I’m having like a 40% failure rate on scout flares actually working. I remember this all the way from alpha but it seems to be back or never truly fixed? My buddy on PC having exact same issue. Anyone else?

You shoot the flare and it sticks into the terrain and goes dim in about 2 seconds

You can tell immediately as soon as it leaves the gun. It’s noticeably less bright then one that does “work”

I'm not sure if this is so much a bug as it is me doing something stupid without realising, but at times I'll load the game up and I'll go right into the tutorial, skipping it and heading to the rig shows that I'm suddenly lvl 1 again for some reason. I do get an option to load a save, and that usually fixes the problem, but sometimes I'll lose a game or two's worth of progress and it's really annoying. Any idea why this happens and how I can prevent it?

well, that's strange. I've had it happen a few times ever, but it was almost always during a rain or sandstorm sort of trigger. do you have a method of reproducing it on your end?

No I mean it just happens all the time lol. Shoot the flare half the time it works as should half the time it’s dead in 3 seconds. Like I said I’m playing with my buddy and he mains scout and it’s happening to him as well. Sucks cause we’re blowing through flares shooting 2 just to get one to work when we shouldn’t have to.

Online on both Steam and Discord (make sure you're not invisible)
Make sure the discord server isn't muted (thx to Chindian for this one !)
You can try using the browser instead of the app (or the other way around)
You can also try having steam and discord running on administrator mode (thx to Marcos for this one !)

I encountered a bug where my weapons didn't work properly, could barely shoot and couldn't reload at all.

I was on a cave angel and then grabbed by a matera grabber, since the fail of the mission, my weapons didn't work properly.

wait this is probably the better channel to ask in, i'm having trouble loading in drg, and strangely enough it's the only game i struggle with loading on. my specs are fine as far as i'm aware, i'm wired into my router (albeit it's not a good router), and it's on an ssd. other games with higher requirements load much much faster, and i hate to make people wait 3 minutes of load time. is there some setting or something i'm missing to make the game load faster?

i should specify further, it's not loading into the game, it's specifically joining lobbies. i don't even see the load screen when booting up the game or joining a space rig lobby but once the drop pod drops it can take upwards of 5 minutes to load, on an average of 2-3 minutes

I dont know if this is intended or not, but using the embedded detonators overclock for Scout, causes a (possibly purely visual) detonation effect whenever you kill an enemy with a different weapon that hasnt been hit with the Zhukov.

Another unrelated glitch for driller: under unknown circumstances, whatever you have equipped may bug out and become unusable (cannot select another and unable to use/fire) until you interact with something. Possibly related to alt-tabbing or floating weapons. Appearance of holding the weapon also breaks. Interacting with something temporarily fixes it, but ultimately breaks it until you interact with it again. Weapon appearance is not fixed upon interacting (even if logic would suggest it would considering a separate animation occurs). Perhaps has something to do with Driller's Satchel charge, but maybe not.

I think if you use the detonating on reload mod and auto reload perk it may trigger the detonation if you switch gun and it reloads automaticaly after a few seconds may cause strange behaviour but its totally normal imo

Check windows event viewer, it should show an error with a program when it crashes the game. I have had this issue for a week now and haven’t found a fix.

Your error log for it may look something like what I posted earlier in this channel asking for help, or the program causing the error could be listed as MMDevApi.dll which is the issue I have and don’t know how to fix.

Hey All. I just bought a brand new Lenovo Legion gaming laptop and installed DRG via Steam. I got an error during install regarding Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 libraries so I worked around it by installing Microsoft Visual Studio C++ (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170) which allows the game to run but it's super glitchy;

there's a delay in firing weapons but no delays when getting hit by enemeies
Joining an underway mission has mixed success; sometimes it works and sometimes you're DOA and need to be immediately revived.
Flakiness with the graphics

With all that said, I have two questions.}

Is this a known issue?
Is there another way to workaround the issue?

I searched through JIRA a bit but it wasn't clear if some of the issues reported were specific to Windows 11.

One thing that I'm trying now is that I removed the 2015-2022 C++ redistributable (which may have been installed by default) and then let the unreal engine install the 2015-2019 version. That allowed the game to start so I'll take it for a test run now.

I was doing a solo Industrial Sabotage mission, and I noticed something weird: you can get Bosco to carry nodes, but if he places the last node (connecting your path to the power station), it won't connect if Bosco places it but picking it up and placing it yourself will connect

this isn’t a ‘bug’ but has anyone else had severe performance issues? I’ve had to turn down my settings almost completely to low or medium and I’m still getting tons of dropped frames. it’ll run at like 30fps for maybe 5 seconds before dropping to maybe around 2fps. I’ve got no idea what else to do, I can barely play it and I can’t count the number of times I’ve had to be revived because I dropped frames :(

Almost every time I open a terminal, it freezes. If I let it sit for 1-3 minutes it'll unfreeze, but this is really annoying. I stopped playing for now because it happened four times in a row.

I’m still encountering massive frame drops. It’s no longer as bad since I changed that ‘disable master EQ’ setting in audio, but it still gets to the point where the game is nearly unplayable. what’s worse is that it usually happens at really bad times, like swarms and events. almost all my graphics settings are turned to low, the only exceptions being shadows and post-processing (bc I don’t want the game to look terrible). AA is completely turned off. I have no idea how to fix this.

my pc is fairly high-end. it runs basically everything else with relative ease. I don’t know what else to try. someone please help.

I've noticed the same issue and just searched this and found that you seem to have near identical issues.

What happened for me is that I upgraded to a 1440p 144Hz monitor with G-Sync and ever since Shadowplay has been acting up exclusively in DRG. I had turned V-Sync off since I now had G-Sync, and apparently, that's not actually a good idea in DRG, somehow. I turned V-Sync back on out of sheer lack of other ideas and that appears to have fixed it.

Are you on a similar monitor with V-Sync off? Try turning it on in game and see if that helps with the Shadowplay issues. If you're even still having those issues after 10 weeks XD

Launched the game and for some reason I couldn't join any lobby. So I tried to disable mods and it worked - looks like I can now. But the main issue is that whenever I try to apply changes in modding tab my screen goes black, I can still move on the rig according to sounds and I can hit escape menu, but I never get into loading (initialising) screen so no mods can be enabled (tried to enable differently one, few and multiple mods). Tried disablemodding, deleting mod folder, checking integrity, reinstalling game, removing mod saves and trying different save files... Haven't found solution yet. Can't disband team, can't reinitialise the lobby, when save's restored lobby doesn't get fully updated either. Does anyone know what's actually wrong there? Do I need to reinstall Windows or smth?

I have no idea what else to do, I’ve tried everything I can think of but I’m STILL getting massive drops in fps and it renders the game almost completely unplayable.
Sometimes it’ll freeze for several seconds which is basically a death sentence on higher difficulties. I end up having to just stand there and do nothing while my team does all the work, because my frames drop to less than one fps. Almost all my graphics settings are turned to low, the only exceptions being shadows and post-processing.
Please, I have no idea what else to do. Someone please help me figure out what’s going wrong.

Just updated drivers again, tho it's never worked before. Crash was the standard "unhandled exception" one I always get, although now it's gotten so bad that leaving the game idle on the space rig I risk coming back to a crash, before it was only mid mission

#

Note: my issue stopped for a while back before Christmas and I had very few crashes, I even managed to finish a few deep dives

Is there anyways to fix the fact that DRG doesn't save the settings you set and instead defualts it to the highest settings? I have a decent-ish below average pc and it can not run the game on ultra and sometimes the computer resets itself when starting the game. I wish they'd just have your settings saved in your files instead of defaulting to the highest settings. But how can I fix this?

Anyone have any issues with push to talk voice chat not working? if I disable and keep an open mic then sound is picked up but as soon as I enable push to talk my mic no longer picks up any sound no matter which keybind I pick and hold. Running Windows 10 and Realtek HD audio manager, tried messing around with default setting but nothing seems to change, as far as I can tell its only an issue with push to talk and not voice chat itself.

It feels really really weird, as if the sensitivities aren't matching even though they are both at 100%. Depending on the mapping of yaw or roll, either the horizontal is way faster than the vertical or vice versa; they can't be the same sensitivity and it feels really weird trying to use it to aim properly

I've found something interesting- A few people, and I'm one of thsoe people, seem to get a bug, especially on massive equipment missions like the drilldozer or mining platform, get a bug where the collision starts failing on those objects, as well as enemies- you can't step on the platform to deposit, you just walk through it into the ground, and you can't attack enemies, your bullets and pick swing right through. It's not a latency thing, because it happens in solo as well...

But I managed to fix it by toggling my graphics down, temporarily. Is the game just struggling so much on some computers that it decides that collision is optional? lmao

Issue is with playing with friends who are running mods. This was working absolutely fine, until I signed up for a mod.io account, now try what I might I get this error

Following advice online, I have

1 - Removed mod.io folder completely - same
2 - Removed mod.io folder, uninstalled, reinstalled game - same
3 - Disconnected steam account from mod.io, made sure all logged out, same
4 - 2, and 3, all at the same time!
5 - Delete Mod.io account, re-sign up, reconnect everything

No joy at all, I cannot connect to a modded game. When mod.io is connected to my steam account, it also will not pull down any mods I subscribe to.

Any ideas?"

Computers shutting down is a result of overheat protection or a fault in the power system. The current generation of consoles are budget computers.

I am pretty sure that I will forget about it once I wake up, so maybe someone else can check and see if the bug is repeatable.
Today, between 12-3AM (GMT+3) I have twice encountered a bug in escort mission in Glacial map. The issue was that the engine barrel (the one you put oil) does not exist. The issue becomes apparent after the first stop, when you need to refill the dozer. H3 (only?)
The barrel has a marker tied to a location, but there is no barrel. The first time it appeared near the dozer, but it was not there: we digged a wide area around marker, but found nothing, everyone saw the marker at the same place.
I re-created the mission, and it was fine. I have played for a couple of more hours, and after failing the same mission on H4, my group tried H3. The issue was the same: the barrel was not in the dozer, but the marker was actually at the spot where we land in the pod. We digged a wide area around it, and the barrel/canister was not there. The interface shoed that one of the players was holding the barrel (scout), but he did not. He also relogged into the game, the barrel did not appear. We were forced to abandon the mission and call it a night: I just wanted to throw it out to anyone willing to check if the bug is repeatable.

Finished up the mission where you have to get a single egg and some materials (I don’t remember what exactly it was like my second mission ever), we finished it and I got back to where the pod landed, and my teammates where way back I think collecting extra materials, and I ordered moly to me (who was at my teammates) and I was going to press the button to call the pod but it wasn’t there anymore, we had finished the objectives a while before and ended up just fighting random enemies for a solid 10-20m
I think what might have happened is that someone pressed the button while I called molly which could’ve maybe broken it? Other than that I can’t really think of anything except leaving the button for like 3-4m, playing on PS5 if that helps

Me and my friend are having to delete ini files EVERY TIME before we play. Otherwise; my game lags and it takes me 10 minutes to move the mouse from one side of the screen to the other. And my friend's game crashes constantly. After deleting ini files, our games run perfectly. We played the free weekend once upon a time... so I imagine this might be some sorta anti piracy thing. We just bought the game a few days asgo.

Yes I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Problem persists. I should note that the game worked perfectly during Free Weekend back in early 2021. Never had to delete ini files. It's only after purchasing it recently that we ran into these issues.

To further strengthen the fact that it might be some sort of anti piracy thing... we have a third friend who never played free weekend. His game runs perfectly. No lagging, no crashing, no deleting the ini files.

You can try using the browser instead of the app (or the other way around)

Deep Rock froze on me three times today already, I added them to an already existing bug report I filed. On top of that, the game somehow moved itself into windowed mode and kept clipping in and out of fullscreen, triggering the taskbar and constantly desyncing my mouse movement.

Try deleting ENGINE.ini and GameUserSettings.ini. It's only a temporary fix though. I'm hoping for a long term fix soon.

I posted this in #playstation as well, but I guess I'll post this here though it's probably not technically a "bug".

To add on to power cycling my router and modem working for me and a person on my network (not that anyone seeing this was here from earlier): Doing that doesn't let a friend outside of my network join and both of us power cycling doesn't work either. Also, since I've been getting the "Multiplayer Session Ended", I have not connected to a single random despite all my games being public. There has to be some kind of disagreement between the game and something about my Internet. For clarity, this doesn't happen to any other game that I know of (I play quite a few) and I don't have any kind of special network setup.

'Multiplayer Session Ended' comes up any time your session closes, be it solo, private, or public. Not sure what issues you're having, could you clarify?

Bit of a long shot, but make sure your steam status is set to "Online". I'm assuming the issue you're having is that nobody can join your session?

So many fail to joins since the last update. It can take 20 attempts to join a public game as the server refuses to connect. My direct internet connection is not the issue.

Are you using task manager to judge that? What graphics settings are you running? I can only thing to max out graphics, make sure you’re running on DX12, and maybe run at a higher CPU affinity—though if the game isn’t told how to do this, it won’t. Most games are locked to the first or first two CPU cores for the most part. What issues are you having?

I'm running DX12, but both my CPU and GPU utilization reported by RTSS won't go past ~60%.

I'm running a 3700X with a 3080. Frametime isn't really a problem. It just seem odd that the game isn't trying to max out the hardware like other games.

Not sure this is a bug but I can't seem to get my audio working with my Chord Mojo, whenever I have it set as my default device and turned on I get the audio from the intro cutscenes but not in-game, I tried checking the output device but it is locked to a setting of [Hazard Level]. Pressing ESC is usually is when I encounter bugs.

Another one associated with ESC is it disabled my A and D keys. I could only walk forward until the game reloaded.

im having a problem. when ever i load the game its fine but when i interact with any terminal it makes my screen go black for 5-10s then comes back up . If i go into a mission my screen goes permanently black but it doesnt crash me i can still hear sounds

Hi everyone! Just joined the discord, haven't had time to read the rules yet but will very shortly, the reason being I'm currently experiencing a bug and wanted to post it somewhere so I can discuss it with you first.

My game keeps crashing in EDD phase 3 or sometimes when i'm on a map with rich atmosphere. Now this time I crashed right after arriving on phase 3 map of EDD and when I rebooted the game I was able to join the game back. However I respawned falling in the void and appeared back at spawn point stuck like this unable to do anything. Also my teamates can't see me. Here's a picture of the situation If I can post it Edit : I can't 🤣

Hi, i have a bug with my brother. We have 2 PS4 at the same internet and I buy the game with the free game on PSN subscribe. Well this was a situation where after a small patch on the Steam version, the game would crash every time I tried to load the Season Terminal (occured when loading the game with any DirectX option), and exiting certain other terminals (when loading the game without specifying DirectX 11 or 12) would also cause my trajectory to be thrown in a different direction about one second after leaving the terminal. I wound up looking at the game Properties in Steam and followed Local Files > "Verify integrity of game files..." This appears to have fixed both problems.

hi. I love the game - the combat, the humour, the polish. I can clearly see its a labour of love. One suggestion though: in my experience the most frustrating thing, by far, is when i try to join a team and the moment i click on it your list refreshes and i join the wrong one. This happens all the time. For the love of god, please change this somehow 🙂 thanks!

if you try to join a game an it fails, it will create a popup that lets you hit 'cancel'

if you hit 'cancel', it reloads the game and puts you back in the dorm room, sooo annoying

i think i found a bug:

when doing the event for the glowy yellow rocks when killing enemies: we were at the last one and to shock my friends i held it in my hand for some time, letting the time run out a bit more.

after a while i handed it in. it didnt count (my guess is the despawn timer had passed) and adding to that for the last 30 seconds no more new bugs with stones were spawning.

it had nothing to do with the level design, it was a simple cave and no chance it spawned where ever, at least no that we could judge.

Also make sure you clicked on all those in the pass to reclaim them. It's possible you might have forgotten some of those, always worth checking.

Just downloaded the latest patch and I'm still having issues regarding UI responsiveness; Namely, it seems that equipping an overclock locks me out of tweaking my T5 weapon upgrades - happened to both my M1000 classic and the Drak. Whenever I'm in a multi-player match, I finish the mission with no problems but when it comes to the Stat screen when we all walk out I get another screen just like that but the game goes unresponsive I have to force close the process in task manager each time. No idea what's causing it

Had a 3 Dreadnaught mission yesterday, but one of them just didn't attack or even get out of his shiled phase at all...is there something you can do? Ultimately we had to abandon the mission.

It was DX12!! DX12 with DRG for some reason will kill every other programs that uses the GPU. I disabled DX12 in DRG and my low fps/lagging in firefox/youtube/warframe etc went away.

this is with DX12 turned off, im getting 100+ fps in both games. Turning on DX12 will keep the same fps in DRG, but makes WF's fps go down to <30 fps

and desktop windows manager is back at a reasonable level

after the screen that says "press a buton to whatever" and then it shows the space loading screen before getting to the HUB, I see initializing in the corner, then after about 1sec the screen dims like it's about to load into the hub and crashes, no message no nothing

#

disabled my anti virus program, started it without discord open yet, disabled nvidia experience, disabled logitech hub, disabled corsair ICUE, can't pinpoint it

#

verified game files, drivers up to date

#

only thing I haven't tried is launching in DX 11
