Will there be Mega Evolutions? Since I'm gonna guess that this Pokemon: Infinite Fusion - Hoenn will take elements from both Emerald and ORAS with the presence of Mega Evolution in Hoenn being a part of the latter's lore.

One way I can see Mega Evolutions being implemented, that could be pretty fun, is that Mega Stones can be fused with the Pokemon that's compatible with them to make their Mega Evolutions permanent.

With Perma-Mega Pokemon being unique amongst Pokemon Fusions is that they can be used in Fusions themselves. The reason being that unlike regular Fusion Pokemon, which are the result of two Pokemon being fused together, Perma-Megas are a result of Pokemon being fused with items. Creating a glitch where the DNA Pokemon counts Perma Megas as a single, unfused Pokemon rather than a Pokemon Fusion.

I just realized that the PIF Hoenn logo shown in the update is a combination of the DNA splicers and Mega Rayquaza's Delta symbol. Which is both clever, and ironic cause Megas aren't in the game

I just watched the video, and while I was initially hesitant about the idea of overworld sprites, the option to turn them off allowed me to just enjoy the ideas presented.
It's a very cool concept, and with how it's described it does seem like it will be better handled than in the mainline games! I'm excited to see how it works in game when the beta releases.

After a couple dozen play throughs of this game, they're some togglable thing I would hope to see in the Hoenn version with NG+.

-Carry over the hair and clothing dye kits, as well as any changes made on the previous file. Honestly surprised we don't do this already.

-Option to carry over your PC storage, party or both/neither. If I don't want to, then I can't carry my cloths over, or am forced to go into debug to remove them all. (Or take 30min to do it manually)

-Option to carry over Infinit Splicers/Reversers. Especially or at least on Randomizer mode. It's randomizer so I want to play around with fusions, especially on future play throughs.

-Option to bring over trainer card backgrounds. This another one I'm surprised we don't already have.

-Option to carry over shiny charm if you have it. It's kind of pointless since we can only get it AFTER completing all 16 gyms and mount silver. At this point one probably has a lot of dex complete already, especially anything they planned to use.

Right now we haven't decided on the exact encounter tables. But on top of base hoenn, we're adding some additional pokemon to routes if it makes sense for the biomes. Having organic weather and time of day helps a lot with this. We dont have any plans to make one game have more than the other, so I would consider it probably equal

I don't think frog plans on removing hoenn mons from pif 1, my best educated guess is that the hoenn pokemon that aren't already in pif 1 will probably be exclusive to hoenn, and the ones already in will stay as they are

The second question feels like it should be broken up. Right now it’s three questions in one and might be hard for people to follow. I’d suggest separating them like this:

Q: Will sprites be the same across both games?
A: Yes, both games share the same custom sprite database so all current and future sprites will be available in both PIF 1 and PIF: Hoenn.

Q: Can we use our old Pokemon from the first game?
A: Yes! Trading between games should be available when the demo comes out. This does not allow you to trade online with other players, it will only be trading between your own save files.

Q: What generation Pokemon are in PIF: Hoenn?
A: The same as PIF 1; Gens 1-3 with a select handful of Pokemon from Gens 4-7. Please note: some Pokemon will be exclusive to PIF 1 and PIF: Hoenn. These exclusives will still be available to transfer between games but will not be found in the wild in both games.
