it exists but with how polling and scanning actually works it's completely pointless

even current 8k scan you don't actually get that maximum benefit because the 'delay' amount if assuming you input a key EXACTLY after the previous scan so that you perfectly miss the last batch of data going to your pc

realistically the gain is on average half. So for example if a board is 1ms faster, half the time you might only gain 0.5ms due to how polling/scanning works

İnternal electronic scanning rate would need tobe higher as the update rate of the internal memory registers, which would need to be higher as the speed your computer asks for the data (polling rate)

But putting polar 65 and endgame above it is criminal imo because of the weird way the rapid trigger works on the polar/endgame. Once again, this is my opinion coming into play. BTW, talking of grey keycaps, check out 80Retros GAME 1989 GSA Profile Keycap Set. I might just go with those for the raw.

80Retros GAME 1989 keycaps have a little white, light grey, dark grey, and a few colors tossed in. If raw case is too shiny, then these might be a wrong choice.

Hence not pulling the trigger on any of em.

Hello @buoyant solstice I know in the video Calder said there are going to be injection flow marks and that they can't control where they appear. I don't mind if they appear on the back, but I'm wondering, like in this pic here that's "final", there are blemishes (red circles) and lines showing up in the raw case. Is there a possibility that mine will also have these? If that is the case, I might think of changing my order to the black zinc case.

I like the final "color" of the case, but at least at the top (customer-facing), it needs to be consistent.

if you ever saw a weddingring brushed or polished new vs old consider that for the raw case more than some "flow marks"

I'm fine with the brushed look, but I'd prefer it be consistent overall, instead of random blemishes appearing on top case. You can even see some vertical lines on the right side there (in the pic with the red circle).

You can wear down anything - But at that point you're touching the raw case, including any kind of staining you can do.

I actually fell in love when I saw the raw case during Computex. A bit shinier. I think it was polished. This final version seems a bit more matted. Which I still like but not as much as the other one.

I'm fine with the matted look, I actually like it more than the black and the white, but if it'll have those random blemishes and vertical lines on top, then I'm not sure if I'll like it.
