I'd say really practice the herrah split (so dark deepnest), learn where you need to go in 1221 so you aren't lost, then just do runs. By doing runs you'll get better at the whole game.

Which is pretty pathetic considering I'm playing all skills.

you can grind scream skip by just incrementing nail damage to something comfy like 490 and hitting him like 3 times

if you get too high you just kill him before he screams

you abyss shriek when hes standing still before screaming, and depending on some factors he'll just die

either way outside doubles, its probably the biggest single timesave you can learn in the fight

and its applicable to every category that fights thk, you can even do dashless scream skip

Hi y'all, Im here with more problems, Obs reaaaaalllyyy doesn't like anything and doesn't want to exist, currently every video i record it splits into about 10 clips and a .mp3 file, it also (before and after it split the clips) freezes for very long periods of time (like only 5 total frames will be captured thoughout a minute long video) my laptop is sad gpu and cpu wise but i scaled it so far down and optimised it so far that at this point i think it's something else. Also if this isn't the right place to ask this question it's fine i can just scan google for a while

Does thk always take 1 damage during the nail stabs, or is it just the ones after the scream?

the one immediately after the scream, you can buffer a fireball for full damage

he starts taking full damage as his forehead falls

another thing to watch out for is you can get instascream after the stabby scream, where he will immediately go into the final scream

very important to have music on for that

I think I need to focus more on scream skip, than on skip skip. The only times I can consistently kill him before he screams, is when he does his bouncing attack, or his balloon attack.

most of the dodging strats depend on trying to get them to fly into a platform or other solid object so that they despawn

you can only do that on the last phase of absolute radiance

in which they despawn when going offscreen

they don't do that in the regular radiance fight

don't try to heal in the first phase. once she moves to the middle and starts raining swords then you can heal in the spaces between them so long as you're quick about it

i recommend you watch how other people dodge the different attacks she has in their runs

panic healing is a very bad idea against the radiance because even if you're successful, if you get hit right after again you're still down 1 hp

keep in mind priorities in the fight are quite different when you only have shade soul though

just use your soul for spells until the raining swords phase

spells will make the fight faster and therefore safer

i personally don't like healing on the swords phase, since that's the one i'm personally the worst at. i try pushing through that one and saving soul to heal on after she's knocked down

so i've been trying to do the impossible any% mod and in practicing watcher knights, found a consistent bug in which they don't spawn in, allowing you to skip the fight entirely. Figured this probably came under the "breaking boss AI" rule or was at least adjacent and so would be against the rules, but figured it couldn't hurt to get a specific ruling either.

yeah first time running anything in HK, so it's just gonna be a lot of practice to get it consistent, getting closer bit by bit though! next hurdle is definitely going to be HK but as long as I get to the point that I can actually finish a run I'll probably be happy

started off doing it a few times with infinite health because i really just downloaded it initially to do some really hard platforming but man it's a whole different ballpark when the bosses can actually hurt you
