I’d take a look at the link I posted above, but PC plate is very soft and flexible (it’s like a fish out of water and flops around), and it removes a fair bit of sound (made RAWs sound muted to me)

FR4 is less flexible, but gives you a fuller bodied sound

Great stability, sound is little stale imo (large box stem so it’s a little airy/weirdly muted) not bad, but not my overall preference

If you’re just using something like jades or RAWs the stability increase will be noticeable

YT sound tests can vary quite a bit bc every build will be different, their recording setup will be quite varied and there’s 10-16 other variables that can influence how a YT sound test and other sound tests will come out

Okay, final review for now, I really like the POM keycaps at least at first impressions. They don't feel greasy like I thought they would, they have less texture than the PBT but in a soft sorta way, not a grease sorta way. They sound about the same at 1.5mm thickness, but look way better with their transparency than the PBT. Overall, totally personal preference, but glad I got them.

hey, if you change your stock wootings switches to different ones with less total travel, do you need to change your stabilizers aswell? my bigger keys feel kinda heavy

Nah. You're just feeling a difference in the spring return most likely.

Just make sure that your keycap is all the way on the stabilizers and is balanced between the two and you are good to go.

But yeah, you can always add/remove lubricant to tune it.

testing jade ultras now. They sound slightly higher pitch than gateron spark, i assume due to the stem change

same magnet issues with being a little too weak and taking auto compensation longer to figure it out

yeah, but all the gateron split stems beat polar pro because they have fully enclosed split stem with good lube

polar pro are open split stem with only small amount of lube

their only downside is they didn't make the magnet stronger when making it closed 3.2mm, so have to wait for our switch selector for it to work well

Deeper Jade Pro sound with different feel, while having same stability. 99% of the hype is the newer launch (deep clack) and ppl that never tried flux previously.

If you never tried or prefer how jades sound, you can keep using POMs since stability is largely the same

I used the Jade pros and then swapped to OG POM for added stability since they got wobbly, then tried flux and ended up preferring it
