If you mean the past within, the past within doesn't require any internet connection or invitation. You and your partner need each copy of game (make sure both have same version (full version or demo/lite version)) and a place for communication (like voice chat, text, or same room in real life). One choose past and the other choose future, choose same insect if you have full version, communicate each other and follow the instructions

It's a long waited project they revealed way back at the end of 2018. It was intended to release in 2019 alongside with the game that we now know as The Past Within. Sadly, things changed and TPW took too much time and work to be made, resulting in change of plans

I've made more progress today

I'm still trying to figure out the doors for the cabinets, but with the fishing rod building system I made, I can just adapt it for locked cabinets

Honestly was a lot more work trying to get the fishing rod in the new position, the commands for making sure I had the previous thing setup also stumped me for a few minutes

This may be the last progress update I have for a while though, we're moving starting tomorrow.

If I can do more by tonight, I'll send the update here. I want to try packing the music into the world file so it plays in-game instead of using VLC player on loop

Would it be easier? Probably. For example I want to add hitboxes to the cabinets but want to be able to position it like interaction entities, I could use the Collision Entity mod, but then it would lock out anyone who doesn't want to or doesn't know how to install mods.

Block Displays and Item Displays show the textures of items, Interaction entities allow me to interact with the world, and there's a cool feature called built-in resource packs that allow me to add music and such where I can't substitute with vanilla items.

Yeah, doors are what I want to work on next.

The crowbar system is what taught me to require certain items to do certain interactions, so I intend to adapt it for the doors.

Cool thing is, long time ago when Minecraft was still in the air about what it wanted to be, they added Locked Chests. Fortunately them leaving the sounds used for Locked chests matches almost perfectly for the locked cabinets sounds I will be using.

I know that the game inspiration is in twin peaks but i've been recently reading about spiritism religion... and i kinda feel some similarities between some parts of game with this religion... it would make sense if every character in the game is dead, and they are facing stories of their lifes in a Spiritual place called Rusty lake, where the good souls go, but the lake itself is kinda like Umbral, the crow and the mr.owl could be the iluminated spirits(half human half animal) and the dark shadow humans(corrupted souls) kinda has similarity with the concept of the shadow obseessive people of the valley of umbral... am i overthiking too much or i might have a good theory?

Just so you all know: in Brazil spiritism is very popular ,and it has a theory that one of the most calmest places is a spiritual place were souls interact with animals and rest in a complete pure harmony called "Nosso lar" which is the spiritual retirement place located above the rio de janeiro place(in spiritual world)

If I had to create my own play for the theatre, it would be called “The Broken Mirror”.
The stage would show Dale looking into a mirror, but instead of his reflection, you see different versions of himself. past, present, and future. all moving independently. One version tries to warn him(maybe about what happens in paradox or smth?), one tries to stop him, and one just watches. The goal would be to fix the mirror, but every piece you place changes which version becomes real.

If you mean the past within, the past within doesn't require any internet connection or invitation. You and your partner need each copy of the same version (full or lite/demo version) of the game and a place to communicate each other (like dm, voice chat, a room in real life etc.) Than, open the game, one choose past and the other choose future, choose same insect (full version only), communicate each other, and follow the instructions
