"Questie" only really applies to standalone, a good number of people on PC use a quest when doing PCVR. Whole distinction is kinda dumb anyway, but you are a real one for doing that for her

I wouldnt say it is "rigged" standalone vr battery has never been stellar. It also depends on your mode of connection when doing PCVR, what it has to render, or not, isnt the only factor. I plug my Q2 into my pc using the official link cable and a thunderbolt 4 port, and I always have a net positive charge, ive never had battery issues when connected with a cable. I imagine I would achieve the same results with a Q3.

thats part of your problem already.

if you have wifi up to snuff, you are probably better off using airlink, or VD, and charging your headset with the included charger, or one that supports 10w or better charging.

the cable you are using should have comparable specs to that of the link cable for best results, there are a lot of third party cables that people swear on, so just do your research, but it sounds like yours isnt one of them

Can I play vrchat with the vive focus 3's standalone ability? (Similar to quest's)

Like Quest, it would need to be added to the app store in headset, in this case, Viveport. Which it is not on that service, you would have no choice but to explore PCVR options with that device. As I am not familiar with your particular device, i may be wrong, but I did do a quick search and it is not an available app for standalone.

usually its going to be one of the main input buttons if you are on quest. There is a setting that allows you to enable/disable flick selection.

Performance wise, they are equivalent. I already said that Q3 is far better in graphics quality as well as better lenses. which would be the only noticeable difference on VRC. stick around here long enough and you will see those with Q3 suffer the same issues as anyone else.

Refer to the latest in #announcements it is a feature in which VRC will automatically block an avatar that would have otherwise caused you to exceed available RAM, which would have kicked you back to your home world. Oftentimes, they will load as soon as you have enough RAM to spare, so its automatic, you can adjust your safety settings or reset if you cant wait.

Correction here: the quest 3 uses a better chip, but it’s more improved in the GPU than CPU (which is what VRChat is more bound by, but improvements were made to both). Despite that, people have reported better performance in VRChat (higher fps, fewer stutters), and the Quest 3 has more RAM so you’re less likely to encounter the “Low Memory” issue.

Oh, one last thing, it may be worth checking your avatar (as well as others) vram usage stat to rule that out as an option for why you’re getting the memory low warning so quickly.

(Essentially just try some excellent ranked avatars, smaller worlds, stuff like that, to see if it’s related to the content you’re using, or your headset)

Final final thing (I swear this time I’m sorry for continuously pinging), this very much does sound like a memory leak, in which case my advice would probably still only be effective to a point, where the memory ends up full anyway. In that case, no matter what avatar you or anyone uses it’s unlikely to load. If this keeps happening 100% contact support.

There are USB cables that have two separate connections. One for data and one for dedicated power. That is what they are referring too. If you are able, USB-C is the better option if you have the port.

What mic would even switch to while on standalone? the aux port is audio only, and any device connected via bluetooth is the same. the only microphone available to you is the onboard one, hence the inability to switch. there is nothing to switch to. As Raini said, PCVR is your only choice for mic switching

You normally can find people here who are willing to be helpful, but at the same time i would urge a little bit of caution with this request as it requires you to give your uploader your login information. the best practice for this is to change your password into something different and temporary and provide that then change it back once you are complete with the request. never give anyone your current password, especially if you use it in more than one place.

If it doesn't work, change your input device and try again until you hear yourself.
If it still doesn't work, check your device settings (outside Discord).
If it still doesn't work, restart your pc, or check advanced settings for the input, output, and audio related devices.
If it still doesn't work, then as a last resort you can reinstall discord and/or factory reset your device.

I recently discovered that VRChat Video/Media players (for YouTube videos) won’t work if your not on you Quest’s Primary Account. Say you share your Quest with another person in your household and they try to running VRChat from a Secondary Account on your Quest Headset, VRC Media Players will consistently say Error when trying to load a video, whereas the Primary account on the headset will have no issue playing media even when Unknown Sources is enabled on both VRC accounts.

Your problem is side quest. Connect your quest to pc directly, approve the file transfer permission in headset and transfer the file using the file explorer like you would any other media. Should work

I've seen people transfer up to 20gb using a direct cable connection. If I had to assume, it might be cable quality or some other hiccup occurring during the transfer that is causing the file to corrupt, or you are not putting the file in the correct place. Can always open a ticket with Meta Supprt, see if they can give you insight on why a direct connection won't work. They won't help with SQ.

It's possible your vrc permissions are incorrect, you can check them from the quest app library and going to its settings. You can uninstall/reinstall to see if that corrects it.

Mobile worlds on the other hand definitely do need to be tested on a device running the mobile version of VRChat, but at least we will eventually be able to do that with the android app.

Exactly what it sounds like. Uninstall vrc and reinstall. I literally just switched from pcvr to my quest, using an avatar that looks the same on both, and I have no issues. Everything looks as it should.
