I have version 6.5, and I've discovered a bug. I've just arrived on Route 4 for the first time after leaving Mt. Moon, and there's a vulpix overworld sprite sitting there a little bit to the right of the Mt. Moon exit. When I try to interact with the vulpix, I get this popup error message, and the game crashes when I press the "OK" button on it.

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon. If you have more options, reshuffle each.

No. You’ll need to revert a backup. The bug was fixed so it doesn’t happen anymore but there’s no way to get your team back without reverting a backup save

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. Double click the folder named backups
  4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
  5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
  6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

I've encountered a bug on Knot Island, but logically it could appear anywhere... if you interact with a sandcastle on the beach it disapears, and when i went afk the sandcastle respawned inside of me and blocked me from every movement (i got free with the debugger, so its not that impactful) PS: got the game from the discord

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

  1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
  2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. Double click the folder named backups
  4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
  5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
  6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

To successfully import your own custom sprite, please follow these steps:

Sprite Requirements:

  1. Format: The sprite must be in .png format.
  2. Naming Convention: Name your sprite according to the game's dex numbering. For example, a fusion of Aegislash and Goodra should be named 329.446.png.

Importing Your Sprite:

  1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.
  2. Open your game folder and navigate to Graphics/CustomBattlers/Sprites to import.
  3. Paste your sprite into this folder.

In-Game Instructions:

Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

I believe I've found a bug, but I have no way of testing it thoroughly in a timely manner as I don't have the magic boots. I don't think Luvdisc can generate as a wild encounter in area randomized mode. By manually checking grass and surf with the Pokeradar, and fishing the fishing encounters, I almost completely combed through two different randomizations, which were set at 500 base stats range, and combed through most of two more randomizations, one of which was at 50 and the other at 150 base stats range, and have not found a single encounter of Luvdisc. I have a Google Sheet I was keeping track of all the encounters with, so I know it's not confirmation bias. Is it possible to check if a pokemon has an encounter somewhere with debug mode quickly, and if so, would someone be willing to check a couple randomizations to test if I'm just really unlucky?

Hey @sweet sleet! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

  • Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

  • Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

It's just something I've observed while trying to luck into a randomization that has all the legendaries as wild encounters. Should I make a bug report, even though there's a chance I've just not gotten it? I estimate I've checked at least 5000 encounter slots, so there's like a .00005% it's not a bug...

Hi, for some reason I can battle the Dragon type expert again after beating him, it would count towards the type expert quest line. So... after winning against him the second time it counted it as 13/12 in the pop up text, yet the quest is not completed since it now reads as 0/12. This happens when you try connecting to the game when you are having an internet outage. In some cases, your internet provider will override the DownloadedSettings file and add in internet provider error messages in there, that is why it can't read the file now

This happens whenever I go to battle the guy who gave me the "Mewtoo"
(for context: I wanted to see how it worked in selecting the Pokémon he wanted. I then learned that he asks for the pokemon in the first slot. so I gave him a fainted magikarp. IDK if that has anything to do with it or if this is just a problem on my end)

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

  1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
  2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

Not really sure if its my own doing or not but figured i'd report a bug. double team is not displaying an attack animation for my pokemon pikados (pikachu head, gyarados body) I am not looking for support because I'll be forthcoming I did mess with and activate debug mode outside of supported channels (added some nuggets and a revive or 2 before really exploring the discord more and learning the rules here) but wanted to say something in case the devs needed/wanted to know. Could also be related to a bugfix for double team crashing the game a month ago. i looked in the bug reports channel first and came across a post saying to come here if the problem persisted. Again not looking for support assuming its void for my save/ install anyways. But thank you to everyone for your amazing work and support ot those who can recieve it.

i try to be forthcoming I come from a bunch of skyrim modding and fallout 4 modding communities so modding games comes pretty standard to me so i dug right into opening the game up after i installed it and exploring debug options through reddit posts (which i think you guys nuked a day or 2 after i linked it good on you lol haha) but i totally understand the rules and why they exist. outside of outright cheating in the online aspect of your community modification of game files makes troubleshooting almost impossible for support teams because of the multitude of things that you could mess up taking random peoples advice lol. That being said the debug mode is particularly impressive if i may say so myself without to much self incrimination. Just stood out to me starkly as the rest of the animations i've seen are wonderful. lol glad to know its not a bug though appreciate the response even.

Hey @glad girder! Magic Boots are an IN GAME reward for catching all unfused 501 Pokemon in a non-randomized file (Dex number 1-501). After doing so, the Developer in Celadon will reward you with them. Putting them on will unlock DEBUG options that you can play with.
