There is one thing that is preventing me to pull the trigger on the 60HE v2:
All the competition has rapid trigger at 0.1 or lower. Wooting still only supports > 0.15 . It's this being actively worked on? I am not talking about dead zones.

60HE v2 will have the ability to set 0.1mm rapid trigger sensitivity (although it'll likely also apply to most of our ARM based keyboards with switch configurator coming as part of Wootility v5.2)

Stability shouldn’t be an issue as the board is already doing it when using switches with a travel of 3.5mm or less and 0.1 at the same time.

It’s around 0.08 or so in reality.

So it depends on your preference. Since I almost exclusively use my right thumb mostly on Spacebar, a split is great for me because it's less eccentric, so less reliant on the stabilizer of a long bar when I hit right side, so quieter and less clacky and less tuning needed.

And for people that press space with their right thumb, also not optimal. Both aren’t most people though, so it should be good.

They're doing production on the metal first. So the founder pre-order is roughly this month and then the metal ships at the close in early December (for first batch) but the plastic isn't CNC machined, but is rather molded in big molding machine dies.
Those dies take time to make, and so the production on that lags. Makes perfect business sense.

Hey shafie, when wooting says "full 4mm" do they mean that the switch could theoretically activate reliably at 0.1 mm or less, where some other switches might not be reliable until 0.12-0.15 mm?

Or are some switches not bottoming out at the full 4.00 mm travel point?

By "full 4mm" they're referring to the total travel distance of the switch, meaning the stem can physically move 4mm from top to bottom.
Most other switches have around 3.5mm of total travel, and while the keyboard auto-calibrates, the set actuation point isn't perfectly accurate with shorter travel switches for now (for example, if you set 0.1mm actuation in Wootility, it'll actually register at about 0.0875mm, or if you set 1.7mm actuation, it will actually be 1.4875mm and so on (total travel divided by 40 steps).
With 4mm travel, the actuation point will always be accurate (if you set 0.5mm, it’ll be precisely 0.5mm)
Wooting is also planning to release a switch selector in the near future, which will make all third-party switches with 3.5mm travel or less just as accurate.

I was looking at the new 60HE V2 with the split spacebar with aluminium case but I'm in the UK and would appreciate the ISO keyboard layout, but the aluminium case doesn't seem to be available for this keyboard layout and I was wondering if this was a glitch or if there's something preventing the options from pairing together?

If you want split ISO Alu, then you'll need to order a split ISO module, case, switches and keycaps separately.
Split ISO prebuilt won't be available.

Assembling takes like 5-10 minutes, no screws required. You just put the module in the case, then switches and keycaps.

the original reason 3.5mm HE became a thing is a lot to do with it being far easier to modify existing molds/designs to fit 3.5mm closed bottom vs. making entirely new molds and designs

nowadays there's more new molds being made so it's not as much of an issue with new designs but 3.5mm has already become a popular length and many existing designs are already 3.5mm so most brands would just go with that standard

You won't be missing anything if you get the 60v2 module, new aluminum case, Lekker Tikken switches, and PBT keycaps. The package will be the same as the pre-assembled version, the only difference is that you’ll need to assemble it yourself obviously.

Are the Lekker Tikken Medium recommended for the best experience? Rather than the Lekker switch - Linear45 (L45) v2 or Lekker switch - Linear60 (L60) v2, unless you have personal preference for them.

Lekker Tikkens are their new switches with tighter tolerances for improved stem wobble and closed bottom for better feel and sound. I recommend getting them instead of Lekker v2s.

And why exactly cant you use the stock plate with the owlab gasket mounting system? I did only a rough visual comparison, but the stock and owlab plate seem to have the same size, same thickness, only difference is the two cutouts on both short sides to reach the screw posts.

OW60’s included plate is slightly narrower, by a tiny bit. Still, enough to make the normal sized plate too tight.

The width difference is 0.4mm IIRC.

You can kind of force the stock plate with OW60’s friction mount in but it’s a pain. Also, before you go sanding the carbon fiber plate, use a mask 😂

honestly even if you could I think the only real gain is cf plate (but you can easily buy a 3rd party cf plate for the v2 module when sellers makes them later)

gasket mount on he is very stiff and doesn't add much bounce, just mostly good for sound isolation. Friction fit accomplishes similar sound benefits already

They are cautious estimates from us based on expected delivery dates with a bit of a buffer for small delays. It's easier to tell people it arrived slightly earlier than expected than delay it by a couple of days several times if something goes wrong like Harbor backlogs or strikes.
