I had a mod that I removed and uninstalled that had changed the rmr optic name to Aimpoint ACRO and it even persisted through a reinstall of the game. I then found a steam file under game saves for steam cloud saves and and deleted it ( I believe it was a vsf file) and that fixed it. So some things might be carrying over from steam cloud saves.

Anyone willing to test my very first RoN Ai Mod, which should make the game feel much more like a SWAT Simulation, instead of a Blackops Simulation like Ground Branch (Shoot first, ask questions later).
Suspects are more likely to surrender and cooperate instead of 95% of them going suicidal if a bunch of SWAT officers aim and shout at them. However they are not easier. Anyone willing to give it a test run and give me some feedback? I optimised it for the Postal Warehouse, Valley and Gas station maps for now. As little extra i removed the trip wires from most of the maps, to keep it more realistic and flowing as well.
(Optional Suggestion: Best to play with lethal guns (as most swat teams use them mostly) and without the mirror thingy, because almost no (or non at all?) SWAT Units anyway use this things in real.)

I'm trying to make some AI tweaks, but the .ini doesn't get saved to a Config folder when I check the .pak

Instead it just saves the .ini, and loses the Config folder, which I'm pretty sure won't work

Skins usually replace existing uniforms. Go to the mirror and press F near it, that should allow you to view it (and you can change faces too). Alternatively, singleplayer, any missions, look at the bots

Mod.io suffers from issues. If you unsubscribe from mods, there's a good chance the mod will remain active and you manually have to purge it. Others don't use it because the devs said mod integration will be done via Steam workshop

You just need to clean out the junk from the pre Adam implementation if you used it.
Like it's only 3 steps.

Didn't play the game in a while, reinstalled the game and tried to set some mods (SWAT 4 map remakes), for some reason it downloads them folder in disk C and also I found the archive in temp folder. I also have mods folder inside the game folder, but it weights like 120 mb, and the mod weights 1 GB. How can I change the destination problem or smth?

Also, when I download the mod and restart the game, it makes me login to the account again when I press "mods" and it downloads the mod again. It does that all the time, dunno what to do really :/

I have gunfighter movement mod installed instead of jugs gameplay review and I also have my Swat AI doing a weird goosestep when walking but I dont see that as a bug listed on Nexus; do the authors know about that? I don't remember them doing that before the Adam Update.

Yes But both Gunfighter and Jugs have movement adjustment modifications and I believe it messes up the Swat AI's Movement animation making them walk like they attended the Monty python school for silly walks.

It seems the "Not so convenient" modded maps are broken after the most recent hot fix. The maps are completely pitch black like there's no lighting. Even if you add point lighting with the console un-locker camera mod it doesn't work. So yes I believe the recent update broke lighting for certain mod maps.

@steep cargo @naive thorn Happened on our level. We narrowed it down to the volumetric clouds of the third party UDS content breaking.

also, if you find weird checkermarks on the floors/walls/ceilings of levels, that's another thing that broke with the hotfix

related to custom maps

if you want a quick fix for it, go into options, graphics, advanced graphics settings, turn world decals off

or get rid of the custom maps

I noticed the weird white checker spots all over the CQB training modded map twith toggleable NPCs and wondered that too. like white linoleum squares randomly on walls and floors.

Yep, that's a new mod-map related issue. I wrote the quick fix above, or you can fix it by just getting rid of the modded maps

I have checksum disabled so when hosting, others who have theirs turned off should be able to join- I've checked all my paks, but whenever this specific pak is installed, nobody can join my server.
