🔹 #writing is where you should post longer texts (300+ words) to get feedback. (Supported formats: Google Docs link, plain text, .txt file.)
🔹 #corrections is used for any discussions, comments or corrections related to things posted in #writing, since #writing should only be used to post actual texts - do not post your texts in #corrections. (Note: correcting/commenting directly in Google Docs is usually preferred.)
🔹 #pronunciation is where you can post audio recordings of yourself speaking German to get feedback.
How to use #writing and #corrections
Please feel free to post your German texts in #writing to be corrected by a member of our helpful community. You’re free to post pretty much any kind of text – be it a story, a diary entry, a nonfiction essay, a resume for your next job, or even just a few random sentences – as long as it’s in line with our #rules. Please remember to remove any personal information in your texts.
The supported formats are: Google Docs links, .txt file, and plain text. Using Google Docs is preferred as it makes the job of the correctors a lot easier. If you post your text directly into #writing, the bot will automatically generate a Google Doc for you.
How to use #pronunciation
Feel free to post an audio clip of yourself speaking German and someone will comment/correct your pronunciation.
If you are unsure what to talk about in the recording, feel free to read aloud from a German text. It is usually preferred that you include the text along with the audio, as the audio is sometimes difficult to correct by itself.
Preferred audio formats: .mp3, .wav, .ogg (or you can use a trusted online audio service like Vocaroo).
