If you look up Aerons from office surplus stores, you can get them super cheap. I have had 2-3 of em that I give to family that I get for around 200-400 depending on whether it's a classic or the revamped one.

I think they are a solid recommendation for big people. I'm 6'3 205ish and the Medium and Large are about the same for comfort.

Though, if your dad sits for more than 10hrs a day (like I do, SW dev and gamer), the Anthros chair is my top recommendation but it's much more expensive. My butt never gets sore in this thing; it doesn't make sense how this is the case but until you work a whole day and don't feel sore or tired at the end of the day. I don't even sit with the back support making contact with me; the "lumbar" keeps me upright.

That's basically my only drawback. The fabric is super hot and the leatherette makes it horrible to wear shorts. But beyond that, IMO they are worth the hype. Best chair I have used without question (and I have tested a lot).

If you move it up and down, it disconnects but it stays in place once you have the right angle, and stays connected.

I have a 20€ discount code for the 80HE, and it seems it's plastiic case is only 10€. 185€ for the 80HE module + case or 252€ for the 60HE module with the cheapest case. Last time I tried the Huntsman V3, the keycaps felt like they had more pressure than usual when typing. afaik huntsman switches have 48gf initial so they are a bit heavier than stock 80he L60. If L60 are heavy for you, you can either spring swap them with lighter springs or get other, lighter switches.

Lubing is required at all and overlubing can be bad. If you feel the sound has become too scratchy or the feeling not smooth over time, then lubing is great
