That's either caused by mods on either your or Hosts side, or your or hosts network isn't stable or is being blocked.

Try to join known reliable hosts or try to host the game yourself, preferably without mods so you can verify what the problem is.

hey, does anyone know how to properly limit ready or not to 60 fps and use frame gen to boost it to 120? when i cap it at 60 it ends up locking to 30 and frame gens to 60. but if i set the cap to anything above 100, it just ignores it and goes to like 180 fps. anything below 100 just cuts it in half and frame gens the rest. anyone got a fix?

while frame gen is quite nice, the latency on my 4070 with max & uncapped fps reaches in the 40s which is quite hard to play

Frame Gen is always going to add latency so that request kinda doesn't make sense.
The fact it halves the real framerate when an FPS cap is introduced is it's normal behavior, keep in mind that it always inserts a frame between each real one, meaning it always has to "double" the FPS number.

If you, for whatever reason, want to add latency to the system just to get that 120FPS lock, it might be possible to lock V-sync via driver override, that tends to fare better in this instance.
But FrameGen halving framerate with in-game vsync is "As Designed".

FULLSCREEN AND RESOLUTION SLIDER AREN'T WORKING PROPERLY.

Hello I am trying to run the game in 21:9 3440x1440 in exclusive fullscreen. Previously it worked, but now if I try to run the game in Exclusive fullscreen, it only shows a part of the game, like it doesn't fit the one time and the other time it only shows what seems to be a 2560x1440 resolution, where the game is shown but also my desktop is visible.

also, the resolution slider doesn't work, it doesn't show any resolutions anymore, I can only slide it to minimum or to maximum with no indication of what I am actually setting the resolution to....

The only way I can run the game is in windowed fullscreen, then it works, but I still cannot change the resolution ingame via the in-game slider.

does anyone know what I could try?

I'm not sure what any of this in the images says but I can tell its an internet speed test. It's not terrible but it is relatively slow, so if your connecting servers outside of the EU then that makes sense. If it's not connecting to EU servers then i don't really know what the issue would be

I apologize if I repeat to much, but I still receive crashes a lot. I already renamed the dll - File in Nvidia folder, tried to reinstall, multiples times - guess it's now the 10th time - doing file check via steam, got no mods at all running.

Well here comes the strange part to this: one time I can play nice, debrief is over, I choose repeat that mission -> crash, same goes by other options. After that multiple countless times crashes and freezes. Those comes some with, some without crash report window. FPS Limiter is 60 with V-Sync and on fullscreen at 1920 x 1080 on dx11 (dx12 crashes immediately). So I believe it's RoN self or I do something wrong I'm not aware of.

Evening all, I just re-installed RoN after wiping my windows install and starting over with Linux (Fedora), however I find myself unable to use any mods at all as Mod.io gives me an "Error code 1" or "Mod.io SDK is not initialized" error. Even when trying to install mods to the /content/pak folder manually.

Ron uses peer to peer. It doesn’t have dedicated servers yet. So the game will put you in lobbies suited best for your connection but that might mean you get connected to lobbies that the host doesn’t have stable connection

I think generally it is an issue if you have special characters in your name, or steam is messing up. Fully restart your computer after clearing the steam download cache and hopefully it will fix it

Your computer shutting itself off is a hardware or other software issue, not an issue with the game. It does not matter that this is the only game you have experienced it with. You should look at the event viewer in Windows to look for clues.

Just bought the game, but it crashes at start up. I might get to the first splash screen but usually doesn't even get there. Just goes back to the steam page with the play button ready to start the game again. I don't even get an error message of any kind.

TS Steps: Reinstalled the game, verified anti-virus wasn't affecting it, verified game files, restarted PC, tried all the launch options, ensured my pc/graphics card don't have any updates.

Under DX12 the game compiles shaders on loading screens and the devs never implemented proper UI for it so the game hangs at the start or the end of the loading for as long as it compiles the shaders.
If you modify your video settings it compiles the mission ones on these screens, up till the game either compiles all combinations or till you stop changing the settings.

Upscalers are still broken since they didn't get a hotfix for those. Disable DLSS and frame gen also, and run the game at 100% native screen resolution.

Your game is most likely launching on integrated graphics stop it from doing so by going to nvidia control panel > Manage 3D settings > Program Settings > add Ready or Not(ReadyOrNot-Win64-Shipping.exe) > go to OpenGL Rendering GPU and change from Auto-select to your dedicated GPU. If that doesn't work, disable your iGPU in device manager or BIOS.

Well, those specs are generally for what can run the game, not what can run the game well. Besides that, the game is just poorly optimized, so it wouldn't really make any difference. RTX 5090 users can experience poor performance just as much as anybody else with this game. It tends to vary from person to person on what their performance is, regardless of if they have got god tier PC specs or not.

You can try launching the .exe in: Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Binaries\Win64 directly I hear that's improved performance for some people for some reason.

Nope they just changed how equipping them works. In loadout click on your helmet under headwear there you can equip the Gas mask under facewear. Mount is for NVGs and if you click on the helmet you can switch between no helmet or ballistic mask from helmet only.

Along with other MAJOR optimizations they are doing for the next patch. So let's all hope the game runs better, smoother and without any stuttering or being VRAM hungry on Low settings (8GB VRAM on Low is absurd, when the game says it needs 2GB Minimum and 6GB Recommended for High).

Yeah, same, love the game but it's a bit unplayable even on my PC which is a Ryzen 5600X and a RX 6600 XT, 8GB of VRAM should be plenty for High Textures, or even Max. Considering Steam Specs on the page. If not, they should change that to reflect it. UE5 dropped my FPS by double, from 160 to 80 or something like that, it's crazy. I have to use FSR 3.1 now or FrameGen. And it still stutters due to VRAM usage being 8GB at 1080p. Absurd, i tell you. I can't even imagine playing the game on the minimum specs (And btw, minimum specs means the game is fully playable at 60 FPS on Low, not "I can run the game, but can't play it")

Considering that the game didn't change in that timeframe, the issue is external.
If you modified the game, remove those mods, if you altered your system, drivers or other apps, roll back the changes.
Change the host around to see who gets a more stable environment.
Reboot routers, not be on wireless connections, etc.

Also, at times, Steam has outages so it kicks you out occasionally, something to keep in mind also.

Depends on which resolution you are trying to play at.
Your card is a 1080p tier for most modern games but it should run RoN competently enough even at 1440p for base maps.
Though keep in mind that the optiwand on non FS mode, the team cam and the helicam will eat framerate due to it being dual render tech.

60FPS is good enough target, if you are expecting more, buy better CPU.

Considering that my old 1060 (not the fake one tho) runs even the dlc maps adequately enough on i5-3570K, I'm inclined to either say your target is optimistic at given settings or there's something else going on (maybe old settings pulling it down, maybe external issue).

Depending on what apps you have running, you have to whitelist ".\SteamApps\Downloading\" and ".\SteamApps\Common\Ready Or Not\" directory from AV scan, and disallow other apps from interfering or hooking into the game files in those 2 locations.

anyone know why my monitor keeps going off on ready or not..? it only happens in some levels and it happens mostly after progressing further in the map. sometimes it goes off for a few seconds and back on, does it a lot repeatedly or just stays off for a long time. I say off but the monitor doesn't actually turn off, it just goes black but that also involves when i'm tabbed out, it will still go black on other windows too.

I thought it might be a hardware issue on my end but this only happens on this game, literally does not happen on anything else at all..

If the game doesn’t shutdown and crash then it’s likely more hardware then the game itself

As long as the game doesn’t crash or stops running and you can move around and stuff in game then it’s very unlikely a game issue

Well, if you aren't getting framerate problems, locking it might help since unlocked will make your system overheat

or just, do what its doing now

a lot of the game works fine its just these 2 specific levels that ive had the issue with most
