Lightweight Installer Update:

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click 'INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat'

App Installer Update:

1. Open the App
2. Click Installation Menu -> Update Game -> Click Update

Both options will update the game files for you. If it didn't, rerun the update and wait for it to finish. Take and share a screenshot of the window to #tech-support

If you are having issues with sprites after using our new zip, this means you did not set it up correctly. Reasons it didn't work:

1. You didn't use our 2.57gb zip download from megaman's post in #downloads
2. You forgot to turn off download sprites and restart your game
3. You extracted it on top of an existing InfiniteFusion folder so it is conflicting
4. You are opening it from your old game files or shortcut. You need to open it within the new folder that was extracted with the 2.57gb zip

If you did ALL above, share a screenshot of you doing step 5 of the guide to show us your game files.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Is there any correlation between this setting being on and my game crashing or no because if not then it most likely is off and I don't remember, because i didn't have any issues with sprites prior to the issue I'm having currently

you should have it off because that'll just create issues of more sprites being ?marks with it on

if it is on that "shouldn't" be causing any crashes, but it is possible that the partial sprite filled download that android now has is causing some issues

android wasn't really designed to have that many images shoved onto it at one time

that's up to you, but honestly the game was never made for anything other than windows, everything else is a work around and has its own quirks with how well the game decides to function

And the Kalos Triple Fusion might not exist yet in the beta, so it defaults to Pikachu

Triple fusions are different that regular fusion. Where a normal fusion takes the stats and moveset from the pokemon used, triple fusions have to be manually coded

I have tried that, which gave the same issue. But my partner moved the downloads file to the sd card. So since it started there I tried to extract it to the desktop of the steam deck though it lead to the same issue.

I finally got access to the backup file so I am gonna try and do it the origional way once it downloads

Hey @sweet bone! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

your best bet in this instance will be a clean install to ensure there isn't anything weird going on

delete your current infinite fusion folder and from the recycle/trash bin as well
restart your pc
do a fresh download from megaman's post in #downloads following that guide

then once everything is all guchi, try launching the game from those new files to see if the issue crops back up

if it does, then something on your pc is causing the problem, in which case we can't help with that

Wondering what the different game files are?

• Game.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
• Game-default.exe is just a copy of the above.
• Game-preloaded.exe is the lesser version of the game just to make it work on slower computers. It requires ALL sprites to be local on your computer to work properly, but has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart.

Hey @idle badger! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

If you are having issues with sprites after using our new zip, this means you did not set it up correctly. Reasons it didn't work:

1. You didn't use our 2.57gb zip download from megaman's post in #downloads
2. You forgot to turn off download sprites and restart your game
3. You extracted it on top of an existing InfiniteFusion folder so it is conflicting
4. You are opening it from your old game files or shortcut. You need to open it within the new folder that was extracted with the 2.57gb zip

If you did ALL above, share a screenshot of you doing step 5 of the guide to show us your game files.

Hey @covert night! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

Please be patient until the next larger update where you can customize your trainer further since only 3 outfits are available at the moment. The old way of changing custom player sprites will not work anymore.

Hey @frozen grove! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.
