**1. Use common sense**If you question whether content is appropriate for this server, it’s probably not.
**2. Language**The main server language is English, so please chat in English in the main channels to keep the server inclusive.
Other languages can be used in their respective language channels and in the “The Past Within”, "Pen & Paper" and #1425769608996192336 channels of the server.
**3. Respect the private lives of yourself and others**Be it Developers, mods or community members. Please avoid needlessly pinging others. Some of us are also online here during our spare time, so if you message someone privately it’s up to them if they respond or not.
Be careful about what personal information you share on this server and do not share the personal information of others without their consent.
**4. Respect others**We have a zero tolerance policy on things like racism, sexism, bigotry, stalking, harassment, invading privacy and inciting others to commit violent acts.
**5. Avoid unnecessary drama**Do not incite users against each other. Don’t argue with the Mods.
Avoid discussions about politics, religion or violence unless it’s part of Rusty Lake.
**6. No NSFW**Do not share nudity or sexual content, this includes fan creations.
Avoid talking about or sharing content containing blood, gore or rape unless it’s part of Rusty Lake.
**7. Do not datamine**Do not share Rusty Lake assets obtained through data mining. This includes things accessible through conventional file explorers. This does not apply to content from the Rusty Lake ARG websites.
Do not share leaked materials or pirated content on this server and do not discuss piracy.
**8. Do not share executable files or scripts**Do not share content that tampers with the Discord client or someone else’s computer. Avoid sharing shady / suspicious links.
**9. No advertising unless you have permission**Including, but not limited to: fundraisers, polls, questionnaires, rewards programs, etc. Please contact a Mod if you have something you wish to advertise.
**__10. Keep your messages qualitative __**Don’t spam or flood (this includes voice chat) and avoid double posts. Do not abuse Discord’s markdown text formatting (including spoiler markers). Avoid copypastas and do not troll.
Please stick to a channel’s designated topic, which you can find in a channel's description.
You may be autobanned for five minutes if our bot detects link spam, if you find yourself banned without explanation this is probably why, you can rejoin after five minutes.
**11. Don’t impersonate others**This server is not a place for roleplay.
Purposefully changing your profile picture, name, bio, or other aspects of your server identity to insult or fool people will result in an instant ban.
**12. Being underage**As per Discord’s TOS, the minimum age required to use Discord is 13. If you’re under the age of 13 you will immediately be banned.
**13. Discord TOS**Follow Discord’s TOS and Community Guidelines. Failure to do so will result in a ban and your profile being reported to Discord’s Trust & Safety team.
Using a second account to avoid a mute or ban resulting from breaking the rules will result in that account being banned.
If you see anyone break the rules or feel like you're getting harassed, please mention a <@&358613639554400258> in the server to avoid mini-modding. The rules apply to an entire user profile (profile picture, banner, status, bio, etc.). If no mods are available, mention <@&357145081872121866>, @tribal whale or @torpid tinsel. When in doubt, please ask!
