Hey im planning on doing something weird with vr and i was hoping to ask if someone knows how to do it.

I'm basically hoping to setup a virtual room and camera where I have my avatar talk to the camera and walk around. I'm also planning to use the oculus quest 2 which has bad resolution, but good head tracking. is there any program where i can have a camera that records the vr room and the avatar in better resolution than what the vr headset produces.

Either way, all you need is a webcam, greenscreen, and your TV strapped to your face, you can stream one of the cameras to your desktop and record your webcam and stream seperately, you doing this live or pre-recorded?

If you're using Quest standalone, it should never get EAC messages because it does not run EAC

I have been trying to play vrchat for the past hour and a half. Every time I get on it says "timed out" about 5 mins after I join a world.

What the heck is going on. I am getting very frustrated. It shouldnt be in my internet. I get good speeds. I dont understand why the damn game is breaking. it is getting on my nerves though. Anything change? I saw there was a new policy when I launched the game. was there a update too? what all was in it if there was

Speed has nothing to do with stability of a network though--
Networking is a big giant nasty blackhole that constantlt changes. Odds are your ISP changed something and this is the result

If you are on a wireless network I suggest going wired.
If you are already on a wire I suggest just rebooting the network and waiting ~5 minuten before replugging it

Your neighbors getting a new wifi hotspots can mess up your stability for example.

cpu usage is measured in total. e.g. if you have 8 cores, and 4 are fully being used, that's 50%. Most games don't multithread everything, meaning even if you have 8 cores, doesn't mean the game will use all 8

Fun note about cpu core usage and vidyas: there are actually super shenanigans outliers in retro gaming that require you to physically go in and shut down the path to X amount of cores before the game will even run nowadays

Section 9.2 in the ToS states you signed to lose the ability to actually win a lawsuit. You've given perpetual, no-exceptions permission for vrc to use your things the moment you hit accept on the ToS prompt.

Now yes, this does also state in 9.1 that you retain actual ownership of your assets. However this covers your assets. They can't claim the original as theirs, but they sure can claim the imported <whatever avi/object/world here> to use how they see fit.

Both of these phrases to me are ownership, albeit both are a different definition thereof.

just gonna tell yer. You can get hand tracking if you get the Index controllers which should be compatible with Vive and the base stations

and since you have vive pro, you pretty much have identical base stations to Index base stations so the only difference is the headset and controllers and you can just get those controllers or the headset without having to buy the whole kit.

My advice is to find worlds where there are things to do besides just talk. Visiting the Quest-compatible Virtual Market worlds is a great time. Game worlds are a good way to not have the pressure of feeling like you have to say something, plus you automatically gain a common point of interest you can use as a topic of conversation (the game you're participating in). It's also a good way to gauge if someone's worth talking to.

Try not to stress out too much about making friends--there are lots and lots of people in VRChat, you'll meet people you can gel with eventually.

Also, please please please be at least 13 years old, and be safe.
