there are no prerequisites for unlocking the quest. It starts when you put the 4 keystones on the pedestal

gym badges aren't a requirement for it

unless im not understanding what you are looking for 😅 but it gives the long night quest once all 4 are placed

well the most fun is to max out bst at 500, but the downside is low catch rate

you either play around it or lower bst and get less crazy fusions

Hey @surreal basalt! Are you looking for Cut? The Cut HM is given to you by the captain of the S.S Anne! You can get an S.S Anne ticket from Bill at the end of Cerulean Cape, which is north of Cerulean. You'll then find the key to the Captain's cabin on the deck of the S.S Anne. You can also get its replacement item, the Shears, on the east path of Route 2 (only once you have the HM already). You can use Cut to access it from the west path of Route 2, or take Diglett's cave from Vermillion City to get to it!

Magic Boots are an IN GAME reward for catching the base 470 Pokemon in a non-randomized file (Dex number 1-470). After doing so, the Developer in Celadon will reward you with them. Putting them on will unlock DEBUG options that you can play with.

Oh, I remembered another question. I had a Venusaur and Chandelure fused for awhile. I then unfused them. I went to the PC move reminder guy with my unfused Venusaur and it was able to relearn some of Chandelure’s moves such as Hex and Flame Burst. I haven’t been able to recreate this with any other Pokémon however. Is this a feature or bug?

Hey @marble ermine! Are you looking for Strength? The Strength HM is given to you when you wake up the Snorlax south of Lavender Town, you get the HM after the battle. You can also get its replacement item, the Handtruck, on Route 13, from the trainer with a Rhyhorn (only once you have the HM already).

In there, a scientist will give you the Surf HM! You can only use Surf outside of battle if you have 6 Badges.
