But I, an intellectual, pulled up the old room join system and found out it still had searching and you could search and join any room regardless of private or not

Break your PC is a bit of an exaggeration--Though requiring a restart may be true. Alt+f4 could be your friend in an instance of a fullscreen crash that Windows refuses to handle though. Usually a crash would be handled by Windows and you can get it closed out of, or you can use the start menu.

I did actually just realize that it is technically a bug... when you're in menu, VRC is moving your irl mouse as if the in-game look function is applying mouse movement and the on-screen mouse created from looking at a menu
