Tracking problem:
When using the Quest 2 in desktop mode, both AirLink or Virtual Desktop, if I let go of my controllers buttons, they will stop tracking on my avatar. Overlays will persist to track properly. The hands will stay down by my side until I either tap a button or the capacitive buttons. This issue only happens like once a week, so idk what causes it. It usually goes away after a few moments but I am unsure what makes it stop.

This issue with my vrchat is getting out of hand, it feels like I have a limit to how much I can play now, I can get on like 1 or 2 times a day now, but after the second time it has a weird loading glitch where 1 it’s slow and 2 when it loads im stuck on the teal loading screen

It's the preferred way. Better frames means you won't get sick as easily. But if you do feel queasy at first, get a fan running. Helped me out

The controllers take AA's. And the power lasts a little over 2 hours. It can be expanded upon with a power pack if you really want. That's what I used to do before I got a decent pc

Ok, in vrchat for quest I recommend tweaking you safety settings. Don’t have everyone’s avatar turned on, especially if they are high-poly.

That’s just quest, it’s great, but you have to make a few adjustments more than pc to have a good experience

if restarting doesn't work though, then the world author may have simply made the world too heavy for the quest 1 to load in

sometimes it takes a few tries

memory refers to well, memory, which is a separate thing from storage. when you load a world, it has to be loaded into memory from storage for your quest (or any computing device really, phone, pc etc) to load it. Unfortunately, the quest 1 does have less memory than the quest 2.

Are any other quest users completely screwed by this new update? Ever since the update, everything takes an obscene length of time to load. Loading in initially, it takes many minutes for my avatar to load in. Joining public worlds, no one loads in for even longer, and sometimes the game gives up and crashes. I even wait several minutes for an avatar to begin changing after selecting the option to, and then longer for the new avatar to load

I dunno if this issue is unique to me or not.

ive heard another instance of it but you should be able to troubleshoot with VRChat support and if that fails can be reported as a bug #vrchat-support (has the link to the ticketing system to email support)

make sure to provide all revelant information and info that could help them understand what the problem may be and what you have done to solve it so it goes as quick it can

also please use proper grammar and punctuation

but id have you try reinstalling the game and factory resetting the quest before contacting support

and if that doesnt fix it then you can email them about it and tell them you have tried those 2 things

I have disconnected, forgot and restarted my wifi
I have uninstalled and reinstalled
Cleared my caches
Waited the span of 3 days to see if it fixes itself
Logged out and back in
restarted my quest (obviously)

mans really came in and pinged someone then deleted it. That was not me.

factory resetting fixes most of my quest problems

but i fear it might be that your wifi connection routing or whatever is just sucky now for some reason

which is something I think youd take up with your ISP

My friend is having a problem where booting up vrchat or clicking any type of option in a menu crashes the game. Hes on quest 2 and we've tried resetting the quest, shutting on and off the quest, re installing the game, trying different accounts, changing the wifi, factory resetting the quest and making sure theres enough storage (90 gigs). Other apps load properly so it's just a problem with vrchat. Any ideas on why this is happening and how we can fix it?

Yeah well the hand tracking is surprisingly good but the trouble is vrchat can only handle quest or index, so pcvr (specifically alvr) is emulating index controllers and thats the bit that sucks.

Yes its possible to make the controllers. Google “LucidGloves”, there is a bit of a community doing that.

hi so my vrchat will log me in and everything but right before you load into the world, it takes you to that little green room w the particles. yeah, its just stuck there. it didn't do this before the update.

I'm completely new to VR and saw that the quest 2 has a lot of issues in VRchat due to the standalone hardware.
does using a link cable fix these issues? Not sure if the link cable completely takes over or if it just assists the hardware in the headset. Dont want to buy if i'll experience issues regardless.

Takes me around a minute to load in but everytime someone joins the world freezes for a few seconds
