I mean. In all honesty I’m rlly not sure. If it is a simple code breaking they can resolve it, if it ends up being more than that then who knows what’ll happen. In theory it could potentially be a virus of some sort. Due to all the crashers and hackers they could’ve/could easily put a high tech virus of some sort within the coding that causes the infection of it to spread. So lag could be the lease of it. I’m basically saying it could get to where the whole game itself has to be permanently shut down and redone. I mean realistically that could happen, but that’s a very very small chance of happening.

But again. If it is just a simple code break then in theory we could potentially be the problem behind the situation. They said the increase and decrease counters are all messed up and causing problems, and they advise people to not go into public lobbies and popular ones at that. Sadly no one listens and they just keep going even tho it’s lagging badly. So potentially we all could be playing a major role behind the problem. 🤷🏼‍♂️

If it's a virus causing the problem, then VRChat might actually die out, or have a hard time recovering from that. I mean, an early access game with a subscription service of $10 a month or $100 a year, and it gets a virus causing a lot of problems.

I will say that the code break could be a combination of the players going to public instances and the devs messing something up in the code. VRChat as far as I know from years I've been playing it, has never had a situation where the number of players joining and leaving instances could break the code.

I’m on q2 also. Tbh I rlly wouldn’t worry abt much. I just think maybe q2 could be playing a part since it just came out in October I think and their still tryna work on it, plus work on a million other things for the pc version of it.

The only problem I have other than the lag with vrchat is that after hours upon hours of playing the real world doesn’t rlly feel as real anymore. Especially when ur in vr for like 8-10 hrs.

My best advice would be to try and take breaks from the VR for say 30-45 minutes every three hours. And if you still want to hang with friends, switch to desktop for that length of time, then go back to VR after the 30-45 minutes is up.

In my opinion, that's what a lot of VR users should do to try and make sure they are able to still know the difference between VRChat and real life. Not to mention, get the chance to see what it's like playing on the platform that was bashed a lot by VR players prior to Quest's introduction.

There’s no difference if you’re a steam account, you’ll still level up and eventually get Trusted. The only difference is when the time comes that you would earn the ability to upload your own avatar, you just won’t., and the leveling up is also slower for Steam accounts.
