The best quick resource imo is Sippbox on yt. If you are using more than two outfits make sure you use an int parameter and not multiple bools parameters. If you have multiple anims effecting the same thing at one time it can mess things up.

went from 22mb to 18.56mb
the one thing i cant decimate is the body since the head is attached and blender wont let me decimate anything with shape keys

The easiest way is look at the worlds listed under avatar worlds. But then you gotta take time to search each world, otherwise try to buy or find soe online which seems to be harder.

CATS Bake has a low-CPU-cost method for doing it, just moving the relevant meshes to new bones and reweighting them against it. Then you can toggle things on/off by shrinking them to nothing

I don't know myself, but basically it's the same as any other animation override for walking. You make your own walking animation that includes the digileg bones, and use that as the override

If a lot of the Avatars you had were from the same game or similar then that's probably what happened.

in your case a toon style cel shading can be had with the matcap at the left

the overall gray reduces the brightness from being an unlit shader by darkening the whole character a little
