if you look at low profile hall effect switch (gateron jade low profile), you can see the pin that goes through the pcb, which is not a thing on wooting

Stiff/dense plate, and if we talking about HE switches here, anything that is loud, poppy, or just clacky in general. I don't use plate foam at all cus it's used as a sound acoustic modifier so it chanegs the pitch of the switch/keystroke. Case foam I mostly don't use but if I do find my case to be hollow I would just use polyfill. Unliek other type of case foams, polyfill maintains the pitch of the bottom out of the whole board but only dampens the reverb of the case. Right now I'm currently using alu plate without any foam and I honestly like it. You may not like it but sometimes case reverb can be like a side characteristic to the sound profile which some can appreciate.

usually the more foam you pack the clackier it gets cus you're jamming up space with more foam so sound is being reflected back. It will still alter the sound of the board but will still project sound back if you put a lot

on the bottom of the third party alu plate I have, the bottom standoffs are not aligned horizontally so I'm only able to screw in the top and middle standoffs. telling by the image, kind of an issue for bottom 2 rows functionality. (also makes stabs wire scratch). Is there any way, even if super janky, that I could get the bottom row of the plate and pcb screwed together at any point? (nvm just my first time installing a plate and I think i just have to make the standoffs meet in the middle if there's just slightly enough leeway). however, warped plate is a slight issue and i might have to try to flatten it out again

Aside from the no profiles thing, which imo makes it quite annoying to use for anything other than gaming and the stupid fn layer.. the performance itself seems fine I guess? Actuation wise, when i compared it head to head to 80HE, you can feel that you have to press the keycap down a little bit. On gt60 it actuates with resting fingers + little bit of force, without really feeling the keycap going down. But the difference between 80he is already so small, going from venom to gt60 seems extremely useless to me @polar girder

Thats my very subjective experience with the pcb, might have to wait for @silk hound opinion tho

-socd sometimes turns off after booting pc, so i have to delete the keys and select the keys again
-rgb effects are only in..... rgb/rainbow colors OR single solid color. But you can change rgb directions
-sometimes random leds light up, even though i have them turned off
-fn key rebind was allowed with last firmware update, but it doesn't work (before that, you would get a pop-up saying "Rebinding of FN Key not allowed!" or some shit
-no talk about profiles in future fm updates, instead, they apparently announced 0.004 rt settings in a future update?
-this one is extremely subjective, but i could swear my d key is more sensitive than was keys. I put on d on 0.2, was on 0.1, now they feel the same to me

Closing statement: The software is definitely in the growing pains phase, and who knows if gateron will pull it through.. From what I hear, the venom software is a good chunk ahead and from personal experience, the wooting software seems years ahead
