I don’t recall the specific reason. I believe it’s either because he’s using an unsupported font for his name or his username contains text which is blocked by steams profanity filter and you have it enabled.

also, might also be known, but the entire server browser seems to be pretty unresponsive, taking a few seconds to load and switch to the required screen if used before

as in, if you used it to look at all servers and then you press join on a mission, it will take it some time before the browser switches to only show servers with the mission

Those are two different lvls

The lvl11 one is for the performance pass, the other one is your actual player level

Twice this week my computer has completely cut power whilst playing DRG. It has never happened like this before and it happened suspiciously at the same time (on mission ending screen) whilst playing DRG. It was a kernel power loss event in windows. Is there some game log file I can look at to see if I can see what is happening? It may be unrelated to the game but it is really suspicious as, like I said, it has not happened before and happened twice this week in the exact same circumstances. Any help would be appreciated as obviously this is a pretty serious bug if it does happen to be game related.

I found a CrashReportLog.log file which would line up witht he time the crash happened. I am not sure if I can see anything in it though.

Unstoppable perk on Tier 2 has 20% faster carrying objects, Tier 3 has less - 15%, on the site it says it should be Tier 2 - 15%, Tier 3 - 20% so second part of the perk is swapped between tiers

I have a pretty interesting dilemma. My game crashes fairly often even thought my pc has well over the required capabilities to support it. If it crashes mid-mission and im not hosting, i’m usually able to reconnect relatively easily. The main issue stems from running solo missions, because my game runs perfectly until the second the drop pod is available and/or when i call it in. This is a huge drain because i cant reconnect and all of the work i put in is lost at pretty much the last possible moment. If anyone has any troubleshooting or info on a fix id be more than grateful.

on the Ps5, everyone plays without fixed roles. In the settings, you can prohibit duplication of lines, but when you re-enter the game, this parameter is reset, and players forget about it.Fix it urgently.

If you are having trouble joining up with and playing with friends on PC, make sure you do not have the app Gamefirst VI installed. This app was recently automatically installed with an Asus Armoury Crate update. For some reason the Gamefirst VI app causes the disconnection. I hope this helps

hey everyone I recently got DRG and was having awful internet connection to the game and I figured out the problem. I was trying to send this info to a mod so they could add it to the known issues board, but I had zero success. For anyone who was having the same issues and has Asus software on their PC and doesn't know what's wrong I highly recommend reading this:
Hello, I would like to inform you that I figured out why my DRG connection was being blocked. The Gamefirst software that is usually downloaded automatically on computers with asus motherboards will block the connection to some games despite having good/healthy internet connection. This software can either be removed from the computer without any consequences through add/or remove programs in windows, or if people want to keep it then they need to give DRG priority connection through the bloatware (application). I deleted the software outright and then my DRG connection immediately and tremendously improved. I am now able to play with friends and other random players without any issues whatsoever. I would recommend putting this information in the known issues channel incase there is anyone out there having the same issues I was having.

Question? Are the icons next to your health bar (active perks) meant to change when they are on cooldown?

So my friend is having FPS issues when we're playing DRG together. Through testing we found out that these issue come form bad Internet connection - he is connected by cable but his ISP has technical issues for around a month which lead to him having sudden FPS drops. We are wondering if there is a way to lower the amount of data sent by Network when we play together (I know that this may lead to desync but it's better than him playing the game in 3 FPS). So I hope for you guys to help me resolve this issue

I can’t change my fifth slot “gear modification” on my primary weapons in the “equipment” terminal. All other guests work just fine besides the last one. I have tried a multitude of things including reinstalling, signing in with another account, and then back in to my main. Only noticed it after one of the most recent updates on PS4. I logged into a fresh new account that even had to do the tutorial. I tried loading a previous save but all it showed was a save from today (11/01/2022), of a new account with lvl 1 in all its dwarves and even the accpunt itself.

Okay I found the bug I had with game loading

the game has no way to detect if the save is corrupt, and just does stupid things if it's corrupt, they really need to write a crc or something to the header to avoid something like this.

And ofc it uploaded a corrupt save to steam cloud so it broke my game on every computer I have lol.

Yeah, it took me a while to realise having any corrupt save in the saves directory ruined it. I had to delete them all, and turn off cloud saves. to get the game to load with no saves.

Hi just joined this server, I'm having an issue whenever I open up the options menu in game. Once I click the options tab, the game freezes for a couple seconds and then in game my game proceeds to stutter at a steady interval. Around a second I would say is how long in-between each stutter. I've tried changing the graphics settings to the lowest, but that didn't get rid of it. The only fix I found was to simply restart the game or start a mission which causes the stuttering to stop. While I can workaround it by doing this, I can't open the options if I wanted to adjust my settings mid-mission without having to deal with the stuttering again. I did find someone else who had this issue too when searching online but I didn't find an actual solution so I was just wondering if there was an actual fix present.

He sees his own assignment though but he doesn’t see ours

This game doesn't interface with it correctly. The option in the game doesn't turn on HDR. Or, rather, if you have HDR enabled in your settings, HDR is on in the game. SDR is disabled. If you then turn on HDR in-game, for some reason it doubles the HDR effect.

By default it should override the system settings.

The way Doom Eternal does it, if you have HDR in-game ON then it uses HDR. Otherwise, it tells the GPU to use SDR settings

More info on this, in-game HDR switch shouldn't be greyed out unless the display can't use HDR. If devs can't get the game talking to the display correctly to determine this, it can easily be put on the user. This is much more convenient that having to turn HDR in windows settings on and off, since the default for windows itself should generally be off and the default for DRG should generally be on.

I can only assume that DRG's HDR setting doesn't work at all, since Windows has to do all the work here.

So Ive been having a really odd freezing issue in the game for a while now. and no particular reason for it to be happening.

essentially at random. the game will freeze down to 1fps for about 5 seconds and then go back to 60fps right away, and everything that happened while its frozen wont register on my end. so if i was following a driller in a tunnel the tunnel they were drilling will simply not exist for me and ill have to dig my way through myself.

In the equipment terminal when we first unlock an overclock and put it in the slot, we can no longer edit our last mod slot (the fifth row). We can’t even see the details when we point it out. I tried searching if this has been reported without any luck, but I play on Steam with a PS5 controller, and it seems every time I do an escort mission, after picking up/using a Doretta fuel canister my dwarf can only walk as if I’m holding something heavy even after I drop it. I can’t sprint, I can’t even walk at normal dwarf pace, only the “holding a heavy object” pace. It resets when I get back to the ship but it’s been happening consistently for a week or two now.

Hello my fellow PS played dwarf here comes a bug that’s bugged me and my friends every time we log into the game and tryed invite each other or invite other friends they cannot chat connect to see lobby but we can connect to theirs we however have no idea how or what is happening we try checking are internet and it was green across the bored but still connect errors we believe their 2 possibilities this happened but it’s a long shot if their related we both payed duo with a firend in are own different lobby’s but he had terrible ping or connects and pay have messes something up that allows us to invite or we have concerned every time we load in 1 barrel is allready in the launch tube it has happed to both are lobby’s but not to any of are friends. I do apologize if this has been covered. I checked but may be overlooking it due to frustration. Is there a known fix for black screen on PS5? The game never gets to launch. It just black screens. You can hear audio, but after it black screens you can't navigate back to the menu or even cut the game off. ive been having a crash issue for industrial sabotage on base PS4, loaded in with my 3 friends, 3 of us had a massive frame drop once we landed, the one that didn't was on ps5, we barely got 2 minutes into the mission before i crashed out, nothing intense was happening and every time i tried to join back i crashed again

i couldn't see a way to actually report this other than go here

the closest issue i saw was somebody crashing due to 2 of the wave turrets but my friends cleared out all the enemies they could see to try get me back in

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a very specific bug with DRG and my Steam account.

I bought the game back in Sept 20th, 2021. On November 26th, 2021, the game unexpectedly started crashing on startup. After some initial conversations with @azure vigil, I wasn't able to solve the problem.

However, on January 10th, 2022 after many attempts to fix the problem, I found the root cause of the bug and a workaround for the issue. As it turns out, if I created a new steam account and allowed family view to my original account. I can "borrow" the game and play DRG without any issues; however, if I switched back to my main account on the same computer and tried starting up DRG, it crashes on startup.

I was wondering if there's a way to restore DRG on my steam account such that I don't have to always switch accounts in order to play the game with friends.

quick question, you lost your progress and had to go back to lvl 1 ? Or did you managed to transfer your progress from one account to another ?

with the switched account, I had to start over from level 1. It's not the end of the world to start over for me though since I hadn't gotten too far into the gameplay

make a back-up of your save on your main account. Then delete said save (just keep the back-up somewhere else). Uninstall the game and clear all remaining files, then reinstall the game WITHOUT the cloud save enabled

Been experiencing a bug with the escort missions. When you have to recharge the fuel cells, if you throw the cell before it's fully charged it locks your movement speed and disables sprint as if you're carrying a large object. Contacted developers about it, but I'm curious if anyone else has had this issue or has a fix?

maybe now you can bring up an older one from the cloud manually that won't be corrupted

you might lose some progress but better than nothing

We have discovered the cause of the unchangeable modification issue. It's caused by the Display Area settings on the PlayStation 4.

While we're working on a permanent solution, here's a workaround:

So, I know this is a reported bug already (at least I remember seeing posts about it when Season 1 dropped).

Had a Haz5 escort mission with 2 others today. Did Ebonite pickaxe event, did Prospector data deposit event, deposit data cube, pushed button. No drop pod appeared as a permanent waypoint, and management didn't announce that it was coming. Molly button couldn't be pushed anymore. But on the minimap you could see the droppod sitting up in the ceiling above the Ommoran room.

So we drilled up there, however, droppod was closed, there was no timer, and Molly wasn't coming (though the constant trickle of bugs did start after I'd pushed the button (I was host).

So engi left, then driller left, and THEN management announced droppod was on it's way. I was standing beside it (way up in the ceiling rock) and it dropped down to a normal spot and timer appeared and Molly went to it.

Earlier in the mission, driller was trying to TCF mine some minerals, but his TCF charged balls would just shoot out and then sit there being stuck, he couldn't explode them, and they made a weird sound for about 30 seconds or so before dissipating. After that driller left, the droppod worked. Maybe just a bizarre coincidence but thought it worth sharing, perhaps.

Not sure about this one, but patrol bots consistantly have a bug on my game. Whenever I get near them, especially if I'm hosting, they begin to jitter and rapidly teleports vertically at rapid speeds. This doesn't always happen if I'm not hosting and even if it does, it doesn't appear for others. Additionally, if a patrol bot is ever nearby, it always seems to cause my character to only jitter interact with things (eg. Downed allies, drop pod refills, hacksy button, picking up deployed explosives/proximity mines, etc.). Because the interaction prompt flickers, it releases and I lose any progress in any of that or fail to interact at all.

Also glyphid menaces sometimes flicker in and out of existence, but it's been happening less often. Tried locking onto one a few weeks back and caused my game to crash. Not sure if that's been fixed.

Has anyone else been having abysmal performance issues? I play on linux and it's worst for me, the game overheats my computer after just one or two missions. I can run games like Elder Scrolls fine at 300fps but for some reason DRG just nukes me. One of my friends, a windows lad, also has performance issues that randomly started after this most recent patch.

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I should mention, I've played this game since day 1. I've never had any performance issues at all until this most recent set of patches. I likely can't pinpoint exactly when it happened but I got through the first few weeks of Season 1 just fine. It just suddenly began performing poorly.

Not sure if this has been here a million times:

But if you shoot Gunner's zipline into the drop pod on extraction, when the pod closes and starts to pull you out and blocks all your movement and shooting inputs, you can still use the zipline and get outside the drop pod and this also gets you free from your input lockout.

This doesn't affect the gameplay at all, just get's "Huh" "Wha-?" comments from fellow miners. And since you were in the drop pod when the mission concluded, it still counts you as extracted in the final score screen.

1. Linux is not officially supported.
2. You need to be a lot more specific. Linux is just to kernel. It doesn't tell me anything like what specific kernel you're running, the version of proton you're using, if you're using dxvk or vkd3d and their respective version, what gpu you're using and its driver version, any specific proton or wine tweaks, etc.

uh, I didn't. it's a playstation only error that's on your ISP's end. if you have bad internet/router and or modem, you'll run into the issues. you can also do the "network connection test" on ps4 and check what nat type you have (I forget which of the 3 is the bad one)

literally had to pick up a $60 router and the same price modem to fix it

I personally never experienced it, same as probably the majority of people, while other people are unlucky. Turns out, even with the same system spec and the same installation, things can vary wildly, that's how obscure computer science is.

all we can do is collect as most data as possible to try to find the common ground

dx12 is usually not stable for every system, only for the recent ones. And sadly you can't use the dx11 version outside of the Steam version IIRC

gotcha, may have fixed it ill have to see. So anyone with an ASUS ROG motherboard, there is software it auto installs (must have missed this when reinstalling stuff) particularly GameFirst VI which manages internet packets to reduce lag. Get rid of it as it will give you this problem of endless connection lost 🤔
