The nazi flag wasn't created to be offensive either, but it certainly is. Intent with the creation doesn't necessarily have anything to do with its actual current offensiveness. Same with the confederate flag. I dont have an opinion regarding whether the japanese battle flag is offensive, I'm just responding to that specific argument.

yeah apologies, I just realized I modified my argument to address the japanese flag rather than the original argument. I still hold that creative intent doesnt necessarily decide current offensiveness, but in this particular instance you are correct.

CEFR levels

If you see something like A1, B2 or C1, these represent the proficiency of a speaker in a language they're not native in, and are called CEFR levels. They are valid for any language, not only German!

Mice seems to be the more used term in this case. Mouses just sounds wrong to many of us. It might be correct to use mouses, but it's simply better to say mice.
