Hi, I just received my Wooting Wrist Rest 80HE, but I noticed that the silicone surface has a small dent, as shown in the attached photo.
Is this level of dipping normal for this product, or should I consider it a defect?

Hey guys, can I manually calibrate the travel distance for the switches on my 60HE+? 🤔 I'm using switches that have a 3.5mm total travel, but the driver software goes up to 4.0mm.

With the default settings, some of my switches will jump from 3.2mm straight to 4.0mm when I press them down. Other switches will only go up to 3.2mm and stop. 😩

This is kinda messing with my experience when I'm using controller mode. Any ideas? Thanks! 🙏

You can't manually calibrate. Keyboard auto-calibrates

0-4mm in wootility is actually 0-100%

In the future, they will add a switch selector, allowing you to choose your switch for more precise and faster calibration.

ya ok so if it works with the fn layer, then this is a great solution that could give a 1x1 single purpose button 4 uses

pressing on it could do mute, pressesing on it in second layer does what the key it replaced does, spin left could be volume down or another button, spin right could be volume up or yet another button - and spinning it on the second layer could add even MOAR for a total of 6 functions in the space of one! MUAHAHAHAHAH (well space of 2 if you count the fn button)

but wait, there's more! we could make it so rapid double clicking it, counts as some other function!

The thing is that you get 8kHz and half brithness or 1kHz and full brithness of the keys. The thing is that when setting 8kHz on my mouse I can feel the difference, while for keyboard it does not matter/you can't observe a meaningful difference.

So apparently the 80HE is a damn tank... I was in the middle of moving so all my stuff was in boxes in the basement water heater broke flooded the basement totally submerged the 80HE for at least 2 days while on an emergency work trip (where I was also laid off such a great week...) I got home put it over a box fan upside down on some mesh shelves for 48 hours then in a heated container upside down over some desiccant (a little box I use to warm up and dry out filament I made.) Works like nothing ever happened to it. Did the same with 2 keychrons and they are dead and my stream deck which some buttons work but no screen display works which is ok because I use it for a handful of macros might need to replace it with something though eventually...

Ghost/frost white if you want rgb.

If you want the RGB illumination the full black will stop the light and only the keys are going to be illuminated. With the ghost/frost you are getting the whole case illuminated.

We do not have mac specific labels in any of our keyboards or keycap sets.

there's a ton of aftermarket keycaps you can pick, from cheap to expensive depending on what you want. I use several on my mac computer, which is my main work computer for wooting

osume for example all mostly have mac keycaps, pbtfans as well both do mac keycaps on majority of their keycaps

8k on a wireless mouse will limit it to like 1-2 days before needing a recharge. But 1k will give you several days if not weeks. But receiver connection is usually the pain point for mouse stutters. Wired fixes all the above issues.

i need some help with my 80he, i had a defective switch on my A key, it had a weird bump when being pressed down so i just pulled it with the included plastic puller. replaced it and done. however im now getting i think ghost inputs is the right term? occasionally it will just spam that key. a few minutes ago i was trying to remote desktop into the pc the 80he is connected to and it was spamming the input so i couldnt log in. usually pressing the key fixes it. a restart fixed it this time. its a geon raw bought from wooting, i dont have any left. what should i do?

Btw nobody talks about it, but the environment affects the sound of the keeb a lot. I tried to use cushions around my desk to get rid of the echo, and noticed that the sound of the keeb significantly changed! Also the type of your desk matters. I got a more soft sound once I bought a full-size mat and placed the keeb on it, not on a tabletop

btw once I realized that, I quit chasing the 'perfect sound' of a keeb, because I may buy a crazy expensive set of keeb custom equipment, but still get not a pleasure sound just because you have a couple of empty wall around and it all would cause fast-echo, type of echo, which you don't here as a repeater of the sound but the echo which changes the existing sound.
But I really wish I had a full-done sound room where there's no echo and I can enjoy the pure sound of each thock... what a pity in realty I live in a kitchen lmao

No, CRT won't do anything with that low actuation. You can enable it, won't hurt, but it's mostly for higher actuation points.

Mine has 2 18650 cells in it. (Same as in e-bike or car battery packs) and it lasts weeks or months. Idk haven’t tried to fully drain it. Last ages in a drawer and can blow for quite some time.

Stock stabilizers are good. If you don’t like the sound, you can lube them, and they will be as good as aftermarket stabilizers.

if you find it usable, there is no single "best" setting, use what's comfortable

iirc I got 0.45 or smth like that on rt reset for gaming

took me about one and a half weeks to adjust, i used to lay my fingers the keys and apply small pressure without me noticigin, preloading the switch if you want to call it that. with the 80HE i was sometimes pressing WASD by accident. Just adjust the sens till you find your sweetspot you like.
