Okay, so I stopped playing the game sometime around 5.1.1.1 or something, and updated to the recent version. Would interacting with any sequence events that happen to pop up again (that I already completed) break anything? Apparently I saved and quit a couple years back after I beat the 6th gym.

It seemed the whole Celadon Sewers event restarted, at least to get the rival to talk and Erika to join up, but none of the grunts interacted to fight and I even managed to get the lift key (again?) perfectly fine with no out of place issues or fights. Went to Pokemon Tower, nothing happened with that, and same with Silph Co. just to be safe. So far it looks like the only thing that lost its flag because I see nothing else going off in the surrounding area.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. There is a folder named backups. Open it.
  4. If your save slot was A, double click the File A folder
  5. Rename whichever save file you want to revert back to "File A.rxdata"
  6. Copy the save and replace your corrupted/old save with this new one you renamed
    Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter instead on step 6.

How to transfer Hidden Ability from one Pokémon to another

So this can ONLY be done with Pokémon caught naturally with their hidden ability, not with a hidden ability ball. Easiest method would be going to Secret Forest which is always a Hidden Ability area, as it doesn't matter which Pokémon you get with a hidden ability. It only matters that it naturally had that HA.

Take mon with HA and fuse it with the mon you want a HA on, and make sure the mon that currently has the HA is the body

Choose the HA, then use a reverser to reverse the fusion, then unfuse the fusion. The other pokemon should now have its HA!

NOTE: Sometimes stats will be temporarily messed up, but will fix upon leveling or fusing

On the new HA mon, you'll actually get access to the move relearner moves of the moves the other pokemon knew when it was captured in addition to the regular moves it can relearn

Also I would like to take this chance to say, yes, I understand trainers are part of the game. Hey @bronze basin! Are you looking for the Exp Share? You can get it in the Cerulean Pokémon Center from Professor Oak's Aide once you've fused at least 5 Pokémon. They can also be bought from the Silph Co. Lobby for 11,000$ if you saved 7 or more employees, or 8,000$ if you saved all the employees!

To use Exp Share, give it to a Pokémon to hold. That Pokémon will now gain XP without needing to participate in battle.

Exp Share will NOT stack with Exp All.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.
