It's not available on consoles. But you're not missing anything; there is no content related to it. It was a prototype feature that was worked on as kind of a side project of a former dev team member and it was never fleshed out, and essentially all it amounts to is clicking a button and then about a month later you get a few bonus minerals and/or credits

Cant seem to translate my saved data over from ps4 to ps5.
Checking on the ps4 version on my ps5 the save files are there but all say level 1, no time played. Have tried reinstalling. Tried copying over to new save slot. Nothing. I’m scared to try stuff in case I lose my hundreds of hours of play time.

Yes, they just count as gold at the end of the game. Works like all other minerals. Unlike cargo crates and core infusers etc where you need to be there at the time to get the reward.

On PlayStation you have to have PS+ and I believe you have to turn on automatic cloud backups as it's not enabled by default. If you didn't have it enabled when playing on the PS4 version, it wouldn't have produced any cloud saves of your progress.

Ghost Ship Games doesn't have storage for cloud saves, each version of the game uses its platform's cloud save system. So whatever shows up in the Save Menu are the only available cloud saves. All other saves would be local.

There isn't a way to do this. However, starting over can be kinda interesting. It can be neat to unlock stuff again if it's been a while since you had to unlock all the weapons and modifications. And getting overclocks is faster than it's ever been (although it's still a bit slow).
It'll cause you to play a little differently, at least for a while, and that can be fun

you're joking right? everybody i know has connection issues with the PS version. i actually got the PC version as a well a couple of days ago and guess what? not a single issue anymore on the exact same connection

so it's 100% the PS version that is in a bad shape. they can stick their heads in the sand and pretend it's some obscure issue but it clearly isn't

• Use the Laser Pointer to identify and/or mark things. This is especially useful when you're first starting out for identifying the rare minerals which you need for upgrading your equipment. Also great for identifying (and marking!) secondary objectives.

• Some of the rare minerals are out in the open, but others are buried in the walls, ceilings, and floors of the caves. If you see patches of small, faintly glowing crystals/minerals, there's a good chance there's something valuable to dig out.

• Starting on Hazard Level 2 is generally a pretty decent way to do things. You can do Hazard Level 3 if you're looking for more of a challenge. Without upgrades and perks, Hazard Level 4 is usually pretty tough challenge.

• You can call for the drop pod to pick you up as soon as you complete the primary objective, but the completing the secondary gives you a huge chunk of XP and Credits that you probably don't want to miss. Still, sometimes it's best to finish the mission instead of spending forever trying to hunt down the last bit of a secondary objective.

• Everyone in the party gets the same payout at the end. As long as one dwarf makes it back to the drop pod, everyone gets everything.

• Getting your first dwarf to Level 25 for the first time unlocks the Overclock system as well as Weekly Assignments and Deep Dives. Getting each dwarf to Level 25 at least once allows you to use any one of them during a Deep Dive.

• Feel free to ask any specific questions you have.

It’s difficult. The way I did it was to find a mine morkite mission with the least morkite you can find. Just zip around on scout get the morkite and leave.

The achievement isnt terribly hard solo. If you use bosco effectively to mine out the gems in point extraction, with a bit of luck & speed you can probably beat the mission before the 2nd swarm.

But it does definitely require you knowing what to do.

When moving the reticle over an enemy or interactable, the reticle slows down very slightly. The idea is to help keep your reticle on targets. There is no snapping to targets, though.

A while back my ps5 had died, had to get refurbished one from PlayStation themselves. Had to redownload drg since it was new and didn’t have any games on it. No drg save file from old PlayStation to be found. Tried downloading it from ps plus server but I think that made it worse.

There isn't anything like that. All saves are stored locally, and in each platform's cloud save feature. In this case, if your local console doesn't have your save file, and Sony doesn't have a recent save file, there isn't anything else that can be done.

GSG doesn't have access to your save files. There's nothing in place to facilitate this, and anything that would be put in place would take time and would cost money.

I do not use the fps counter, but if i had to guess i get around 60fps solid most time, 40-50 during heavy swarms and 15-30 during really intense times.

I just recently bought a ps5 4 months ago ish. It seems like the older your playstation is it is wayy more suspectible to fps problems 😦

I turn off FPS counter in any game i play for 99% of my playthrough, as it distracts from the game and frustrates me more than anything, even on my pc where i can play a game and see 240 fps its still distracting.

Fresh Greenbeard here. I like playing Gunner. Is there anything super important I should know before delving deep into this rock galactic? There looks like a lot of content to sift through, and I get an eerie feeling I've come to the game at the end of it all.

quick rundown ill give you

Deep Dives consist of 3 stages, with a primary objective and another Primary Secondary objective, so for example you can get a Collect 200 Morkite Primary and a Salvage 2 Mini Mule Secondary.

Unlike the regulars caves being randomly generated, Deep Dives are seeded weekly, meaning that for the week that deep dive is around it will be the same cave each time regardless of how many times you play.

For each stage of the Deep Dive you complete you earn a Matrix Core.
Stage 1 is blank and can be used on machine events
Stage 2 is a weapon overclock you can craft at the forge
Stage 3 is a cosemetic overclock you can likewise craft at the forge.

Regular Deep Dives are fair easy, the hazard scale goes (per stage) 3, 3.5, 3.5

Elites are more challenging, haz scale goes (correct me if im wrong), 4.5, 5, 5.5

It is late game content but do not be too intimidated by it.

Its not like you will spend hours doing hundreds of missions you do not want to do, the caves change once every week for Deep Dives, if you find a Deep Dive annoying you can simply ignore it.

though deep dives are very important for getting overclocks.

modding for console can still happen, but that requires a few things first.

It is true that the sole developer behind the modding system has left the company some time ago, and GSG has hired other people since. And now their office is at full capacity. They'll likely be able to recruit someone for that once they've moved to another office (which is scheduled to happen this summer).
And then, they'll need Sony to agree to it, which is likely the biggest hurdle.

Fair. It just makes me sad to always know that I will have an inferior experience then pc players, thankfully drg is a game that doesn't need it at all but I feel like it'd be nice to atleast get options to turn down graphic settings on console or mods that help the game run better and optimize it. The "preformance" and "fidelity" mode have no noticeable difference and even with "preformance" graphic mode, the game very commonly dips into the 20s. I joined a random drill dozer mission on hazard 3 with 4 players a minute ago and the entirety of the ommoran was 20-30fps, mostly sitting on the lower end

And knowing that bhopping will never truly be as viable on consoles, Wether it's because we don't have a scroll wheel to input it several times or because we can't have accessibility tools like the mod "hold jump for bhop" I really wanna push myself in the game but I just gotta sit there knowing I'll never really reach true potential

Or an option to enable something akin to the mineral merging mod to help with gold rush, and according to a lot of people, blood sugar even more so

Or the mod that helps indicate overheating, something like a tef build for draq that is just really hard to keep track of your heat as jumping makes the heat meter just go off screan.... It's so many QoF That would be so nice, even as an option

With the amount of cheaters in all games on PC and how easy cheating is becoming, I will much rather take console than PC, I feel like the positives outweigh the negatives

That said, I had to look up what the bunny hopping technique was, because I've never heard of it and I've been playing on PC since 2018. Which is to say I've never once felt like exploits like this are needed.
I appreciate that folks would like mods, but I've never really felt like DRG was lacking anything. I don't really know what mods are available; it's never occurred to me to look. And, as far as I'm aware, the mods that would be available for console would be limited by restrictions that Sony and Microsoft place on modding

And I don't say this to disparage anyone who uses the bunny hopping thing, or mods for that matter -- I appreciate breaking a game (or modding) as much as the next person -- I've just not yet felt inspired to exploit or mod DRG

bunny hopping is pretty much just "press jump again upon hitting the ground" and you can achieve it through normal base inputs

The performance problems on Playstation (especially 4) are definitely noticeable. I feel if Playstation should (and even if it could) get love it would be the performance first.

Like fr, the only thing I could ever ask from this version of the game is a 120fps mode lul

everything else is there, or is fine when you compromise and remember that this version of the game could have never existed.

And I do not necessarily reject mods on console, Mods just aren't really something important to me (or possibly many other console players)

It can be done

Personally I had to upload my save data to the cloud from the ps4 version, and then you download it from the ps5 version

You’ll lose some of your achievement progress though. Some I got back instantly, and some I had to redo entirely

This is just how I troubleshooted it 🤷‍♂️ I don’t know if it’s the best method or the go to or whatever but it was the way I figured it out

In-game stats should not get reset.

However, achievements (or trophies in this case) are not specifically a part of your save file, so they function a little differently to in-game stats. Achievements only trigger the check for completion when you complete the action required for the achievement. So, some achievements follow your in-game stats, such as completing 100 Solo Missions. After completing a Solo Mission, it checks if the total is over 99, and if so it awards the achievement. What this means is that if you've played 150 Solo Missions on PS4 and you move to PS5, the save file had recorded how many solo missions you've completed. When you complete one more solo mission for the first time on PS5, the game updates your count and since the count is now 151, which is over 99, it awards the achievement.

But since achievements only trigger the check when you complete the action leading to the achievement, other achievements, like kicking all the barrels into the drop pod, only actually check that you've completed the action when actually complete the action again.

Coming back to the game after a couple months now that season 5 is out. The ebonite event glitch where hardly any ebonites spawn is still happening....

I checked the bug reporter and someone posted the same thing a year ago. And they closed it because it couldn't be reproduced.

I haven't seen the ebonite event often, and it's happened most of the time dating back over a year ago. I'd say 3 out of the last 4 times I did it, spawns were not happening. It's just annoying. Thankfully it's not a big deal personally for me, as I'll just do the weekly core hunts to eventually get the new overlooks.

It's just concerning its been an issue for so long, kinda like how the hive guard invincibility bug happened for so long and people never believed it was a thing, but they finally patched it last year as enough people experienced and complained about it.

We both turn off friends only but while trying to load into one another’s lobby it turns the “only friends” option in the background, failing us to join in with one another. Just did a deep dive and for the last mission the ores on my screen weren’t synced with the host lmao

So the correct ores were regular rocks for me, and my ores weren’t dropping anything for me

I'm assuming this is due to a deepscan mission having a corestone and a lithophage outbreak but for some reason when I started the mission it was stuck at 3fps for the first 5 seconds and then once the drillevator came down my game was hard stuck at 38fps for the entire mission and would not go above that

If you haven't tried a game (especially an First person shooter) at 120fps you should definitely try it if you have the monitor and hardware. While it is definitely not required it is a very nice thing to have and makes basically most shooters feel better to play.

I agree 60fps us about all you need for DRG, but I came from PC playing at 240fps and it feels smooth like butter.

DRG feels responsive and the frames do not consistently go under 30fps. The game feels good to play and I feel like I am not at a disadvantage between my PC and Xbox counterparts. So I do still agree with you that it doesn't really matter.

Me personally I see no reason for DRG to not run at 120fps though when games like Doom Eternal, Neon White, Fortnite, etc can run mostly fine. But there is likely a reason why GSG hasn't done it that we simply do not know.

From playing with KB & Mouse for a while on PS4, I have found several issues.
2 big gameplay effecting issues:

if the controller disconnects DURING a mission, my flares no longer provide illumination. The Scout flare gun still works, but normal flares dim until the controller reconnects, even if I hit escape on the KB to disable the “Reconnect Controller” prompt.

For frozen and Plague stun effects, there is no way to “wiggle the left stick” and zero way to escape the effects without reaching for my controller.

Minor issues:

No keyboard prompts anywhere, still only shows controller button prompts, regardless of controller being connected.
a few actions don’t seem to be mapped for KB. Main one I can recall right now is pressing triangle to select a new class.

Unfortunately, that is the kb&m life on console. And i don't think is getting fixed any time soon, we are such a minority of people playing like that, I mean the issues are reported in the .gg bug report page by like 11 people lol...there are other problems like zipline riding reported since day one... nothing. At least we get the option to play with a mouse, so there's that. I advice you to set your controller timer to never disconnect and plug it to your TV or something else while playing.

The gyroscope and aim assist on drg make the need for m&k support not necessary on Ps.

but it is an option and if it is an option should be treated better

but if you really just hate playing on the sticks that much for aiming, just play pc or gyro.

if the steam version of drg had support for gyro outside of steam input I would main the steam version again.

who here plays drg with dualsense/dualshock and actually takes advantage of the gyro? It's literally as good if not better than a mouse for aiming and you do not give up the compact nature of a controller.

If you have PS Plus with automatic cloud backups enabled, you should have a cloud save.

Open the in-game Options menu, select Save Menu, then select Restore Save. It should provide you with a list of cloud saves you can restore, if any are available

Unfortunately, saves are only stored locally or in each platform's cloud. Whatever is there is probably your best bet, unless there is a way to recover the local save. I'm not terribly familiar with PlayStation consoles. Getting some progress back is better than none at all, but I understand if it's not enough; losing any save game can and has killed my enthusiasm for a game before. It takes the wind right out of your sails. I'm sorry this happened

If you get this issue again, try this if possible. If you've been using wifi, try to get on ethernet, and try to join the lobby. If you're on ethernet, switch to wifi, and try to join.

Yeah. There's been a lingering network issue for over a year now. Lost track of how long actually since it's gone on so long. Where people are unable to join games on Playstation. They weren't able to replicate the issue so everyone who had the issue, was stuck with no resolution. The only thing that seems to work for some people is if you can't join when using ethernet, you switch to wifi. And if you can't join on wifi, you switch to ethernet. Of course, the latter isn't as easy as the former. But yeah... If you've already restarted your router, and tried all different types of connections, and still can't join games... You're out of luck 😦

🤷🏿‍♂️ One of the QA guys mentioned they did their troubleshooting and just couldn't replicate the issue. A few of us had been explaining our issue. In the end, because they couldn't replicate it, they didn't know where to dig to fix the root issue. Unfortunate, but that's the reality.

And since then, my love for the game died a bit.

Any small tips for haz 5+ that aren't immediately obvious? Been getting far more consistent with everything but I'm not sure if I'm good enough to be able to enable player vulnerability and in turn go for max difficulty

Been doing all modifiers aside from player vuln, but I know fully well that the damage thresholds are unforgiving with player vuln

I've noticed something about max promotion players recently

They don't rock and stone much, if at all

And it doesn't make the most amount of sense, it feels like the rock and stone button practically ties the entire game together with how much of a morale boost it is to you and your fellow dwarves
