I've had 5 index controls have joystick drift now. It's a serious problem. They will do advanced replacements for it
Basically just don't EVER use the joystick click, it will accelerate the degradation of your joysticks and make them drift faster/worse.

Still, my advice is getting the Vive controllers, if you got already a Vive you'll even save money that way. I would wait for a 2nd gen Index controller, then those issues will probably be fixed.

OLED being a big one. The black levels suck on the index apparently. Makes sense as they are LCD

basically the only things that are better than the index on the vive pro are OLED screens and the ability to go wireless. Other than that its either on par (like the tracking) or the index is better (with the audio for example)

Having the CV1 here, it's definitely OLED. But compared to today's OLEDs, inferior to newer ones in a lot of ways. But, still better colorwise than the Rift S I think, which is (if I'm not wrong) using an LCD which was a major downgrade. They only got an upgrade resolution wise.

It is already discontinued if I'm not wrong. What I'm worried about is the spare cable situation with the CV1 atm. I'm happy that I got during warranty a new one. But once that is dead, even used ones go for like $100 on ebay and there is no third-party producer.

Today's market yes, but as for two to three years ago, Oculus nailed it with their headsets. Affordable and good tracking. What I'll miss the most, are the Oculus controllers and how comfortable the CV1 is compared to all these other headsets. For me the only headset that can even closely call themself to being ergonomic.

As of the latest update, player ranking has been downplayed (colored nametags removed, now only seen while the quick menu is open) it would be my guess that the intention is to downplay the importance of them, which I think is the right move. I hope eventually they are moved to only being seen on the detail page, and, ideally, eventually removed from public view entirely.

Yeah it seems to keep everything that was previously loaded. I've experienced that for a while. If I switch to an alt for a video or something, often the friends list and even loaded avatars would persist unless I fully logged out and closed the game first

It's not pay to win at all. It's a one time very small boost. Not enough to rank anyone up past visitor-new. It's the same as uploading a world or adding friends is a "trust boost"

It makes perfect sense tbh... The whole point of the trust system is to deter people from being banned, and just coming back on a new account to upload a new avatar and harass. Showing that you are willing to support the devs is kinda proof that you do care at least a little

You only get a small trust rank boost, there isnt a new special rank and if your user or above its not even sure you rank up.
And if you can put the photo, you should have it.
As #announcements said the servers are a bit slow and stuff

To offer some clarification: it may seem simple on a surface level for us to tackle a bug like that but it's actually very involved and we've gotta be careful to avoid breaking other things. Can promise that the host voice bug is being worked on though, but appreciate your patience.
