Generally it‘s advised that you have it on your eye height so you dont need to lean down to look at it

You can still get really up close like a cs player would or whatever but as a rule of thumb its beat to have it on eye height for a number of ergonomic reasons

I just got my 80HE for Christmas in December and decided it was time for a little spring cleaning tune up. I removed some of the keys around WASD / 1234 / Tab, Shift, Ctrl, etc as there was noticeable gunk building up from constantly using these keys while gaming.

I've cleaning the base of the case using a q-tip and a electronics (screen) cleaner and giving the key caps a proper wipe using the same cleaner and micro-fiber cloth.

Is this the proper way to clean and maintain? and would anyone suggest re-lubbing my keys or would that not be necessary yet?

Keycaps you can take off, put in a bucket with lukewarm (never hot!!!) water with some dish soap

Just make sure they are properly dry before reinstalling them

What to do about my 80HE?

I preordered my 80HE back in March ‘24 and finally got it around mid October. fast forwards about ~5 months and today I noticed what I thought was some debris on my keyboard.

I grabbed a napkin to just wipe it off but realized it was still there so I very lightly dampened it with a spritz of water and tried wiping it again (this time with a little more pressure incase it was stuck on there)

When I pulled the napkin away I was confused as now what I thought was a dirt spec got bigger. Upon closer inspection it looks like the Zinc Alloy material chipped or got worn away somehow? I didn’t even think this was possible (I chose the zinc alloy over the PCT because I figured it would just be more durable like a solid chunk of metal)

My question now is what do I do? I know it doesn’t impact the functionality of my keyboard, but it just hurts every time I look at it now. Is this something that can get replaced by warranty? I’m just kind of lost

to clean my keyboard i take off all caps and then brush the dirt off the keyboard or take a little dustblower and then i take warm water with soap and let the caps in that for like 10 minutes and then wash them off with cold water and let them dry

My guess would be that the JST cable came loose in your board. If you feel comfortable with opening it you could check on it and reseat it.

I encounter this issue quite often since I got the 80HE. Upon checking each keystroke, it always end up at 0.11 actuation point. Changing cable and reconnecting doesn't fix the issue,it just go away after reopen Wootility multiple times. No idea what trigger it or how to recreate this bug.

like for example my 80he has issues on one of my computers because it has stable power issues due to my computer psu being a bit old and overtaxed at times

if you haven't tried yet, turn down polling to 1k and see if anything changes there. Its a bit odd that it keeps ending at 0.11 for you though - could be other things happening

Like within wootility, I dont believe you can cehck for a specific cable. Just speaking from previous experience from other people that switching to the original wooting cable helped with keyboard issues that had. Not always, but sometimes that was the case

That usually means that whatever you're waiting for is not a keyboard, but instead some kind of accessory.

These -typically- do not receive batch updates, because they're on time, and there's nothing to say.

You should still have an estimated delivery date to fall back on of course.

That just means you are 1. more used to that angle and 2. it might be easier for you to reach all the keys at that angle

80 refers to the size. So a 2HE80HE is a mathematical impossiblity. It can't both be 80HE sized and 2HE sized at the same time.
