There are some nouns (all masculine except for das Herz) that get an added n in accusative, dative and Genitive, theyre called weak masculine nouns. There are some exceptions with herz and a few others (in genetive case) but thats the gist of it

I'm working under the assumption that the exam is in person, or if they're doing it online that not much has changed.

Essentially you're given exercises and a partner that you can't pick yourself. You have some time to prepare, and then you're supposed to talk about the things with them. If you haven't already seen a sample test, our resource list (>faq resources) has one for each level.

In theory, your partner doesn't affect your grade. If you're unlucky enough to get a partner who doesn't say anything, you can pretend that they're talking and still make conversation to them, that's the "official" guideline. Of course it's much worse when your partner is conversationally weak because it ultimately makes it harder for you to talk, but ultimately you're only judged based on what you end up saying. So make that count, but also try to assess how good your partner is, and use the prep time to figure out what you're gonna be saying. It might be a dialogue, describing a picture, a trip, whatever, you should have a rough idea of how it'll go before you're called into the exam room. It's definitely in your interest to help your partner out a bit during the prep phase if they seem to be struggling.

As for yourself, check out this grading sheet to know what you'll be graded on. https://www.osd.at/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/zb2_auswertungsbogen_sprechen.pdf Essentially it boils down to how confidently you can speak, if your vocabulary seems big enough, if you're doing well with grammar, not repeating the same phrase over and over again etc., but definitely do read the full thing so you know what's expected.

If you're studying with books, definitely look through phrases that you can use in a conversation for expressing your opinion, agreeing or disagreeing with your partner, and brush up on vocabulary. You should be confident with sentences consisting of multiple clauses at this point and it's a huge plus if you end up using them. And that's all. If you can speak confidently and somewhat fluently, you should definitely be able to (at the very least) pass.
