Good to know, thanks. I had only beaten Red and found/beaten half the gym leader rematches, but seeing as the new league only ups levels with no change in team composition I don't think I'll go for 100% completion on this first save of mine

Well you could beat e4 once (Kanto), then do Gym (Johto) and beat Red (Mt. Silver) and beat League again. (Should give the option to get Dem Badge). Now have fun with League and gym rematches. @tardy wraith
This is from my memories, so it can be wrong. But this should be how you get the badge.

That is what I did, which is how I got upped levels (in the 80s range, plus the champion's ace at 91) and 50 TP at the end. I haven't installed the Dem mod though

I assume if you manage to get a living dex it'll take a LOT of time to grind money with mankey paw to buy LOTS of splicers to fuse every single pokemon with each other
- obtaining 1st stage self fusions would take quite some effort as well since you can't fuse them in a normal way

The game does have the infinite splicer I think, so money and splicers probably wouldn't be an issue. The sheer number of dudes you'd need to acquire is where the difficulty would be

if you decide to fuse 1 mon with every single mon every day including self fusions, it'll take 420 days
and if 2 mons every day, then 210, which is still quite a lot

Fusing and unfusing a mon only takes a minute at worse so you’d be done one mon in 7 mins then each mon takes less time since you have one less to fuse with each

In this scenario one person has the optimal pc so the game never lags and the other doesn't go sicko mode like mammuth
