I found out that when downloading the mods directly through the game, they end up in the wrong folder, both for me and my friends. This folder isn’t even recognized by the game, it seems. The solution is to download the mods manually and copy them into the "Paks" folder.

Hm, well as a last resort i'd suggest calling your ISP to report issues with connecting to the other one. Hosting sessions uses steam's Peer2Peer system so it might also just be related to steam in some way

Port forwarding might not do anything since RoN uses steam, but maybe there are some steam ports that need forwarding to help

hello. I installed the game a few days ago and it was crashing on startup every time. I have since updated my BIOS and it now is able to start up but crashes half the time, and certain levels always seem to crash. the crash reports list several low level fatal errors like serialization. I have updated drivers, updated windows, ran a memory diagnostic that found no issues, tried both low and high graphics settings, have never ran any mods, did a clean reinstall, verified game files, etc. I can put the crash reports here if that would help. this is the only game I have had these types of issues with so I do not think it is a PC issue. the game is installed on an SSD with over 50 gigs of free space.

I was playing the game when I noticed my mouse was accidently leaving the screen (and game), hurting my gameplay. Therefore, I went into options and switch from windowed fullscreen to just fullscreen. However, when I did that, my mouse now did not reach the ends of the screen, so I switched back. Yet, after doing so, my FPS dropped and my mouse turned smaller. There was extreme lagging and stutering both in-game and menus. I have tried various fixes, including uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but the issue persisted.

end of the day, try with both DX11 and 12. minimize graphics and turn up what you prefer (resolution, texture quality and medium antialisasing is what i find runs best on a 2070)

but depending on ur gpu id say you can bump your resolution and texture quality without much issue (all my own experience)

Just because it manages in other games doesn't mean it manages RoN. RoN is P2P, if your friend is simply too far, they will struggle with their connection for example. Or if their connection is unstable to the host.

I am facing while attempting to play "Ready or Not." Whenever I launch the game, the menu loads without issue, but upon clicking any button, the game freezes and crashes, presenting the following error message:

"Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running. Exiting..."

Here is some additional information regarding my system specifications:

Main Menu is by default running on uncapped framerate and is mostly GPU bound, so it will render as many frames as your HW allows.

Hello guys I messaged a week ago that my game won’t let me join ingame or spawn at all. I noticed that everything working fine without lags or anything, except for my loading times. For some reason the loading time takes ages(1min or more) to join a lobby or load into the map.

Just following up about my issue from a week ago:

I was playing the Ready or Not recently when I noticed my mouse was accidentally leaving the screen (and game), hurting my gameplay. Therefore, I went into options and switched from windowed fullscreen to just fullscreen. However, when I did so, my mouse now did not reach the ends of the screen, so I attempted to switch back, but my mouse would not get the apply options button at the bottom corner. Therefore, I used my touchscreen to apply the changes, but after doing so, my FPS dropped, and my mouse turned smaller. There was extreme lagging and stuttering both in-game and on menus. I have tried various fixes, including uninstalling and reinstalling the game, but the issue persisted. I hope there is a resolution to my problem.

Also from a quick google search, are you using an intel CPU? If so, look up "Intel graphics" in the windows search and if something called "intell graphics command center" shows up click it and go to the display section on there

Make sure the scaling in that section is set to centered

how do I stop my game getting reset to default? at least 4 times already I've had all my progress and settings wiped

I'm getting really tired of playing the first 4 levels over and over until my game crashes and everything gets reset

never had this happen on any other game, it's really annoying

I would've got a refund if I knew none of my progress would save

Is there a possible way to run this game on a supported controller? I purchased this game assuming that I could easily play it via my PS5 controller but the community templates lack info/details, and it’s becoming aggravating. Before the Home Invasion update there have been a community preset for Steam Input emulation, but this to my knowledge stopped working entirely after the update.

i tried to to the steps in the modding FAQ but there were not any mods in the pak folder, i have mods installed in-game that are all up to date but the mods to not show up in game, please help i have tried to wipe my game completely and turn off cloud saves but nothing has worked so far, before home invasion everything worked fine

It's normally inside the paks folder and the folder is normally named mod.io but mod.io is broken and hasn't been creating that folder as it hasn't been deploying mods.

MX is a low tier product line from Nvidia so that i7 was already bound to be ULV one since higher performance ones were not paired with such a GPU that's almost in the same tier as that Intel UHD.
i.e. the entire thing was bound to be significantly below minspec just from that signle information alone :3

Noticing a huge drop in frames. Haven’t played since september, was on High graphics settings running between 60-80 fps. Both solo and multiplayer Sometimes 40 depending on the map. But would always be stable. I am now running medium, 40fps max and it is very stuttering a lot with lag spikes on solo. Any suggestions or reasoning for the huge switch?
