I'm having an issue with trying to get into a game. I can load the game and get to the main menu, but if I try to click "Continue", "Single Player", or "Multiplayer" it starts to load but then crashes the game. If I try to join a friend's game, it says something along the lines of "Unable to join due to mods not allowed" but I don't have any mods installed.

I have already verified file integrity on Steam
I have tried running in DX11, DX12, and Safe Mode
I have already updated the graphics drivers

Anybody got any additional tips or ideas as to what's wrong? Anything would be appreciated.

well technically its less about impatience and more about the asynchronous pipeline stalls causing perceived load latency during shader precompilation which makes the frame allocation look frozen until the resource heap finishes binding

honestly the engine just needs an overhaul so shader cache initialization is decoupled from the main thread. if they pre-bake DX12 pipeline states and store them in a persistent cache between sessions, you’d eliminate the initial compilation bottleneck. They could also implement incremental shader compilation so you’re not stuck waiting on the entire asset pool before first frame render.

Launch options do work the same way, just that RON already has a render path as a launch option so you are either adding redundant ones or conflicting ones if you are doing it via Steam.

Technically you can use MSI Afterburner and cap pwoer target 10-15% lower and see how it goes. Modern GPUs have power/clock/voltage curves so they downscale boost and voltage along the limited power on their own.

The button will simply be invalidated if you are not connected to EOS backend regardless if you have the account linked or not. The entire MP is now on EOS.

Check if there is "attempting to connect" or something in bottom left corner of Main Menu, other than that reinstall EOS, ensure EOS and its processes are not blocked in antivirus or firewall, etc.

On my commander mode I am missing 4 out of the 18 S-ranks, but iirc it doesn't matter if you S-rank in single or multiplayer

There was a bug in previous patches and after main LSS update that didn't correctly count the rankings (well, at all). If you did any of the levels prior to the last patch you have to re-do them again now.
Additionally, there was and still is a generic scoring bug in the save file where it does not correctly tracks float value, workaround is the same, redo the level again.
