because the switch pads deform under the pressure of the fingers as you type abd does change the height from the HE PCB, I dont think they would work, please correct me if im wrong :)

I've been looking for a new keyboard for a whiile, but nothing really fully met what I wanted, and I ended up with the 80he as the closest one - only issue being that I'm pretty confused by how the colour works? I'd want a light one, but white seems to only be available in zinc which is 100 euros more which is.. a bit dumb, and too much for me to be willing to do. There is the 'frost' case type, but I can't find that on the preorder site - is there really no prebuilt option?

If you want the black or white zinc, you can email us for an upgrade invoice. If you want the raw zinc (and don't have the Module already), we'll have to cancel the original order. Then when you've placed a new one, we can restore your Founder status onthe new order instead.

We're taking it two orders of magnitude further, using the fact that our system already knows a ton of context about the customer's order, and using that to help the customer provide our team with everything they need in order resolve a ticket in one go. Like if a customer wants to return an order... Within specific criteria, there's no reason for support to be involved at all. Within 30 days and for regularly sold products, there's no question. Generate your own return label, receive instructions for how to ship it to which fulfillment center or return portal, get a receipt and be informed of the reverse logistics process and timings, indicate if the preference is for a refund or replacement item. That's already three emails back and forth with support that doesn't need to happen. Only remaining piece is for the return to get inspected at the fulfillment center and the preferred resolution executed by our team. Badabing, badaboom.

Don’t know about them, but my boss works with Amazon and some stuff gets damaged in shipping or ppl open it and mess with it before sending it back, we take those returns sort through the good ones repair/quality control them and repackage them. And the bad ones either get thrown out or used for parts. We work and sell professional decals so probably much different but I’d take a gander and guess that they’re fixing them up and putting them back on the “sell shelf” or for parts.

the knob has a sturdy press and is extremely tactile with the highest quality encoder I have used in my life

if you're not a diehard for performance and would rather sacrifice a bit of modability (especially not having access to KS-20, ONLY KS-37) BUT havinga jack of all traits board, the Q1 HE is a good keyboard and it can do triconnectivity, connect to 3 devices over BT, and is open source and QMK compatible.

If you want the best support and performance and customizability, go wooting

or just be me and get both lol

I have mouse with high polling rate dongle, and I don't know. Seems it causes more harm than good too often when more than 2000hz.

Some games it works fine, but for example Portal RTX was stuttery as hell with anything beyond 1000hz.

And have to be honest, there is imho zero difference going past 1khz.

It’s mostly only noticeable for fast pace fps tracking with 360hz and above monitor. Else u can’t really tell apart 2k to 4/8k

It doesn't make any sense that it could be noticeable in any situation. 1000hz already mouse updates every 1ms. But even 360hz screen updates every 2,78ms.

It's nice and all that it does this all extra work in the background, but it really doesn't amount much to anything really, since we're so bottlenecked by other components in the chain.

Imagine a sound playing 1000 times per one second. But you are only limited to hear it 360 times per every second. Does it really make a difference if we up the ante and play the sound 2-8k times a second, since we can only still hear it 360 times.

the only times where it actually makes a dignificant difference I would say is if you play games that dont really take much advantage from framerate but if the tickrate/phyaics is bound to the poll/scan rate of your device is when you could seriously take advantage of someyhing this insane

keyboard polling rate matters more than mouse polling rate. it's very hard to notice a difference with mouse polling rate even with high speed camera and a high end monitor. but keyboard polling rate is pretty relevant for high level osu mania for example. 8k is just crazy though.

ehhh not really for me, I mean the corsair K70 TKL was a fast kb with 8k poll and 4k scan, but my cousins wooting is 1k scan/poll and is so much faster. scan/poll ≠ faster, it just removes 1 factor, because there is also processing latency to take into account. my Q1 HE has the slowest response times of these but is in the middle of the K70 and the 60HE+.
slowest to fastest in practice:
K70 (8k), Q1 HE (1k) by a lot, 60HE+ (1k) by a noticeable but lesser amount

filterkeys are off by default in windows.... aka you dont have any debounce or such... not to mention its a separate setting from the key repeat settings of keyboard settings since its meant for accessibility so disabled people can have accurate inputs without accidental double inputs...

Okay. I didn't even know you could disable the web search component. Have to try it out. On my office computer, with over 2tb of ecom stuff (tens of thousands of product photos etc), searching them has become pain in the butt. It seems to deteriorate much the more stuff you got. These days showing only the most recently accessed files etc.
