From the player side? I don’t believe so unfortunately. It’s something that the devs would have to add/remove to the filter. You can however block players so you don’t see their messages in chat, and report them using the in game report function.

hey hoping someone can help me figure out a voice chat issue. I havent been able to hear or use voice chat in game for almost a week, Ive tried verifying game files, deleting steam cache, reinstalling entirely and nothing seems to be working. I've noticed that I get a message that says "Voice Chat is Disabled" before the game says it joins the vc channels, not sure if thats normal or not. I also get a error [5] 5 when i try using the reconnect to voice chat button in options. anyone have any ideas?

Give it a shot to run it without sound mods, I am fairly certain there are some sounds that are “protected” and editing them will cause a crash (source: I’ve tried making some before and it caused similar crashes)

That error code is pointing to a price of your computers RAM, you won’t really be able to tell what that actually is unfortunately. However, Brett does tell people to send crash reports to him, including the actual file from the crash. The details on how to report a crash can be found in the pinned message in #bug-reports .

Its tuesday, steam maintenance is in effect every tuesday. Usually it gets fixed within 5-10min. Just keep trying to reconnect, and if you were transiting regions, try to spawn at any spawn in the target region you were going to. Your body should have crossed and still be there, even though you technically select a TH or relic to spawn to, it will put you right into the body if its still there

Make sure you’re tabbed to speak in the right channel. The channel you are looking at and the one you send the message in can be different. You can tell what channel you’re about to type in with a box right of the writing portion of the chat box.

It may be your squad size, as too large a squad causes lag. This was made better in the last update, but still can cause issues. The fix is to make your own private squad, set your large squad as your main squad, then look at your small squad in the menu.

how is your internet speed usually? Is steam online?

Try this:

To enable a port range in advance
Click Advanced settings in the left column of the Windows Firewall window.
Click Inbound Rules in the left column.
Click New Rules in the right column.
Select Port and click next.
Select TCP and enter 443 in the Specific local ports field.
Click Next.

That last one will need a reboot and is... aggressive. Will reset pretty much your entire network a more subtle fix for server connection issues can simply be flushing your HTTP.sys which has worked for me on a couple of game servers, though mostly ones that use port 80.

Anyone else found that the game has become unplayable over the past 2 days? Got the game for the first time earlier this week and put like 10 hours in, it ran fine. Tried playing the past two days and it is just a lag fest: audio effects play fine so I can hear guns, movement and building fine but visuals and response to my inputs is horrific. Hello, I have two questions for anyone who could help me.
Firstly what proton version is recommended for running Foxhole on Linux? I've had my best luck with 5.13 however that was before I updated my drivers as well as kernel.

Secondly how would I force Foxhole to run on my dedicated GPU? __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia %command% works in all other games I have played but it seems for Foxhole it causes the binaries to run on the dedicated GPU while the game itself runs on the integrated gpu. For some reason the game originally ran on my dedicated GPU without the above launch options but after updating my drivers this is no longer the case. (command still works for other games)

Hello. I'm trying to figure out why foxhole is not running very well on my (below average) pc. It's not a very good PC, that's a given, but it has enough tweaks made by me so that it's at least able to play some decently heavy stuff without much problem. When I saw Foxhole's requirements I thought I would've been able to run it without much problem but the FPS counter was pretty low, in the 1-9 range, and it didn't get any better when I lowered the graphics settings.

I find this odd because seeing how my PC is just about a bit over the minimal system requirements I figured I'd be able to at least run in the 30-20 FPS range. Does anybody know about why that may be? or is the store page just not updated to the game's current system demands?

Btw, I'm pretty new to all this, sorry if I did anything wrong

Edit: I saw some steam discussion pages about low or inconsistent fps and that may indicate there's something wrong that's giving me a low fps. Some people who are posting there have lower system stats than me but are able to run the game in the 20-25 range while I'm barely scraping over 8. Too anyone who has similar problems with linux I did the following to fix my problems:
Install latest GE-proton (7-24) and use that to run foxhole
I also set my launch options to the following and Foxhole now uses the proper GPU: env PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 env __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia env __VK_LAYER_NV_optimus=NVIDIA_only %command%

Hey Devs, Howl County is currently unplayable with the amount of server lag, vehicles and players are rubberbanding all over the place. Building is impossible with the server eating Bmats but not repairing/ building the blueprint we are trying to build, and with all the players rubberbanding back and forth we can't even shoot at them without either them rubberbanding away or watching our bullets phase through them. I also have a voicechat issue, here's my story

I installed a new CPU on my computer recently, and since then, Foxhole voice chat has been completely broken for me. No input, no output. Voice chat works perfectly fine for me in other steam games and on Discord, it looks like a Foxhole-specific problem. I can hear sound FX perfectly fine, just not voice chat

Things I have tried to fix it:

-Toggling "U" in game
-Double checking that the input and output devices are correct, unplugging all other devices
-Pressing "reconnect" in VC options - this usually goes through without an error message and tells me that I have successfully joined the voice channel. Sometimes I get "Error [8]-6", but 75% of the time reconnecting does not produce an error message
-Uninstalling/reinstalling the game
-Deleting specifically the Vivox folder in the game files
-Updating chipset for my new CPU
-Updating graphics and audio drivers
-The DNS fix suggested in the read-first channel
-Restarting my computer 😛

The CPU change was from Ryzen 2600X to Ryzen 3600, which shouldn't be too much of a change

I'm not 100% sure the voice chat problems are a result of CPU change, though - could be a coincidence. I have hundreds of hours in Foxhole and have never had a VC issue before

I've found a partial fix for my problem! It looks like the VC output isn't willing to go through the same speaker as the rest of game sounds. When I set output to a different speaker, I can hear VC out of that speaker AND my microphone starts working

This isn't a perfect solution, though, because I have to be listening to two separate speakers now (my headset and my monitor speaker). Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

I've been waiting for an hour and a half. Every time I squeeze my way down the queue, be it from home region or border, and get into the region, the game says "region full" and kicks me out.

Try resetting the keys to default, this will fix the issue. This bug occurs when you assign the same key to two things at the same time.

If that doesn't work you can manually delete the "input" file in the game files. I think it's in User/AppData/Local/Foxhole/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor or something

Okay, I found a solution to the phantom weapon lock bug

You can either rebind fire to another button or restore keybindings to default and that seems to do the trick
