my account is a mac.com address which is the exact same thing, as is mobile.me.

my question is how is the ios app going to be approved if you are systematically rejecting apples eco-system and when one of the requirements will be that sign-in with apple be added to the app if sign-in with google remains.

I'm still waiting for the iOS version email. As a side note, I recently used the Windows emulator on Android to successfully run offline VRChat locally on my phone. However, due to the little blue bear, I can't do an online stress test. Currently, the blank world frame rate in the offline test is around 40 frames.

just hit a bug with ios on ios26. if i am in a discord call and open vrchat, audio is killed completely. neither vrchat or discord has audio. both apps have to be closed for audio to return. @cloud vapor is this happening with yours?

That is how it works. Not a bug, a feature. I have reported audio issues on start months ago. If you have any other audi playing, VRC just kills it

also this is a new thing and applies to ios26. when i was on the previous operating system, I was able to stay in call, launch vrc, and share my screen. ios26… it all comes crashing down.

also to note, vrc is not alone. the other app exhibiting this behavior is facebook. once it grabs audio it is dead until all apps are restarted.

this may be an os bug or it may be an api change. i know that audio engineers and musicians have put out a warning to not update to macOS sonoma for the same reason. it can kill their DAWs

The interesting news is - iirc one of the servers im in has said that to get an iOS app working on Apple Silicon Macs, it's a checkbox in the publish page.

I would test a Mac release, although my iPhone is an XR from 2018.

Check your email associated to your VRChat account from anything by an Apple.com domain, even if you did your spot was probably given to someone else

Currently no, the TestFlight is full but that doesn't mean the 16 is unsupported. Anything newer than the survey's listings will work and have even better performance once it releases to the app store (No ETA).

That’s how TestFlight builds work. The developer needs to make a new build of the game every 3 months or have their TestFlight temporarily unavailable

So every update to the TestFlight, that countdown will reset. It’s nothing for the end user/tester to worry about

Question: Worlds with two video players do they crash iOS VRChat?

From recent observations and testing, my world seems to now crash me only on ios [by myself in an instance]. But I suspect it might be because it's trying to load two videoplayers at the same time while running out of memory? [Unsure if this was a recent change or if two videoplayers running at the same time can cause this {one video and one live}

Just curious if anyone else has encountered this or if it's just me or the world (Currently attempting to troubleshoot to find out if it's the world, or something in the world or something else [Also curious if this issue persists on devices with more RAM or if it's a recent bug or if it's something else. Not yet 100% sure]

The world seems to be working fine on this device (iPad Pro M4) but I noticed a 10-second freeze when I first entered, I think it's the lag that caused the iPhone to crash.

This 10 second freeze occurrs on android too and ios. Although I've sometimes observed the iPhone getting the freeze and even getting past the freeze too (things would be smooth for a few seconds like the iPad pro), but once video player 2 loads the live stream, then it crashes

My suggestion is if you think the problem comes from the video player, try changing it. If it still doesn't work, remove it from the Android / iOS version if possible and mention with a message on the map that the video player is experiencing crashes.

You aren't missing much, let's be real; it's just the Quest version on a touchscreen

Unlike users like myself who find this to be an extreme technical marvel, on the surface it's... just the Quest version on a touchscreen
I waited patiently for about 5 months back when I applied in August 2024 and got in by January this year, and I've only really booted up the iOS beta to test my avis, test the limits of both my iPad and VRC mobile, and finding super niche bugs

It's still hilarious how there used to be a scam version of VRC mobile back in 2021 called "Virtual C", but it was probably some garbage generic unity asset flip with some vrchat models imported

All in all it's really cool they brought it to iOS, runs better than the Quest (since my M2 iPad Pro has 8GB of RAM and a literal desktop CPU), and it's well crafted (enough) for mobile
The only issues are super niche cases, such as the horrific lag spike when connecting your phone/iPad to an external display while the game is already open

I will warn you when it does come out, keep your FPS locked to 30 as much as possible, 60 eats battery like Pac-Man at a buffet, and 120hz will cook your hands like my iPhone 6 did on PUBG Mobile

Widgets are a whole thing! I've experimented with it. Unfortunately the way iOS widgets work, they only get to refresh a few times a day, so the stuff they show can be anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes out of date. So it's really bad for showing any "now" data, like how many friends are online. But there's nothing stopping us from putting VRCat in a widget saying something else! We'd just have to figure out what we can do under those constraints

The App Store cannot detect if the devices are compatible or not, only with the iOS version that can detect it, that's why you can install the app with unsupported devices.

For my part, I am still stuck on the test flight because the app is not available in France, so I am stuck on an old version.

in iOS words, that translates to any iPhone/iPad with 4GB of RAM or above, and maybe even 3GB since I've seen iOS being able to allocate more RAM to apps in foreground

If you use a PC avatar on mobile, it will be displayed as a robot and not as an impostor. In general, you cannot use PC avatars on Android and iOS.

If it is an avatar that you are trying to display and it is displayed as a robot error, it is a question that I also ask, there may be a reason wanted by the developers.

Same thing happens to me with "some" avatars. It might be because they have textures or other things that just aren't compatible with iOS yet. I've also done it with others and it does work, just depends on their avatar

I had someone send me a friend request while on iPad Pro. Hit ESC (the menu icon), go to notifications, and accept it (like normal)
