Quest 3 in any event is better than quest 2 just usually not the controllers, my battery slot is way to small for the rechargeable batteries and normal batteries so my controller constantly just disconnects and reconnects if i move it too swiftly

comfort, i found i had more intense headaches while playing due to the uncomfortable strap, portability is hella annoying also, i find the visuals don’t give me what i want (that’s personal preference) and the cost is just insane and the dirtiness on my glasses due to the fact that the compatibility for glasses was only designed for people who have near perfect eyesight not requiring bigger lenses or glasses in general

you should never wear contacts with VR. i wasn’t gonna risk damaging my eyes more to play on a generally bad headset

The Quest 3S and Quest 2 are practically the same headset, the difference being the 3S having a way better chip and it will actually be supported for more than another year. I personally would not go for a Quest 2 nowadays unless I wanted a VR headset for cheap second hand.

I know this is a late reply but if this is still happening to you, you can either restart your headset (unless you already tried that) or you can log into vrchat on a computer and change your avatar and then try playing vrchat on your quest

No problem, it’s a good question. This happens sometimes on both Quest and PCVR. Try restarting your headset and the game. Also make sure you and your friends have the same version of VRChat. If it still does not work, it might just be a small server issue.

Check your sound settings in SteamVR and Windows, make sure the headset is set as the default audio device. Also try restarting SteamVR after plugging in the headset. That usually works it for me.

Does anyone else have a quest 2 that’s battery drains quickly?

I figured it’s bc of the amount of games or I left tabs open but the only thing that’s running would be vrchat when I was on it. I only have three games and don’t really understand why it drains. I even have the battery pack and it’s like it eats that up to.

The batteries tend to deteriorate over time especially if not taken care of.

For example charging over 80% and letting it go under 20% or playing with it while it’s plugged in can affect battery life.

- 1. Open their profile like you are going to friend them. Ensure you have "avatar shown".

- 2. Select the upper right hand corner square. Shows the bigger profile for more settings and options.

- 3. Scroll down to "Avatar Details" and select.

- 4. The avatar model on the right will load and so will your friend. :>

Quest Pro is discontinued by Meta and their update support isn't great, you generally never want to update early, the passthrough is waaay worse than Q3 and you have to swap out the head and forehead cusions. But you get eye tracking, face tracking and fancier displays (a half way between LCD and OLED).

Quest 3 has vastly better passthrough, better hand tracking, is still supported and you can swap headstraps for whatever you want.

If you want Quest Pro controllers then they work on the Quest 3 too.

Personally I would get the Q3 at this point, spending that much more on a Quest Pro doesn't make sense when it seems new face tracking, running HorizonOS, are coming out next year for probably a similar price point.

also not sure if quests keep log files but dont uninstall your game if your worried about not knowing your accounts info or what its hooked up to just in case, vrchat support can generally help you with account issues if you have a way to prove its your account and those files show that you're were logged into said account as a partial way to verify (atleast thats what they asked of me for some older account restoration)

yeah its a pretty common bug, ive been having it since HzOS v76.1027 (so nearly a month now)
im not entirely sure whats causing it, I have backups and such turned off so its not doing that. it usually takes a few minutes, sometimes its faster sometimes its slower but it does turn off for me but ive seen some people whos quests just stay like that until the battery dies which isnt good

It is all about RAM and the Quest 2 has very little of it

Since you are doing PCVR, try desktop with selfie expressions on if you have VRC+. Not as immersive, but very interactable.

make sure you're plugging it in through a 3.0 slot and try to update your oculus drivers to fix the 2nd issue ( (the drive you downloaded the app to)/Oculus/Support/oculus-drivers and then hit the driver.exe, it might take one or two tries for it to actually fix the error cause the app gets buggy but it should eventually fix it

if you've got a strong Wi-fi you could just use steamlink to avoid all the bugs and bloat the oculus app causes
