In this case, you are right. However if you load into SP or MP with incompatible mods, it will not always give you some error that points you to mods being the issue, I have experienced that a lot but I know that if my game crashes, the root cause is 99.9% some mod I just installed

There's a known crash caused by the Xbox headset being plugged into the controller, other than that loadouts seems to get broken so try to create a new save.

I doesnt have to be a memory leak, look at your gpu and system ram in taskmanager while playing and look if one of them is full when the fps drop. If it is a memory leak its a game problem and only the devs can fix it.

Well, the "corrupt data" is important to me, you should have said that at first honestly but no biggie. It means you have mods that are incompatible with the current game version, so head into your directory E:\steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks and only the packchunks from number 0 to number 22 are vanilla, delete everything else

So after the update at the beginning of this month (I don’t remember the date, 7th or 8th), I can no longer interact with any multiplayer aspect of the Main Menu.

For example, when I go to host a lobby and press ‘Create Game’, nothing happens… like at all. Not an error message, nothing. Same with when I receive an invite from someone else. I accept… nothing happens at all.

So I have been trying to host a game on my xbox with my friends (one on PC and the other on PS5.) I send an game invite, through the game to my PS5 friend and he's able to join. But when my PC friend accepts the invite it says he can't connect. Then it does the same thing (vice versa) for my friend on PC. Cross-platform is enabled and we're friends through EPIC. No idea what else there is to do to rectify this issue

6th post: boys I need help 😭

So after the update at the beginning of this month (I don’t remember the date, 7th or 8th), I can no longer interact with any multiplayer aspect of the Main Menu.

For example, when I go to host a lobby and press ‘Create Game’, nothing happens… like at all. Not an error message, nothing. Same with when I receive an invite from someone else. I accept… nothing happens at all.

What I’ve done:

1. ⁠Cleared Mods, Safe Mode ❌
2. ⁠Uninstalled & Reinstalled ❌
3. ⁠Verified Game Files 4 Times ❌

Gen9's already have pretty fast SSDs with a datastream compression as is. You can't replace the internal drive on Xbox also. And the add-in cards won't have much better speeds.

My guess is that the loading times are long for the same reason as they are on some PCs: Shader recompilation every time.

You can only expand the storage on both of them tho:
On Xbox, there's a proprietary slot for add-in cards (which are internally just M.2 2230 SSD)
On PS5, there's full 2280 (or maybe 22110) M.2 slot for add-in SSD

Could be a lot of different things to be honest. For starters, what are your specs? If you are on an Nvidia Card, did you make sure that the power setting in Nvidia Control panel is set to maximum performance? What temperature is your GPU running at? It can also be that the thermal paste pads in the PS5 are on their way out and may need some loving in the form of new thermal paste. Try running the game in fidelity mode and let us know if it craps out on you.

PC here. Bought the game 8/11 and have not been able to join a multiplayer server or a friends game. For general servers I get a “no lobbies found in your preferred region” which was set to worldwide. When I try to join a friends invite I get “invite expired” no matter when it was sent. They are also unable to join my server. Other games on PC work just fine on other servers. If you downloaded mods, remove them using the clear mods option. Enable joining modded lobbies in settings and toggle crossplay on/off. Make sure you aren't using a VPN as well and check your anti-virus/firewall.

Hey guys. My buddy bought RoN to play with us and his game is in a sort of limbo. He can play singleplayer, but crossplay is broken. Whenever he tries to join a game, friends-only or public, or tries to create his own multiplayer lobby, the buttons to do so are just dead. There is no error message and the game doesn’t crash, just nothing happens when he clicks the button. Crossplay is enabled, modded servers are enabled, he’s tried verifying files, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, joining lobbies through Steam instead of the game directly, checked Windows security/firewall blocks, and just about everything else under the sun. He’s not using a VPN and multiplayer on other games works just fine - it’s not a problem with his router/connection. We’ve been trying to fix it for days and have been cross referencing other posts talking about similar issues with multiplayer but they all had an actual error to work with, for him the multiplayer related buttons are just dead and do nothing. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix we’ll be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I recently purchased Ready or Not and for some reason it refuses to launch on Steam. I have been searching and doing lots of self-diagnosing, but im officially worn out and would like a pro to step in. Yes, it would slow down your lobby but over time it'd improve. You can try adding "-DX11" to Steams launch command but I do not know if that'd change it to DX11. Not sure what causes you to only be able to launch from the shipping.exe either.

Hello everyone, my friend just got his hands on Ready Or Not and when we decided to load up a multiplayer game, this is what he was met with.

We both average around 100+ Upload and Download Mbps.
We are both in the same region, we don't even live that far from eachother, (perhaps 6mins away with a car).

What could be the issue? I know his internet is better than mine, but I have got all the DLCs which is why I am hosting.
But with us it's always that if one is not the host the other is the one who jitters.

If you are using mods, this is known to be caused by the host having gunfighter movement mod (or other movement mods) while other players do not.

It really depends on the implementation. This does not actually have to be the case, so many games have issues where DX11 works better even on RTX 4090, DX12 cripples the performance severely, and the worst part is that there is no clear reason behind it. You can have 3 people with the same specs, 2 of them will run DX12 fine and 1 person is going to run DX12 like a potato

So I press lmb, gun moves, and you can see the bullet hit a paper target for instance, and first when the shoot movement resets, the sound appears. I need some help.
I am experiencing some issues with the game.
After purchasing the 2 available DLCs for RoN and installing them, I
have not been able to play the game anymore, because:

1- The game says I do not own the DLCs (I have already spoken with
Steam support, and they told me that on their side no errors are
showing).
2- The game crashes and closes whenever I try to start a match in any
game mode (I believe this is related to the fact that it does not
recognize the DLCs).

To try and resolve the issue, I have already verified the integrity of
the game files as well as completely reinstalled all files, but
nothing has changed.

I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

never had your issue but the general steps are to:

1. if you're using dx12, try launching in dx11
2. verify steam files
3. update graphics drivers(if needed)
4. reboot pc
   try running again, if you still get error, set launch option to "Launch Clear Mods / Saved Data" (in general tab) and then launch game, hit yes to the prompts, then switch option back to dx11 and launch again

note that the Launch Clear Mods / Saved Data thing doesn't actually wipe your commander saves, even though the name would suggest it does

hey, I’m not able to access any online even though I have perfectly fine Internet whenever I try to join a friends game it tells me that it timed out even though we are quite literally sitting next to each other and whenever I try to find a public game, it immediately tells me that no one is playing in my area, even though I have it on worldwide
