It still is
All the Gorosei and Ancient Weapons correspond to a planet, except Garling
Who is the moon
Thematically it may be Koby. He radiates the suns light in darkness, he gives freedom even though he works for the marines
!theories @candid drum given that this channel is for longer theories, please use #manga-serious to discuss predictions like the one you mentioned about Zoro getting Reversi-ed. Let’s move any further discussion there.
@teal crane please ask questions like that in #manga-serious . It’s a better place to brainstorm an idea before posting it as a theory in this channel.
@nofish.o_o#0000 please don’t use !reaction commands here, it’s distracting and this channel’s for serious in-depth discussions on people’s theories.
Please refrain from using manga-theories for joke theories, casual chit-chat, power scaling, bounty predictions or low-effort memes. This channel is for serious discussion- please read the channel description. Posts here must be in paragraph form, preferably with evidence, not just a one line open question.

I think that the founding 20 kingdoms of the World Government will be based on several major historical powers in the real world. So far, we have Dressrosa, based on Spain, and Alabasta, based on Egypt. Just going off the names, the Shepherd family could be from a Britan based kingdom, likely the Rommel kingdom mentioned in Dressrosa. The Rimoshifu family is likely from a kingdom based on historical China, as Shifu is a Chinese title for "master". It's possible the Qilin fruit is meant to represent a sacred protector of the kingdom, similar to Yamato's fruit. The Nerona family could very well be from a Rome based kingdom, considering there are already some similarities with Imu and the emperor Nero. It would be very thematic having these kingdoms representing powers of the past fighting against a futuristic and advanced kingdom.
Yes sir. Absolutely! I agree!
@livid dock please use #manga for joke theories like that. Check the channel’s description for more details
watch my theory happen!!!
No it’s cyborg Frankie now
Nah pretty sure it's still the sunny cause we didn't get the new bountys from egghead I dont think
@terse lantern please discuss that in #manga-serious

Theory about Imu's akuma no mi
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/1l5bqgl/what_if_imus_fruit_is_the_akumu_no_mi_nightmare/
@dense shale Whether you truly believed that one-liner or not, please don't just bluntly state an arbitrary conclusion and expect others to do the guesswork for you to find the rationale that supports it. This channel only accepts theories that have evidence explained along with them
ok
https://youtu.be/0qkT0MdIqBk?si=RzNciGKVELYRECU7 guess what I found out one of the holy nights which is Gunko could be luffy's mom
Did you even read the rules here? Especially since you think Ohara's credible? Hell, go look at the comments of that vid.
PEOPLE, READ THE RULES FIRST. Sorry for minimodding, but the low effort shit theories piss me off.
Sorry I deleted it
Can we send YouTube links?
Not a mod, ask them.
It was originally from a theory I found on YouTube that was 7-10 minutes long before gear 5 happened
Lot of the theories he made also happened later on in the series that he predicted
it's perfectly fine to send youtube links here
aslong as they're high effort theories
Yeah this guy puts lots of efforts in his theories connects also the real life references to one piece as well and predicted a lot of theories that became true. In his past videos but he’s been inactive for 5 years so he hasn’t revised his treasure theory with the new updated info
He calls the one piece the fiery cross of goa
And he pretty much subtly predicted gear 5 in this video and this was around 7 years ago
I just wanted to state with some days of delay that all of the logia speculation aside, the cartoon eyes on Luffy’s enemy (namely Kaido’s shenanigans) are mostly a visual representation rather than having a narrative use. In the setting of Japanese animation throwing in classic American/western style tropes is mostly to break canons and walls to show how “free” his whole power is. I think seeing the cartoon eyes as “Luffy makes everyone able to be a cartoon” is such a weird take. I do enjoy a lot the idea of breaking media standards in illustrating and animating in such a way but that’s just an inking style approach, has nothing to do with the actual powers. Furthermore Imu doesn’t transform others in himself, he has a demonic pact situation going on and possessing Gunko is a far different thing from “transforming”. Your theory fails hugely when considering actual facts. We have seen zero logia-like application of either Luffy’s or Imu’s fruit. Idk what BB even has to do with all of this considering that Luffy’s fruit it’s “godhood” itself as you name it, it’s not a combination of anything

Ignore the cartoon point and instead focus on how Luffy turns his enemies into “himself”. Which is a canon. Luffy turns them into rubber. Which is what I meant mostly. Luffy being my able to expand that beyond touch and it being tied to logia awakening is not a wild jump. Second, we don’t know Luffy or Imu’s powers fully so anything is possible. There is not a single “fact” you can point that could make my theory implausible just from the mere fact that what I have said doesn’t contradict the story, it just adds to it. And since this is a fake story Oda can potentially add, get this, around infinite number of things to do the story.
And the BB part is just a fun idea of how BB can be trying to mimic this godhood by getting aspects of what their powers can do and combining them, which from what i explained I believe are logia, paramecia and zoan adjacent powers. I don’t remember all in the story so if there is actually anything I said that contracts what is currently canon, please let me know.
Examples of what I believe is Luffy turning them into himself
This is the “post theories with evidence” channel tho not the “post theories that cannot be implausible”. Just cause there’s no proof it cannot happen doesn’t mean that what you said had any fundamental proof of being possible either like, wtf?
Examples of Imu possibly (keyword) turning them into themselves are essentially all the demons. But of course we have seen contracts so we gotta wait.
Now as for Imu possessing Gunko, that’s what I love about this theory. They represent contrasting views. Luffy is freedom and Imu is captivity. Maybe all of this aspects of their powers go around this thematic
But it can be plausible. This is a fact. And I came up with the idea from the scenes I mentioned above (the manga)
Again, there’s many things that are plausible, asspulling random narrative lines doesn’t feel like the right approach for this channel, no?
Me going “hey Imu and Luffy have one power but it would be fun if it’s sort of a bundle of each fruit type” is not a wild jump idk what to tell you
You dictating what is a random asspull and what isn’t doesn’t feel like the right approach for this channel either, no?
I’m not dictating anything lmao, you said yourself there’s no evidence in what you’re saying and that “it would be fun”, while making not even much sense on the actual evidence that exists
Even going the distance in saying that logia awakening makes other people that element whilst we have evidence by far is environment related. So what if I now go and write a paragraph on how logia awakening makes the clouds the colour of their element? It plausible right? Same thing as what you’re doing
Correct. There is no concrete fact. If there was, I wouldn’t be in theories channel. I’m creating it based on:
- My headcanon that I formulated from the story (canon)
- Canon
- And a little bit of fun logic
Yeah I don’t have a problem with that at all. Go for it. I could never think I’m so critically intelligent beyond believe that the mere idea of somebody mentioning something I haven’t thought about before and could possibly not be true based on my own vision of the story, could make me respond to them is such a, I don’t know, weird way. There was such a tone in the way you approach dialogue it’s so icky for me. But hey if that’s who you are.
Next time tho, have a little fun, ask me to elaborate. Make me feel like you are trying to actually have a conversation with me, even if to dismiss my idea as complete nonsense, than just coming off as rude from the get go.
Or don’t. Ion think I would ever come back here so you got your wish lmao. You can stay with your “serious conversations”. I guess you won
Guys I believe that imu might be joyboy's and Lily's son, which explains his obsession with lily and vivi. Now since joyboy died beating 19 kings, so imu felt alone and tried to use black magic but imu instead got possessed by a demonic power, and imu is the name of evil spirit possessing joyboy's son. And he then created the 5 elders and so on.
Lemme know what u guys think of it
Ps since lily went missing so their son was looking for her mother, and entered the dark arts thing.
@light ivy why do u think it's a ❌? Or the other person
if imu is a demon why would it spend so much time and resources trying to rule the world in secret or care about the will of d or vivis family i think imu is an actual person that actually existed
Like in Naruto zetsu manipulated everyone
So I thought like that
Crocodile is joyboy we know he has a secret with ivankov we know his hook is special gold we only know one type of special gold and that’s from skypiea we don’t know where he comes from ore the kingdom he hails from and that is special only for him we know that for every other warlord we also don’t know his last name which is odd if we look at his jolly roger which symbolize the pirates themselves it has 2 rapiers which symbolize sir and people of nobility and we know his name is sir there is also wings which we don’t know how that connects to him ore do we he is a sandman he also destroyed the land so people couldn’t build on it the golden hook the dragon wing and him possibly having switched genders the thing we can associative him a sand and the land of elabasta with is skypiea which is why they were worshiped the giant snake and they were fighting with the shandorians they were fighting over the land now we know skypiea is based on aztec mythology so we can jump into that the aztecs believed there were 5 sun gods 5 worlds with each one of them having a different sun god ruling over (skypiea also foreshadowed the one piece world getting destroyed over and over which the holly texts confirm)now we go back to the wings skypiea has a statue of the quantacotal which was a feathered serpent the quantacotal was the god who was known as the savior of humanity who always looked to save humanity he parallels joyboy and if we look further into aztec mythology at the start of everything before the 5 worlds it had to be created somehow and that happened with quantacotal and tezcatlipoca which would bring the beginning of the world now we look at how the world started it started with a creature know as the cipactli the earth crocodile (crocodile is a sand man) this creature also had indefinite gender (ivankov) and this creature was named after a survivor of the flood that floated in a small boat and later populated the world that is a joyboy story
There is also a lot of other evidence to support this theory but I didn’t make this theory it’s from monkeydquel on tiktok this is that particular video https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMSfumfu7/
Imu is a demon he took over queen lillys body we have gotten a lot of hints about the abyss lately aka hell because it exists it’s the underworld
Hmm ig
His obsession with vivi is he needs a new body
Joyboy wanted to free people
And crocodile wanted to keep people under his control
Idt it makes semse
It could be truee
Well ig my theory got busted
He’s lost himself that’s the fun part he has how you can become what you hated most what you fought against he lost his memories because he got the immortality surgery done on him which I believe makes his brain immortal not his body so just like I’m he has to find a new body every time and he also the price to be immortal must be quite hefty like per say losing your memories and look at crocodiles scar on his face that will make sense
Crocodile was present during Roger's execution
It would only make sense if there was an open opennomi user who transferred joyboy soul into crocodile body and also erased his memory
And his scar is near the nose not brain.
Yes a hole big enough for the brain to fit if not what would that scar be than what could have caused it?
Every time he gets a new body his losing himself he is becoming everything he sought out to beat
A battle with a strong opponent ig or a type of surgery
I would have given the mind swapping thing a shot if it were around forehead like kenjaku for eg
If this was to be the case why did roger laughed at laughtale ?
Wdym?Elaborate
Let's assume joyboy left a message there telling everyone about this condition and asking for a solution
Why would roger laugh then he should have shown probably a worried reaction no?.
Why would roger disband the crew?
Who transfers joyboy's brain everytime if he has no idea of his past identity?
Why do you assume that he left a message telling people about his condition if you look at what dr vega punk said you’d know the void century got flooded I believe the message joyboy left behind was only that what happened during the void century and imu and than since roger knew there was no joy boy at the current time he inspired others to set out to sea because without joy boy he knew no one would be able to stop imu (im cooking
)
But then who transfers the brain everytime and who removes the memories?
I'm sorry I know what I need to look at the rules and sometimes I just forget and I won't happen again but that's an interesting theory that I ever do but you know I understand how you feel sometimes you know some people don't necessarily like the same stuff that I watch sometimes you know and understand that @shadow portal 👍 but you don't need to get bent out of shape about it either I'm sorry for saying that but I just trying to make you realize my theory is that I'm interested in to
My theory is he makes his brain gain sentience
Lolll
That’s the real kicker he forgets his memories but his brain is sentient he knows he is “special” and as a pirate like a warlord he could gain the knowledge and connect the dots
That's all agreed but who changed his bodies last time
Before crocodile who was his host?
Well we don’t know but we also saw a ship falling down from the sky near the skypiea arc a dead man’s skull was shown on the paper matching crocodiles features
I am willing to go with brain hopping story but I don't think it will be crocodile cus for brain hopping you need to cut forehead not half the face and if I were to make someone joyboy then that would be either the man marked by flames or that eye patches pirate which is supposed to make an entrance in the end
I mean he never stated that the pirate with the eyepatch will be of importance but why does the scar specifically have to be on the forehead?
Because you are saying brain is being changed and it is present in the forehead region
No not really it’s not only apart of your brain is located behind your forehead region specifically the frontal lobe
Dude mainly it is done at forehead
I'll send u some pics of characters who done brain changing
Yeah but I don’t see a reason for it not to be done under the eyes especially since the brain is immortal and the body is temporary and that would make switching body’s easier
Nope
Ok
In Chapter 1138, the Elbaf Arc introduces the "Harley texts," ancient writings describing a "serpent of hellfire" and an "earth god" that shrouded the world in death and darkness, preventing people from meeting. Many interpret the "serpent of hellfire" as a metaphor for the Red Line, drawing parallels to Norse mythology's Jörmungandr—the world-encircling serpent—and the Egyptian symbol of the Ouroboros, often depicted as a red serpent. This association suggests that the Red Line was intentionally created to divide the world .
One prevalent theory suggests that the Red Line was constructed by the World Government, possibly with the forced labor of ancient giants. These giants, after completing the construction, may have perished, leaving the Red Line as a lasting symbol of oppression. The destruction of the Red Line is believed to symbolize the liberation of these giants' souls and the dismantling of the World Government's control
Some theories propose that the Great Kingdom, a highly advanced civilization from the Void Century, lies hidden beneath the Red Line, possibly beneath Mariejois. This kingdom's technology and knowledge are believed to be preserved and concealed by the World Government, awaiting a time when they can be revealed to the world .
These theories intertwine mythology, history, and the overarching narrative of One Piece, suggesting that the Red Line's destruction is pivotal to the series' conclusion.
Well Oars was called " The Continent Puller "
There is also the possibility that the red line was constructed with Pluton, who seems to be an Earth shaping Ancient Weapon

Because if you look at the way the world was constructed, there is a possibility that everything was set up by the ancient kingdom and joy boy. Placing Laugh tale at the end of the road , surrounded by Calm belt, is kinda a way to " pave a path " for someone to reach the one piece at a certain time.
So maybe plutot and poseidon have been used to shape the current of calm belt and the red line
I disagree the red serpent wasn’t created to destroy the world I think it got defeated and now the red line are it’s remains
Ok I finally finished my theory on Black Blades. Please be gentle with me
A black can turn black with 2 things.
-
It has to be a cursed blade, regular blades don't cut it. Something about how they're produced.
-
The will of the user has to align with the will of the blade. Again something done through production but also use/growth of the users Haki which is the users will.
My theory would explain Zoro's current swords and why Oden couldn't turn Enma black
So I'll start with Zoro's swords;
Wado Ichimonji - Shimotsuki Kozaburo, the sword of his friend who he had a promise with to become the best swordsman, gained after her death. Still has in his possession.
2 non named, not specified as cursed blade Katana's - Broke during Mikhawk's first encounter with Zoro.
Yubashiri - Creator not specified, Skilful blade, Non cursed sword. Rusted
Sandai Kitetsu - Kouzuki Sukiyaki inspired by the kitetsu school, Cursed Blade, Still has, Zoro described as hard to master, said to bring misfortune to those who use it. Was originally refused to Zoro and he gained it after it missed his arm.
Shusui - non named creator, Black Blade of a legendary samurai, from the zombie corpse of previous wielder. Ancestor of Zoro.
Extra info: Ryuma had a belief that the sword is the swordsman.
He also believed that there was a "King" and this King must hold a great "Warrior's Soul" which turned out to be himself.
Ryuma possessed "Ryuo", another term for Armament Haki in Wano. After several battles wielding Shusui, he was able to use this Haki to forge it into a permanent Black Blade.
Seppuku blade - not even going to comment on.
Scyth - Again not even worth a word by now.
Enma - Shimotsuki Kozaburo, was Odens blade, Extremely potent with a will of it's own.
The swords tells us a lot non cursed swords break. So look at the 3 Zoro currently has.
Wado Ichimonji - Shimotsuki Kozaburo
Sandai Kitetsu - Kouzuki Sukiyaki an immetation of the Kittesu school
Enma - Shimotsuki Kozaburo
Two of the swords have the same creator and the other is an imitation of an older style.
Looking at these blade I can predict when two of them will turn black.
Wado Ichimonji - Although they shared the same goal, the sword wasn't originally his, so this one will turn black once he becomes the strongest swordsman, when his will and the original swords wielders will are victorious.
Sandai Kitetsu - When Zoro defeats Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro. The sword Zoro has is an imitation of the type Nusjuro uses. So to blacken that blade you have to prove the will of the smith, that the imitation is actually as good as the original thing.
Enma - This one still has me thinking, because this was Odens sword and was his will to defeat Kaido? Bring the dawn? Opening the boarders? The will of Oden is still a little vague. If it was to bring down Kaido it could mean that the requirement to fulfil has been achieved already so now Zoro just needs to match the will of Oden by mastering his style? Also it wasn't given to him by Oden but by Hiyori so would that play into it?
Although, I have a belief that if it's to bring the dawn then it has to be in a fight against darkness i.e Black beards crew.
To reach those points those Zoro needs to grow his Haki, this is why Enma was last in the story to reach him story telling wise, because that's the piece that is helping put it together for Zoro forcing him to master his Haki.
How do we know they will turn black after fighting with Haki?
We look at Monsters, Ryuma and the blade Shusui. I'll bring back the point from earlier. Ryuma possessed Ryuo. After several battles wielding Shusui, he was able to use this Haki to forge it into a permanent Black Blade."
Ryuma was also known as "King" for having a Warriors soul.
We already know Haki is the persons ability to use their willpower.
This would also explain why Oden couldn't turn the Blade black, he never achieved his will and therefor his will was not strong enough, he passed it down to the next generation.
Swords have been shown to have a will of their own too, but I believe this is partly the will of the original user/creator. Wado Ichimonji has the will of Kuina.
Sandai Kitetsu has the will of the Sukiyaki to make something as good as the original.
Enma has the will of Oden and Oden was a very strong willed person so that is why Enma acts up so much when he got it, it's the strongest will to content with
The Sandai was implied to have it's own will when it chose Zoro
And Enma is directly stated
And it's a little odd 2 of them, are made by a smith that illegally moved from Wano to east blue so I hope we learn more about him eventually.
I'll say this too to end on because I just thought about it, it would also explain why people complain we don't get enough zoro past story, and that would be because Zoro's story is told through his swords. Like Ryuma said a sword is the swordsman. So it's genuis story telling that all his story is actually being told through the blades, just hidden in plain sight.
I don't think anyone's thought of this but maybe the reason BB has 2-3 devil fruits - and therefore maybe having 3 souls, which might not be related because the whole idea of a devil fruit affecting the soul might be a false theory some people hold in OP -would be that, like Zoro, he has asura? No one ever thinks about that but it's possible. Another thing - there's a lot of evidence Luffy's nika abilities are connected to various parts of his real world ethnicity which is brazilian, so maybe BB's third devil fruit is a mythical zoan based off history and myths from Somalian culture which comes from his ethnicity. It'd have to tie together to be powerful enough to counter Luffy's fully mastered nika abilities as well as his haki - which alongside the various themes of their characters gives us a starting point to figure out what BB's third fruit is.
Do y'all think Imu is left handed? I saw in cahpter 1150 that the hand she uses to control the domi reversi is her left hand. It would make sense considering the left hand has historically been viewed as the hand of the devil. While I'm at it, I also noticed when she spawned the big flintlock from a grimoire, there was also a dagger that she grabbed before hand. No idea what she did what that.
Brodie's someone on tiktok keeps saying crocodile is joyboy because of the stitches on he's face because of the "immortal surgery" and how it works by keeping Ur brain but changing the body and everytime they switch he looses personality while I do agree with how the surgery works crodile being joyboy is faaaar fetched in my opinion
MonkeyDquell is the tiktok if u wanna check out he's theories but everyone agrees with he's theories but they're so far fetched
the new power lufy used to identfy chopper falling is the voice of all things, which he'll use to somehow interact with the bond between imu and the sacred knights removing the immortality.. also i think hell be able to speak with joyboy thorugh the devil fruit
This may have been said already: Imu is constructing the bridges to create a pentagram shape across the whole globe
I have heard this theory. I think there could be something to symbolism and imu powers. Reminds me of wandavision and enhancing power and range with runes and symbols l.
Yeah symbols play a huge role in the story imo, agreed. Luffy will defend a pirate flag with his body because what it represents means so much to him. I’ve been puzzling over the bridges for ages and this is my first theory about them
this sounds like it would be directly copying another anime and its antagonist.
My preference is that the world of One Piece is a dyson sphere, personally, rather than what I said above
what
We’re in a post apocalypse of a hyper advanced civilization. The planets in the solar system orbit the planet of One Piece, and it’s much larger than any of the other planets by a good margin. Creating a habitable planet around a star that would give near limitless energy when so many devil fruits are perfect for terraforming made sense to me
Is there any real evidence to suggest this?
I agree there used to be advance technology in the one piece world but the technology you are suggesting is way beyond the level that we’ve seen or been told about. From the Harley texts it seems that the peak of human civilization involved finally mining deep into the planets crust and or space flight but failed and had to return. The level of technology you are speaking of would require 10s of thousands of years to accomplish and an insane amount of resources. Suns are also insanely big. And the size of the one piece planet is no where near the size of a sun. If anything the one piece world is at most 2x as big as earth.
Also that’s beyond a Dyson sphere. A Dyson sphere just harvests the energy from a star. What you are describing is completely covering a star in rock and building a world on top of it which would require even more advanced technology and probably wouldn’t even be possible due to radiation and the sheer amount of heat.
Even if it was a Dyson sphere where would all that energy go? Dyson spheres are designed to support entire solar systems and beyond not a singular planet. Also if this were true you’d think there would be more extraterrestrial threats on the blue planet because we have seen space pirates before harvesting the remains of the moon. If aliens exist in op they would surely want to take the power of a Dyson spheres
I can't post pictures but my inspiration started in Ohara when we see the orbital planets. In terms of scale, the planet of One Piece is way, way bigger. Also we know that the ancient civilization figured out how to make infinite energy long ago - Enel as the current holder of the lightning fruit seemingly has no limit to how much he can produce. The forest vice admiral seemingly has no end to how much forest he can produce. They were at the technological level where it looks like magic
None of that supports either of your thesis nor have anything to do with them.
The objects surrounding the blue planet can be thought of as planets or moons. I think what oda was trying to represent in the scene with the model on Ohara was the old Greek model of geocentrism where the universe revolved around earth.
I’m decently sure people have taken words that oda has said about alabasta being a certain size that we can measure and maps that we’ve seen with alabasta on it and getting a rough idea of how large the planet is and it not that much bigger than earth.
The ancient kingdom was able to make a full mother flame not a part of it like we’ve seen in the present. We don’t know how they made it but judging by the mural it involved taking resources from the earth whether it be magic related or some special mineral deep in the crust. From the mural to me it either symbolizes gathering what is akin to uranium or other radioactive materials for energy or harvesting souls in some way to make the mother flame.
Devil fruit users powers rely on their stamina and will to fight. Logia’s can make as much of their element as they can handle but like every other person they eventually get tired and need to stop or their output becomes weaker. It’s not as if Enel could create a lightning ball the size of the entire planet. Same goes for Aramaki.
afaik Oda has actually never confirmed the size of the planet, interestingly. Thus we have no officially confirmed size of the planet. I agree that the model evokes the geocentric model, but curiously has no sun in their model that I can see. I believe officially the One Piece world only has one moon, so the others in that model should be other planets and look as such

You two really just ignored the bot?
TL;DR: Mother Flame is the core, Reverse Mountain is the pump
The original Mother Flame might have been the actual core of the planet itself, with Reverse Mountain being made to suck water in and pump it into the core as a cooling mechanism
like this, but bigger
theres also this which i just remembered might fit with this interpretation, at least the core part
are the pepole who move this power reference to the slave

ok well here is paragraph form:
During the Marineford War, Akainu suffers massive blows, including a devastating hit from Whitebeard that should’ve either killed him or crippled him permanently. Yet, not long after, he becomes Fleet Admiral with seemingly no lasting damage.
Later, in his battle with Aokiji for the admiral position, Kuzan loses a leg, but Akainu again walks away with no visible injuries, despite the fact that their powers should have clashed violently.
This level of damage resistance goes beyond a Logia fruit , especially considering even Logia users like Ace and Sabo have suffered serious injuries.
Blackbeard also seems to have similar powers as well. He is obsessed with secrets and power so my guess is he also found out how Imu is able to regenerate and heal his vessels which explains why he doesn't also die.
Gaban's Haki not only will help luffy defeat holy knights but that will also come into play with blackbeard
how many permanent injuries do luffy and zoro have right now?
luffy has the one from stabbing his face and the one he got when he lost ace, and im pretty sure zoro only has the one from mihawk
characters more often than not do not get any permanent visible injuries
So doesn’t that prove my point ?
a right hook from white beard + kuzan fight you’d think there would be something. Blackbeard literally been stabbed and cut so many times. @hearty charm
luffy like you said has scars
Zoro has eye
Kuzan has lost leg
Akainu and Blackbeard no visible damage? After all they went through? Idk. I think the haki luffy learns from gaban will help him in his fight against Blackbeard especially because right now doesn’t seem like black beard gets hurt.
I was reading on the internet that more would be known about Shanks and his broken arm.
Am I wrong or is it fake?
U will know everything with time dont rush
Obv but I thought it was a chapter thing or anyway that it would be known soon. I just wanted to know more about it on the theory\leak
I honestly don't remember where I read that

Theory confirmed: shanks did lose his arm on purpose, if he didn't he would've been summoned like the holy nights without any control of it. Last chapter showed he had the mark in that arm!!!
||!!ELBAPH SPOILERS!! Ok, I have one that might be big, but it could also be wrong. What if Chief Jarul is the traitor we have been searching for this whole time. throughout this whole arc, we have been wondering why Loki is locked up the way he is, especially if we do not know the whole story. and with the latest chapter I have a rough estimate on why that might be. so in this latest chapter we see King Herald being killed by his own guards. to me this leaves two possibilities to what could have caused them to go to such lengths. #1: Alienation/mutiny. this is likely but would not explain why Herald called Loki and Jarul into his chambers. #2: Outside influence. This would explain the suddenness of the situation, Plus with Loki there, the whole thing could be blamed on him. What Jarul did not count on was Loki being able to kill all 113 of the guards and damage Jarul before Shanks and Gyaban stepped in. But even with Loki alive and imprisoned, the narrative could be spun so that Loki was the one to kill Herald. Making Loki (and violence) enemy #1 in the eyes of Elbaph. Jarul being the traitor also explains why Elbaph as a whole is moving towards an era of peace as Jarul is the elder who is spearheading that movement. this is probably because the WG wanted to soften up the giants to make them easier to liberate and defeat. I also believe he also worked with Mother Caramel and the WG in that sense to find suitable fighters for Cipher Pol. Letting them stay on the island for so long even after Big Mom started terrorizing the inhabitants.||
this is a manga channel dont worry lol
technically not confirmed but id say heavily implied
Fruit in the castle isn’t the Gum Gum fruit. Luffy ate the fruit at age 7 and the events of Harald’s death take place when he is 5. Unless the Navy took the fruit and sailed around with it for 2 years before Shanks reclaimed it, I’d highly doubt it with its infamy among Imu and the 5 elders
I think it’s implied that the fruit is what Loki calls the sun god fruit, which he hate, probably in subsequently of the chest being shown in the panel. It serves as build up to reveal his actual powers
i do a search about shanks'tatoo and i find that is a logo of a book talk about magic
it could be a reference to imu and it could transform the celistis dragon to another form
I didn’t know, with it being the latest chapter and all
Startin to think Mosa might be Hajrudins mom
I have my reasons for this, but I'm not gonna elaborate on this here, I just wanna say it now in case it turns out to be correct
Is your life in danger if you share said information or?
as long as its in #announcements its fine to talk about
no, im just not in the mood to write the whole thing, also not that confident in it being "her and nobody else"
Lemme know when you got it written down because I’m definitely interested!
hmmm okay fine, since youre intrigued
now there's not exactly that much pointing to Mosa specifically being Harjudins mom (which is why I'm not like banking this as a certainty), but I think there are some realistic ways the story could go that would justify it being her
For starters, theres the idea some people have brought up where they say Mosa might be held as a bargaining chip to make Harald comply with the WG. To me, that at least screams one of Haralds wives to me, and out of both of his wives, I think the one who wasnt outright declared dead is the more likely of the two
The reasons I think it would fit the story for it to be Harjudins mom:
- I believe Harald stopped being a jerk due to the love of a peaceloving woman, which Mosa seems to be (as in Loki giving us the impression that Mosa is meek and a coward)
- She would know Haralds jerkass past and therefore see some of Haralds tendencies in Loki given how similar Loki and young Harald are
- it would challenge his views on outsiders and of Harjudin (whether directly confronted by the reveal or only left to the audience)
I was gonna include stuff about her possibly being "a woman older than Jarul" but I realized that part wouldnt add up unless shes like Haralds mom/grandma
but yeah so now my Mosa candidates are 1. Harjudins mom, 2. Lola, 3. Man marked by flames
Mommy Mosa ftw tho
also i came up with a theorey. right now zoro needs to defeat mihawk to become the strongest swordsman. but why would they start fighting. it wont be something dumb like i challenge you so lets fight. i think its going to be zoros last fight. the reason i think mihawk could go against zoro is i think mihawk also has abyss mar. correct me if im wong but mihawk was never shown half naked. he dresses so elegent like holy knight level. he has the same eyes as imu. so in a battle imu could take control of mihawk and make him go against zoro. in recent chapters it was confirmed that you need good control of conquerors haki to cut celestial dragons. where zoro comes in which his conquerors haki use is mentioned in wano even tho not precisely trained. so what i thought was zoro would you conquerors haki to cut mihawks abyss symbol just like shanks because i dont think mihawk is a bad guy who would go against zoro, but what if he is forced to have that mark. ok so zoro cuts the mark which liberates mihawk and out of respect mihawk fights a real duel and loses.
lowkey this would kind of make sense as to explain why mihawk never taught zoro how to use coc, maybe he wasn’t allowed to because that would basically be teaching his future enemy his only weakness
Before I disappeared I left a theory on this server that Shanks had a twin brother it was months ago almost a year ago and now I come back to find in the manga that Shanks has a twin brother my theory was right after all
I’m pretty sure I saw it I remember that theory being propagated last year
ALMOST EVERYONE HERE ON CHAT AGREED WITH WHAT I SAID IT WAS A CRAZY THEORY it was 700 WORDS
Interesting. It pairs well with the most recent chapter ending where Harald peeks into that woman’s room near the final panels. Maybe a lady checks him HARD and he goes “damn that chick is impressive.”
Crazy how I always knew that Shanks cut of his arm for a reason and I knew it was related to a mark I just knew
guys what is the df in elbaph is the nika fruit which shanks will take with a switcheroo because of which loki and shanks fight
Here’s my theory, which should imo be considered true: Kaido is technically the weakest emperor at full power. Linlin with full power and full haki is just a little stronger than him. Based on old newgates feats, he definitely beats both of them, yes with high-ext difficulty. Now shanks is a little stronger than prime xebec and here’s why: Shanks has bcoc (joyboy tier haki). Now why wouldn’t the strongest pirate have the greatest haki? If shanks had a kaido strong body, he couldn’t have such haki because Kaido is weak compared to the absolute God tiers(such as shanks, shamrock, imu, joyboy, nika, mihawk, maybe xebec, i wont include featless dragon). Shanks needs an extremely powerful body to have such strong haki. Therefore, shanks>=xebec(it took 2 guys without the bcoc to take down xebec). Luffy is nowhere near close enough when u take all that into consideration. A LOT of training is still needed.
Nah how would a government ship have gotten the fruit then
then maybe once the holy knights took it shanks stole it from there? but then there is teleportation
yeah thats what I think will happen as well
somethings gonna make Harald change and its either gonna be through force, tragedy or love
Everyone needs a strong partner in their life to keep them check and focused on the greater good (selling the giants to Imu). Thanks for the theory! I am very curious where the Mosa & the flashback story lines are going.
agreed
Im sorry if this is short but maybe the towers on drum island are drums of some sort. I mean the people were freed/healed from the "sickness of the mind"
Imu will die by the end of Elbaf
- main antagonist of the arc manipulates the good king,
- flashback of how he betrayed the king,
- mary geoise is being raided, BB has saturn's appearance (Katarina),
- dragon attacking the holy land,
- Harald becoming king at 15 (human years) is a reference to Charles XII of Sweden, and his death too.
- Both were revered as gods, and believed only in the lord (Nika),
- shanks has been mentioned many times: loki, shamrock, luffy, gaban... he sacrificed his arm to get rid of the abyss mark (seawater/his haki stopped regen),
- shanks will fight the WG now
- it is confirmed that time perception on elbaf is 2.5-3.3 times slower (Gaban thought 3-4 years had passed instead of 10),
- by the end of elbaf, major figures will be dead,
CONCLUSION: LUFFY-SHANKS REUNION, IMU's DEATH, BB KING OF THE WORLD WITH IMU'S FRUIT AFTER ELBAF
Crazy how I used to go crazy on this server dropping the hardest theories now I'm busy studying I barley know what's happening in the manga
I'll be honest emu dying by the end of elbaf part makes zero sense
Not really since mary geoise is currently under siege, so its a possibility.
Did any body notice Harold horns when he got killed? It was almost like he never broke them. But we know he broke them way long before his death. Which means he was acting like dorry and broggy when the became demons and gained horns
that was his mustache not horns
He doesn't have horns then. Its the pointy shoulders of his cape
Random theory about Loki’s Devil Fruit.
Kaido is 710 cm or about 23 feet tall. Adult Momonosuke is 322 cm or about 10 1/2 feet tall. However, their full dragon forms are about the same length/height. The fruits are an exact replica except for the color which leads me to believe that at least Zoan devil fruits have some genetic default size. Otherwise it would be strange that these two people with a ten foot height gap have the same sized full form.
This likely goes both ways, as in a extremely tall person’s Zoan form would be the same size as a shorter person. This could mean that Loki’s df may allow him to become substantially smaller.
This is probably just a crack theory, but I’d like to hear anyone else’s thoughts
@slate burrow you would like this one
Interesting, would you expand more on this?
I think he's Charles XII from Sweden. Both kings at 15, revered as gods and believing in God (Nika). Strong wills and brutal. His death was ambiguous and some believe he was betrayed. Tbh oda might just have mixed a few kings
I have thought it now
Mihawk also has an arm tattoo and is a former member of the holy knights like Shanks
he says Shanks is half a man because he is no longer immortal so now they cannot fight how they used to
If he has to join this will be the case. I doubt oda is going to give him an awesome power, it’s probably going to be something rodiculous because the fruit got swapped when cp0 stole the nika fruit. Btw axolotl fruit “eaten” by Caesars gas produced a gigantic axolotl, while most fruits produced an average sized version of their animals despite some users being enormous (queen and jack). Also Pell here seems to be using a human sized hawk animal form. I think it’s more a plot thing and Odas convenience than something set in stone. He has been pretty loose lately with zoans, Black Maria and Killingham for example divert from the human, hybrid and full animal forms standard.
i dont think zoans make you smaller, like with pell for example

It doesn't go against the channel description. Theorizing about a character's inspiration can be useful for manga theories
I apologize, please go ahead and give me the mute i deserve
Depends on what type of zoan I guess? But at the very least, his half beast form would still be huge
If it's something weird like Model tontata, I can see it make him small
I respect the vision
I have theory that Time runs slow in Elbaf
In chapter #1152 it's revealed that Gaban & shanks were together for almost 10 years after Roger past
Shanks said to Gaban "How long it's been 2-3 years "
Gaban said "Get real! It's been 10 years since Captain died"
I have one more example
•Imu became angry on Holy knights that they are taking too long to complete there mission but as much we have seen they have just arrived .
doesnt cavendish have the imu eyes as well
i have an ancient kingdom name theory does anybody wanna hear it
Ironically he had like a demon take over his body toi
Bro really tagged me in a post from 4 months ago, i guess that convo has been living rent free in your head this whole time. 🤣 congrats i guess? Although you should maybe wait until loki actually joins the crew before taking your victory lap.
See my theory 😡
oh im just petty like that, but nah its happening 🙏
i just searched up anybody who disagreed with my take
what was the take
loki becoming a strawhat
yea u got it
just wanna add that he won’t need to fit on the ship if he’s a bird
So we finally have our final member
I have a theory about usopp, so you know how imu is turning giants in to evil ones and the rules are like a board game so my theory is that usopp will be playing against imu and be controlling/telling luffy what to do, I think after this cuz usopp is very smart and is probably good at board games abd after this usopp might take the role of being a strategist (tho it probably won’t work cuz luffy)
If there were rules or structure I’d agree but that isn’t the case right now. He may figure out the secret to Reversi the fastest and tell the rest of the crew about it
Yea definitely
Given that your answer said “it’ll be revealed in ch1185”, I’m going to take that as a joke and delete it for now. You’re welcome to share your thoughts on it (and the relevant goroawase I guess) here, but one-liners isn’t what this channel is for. So please elaborate and give some evidence/reasoning so people can engage with it.
My theory for 4th poneglyph:
- Roger found the 4th one on Fishman Island but it disappeared
was just a apology letter from joyboy they found - Never Wrong Fortune teller mermaid in Hordy arc who said luffy will destroy everything In fishman island
-Speculation: the poneglyph is buried somewhere deep in fishman island
and luffy will have to find it by destroying parts of fishman island due to some fight/search(and relocating the people etc)
Isn’t it with the Man Marked by Flames?
Yes he might tell luffy or whoever
to find it by crushing Fishman island
luffy never destroys a town for himself
so he would only do it if the 4th poneglyph is there
or someone tells him to
The reasoning I’ve normally seen for FMI getting destroyed is it’s due to the SHs destroying the Red Line. Given that we haven’t gotten any confirmation that the Man Marked By Flames has the physical road poneglyph with him, it’s possible you’re right and they buried it at FMI. Just hard to see it imo with the bias I have atm
ya but I am basing is it on the
Fortune teller never being Wrong
Also I feel like ODA reads the theores alot of which we post
and he hasn't exactly decided yet how will that come in action
But I am pretty sure he wont let the most popular theory(FMI destroyed)
come in place
Yeah it’s getting destroyed no matter what. Regardless of the reason I agree if he has time he’ll attempt to replicate the citizens
I highly doubt it’s happening directly and literally. Maybe it’s going to be something like fishman island floating up to the surface or something like that
For your first point, I think it’s supposed to be the other way around - Shanks was the one that said “it’s been 10 years!”
The crux that makes me not believe there’s a time lag is Oimo’s and Kashi’s dialogue from Enies Lobby (ch384). They say that Dorry and Broggy started their duel 100 years ago. They waited at Elbaf for 50 years before setting sail to find their captains. This was when they ended up getting captured by Marines. Finally, they say “it’s been 50 years”, indicating 50 years have elapsed since they were caught. So to sum, to Dorry&Broggy it’s been 100 years out of Elbaf, and Oimo&Kashi felt the same amount of time go by with half of that time being while they were in Elbaf. There is no apparent time lag.
Why did Gaban say “has it only been 2-3 years”? Probably because he’s old. Why did Imu get angry at the holy knights? Maybe it’s because they treated this like a game and it took longer than expected. I admit both of these reasonings are just interpretations/headcanon, but it’s easier to digest compared to believing that the entire island experiences time differently.
I would like to point out that it would be the other way around. If time is slower on elbaph, for imu it would be a day and in elbaph for example a minute. Time would need to go faster in elbaph for imus case, but slower to explain shanks and gaban interaction.
could it just be time blindness in general? Gyaban couldnt tell how many years exactly it's been and kind of said it like a guess and it seems his perception of time is much slower compared to whats outside of elbaph. Similarly the holy knights felt they were there for less than a day but maybe outside a significant amount of time actually passed. The only thing is I wouldn't know how they can't notice multiple days go by because it seems that it's been day time since they arrived at elbaph
I have one more point.
We know that Elbaf is based on Norsse mythology there's a tree called Yggdrasil which connects all the 9 realms .
Time runs slower in Elbaf due to the presence of an ancient, cosmic tree known as the Yggdrasil Core, a divine entity whose roots anchor Elbaf to a primordial layer of the world that exists closer to the "Time Flow Source" of the planet. This tree did not grow toward the sky, but instead downward—its roots plunged into the core of the Earth, tapping into the “Heart of Gaia”, a primordial energy source.
This immense, gravitational energy distorts space-time, much like how black holes do in real physics. While invisible to the naked eye, the energy field affects the flow of time in the surrounding area.
As with Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity, time moves slower near massive gravitational fields. Elbaf's proximity to the “Heart of Gaia,” channeled through the Yggdrasil Core, means its gravity is subtly higher—even if not physically noticeable. This localized gravitational field slows time, resulting in what scientists call gravitational time dilation.
For every year that passes in the outside world, only about 9–10 months pass in Elbaf.
This could explain why:
Giants age slower and live longer.
Ancient customs and culture are better preserved.
Time in Elbaf seems disconnected from global events—wars, regime changes, and eras pass quickly outside, but Elbaf remains timeless
The Sun God Nika is said to be closest to Elbaf’s sun during its solstice. The legend goes, “The gods rested longer in Elbaf than anywhere else,” symbolizing the slower passage of time.
Nobody denies there is a wealth of Norse mythology Oda could be using in this arc. This “heart of Gaia” could very well be what the Heaven realm is hiding from us and is why nobody’s discussed what’s up there yet. Overall a very cool concept with lots of implications, but it’s still hard for me to accept given what I’ve mentioned before.
Could you tell me where you saw “the gods rested on Elbaf more than anywhere else”? Also how does this explain the longevity of giants from other giant colonies (such as Saul)?
What do you mean by longevity of giants????
As in Saul wasn’t born in Elbaf, so he he was born somewhere in the south blue. But right now in-story he’s 127 years old (105 when he met Robin).
You said giants age slower and live longer in Elbaf. Just trying to make sense of that
So is there any problem in that
Not only Giants but everything will age slower in Elbaf ,
Okay, so is it correct to say you’re not trying to use time dilation to explain why giants live 300-400 years. Rather, all giants can live 300-400 years, but they live for a bit longer in Elbaf because of the time dilation. Is that accurate?
Well we even has one proof
Last time when we saw Saul in Ohara if compared to now
There are not much changes there , also it's not like they will live bit long if they are in Elbaf , according to Elbaf they will live about 300(average)
I’d respond to that by arguing 1. Shanks looks the same as he did 13 years ago and 2. to giants, 20 years isn’t enough to get “old”.
So just to close the loop on this, is it your opinion that if a giant was born and lived away from Elbaf, their lifespan is basically the same as humans?
Well not equivalent to a human but I'd say that compared to a giants who is living in Elbaf will be short
Could you quantify it? A ballpark estimate
It's quite difficult tho
Like take an example that a giant who is living outside elbaf died at the age of 350 and that giant has a twin brother who is living in elbaf that giant did also died at 365 but they almost looks same
Even after there's a difference between 15 years
And the age groups are just randomly the real numbers might me more less if estimated
Okay that’s good. Generally when I hear time dilation theories they follow up with the concept that if Giants were outside of Elbaf, they would age in human years (up to 140 years old). This obviously isn’t what you’re saying here, in fact it seems like the time dilation you’re suggesting really only gives them an extra 5-15 years if they were parked in Elbaf their entire life. Pretty negligible
I don't even think 15 years probably like 10 years would be maximum but ageing and time lag are actually different thing which make things more messed up
So i don't think taking example of ageing would be good instead the things and the atmospheric changes that are happening would be much better
If time is slowing down, it’s stranger to think it’s being selectively applied….But sure I’ll consider the time dilation in that manner and put this whole “giant longevity” aside
what if luffy makes air into rubber, he can grab and do damage like whitebeard level
Luffy turning air into rubber so he can grab it, stretch through it, or even punch through the air itself with enough force to cause shockwaves — something like Whitebeard’s Gura Gura no Mi (Quake-Quake Fruit).
Since the reveal in Wano that Luffy's fruit is mythical Zoan (Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika) — and not a Paramecia — he's basically using cartoon-like freedom in battle. He can bend reality to an extent.
So, based on that:
Yes, it’s plausible within the limits of Luffy's awakening to turn air into rubber — because his power lets him manipulate his environment like rubber (e.g., bouncing lightning, punching through air).
We saw in Gear 5 that he grabbed lightning and even inflated the ground — meaning he’s no longer limited to just his own body.
How do you explain Dorry and Brogy aging normally on Little Garden
Whitebeard’s power created literal shockwaves that could destroy islands and even tilt the sea and sky — it was on a world-breaking scale.
For Luffy to match that:
He’d need to turn air into rubber, then use it to create massive elastic recoil or compressed shock attacks.
He could maybe do a "Gomu Gomu no Quake" style move where he snaps air like a slingshot to generate a shockwave.
The time dilation is negligible, as according to him they only live 10 years longer if on Elbaf
well there is also the whole gaban thing, i think it’d be more accurate if time only moved slower up in the heaven realm, would line up to the mythology too since time moves differently depending on what realm of yggdrasil youre in
I feel as though a lot of time theories with Elbaph feel contrived right now. I don’t think the way Gaban talks confirms there’s time shenanigans going on, and I see people use this to justify the Straw Hats spending less time in Elbaph or like 2 years. And I cannot imagine years passing before the stories end
Plus this never accounts for Big Mom and others. I just don’t think people should be treating this theories as a given right now
Okay actually I just looked at the official translation of the chapter where Gaban mentions the time stuff.
At the very least I am a firm believer Elbaph will not be years long or anything in universe. Specifically I think Luffy will be 19 still when he finds One Piece and stuff. I think that’s important
Roger died at 53 and Reyleigh is a similar age to Roger (so Gaban probably is too). It’s been 24 years since. If time moves slower in Elbaph then Gaban should only have aged 8 years. If he’s supposed to be aging faster then he should probably be dead because he’s in his late 70s if time is normal
I’m mentioning the different time passages because I’ve seen multiple contradictory takes on how the time would work. I just don’t see it as possible
been saying this since the kuma arc and I called it, Roger told Shanks about where he was really from and the joyboy stuff and that shanks is paving the way for Luffy/new joyboy
The thing that’s weird about that is current chapter when Gaban refers to Shanks as a “child of destiny”, unless you believe that’s something different.
The timeline of events would be:
- Roger tells Shanks the truth after Laugh Tale and Shanks cries
- Gaban randomly is still bringing up that Shanks is destined even though Shanks literally does not have the fruit or anything
- Shanks goes all in on Luffy
I was with you on this theory too. But also Shanks gave up on his dreams at Roger’s execution, and even says this chapter he wanted a peaceful pirate life with Buggy (happy pride y’all). So why would he be the child of destiny and give up, then suddenly lock in so hard before meeting Luffy?
child of destiny meaning he has a responsibility to make sure things go the right way and that he has to make sure the DF is safe for the next joyboy
so he has a set path that he has to follow and messing around being a silly pirate like buggy will get in the way of that, that's why Shanks is going after blackbeard because blackbeard is the anomoly.
summary: I think child of destiny just means Shanks has a set path and he didn't want that but had no choice as it was Roger's dying wish
I think shanks is destined to be luffys Sheild. Iv always believed in the final battle he will die protecting luffy.
He's lost his shield arm, a sign the next time itl be his life he looses.
Just a long dream
Not a ton of substance to it but I realized the mark on Shanks’ arm is kinda like Joyboy’s/Luffy’s X but turned 90 degrees with a circle in the middle
I think it is the original Jolly Roger of the World Government, from the Void Century
Please ask that in #manga-serious
Imu reminds me of the British Empire.
She is trying to colonise elbaf and implement a "puppet" government. She also wants to wipe out their history by destroying their centuries old texts.

@dusky acorn
A user in the Kiddpiece Reddit brought up the fact that Shanks’s mark has the same design as a part of Punk Rotten.
This could just be a coincidence, since it’s such a simple design, but given the parallels Kid and Shanks have, and our past theories that Kid has mistaken Shanks for Shamrock, what do you think? Do you think this ties into our Gunko = Victoria theory as well?
Lemme know
Loki stole and ate the actual Gomu Gomu Fruit, I have absolutely zero evidence to back this theory up but I am dead on serious about this theory. Only thing I know is that Vegapunk said he has never heard of the gomu gomu fruit maybe because it’s always been in Elbaf
I don't exactly back this theory but a second part could be that the supposed non existent gomu gomu nomi was kinda trash so it stayed with the celestial dragons (so that they could feed it to the slaves) and that's why it didn't exist in the dictionary. And the holy knights then came to elbaph and replaced the model nika with the gomu gomu nomi since maybe the df look similar and when and if someone ate it they wouldnt think anything was wrong bcz they were still rubbery
Since the world gov is strong but they're scared of fighting with the giants.
But then the only ones who realised this was shanks and gaban or smth so shanks went after the actual nika fruit but didn't tell the giants that it was replaced so that they he could find a person suited for the fruit.
Then shank's actual candidate was ace but then Luffy ate it so shanks thought the fruit only let him eat it bcz it realised Luffy was joyboy or smth????
And maybe the fruit switcharu happened when the king was stabbed (the last panel)
Idk this is way too far fetched I just ranted
look at the anotomy of a person with the brain located

yo dmn thats a valid theory
Absolutely not! That's too creepy, even for Sanji. We need place for joke theories so stupid ones like that don't have to be here.
i did
Generally speaking, joke theories can live in channels like #manga . But if they give it a good amount of evidence/reasoning, then it’s no longer a joke theory. What matters the most is the level of effort that’s put in. Then it’s up to the people to decide which theories they’d like to discuss further.
Hope this makes sense. If you have any more questions feel free to DM
What if luffy could acheive a "6th Gear" by surrounding himself with conqerors haki or something while in gear 5. This would also work for other zoan devil fruit awakenings. Ocne a zoan user awakens their fruit they can acheive what I am going to call a "True Awakening" where they can surpass the ordinary awakened state. Even balancing body mind and sould could be enough to get a "true awakening".
Ah, it's amazing to see how much this theory has been making waves!
Indeed, The mark of the abyss tattoo that Shanks also used to have looks just like Kid's choice for the design of his "Punk Rotten" form, also known as "Magnetic Demon".
I think there's definitely a connection here. Besides just the sheer coincidence, because this is such an important design that Oda already had in mind for Holy Knights for a long while. I would say ever since Shamrock appeared at Reverie, at the very least. So by the time he drew Kid's form in Onigashima, he knew what he was doing.
But if there's a connection, what's the in-story meaning for this striking resemblance? The only possible explanation to give actual reason behind this is that Kid created this design as inspiration from actually seeing Shanks, or Shamrock's arm in the past.
Kid has never seen a real demon before, right? But he does however have a deep hatred for Shanks, whatever his perspective of the "Shanks" in his mind is. So if anyone would be the closest thing to a demon, he's the one Kid would liken to being one.
So that's it, Kid hates Shanks so much as if he WERE the devil himself, hence the suitability to use his tattoo marking that he somehow witnessed in the past, for his Magnetic "Demon" form.
Kid's potential story-line with Shanks and Shamrock seems to be creeping closer with this latest chapter. Him being a conqueror user definitely strengthens it, too.
It's as if he was given the ability exactly for the endgame role he's meant to play. (Meanwhile Law wasn't given it, potentially signifying he won't be fighting immortals for his final battles of this series. Potentially the likes of Blackbeard's crew such as Kuzan instead?)
Anyway, speaking of Law, this would actually turn out to be similar foreshadowing and meaning between Law and Doflamingo. 'Cause remember, this is equally as similar as Law simply having a similar jolly roger design to Doffy. (If not even MORE since the visual likeness for Kid and the Holy Knight tattoo is actually 1:1).
People commented on Law and Doflamingo's similarity even on the Supernova introduction 15+ years ago, and then we ended up seeing how much credence it ended up having. That jolly roger design similarity is all it would've took, for that theory to come true way back when.
And just like Law named his crew the Heart Pirates, wore a Corazon hoodie, did everything BUT sit under Doffy's throne in order to tick him off, Kid also uses the signature mark of the holy knights because he too likely feels incredibly wronged by someone with the mark somehow. Was it actually Shanks? Shamrock? Maybe Kid himself hasn't even uncovered the whole truth yet.
But what Kid may know is that whoever he saw with the mark was a Celestial Dragon, and wants to make these "gods" feel like the exact opposite, by using the mark of the abyss in his "Magnetic Demon" form. By showing how much he demonizes them to use their mark for his own demonic form, he's effectively denouncing their hierarchy by doing this. More specifically whoever Kid had beef with who he saw with the mark.
So yes, there's definitely going to be some untold history, Kid didn't just coincidentally make up the exact same design, AND also coincidentally be the exact same person that wants Shanks' head who ALSO had that very design too. Before even losing an arm, I think Kid felt some sort of spite for the "Shanks" from his perspective, hence the reason he specifically targetted him before ever even having an alliance.
@cobalt igloo @desert quest @slate burrow @craggy pumice
I’m very intrigued by the notion that Kid knows a different side to shanks than Luffy does. A more ruthless side. Even before their encounter at Elbaph. And he’s appropriating that demon motif, reclaiming it in a way
Well this isn’t my own theory but could 56 be the age that luffy dies?
Good theory, as always
I thought that Kid was using it almost as a mockery of Shanks. As you said, the only possible reason would be that Kid saw this mark on either Shanks or Shamrock. So he would plaster on their symbol, on himself.
Imagine getting hit with an attack with your own symbol. It would be infuriating.
I definitely think Kid is coming back into the story soon.
Also, @dusky acorn
May I post your response in the kiddpiece subreddit?
Of course, please do! I think I actually may have been the original reason this theory on Punk Rotten + mark of the abyss spread in the first place, lol. When the spoilers first released for the previous chapter, I immediately commented on the exact design likeness, and someone with a big breadth of following on Twitter asked to repost my observation as well. From there, that's how the theory must have spread over to Reddit too.

Don't feel obliged to credit though, I don't mind. As long as it gets more recognition, that's all I hope for
The numbers “5-6” is Japanese wordplay (goroawase) for “go-mu”. That’s all it’s hinting at on the surface. We don’t have any reason to think it’s the age he dies unless you have any more evidence to share. Oda has done this with many things like birthdays (eg Buggy). I believe it was done for bounties but I can’t recall an example right now.
Also, please keep in mind that this channel’s for longer theories. Although sharing links to theories is fine, next time please provide a short summary (3-4 sentences) about the premise and any evidence/reasoning it uses so people know what they’re about to click.
Ahhh, I see, thank you!
theoretically, luffy could do that, since he's free to do whatever he wants in gear 5. its just whether or not would he think of that. since going gear 5 seems to make him a bit more goofier
hm
i mean, am i wrong? its not entirely wrong
nope to the point
explain
it all depends on wielder's imagination, It is said to be the most ridiculous power in the one piece verse for a reason. Gear 5 isn't just about making yourself more stronger, but the ability to make the surroundings into rubber. That level of freedom and control gives luffy an edge. This was only possible if it was rubber. Other element might not do much
just spit balling here but if he tried and thought of it would he not be able to use other existing element's in a fight like how did with kaido by firing his fire breathe back at him and how he tried to swallow kizarus light beams could he not use those elements to advantage if luffy chose to
for kaido, he wanted to taste him his own medicine. Well luffy can grab and control lightning, maybe he can't control what didn't came from nature. Like if kizaru use his devil fruit luffy can't control it, but if he use natural lightning, he will be able to. Just a possibility.
Most likely because it's a natural element like it wasn't from another devil fruit per say like if Enel, tried to shoot lightning at him, do you think he could redirect it or use it how he did against Kaido
well, use the ground again like he used again kaido fireball attack. Just ground the electricity
. Null and void
Only if luffy knows how electricity works xD
That's true, but knowing luffy he'd probably try to do something very nonsensical

found this idea on Reddit and it sounds very cool, no real meat on it, although for what we've seen so far Imu does have a pretty varied set of powers
Im starting to think that Imu had someone who used the Ope Ope No Mi to swap personality, as Doflamingo mentioned about it. Imu swapped with Lily in some kind of bond to ensure the safety of certain remaining subjects of Joyboy's crew, and Lily probably was the person who had the Ope ope no mi then swapped, then did the surgery to grant immortality to Imu, even though it's on Lily's body, the grantation of immorality could only apply to the soul which is Imu's soul, which explains why Imu couldve lived for so long, and the disappearance of Nefeltari D Lily.
For some reason, Imu might want Vivi because like zoan devil fruits, the will can be passed down, proven to be in Shirahoshi's case which the will of the previous Poseidon was passed down directly to Shirahoshi, not in some kind of devil fruit. Zoan contains the will of the user but what if the Will of D can be passed from one subject to another, Will of D isnt the same as the Zoan's will but can be passed down. It took 800 years for Poseidon to reincarnate in the form of a virgin mermaid, so what if the same could apply for Vivi by Lily but Vivi just hasn't realised but Imu had acquired the knowledge to know something. Vivi might be the national treasure that's related to the Ope Ope No Mi that Doflamingo previously mentioned, or something that might reshape the One Piece world if the "will" inside Vivi is extracted.
I would bet that joyboy had the ope ope no mi and was the one who gave the immortality to imu and was also the original owner of the dark dark fruit. i believe that blackbeard is the real descendant to joyboy. the fact that blackbeard knows a lot about the history of one piece and is so obsessed about becoming the next joyboy but still choses the dark dark fruit doesnt make sense unless he knew that joyboy also had the dark dark fruit.
From the mural on the Adam’s tree. It says in the first world that the hellfire serpent “shrouded the world in death, and darkness” could be another way of saying the serpent ate the sun god. Similar to what happened to Luffy in skypiea
I might be looking to hard into it, but imu wants control of the giants, estrid had Loki while herald was away and Loki has demon eyes, could that’s be some connection?
This is just something interesting about Loki.
So in the other translation, Harald called the Kingdom really "lucky". (This translation uses blessed)
Personally, I like lucky more.
So if you see, the whole chapter, Estrid kept talking about luck. Like bringing the horse for good luck, and talking about the room energy or the mirror position bringing a bad luck or something. Then when Loki was born, Estrid called Loki a curse.
But we all know Oda like his puns, right? You know what "Loki" sounds like? Yea, the pronunciation of Loki sounds a lot like "Lucky." Even the Japanese writing is pretty similar, which Oda loves to do.
Loki isn't a curse. Loki is lucky.
ok here is my theroy.... brook is known as the soul man essentially. loki being freed is gna be the cause of ragnorok just like in norse mythology. loki and brook are crucial. brook is the trigger of the lost humainty in that God Knight. so brook ignites the soul in the God Knight. Loki since he knows past truth of the world government killing Harald and seeing some of the knights, means he will ignite the truth. this begins the fall of imu and the final saga. ik we are already in it, but its very early so this is the real start. imu's whole thing is supressing emotion and joyboy brings out emotion
So they just confirmed that the grand line is the serpent of fire that’s on the mural right? Harold refers to the grand line as the “blood covered serpent”
Is it a stupid idea for one piece to end like no one remembers imu? As its stated that a person only dies after being forgotten, imu’s actions might spark such anger in luffy that his/hers death wont be enough and they would want to erase the whole existence of imu because of it so they would wipe everyone’s memory of the whole world gov. Stuff somehow or just imu and the gorosei and celestial dragons, but maybe only luffy or someone that could write the whole story off would remember it? And that might be the one piece, as its stated every knowledge in the world is found in the one piece, this might be a whole loop surrounding the story
like if Sugar used their fruit on Imu?
maybe Estrid is related somehow to Imu? Harald was able to have a "non cursed" son with another woma. However, with Estrid, a child is born with kinde demon looking. If Imu is a demon, that may explain Imu's looking. Also, she gave birth while Harald was out, maybe it was intentioned to take away a noble giant son with her, but she didn't expect him to look like her, like a demon, so that's why she tries to get rid of any evidence and celestial dragons are still up to kill Loki.
No idea how, maybe in the last fight an ability becomes available somehow to erase everyone’s minds and they could somehow use it on imu but sumn like that
They could even reset the universe but i think the whole idea of at least imu’s person being forgotten is kinda interesting, this came to me as i thought of jjba and this seemed a reasonable ending to the story and the solution to the mystery of the one piece treasure and what we know of it today
i think it would be better if the world knew what happened and were able to make a choice based on it. I bet there are people who still side with Imu even knowing what they are
But that’s the thing, imu is basically the causer for everyone’s problems in modern one piece days, if he/she never even came into existence, probably no one would have suffered, though this solution is kinda like “the winners write history” sentiment
still loking at the chapter, Estrid seems to loose color on the eyes leaving the circles, just like Imu's eyes. Also page 16 shows on the left corner panel a specific mouth shape like japanese demons masks (the common red masks). I think it may be a hint
I think One Piece will end before 2030 and here's why:
The Final Saga is paralleling the Summit War Saga
Sabody Archipelago = Egghead
Amazon Lily = Elbaf
Impel Down = TBD
Marineford = Final War
Post Marineford = Last arc
And if you don't agree, post timeskip in general is paralleling pre timeskip
Fishman Island = Arlong Park
Dressrosa = Alabasta
Whole Cake Island = Enies Lobby
Wano Country = Thriller Bark
idk tbh lol only a couple of those have actual similaraties the others are just lining up at the same time in sagas
but i think loki and brook are the key to the world knowing of imu
Thing is with this not everyone in the world even knows he exists outside of the gorosei gods knights top marine brass and maybe a few others, it is very realistic that many will not remember imu after a few generations other than maybe in folk tales as the dark king of the world
Does the latest story of Loki being thrown down and climbing back as a child remind you guys of any mythological folklore
It sounds so similar to something I read a long time ago but I can't place my finger on it.
There’s a lot of stories about things like this although it might not be as direct as a baby doing it, like Jesus resurrection from death after conquering Hell, there’s probably many Greek stories about people being sent down to hell and having to find their way back, Izanagi, odin, aeneas, even in Dante’s inferno
Maybe Dante's inferno is what I was thinking about but the baby in particular, it doesn't have to be to hell but this story of the unwanted baby journeying back reminds me of something.
Maybe you’re thinking of perseus which also has similarities to loki as perseus was prophecized to kill his father so his mom threw him out
Haphaestus also has a similar story he also had deformities at birth and was thrown into the sea by Hera and was raised by sea beasts before returning to Olympus
Honestly it’s funny how a lot of these are Greek lol I think that’s oedipus story too who was also prophecized to kill his father
Maybe maybe this sounds so similar. I actually really love when Oda rewrites folklore into the context of one piece
Greek mythology has many very similar stories, haphaestus was one of the 12 olympians birthed by Hera and Zeus. Estrid does have some similarities to Hera also but ya oda is cooking mixing all these different pantheons into 1 combined lore
Guys what is the connection of gunko and brook and that guy in the silhouette in her memory
It’s believed that brook knew her in his past life from when he was a soldier in his original kingdom, maybe she’s his daughter or maybe she was a noble or civilian that he bonded with thru their love of music not really sure what happened after that could be the CDs took over and enslaved their people with gunko somehow ending up a gods knight it’s pretty obscure rn but well probably get more details after this flash back since it did make gunko falter in her decisions for a bit
Could it be brook like shanks was offered for holy knights
Not sure what you mean here, shanks currently is assumed to be from a noble family which is why he would’ve been offered a position in the gods knights, not much is really known about brooks life before becoming a pirate other than he was a soldier for some kingdom before becoming a pirate
Isn't One Piece Loki just a twist on Fenrir
Throwing OP-Loki down to underworld is much like Odin throwing Hel to Niflheim and Jörmungandr to sea
Mmm ok, based on the mural I've got some theory :
- On the right bottom corner, we see some being with a circle aura above their head going underground and leaving with some kind of mini sun in their hands. It can symbollise some kind of angelic being going underground and leaving their aura behind to get some evil flame.
- we see those mini sun around on the other side of those panel
Those mini sun are devil' fruits. They came from underground and were harvested at first.
The One piece might be the generator / power sun that can materialize the Devil's fruit and it was harvested back then.
The left side of the Mural is not imu. Imu is on the top central part. The being at the left side as subtle difference
I think might be BB.
It got three mini sun ( if we imply those are devil's fruit ) around his hand, the two we know + the one of Imu, maybe.
And the One piece in his hand.
I do believe BB will steal the OP from Luffy by going to Laugh Tale, Luffy will uncover it but in a bastardly move BB will steal it and then will take the fight directly to Imu and will steal his DF.
Luffy will came back with a vengeance to Marijoie, gathering all of his allies, and we will have the Sun Vs Darkness , and the fight will destroy the red Line ( hence the vision of Luffy destroying Fishman Island, cause the red line will fall on it when it will crumble )
you cooked on this one
Also Nidhogg, a being which gnaws the roots of Yggdrasill that trap the beast there and is said to harald the Ragnarok
Loki was also chained in the underworld, once freed by Luffy, he striked Yggrasill with his hammer, this can be associated to Nidhogg gnawing the roots of the tree(...)
This excerpt can be found on wikipedia: "The most prevalent opinion is that the arrival of Níðhǫggr heralds Ragnarök and thus that the poem ends on a tone of ominous warning. It could be, however, as the prevalent themes of Norse mythology are those of change and renewal, that this could be a 'redemption' of the serpent, 'shedding' the corpses and beginning life anew, much like a macabre Phoenix, or perhaps, lifting the bodies of the righteous rulers"
damn that’s interesting
Rocks D. Xebec Was the Original User of the Yami Yami no Mi
I believe that Rocks D. Xebec was the original user of the Yami Yami no Mi (Dark-Dark Fruit), and that’s what made him strong enough to lead monsters like Whitebeard, Kaido, and Big Mom. The fruit’s ability to cancel other Devil Fruits and possibly allow the user to hold multiple fruits would explain Xebec’s overwhelming power and influence.
This also explains why Blackbeard was obsessed with finding that specific fruit — not just because it’s strong, but because it was once Xebec’s. He’s clearly modeling himself after Xebec (his ship is literally named the Saber of Xebec), and may even be continuing Xebec’s dream in some twisted way.
Jus something thats been on my mind , someone please tell me im not tripping 😭🙏🏽
Mosa Hajrudin's mother, what do you think about her calling him like a true mother? She loved him. Loki, the proud giant who always teased Hajrudin that he wasn't one but wanted a woman like Lola. Maybe he wanted someone like Ida/Mosa/Hajrudin's mother, who was always his only person of reference.
Sorry, Google Translate
Den den Mushi is old too
Florian triangle theory: The massive shadow creatures with glowing red eyes in the florian triangle aren't random monsters... they're the original sea king species that ruled during the void century who are now imprisoned in a dimensional pocket created by an unknown ancient weapon. The evidence ? The Florian triangle's unnatural properties: ships disappear for years then reappear with no time having passed for the crew. This most likely suggests temporal and dimensional distortion not just fog. The creatures eyes glow red which match the same red glow we see in zunisha's eyes when receiving commands. This indicates they're under some form of ancient control or curse. The calm belt's suspicious perfection... two perfectly straight windless zones that trap normal ships? That's not natural geography. It's an artificial barrier system. So basically, during the void century there were three species of sea kings: regular sea kings (the ones we see in the calm belt) sky kings (now extinct but referenced in skypiea's history) abyss kings (the florian triangle entities). So the abyss kings were the most powerful and probably allied with the ancient kingdom. When the 20 kingdoms won they couldn't kill these massive creatures, so they used an ancient weapon, possibly Uranus, to create the calm belt as a containment system for regular sea kings ,seal the abyss kings in a dimensional prison (florian triangle) erase the sky kings entirely explaining why skypiea has no native flying creatures of that scale). Whats crazy is rhe world government chose the florian triangle's location specifically because it's equidistant from water 7, fishman island and wano... three locations confirmed to have ancient weapon connections. The dimensional prison requires constant energy from these three points to maintain itself
This matters because when vegapunk mentioned the world's sea level rising, he didn't explain why the calm belt stays perfectly intact. It's because the calm belt isn't natural... it's maintained by the same system imprisoning the abyss kings. What does this mean for the end of oke piec3? Luffy will need to free the abyss kings to access the true power needed to destroy the red line. The florian triangle isn't just a spooky location... it's the prison of joy boy's greatest allies and when freed they'll reveal the location of the final road poneglyph which was hidden in their dimensional space to keep it from the world government. Oda consistently uses imprisonment of powerful beings lile kaido in punk hazard, level 6 prisoners, giants enslaved. The rule of three appears everywhere in one piece: 3 admirals, 3 ancient weapons, 3 types of haki). Dimensional abilities are increasingly important like brulee's mirror world, mont d'ors book worlds, blueno's door dimension. This theory explains why moria coincidentally set up in the florian triangle... he was drawn to the death energy leaking from the dimensional prison, why kuma sent perona there specifically, and why the world government has never investigated despite centuries of disappearances. The abyss kings are waiting... and their glowing red eyes aren't threatening... they're pleading for freedom
This took me a reaally long time to come up with. I'd appreciate any relevant feedback on my theory
Hear me out, what if the 3 devil fruit categories arent arbitrary? What if the whole 2 fruits = death thing is a misunderstanding from someone eating 2 Paramecia or 2 Zoan. What if a human can eat 1 fruit of each category but no one is dumb enough and has the opportunity to try?
Ngl this explains why oda bothered creating three distinct categories in the first place, why the categories seem so fundamentally different and also why blackbeard was so confident he could handle a second fruit. This gets even more interesting when you consider blackbeard's case: he has the yami yami no mi and gura gura no mi. If your theory is correct, he could theoretically still eat a zoan and survive. Maybe paramecia = altering your body/abilities, zoan = altering your soul/spirit, logia = altering your essence/matter. I think know one has tried because you'd need to be either incredibly knowledgeable about the true nature of dfs OR ridiculously lucky to eat fruits from different categories. Most people who eat a second fruit probably just grabbed whatever was available. The main issue to this theory would be explaining why the wg or vegapunk hasn't figured this out through experimentation but maybe they have and it's being kept secret? Or maybe the risk is still too high for official testing who knows
Oh has anyone made an Odepius Rex Theory regarding Loki
No, it looks like you're the very first person to mention it, within this community at least. Since you're the only link of insight for this theory, mind giving us a brief on what it's about?
i’d guess the gist would be that loki went out of his way to try and not kill harald but in doing so caused harald’s death
I still think the left is imu because of the boat with 5ppl clearly the elders whereas BB is synonymous with 3 and has 10 commanders
his knowledge of the prophecy and attempts to avoid it led to him fulfilling it much like oedipus
Theory on the Seraphims and King
Remember how we were told in egghead that the Vegapunk clones, Admirals and then The Gorosei have command over the seraphims in that order?, well, I believe that's false, I believe that the person with the highest command over the seraphims is King. Hear me out, The seraphims were created with King's DNA, the WG accessed his DNA from when he was locked up in punk hazard. Technically, The seraphim are King's children, and if they are to see a true, full fledged Lunarian attempt to command them, It'd make sense for them to obey since they came from his DNA and he is a true Lunarian.
I could see that seeing as how s snake still had a disposition for luffy
If boas dna was able to manipulate her seraphim clone and support luffy it would make sense that the other half of their makeup be able to have some kind of authority over them but not really sure bc that could mean that the ppl they were cloned after might also have some level of control
you cooked bro
Oedipus has become the king of Thebes while unwittingly fulfilling a prophecy that he would kill his father, Laius (the previous king)
i been saying this since we first saw him
the story/play ends with Oedipus being exiled and leaving Thebes accepting his future and leaves the city
covered eyes, killed his dad? oh thats Oedipus. a lil bit of Hephaestus in there too which is fitting since he started the curse that got Oeddy
It's been made clear that the red line is the blood soaked serpent, so if he unleashes again, since Luffy be fighting imu, maybe loki will bring down the serpent once and for all, destroying the red line and makes all the seas come together making the all blue, and then since it's been fortold that the world will sink, that's where shirahoshi comes into play, she will make the landmasses emerge again and join them all making one single continent, which would be the "ONE PIECE"
actually, I wouldn't be mad if Oda did this. also here is a theory of my own: what if Roger never actually died but instead put an impostor in his place when he "Gave" himself up to the Navy/WG. the real Roger is living his days in solitude where no one knows of his existence, not even his former crewmates.
Nah there is no evidence to support this and i dont think that keeping roger alive would affect the story
nah this would just ruin roger's character/personality
it is way better to think that roger gave his life up for the next gen pirates or hopefully reincarnation of joyboy.
How come no one’s talking about how Luffy is supposed to destroy fish man island and Loki is to destroy Elbaf.
i just assumed it went without saying that those prophecies are similar, but yeah i agree weird it isnt brought up more
Imu is a lesser dragon who failed to Transend. It didn't reach it's dream to become a true celestial dragon and join the ancient kingdom of dragons. The will of Dragons is to be free. Instead of reaching that state IMU became something much more evil. Strange, the freest mythical beings are the one race that don't exist in One Piece...
i been tryna raise the Imugi alarm for 2 years
So what if the first world pertains to the creation of the world, or at least the world as it's known today. I think at this point it's pretty obvious that there is geavy connection between the "serpent of fire" mentioned in the first world and Jörmungandr. It's highly likely that after the first world, thus serpent of fire fell to rest amongst the world only to wait to be commanded once again. This is why it's called the blood soaked serpent by the giants and also potentially the reason behind the Lunarians fire manipulation abilities, since they lived on the remains of this serpent of fire.
Makes me curious about other dragon entities in any myths
I'm playing with the names here (somewhat)
Let's look at D meaning "Dragon"
"Dragon" Monkey D. Dragon (a double dragon), MiHawk Dracule (not known as D) and the 1st empress, Neferari D. Lili (Dragon lily). All 3 come from different myths different from the Imugi in Korean Lore.
Double dragon is known in chinese lore and may represent balance, duality like the yin yang or more literal like a double headed dragon like Amaru Incan Lore, was highly connected to weather and especially "Revolutions".
Dracule is Romanian and Dracul literally means "Dragon" and Dracul father was a member of the Order of Dragons.
The DragonLily (Dracunculus vulgaris), the blood of Dragons come from mostly Greek and Rome. It's connected to rebirth and motherhood.
Dragons are the freest of mythological beings and highly value their freedom.
Being free, having freedom is the core message of One Piece. The flowers represented in the show through names and POI's (I think is the main theme) lets not forget Robin "flower flower" fruit. Of course that goes to the One Piece crew. The egg that Rogers had on his ship is a Dragon.
If I go into depths, I can explain how Garling Fi(Garland) "wreath of Flowers" & Gol D. Rogers (Gol meanings "Rose" and "Flower") reveal the connection between Shanks, Xebec and Garling. It all has to do with Lily and Lili and whether the D means Dragon. I believe "The Will of D" is an unfinished catch phrase. One could say, "The Will of Dragons, is to be free."
At the end of chapter 1085 or 86. This was noted. These chapters introduced Nefertari D. Lily while Vivi was kidnapped by Cipher Pol (Aegis) agents. Now, I might be the only one at the time that was thinking maybe the D does mean "Dragon" because of Dragon Lily. It was looking the flower up that i found pretty odd. The flower is found in Greece, along the coast of the Aegean sea and on Crete island. Aegis came from the skin of the goat that fed Zeus when he was a baby hidden away on Crete, Mt. Ida. The goat died by a black dragon and Zeus used the skin to create the shield. Ok, So no one is going to know this if you don't assume the "D" means Dragon, right? Ok, so the message about changing Lily to Lili seemed to make sense. Oddly, Vivi means a flower as well as Lily. but Lili meaning "Oath of God" well. Since names get spelled certains ways. Look at the this: X(ebe)X, S(hank)s and G(arlin)g (All first names). We have Ebe, hank and Arlin. Remember Gol D. Rogers and Gol meaning flower? Well this isn't all coincidental. This was a thoroughly thought out plan done by ODA and that's if the "D" means dragon. Not only does Dragonlily represent flowers, but the island Amazon Lily and all the females (especially) the empresses have flowers in thier names. So...
Hank meaning Helm. Who is the helm of the Red pirates? S(hank)s is, lol
one pic is the names of empresses and ladies of Amazon and the other is names of characters that use flower names.
Consider one thing. Pirates and Dragons have a couple things in common. Both love freedom but they both love treasure!
So, the theory is. Imu is a lesser dragon and failed to achieve it's dream to become a celestial dragon. Imu probably idolized them and wanted to become one. I'm sure the "Kingdom of Dragons" has tons of treasures and gadgets and probably were in a way like pirates back in that era. Clearly, some kind of issue happened involving Imu and it got angry or jealous and betrayed the ancient "Kingdom of Dragons". This is why being a "D" is taboo and all those who carry the moniker are criminals and/or must be killed.
Imu probably convinced the other 19 kingdoms to go to war them through some kind of slandering which may explain why Nefartari join him. That, or she wasn't really a good person to begin with. Who knows. I think Nerferari Lily found out the truth and that Imu lied and had other plans that she couldn't agree with and abandoned Imu and the 19 kingdoms. Imu probably didn't knop which is why he preserved Alabasta through the 800+ years. I bet Imu loved her. Anyways, I think she founded Amazon Lily as the 1st empress (she is a Queen to begin with). One Piece is a treasure that has no importance to the overall story which is why Imu or 5 elders do not care to find it or they know of it and it provides no benefits to them. Has Imu ever mentioned the 'One Piece?"
There's so many things wrong with this, I just don't think anyone really wanted to tackle it. The Celestial Dragons are the 20 families, well 19 technically. Imu started them. The first empress of Amazon Lily existed 38 years ago on God Valley. One Piece has vast importance to them, considering poneglyphs are made illegal because of it.

How Gunko IS Victoria despite everything pointing against it
As previously theorized, Gunko is secretly Victoria, the childhood friend of Kid and Killer, who was killed by gang members. The theory stated was her corpse was found by Shamrock, whom Kid caught a glimpse of, and believed to be Shanks, and her corpse was taken with him, and dark magic was performed on her in order to revive her.
This was taken as a parallel to Thriller bark, when Cindry, who shared the name Victoria with the former, had a similar action performed on her by Hogback. This connects to Brook calling Gunko a “Zombie.”
This was believed to be the case by Kid fans for a while, however, one chapter completely made this theory dead. And that is that Gunko has memories of Brook, and Brook recognized Gunko by name.
HOWEVER.
This is NOT killing the theory after all. I have come up with a perfectly probable explanation to solve this. Bear with me.
Assuming Gunko IS a zombie, made up of other’s body parts, then there is a conclusion that we can come to. The magic that pieced her body back together is imperfect. Memories of the people that form her bleed into her own mind. This is supported by a few things. One, Gunko meeting Brook cannot coexist with the timeline. She remembers being a young girl at the time of meeting Brook, and at the time of that happening, Brook would have still been stuck drifting in the Florian triangle.
Secondly, Gunko didn’t recognize Brook for some time. She knew he was a musician, and she enjoyed his music, but that specific memory wasn’t triggered until later.
Thirdly, Brook recognized Gunko by name, not by face. Of course, this is because if he HAD met her, she would have been a child, BUT this also fits with my theory. Gunko simply was given the name of one of the people she was formed up with upon her death. Gunko isn’t her real name, it’s Victoria.
So, putting all this together, the FULL theory, is that Victoria was a village girl on Kid’s island, was killed by gang members, her corpse was taken by Shamrock, whom Kid glimpsed and mistook for Shanks, and dark magic was performed on her, putting her body back together with various other corpses. One of which, was a woman whom had met Brook (pre-Florian triangle) when she was a girl. The magic brought Victoria back, she took the Woman’s name, Gunko, and became a holy knight under Shamrock. But the magic was imperfect, and memories of the Woman sometimes bleed into Victoria’s own mind, one of which was of Gunko (Woman) meeting Brook as a child.
GUNKO IS VICTORIA
SHE IS SHE IS SHE IS SHE IS SHE IS
@dusky acorn @opaque quiver @sacred dirge @final bloom @cobalt igloo
Yo I need time to read this one 💀
I wonder though (just finished reading)
I’m not buying the thing that HKs took corpses of others to make 1 new entity and apply dark magic
Wonder why it would be though…
And the corpse turned into an actual holy knight themself that is.
This ties into a separate theory I Have, so I might as well go over it here
Victoria was royalty
Or a descendant of royalty, or some relative to royalty.
All we know about Kid’s island, is that it was unaffiliated with the world government. It’s very likely that it once had a monarchy, but was overthrown, and over the years, descended into anarchy. If this is true, Victoria is likely a descendant of that monarchy.
Starting off, her full name is Victoria Shiruton Doruyanaika. An extremely regal name, not only in its lettering, but also in its real world application. Of course, queen Victoria of England.
Then there’s the pattern that every one piece princess has their name based off of a flower. Victoria also falls into this category, after the Victoria amazónica.
So, the reason as to why Shamrock took as interest in Victoria, was on her random ass island in the first place, and brought her corpse, is because she’s royalty, and important to the world government
Hmmmmm I see I see
I’m going down with the ship
It’s her until it’s spelled out 100%
why everybody assume the all blue does not exists yet ?
Sanji did states that the All blue might exist because he found fishes in Ocean they did not belong on a market.
It's likely that the all blue is , for the moment, a secluded underground sea where all the seas meet, but might be unleashed on the surface when the red line will collapse. And the all blue might be located under Reverse mountain atm ( and maybe Laugh Tale is at the center of this sea )
At the moment reverse mountain is the only place where all four seas are meeting at the top, and the name " reverse mountain" is also telling. ( outside being a weird name, and marking a X shaped cross on the world map )
its unfortunate that all of the people who used to talk in here migrated to other channels because this channel started getting spammed with insane stuff rather than stuff based on real evidence and not just things trying to justify headcanon by grapsing at miniscule evidences. All theories have kind of devolved into x person is actually x person or x person will get x power up or x person is actually related to x person or x history is actaully explained by x.
tiktok and theory content farm youtube channels have done irreparable damage to actual discussions.
But how exactly does that connect to the fact that Gunko has the title from the Manmayer Family? I dont believe that they would give a Zombie a Real royal family title

Isnt that filler?
Im talking about sanji finding a fish from a different sea at the loguetown cooking competition (i assume thats what he meant)
Nvm its canon, not sure how it makes sense tho. Could be a bad viz translation maybe?
In the original, the „swam in from the south seas“ is stated a bit more like a rumor and not outright fact like in the VIZ translation
Assuming Gunko IS a zombie, made up of other’s body parts, then there is a conclusion that we can come to.
This is a big assumption to have as a pre-requisite for this theory. I know the Straw Hats did liken her to being one, but that's just because of the regeneration ability she shares with all other Holy Knights and Elders, not due to her appearance or history. It could be an unbeknowest hint to her past by the Straw Hats' comment, but it's a long shot..😅
One, Gunko meeting Brook cannot coexist with the timeline. She remembers being a young girl at the time of meeting Brook, and at the time of that happening, Brook would have still been stuck drifting in the Florian triangle.
But there is a way many seem to believe they can have coexisted in a timeline before Brook was in the Florian Triangle. That is, by Gunko's age being put to a stop after naturally aging into a young adult, like Imu did with Saturn.
Thirdly, Brook recognized Gunko by name, not by face
Admittedly, it would be a bit difficult for Brook to recognize Gunko by face right away beyond any doubt, when she now wears a mask and hat in the present, which hide a big portion of her features.
Also, was it really shown that Gunko's name is what made him recognize her? If her unique name really struck him, he shouldn't still be on the fence of questioning her identity with some form of reasonable doubt, but that is how he is right now. Even we readers have never met any other "Gunko / 軍子" in this whole series.
Gunko simply was given the name of one of the people she was formed up with upon her death. Gunko isn’t her real name, it’s Victoria
And how do we explain the fact that she's part of the Manmayer family, as of the latest volume release? Was that Gunko's original heritage, or was the family somehow kind enough to take her in as one? It certainly didn't seem like Victoria's heritage was of Manmayer descent at least, given we know her full name.
Damn, I didn’t know the volume corrected her introduction box to include the family. That mistake sure produced a lot of speculation.
The woman that she is made up from was the Manmayer woman we see in God Valley
Her full name was Manmayer Gunko
And this woman met Brook when she was a little girl
@dusky acorn this is the best answer I can give to your question as well
Also, what do you think of my theory that Victoria was of royal descent?
oh my days when gunko was introduced you can see she was in js panties idk how i didnt realize that in chapter 1144 we see her listening to a song called "New World" and in her headphones it says TD which stands for "Tone Dial" which were exclusive items sold in Brook's concerts in saboady archipelago. New world was the last song played by brook before leaving. Gunko is a huge fan of brook and brook loves panties so since gunko is such a big fan of brook she probably walks around in her panties because she wants brook to see her panties. saw this on tiktok may be a reach idk
further proof for me that rocks is hiriluk🙏
Lazy theory
- The fallen world ruler was Poseidon that once lived at the Ancient Kingdom that then fled to the sea and live beneath the Marijoe
- The reason why humans hate fishmen has something to do with the past. Humans were once ruled by Poseidon, by fishmen.
Why Poseidon was the actual ruler?
- The big strawhat in Marijoe belongs to Poseidon because of Joyboy's promise with the Poseidon (like maybe so that Poseidon will always remember Joyboy whenever she looks at the hat), the size, and was foreshadow by many fishmen kids wore mini strawhats bought by Jimbei to imitates Luffy.
- Imu also has Shirahoshi's poster (Poseidon) along with others.
- The gates at the Reverse Mountain have mermaids carving on it. Is it weird? It makes anyone thinks "Is this the entrance to something?" "What is it up there? Where?" I do have the idea of "where" in mind that has been explained in my old theory for a proper super long explanation. It is above the Reverse Mountain of course.
- Luffy promised Shirahoshi that he would take her to a real forest on the surface the next time they met.
- It's suggested that this promise might be fulfilled when Fishman Island is destroyed, potentially as part of Madame Sharley's prophecy, and Shirahoshi and the Fishman race are brought to the surface.
- Shirahoshi adores the sun, the vast sky, and the illuminated vast sea when the she saw it for the first time at such a high place, on gondola, on their way to marijoe.
- She once again wished that she would like to live on the surface.
- The perfect place for such similar views would be somewhere high place too. Somewhere on the top like Marijoe. Perhaps the Ancient Kingdom once again?
- Alabasta has considered the cat mermaid as sacred. I think it somewhat links to mermaids, to Poseidon. Perhaps it's because they feel guilty for betraying the Ancient Kingdom in the past?
I really like the idea of the strawhat being Poseidon's. There's a really good theory by hardrocker about all of the whale-related imagery in one piece and how it could relate to Laugh Tale (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MFrmTWlCTo), and your theory made me wonder if some of these examples of whale tails are actually mermaid tails. Certain things he lists are definitely whale-related, but some of it could be mermaids-related instead. You might be interested in watching this video because it could reinforce some of your Poseidon suspicions.
Thanks for your feedback. Didn't expect that you will like it considering how picky you are Mohdoo. I haven't watch all of it but I can at least say I am spektical with his conclusion though. Oh that's an interesting idea you have there about whale tails to actually be mermaid tails. I would like to hear more about it. Yeah, that sounds more plausible for it to be mermaids related instead. Spot on! I do enjoy the video but I haven't watch all of it yet.
Does anyone else think the One Piece is a UFO space ship?
This is the clip from Gol D. Roger saying the one piece sitting before them. Literally advance a few frames you can see the legs. I am almost POSITIVE now that the one piece is a UFO. https://imgur.com/a/RxA8kDl
Tbf, it isn’t necessarily confirmed if she’s wearing panties or not
Iirc, some shots DO make it look like she’s wearing some sort of one-piece clothing/leotard underneath, mainly in some angles where it may look like the clothing is too high up to be panties. Also, given that Brook didn’t even ask to see her panties or comment on it, even when he had a quite literally perfect view of them is also a little discrediting
But also, I think you’re not caught up at all…. So I think you should stop looking at one piece tiktoks and read the story yourself to understand exactly why that kind of theory is a little discredited 😭
Also oda’s first pic in first manga is of a alien mask
what do you think of my theory that Victoria was of royal descent?
I think it's plausible. The amount of named / relevant characters when it comes to Kutzk Island are already so limited, it makes you wonder why Victoria of all characters has been drawn such attention to via the Victoria Punk and several SBS entries.
The shout to Queen Victoria is definitely intentional by Oda, though. Kid is supposed to be Scottish, and even had a chapter titled after him which was "Anarchy In The B.M." AKA a reference to the song Anarchy In The UK. So, throwing in some royal lineage from Victoria to spicen up the backstory of Kutzk would be an interesting match.
After all, this could give reason as to why the top gang of the nation that was "acting like kings" would have killed Victoria in the first place. Possibly out of jealousy? But meanwhile Victoria didn't care for whatever rightful heritage she was supposed to have, I believe.
I never heard of the flower connections to One Piece princesses though, I'd have to research on that piece of evidence more.
All in all, I don't really see Victoria as much of a gag character anymore, at least not from a design perspective. Now we saw Ida, a giant also from the South Blue with a similar design that played her role as a serious character, and would have nearly been royalty / queen of Elbaph if not for their traditions.
I also feel similar vibes in design choice with Uholisia, Sai's fiancée who was arranged to marry him due to political reasons.
https://onepiece.fandom.com/wiki/Uholisia
Do they really need a reason to hate fishmen though? Humans are racists by nature
Yea you are right. But having an actual reason to hate something would solidify some humans attitudes towards something.
I would rather think that is a big tree rather than a ufo
That’s anime only, not canon.
Hi, yall, I'm new to the server. This is my theory... In episode 77 of the anime, Dorry and Broggy said that that the only thing they can't penetrate is a "bloodstained snake". This might seem like nothing. But now in Elbaf, there are a lot of things that could be that snake. For example, in the mural, the snake on the left could be this snake with it's red lines and scars. It could also be Loki, since he is cunning as a snake and he is blood stained bc he was rejected by everyone he knew. It could aslo be a devil fruit, like a Norse snake like Hebi Hebi no mi model: jormogandr. Tell me about what you think of this theory. Thanks for reading!
The snake is the red line, in this weeks chapter it’s referenced again.
i was being sarcastic lol caught up? ive been watching/reading one piece for 14 years already and you? my older brother has been reading it longer than ive been alive
The Artic, Hearts, Blackbeard and the forbidden Sun
In this theory I will follow multiple breadcrumbs across the manga that have been insistently pointing towards certain themes and that I think the community is ignoring at large. It all ties in in the end.
The Artic:
You might think the poles or the artic don’t even exist in OP world. You would be wrong, not only they exist, they have been referenced multiple times and there is proof Oda has given them thought. Im going to go across every single mention of the poles I can find in the series, and then explain how they connect.
We know how weather works in Grand Line, each island can feature crazy different weather and there isn’t much logic to it. But outside grand line the weather resembles real world. Including it being colder in the North and the Artic and the poles do exist in this world.
This is a very early map Oda did back when the characters were in loguetown. There are some extremely interesting details here. Apart from the route up to Loguetown, we can see only a few things, namely, grand line, red line, the blues, and those two kanji in the higher and lower center say south pole and north pole. The blue planet is mainly defined by grand line as an ecuator, red line as a meridian, and the poles, which are the most prominent cartographic features on a world map when you ignore the land, apart from that, the intersections between the ecuator and the prime meridians are Reverse Mountain and Mary Geoise. And even weirder detail. You can see two globes up in the center. The left one is our planet, with its 23.5 degrees inclined rotation axis. The goble next to it has it in an opposite angle. The only purpose this could possibly have is for Oda to place the Artic and the geographical North Pole in the North Blue instead of right on top of red line. Same for the South Blue and the South Pole.
We have seen Shanks and Buggy arguing about the Artic and the Antartic not once, but twice.
Quite a weird thing to include in such important flashbacks of some of the most important characters. The history even makes a point of them both never reaching Laugh Tale, Shanks wanting to form a pirate crew with Buggy and go there, and right now they are both heading for the one piece. What if all this is setting them up to end up going together to the artic or antartic regions. Oda even entertained a question about this in an SBS and said the Artic is ocean and the Antartic is land. You can bet on which one would a Pirate manga sail best.
There is also another slight hint to the polar areas. Have you seen tequila wolf? Have you noticed how its snowing. Turns out there is a bridge like this in each of the four blues. Oda confirmed in SBS 111 the one in Rogers flashback isn’t tequila wolf, but guess what? Its also snowing. And in Kumas visit to Tequila Wolf? Also snowing. This only means one thing when we are talking about the blues with normal weather. Those bridges are crossing northern or southern regions of the globe. Why would the world Nobles build those bridges? I’ll give you an answer, they want to connect the poles to Mary Geoise (more on that later).
There are more mentions or references to snowy lands and their people, they might be referencing the polar regions or some ice islands of grand line, but I hink its worth it to mention these references:
First, Luffy tells Sanji in Drum, that a guy in a bar told him that people in snowy regions don’t sleep.
Connect that to this page of Buggy telling Shanks about how blackbeard doesn’t sleep, with who was been seen with Luffy in a bar telling him crazy pirate stories and its pretty obvious this was Shanks telling him about Blackbeard. We can infer that blackbeard, or at least his race is from a snowy country. If you take into account that the Norh Pole has six months of continuous daylight and it would make sense for a race native to the pole to not sleep for six months.
Funnily enough, Luffy confuses rabbits with polar bears within a few pages of the conversation with Sanji and his mention of the snowy regions.
Then, there is Moria, who claims to have found Oars in the Land of Ice. With how important Ancient Giants are turning out to be, wouldn’t it make sense for his final resting place to be relevant somehow?
Chinjao also had his treasure in the Crystal Ice Sheet, and he claims it’s a continent, which pretty much is like saying its not an island in grand line.
Then we have the Yeti cool Brothers, two giants the size of ancient giants with furry characteristics said to come from yet another mysterious snow country. What are they? ancient giant-mink hybrids? To me, its yet another reference of ancient giants and icy lands. Even the Numbers, attemps to recreate ancient giants come from Punk Hazard which is today half snowy and yet another mysterious hybrid race with giant blood.
This one is very interesting, in Big Mom’s tea party, people give her gifts. Umit brings something from the farthest reaches of the North. And Morgan one from the distant south. Umit is basically saying it’s a gift from the polar regions of the north. Big Mom has incredible power, reach and wealth, she reigns over Totto Land, a country of 35 islands in new world, and places like Fishmand Island are considered her territory. And she is specially interested in races. There better be something unusual in those ice wastes and unexplored wonder in order for this to make any sense. And we saw Laffite in Umits base, he is going to play some sort of role in the attack to Mary Geoise.
We even know a few characters from the Artic. First, Surume, the kraken. Van der decken stated that he comes from the Artic.
Then, Hody threatens to kill Surume’s brother in the North Pole and Luffy promises to protect him. If Surume and Luffy ever met up again and this was setup for something, you can be sure it will happen in the Artic.
We have another big one: Law. Law will be very important in these theories, he is like a walking clue for them. Law is from the North Blue, he grew up in the polar regions and there are lots of references to it. First of all, his submarine is called Polar Tang (a tang is a surgeonfish). His entire crew is named after polar animals
In the manga we can see the island where the Ope Ope no Mi incident took place, it also shows the islands where Law started his pirate band and grew up. They are snowy and we can see bigger landmasses around them, probably red line. These islands weather, and the whole Polar theme to laws crew pretty much confirm this is the northern areas of the north blue. There is another detail. His flag.
Bepo (Polar bear) explicity mentions the freezing ports of the north where they started.
These lines in his flag represent the meridians intersecting at the north pole, yet another reference to the North Pole in his crew. There is another crew with a similar shape, Whitey Bay´s , whose ship is an icebreaker, the design is also in his windows and ship all over the place. Please note Blackbeard has this shape too and he is said to be from a snowy region as we explained before. Just google “artic flags”, most of them sport snowflakes (three crossed lines), a rose of the winds (crossed rumbuses, either 3 or 4 ) or straight out meridians crossing. BTW, check the design of the window in Tequila Wolf.
What is Kaido’s doing here? He is an oni, which if I had to guess are humans with ancient giant blood. We already stablished oars link to the icy areas. He has King, who surely knows secrets of the world and if they are located in the North or not. When Ace reached onigashima and Kaido wasn’t there, he was said to be in an expedition. Where could Kaido possibly be going on expeditions to? He said to have put great effort into obtaining Yamato’s devil fruit, an Ice deity fruit. At some point he also got the mammoth fruit that they gave to Jack. And Queen used the ice oni virus, where did he get that?. Things are starting to sound polar right? My theory: guided by Kings knowledge, they went on polar expeditions. Ancient giant blood is already linked to lands of ice, if oni are their offspring, this gains even more strength.
There is another huge thing rarely gets mentioned. The town of the beginning and the end, Loguetown, where the route to grand Line starts. The name of the island where Loguetown is? Polestar. This references Polaris, the pole star, widely used in navigation to locate the North. It’s a star that points north. It even got mentioned in the Harald flashback, with Harald showing a rose of the wind to some sailors, which is very similar to the cross of the meridians over the pole shape we saw in the flags.
And whats the last island in the route? Lodestar, lets just show a Wikipedia screenshot.
Both the start and the end of the route are named after stars that point North. And this a great reason why I think Laughtale is not just sitting in the middle of the ocean a bit further than Lodestar, laying near reverse mountain in an easily guessable area of the world. Everything points North!
And what is in the North Pole? Let me tell you.
Remember the mural?
It says there was fire WITHIN the earth. Mankind touched the forbidden sun. We can see fire all below the mural. A city seems to be powered by it. We can see people descending into the fire with an elevator of sorts, they come back with sparks (touching the forbidden sun). We see a tree. It must be either Eve or Adam, being white and Eve being the sunlight tree, it’s most likely Eve. Have you seen the Eve tree towering over Mary Geoise, absorbing sunlight to carry it through its roots to light fishman island? No, because it’s nowhere to be seen in any image of Mary Geoise or Red Line we have ever seen.
Lets analyze the World Government logo. What are the defining points of the blue planet? Mary Geoise, Grand Line, Red line, Reverse Mountain. What lies in the center? In the heart of the world?
What if I told you, we know there is empty space below the surface in One Piece world. How do I know? Have you seen Lulusia and Ennies Lobby? Water cant simply fall. People talk about force field. A force field wouldn’t have a waterfall, but a static wall of water. That water is dropping somewhere. There has to be an underground ocean (All blue?).
Have you heard of the hollow earth mythos? You can google it, Wikipedia has a great article, there are loads of stories and tales about underground worlds. Almost every culture has theirs, from the Tibetan underground city of Shamballa, to Jules Verne’s Journey to the Center of the Earth and conspiracy theories about subterranean races. Even some scientifics proposed a hollow Earth model at certain points in history. Its not always a whole hollow globe, sometimes its just a big cavern, it doesn’t need to be as extreme as the models I am providing.
Don’t tell me the empty throne doesn’t look similar to this common hollow earth model. With Mary Geoise and Reverse mountain at the side and the open poles. With a sun right at the heart of the world. A forbidden sun. Lands of wonder where Celestial Dragons could have their lands. A reason to make bridges from the poles to Mary Geoise. A reason for pirates to explore a location in the cold, outside of grand line. A place for the Eve tree to grow and have roots that would cross the earth to reach fishman Island. A place for that water in Lulusia to be falling to, later returning via Reverse mountain or some other connection to the surface, the balance being broken by the extra holes and the sea level rising. Its also a good reason to need 4 phoneglyphs to reach laughtale, since only with the fourth direction you would realize its pointing inside the globe. I used to think that there was going to be a city in the artic, with Vegapunks climate technology right in the center of the pole. But I started thinking it was maybe a hole into the planet what was there.
And don’t forget Oda’s sketch of the Blue Planet with holes in the poles (check image)
Not convinced? Look at all this symbology with the four markings and something in the middle. The world Government logo. Kuma’s church cross with the sun in the middle. Law’s tattoos, Kuma’s chest symbols. Even Shanks tattoo that he presumably got from the world government, which would imply those aren’t bones but arrows or hearts. Even Oars got the cross in his pants, and he died in the land of ice. He even has the three skulls similar to Blackbeard’s who we already stablished comes from a land of snow. And the Kouzuki clan banner has the cross and a sun in the middle too! EDIT: people pointed out a cross with a circle around the center in laws flashback and a cross with a circle in the center in Skypea too!
How would they go there? Easy, the top of the heaven realm in Elbaph could connect to the White Sea, they could navigate North from there. Mary Geoise could be connected to the underworld if you take all those symbols into consideration. We even have a way back. When we arrived at new world we saw all those giants whales. Many species of whales migrate to the Artic regions in the real world. And these were in a group as if they were migrating. And what do we see next to them? The whitestrom. In Luffys words: A magic warp. They are with Kuma which is pretty much a warp. There are ways.
There are more subtle references and themes like Akoiji having a penguin as a pet and the BB pirates having him on board, very convenient to reach the artic, or Imu´s giant strawhat chambers being frozen. Having a grand fleet member capable of opening the crystal ice continent, Nilfheim being traditionally considered an underground cold realm…
HEARTS:
Hearts:
This part is much shorter. Let me start with some fact based deductions:
During Big Mom´s flashback we learn one fact. Eating a devil fruit user whole makes you inherit his power, same way as if you ate the fruit. There are no alternatives around it, Carmel has to be dead for the power to be in BM´s possesion, there was no fruit around and Big Mom definetly ate her, giants were horrorized and we even see Streusen keeping his distance with her after witnessing that.
This fact leads to one deduction, there must be a certain part or organ of the human body that stores the devil fruit power. Oda even introduced an organ dealer chapters away from this flashback (the guy Katakuri killed because he was going for revenge in the tea party). Eating someones arm or leg wouldnt allow the transmission of the ability. It has to be a body part which removal would kill the user, otherwise people could lose their ability by losing an organ or body part. This leaves two possibilities. The heart or the brain.
When Blackbeard stole the devil fruit power, he used a black blanket so that people couldnt see. He wouldnt need to hide anything if it was just a matter of using his power on the corpse, after all, no one could copy his ability and it belongs to him until he dies. He had to somehow extract the power from WB. We deduced before that the power is in the heart or brain. WB happened to have a hole in his heart and another in his head. Perfect for BB to easily access whatever of the two has the devil fruit power. Did he eat the heart? thats sounds a bit too gory for One Piece, but we know something else about ability stealing. Its something Jesus Burgess could do alone without Blackbeard. He attempted it on Dressrosa, he pulled out a knife, thats a weird move for someone who doesnt use weapons normally. Im going to assume he was going to extract the heart.
This is not a novel concept, the aztects believed the SUN GOD had to be fed enemies hearts to keep the world from collapsing. The Scythians, Chinese, Maoris, Iroquois, Ashantee, Aztects and others ate their enemies hearts to gain their power. Its a belief that was held all around the globe in ancient cultures. There was even a recent case where there was video evidence of syrian rebels eating soldier hearts in 2013.
There is another detail. Trafalgar became a Sichibukai after the Rocky port incident, where he gave the marine 100 pirate hearts. We have only seen him extracting hearts of fruit users so far. Smoker, Caesar, Himself and Monet. These 100 pirates are revealed in the hachinosu chapters to be still alive in hachinosu. Why would Akainu´s Marine not execute them or blackbeard keep around puppets of the marines, both sides want something from them. What if this avoids their powers being stolen by blackbeard and also allows Vegapunk to experimient with those fruits. It makes no sense for law to deliver the hearts for them to not be used at all and the pirates being allowed to live in hachinosu freely but without their heart. Vegapunks replicates powers with green blood, which points in the direction of the heart.
The first reaction from his doctor after seeing Blackbeard acquire two fruits is a quite telling one: he wonders if its because of his strange body. Lets be clear, its not like Blackbeard has anything weird visible on his often naked torso. He probably auscultated him at some point and noticed something strange on his insides, what could a doctor with the resources a pirate doctor would have detect that we could link to devil fruits? Something strange about his heart.
The blackbeard pirates have been proven to be very interested in Ace´s fruit. It begs question why wouldnt they attempt to get it in Marineford, since ace was dead right there. There is a good reason, Aces heart was completely destroyed by Akainu, the heart couldnt be recovered. Akainu even clarifies that he missed the heart when he attacked Luffy, further proving that was his target all along, this gave Luffy a huge treasure-marker-looking cross scar over his heart, Law had to operate him very near the heart to heal him.
There is more, the two most important devil fruits are heavily linked to hearts. Ill start with the Nika fruit, not only the user has a huge cross scar over his heart, the drums of liberation that sounds when he awakened are literally his heartbeats. The other is even heavier. The ope ope no mi, said to be the ultimate devil fruit, the only other devil fruit shown to be chased by the government, able to give inmortality and key to accessing Mari Geoise´s secret. This fruit is shaped like a heart, has been used to extract hearts, was retrieved by Corazon (heart in spanish), the user is the captain of the Heart pirates and has heart tatoos.
Curiosly enough, when Brook is pretending to be a demon, he threatens the long-arms with eating their hearts. A pact with a demon where the demon takes your heart seems to be a concept in OP world.
Law basically is totally Polar + Heart themed, he is like a walking clue if these two theories are correct. How does this all tie in with Blackbeard?
Blackbeard is from a cold land.
Doesn’t sleep like an octopus (there is the myth that octopuses don’t sleep, they do, but they sleep very Little and in intermitent sessions, less than 1% of their time is spent on active sleep).
Octopuses have three hearts.
Krakens come from the North Pole in One Piece.
Blackbeard bounty is 3,996,000,000 which can be read in gorowase as San-ko-ko-ro. San kokoro means three hearts.
If the heart stores the fruit power, it would allow him to have three of them and he has a three theme.
His flag has the same pattern as the other two (Law and Whitey Bay) that are heavily linked to the poles.
This would mean he is either a kraken with a human zoan fruit or a human with an octopus/kraken fruit. Or some kind of octopus-based race.
There will be an important artic/antartic arc, maybe Laugh Tale is there. Lodestar is a star that points to the north and Laugh Tale cant simply be sitting after Lodestar, it must be somewhere else.
I have digging into a tangent theory, but I wanted to bring this up, since I think it not only is going to help understand D and what the Great Kingdom's name may have been, but could help relate to your theory:
We see in the holiest of places in Skypiea the cross/sun circle spread around, very similar to Kuma's church cross.
Good catch! The cross symbolism is something I caught later on, I’m sure there are lots of ones I missed
if the five elder planets revolve around imu and luffy is the sun i think we figure out something
Also @raw scarab and @forest rampart
It seems like all 3 of you are sneaking up on the same significant epiphany.
To briefly describe to each of you why you are addressing similar ideas:
Here is the theory Cookiez contributed: #manga-theories message
He describes a pre-void century world order ruled by Poseidon and makes some interesting connections to mermaids and mermaid-related imagery. He ponders the possibility these crosses are formed by mermaid tails. Similar to how HardRocker theorized they are formed by whale tails.
Here is the theory Articus contributed: #manga-theories message
He describes the possibility that this prevalent cross and other details may be related to a specific arctic region of the planet.
Here is a post made by Hellgrammite where he describes some pretty significant and sneaky examples of this cross. I think he made a really compelling argument that it is the same fundamental cross as we have seen on knights. One of his examples is from the Law flashback, which makes it even more related to Articus's theory. #manga-serious message
I just wanted to connect the three of you and indicate why I think all 3 of you seem to have caught the same scent in different ways. It may be easier to brainstorm in #manga-serious due to the strict slowmode in this channel, but of course feel free to discuss here as well if you feel so compelled.
oh nice thx for letting me know... i thought it was like a devil fruit in elbaf like a jormugandr devil fruit that no one giant was allowed to eat (but loki did prolyl)
I learnt a lot from your theory. Idk how the artic will play a part of the main story even that is very plausible. Your hearts theory is very good. And as you have mentioned, I still think it could be the brain instead of the heart that Blackbeard took. For the forbidden Sun, I have no idea about it. And since you also mentioned about the Reverse Mountain, perhaps it was because you have read my theory. If you interested, I think you might want to read up my full theory about it here #manga-theories message
Hi, I just read your theory, do you know about corkwood? It’s very near reverse mountain and it’s a 10km tall peak. It should be those level lines shown southwest of reverse mountain in the image where Nami is pointing at the map.
No I don't know what is corkwood
It’s just a peak oda marked on the old map. But it’s very interesting because it has the right height to connect to sky islands. And the name fits for a place to have the roots of the corkscrew shaped giant jack from Skypea. Your theory reminded me of it because of the talk of high peaks and your location for laugtale being very near.
It’s also on the west blue side of red line and gan Fal mentioned an alternative route to the White Sea called the “high west”
check this theory @slate burrow
Oh this in interesting. I wonder what are other theories about the alternative route to the White Sea
do you think the heaven world in Elbaph is one of the entrances to Skypiea? I didnt notice Gan Fal said there were more sky islands
that must be important for the endgame, considering Vepunk is predicting that the world will continue to sink no matter what.
The way Ganfal says it it seems you can come to the area the strawhats were in by following a route through several sky islands. “Island hopping” he says. Egghead ended up with the punks on sky island and contacting the people of weatheria. And the last remaining supernova to explore is a birkan, I’m convinced the heaven realm connects to the White sea
so the one piece world is supposedly a shell with two entrances at north and south???
that would be really cool, perhaps that’s how we meet Urouge as well? Do you think the WG will take over Elbaph tho? By the end of the arc? And the crew escape in the White Sea above them.
Loki seems to be familiar with that place. In chapter 1152 you can see him falling from the sky to the castle.
That’s the most extreme version of subterranean fiction (it’s a whole genre). Other are vast caves with seas and islands. Could be completely hollow or something different. The inner sun goes better with hollow though.
Subterranean fiction is a subgenre of speculative fiction, which focuses on fictional underground settings, sometimes at the center of the Earth or otherwise deep below the surface. The genre is based on, and has in turn influenced, the Hollow Earth theory.
The earliest works in the genre were Enlightenment-era philosophical or allegorical works...
So it might he true that joyboy has the same lineage as blackbeard, he also got the hito hito no mi nika at the same time. But tbh this sounds abit boring heh.
If this is true, the relevation that joyboy and blackbeard are coinherent then gonna be mind wobbling
Luffy having loki would be a luck to his lineup, as well as to loki as someone would actually care abt him aside from Mosa
I watched a vid about grandlinereview explaining a post abt one of the assisant (i think of oda or smt) said this leak abt op: "the final war has begun. luffy and his armies are fighting the devil (imu possibly) and his army who all have their powers from devil fruits. luffy has alredy become the pirate king at this point as he has both the pirates and the marines under him. and yes, the D's are the decendants of the devil they are fighting." this post was made in 2015 and it's crazy to see how it got right. for example, the goroseis all have mythical zoan devil fruits and the devil is imu. it says that luffy has already become the pirate king because how he united the marines and the pirates. over the manga/anime, luffy has bought ppl to his side and even hawkeye mihawk said luffy has the most dangerous power in the seas which is the power to turn people into his allies (maybe a hito hito no mi model nika thingi what do you think?) and maybe the one piece is the one piece when one person unites everyone. idk im new to the theory part of the one piece communtiy so yes.

Did anyone else notice that the first thing Estrid did was bring bad luck?
The first thing she does is shut the east facing window = east facing openings bring good luck and positivity.
Directly after she orders a mirror be destroyed but not just any mirror, mirror that has a connection to 5 stars (5 stars could be 5 individual stars or a pentagram)
But these actions are all maybe not conscious decisions but all these actions are dooming her to have bad luck and whilst there that is the only thing she has.
In a sense you could say Loki was born to be unlucky
theories here have to have evidence from the manga to back it up and in paragraph form not just an open line statement 🙏 if you could add a bit more to your theory that would be lovely and appreciated

Mother Flame fuel is the Soul
The big mural in Elbaph depicted the "First World" and we see humans descend into the Earth core and returning with what looks like a flame in their hands. What I think was a big struggle during the "First World" was slavery and in order to run the industrial cities they needed fuel. Eventually when normal natural resources started to run out, they started to look to humans and slaves.
Vegapunk's research revealed that a human's soul weigh 21 grams which means that the soul is a source of energy since mass is energy because of Einsteins theory of relativity E=mc2 (Vegapunk's character is a reference to Einstein).
What happened to Kuma turning into a robot and losing his soul is what I think happened to most slaves during the First World, harvesting human souls for fuel and turning the empty shell left after removing their souls into robots. The arrival of the Sun God was the thing that broke this evil cycle and freed the slaves and saved their souls.
If the Mother Flame fuel is the Soul then that means that would be the same source as Haki, so when Imu used the Mother Flame weapon it essentially is a massive Haki blast which could explain why the Sea doesn't fill the void left behind after the blast.
I'm starting to believe the theory that Usopp's mom, Banchina, is a hybrid race of Giant and Tontatta, the Zushindodo, as mentioned in recent SBS.
This would explains why Usopp is so close to the Tontattas and Giants.
He has the Tontatta and Giant's blood in him.
Maybe Banchina's illness is something very rare which is why Yasopp joined Shanks to find a cure.
Maybe Usopp has a chance to get this illness too and Banchina asked Yasopp to get the cure for Usopp instead of her.
The 21 grams thing is a reference to a real world experiment. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/21_grams_experiment
The 21 grams experiment refers to a study published in 1907 by Duncan MacDougall, a physician from Haverhill, Massachusetts. MacDougall hypothesized that souls have physical weight, and attempted to measure the mass lost by a human when the soul departed the body. MacDougall attempted to measure the mass change of six patients at the moment of d...
🌊 The True Meaning of One Piece — A Theory
What if One Piece is not just a treasure, not just history, or even freedom itself?
What if One Piece is hope — the ultimate will of the people?
In the world of One Piece, everything stems from human will and belief.
Haki isn’t just power. It’s the manifestation of one’s resolve. And beyond the advanced forms of Haki we’ve seen from legends like Roger or Shanks…
There may be another Haki — one born not from individuals, but from collective human hope.
Joy Boy’s “Haki,” the one that resonated across time and space, that even reached Imu, wasn’t just a strong aura.
It was the echo of humanity’s hope, the will of generations, stored and passed down.
The Sun God Nika may not have been a god at all — but rather, the spirit of liberation created by the people's yearning for light in an age of darkness.
Just like the sun rises because people believe it will, gods in One Piece are born from belief, not divinity.
Elbaf’s ancient tablet shows figures carrying something — not a weapon, but a burden.
And that burden… is hope.
In the end, One Piece might not be a place, or an object.
It might be the unity of all wills, the convergence of every laugh, every tear, every resistance against oppression.
One Piece is not gold. One Piece is not power.
One Piece… is hope.
And Luffy is the one who carries it.
To support the "new haki" theory we have seen roger, wb or shanks use advanced conquerors haki yes it was powerfull yes it is still powerfull but the thing is, When JoyBoy's haki released it created shockwaves it sent 5 elders to Mary Geoise it even made Imu tremble with his own haki after 800 years and i dont believe this was his true haki power joyboy was that strong because he carried the hopes of the people he didnt cary a single one's hope he was an answer to all mankind for hope thats why i believe there will be a new haki form born from collective human hope for the "one who carries it" and maybe it will be key to win the final war
Advanced conquerors haki its for the user itself, When god valley happened there was Figarland,Roger,Wb, Probably Rocks and much more advanced conquerors haki users but their haki doesnt even come close to what we have seen with JoyBoy he is that strong because his haki was created not from hope of a single one it was created by hopes of the mankind, But advanced conquerors only is for the user itself... And i might be wrong about what one piece is but "new haki" and as the vegapunk said Its something that covers us we all have it its around us shows us the one piece is created by hope itself everything is created by hopes of the mankind...
small question, if a human eats a human fruit, nothing happens.
Shouldn't it be exactly the same with a giant with the giant fruit, what about San Juan Wolf ? He is actually a giant, so he shouldnt get any perks from the fruit
@pulsar rapids can u check this theory?
why did you ping me???

@iron current can u check this theory? my main theory is the "new haki" theory based on hope
I’ll happily read it later today. Thanks for posting it
Thank u ❤️
Oda in an Interview (Jump Festa 2019):
“One Piece is not something like ‘the bonds of friendship.’ That kind of stuff is what I hate the most.”
Enlightment is your answer. Check SBS so you can learn more about the lore.
An interesting theory I made on my bed trying to sleep:
Pre void century:
In the op universe there is a special power source called the forbidden sun. The birkans ran out of resources on the moon so they decided to get to earth leaving some robots behind. However the people of earth enslaved the birkans, as they were capable of harvesting the power of the forbidden sun.
The enslaved eventually found a way to use the forbidden sun for themselves. Through their imaginations they developed certain powers using that energy like being able to turn into any animal or becoming a natural element. This caused the slaves to do a revolution against the government of that time and caused a deadly war.
The 4 strongest power holders were revered as gods, The sea god who was called poseidon, the forest god, the Earth god who had the power to destroy the world with his quakes and the one with the most ridiculous power in the world, the strongest of them all came to be known as the god of the sun, Nika.
Humans who had to defend themselves from the former slaves, created 2 weapons of mass destruction, pluton and poseidon. With these two powers they had the upper hand in the war and eventually ended up defeating the slaves. The war caused immense destruction and chaos bringing humanity to near extinction.
The forest god created a tree in his final moments, which would bear the power of the forbidden sun in the form of fruits. This also included the power of the sun god, the earth god and the forest god himself but in order for these powers to not fall into the wrong hands they required to be awakened, if the eater has the same will as the fruit the fruit will awaken and the eater will have full access to their powers.
Now we enter the void century. During the events of the prior war the world was separated in two halves by the earth god with the serpent of hellfire which came to be known as the red line. Humanity was able to recover and have a few years of peace.
However the ancient kingdom would again fall into the same trap of greed and try to touch the forbidden sun. They would yet again commit the same sins as the kingdom of the first world. 20 nations would ally opposing this and with the ancient weapons still existing war was inevitable. The prince of the ancient kingdom would sail out to the sea for freedom, finding allies on his journey to sail with him. These included emeth, zunesha, poseidon, nefertari D. lily of alabasta and many more. The first pirate finds the devil fruit of Nika and eats it, becoming a rubber person. He would go on to liberate the slaves and fight against the ancient kingdom.
The king of the ancient kingdom was the one who ate two devil fruits, the dark dark fruit and the quake quake fruit. But eating two devil fruits was supposed to be impossible. He was able to do this because the powers of the earth god were too great to be contained within a single fruit so they were split into two. The man who ends up eating both becomes the god of the earth.
The use of ancient weapons would yet again result in mass destruction, causing the sea levels to rise, however eventually the 20 kingdoms would win against the ancient kingdom and form a world government. To show that there is no single ruler of the world they decide to create an empty throne and would bury their swords in front of it, showing that they renounce war.
Nefertari D. Lily who was the queen of alabasta would kill all the other 20 kings including the sun god nika who came to be known around the world as 'Joyboy' and ascend to supremacy. Why would she do that? It is said that Zoan type devil fruits have a will of their own. Nefertari D. Lily was the one to eat the fruit of the forest god, who held a grudge against humanity for what they did during the first world. Now the forest god desires to rule over what he considered 'pests' taking the name of one of the 20 kings, Nerona Imu.
The forest god had the ability to grant certain powers to anyone. Poseidon enraged by what the forest god had done would curse him resulting in anyone with the forest god's powers to become hated by the sea. As a result even devil fruit eaters lost their ability to swim. The wano kingdom would try to stand against Imu, with pluton in their control. However without the mother flame both parties were unable to use their ancient weapons resulting the wano kingdom to be at a major disadvantage. They used sea prism stone to fight against imu's knights and carved the poneglyphs with the real history of the world and spread them to various locations.
To avoid being under the control of the world government Wano would close its borders, waiting for the arrival of the one who inherits Joyboy's will. The allies of Joyboy who were the Fishmen, Shandians, The kingdom of Alabasta and certain other countries would take the poneglyphs and protect them until the time is right.
Forgot to mention this but I also think that special races like Fishmen, Giants and Lunarians are the survivors of the first world who still held the power of the forbidden sun without them turning into devil fruits.
@harsh jacinth
That was a bad translation. Oda said more along the lines of finding yourself or being more human. It was kind of a joke answer, and probably nothing happens
THEORY - Loki's Connection to The Hellfire Serpent/Red Line
Depiction
This whole theory for me really stemmed from the mural. In the mural depicts a figure that looks like Loki on the left side and a figure that I assume is the Hellfire Serpent on the right side and they both have the same arrow-like/scaly marking across their bodies. I doubt this is a coincidence and if it is, it's pretty wasteful plot-wise.
Why I believe the person on the mural is Loki is because he looks to be fighting alongside Luffy(Nika) and all of his allies in an effort to beat Imu. That side of the mural is probably depicting the future since we already see Loki and Luffy declare their intentions to fight against Imu along with most of Luffy's allies who can also be attributed to figures on the left side of the mural.
Inherited Will
In the Harley Text it is said:
"The earth god raged, and with it's serpent of hellfire, shrouded the world in death and darkness."
And Loki introduces himself as:
"The Sun God who brings the world to an end"
It's becoming more and more clear how Loki and the Hellfire Serpent's actions kind of overlap. Although the serpent was shown as the one who sided against Nika. I think there's reason to believe the reincarnation if you will of the serpent, Loki, does exactly what he did those thousands of years ago just on Nika's side this time. Since throughout media the whole trope of a new morning as mentioned in the Harley text is frequently only acquired by destruction. And this destruction is described as a trademark for both the Hellfire Serpent and Nika which could explain why Loki mistook his role as Nika instead of the similar purpose of the Hellfire Serpent.
Setting
Loki introduces the Underworld as "The First World" which is also the same world as the Hellfire Serpent resided in. And Loki wasn't just imprisoned in this place, he was literally born and thrown into it minutes later. Throughout his childhood he turned the Underworld into his "personal playground" and it's pretty likely that this is where he spends most of his time. Almost like this is literally his realm. Just like the Serpent was shown to have lived in the same world.
Historical Significance
Loki has been recognized by the community as Oda's play on Sigurd "Snake-in-the-eye". And Sigurd, in question, was described to have eyes that depicted Ouroboros. What represents Ouroboros in One Piece? The Hellfire Serpent. As well as this, The Horse of Good Fortune is named Asla similar to Aslaug, the literal daughter of Sigurd. Now Elbaph isn't a 1-to-1 depiction of the entirety of Norse history and mythology but we also see in chapter 1136, the giants say the death of Asla(Aslaug, Sigurd's daughter) was a part of Loki's curse. And this detail for me confirms Loki to be Oda's play on Sigurd "Snake-in-the-eye". And Loki representing Sigurd makes it very likely that his serpent-like eyes are connected to the Hellfire Serpent just like Sigurd's eyes were a connection to Ouroboros. This being in addition to the Loki historically being connected to the world serpent, Jormungandr.
So, in conclusion, Loki's linked to the Hellfire Serpent. Not sure in what way yet but I have a feeling the remainder of this flashback will give us some information and possibly even fuel/confirmation for this theory.
THEORY - Kaido and Big mama is alive because they will help fight along side with luffy against the final battle with imu
Nice, but there's two key details I'd like to know so that we can retain this theory in here. How do you believe they survived their alleged deaths down into the volcanic pit? And why do you believe these two conqueror users and former Emperors would have a change of heart to support Luffy?
@dusky acorn @modest skiff how can I post a long theory without having to wait for the 1 min mute?
Big moms is alive 100% bc the shield of one of the giants and zeus r still living so thats mean shes alive bc is her devil fruit power
I have been thinking about what can happen after this arc. Considering that unlike other sagas, we don’t have a clear line of story to follow yet. The Yonko Saga that started on Punk Hazard took us on a linear route to Wano. Egghead was the beginning of the end, Oda used that arc to finally play out all the pieces he had on his board on route to the climax of the story. And Elbaph feels like the place to start this “story route” that will put the strawhats on their last journey in the series.
Keep in mind that I don’t believe that the final war of one piece (however that will go down to) won’t happen right after Elbaph, I also feel it’s too soon for a direct confrontation with BB. My guesses/predictions that I have in mind are based on current factors in the story.
As of chapter 1153, I believe these are the multiple routes that the strawhats could take after Elbaph:
OPTION NO. 1: The Luffy and Shanks meeting
Part 1: Loki’s Vivre Card
Loki has stated he knows exactly where Red Hair is now, that doesn't make any sense if he doesn't have a Vivre Card. Every time he tells Luffy about the subject he speaks in present tense. He also has stated that he’s not lying about knowing that information. The Elbaph arc has been huge, HUGE Shanks set up. So, the next arc could be wherever Shanks is located. It's either a random island that we haven’t heard of before or…
Part 2: Lodestar
I have a cool idea of Shanks being in Lodestar, the final island in the grandline, because having the meeting there will be an insanely satisfying moment in the story. If not, we meet Shanks in the next arc (who I think knows who the burn scar man is) and then we go to Lodestar.
Lodestar is a direct pun on the north star, something vikings used to use as navigation because it never moved. The island works the same and that's why the loge poses guide you to it. There is something on the island that helps you find out about Laughtale there and it's also the last island in the log pose. Oda aint skipping it because he likes to have those big moments of culmination for the crew. As we saw with entering the Grandline, arriving at the red line and entering the new world.
The term “Pole Star/North Star” was recently featured in chapter 1153 when the narrator said that Elbaph’s navigation’s skills were the envy of other nations. This information would explain why Gaban chose to live in this place as he was just confirmed in SBS 112 to be the navigator of the Roger Pirates. He is the one that could elaborate on why no one before them in 800 years ever got to Lodestar and give hints to what can be expected there. He also has some information that he wants to give to Luffy that might be related to Shanks.
These options are less detailed than the first one because I’m not 100% bought on them yet.
OPTION NO. 2: Helping Loki with Mosa
In chapter 1151 we find out that Mosa is in some type of danger, I don't think that Mosa is in Elbaph because Loki stated that he has never seen or met Mosa in person. And also Loki was asking for his/her location when he found out Mosa was in some type of danger. In this option, although telling Hajrudin the truth about what happened, Elbaph doesnt welcome Loki in open arms and he has to leave. Loki asks Luffy for help in finding and helping Mosa in whatever business that character is tied up with.
OPTION NO. 3: The crew catches up with Vivi
We already know that Vivi is actively reaching for the crew, knowing that her best option is to go with them in her current state. In this option, the Alabasta crew recognizes Vivi’s message in the newspaper and goes to look for Morgan’s location. Or, Vivi comes to them post Elbaph somehow.
OPTION NO. 4: Another Sky Island arc
The Sun World in Elbaph is so high that the white clouds that Skypiea had. The Astral world is at an even higher level and could be one of the entrances to the white sea that Gan Fall talked about. The Moon, Enel and Urouge are all connected to a plot point that Oda hasn’t had the chance to put in the front seat yet: Birka.
As Enel’s cover story revealed, the birkans went from the moon to the blue planet in search of resources. Urouge and Enel are descendants from the moon people and we know they’ll both return to the story at some point. Elbaph has the perfect way for it to happen in the Astral World. There’s no way we go to two of Elbaph’s worlds and leave without seeing the third.
P.S.: In chapter 1152, Loki seemingly drops from the sky. I think he came from the Astral World. Loki might be the one who guides us there after trusting Luffy.
OPTION NO. 5: Marijois Invasion
This one is the least likely because it feels insanely soon for the crew to storm up Marijois. But, in the instance for example that Imu and the Holy Knights win and take over Elbaph, it could happen. The term “winning” here is not Imu beating Luffy in a fight, it’s successfully kidnapping the kids and Dorry and Broggy killing Jarul. If they take the kids and then dip into Marijois to deal with whatever they have there, the giants will have to follow the WG’s commands as mercenaries in the final war. Unless they choose to invade Marijois and take everything back. This option is too crazy for me to believe in but it is a valid option to be explored. This arc would function like Water 7 → Enies Lobby.
In this case Elbaph → Marijois

@lofty trench Just reposting your response under here so Soos can have their theory as one whole concise post with nothing in-between. Appreciate your understanding
I read it and I think I am very leaned towards both option 1 and 3, I think the connection you made regarding the mention of pole star and the comment about other kingdoms being envious of the navy really made me affirmative about the fact that next island is lodestar. I think especially since we have the navigator of roger's crew here, it would make way more sense for us to get the lore drop revolving around the upcoming route and like I don't think any location would make more sense than lodestar atp of the story , contrary to the popular belief I don't think enel or birkas will be relevant and I think if they were supposed to be relevant we should have got the focus on them way before... About urogue I think his story line will be tied up with bb pirated in some other way but that's a discussion for a different day
While I do agree with the next island being lodestart part, I don't necessarily see eye to eye with shanks part.. like I had this strong bias that luffy and shanks would meet at elbaf ,my reasoning was that like the promise for meeting was when luffy becomes a great pirate and my personal bias said that there was no better point to meet than them meeting when luffy comes on the eqivalent level as shanks, most convenient arc for that to happen would be at elbaf but since that doesn't seem like the route oda is following, I am more leaned towards the fact that oda is like waiting for like the biggest stage which is the laugh tale to have the reunion.. It is kinda crazy idea to think they will meet like that but yeah I am more so aligned toward that.
About the option 2, I think that will be tied up to elbaf arc somehow.. too early to like consider mosa as someone so relevant that we get a completely different arc just for them. Option 3 is glaring in our faces with the panel u sent...like it is actually clear with that newspaper message that vivi and sh will be back together and I think it can be intertwined with visiting lodestar part.
I agree with your option 5 reasoning, I am believer of war after one piece is found
@sinful nebulaplease read channel description
I do belive the final war will start during the elbaph arc. But not with the SH's involved - yet -
1- Everything will ripple from the action on elbaph and what's happenning on Marijoie. Some giant will be snatched by Imu which will retreat from Elbaph with some of his prizes
2- Blackbeard will make his move and will probably either attack Wano / Fishman Island to gather some forces against the WG and will also take control of many of the pacifista, and maybe the seraphim. He will realise he'll need a power source to make Pluton works and will probably invade egghead somehow to take control of the Mother's flame. He'll wait for the revolutionnaries to either exhaust themselves or will aid the WG to become a Celestial dragon and sneak inside the holy land.
3- BB will also split his crew and make some follow or sneak on Luffy's progress. When he'll learn they found Laugh tale he will make his move to follow them.
4- Shanks will stop BB at Lodestar, but will eventually be defeated there.
5- Luffy will find the OP, uncover the truth, but BB will ultimately steal the OP from him in a bastardly move.
6- BB will use the OP to defeat Imu, and control the world with Imu's fruit and his Ancient Weapons
7- Luffy will travel to marijoie for vengeance and freedom and both Luffy and BB will fight there and their fight will destroy the red line.
There will be two key battle :
1- The battle for Marijoie
2- The battle for the one piece ( with all the Emperors + unknown parties )
While I can where your view stem from, I just don't like the concept of final war starting before the one piece is found out simply because of the various hints spread out throughout the series that hint towards one piece's discovery throwing the world into chaos... so I think if anything one piece should be the trigger to the final war and nothing else except it should be the trigger.
Also the whole bb thing is something I find plausible till the part of egghead, like especially since he got caribout now him making moves either on wano or on fmi will definitely be possible but again this won't be a direct altercation with the wg as both nations are not really protected by wg or something and it will be just an altercation with the nation force.. Apart from that I don't really love the idea of whole thing revolving bb,imu and shanks.. like I definitely would like these 3 to get involved with each other in some way or another but just not a fan of the idea that you proposed... I personally lean towards either having luffy vs bb at laugh tale or having a 3 way war at mariejoie after the one piece is found between bb,shs and imu
Well, I may agree that some part sounds still sketchy since I don't know how all will fall into place, but BB defeating Imu and then facing Luffy is for me almost a given. Particularly when Luffy will face Imu right now in Elbaf, it's a way for Oda to give the reader this fight, because it won't happen after because BB will defeat Imu. ( IMO )
BB always had the goal to reach for " the world " if he doesnt reach that goal before the end of the story his whole motivation and actions will be dull. He got a plan, he knows stuff others don't, and his hyped as the final antagonist since the beginning. Imu will just be a stepping stone to place him in the " ultimate threat " place after he will defeat him. We know how terrifying Imu is, BB with Imu's power will be even more terrifying
I think imu having his time to shine would be perfect in a backstory during the void century and not in the current story, so yeah I would agree with you.
you think there’s going to be multiple people getting to Laughtale besides the strawhats? Or just the strawhats and the red hair pirates?
oh okey mb
What is makinos baby is luffys kid because every time we see the baby and makino there always talking about Luffy and missing him but most people think it's shanks but if you think about it Luffy left windmill village at 17 and was only away for a couple of months before the time skip and after the time skip the baby showed up and he looks like a year old and if the father is shanks why is the babys hair more black than red
What if makino is actually a succubus and successfully seduced a minor who doesn't interest women

I could believe that

i think luffy meeting up with shanks at lodestar makes sense
because genuinely idk what they will really do storywise during lodestar
def yeah, I dont know where else can Oda have them meet if not in that island
Is Captain John from the Rocks pirates related to Buggy?
No, I don't think so. He's only interested in his treasures.
Akainu might be a mythical zoan user its not basically my theory so All of the previous Fleet Admirals were mythical zoan user and the thing is I saw a video about A hawaian god named Pele So if we look at Akainu's Shirt there is some flower designs like hawai style and he has a flower designed tattoo And if we look at the island where he is fighting kuzan we can see some volcanoes there The hawaian god name is Pele The Goddess of volcanoes and fire i dont think magu magu no mi has the ability to create volcanoes, I cant send the pictures but U can search Akainu flower tattoo, Akainu figthing with kuzan island and if u just search up akainu U can see a rose in his admiral uniform and flower design in his shirt And if we get confirmation of Kong's devil fruit being Hito Hito no mi Model:Wukong i think there is a strong possibility Akainu's fruit is a mythical zoan Hito Hito no mi Model:Pele
Akainu is the forest god
Tbh it can be both but i strongly believe its not a Logia like before the Gear 5 stuff we tought luffy had gomu gomu no mi i just think akainu's df is not a logia its a myhtical zoan
But if i had to make a guess i would think Hito Hito no mi Model Pele suits him better because i think Imu wields the power of the forest god think of it all the time we see Imu its always with flowers, butterflys and stuff Or its Dragon but Dragon might be the weather god because all the time we seen him in action its either raining or thunderstrom if we consider Weathers as Forest stuff he might be an contestant too
The forest bears the will of rebirth as does volcanoes and as does akainu, just as the sun bears the will of freedom as does silliness or even just rubber and as does luffy
@modest skiff can u check my theories First and the main one is The Hito Hito no mi Model Pele user being Akainu second one is Imu or dragon wielding the Forest or Weather god fruits
So like, could will of D not be referring to dawn or anything else we think, but perhaps be referring to the Nika heartbeat? Trying to keep it alive throughout history. Doom dut da da
Theory Theory no mi time.
I think, at some point a former marine will join luffys crew. There are 3 main contenders:
Fugitora - determined to break the wheel, his loyalty will certainly not remain with imu when the time comes.
Kizaru - already helped luffy vs Saturn, has shown his loyalty to his friends despite his role, fan of nika, unlikely to stand with imu.
Kuzan - has shown to be sympathetic to the straw hats in some ways at times. Mostly Robin, will he stay loyal to BB til the end or is this all part of a bigger plan.
Wild card - Smoker
I feel like one of the above has the potential to join the straw hats, I also feel more than one of them will ultimately assist them in future battles more profoundly than they currently have.
Thoughts?
Looking at the story so far, I'd bet its something to do with the members of joyboys crew/alliance. A secret letter added to their names, a group of "dreamers" or dream of a new "dawn". I don't think it will entail anything race related or power orientated
Random thought i just had:
What if Lola didn't just reject Loki because he wasn't her type/because he's a giant? Do you think she also rejected him because Loki trusted Lola at some point to the point where he showed his eyes to her or something and she immediately got terrified from it?
It's a random thought that could easily be dismissed, but I thought it was interesting.
Dunno I always assumed she just didn't want to be told who to love. Big mum used her kids for politics and alliances. Naturally ppl reject that
Just doesn’t feel right for any character. Especially Kuzan. I think most, if not all of these characters will contribute to the general “good guy” cause. It’s just that they can be more effective in their own roles outside the crew.
Honestly, I think this applies to Vivi as well. She is in a stronger position not aboard the Sunny, narratively speaking.
Out of any of these people, I would have pegged Smoker for nakama. He has that rapport and personal history with the SH’s, and has been sympathetic to their goals a couple of times. Not to mention, he looks up to Kuzan and has seen his mentor part ways with the marines to enact his personal justice. Still, it would be counter to his character as we’ve seen it. If it were going to happen, we would have at least seeded that idea by now, like how we saw Luffy inspire Jinbe. And since Smoker has the closest ties and even he hasn’t been foreshadowed to make that flip, I can’t buy it for any of the rest.
Can i post here my One Piece Theory, i think i found out what the One Piece is
Here’s my specific issues with the admirals:
Fuji clearly has an agenda behind joining the marines. It goes deeper than ending the warlords, he still has unfinished business. If he changes factions at any point, he’s more aligned with the RA. He could also remain a leader of the “good marines”
Kuzan is solidly entrenched with the BB pirates for better or worse. Whatever personal thing he’s trying to achieve, this is the crew he’s going to do it with. Even if he has an 11th hour flip, there wouldn’t be room in the story to make him a Strawhat, just an ally.
Kizaru on Egghead got to confirm Luffy’s strength and resolve for himself. He saw all of his old friends align with Luffy, and he still couldn’t bring himself to change sides. There will never be a better opportunity for him to have done it, so it’s almost definitely not happening
My Theory: “One Piece” as an Ancient Spaceship
In the world of One Piece, countless mysterious symbols and phenomena make far more sense when viewed through a cosmic lens. I propose that the legendary “One Piece” is actually an extraterrestrial spacecraf -> an UFO.
-
Celestial Dragons and Their Space-Suit-Like Attire, the World Nobles wear elaborate outfits resembling helmets and protective suits, much like space gear. Perhaps they are descendants of the aliens who first arrived on Earth aboard the UFO.
-
Imu’s weapon of destruction bears a striking resemblance to a replica UFO. It’s possible that Ruffy used the original ship to cut through the Red Line with a focused laser beam.
-
Back then, when Luffy wanted to go to Skypiea, everyone laughed at him too because no one thought it was possible. That means I consider it more than just possible that it’s exactly the same reason why Rayleigh laughed and everyone who heard the dream.
-
On the final page of the very first manga volume, Eiichirō Oda himself wears an alien mask. A wink to the fact that One Piece’s deepest secrets lie beyond our planet.
-
If the UFO’s laser severed the Red Line, the world’s oceans would merge, dropping sea levels by roughly 300 meters and reuniting the seas.
-
I also assume that in the lost century, the aliens (Celestial Dragons) fled from their home planet to the One Piece world and wanted to live there, but conflicts arose, and thus the war began. That would also explain why Vegapunk cannot say who is in the right.
-
If the One Piece is a spaceship, Nami could map the entire world from orbit.
-
I also think that the last island cannot be found because it is the spaceship, and the Lockpod can only find islands and cannot locate spaceships. I suspect that the spaceship is disguised as an island, covered with rocks and soil so that no one can find it.
I dont know how much of that is Realsitic...
You’re not wrong that space travel will be relevant to the Blue Planet’s history. And I firmly agree that the One Piece is going to be related to lowering the sea level.
I can’t see it being a space ship, though. It’s not unique enough to hide for 800 years. Enel was able to do it himself, and even a balloon can take you to the moon. Besides, it doesn’t answer why Roger was too early.
What if the Technolgy to Use it, wasnt discoverd at that time. I mean, you need Vagapunk or Franky to use it correctly.
It’s not impossible. There are power sources Roger didn’t have. Mother Flame is clearly needed to pull off the devastating laser blast that erased Lulusia, still, we could imagine just moving Uranus could be accomplished without it. Given that it’s implied the moon city Burka ran on mother flame, and Enel was able to power it with more conventional means.
The other option is Luffy’s drum rhythm. That could have some kind of energizing effect, since Emet responded to it, although I’m thinking Emet has had some reserve the whole time and he’s just moving because he wanted to see Joyboy.
It’s more implied that Roger was too early because it’s important to have Luffy’s power and Poseidon. Could be a G5 powered ship, we’ll see. Just feels a little too much like Uranus if so
Ultimately kizaru helped luffy, infront of Saturn. That's huge. I feel there's definitely room for something to grow from this. Like I said, it may not be joining the crew but fighting with them. Fuji I agree he does seem more RA, but also has been very emotional regarding luffy an the man he is. Again, may not join officially but certainly will help.
Now BB is supposed to be the opposite of luffy in everyway, he has 2 former marines. I still believe a former marine will join by the time that battle happens. Do we honestly believe oda will finish this story that fast? I don't believe so. Way too much hype an money to be earnt. They will keep this going another 10 years imo. No shareholders will want anything less. Not hard to achieve either, with the amount if story left to tell they could easily drag this on for ages, I think by time the final battles happen we will see something like a time skip where luffy becomes more adult looking. I don't believe in his current age he will achieve everything. They could give us back story after back story, turn each holy Knight / elders into big bosses that take years to bring down. Money talks, one piece has endless possibilities. No way will it end any time soon
Not specific to this chapter, but I've been thinking about Shanks and Shamrock. Since its been revealed that Shamrocks sword is Cerberus, I wonder if Shanks' sword, Gryphon, can also transform and it just hasn't been shown. Or if Garlin's sword is called Typhon since thats the father of both the gryphon and cerberus in Greek mythology.
Just my thoughts on this
- The Celestial Dragons are clearly stated to be royals of 20 different nations across the world that gathered at Mary geois 800 years ago. Their helmets are just to showcase their belief that they are gods and so shouldn't breath the same air as everyone else.
- The people that laughed at Luffy were residents of Mocktown. That name suggests that the residents won't take anything seriously. Anyone who matters (Doffy, Roger, Oden, WB, BB, Kaido, and most likely a good majority of marines) would not laugh at the existence of sky islands.
- Nami fulfilling her dream by flying around would also undermine her entire skillset of being a navigator.
- There have been several examples of how wacky navigation is within the grand line, so it is not a huge stretch to say Laughtale can't be picked up by a logpose.
Teach is two twin brothers with a birth defect that jammed both souls in a single body; after this chapter, knowing that blackbeard was really rocks' biologoical son, it's become easier to piece things together about blackbeard's mysterious body:
- this would explain why he's able to wield two devil fruit powers at once
- buggy's gossip about how he never sleeps makes more sense when you think about how one soul can sleep while the other stays awake
- luffy and zoro calling him "they" in mock town
- teach's sudden shift in mood and preferences in same place
what do you guys think? it could also be multiple twins, not just two
The Rocks thing makes me think there is definitely something more to it than Blackbeard absorbing his twin.
Also point 3 is them talking about Blackbeard’s crew. It’s silly to think they could sense another soul in him
even if it's the blackbeard pirates crew that they sensed, it's probably luffy and zoro starting to develop observation haki; oda could have started working on the concept of haki from this chapter given blackbeard hinted about it, claiming how luffy's bounty doesn't match his strength (without seeing him in combat) and all
in this case, it could be also possible that - along the other bb crew - they sensed an extra presence that happened to be the second soul in blackbeard
If two people who don’t even have haki can sense something weird about him, Marco or none of the WB pirates would have been taken off guard by the reveal at marineford
Is the frozen Giant army on Punk Hazard?
seemingly yes
Considering Oars is a giant that was large even among giants and had to be kept in cold storage, and when we saw Moria fight Kaido it was a winter island, is it possible Moria was raiding Punk Hazard?
wasn't punk hazard like a summer/spring island before aokiji and akainu battled?
Moria and Kaido fought in Wano
Probably need to recheck my timeline then
Punk Hazard was tropical when VP first set up shop. I always figured those giants were brought in from somewhere else, or created there

they have to be giant ships that have freezers powerful enough to keep the giants frozen; with the number of giants, the funding can only be possible with someone super rich or organizations who can afford such risky trips like the WG
yeah my theory aint me joking lil bro
Not seeing anything about that from what i can find. All they said was that the island was transformed after the battle, and the crater in the middle was not there before
so is the hiruluk == xebec theory dead? someone tell me what you think?
Evidence: latest chapter
Is this ok mods? come on
i think there was a panel or two in the manga that showed old punk hazard, but i don't know if i'm remembering wrong or i'm mixing it with the anime
@keen trellis if you wanna post your theory of Hiruluk is Xebec im fine with that, but not just a one liner
You’re right, there was for sure palm trees there, i retract my statement, which makes my theory much weaker, wah. Punk hazard will still be important and it has more secrets for sure. It seems like the opposite of Egghead then, which is a winter island made tropical
can someone become so slender under the wintry environments of drum island? it'd take quite some time for someone to have such a bodily transformation i think; plus i don't think rocks would resort to becoming a charlatan/quack doctor unless it had something to do with him becoming more unhinged in his piracy years
what kinda goofy ass shit, ok
so what particularly were in the chests during the god valley incident, we know kuma and kaido’s fruits were in them, so it’s very likely that the other chests contained fruits as well and i think they are fruits that the blackbeard crew were trying to get a hold of. i feel it would make sense in the way blackbeard is trying to achieve what his father couldn’t by the end. conquering the world being the main goal ofc, but trying to achieve what Rocks was trying to do in God Valley makes sense too. so Ace, Moria, and Boa’s fruits could’ve likely been in those chests. they all tried to get these fruits but failed, i do think one fruit was achieved to get tho and i think it’s devon’s fruit. because they mustve gotten one of them at least and why im thinking devon’s is that it has a way bigger purpose in the story. i think that could’ve been Rocks’ fruit. and im not saying Rocks always had this fruit, im starting to believe his whole life as a pirate, he didn’t have any fruit, he was just like Roger in that case. I think it’s hard to believe Rocks didn’t get ahold of one of the chests during the god valley incident knowing how powerful he is. Honestly he could’ve been the one who swapped the fruit with baby Shanks, just due to how Rocks treats kids like Loki and most likely deserting his own kid. Even though Rocks very well couldve been defeated, i think he got away, using that fruit to disguise himself
I don’t agree with the theory but we did see from Denjiro that transformations can happen with just raw emotion.
i don’t think the government killed Rocks, that’s what they want you to believe just to give the government a pat on the back. no one knew what really happened to Rocks, due to him literally changing his identity, the timeline of Hiriluk going back to Drum Island to become a doctor literally a year after The God Valley Incident happened. It was highlighted that everyone was starting to forget Rocks existed, that’s what the government wanted, but Hiriluk’s most iconic quote is “a man dies when he’s forgotten” and he’s right due to both of his kids making his old and new dream a reality
there's something that doesn't sit right with the government's story tbh; how could people forget about rocks if he was essentially a terrorist who was a menace to the world government? i think it has something to do with a giant machine that uses something like pudding's fruit
I think he got hit with the same disease Roger did, i only think Rocks got the worse of it, nearly to the brink of death until he found the cherry blossom trees. From then on he went back to his home kingdom, to find a cure for himself and for other people since those cherry blossoms changed his perspective on life
here is the old theory
I’m not meaning to be mean about it, but what does this add for either of their characters if it’s true?
I feel like showing big mom in the beginning of the chapter has to mean more than a history lesson, I think it might be possible that Rocks is tracking her down to have his soul put into Blackbeard (as far as we know his only son) because I think he’s dying from the same disease that was killing Roger
if thats the case then that might be a reason why blackbeard is so ruthless
IF he is dying from the same disease is it possible that he is the reason Roger had it in the first place? I think this is highly likely
it could be smth that happened at god valley perhaps?
Could it be possible he is after Law to separate himself from blackbeards body, nobody wants to be stuck sharing a body forever
Don’t know if this has been said but I think he could have the op op fruit with the mountain getting sliced and his finger placement in the intro. Just my headcanon on it tho
xebec + blackbbeard co-op?!!
I’ve seen talk about him having it and making Blackbeard immortal but I don’t find that likely
I think how they defeated Rocks is a half truth, Rocks never actually “fought” as the fight was interrupted as he died (having had his soul placed in another body because he was dying of an incurable disease) but in the brief scuffle Roger came into contact with his blood infecting himself, but a success story is easier to sell for ages rather than the latter
Better than that, the bara bara
I think Imu is an original member of the D clan and spoke out against “Nika” believing that there should be control and only those who are “Special” in this world should have absolute freedom thus they were cast out and formed the world government
I believe that BB will topple Imu and will take control of the WG, many will defect but the other will be turned into Oni. Luffy will assemble the defector and his allies to destroy BB
I do believe that Imu shown up on God Valley to stop Xebec. He didnt show himself directly but taking control of a HK and doing it Gunko style most probably happened.
In the end the chaos was so important that the island ended up destroyed, either because of WB if he already had his fruit, or because Imu had some stuff up his sleeve to remove the island from the map ( not with Uranus though ) ( or because Xebec had the Tremor fruit at this time and WB ended up taking it later , which would explain why BB wanted to take it back from WB specifically )
"frozen army of giants"
What if the Cool Yeti brothers are part of this group.
This still works with my two souls theory which I feel like adds up mainly because of what we’ve been told about devil fruits and the fact that Blackbeard never sleeps
This could also explain the multiple personalities and he would join whitebeards crew as he saw “his” devil fruit and immediately from that second started planning on getting it back
Dude I've had the 2 soul theory for a while now. I been talking to my girl about it. So glad I'm not the only one. I genuinely think rocks soul is in black beard.
Idk how yet but I feel like WB knew Xebec had a son took him with him to try and save and raise him thinking he could make sure he isn't gonna be like rocks. Then when BB killed his crew mate took the fruit and left. Shanks ended up fighting him, went to go see WB, then WB told shanks about his origin and fears and then shanks told the gorosei about a certain pirate. Plus 2 souls helps with the no sleep part. I just am missing a few pieces to the puzzle. @sullen widget
I also think shanks still has connections to the WG you know what they say “you can’t just leave the mafia”, I think the reveal of shamrock was to throw us off, but I don’t think Shanks didn’t know all along, and I think he knows a lot more about everything than we think
I do too, that's why we know so little of what he's been doing.
I genuinely think
Based on How Rocks is an Admiral Killer
Blackbeard would also kill an Admiral
I did suspect of it being to stab Kuzan in the back
But I don't see Ice being a good combo to his darkness
What BB lacks mostly is Dodging attacks/Speed
I feel like BlackBeard would fight Kizaru in the Forseeable Future
and Steal His Glint Glint Fruit.
(Considering Kizaru is just a loyal navy servant and won't take any initiatives aside from saving luffy in Egghead)
He's more likely to die than any other Admiral rn in terms of Plot
My theory is
Bartolomeo is son of Rock's
Given this channel’s rules, could you please elaborate? Do you have in-story evidence to prove it
Yeah I thought that too, the SFX is the same as well
Vista is an interesting character that randomly popped up in my mind. What are your thoughts on his powers?
Those roses that comes out from him, like is it possibly a devil fruit power that he ate, or possible that it’s an inanimate devil fruit as in the sword pretty much can manipulate flowers?
Or is this just some kind of unexplained supernatural that one piece does well keeping it lowkey such as:
Marianne’s Color Trap
Jango’s hypnotism
Even Gedatsu’s weird Comedic Reality Manipulation like JJK Takaba
Oracle powers from that one emo mermaid girl
Lao G store youth to old age
I think their visual vibes looks kinda similar to me:
Wild Hair, clothes, Devilish Grins, no eyebrows, similar lips and eye design.
Both cause chaos, mock nobles. Bartolomeo hate world govt. Xebec tried to overthrow it. Both have strong anti establishment ideologies.
Mostly I'm imagining Xebec would have Black and Green color hair
shanks having different hair color than his father still possible. Oda has hidden big family reveals before. Ace, Dragon, SHANKS so it’s possible Bartolomeo has secret lineage too. Maybe.
#manga-serious is probably a better place for this since it’s more of a brainstorm than a theory. Also could you please remove the JJK reference? We try to keep the manga channels OP-specific to avoid ppl unintentionally spoiling each other.
My theory:
It seems like Xebec wanted to be king of the world, It seems like BB wants to be King of the world too.
It is implied that Joyboy was aiming to be King of something, perhaps world. But in the end Imu won.
Luffy, wants to be king of the pirates because then he'll be the freesest!
EOS, I reckon Luffy is going to be presented with being king of the world, Nika fruit might play a role in influencing him but in the end, he is going to refuse, saying if he's king of the world, he won't be free cos he'll have too much responsibility or something like that.
He'll get fed up with world politics have the power to demolish monarchy and announce that people/countries should follow the leadership of people they want and thus leading the world in a more democratic ideology. Right now its most monarchy with a few exceptions.
Luffy is going to change the world and that's what IMU is afraid of. No more kings, no more birthrights just because you were born into nobility. The world will be free to choose their leaders. This is also when we trully see luffy is not joyboy but just monkey d luffy.
I agree with you but I also see a side of luffy which may attempt making the world into anarchy instead of choosing their leaders
I feel like this is crazy that nobody's talking about this but at the beginning of the chapter the narrator says "Jarul , the oldest living man in present day" do we think this is foreshadowing that Imu is a woman since they are definitely older than Jarul who is 408?
I feel this was a hint of Franky's family or origin where Jarul and Harald are talking about reverie
The bridge names that are revealed so far (tequila, vodka, bourbon rum) is used to make Long Island ice tea
Bourbon isn’t in a Long Island, it should’ve been Gin in that case. Only clear alcohol in LIIT.
Didn't oda originally plan for bkackbeard to have 2 sisters or something. I remember seeing early drawings he did that included 2 sisters.
Xebec is living inside Blackbeard, and he took over the body to scar Shanks. Later, Shanks met with the Gorosei and told them about "a certain pirate". That pirate is Xebec, and he's also the lurking legend Oda talked about. He's the version of Blackbeard that shows up when he has full teeth, as in Chapter 581, where Blackbeard tells prisoners that he'll take the strongest ones with him, just like Xebec recruited strong members that weren't friends, in order to achieve a common goal.
Yeah this is always a possibility. However shanks was only young back then I don't see rocks having a grudge against him personally.
Xebec doesn't need to have a grudge to take over and scar Shanks.
Blackbeard clearly has a grudge tho
An also he won't be the lurking legend, that legend is the one who has the last road poneglyth. Which we know blackbeard doesn't have
Also Rocks was powerful, so much so it took garp an Roger to defeat him. This doesn't line up with bkackbeard in battle in any scene we have seen. Marineford would of been very different
No. The lurking legend is "the greatest enemy ever for the Straw Hats", and the editor's note this chapter says "The Legend appears!"
So I don't think he has rocks inside, I think itl be siblings, oda did originally write him as having 2 sisters from early sketches
As I said, he's the version of Blackbeard with full teeth only, as in Chapter 581. And Blackbeard is still rising, he's not at his full power. A vessel need not allow its user to use his peak power.
There's loads of legends in one piece, if he doesn't include 'lurking' then it's not the same one. If odas gonna reveal it won't be ambiguous.
Nah If rocks was in blackbeard he would of killed luffy an ace himself. Just doesn't fit
So you're suggesting that "the greatest enemy ever for the Straw Hats" is a random guy with the last road poneglyph? An enemy greater than Imu or EOS Blackbeard?
Yes and Ace learnt about them. That's the other possibility, but I think it's not the case due to Shanks' scar.
Not a clue, that's what odas suggested not me 😆
So on one hand ur saying he doesn't have his powers an on the other ur saying he does. That's a Contradiction. He either has it or he doesn't there's no in-between. Strong enough to hurt shanks like that but not strong enough to fight that way in msrineford/impel down ect. Doesn't add up lad
Don't get me wrong I could see oda pulling this off as being rocks inside. But there's alot of holes in reality. Most likely due to him dragging the story out 20 years longer than planned, adding things like haki ect that weren't planned during those arcs
I definitely think that kaido is in somehow related to Loki the parallels between their attempted suicide the weapons and the horns on their head now we'll have to wait until we get the official color for Loki but if his horns have the purplish Hue to the tip like kaido and Yamato I feel like that could be confirmation that kaido has ancient giant blood maybe he's mixed with buccaneer hence why he's so much shorter than loki and his brother
i'mma leave this idea here quickly,
the admiral xebec killed had the yami yami fruit and he wanted it (same as his son later), due to their race they have multiple hearts which is a worldwide/widespread thought... multiple hearts are the only thing that can explain using multiple DFs since vegapunk himself worked on fruit based on lineage and (green) blood (on the seraphim), so later on god valley we might see a monster fighting with top physical power, top level haki and at 2/3 DFs.
roger or garp cannot defeat this unless if they're allied... they're not usopp-sama...
Aren't the 5 elders 900 years old ? Maybe imu and the 5 elders aren't human. Or they don't count because their time has been stopped.
Objects can have DF powers too. So doesn't need to be as big of a mystery as this. They could be tied to his rings for example.
Incorrect. He can have the power without fully being able to use it yet.
Kaido was part of the Rocks crew though. And Loki is a child when he meets Rocks. So its quite implausible that he had a kid that then grew up 15 years and then joined Rocks
Oh wait u wrote just related my dumbass thought u meant like father and son or smth
Then he wouldn't of been able ti strike shanks all that time ago....problem we have still is if rocks is in blackbeard, how did he get there using what power. Bb has 2 DFs so if rocks had one, then how does BB have 2.
From what we've seen rocks symbolises 2s and BB 3s. Maybe if the story Is rocks had someone inside him to start with then went inside BB that would equal 3. Far fetched but there is a number thing going on an the assumption is BB = 3. Early oda sketches portrayed BB as having 2 sisters so that was Mt assumption in a sense early on. I think the power creep Is the main continuity issue we are facing
I Think Buggy is part of the D. as well.
I have a theory that Namis mother, who was a marine, was friends with Tsuru so Tsuru will have a part to play EOS and confront Nami
I'm not not sure he will be a D, maybe. But I do feel his DF will play a important roll, I think there's more to do it than meets the eye. I think he will ultimately help shanks. I also wouldn't be surprised if he becomes pirate King briefly. I'm sure oda said in a interview years ago the title of King would change hands a few times before the end, suggesting the first person to get it won't be the last
Yeah I just think there has to be a way that kaido has ancient giant blood
He's an "oni"
BBs teeth inconsistencies - suggest 3 individuals. So if if rocks is one, there's still a 3rd we are yet to discover.
-
Missing 3 teeth (often 2 on top + 1 at bottom)
-
Missing 4 teeth (2 top + 2 bottom)
-
Full set of teeth (no gaps)
0-4These vary across key panels. One Reddit user tracked them across major arc appearances—Mock Town, Impel Down, Marineford, Hachinosu, etc.—and noted exactly those three main tooth patterns .
🔢 How Many Times Has It Happened?
By one count from the same post:
3 teeth missing appeared ~7 times
4 teeth missing appeared ~6 times
647-3Full teeth appeared ~once (Impel Down flashback, Chapter 581)
That adds up to roughly 14 distinct instances of these variations, though the totals depend on whether you count duplicates or remastered volumes.
Which is what? Maybe a Buccaneer and an ancient giant mixed
Ddmon/ogre species. Similar to oars I guess, mixed race. Unconfirmed but oni is what he's called
There's many onis within the story of different variations
Could it be something like a devil fruits power is stored in the heart and if you eat someones heart you gain their powers too? It would also align with the implication that big mom ate carmel
Also, could it otherwise be as simple as eating two devil fruits not killing you? I dont think they ever actually show someone eating two fruits they just keep saying that rumours say you die. That might be a government lie
assuming it's a government lie, they'll have to fear that some reckless moron actually does eat two devil fruits; if it doesn't turn out that this individual dies and gains both devil fruit powers... not only will it further sever the people's trust in the wg but it'll also allow the fruition of way stronger individuals and armies of pirates and criminals
otherwise this can be used as an assassination attempt by somehow injecting a few grains of a devil fruit into an ability user's food, if this was the case, i wonder how many people were assassinated by the wg this way
Plausible. But we also have objects gaining powers, could just put em inside rings
3 distinctive blackbeards.
Im ngl i dont see it. Or is it the teeth?
Yeah his teeth. 3 distinct different layouts,
3 teeth missing
4 teeth missing
No teeth missing
Distinct is a stretch
Ch 1080 only has 2 missing teeth
Cloaked figure in 907 is shanks telling the gorosei of blackbeard's lineage
This whole chapter makes me interested on the cloaked figure who met the elders in 907. Because now i feel like this chapter makes it really clear that it was most likely shanks who told the gorosei of blackbeard's lineage.
Saturn only mentioned blackbeards lineage post timeskip in egghead, which matches the timeline of the gorosei only being told post timeskip (907).
If the gorosei already knew of blackbeard's lineage in pre time skip, it honestly makes them look completely incompetent and ignorant to allow the son of rocks (the most dangerous pirate of his era) to join the warlords and not even order a murder/execution of blackbeard like what happened to ace in marineford? That would just be stupid.
So i feel like it all adds up that shanks connected the dots himself and told the gorosei as a way to still act as the mediator in the world.
Honestly speaking, shanks may have learnt some more info from harald, as they seemed to have been quite close as stated by shanks himself, if rocks and harald also had a relationship (met in the reverie, rocks seeking for harald in elbaph), i'm sure that harald could have learnt some interesting and maybe even suspicious information surrounding rocks (rocks was also alive for 2 years of blackbeard's childhood before his supposed death in god valley, so there could have been some information that harald gained during that time and told shanks), shanks later in his piracy life started noticing the hints from blackbeard and eventually connected the dots as he wasn't so sure before. I feel like everything is adding up but incredible chapter and reveals
ROCKS HAS BUGGYS BARA BARA NO MI (maybe)CONFIRMED!
In the last panel he cut up a Mountain with the same Soundeffect buggy makes whenever he seperates his Body parts, or puts them back together.
You can look up Chapter 526 for that.
The Soundeffect he made is "Zupin"(Romaji)
I personally subscribe to bara bara Xebec, but this is not definitive evidence. It’s a sound effect used in other similar situations, like with Law’s power. Probably other times you have something bisected
I suspect Xebec to have Law's power because of the current manga chapter with how his finger positions are, but also because of the narration of him killing an admiral then vanishing without a trace. This also leaves me to believe why blackbeard was so determined to take Law's power to probably fulfill the will or motive of his father's (Xebec) from past prior to his death.
IF this is true, it's safe to add how he awakened it... bara bara no mi (so far) only worked to split buggy himself, xebec split a mountain with it
We see the Ancient Weapons are named after gods. In one piece, the names of Gods are to be revered and worshiped (the 5 elders.) The ancient weapons may also have been a scientific version of worship, almost like having three kinds of nukes. Almost like a death cult, but a religion that respected the power. It could be perceived that control of these weapons, one could rule the world. Perhaps through Rocks or other means, BB realized he could obtain similar god like power through 3 devil fruits. As we see with Luffy, Nika fruit doesn't mean you literally have sun powers or shooting beams of light. It is a god name to assign to more philosophical properties:
Dark Fruit - Logia, most evil, is about erasing, darkness, gravity, consumption ( forest god) (Uranus)
Quake Fruit – is about utter destruction, distortion, fury (earth god) (Pluton)
Satan Fruit – about domination and control (sea god) (Poseidon)
We can see potentially tying a god >ancient weapon > DF power. All three are incredibly devil fruits, able to destroy an island in different ways.
That is why BB has three skulls, the same as Oars. It is the religion and following of the old gods, one where three great powers could shape and bend the world. Nika is not needed in this religion, its an obstacle. The religion of power that stands against the sun and the CD.
When Harald's allies are bring food to Elbaph, one of them is shown laughing. There's only been one character so far (as far as I know) with a "Gya ha ha" laugh.... And Buggy hadn't been born yet.
I apparently can't post images, so this page.
and who is the only character laughing like Gya ha ha ha?
Until this chapter, it was Buggy. But this scene was 63 years ago, and Buggy is only 39.
⚠️SPOILER ALER⚠️
🔥 The Four Gods Theory – Origin of Devil Fruits
In the world of One Piece, all powers come from four ancient gods whose divine forces were divided to create the Devil Fruits. Each fruit type represents a fragment of a god’s essence:
🌳 Forest God → Zoan
Represents life, instinct, and transformation. Zoan fruits allow users to become animals, mythical beasts, or gods themselves.
🌍 Earth God → Paramecia
Embodies matter, structure, and force. Paramecia users alter the world through physical or conceptual manipulation.
🌧️ Rain God → Logia
Channels fluidity, elements, and energy. Logia fruits let users become natural phenomena like fire, ice, or lightning.
☀️ Sun God (Nika) → Awakening / Will
Symbolizes freedom, imagination, and joy. Awakening taps into the Sun God’s power, letting users reshape reality with pure will — even without a Devil Fruit, as seen with Zoro’s Ashura or Miss Goldenweek’s paint.
⚠️ Why You Can’t Eat Two Devil Fruits:
Eating two Devil Fruits is forbidden by nature because it creates a spiritual contradiction — the body tries to contain the power of two gods, and the divine energies clash, destroying the vessel. Only someone like Blackbeard, who may have a unique body or unnatural “void,” can break this rule.

Did you just scroll all the way up?
nope, i did a search and his message pop up
Guys Oda told me by the end of Elbaf Shanks will have been killed by the goat BB
not sure if this knowledge or idea is commonplace, but I have a feeling blackbeard/rocks are directly related to joy boy -- it contrasts the will of luffy and roger who inherited joy boy's will through the straw hat, as they have the birthright of joyboy himself and use that to exercise their will -- as to why blackbeard and rocks are more inherently evil, i have an idea (not grounded in anything) that maybe joyboy had a son who had differing ideology with his father joyboy and that's where the ideological clash between luffy and blackbeard will be eos
what u guys think?
i mean it could just as well be an aquaintance to joy boy or a sibling, no?
i say biological bc i feel birthright vs inherited will is a common theme in the overall story but yeah it is a bit of a stretch
i could see sibling for sure personally i think it would be more narratively poignant if it was joyboy directly
nah they are so unalike Joyboy, if Oda does soemthing like this it would be an L story
yeah i agree i don't think they're that much like joyboy from what we know, but i think there's something there with lineage family by choice and family by blood
Rocks doesn’t have ANY weapon on him in the panel. Either he has a devil fruit that slices or shiki cut the mountain. But I’m thinking rocks
Theory: Luffy's dream is a banquet with the whole world is garbage
Proof: His dream is supposed to be so crazy and impossible, no one else has heard of a goal that crazy including Jimbe since he heard the dream. Despite Jimbe being on the same crew as the woman who kept saying her dream that was similar to Luffy's dream.
maybe he should've said "What did you say? I left BM's crew just to end up with a douche with a similar goal of the woman I resented and left"
also another counterpoint, why would Oda hide it despite Luffy already saying that when he fought Kaido?
The theory rides on the fact that he said something similar against Kaido, but then why would Oda hide his dream right after he already said it. Clearly, his dream is separate from what he said in the Kaido fight.
also what the fuck would becoming King of the Pirates make that dream any more possible
If it's the PK title influence that makes that dream any more possible that's why he said it, I doubt it. Vegapunk had more influence than anyone, he was able to create a message throughout the whole world, do you think he would be able to accomplish Luffy's dream and if so, was it that hard and impossible to begin with?
That's what I kept saying
As for how shanks knows it : I think Teach tried to recruit shanks, maybe before he started his crew and after Roger's pirates disbanded.
BB presented himself as the son of Rocks and that how Shanks knew. Shanks refused and teach gave him his scar. Maybe BB told him a part of his plan, and thus it made shanks very worried, and that's why he's trying to stop BB forever since
he stabbed Loki w a sword
Is it not obvious to everyone that Luffy wants to eat the sun? I’m not sure if this will end up being an actual part of the sun but I’m thinking more the motherflame. To me it the obvious dream that’s so Luffy like
Whitebeard cut the mountain btw, With his Bisento
Why didn't Whitebeard notice that Blackbeard looks like him 🤔
BB was still a kid when he took him in. And even if he knew he mightve thought that the son shouldnt be judged by what the fathers done
Lot of people in the world. People didn't recognize luffy as related to garp or Dragon. Ace you could say looks like a young Roger, but whitebeard had no clue, and when told didn't care.
I think unless you know Rocks had a child, then your not expecting to run into them.
I think the one piece is the gift of your greatest wish being granted.
When Roger first meets Rayleigh he says, "I wanna turn the world upside down", which was his wish that caused the great pirate era.
Many theories say that Luffy told the strawhats (in chapter 1060), ace, sabo, and shanks that he wants to either have a party with the whole world or he wants to start a new era, which would come along with the abolishment of the red line.
This can also be backed up with the idea that Sanji wants to find the all blue, which is all the seas combined where all fish meet. How would he do this? By having the red line be abolished, hence Luffy's dream of connecting the world to have a party.
Another straw hat, brook, has the dream to meet laboon again. Laboon is outside of the grandline and separated due to the red line, which will fall and allow laboon to meet Brook again.
Franky's dream is to travel on the greatest ship in the world. The Thousand Sunny will be the ship that takes the future pirate king to the place that will abolish the Grand Line and become the most fabled ship in the world.
If the grandline gets abolished, fishman island won't be stuck under the red line and will come to the surface where they will emigrate into normal society and shirahoshi and jimbei's dreams will be realised.
Robin wants to learn all the history of the world which she can't do until she finds all the poneglyphs which are needed because (different theory) laugh tale moves around which is why you need all the poneglyphs and why shanks hasn't returned since he was a kid.
Scroll for rest of theory its too long
(back to normal)
Nami is going to chart the entire world allowing for everyone to be free and travel anywhere they want.
Usopp, I believe, is going to die to allow the strawhats to escape and allow luffy to make his wish, going down in history as the greatest warrior that ever lived who allowed luffy to create the new world without the red line.
Chopper's dream is impossible, LOL.
Joyboy was going to wish but Imu killed him and wished that the entire world would flood/the power to control water due to their hatred for the devil fruits.
Wano was closed off due to the flooding and somehow got the wall that now protects the country.
I think that people will start to call luffy the king of pirates due to them believing he destroyed the grandline based on sheer will power alone.
Could this have been WB's power?
My theory about why Loki is evil and not to be trusted
So me and a friend were talking about the latest chapter and Rocks. On the last page Rocks is standing in the same pose as Law does when using his powers, and so its not impossible he has the Ope Ope fruits powers. If he has that devilfruits powers its not impossible that Rocks performed the "Perennial Youth Operation" on BB. My guess is Rocks escaped God valley and performed the surgery on BB and the surgery is why BB doesnt sleep, barely takes damage and maybe even why BB doesnt die from having two devil fruits
Everyone’s talking about more obvious stuff in this latest chapter, but something I’ve seen no one mention:
Warhammer Galley-la made Pluton. They were a company that share a name with the Water-7 company, and that’s how Tom ended up with the blueprints. Because the company probably existed in Water-7, but the one that’s way below the surface. Tom trusted Franky with the blueprints, but if Iceberg has even a inkling of their history that’s probably why he was sus of the government since way back. Even Granny Kokoro starts the Water-7 arc by telling everyone “be careful of the government”
Additionally, this is why Franky might be set to be learning Elbaph history, such as witnessing the mural art. Water-7 history is his history.
Additionally, this connects the ancient weapons to two races, Pluton the giants, and Poseidon the Fishman, meaning Uranus might follow this pattern
Mods literally pin me I’m so right 😍
It's true that Loki may be a very twisted and bad man, but that's only towards the people he deems deserve it. Yes, he did in fact kill the horse and his uncle, but that's either because they're reminders of his terrible mother, or were actually abusive towards him first in the uncle's case.
We're following a series where even characters like Kid or Law can be "good guys", so the things that Loki did are honestly pretty mild all things considered. It doesn't revoke his good guy potential nor is he destined to be a baddie through and through, as your theory suggests.
He also does not follow the Oedipus Rex parallel 1:1, as he seemingly did not actually kill his father, and may have been blamed for it instead. After all, we saw how King Harald was impaled by soldiers within the castle. Gaban said it very well, he sensed an abnormal haki within the castle that had nothing to do with Loki.
In general, I don't think clinging to this stance will bear too much fruit in the future of this story. Despite what Hajrudin says, Loki is the kind of character that will stick through thick and thin for his friends. I could never see him betraying his animal companions nor Mosa, so why would he do the same with the next characters he's set to befriend, such as Luffy?
Is him killing the horse or the uncle even confirmed?
I have a theory that the Imu fruit is the fruit of Entropy (a concept in physics), basically this leads to the balance of all things, water, heat, cold... And one of the things that you can prove this is that when you take the Entropy out of a person's body, they can live forever like the Goroseis and as we've seen in the manga, when you take the Entropy out of them, they die, because the Entropy in their body came back and all their time was gone and they got old and died.
Has anyone come up with a theory of why Loki has those eyes?
I guess it's safe to assume that only Rocks could've injured Shanks
Lots of people called that even I did, YouTubers etc
Good theory, but I still believe it’s Shamrock instead of Shanks telling the Gorosei about “a certain pirate.” That certain pirate is Loki, The conversation could’ve been about Shamrock going to recruit Loki as a holy knight but obviously Loki rejected them now. We know Loki was a known pirate before shanks took him down he was causing havoc all over the world and gained a bounty of 2.6B before he was chained up
if Xebec killed Sakazuki's father? I thought about it because he killed an admiral on the Reverie and if it's Sakazuki's father? that would explain Sakazuki's hatred for pirates
W
Loki could be the world serpent Jormagundr or could be Fenrir
aint there is a thoery
there is a thoery that the red line is the world serpent jormagundr that revolve around the one piece world n due to some kind of power maybe imu's power he solidfy n some thing n loki will kill him as he hold the hammer
my theory is its an ancient trait that no longer appeared in ancient giants the last few thousand years. It could be related to dragons. We don't know the original of giants in one piece.
no
Any leading theories what the legendary devil fruit of Elbaph was? 🤔
Could have been the Nika fruit..? Shanks could have pursued it and finally found it on that one random WG ship..? Probalby something else tho..
I dont think we saw the fruit itself yet, right? Only a box it was inside..? Maybe we would have recognised it.. 🤔🤔
So Elbaph wasn't the ancient kingdom, yeah? You know what WAS the ancient kingdom? Phable. Yeah, Imu Domi Reversi'd the entire kingdom of Phable, turning a technologically advanced civilization into a group of demonic warriors who would roam the seas and give the World Government and the Marines a threat to prove the necessity of such an organization to the non-founding members.
I've got a further theory on what may have happened in the reverie 56 years ago.
My theory is that the admiral that rocks supposedly killed was the leader/founder of sword in the navy. I know many believe this was garp instead, but this just was never stated and garp has never explicitly played the role of its leader or stated his affiliation with them. Sword also has no specific timeline of when it was founded or who founded it. My speculation is that this admiral who created the sword organisation, tried learning too much information surrounding the world during his time and eventually in the reverie, the admiral's death could have been a situation similar to cobra and sabo.
My idea is that during the reverie 56 years ago, similar to the most recent reverie, this admiral may have been in a position similar to cobra, perhaps seeing imu during their time as they tried seeking too much information. I believe that rocks could very well have also witnessed this in the process (like sabo), and managed to quickly flee the scene before imu/the gorosei disposed of the admiral swiftly. This feat would make it so that the government could have blamed the killing of the admiral on rocks (similar to how sabo was blamed for cobras death and the world came to believe it) and his huge bounty was given to him not just for his strength, but rocks now knowing the truth of the world and having way too much knowledge outside the government's control.
Following up on this, sengoku tells us that rocks broke too many of the worlds taboos and the rocks pirates were directly hostile towards the world government. which could have stemmed from this event. It would also make imu being wary of blackbeard even more significant as rocks was a threat to imu originally not just through his power, but through the knowledge he gathered during the reverie and later in his pirate life, and now blackbeard is inheriting that will as his son to become king of the world like rocks.
Everyone knows the Gorosei exist btw, that isn't a secret
i said imu specifically
What if rocks had three kids and thats what represents in black beards jolly Roger
Pretty new stuff so imma spoiler it just in-case (chapter 1150): ||in post-timeskip impel down Magellan is shown to have a bit of damage, like his horn and wing, but that would imply it isnt a costume and is apart of him, notably the most prominent time we saw horns and devil wings, not to mention Magellan's sort of sharp teeth, is the domi reversi, with the giants getting similiar features. What if Magellan was originally one of the most pirate of pirates out there but became of interest to Ime and got Domi Reversed, turning him into a highly loyal government lover and eventually the warden of impel down||
i dont think you need to spoiler it since its mostly caught up ppl in here but yeah just in case
Most pirate of pirates. 98.7% statement

It is a very plausible theory But why would the world government wanna kill an admiral that too who established sword
Just because he or she knows about existence of imu, it's hard to believe
If he were to talk about recruiting Loki and they had access to elbaph all that time why would holy knights wait till the straw hats went there? Or almost 3 years?
Rocks doesn’t have the Ope Ope No Mi -
When law fought kaido and big mom they made 0 comments, countered 0 special moves and were completely caught off guard by law at least once each by his awakened fruit power.
Do you think big mom and kaido would have not noticed their old captains power - which would’ve surely been awakened?
The robe around him literally proves that was shamrock, we never even seen the side of his face too because obviously we’d know it wasn’t shanks if he didn’t have a scar, they probably “waited” or they didn’t wait, it was probably because so many tragedies were happening since the reverie, sabo knowing about imu’s existence, god valleys incident being rediscovered because of vegapunks message, the abolishment of the 7 warlords, meant that the holy knights have to start making a move. Why wait? Because starting negotiations with a foreign power (like Elbaf) while you're vulnerable makes you look weak—and might provoke rebellion.
Also big mom wanted Lola to marry Loki knowing how powerful he was and how she’d need him to be king of the pirates she’d be able to destroy kaido and shanks etc…
Ok we got the timeline wrong
Vegapunks message was far from the reverie
Reverie ended while Luffy was leaving wano and there was a time gap
And so holy knights didn't wait for too long and when Luffy left wano shanks was near wano so it is obvious that it was shamrock
What I was saying was that vegapunks message added on to the threat the WG was already facing from the reverie but yeah I js woke up not to long ago so what I’m saying probably doesn’t make sense 🧍🏽
No worries
It is a nice theory could be true
Counter argument: We've only seen Stussy, Shiki and WB being by his side in that panel (Rocks wasn't a captain yet, if I read that right). None of them are being known for randomly slicing mountains in half. Plus, we don't know if Rocks ever shared the nature and possibilities of his DF, if he was actually the previous user. He wasn't friends with anyone in his crew and surely didn't want to lose his position as captain.
Known for it or not, it’s not crazy to think Shiki, Newgate or Xebec could have done that with just haki
Shanks can make a haki knot and gives to Luffy before he dies to be used in final war , it certainly can be useful

Thoughts on Lola x Loki:
I wonder if Lola didn't want Loki because of his eyes.
Maybe Loki told her about his history in Elbaph and only wanted Lola to join Big Mom and reek more havoc on the land of the giants, thus turning off Lola from him causing her to run away for a) to get away from the wrath of her mother and b) fulfill her dreams of being a pirate (iirc). Loki was marrying Lola for the shits and giggles. Lola, somewhat traumatized, sought out a man who'd actually want her.
Have we gotten confirmation that Loki was even interested or it was just big mom convincing Harald it was good idea so she could get a giant
Harald would have been long dead before Lola showed up
TBH, as of right now the Lola/loki situation makes zero sense, and Oda might have a lot of retconning to get it to work. When Lola ran away from the wedding, all giants were upset with big mom and refused to come to toto land for betraying Loki. It got bad enough that Caesar clown eventually started experimenting again with making giants. However this appears to be only in the last few years.
unless loki proposed when Lola was 10 years old...that is the only case this kind of makes sense....
The tattoo red wings on loki's shoulders got me thinking. I keep thinking a connection between the dragon from the mural, Nidhogg in lore. I been talking about dragons for awhile, but feeling strong Loki is a dragon. I just notice the use of red dragons a lot in one piece. Revolutionaries, shanks...Oda even had a thriller bark cover story with the straw hits and the great red dragon of thriller bark.....perhaps forshadowing Oars was dragon blooded....lot of evidence here, and not sure what this exactly entails (since we also have the blood stained serpent.)
im pretty new to theory piece so dont call me out for chopping this:
but doesn't Blackbeard's jolly roger imply there are three versions, what if Xebecc had a predecessor which is why he was so overpowered from the start?
Interesting idea, I have noticed that Loki seems to have a lot of similarities with Kaido
The mural/Harley is also what is helping shaping elbafs view of the sun god. So it makes sense after dragon needs to show up, since that may be the elbaf image of it. Or at least Lori's interpretation
It is symbolic of some sort of trinity yeah.
I believe there was a predecessor and the fruits have in this world aligned with the lineage heirs.
I.e Luffy is of Nika's Lineage and Blackbeard part of another's who was the darkness fruits origin.
With Luffy, Imu and BB being the modern representation of the 3 worlds of the Harley, BB would bring it back to the 1st world. Imu wants to keep it in the 2nd and Luffy brings it into the 3rd
yeah i think its maybe the sun logia. that fruit would have to be godlike as described and would be so sick to see OR its the mythical zoan fruit FENRIR. the wolf that will devour the world
Ahh ya didn’t think of timeline
Mythical bird 👀
Theory: Saviour of the Shipwrecked Kid Pirates
I believe that after being defeated along the coast of Elbaph, the Kid Pirates ended up washing ashore. Upon washing up, the bar along the shore sighted them.
In the event that this shop follows the same business practise owner Ida claimed 48 years ago up until now, the shop has a chance of helping the Kid Pirates.
A conscious crew-mate could have agreed to have drinks in exchange for a doctor, for example.
After all, the inclusion of not only "pirates", but the "shipwrecked" line is very curious. Normally, a crew that's been shipwrecked wouldn't have any money to spare. This means that Ida's bar would even welcome and aid fallen pirate crews such as Kid's, free of charge.
All in all, it's a very uncommon scenario to just barely make it to an island at the loss of one's ship, within this story so far.
I myself can hardly remember any instances.
However, Elbaph is precisely one island it does seemingly happen on, to the Kid Pirates. With Ida mentioning her bar's assistance to shipwrecked pirates here as well, I thereby believe this is meant to serve as the tie-in to how Kid survived and recovers within the present.
This could also be the reason Dorry and Broggy weren't made to visit the bar once again upon returning to Elbaph, as they may have run into the recovering Kid Pirates, and sparked yet another conflict with one another.
Being a business originally opened by a fellow South Blue figure, it would make a fitting setting for this South Blue crew to currently be residing around in the present.
@cobalt igloo @desert quest @craggy pumice @slate burrow
@simple bolt Knew I was forgetting someone
Mihawk was a god knight, he talks like celestial dragons
Im aware of a couple of references to Norse mythology we havent seen yet, that could be it also. But i wanna hope for a non-stereotype option first 😂
I feel like its one we know of already tho. Theres no deep reason to only show us the box if it had just been a random new fruit..
I think you may have got it
Oda this is your chance
Was there any theory about Moria? I want to read it! Moria himself is a prized person like Caesar because he could make the dead working. So the government and BB needed him to make someone "move"?
I’ll shamelessly plug my Moria/BB theory (#manga-theories message), but I’m not sure if that’s what you’re looking for exactly.
You can use the search feature to see if anyone else talked about him. You can also browse some pinned theories too
Marshall D. Kureha
since this channel is for longer theories, can you please elaborate?
dog-dog model: Fenrir would be insanely cool. I desperately hope youre right
It's pretty curious how strongly BB resembles Xebec. We dont really see that strong of a family resemblance in OP in general. Luffy & Dragon, Usopp & Yasopp, Big mom fam, Chin jao fam, vinsmoke fam, etc. Makes me think BB is more of a 'clone' or maybe we have a sort of King Piccolo -> Piccolo type of situation
I think there is a good chance we see 2-3 more devil fruit beings pop up on elbaph, since I think the MMA nightmares are both ancient fears, as well as more recent fears.
He removed his horns and placed them in his hands. Inside the horns were his pigtails. It’s a prop not a real horn.
TL;DR: the "hero" raised in Ringo might be V. Nasujuro.
I think, before joining Imu, he mightve been a respected samurai
i mean he mustve gotten that kitetsu from someone, so he already has mysterious Wano ties, not to mention the samurai look
Perhaps Wano never found out about his betrayal due to void century shenanigans, or Wano closing off, or some other way he would still be viewed as a hero to the Wano citizens.
thats my guess for the foreseeable future, though Ryuma is the most obvious pick still
I have a theory, (Took chat gpt help to summarize)
The One Piece isn’t a weapon, treasure chest, or physical object. It’s a memory‑network virus—a metaphysical “program” encoded into the world by Joy Boy and the Ancient Kingdom, now activated by those carrying the Will of D.
The Final Truth: The One Piece Is the World’s Memory Reboot
For over a thousand years, the world of One Piece has existed in an artificial state of separation divided by the Red Line, governed by the tyrannical World Government, and deprived of its own true history. But beneath that silence, something ancient has been waiting to awaken: a living, world-spanning memory network, designed by the Ancient Kingdom and hidden within the very fabric of the planet. The One Piece is not a treasure chest or a weapon it is the activation code for this network. A conceptual “virus” that, when triggered, floods the world with lost memory and purpose.
This memory-based system was created by Joy Boy, a being who wasn’t just a leader, but a programmer of will one who embedded a message across time. The “Will of D.” is the proof of this lineage individuals chosen by fate or nature to carry fragments of Joy Boy’s intent within them, scattered like packets of data. When enough of them converge physically, emotionally, and spiritually they serve as a collective catalyst to activate the final node: Laugh Tale.
Laugh Tale is not just the endpoint of the Grand Line it is the world’s final “node” in this memory network. It’s where the fragmented “will-data” finally synchronizes. Roger discovered this but he lacked the conditions to trigger it. He wasn’t the right medium. Luffy, however, is. His Gear 5 form, his emotional resonance with Joy Boy, and his connections to peoples and cultures across the seas make him the “key harmonizer” of the network. His freedom, laughter, and sacrifice are not just personal traits they are necessary components to activate the One Piece.
In the final saga, Blackbeard may reach Laugh Tale first, but he sees only ruin not because he’s weak, but because his soul is fragmented. His body may carry multiple powers, but his mind and heart are incompatible with the harmony needed to awaken the world. He is a distortion of the Will of D., not a carrier. Shanks, meanwhile, understands this. He plays a final, neutral role neither stopping nor enabling Luffy, but guiding the climax to its rightful shape.
Luffy’s final act isn’t a punch it’s an emotional trigger. When he and the remaining “D.”s reach the memory node and laugh, the world reacts. The seas stir. Ancient voices rise. The Poneglyphs light up. Every corner of the world begins to remember. The Void Century is no longer a mystery it floods back into reality. Cultures remember their unity. The ancient technologies of the Galleila Giants reactivate. The Red Line doesn’t fall it forgets. The artificial separation between seas and nations dissolves in consciousness, and with it, the power of the World Government collapses without a single shot fired.
The post-reboot world is not perfect, but it is awake. People across the globe begin to rebuild based on restored memory. Races once divided now remember they were once one. History is taught, not hidden. The Grand Line becomes a relic of a great test — not a prison. In this new world, the Straw Hats are not kings or rulers, but story-bearers — carriers of the Dawn who spread not domination, but purpose.
And Luffy? He may vanish — not by death, but by absorption into the story itself. Just as Joy Boy became myth, Luffy becomes the symbol of global memory. Wherever people laugh freely, he exists. He is the spirit of the world finally set free — not to rule it, but to remind it.
I was thinking of matrix when I made this, sort of the same time when one piece was formed. What do you guys think?
THE HELL???? He's not weak. He was able to scar Shanks, and he almost broke Ace's neck with one swing. He's monstrously strong but you're correct about being reliant on his dfs. Shanks, of all people, perceived him as the biggest threat and even told WB to pull Ace back. Heck, he has been monitoring his move ever since. That's how big of a threat this guy is; df or not.
So no real proof to this one but i thought i’d bring it up since giants are constantly getting jobbed in the One Piece world. But what if linlin plateaued in strength as a child? That would probably give the giants a better showing than we initially thought. Doesn’t help that giants are constantly getting hit by the Worf effect.
Maybe not plateaued but she has and always will be a anomaly for her strength.
CANNOT believe I was the last person on your mind…
Just wanted to add that this week adds another detail that fits my theory. The band of frozen giants. Punk hazard wasn’t an ice island two years ago. These frozen giants must have been found somewhere else. In a land of ice.
I THINK I GUESSED IT RIGHT 🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭
does anyone else see the possibility of the brook and gunko flashback intertwining with this 56 year ago reverie flashback, brook said he was a royal guard maybe it was under rocks who was a king at a time (rocks being a king would make sense on why black beard wants to become a goverment recognised king) and then the whole mess with gunko and the admiral getting murdered plays out
There are tons of theories saying ringed eyes are indicators of dual/ a plethora of souls, and the colour could possibly determine the control of the souls.
Zunesha and Cavendish (when Cavendish and Hakuba are awake) — have blue eyes and don’t have control over their bodies, suggesting blue ringed eyes show the control of the secondary soul over the primary soul that initially hosted the body.
Kaido, Mythical Zoan — Zoans have a soul or will of their own, so I guess whilst drunk, the soul of the Zoan attempted to override Kaido's body, but Kaido still had control over his soul.
Impel Down: Jailer Beasts — The soul of the Zoans overrode the soul of the soul of the fruit bearer, so the fruit bearer has ZERO control of their body, and the Zoan soul haw COMPLETE control of the body, turning them into the weird creatures, 'mindless zombies' if you will
Mihawk — swords also have souls of their own, and it could show the sync between Mihawk and Yoru (one of the only two black blades in the series so far and the strongest blade). I guess its red because, like Enma, Mihawk would’ve needed to tame or control Yoru, and he did — which I guess is why the eyes are red.
Zoro — the scar could’ve been from the soul of the Wado Ichimonji during the timeskip, and if I recall correctly, when Zoro met the “grim reaper” at the end of Wano, it had a glowing left eye (the eye Zoro doesn’t have), which could suggest that it’s an incarnation of the soul of one of his swords (Enma or the Wado Ichimonji?). That could be a mid-way, initial, or final ritual for Zoro to sync with one of his blades (likely Wado) fully, possibly making him one step closer to unlocking a black blade maybe?
Addressing BB multiple souls theories — His eyes are normal because:
¹same thing as Cavendish? And the reason he doesn't sleep is because he doesn't want to release (one of) the other souls.
²the souls are fully SUPRESSED inside of him/ are dormant kinda like Kaido with his df
Is this a 1155 spoiler?
I think it will be this or something like this. Souls are the thing connected to the devil fruit and not the hearth like people always say. Brook kinda confirms that as he doesn't has a hearth anymore and is alive not because of his body but because of his soul. He even got his head chopped of and just reconnected it and saying something like it's his soul why he's still here.
BB might be a little more complex story because he seems to swap his souls/personalities during the story (assuming the teeth are connected to that)
When I first read about the frozen giants the only place that came to mind big enough to contain them all, and not melt is the impenetrable weirdly strong ice sheet with all the treasure. Maybe the whole reason Garp met Don Chinjao is because the WG didn't like him messing with the ice sheet potentially waking up the giants nearby or feard Don Chinjao will find them and release them
No, it isn’t
My theory is that Garp, Roger and Xebec are Sake brothers. Because Garp and Roger had a very intense rivalry and Xebec too. This makes me think that they are Sake like Luffy, Ace and Sabo... with Sabo representing Xebec who both want to change the world through a revolution, Ace and Garp, with both wanting justice in a way. And of course Luffy and Roger both wanting to be the pirate kings and have big dreams.

I have been thinking on a theory for a long time about the similarities of the Trimurti with One Piece main players and was developing it when I accidentally found a possibility of Imu's Devil Fruit/Power.
At the isle of Java (the same from the famous Jaya Baya king which brought many theories about JoyBoy) there's a theatre play named Wayang where puppets are used, many times through a shadow (look at the wikipedia link, not sure how to explain) and the puppets are very bizarre, and it looks similar to the Imu Demon Sabo saw at Mariejois.
Not enough the word Wayang comes from "Shadow" and "Imagination", which are the bases for Imu's power.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayang
Shadow + Imagination + Puppet = Domi Reversi.
^
so u sayin we in jojo now
thriller bark is god valley
Never watched jojo
Would you like to elaborate given this channel’s description?
moria didnt just get any island and made it thriller bark, it was the same island that went missing 38 years prior. after being defeated at the hands of kaido, a power hungry moria would steal god valley in search of power resurrecting the corpses left after the incident that took place there. it would really explain how captain jhon (likely a member of the rocks pirates) had his corpse a part of moria’s army and it could also explain how ryuma’s corpse was also there. also, recently after obtaining the mother flame we see them mention something about finally erasing god valley (as if it WASNT erased after the incident). this could be because they couldnt find god valley as it was stolen and hidden in the florian triangle
(please correct me if im wrong about any of this info)
TL;DR: BB needs Boas fruit for his plan to one-shot Imu without even fighting
For this to work, assume BB has some knowledge about Imu. He seems to know more than he lets on, so this doesnt seem absurd to me.
Heres how I think one portion of his grand plan could go, in regards to why he wanted specifically Boas fruit:
0. Pre requisites: needs to have the love love fruit and be declared king of Hachinosu
- kidnap Vivi
- feed HER the love love fruit
- (after becoming king of Hachinosu) bring her to the Holy Land and present her for Imu
- Imu gets petrified, and BB can claim the Empty Throne, without having to fight Imu, which seems up his sleazy alley

obviously this still leaves some powerful opponents still at play that have to be fought, like the elders and Holy Knights, plus its separate from any pirate king ambitions, but I think its one coll route I could see his plan going
in order to actually petrifiy people the love fruit user has to make the concious choice to use their abilities
vivi would probably refuse to use the love fruit in an act of rebellion against bb
okay
i think these things estrid was making a big deal about has actually caused some bad stuff in the past or even might be the reason for harald's death because she once said harald was prophesied to be killed by his son and even though not shown
it's what we have heard untill now
directly or indirectly he did kill his dad

Who do you think are Crocodile, Buggy, Mihawk and doflamingo's fathers?
They are probably some higher feats too just like BB or even Shanks' father as they all belong to the same era.
We know Doffys father, Homing
Sometimes people have cracked parents and they don’t amount to anything strength-wise. Sometimes you have weakling parents and a monster kid. And sometimes the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Genes are only part of the picture, not everyone is going to have some crazy lineage
Bakunawa has long been an interesting dragon story I think (or hope) will be referenced in one piece. There is also Vṛtra, which swallows rivers and even the sun. Eventually Indra uses lightning bolts to destroy the dragon, and allow all the water to flow together again and the sun to rise.
Gunko = Brooks Wife; it was her who screamed Daddy; it was the Child they had together as they were both servants in mary geoise
surely he would recognise his wife then?
since rocks stated that he’ll get revenge on imu one day, im pretty sure this proves that blackbeard is trying to get laws devil fruit to seperate rocks soul from himself, maybe even fight alongside luffy against imu, but if thats the case we sadly have to lose law in order for that to happen
he was though wasnt he? he quiet quickly said stuff like: it can't be or can it?; or am i remembering wrong
like obv its just a hunch but i think its gotta be this or the servant in this chapter is gunkos mum
im gonna be honest and say i dont remember fully either, i should check and come back to you on this
Looks like 'xe béc' in Vietnamese means "a small truck or dune buggy" might be proof of the Rocks/Buggy connection
I've seen this supporting evidence for the Rocks/Buggy theory gaining some traction over the past couple days.
I just consulted with my partner who is a native Vietnamese person, and this theory was found to be baffling. Oda has never cared for utilizing the Vietnamese culture / language within the story, by her own accord, And apparently, this word has never been used nor even seen by her, before.
Even if the word "xe béc" exists, it's probably some super archaic / ancient phrase. ("Xe" is a typical word to combine to any vechicle-esque thing anyway, "xe đạp" is simply "bike", for example.)
Cool! Thanks for the breakdown!
this is VERY random and it has no evidence at all😭 but i think it would be kinda cool, purely from a narrative perspective: what if Rocks has the Flare-Flare Fruit? It would mean Ace ate the fruit of his father's greatest enemy, and Whitebeard had in his crew Roger's son with his ex captain's powers. Also Blackbeard fought and won against his father's powers. We know Rocks killed an admiral, could said admiral be Aokiji's dad, who happened to have the Ice-Ice Fruit? Rocks would have had an incredible advantage, which could explain why we see him unscathed in the latest chapter. Also Ace's ultimate attack is called Flame Emperor or whatever idk i'm just throwing shi at random, i gotta pack it up bro💀 🥀
I really would prefer it if not everyone in the story was related. I hate it when it is randomly revealed that some character is related to some other dude for no reason. Time for some new characters 😂
i agree but at the same time its kinda cool
and that's true, but it kinda makes sense for the highest ranks in the Navy to pick the previous admiral's kid to replace them no? Well that didn't happen for Akainu and Aokiji but
1)as far as we know they don't have kids
2)their situation was different (akainu was promoted and aokiji left)
If i were the WG the first thing i would do to choose the next admirals is probably the kids of someone i trust, and i would say the admirals are trustworthy, to a degree.
Let's say Aokiji's dad was an "Akainu" type of admiral, the WG picked Aokiji as a successor expecting him to become a puppet like his dad. But there is a variable they didn't consider: Garp.
Garp trains his students to think for themselves, to have their own sense of justice, and he probably had a huge impact on Kuzan. Now he is following Blackbeard to have revenge maybe?
guys i literally joined just to point this out but caribous and coribous father is most likely that guy (Ochoku) in the rocks crew (not sure if any1 pointed this out already but he does look like their father)
I just checked and seems like ppl alrd pointed it out nvm
I just think that it would start to feel like characters can't just be strong by themselves anymore if everyone is related to some big name (and that is seemingly the reason they are so strong.)
I don't know how to express this.
I just wish there were fewer / won't be so many characters that are related to some great powerful person because it starts to feel like thats the reason they are strong and not because of the hard work they put in and the difficulties they went through to become so strong. I need more characters that are strong because they train hard like Corby. That's why I am always against xyz is abc's son/cousin/... theories
but the 2 things aren't mutually exclusive, you have characters like Coby who don't have the genetics but still train so much to the point they actually become strong... and then you have Weevil😭
the same thing goes for Aokiji: i'm not talking about strength, i'm just saying he might have the same devil fruit as his dad. He did in fact train with Garp and that is what made him strong
Ok so he did say this in 1147. Ur right. And then in 1149 theres the memory flashback to a little girl holding brooks hand. She called out brook clearly recognising him then. Also, her yelling brook and not father
I just noticed Gunko and the servant in the latest chapter have the same eyes
I have a theory that down the line instead of law putting the k room on his sword it's going to be on himself instead.
The main to this theory is if we look at the manga when law and bepo escaped if you look closely bepo didn't take law sword.
Whe law was younger he was tought in sword play, gun play and also martial arts.
Law putting it on himself will give him better hax.
- Law can become intangible which means he can't be touch. But he can only if you have haki or strong haki. This will make his fruit like a logia.
- He will be able to goo through this this also links to the first one.
- He can become big like a giant.
- He could become small.
- He will also be able to do triple impact. The first one is his haki the next one is when he gets advance armament haki (emissions) which bypasses durability. The last one is his own devil skills like gamma knife, shock willi and puncture willi. If law is able to combine the normal armament with advance armament (if he gets it) his devil fruit it will creat a triple impact with 2 able to bypasss durability
My last theory which is the worst one is what if law could combine all of his room into one and just create one ultimate room where he could wear or put around. This could just grants him all of thr skills from the other room into one.
This is like how luffy was able to use his base form with his gear 4 but just a little bit harder.
Am I tripping or oda just told us what d stands for so causally
How? I dont think i picked up on it
Davy jonesian ? Rocks d xebec ?
Do you envision it would be a direct lineage or smth like a person from Davy Jones crew
Davy jones was a clan of great pirates maybe ? Or a lineage of pirates who fell to the curse of d, like Davy jones
What if the next Davy Back Fight is Blackbeard vs Strawhats and the crew member who gets claimed for the Blackbeard Pirates is Loki due to how powerful he is ofc. I can definitely see the strawhats losing and Loki agrees to join the blackbeard pirates, which leads moral conflict for Loki since his dream was to help Rocks conquer the world and now he has the chance to do so with Rocks’ son, but most likely by this point of the story he does find a true family that deeply loves and cares for him which he never felt he truly got as a kid.
plus this parallels with Rocks wanting Loki’s father to join his crew
crackhead theory
@. hanzvx. pointed out that imu’s silhouette looks like it’s wearing a veil, and that got me thinking:
if imu really is more than just the shdowy blob thing, then what if that IS a veil
one piece characters tend to wear accessories with significant meanings (senior pink, the straw hat, certain swords, etc.) so what if imu was supposed to marry lili, but something happened between them. her blunder could’ve been leaving imu at the altar, and now mu wears the veil to forever remember that day.
Brook was captain of the royal guards, those triangle helmet knights. He left and became a pirate after seeing everything that was happening, that’s how he was close to a child celestial dragon
I cant post an image yet cause im not high enough level but 1155 theres a panel of rocks at the flower garden and hes glaring at Imu saying “Just wait, someday i’ll be back!!”.
If you look at his left eye theres a bunch of marks all going into his eye which I think look very significantly placed there like it doesnt look like its just a cool design but instead something important. The only thing it reminds me of is the missing eye theories about jaya but i havent thought of anything meaningful besides the connection.
If someone could post the images of rocks’ face with the tattoos going into his eye and jaya that would also be pretty cool
Harald dies 14 years ago and the legendary devil fruit is eaten and 13 years ago shanks steals the gomu fruit from the cp0 ship. What do you guys think the connection is here? Surely there is a connection between the 2 incidents right?
crackpot theory: Xebec didn't fight Imu because he needed the Yami Yami no Mi to cancel out the immortality operation on Imu, and the reason he went to God Valley was because the fruit was there for the games.
Might lead into BB + Luffy vs Imu endgame
Just a speculation
In One Piece Episode 1071, when the Gorosei were talking about the Nika fruit, Saturn said, “What if it's better than the alternative?” Could this mean that there are two Nika fruits? And that the Devil Fruit Luffy ate was an artificially made one by someone like Vegapunk?
These buggy son of Xebec theories are getting of hand bruh 😂 😂
Didn't Shanks steal the fruit from a marine ship and had it for quite some time before he got to foosha village. Was Vegapunk even able to recreate fruits back then?
@balmy storm
damn
No i think he meant alternative situation
I meant someone like vegapunk during void century
Ohh
Guys I think this much is now clear after chapter 1155 that IMU is the forest deity of one piece world. It'll be more interesting to know who are the other 2 deities as we know Luffy and Imu are 2 of the deities. Intotal there should be 4 deities in the op world as we know.
How is that clear after this chapter??
That was clearly mentioned in this chapter that the place Imu is staying is the "flower room"
Will of D is Davy Jones, that’s why Imu wants to destroy the Will of D, because they hate Davy Jones
Who's Davy Jones?
He was announced in the latest chapter, Davy Jones or Davy Back
I think we heard the name before this chapter.
I'm a wrong?
Either previous chapter or this chapter
Ok
That's way too far fetched, could also just be the flower flower fruit
It's possible if only the theory that there's 4 gods in op world is true because there's no one to the level of imu except joyboy so they must the one of the gods.
That doesn't explain anything, it's just theories mixed together
Yeah that's true
people still denying hiriluk is rocks theory even though hiriluk found the cherry blossoms in the west blue, where god valley occurred
💔 🥀
in this scene they were talking about losing a CP0 agent to kaido and making kaido angry to, but in return kaido beats luffy. They said this is probably better than the alternative of Luffy awakening his fruit, which ended up happening anyways.
Sun, forest, rain/wind, earth, water, moon
According to skypeia and the harley
D. name could be Davy Jonesian
Could Davy Jones be Joyboy? I feel like if Imu fears the Will of D and joyboy was the latest large threat it might be Davy Jones himself and that his followers/crews added D to their family names to symbolise that they were in his crew
people can’t even make good rebuttals these days 💔
That would be too many titles for him.. Joyboy, Nika, a D descendant and now Davy Jones
Let’s hope it’s someone else
Rocks has too much testosterone to become a woman, even with Ivankov's power
Looking back to that panel, it makes me think Hiriluk had a type of 'love sickness'. Would make sense that he could only be cured by going somewhere and seeing something rather than taking medicine
Hiriluk is a woman??
Oh I thought we were talking about Kureha lol
mindblowing twist for people still these days, the old arcs have become way more relevant now in this final saga. Shanks, Buggy, Mihawk, Vivi, Crocodile, Skypiea, and now Long Ring Long Land all becoming way more relevant now. yk why? good storytelling as well as Oda originally ending One Piece way earlier back around Alabasta Saga he had set up and ideas for the end of the story and now we are finally seeing that come together now. So believing a character like Hiriluk who’s past is very much still a mystery, his close ally Kureha knowing the D history, Hiriluk coincidentally going back to Drum Island to become a doctor a year after the God Valley Incident, and the fact the first known sign of Blackbeard was going to Drum Island and wrecking the place
My only problem with your theory is that Rocks doesnt seem the type of guy to just give up on his dream. He'd rather die than let himself fade into obscurity. he also promised imu he would be back
Could Hiriluk be someone on his crew? Or a witness or soemthing? I have a hard time believing someone so weak would be part of the Rocks crew or even Rocks himself
I could buy Hiriluk was a doc on xebecs crew at some point
crew feels more liekly me to me, he just doesnt look old enough to be rocks himself
Yeah he could’ve very much had a change in viewing the world and his goals in life after almost dying but something as beautiful as cherry blossoms changed everything for him, instead of hurting others, he wants to people, to have people feel that same feeling he felt. It’s called character development, him telling Harold that people never really change who they are would be quite ironic too. Since it very well seems Harold did change and it was only Imu’s abilities that made him turn destructive, so Rocks could very well realize his own statements aren’t true. Character development. Also he couldn’t have been a doctor since he didn’t become one until to being “cured” by the blossoms and going back to Drum Island also Rocks only had powerful people on his crew, that’s what made his crew unique.
and yall keeping missing the big picture here with Hiriluk, his iconic words, a man dies when he is forgotten. The only key character who’s ever been discussed as been forgotten in was Rocks, no one else. Those words mean way more than ya think
rocks was forgotten? sengoku and garp seem to remember him quite well. many others too
you complain about not getting good rebuttals then when someone gives you one, you do this. bro you good?
His old crew remembers him too
Insane theory from a pal of mine:
"The thematic link between Luffy and Buggy has been evident and accepted by OP fans for a long time, its pretty explicit in the text itself.
And obviously Zoro has literally been training to overtake Mihawk — but what if Zoro and Mihawk’s relationship isn’t thematically linked to Cross Guild?
Ive sen some arguments that in a CG vs SH showdown, Crocodile and Sanji would be the third pair-off
But what if the Straw Hats aren’t the axis by which Luffy and Buggy are foils? After all, the strawhats aren’t actually a trio there’s 10 of them, while Cross Guild has 3 leaders.
We just learned Mihawk was possibly a celestial knight, and if he was he clearly isn’t serving the celestial dragons anymore.
….like how Sabo had also rejected his family’s loyalty to the Celestial Dragons.
Additionally, while Luffy and Buggy are both inarguably pirates. Mihawk has always more or less been his own thing. He isn’t really a pirate by most metrics. Just like how the RA aren’t really pirates either. Non-pirate anti-government agents.
So if Cross Guild is actually a foil to Luffy and his brothers that leaves Crocodile …and Ace
Both of whom were originally pirate captains who quit. Ace to serve under WB as a member of his crew, and Crocodile to develop baroque works and overthrow King Cobra.
Ace hated Roger, Crocodile hated WB. Both were forced by circumstance to move on.
Both were content to die in Impel Down UNTIL Luffy broke them out.
Crocodile being the blood-son of White Beard would bring this full circle.
-Crocodile was at roger’s execution, either while or before he became a pirate, emphasizing that it was Roger and the One Piece that inspired him (reflecting how Ace was inspired by White Beard)"
no because that is a bad rebuttal no shit the people that actually met the dude are gonna remember bro, it’s the following generations who won’t since the government have tried to diminish his existence in history
and what Hiriluk means by his words is that someone like Chopper live on his Dreams which nobody else did for Rocks until his actual son came into the picture unbeknownst by him
Having a D member start off as evil, but eventually realizes his use of being a D member is not to inspire harm, but become something that inspires and impacts future generations to make a better world, even if it’s one small reindeer, it can still leave an huge impact which Chopper could very be the one who cures all diseases, getting that impact from a D member of all people makes total sense since that’s the point of being a D member. I see that as a beautiful redemption story
and it would make someone like Teach’s motives even more heartbreaking and rich since his goal is a dream that ended up not being something his father really wanted by the end. But he never got to teach his real son that and now his son is gonna learn the hard way
hell might not even learn by the end which makes this villain story even more depressing, he will be a D member who will inspire no one by the end since even his crew mates will just backstab by the end just like Rocks’ crew did
that’s what makes for a great written villain and for a great written villain turned hero
@odd forge am i cooking?
Lemme get this all straight, you reckon that the infamous and ruthlessly violent pirate Rocks would have a change of heart after looking at a tree, being cured of certain death. Then, would only describe his past as being a 'thief' and distinctly not a pirate? Like some sort of reverse Denjiro situation? If you reckon he felt repentful, you dont think he would own up to his deeds? maybe not outright say his past, but at least acknowledge what he was like
having a change of heart due to something that saves him from death, makes the most sense out of anything to make you reconsider your life choices, the point he never addresses his past is due to the government having eyes everywhere, Thief can be seen as a pirate, because that’s what pirates are highly known for
notice how Hiriluk has a deep admirations for pirates tho even if “supposedly” wasn’t one
Could you send a side by side of Hiriluk and Rocks? Do they look similar?
and so he just doesnt even mention he was a pirate? that one detail alone all of a sudden would give away he was Rocks of all people? destinctly all pirates are thieves but not all thieves are pirates. They use different words for a reason and hiriluk himself said thief. like Nami only called herself a thief not a pirate
they don’t look similar, because i think he ate a fruit at god valley, that being either bon clay or devon’s fruit to hide his identity so no one would recognize him. Notice how he killed himself by exploding his body? So no one could recognize who he was when his abilities wore off
how convenient
Wait if he had those why would he never use them when needed
I think its way more likely he blew himself up because explosions were his trademark way he exits a scene. Based till the end
using that one term to try to dismantle this whole theory just isn’t it man, maybe he personally didn’t want to acknowledge his piracy life because he feels total guilt over it
what else am i supposed to use. thats basically all we get of his past. youve conveniently used this one detail to base your theory on, but I cant use it to dismantle it? Oda VERY noteably doesnt mix thief and pirate
at what points exactly did he need to?
At literally any time wapol was doing anything
maybe he doesn’t want to risk that chance to be discovered and since wapol is a government dog, which Rocks is trying to hide from
he doesn’t want to run anymore, he just wants to help people in his birth home
also knowing the fact if he did try to assassinate Wapol as someone else, Wapol would most definitely attack the town and make it suffer even more since who else would want to assassinate Wapol than the other residents of the island
we know Hiriluk wants no harm for the people that he wants to save
the one detail as in Hiriluk going back to Drum Island to become a doctor exactly a year after the God Valley incident, which Hiriluk also encountered the cherry blossoms in the West Blue, where God Valley took place, The country that Blackbeard first attacked which made Wapol run? That one detail right?
yall really want to avoid some good storytelling im just saying
you know what I didnt see at god valley? a single tree
now when did i say he found the cherry blossoms at god valley, im just stating it was near there
ah gotcha
THIS
YES
watch him be the one who switched the fruit with baby shanks, knowing how shitty he is with kids
Wait shanks got swapped for a fruit?
he got swapped with something
knowing how powerful Rocks is, id be shocked if he didn’t get one of the god valley chests
What if imu is the original nika who got corrupted by the snake, and before he could get corrupted to a full extent he made his powers into a fruit. Could be why the nika in elbaf is way different from the regular nika
btw this was toxic. Just because other things line up doesn't change the fact that Oda does not mix thief and pirate.
If anything, Hiriluk could really have been at god-valley because he resembles the king of god valley than he does Rocks in any way shape or form. It would make more sense if he was a bastard son of the king who lived there and robbed people for a living. Escaping God valley just before it got crazy. Rich enough to specifically BUY doctors, before his change of heart, Rocks would probably just force them to heal him. If not, it also wouldn't make sense to say for Rocks to say he's rich enough to go to the best doctors there when all of Rock's money we know was at Hachinosu.
I remember now that Hiriluk exploded his body so that Chopper wasn't the one to kill him with the mushroom.
two things here, drum island is his birth home so him being a prince of God Valley doesn’t work and the other thing is ik Hiriluk killed himself due to not wanting Chopper to feel guilty, but i also there’s many other ways he could’ve done it to himself so it’s interesting he decided to explode his body
Rocks being one of the most powerful pirates and not being rich is crazy
Yeah I guess maybe he wasnt related. But also, the resemblance is kind of noteable. Rocks had tons of money, at Hachinosu
but what says he didn’t have money with him out of Hachinosu?
where's he gonna keep it all? In his pocket? To buy the best doctors for at least a year?
also what if he stole riches from god valley before escaping
chests or bags of it, put on a boat
he was a thief after all
what if it wasnt rocks but Don Marlon
now what would be the significance of that
Just trying to point out anyone could have loaded up a boat and dipped from god valley. It's likely people who didn't care about Rocks could just leave after Rocks get owned by Garp or however it happened. What're the realistic chances beaten and battered, Rocks escaped Roger, Garp, Sengoku, AND the gods knights with a boat full of riches without a distraction. What could possibly distract ALL of them away from Rocks himself after he was beat up
The key thing about the conclusion of God Valley is a mystery, but i will say the fruit would definitely help in this factor in which he would look like a random civilian escaping to the seas just like everyone else was. It’s propaganda made from the Government that they took down Rocks, just give themselves the pat on the back
What I do think couldve happened was that Imu intervened knowing that the two most powerful pirates were at the same island, there’s no way Imu wasn’t involved. I think Imu struck both Rocks and Roger with the same illness, which would eventually kill them. That’s why the government eventually solidified Rocks as dead because Imu knew that Rocks wouldn’t last long anyways.
now, how about, they killed rocks at god valley because they had no other option because imu turned him into a demon! i tell yall, roger and garp, ware helping rocks before he turned
the admiral rocks killed was the father of garp!
I am not gonna lie, mom will join rocks with harald or when they get back
The events at God valley read to me like the events at Marineford. They didnt exactly lie about the outcome, but how it happened. Rocks prolly died to gods knights and the govt didn't want to expose their elite force even being there. Opting to rather give credit to Garp. It would track with how to govt twisted things about the paramount war
the reincarnation
so he imu just infected one of his personas
personally i feel that would retreaded too much with what’s going on now in Elbaf and with Harold’s story plus i think if Imu couldve gotten Rocks why couldn’t they have gotten Roger as well, i think both pirates are too powerful to get domi reversed by Imu
Eh but i really don’t see that much of comparisons other than pirates and marines fighting each other, the parallels stop there
The cover up?
well if they got dorry and brogy, they ´ll probably get a strawhat if not luffy himself
i think a God Valley like event will happen, just hasn’t happened yet, but cover ups are due to happen in many of the battles in one piece, something as big as God Valley that wasn’t live broadcasted like Marineford was is just a different story
yeah why not. so how did you come up with that hiriluk D xebec theory
naruto negs the verse
they can change lot of the narrative when it comes to that, garp and roger could’ve fought rocks for sure i ain’t denying that, but i doubt that was the conclusion of it all since Imu’s involvement
who do you think the killed admiral might be?
Founder of sword
@real tundra here
so, now Rocks is able to escape Imu herself along with Roger, Garp, and several gods knights during a battle? If he was that strong, why not take Imu out right there in the flower room when its just her and gunko
idk how escaping equals being able to be stronger than Imu, we’ve literally seen a case of this with Sabo
He escape the flower room, but he was also supposed to escape from her, the gods knights, roger, and garp all at once at god valley? I mean its clearly not impossible but man if that aint a stretch
@keen trellisdo we know what blackbeard was looking for on drum island?
you just answered it yourself that he straight up escaped the flower room even with Imu, Gunko, Gorosei, Holy Knights, Admirals, Navy, and kings all involved
but that doesn’t sound like a stretch to you? interesting
definitely a stretch. Lil misunderstanding there. The saying goes 'if that aint a X idk what is" I just left out the second part
we don’t know, it’s interesting though that after leaving whitebeard’s crew, that was one of his first stops, and all he apparently does is wreck the place
im not getting your point here tho, since there’s evidence Rocks can slip out of apparent impossible situations, why can’t he with God Valley especially if he disguises himself as someone else which gives him a bigger advantage than he did during his attack in mary geoise
Yoo i discovered what the One Piece is and i also have proofs.... But i will need to add the final details to the theory (not just a theory)
I guess either he went there to look for something and found it/not found it or wanted get a small quick revenge because hated the place for some reason as welcome to his new career
Personally, I don't count escaping the holy land alone an impossible situation since we know a several people who've done it in the story. The impossible situation is escaping everyone at god valley when the attention was largely focused on Rocks after he presumably interrupts the hunting competition. Perhaps after he did a swap. Its like Luffy escaping marineford but he had the help of nobody since literally everyone disliked Rocks. Even his crew. I just don't see it as a realistic option. There would not be a chance to assume a disguise after he caused such a commotion
Rocks probably got caught/knocked out and then his crew stopped fighting to say "aight, we outty" which accounts for why they basically all made it out
Rocks escaping God Valley to become Hiriluk as a low-key redemption arc I think doesn't add anything to the overall plot of One piece. Again, I don't think its impossible, just kinda unlikely and not a great plot point
would it be possible for them to betray rocks and leave him in a ditch where he gets ultimately killed? after that they would escape with kaido's help given big mom lent him the seiryu fruit
See now that makes more sense, it furthers the idea that you cant force a 'found family' with davy back fights. Those aren't real connections and create people in your life you can count on in a pinch. You have to make real connections like the Straw Hats
Doffy had a way more loyal crew because of the bonds he made growing up over a life time. Thats why they lay their lives on the line for him. Rocks' crew was always gonna dip the first chance they got. The only thing they had in common is that they didn't like Rocks
So with Rocks a confirmed Davy Back fight enjoyer can we safely assume that Roger lost one in their first encounter? Maybe this is how Rocks claimed Whitebeard?
wait since when are we assuming that Whitebeard was part of Rogers crew?
Don't we see a flashback of Roger going out to sea for the first time with WB? I would feel safe to assume that they would just sail around together, at least for a while.
what? where, when?
that’s the point of Blackbeard’s character i feel not Rocks, even though Rocks learned that after being abandoned i do still he escaped from it, but at the same time i aint ever changing your mind even when you tried to say “everyone was focused on Rocks” even though multiple pirate forces including Rogers would’ve been a focus like don’t deny that, Rocks was just as much of a focus when broke into the Holy Lands because he literally was not supposed be there at all and the fact he broke into the highest authority (Imu’s crib) made obviously way more of a target
I messed up. It was the flashback with Rayleigh and Roger it wasnt WB lol
ahh fuck this probably what i was thinking of
Rocks not being able to escape because his crew abandoned him matches the messaging of One piece Rather than he escaped on his own into a redemption arc. Roger and Garp TOGETHER took down Rocks that was the real story, the govt left out Roger part. Blackbeard's crew actually share some ideologies so his crew might actually try to get him out of a sticky situation. I wouldn't be surprised to find out if his crew wants BB to see his dream to the end. I dont think I'm the one not being open to new ideas. Not saying your theory is totally impossible, just that it doesn't really match the themes and characterization of OP. Along with being a huge stretch
I still think WB being on Roger's crew at some point seems compelling, they clearly have a friendly relationship
I think what Hiriluk said about not being forgotten is important too. What does it mean to forget about someone. Can their will live on while the name and face gets forgotten? Does that count? I think it does. I feel Hiriluk is speaking to the heart of what a person is. It's more than just their face and body. Their hopes, dreams, and wills all live on in the people we interact and share this world with. It's not faces that go down in history. It is will. Joyboy, the ancient giants, everyone. I think Rocks had a fundamental misunderstanding of this concept and why he told Harold that he has the blood of warriors and used that as a justification as to why he should fight with him
I think by the first time they meet they both have full crews at that point so idk about that idea now. I was with you initially lol
Looking back at the god valley chapter the timeline doesn't match up either, Roger lost to Rocks orginally 39 years before current events
rip to this theory!
Still like the idea of Rocks and Roger doing a Davy Back fight though, seems fuckin sick!
I'll just leave it as a theory up in the air, Nefertari D. Viví, He will do like Lily and would spread the truth of the government and the world, with the help of the newspaper, that's why he is with the Morgans bird
Viví will do as her ancestors, Lily with the ponelglyft, and will spread the truth this time with another means... (I don't remember how to spell ponelglyft sorry)
Here's a question for yall
What do you think is gonna be Blackbeard's third DF, assuming he does not already have it
My theory is Marco's
That way he'd have gotten all 3 of his DFs from killing his old crewmates, plus he'd have one for each type
wait
If the Man frozen in Impel Down is Rocks, and the theory of the heart transplant being the immortality surgery, then could the line about preserving the body for the future mean that Rocks can reclaim his old body?
Also it'd mean that If Imu is indeed inside Lily, then their old body also is someplace frozen and preserved? Like is that a needed facet of the power, you're physical body must exist?
I think the upcoming war will end with Ussop sacrificing himself for Luffy. Here’s how I think it will go down: Luffy is locked in an intense confrontation with Imu. He is running out of strength and starting to be overwhelmed. Things are looking dire, Ussop, fighting with the Gorosei, sees Imu about to land a finishing blow on his captain. At that very moment one of the Gorosei attacks Ussop, but instead of avoiding the attack, he make a choice, with all his strength he fires one shot unleashing the greatest showing of conquers haki we’ve ever seen. His shot hits Imu right in the back temporarily stunning and severing Imu’s connection to the void marks. With all his remaining strength Luffy lands a decisive blow on Imu perfectly recreating the strike he landed on Charlos. We see Ussop standing there, mortally wounded, and in a soul crushing panel he thanks Luffy for letting him be on his crew, for being his friend, and for helping him achieve his dream. As he passes away we see his body, still standing, not a scratch on his back, a callback to the death of Whitebeard. The war ends with the Strawhats victorious. In a two page spread we see the whole crew(including the grand fleet) laughing, tears streaming down their faces as they morn the loss of their dear friend.
