I've not used it myself, but yes, it appears as if it does nothing on its own, and you (or another teammate) must attack the enemies with the Neurotoxin Grenade and/or the Corrosive Sludge Pump for there to be any effect

There's no limit to the amount of enemies that can be caught in the AoE, as long as they're in it.

It can help to test things out to get a feel for things beyond what the description says. Haz 3 is kinda great for that; enough enemies to test on without being too hampered by finding out you don't like the build you're trying

No, not a penalty. At least not a personal penalty. Everyone gets the exact same XP, credits, and minerals as reward when the mission ends.
However, you will notice a Survival Bonus listed in the the credits tally and that is based on the number of dwarves that make it into the drop pod. The more dwarves, the bigger the bonus for everyone on the team (although it is still a relatively small bonus overall).

Haz 5 is pretty tough. Not too bad though once you know what you're doing, provided you have your weapons upgraded. Perks help too, and teamwork matters a whole lot more

I'll put it this way, I'm far from the best player and I don't bother with "the best/meta builds," but I can hold my own with any character by playing to the class' strengths and playing with teamwork in mind. Communication can help considerably, but isn't totally necessary for a group who knows what they're doing

If you're feeling confident about Haz 4, there's no reason not to give it a try

The bugs are noticeably faster so that you can't just run away from them, and certain ones can kill you in a couple of hits . Particularly at range (spitters). It's just demanding that you pay attention although some people like playing modded higher difficulty

Kind of like nightmare mode Doom where things that used to be safe (chainsawing pinkys) are now deadly because of fast monsters

I would normally just play on ultra violence/hazard 4 and chill

Just try it, you'll get the feel.

I know you're new but I think you're overthinking what folks expect of you. It's ok to just play around and figure things out in game. If you're really worried, do solo missions one hazard level below what you feel comfortable with in a team lobby. It's a great way to get a good feel for the game and more importantly, you understand a lot of builds better when you don't have teammates helping clean up.

You should always try and strive for a build that can carry on its own. Imagine your whole team is down and you have to clutch. Is your build only working bc there's others around? If so... You're gonna have a hard time clutching. Tho a player who understands the game and movement is usually a veteran player and they can get away with most any build. Test your builds in a vacuum. It'll also help you with your solo play for clutch moments in team play. It's easy to only play multi and become dependant on others.

You don't need to be a master of solo, but it's a good training ground and place to test builds. Just be ok with failing missions. Hell, you'll probably start aborting them when you feel you've got enough feel for a build you're testing.

I only say this bc I see you asking a lot of questions about builds instead of just trying them 😘

But you can't remap brosco controls, its fire rocket binding suck ass.

Thunderhead has a nice explosion AOE attack that lets you kill them

The gunner's third secondary weapon, armskore, is also Amazing at killing small enemies like that @silk loom

The revolver with magic bullets does the trick as well

Try the hellfire overclock for that weapon

It leaves behind a trail of plasma that sets enemies on fire. It's great for dealing with small and big enemies alike

I don't have many overclocks yet. But i didn't try to shoot them with the secondary.

I don't understand why the tactical leadbuster isn't good against them, you can see the bullet holes on the ground, walls and ceiling left behind from the device.

Or i didn't use it properly?

Edit: it does work against the shockers, you just have to make sure that the device gets activated right underneath the pack of shockers.

There are three stars per rank, then you move up to the next rank.
From lowest to highest:

• Bronze
• Silver
• Gold
• Platinum
• Diamond

Once you hit 3-star Legendary that's the max. You can still do further promotions at that point (to keep gaining blue Player Levels), but your promotion rank won't increase

Each new Promotion costs more than the previous. It gets to be rather pricy by the time you hit the highest ranks, but also it means you've played quite a bit and probably have some credits and minerals saved up

I know that, i was asking about the meaning of the terminology with "WORLD" under the distance tab. CLOSE, MEDIUM, FAR are self explanatory, but not WORLD, guess we are playing with poeple from a world apart lol. No prob. Your trophies will "reset" bc it's a different version of the game but most of them will come back thru a lil gameplay after you transfer your save.

Certain ones that are a specific action tho, you'll have to redo. Like the ride a harvester one or the barrel stuff

Fun fact, you don’t even have to beat OMEN or the other machine events to get the xp. You can just let the timer run out and still get the xp, granted you do lose out on the matrix core lol

No penalty. A machine event ending, either in success or failure, will give you the exact same bonus XP for the event. You must let it end though, simply starting it but leaving in the drop pod before it ends will not award the bonus XP 😁

The nice thing about not getting the updates at the same time as Steam is that bugs can be fixed before the update ever gets to us folks on the console versions. It's possible we'll never experience that because the fix for that can potentially be rolled right into the update we get

The update doesn't take 2 weeks to get to us because of having to go through Sony, (although that does add a little bit of time to how quickly we can get the updates).

The devs work on the Steam version first, because it's quickest to fix that version if anything does go wrong. Then, they can fix things and upload to Steam again to make sure it all works before they ever build the update that we wind up getting. The fixes get rolled in, and any platform-specific things get addressed, and then it gets submitted to Sony. It usually only takes a few hours (provided nothing goes wrong) to go through Sony's certification process and make it onto the servers for distribution

Yea honestly my go to if using the sniper without hipster. You need something to balance out the slower sniper gunplay and this is really your best pick for the job. No matter how you build it, the shotgun and bolt will always be somewhat limited on ammo, fire rate or both. So you can't lean on them during a swarm and obviously the mk1 without hipster isn't great for a swarm either

Gas recycling is a great general OC for pairing with the mk1. But if running hipster, something like cryo minelets can be a fun combo.

With dreads you can run scc mk1 with gas recycling zhukovs. Aka swarm clear secondary, big single target primary. Or you can run hipster mk1 and explosive reload zhuks. Aka swarm focused primary, single target focused secondary

There's a lotta other options as well but I'm no build God. Ask in #drg-chat btw as that's a better channel for getting general tips on the game and builds

Conversely, if you find yourself needing a resupply before the rest of the crew needs it, it's probably a good idea to take the extra ammo

So yes, 600 is the earliest it can be done. Most players don't optimize though, so it'll often be after 600

Prospector is the floating robot bus that just spawns enemies and flees away. Remember that you have a miners manual in game with all enemies you've encountered. It also tells you their weaknesses, resistances and weakspot

No. That likely means you've completed the seasonal rewards for plaguehearts.

If you go into the seasonal terminal and look above the battle pass, you'll see two rows of little hexagons.. these are the only rewards you get for plaguehearts. If you have all checkmarks, you're done with that

If the battle pass is also done then you're probably missing the last scrip from the daily challenges. One of them should always be "complete 2 litho missions for one scrip".

If you see that challenge but it's offering battle pass XP instead of scrip, you've also completed all the scrip rewards for daily challenges

If you never uploaded your save file from PS4 to cloud and it's deleted from the ps4, you have nothing to transfer to PS5. Hours played is not part of the save file, it's just PS tracking how long you've had the application open

If the save is still on PS4, you just need to upload it first

I often need 30min+ to find a lobby because of connection errors, is this a me problem or is it common and is there a solution? I play on ps5 version btw.

devs, the litophage meteorite spawn rate is way too high even after disabling s4 content. we had 2 in one 20 minute game and i have these CONSTANTLY

it's so tedious and annoying after 6 months

when can this game finally go back to it's regular state without getting interrupted by insufferable litophage gimmicks every 5 minutes.

It's actually just that it's not happening to everyone, and in fact seems to only be happening to a relatively few unfortunate folks. You can scroll up to see a discussion directly with a dev about the issue. They'd love nothing more than to fix it, but they can't recreate the issue so it's proving to be difficult to track down... kinda like finding a needle in a haystack. But not your own haystack; someone else's haystack a few fields over you can just kinda see with some binoculars

• silicate harvester
• Etc.

Yyeah I think I’ve had…3, random people use voice chat, in my 1000 hours of playing lmfao. And for real, Bosco’s utility and abilities are consistent 🙏

can't really depend on everyone else to play like that though, i'd rather a rough idea of what they are doing without having to look for them every 5 seconds with my pointer tool lol

I use voice chat but it's definitely not my default. More often than not, I'll come off mute to teach players but otherwise I'm just vibing and pinging

Also I think no one has highlighted: there's is a chat feature. You can use it with or without a keyboard (depending on how comfortable you feel with the on screen keyboard)

Aka voice chat is nice but really really not needed for the game.

If I'm using voice chat, it's bc I got tired of typing or just having to explain things that would really really long to type out

As you come across higher level players, you'll find that we don't really use voice unless we have to or just want to chat
