try one of two things. first do a reset of the controllers, which is holding down the oculus button and the menu button on each controller until they vibrate and turn off.

if that doesnt work, unpair them from the app, and repair.

be careful clicking "show" other players' avatars. vrchat hides laggy [Poor and Very Poor Performance] avatars automatically, and showing them anyways could lower the FPS and make you sick. if an avatar is hidden because of its performancce, an icon will appear on their nameplate that says "Fallback" or "Impostor" and they will be a default avatar or pixelated version of their avatar

you may wanna consider Virtual Desktop because it can give you pretty convincing full body [not on quest 2] and turn your hands into Valve Index controllers. however, steam link will work perfectly fine if you dont need them

In general I have what's call stitch drift on my oculus quest 2 left controller how do I fix it?

Is there a mod or something that someone can use to enter worlds and not be seen by others (other than one person they choose to see them)? My friends and I were in a friends+ world and this dude popped up that only one friend could see that the others couldn’t. They said they didn’t have them added and they just stood there a robot avi and then just left after a bit.

None that I know of. Unless they had a friend who was in that instance, and their friend locations haven't updated. This has happened to me in the past. But I now would get a white square, instead of the world image when that happens, and been in vrchat a long time.

On Quest you can't show everyone's avatar automatically, because almost all are very poor avatars (optimization wise).

Poor and above can be shown automatically, but by default it is medium and above, it is a setting you can change, "minimum rank shown" or something.

You could input the heart rate with the osc stuff but you'd need a program of some sorts to connect to your headset and some part of your avatar that takes the input

The best recommendation I can ever offer to anyone who has a settings issue on quest is to just uninstall the game, and reinstall it. You won't lose anything, but your settings will revert to default. Heck, it'll run better for it as well.

I should've clarified I know what IOBT is, but the context escaped me until Mackandelius expanded on it. Q3 has had that feature for awhile, just not available in VRC standalone. You can get full body estimation with vive tracker emulation through Virtual Desktop as they explained.

ive never used mocopi, but i do have some custom slimes that i commissioned and they work decently. i do have to calibrate them quite often though, more often than i was expecting (every 10 min) however the calibration is very easy and you can even do it while sitting or laying down.
also 500 bucks for mocopi? just buy slimes. i have 10 pt tracking and only spent like 380. only downside is the wait times

But the battery will still drain but at a slower pace than standalone

You can get a Type C to C, or Type C to A cable that can display. Don't be using the phone charging cables. You will be using the Meta Quest app for this method. Or if you have great internet connection at 5.0 GHz frequency, you can go wireless with Air Link via the Meta Quest App, Steam Link, or Virtual Desktop.

If using the Meta Quest app, you can use the Oculus PC version, or SteamVR version. SteamVR you can add other approved programs such as OVR Toolkit and XS Overlay to view and use your computer while in VR, OVR Advanced settings to use Playspace mover, LIV which is a chatbox while watching streams available on the Steam Store.

Depends on where you go and who you talk to. The only ones that care are those group instances run by role play bars. They often want you in their discord and such other requirements. Public instances? No one cares as much.

Which is in itself a form of roleplay. Just jump in and play with the mechanics and such, but if you want a more organized experience, the groups are the way to go.

Pc doesn't matter. Also depends on you. If you intend to play a lot of vr games standalone, maybe the 512 is for you. Personally, most of my vr games are on my pc, so I make due with the 128gb and I've only scratched the surface of it.

If you don’t see yourself using it for much else other than VRChat, then the 128gb is more than enough. But it fills up quickly if you start exploring other VR games, some of which can be quite large in file size.

Best advice would be to stick to group public worlds, they have much better moderation and in general more to offer than public worlds

Learn quickly how to block and mute people. You'll know when the time is right for either. Stay away from Black Cat. Also what Zapp said.

McMansion is probably the best 1st world because it's a good mix of the chaos from places like black cat and the chillness of actual good worlds, plus it's got a ton of active players
