paramecia can regenerate
I don't think so
law can regenerate his arm
im talking about this see his left hand see the mark thats exactly where gaban hit him
maybe but i somewhere saw the same mark imu had
they are Imus knight so yeah i think imu also gave them immortality
also i saw this theory somewhere what do you think?
My theory,
Shanks was once a spy for the World Government, secretly serving Imu, the highest authority, as a “Holy Knight.” He wore a full-sleeve shirt to hide the seal given to him by Imu, which controlled him like a puppet. This seal forced him to obey, and it might even be responsible for Gol D. Roger’s illness during his journey. Shanks was unable to go to Laugh Tale because of Imu’s restrictions.
During the end of Roger’s journey, Roger might have spoken to Shanks, perhaps asking him to find the Devil Fruit. When Roger was captured by the Navy, Shanks was curious enough to witness his captain’s execution and heard Roger’s famous words: “You want my treasure? You can have it! I left everything I gathered together in one place! Now you just have to find it!” These words stayed with him, guiding his actions.
Shanks later formed his own crew and started searching for the Devil Fruit, eventually realizing its importance to the World Government. But he couldn’t protect it for long, as Imu ordered him to return it. It was then that Shanks understood his own shackles—his role as Imu’s servant.
When Shanks found Luffy, who had eaten the Devil Fruit, he recognized something familiar in him: Luffy’s determination to become the Pirate King, just like Roger’s dream. Luffy’s words, “I’m going to find the One Piece and make the strongest crew,” echoed Roger’s message.
The turning point came when Shanks protected Luffy from a sea king, losing his arm in the process. This moment marked Shanks’ rebellion against Imu. He freed himself from Imu’s control and rejected his role as a Holy Knight, believing in the new generation, led by Luffy, to fulfill Roger’s will. Shanks realized that Luffy was the key to breaking free from the World Government’s grip, symbolizing the dawn of a new era.
In the end, Luffy inherited everything—Roger’s will, the Devil Fruit, Shanks’ hat, and the quest for the One Piece..
I just read the chapter and I think everyone predicted this matchup and that Scopper would be able to deal real damage to the Holy Knights.
But this ain’t Haki. Nah. This is Love. Classic trope. Gotta be
Scooper Gabban made a point of it. He has the power of love - something we’ve seen in many stories that that can overcome hatred and anger. When you fight with love - you cut cleanly through the darkness.
In wano we see Luffy learn to use Ryou which is an advanced form of Armament Haki. He also learned to use Haki of the Supreme King in his fighting which let him deal real damage to Kaido but proved less effective against the Five Elders.
What if this is just another advanced form of Haki that can only be forged with a strong heart and compassion for your enemies? If anyone would have the heart to do it - surely the man who refers to himself as the Preacher of Love
nah thats bullshit
love haki really if that was true so many fights would have been changed by now
i dont think this is true. shanks grew up with rogers. if he was controlled. he would have given the fruit to imu which imu wanted for 800 years. it was buggy the one who got sick and couldn't go to laughtale. and lastly we did saw shanks sleeveless
yeah i know that just saw this theory somewhere
Well Vegeta
Love is always BS when it comes to fantasy but the power of it can be seen across the genre all the same.
Maybe it’s not as easy as just having love for your friends or loved ones. My theory is that this Scopper having compassion for his enemies and allies alike is part of the condition. It’s not something that can be done as easily as it is said and Scopper, being one who knows the truth of the world, may just be able to love an enemy like a mother would her own children.
To love all unconditionally might be the key. But it might require an understanding that your enemies are also victims of their own stories. it might not be as straight-forward as having love imbued in your attacks. It might require you to remove hatred or negative emotions from your attacks.
but luffy always love all unconditionally a prime example of this is nico robin she was a villain but joined as a strawhat if what you are saying is true then luffy should have been able to damage gorosei luffy is litterally declared as sun god who made people laugh and who was the kindest of them all
we already saw what attack works on them. "haki". joyboys haki showed us that. what kind of haki we dont know. there might be some type of advance haki that we dont know that works against them and imu.
agreed remember when imu shit his pants that was when joyboys haki was released
If it’s revealed that the technique Scopper used is an advanced form of supreme King Haki that doesn’t involve love or removing negative emotions - then I’ll concede. But I think love is the key here. So for now I’m standing on the theory and would suggest that maybe what we saw at the end of Egg-Head uses the same type of energy- but with much greater power since he was Joy Boy.
As for Luffy, he might be a kind and forgiving soul who is simple at heart, but that does not make him love unconditionally and he’s proven himself to have quite the temper at times. Especially in the first half of the story.
i have another theory about joyboy and blackbeards connection
In the Egghead Island arc, Vegapunk speculates that devil fruit users have two souls. so i think gaban attacks also damages the soul of the devilfruit.
tell us bro
Joy Boy may have been the first person to wield multiple Devil Fruit powers.
Given his mythic status and the enormous influence he left on history, it’s plausible that Joy Boy achieved something previously thought impossible just like Blackbeard, who later replicated this feat. Joy Boy could have originally wielded the Yami Yami no Mi (Dark-Dark Fruit) and later inherited the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, possibly after the fall of the original Nika who owns the Giant strawhat in holyland. This would make him a unique being: someone carrying both the power to liberate and the power to destroy, embodying the duality of light and darkness. We already Witness a Black Nika in Elbaf. That was probably a clue. I also think Joy Boy had Laws fruit too and was the one who made Imu Immortal for reason unknown. Whitebeard telling balckbeard he wasn't the one roger was waiting for kinda implied blackbeard wanted to be joyboys reincarnation but why would he choose to have the dark fruit ? Maybe because he learned that joyboy used to have the dark dark fruit.
GOOD THEORY BRO
How Scopper Gaban permanently damaged Sommers
** I think ** that his Axes are most probably special which belongs to a special category on its on (it is another system than Meito but not exclusive of it)
We might see Luffy wielding some kind of weapon as the prior Hito Hito nomi Model Nika presumably Nika first gen wielded weapons of some kind same cant be confirmed for Joyboy
** Second Possibility ** is Haki of a kind which probably combines all three types but its vaguely speculative not much of a theory
But We dont know if Gorosei & Holy Knights have same kind of regeneration? , It might as well be ACoC since exclusion of Luffy & Zoro who use it from the story. We can see sparks of some kind when Gaban swing with axe to gash Sommer’s Chest which is suggestive of Haki but its absent when his hand is cut off
Since the beginning of One Piece Luffy always wanted to have a musician on his crew. I don't know how many times exactly he said it, but here are 3 occasions:
And gladly, he found one on Thriller Bark. This is also the first time we come across the song "Binks' Sake",Some people believe that Luffy's dream is to throw the biggest party there ever was and obviously you would need music for that occasion, but who knows.
Sound reasonable i like this one. I would enjoy this.
So just wondering, Does anyone think Gunko deep down is a Soul King super fan, Like, SUPER FAN!, as in, we may get a flashback of her hyping brook up!?! or is that too big of a "interpretation"?
I got a feeling the St.Briss from Skypiea has something to do with Elbaph. The flags look a little too similar. I had a feeling it would be Loki's because of the ancient giant looking man on the map of Skypiea that was on the St. Briss but it couldn't have been close because it was 200 years old.
I wonder if it had something to do with the WG because of this portrait Sanji found on the shipwreck. It looks kinda like Nefertari to me
i think she is a super fan. thats why you could see gunko hurting when he kicked brook. not sure if he was hurt due to brooks devil fruit power or she was heart broken for kicking her idol.
thats what made me think she was aswell
no. its not. if you go watch the anime. looks completely different than lily or vivy. and the hair color is also different
about her being a fan or about her getting affected by brooks devil fruit?
about her being a fan, i dont think brook has the power "Yet" to stop them

there should be a time skip after elbaf, where the whole crew gets stonger
they are already pretty strong. if the holyknights or gorosie dont have regeneration then for sure the strawhats will be able to defeat them.
Brook, Usopp and possable franky should all get an upgrade from Elbaf either during or by the end of it, Brook with his powers, Franky with all that ancient tec we saw, and ussop finally getting a back bone, (I hope) and the others can improve as well.
Usopp is actually plenty strong already. i think he upgraded his "Stars" bullet to do massive damage. wasn't anyone surprise how powerful his attack was that destroyed half of gunko? but yeah he does need to be atleast have some self confidence. luffy literraly told usopp he could have taken care of that giant cat lion by himself easily. that should be tellin already that usopp is strong. he just needs to get serious and have confidence in his abilities.
i think luffy was more imply that he "should be able to do that himself by now" a jab at him if anything, Id really like if usopp possibly obtained a new wepon, it can still be a slingshot type weapon but it should be procurved as mythical/ancient
Ussop isn't that strong right now considering how much time he's had to improve. This was the attack he used on Gunko a few chapters before that
nah i dont think luffy is like that. knowing his personality, he meant what he said that usopp could defeat that giant cat easily. and usopp did clarify he could but he was already in the cats mouth when he woke up. also he only got sucker punch by that cat because he thought it was an illusion.
u can't compare luffy with conquerors using a giant size king kong gun attack that is meant for blunt attack which is very effective against wall to usopp aoe fire attack. fire is definitely not effective against a giant block of walls. and giants wall is probably 100 ttimes way thicker than a regular human size wall.
So, that last sentence is headcanon and a giants wall is probably zeus level if not less. And also, its not just throwing fire, thats an entire explosion. Not just lighting a match and throwing it at a wall or something that just makes no sense
look no matter what we think of usopp with his power level we must all agree he need to power up in some way shape or form
He hasn't gotten a major powerup in about a decade anyways
bro have you seen how anything is in elbaf. they look 100 times bigger than a regular normal human size. were you expecting a normal size wall? an explosion is consider an aoe while luffys giant king kong gun is consider a single target attack. pretty sure it will be effective against a giant size wall. also we can't compare luffys attack to usopp lol. just like a bazooka is much more effective at destroying walls than a grenade.
i agree. all he need is to master his observation haki and gain future sight. his sniper skill is already top tier. because there is just no way for him to defeat van augur with teleportation devil fruit without a future sight.
thats so true, he dead ass has the talent for sniping we can all agree he has that skill, its his mentality and overall strength that is holding him back, id bet money that we will see a change in either mentality or strength by the end of elbaf, even just one would be enough to give him the edge in the New World
we did see a glimpse of him using advance observation haki in film red. was some type of future sight that able him to see past other dimensions or parallel universe. also we saw some instances where he could sense danger first before the rest of the strawhats like the giant shark robot on egghead. usopp doesnt need no armament haki because he is a sniper. im sure he knows seastone bulletts work with devilfruit user so he must have invented something or have some upgraded stars bullet that is lace with seastone. he just needs confidence man.
this is my headcanon about usopp. i think future usopp are the one feeding present usopp with those absurd lies that he claim he did. maybe future usopp will have an observation haki that can Transend time. future usopp observation haki will probably allow him to communicate or send information to his past self.
I think luffy is going to use rumble balls
I js feel like he is gonna be broken
it might even be gear 6 !!!!!!!!!
i think rumble ball only work with beast like folk
Luffy's Devil Fruit was a special Human-Human fruit like chopper's so it might work
Ok whilst I agree Usopp don't need armament Haki, he has been teased to have Observation Haki a couple of times.
But I will say armament Haki would make sense for Usopp because armament doesn't just include yourself, objects can be coated or infused with Haki. I believe that's what his dad does which is why he carries a normal looking gun but his bullets can blow things up, the gun/bullets aren't exactly special it's just the haki infusement he gives them.
nah yasopp definitely hit a barrel full of gunpowder or gas that made the whole ship explode. and i dont think haki infused bullets will make an explosion.
That's fair to say except haki has frequently had explosive/blast like effects, yasopps would just be a advanced version. I do agree other things exploded on that ship too but still think his bullets are haki infused
Usopp is really low tier right now for sure. I think we will see him use him his Observation to see enemy future, but he will never see his own future, it would be perfect contra for Van Augur. Make it fair for enemy, and change this fight intro survivability battle.
agree. when it comes to sniping maybe he is equal to van augur but with van augur teleportation, usopp needs to master advance observation haki.
I think mastering any Haki for Ussop will be bad for his character. I like him be weak, but smart, fight even all odds is against him. Give him special Opservation Haki skill, but still give us as a reader vibe his lacking other skill even if they around his speciality. This way of power up him would be better in my opinion.
im sure usopp will be the strongest observation haki user in the future. oda gave us that glimpse in film red where usopp could see and talk to other people from other dimentions.
I think also he will be Great warrior of the see with some awesome ability, but still in compared to other high tier character with Observation Haki he will laking skill in other aspect of this type of power.
i really think he will be the best observation haki user. those lies that he told that came true. probably stories that his future self experience.
If random Amazon lily guards arrows explode like that yassop can explode a ship
so what are the theories for how scopper damages regen users?
It could just be some form of haki that does it which isn't really a logical reason. One theory I heard actually incorporating a bit of reason is that scopper chopped it off so fast the arm and its regen powers didn't even realize it was gone and needing to be healed but I kinda doubt that.
It'd be cool if there was actual logic behind it besides magical new haki but we shall see
Thats not canon
Not only it’s not canon, his idea is from attack on titan
SO, this isn't my theory, it belongs to Totally Not Mark in Part 4 of his Egghead Arc review. But here's what he said, and it's pretty brilliant:
God Valley didn't vanish. It moved.
Specifically, it somehow became what is currently Thriller Bark. During the beginning of Thriller Bark arc, it was stated that the floating island came from the West Blue. When we get to see God Valley in the flashback in the Egghead arc, it's stated that God Valley is in the West Blue. The dead bodies that can be found on the island are the people who died during the Celestial Dragons' horrific manhunt, along with Navy personnel, members of Rocks' terrorists, and Roger's pirates who died in the ensuing battle. That's the only explanation I can think of as to how Moria got his hands on the corpses of such powerful people like Captain John and Oars, seeing as he probably wasn't strong enough to sail the world and find them himself. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Ryuma was part of Rocks' group.
This would retroactively make Thriller Bark one of the most important story arcs in the series.
Credit to Totally Not Mark for the theory
Just agenda atp
Captain John I agree with, in fact people have speculated that the other zombies around Captain John were members of the Rocks Pirates (besides Ochoku) like Silver Axe or the one with the long beard. (See pics below)
But I don’t agree that Oars and Ryuma were related to God Valley or Rocks pirates because
- Moria says he collected Oars’ body from a frozen island and
- we know that Ryuma’s sword was stolen from Wano a long time ago. Normally a samurai’s burial involves the body and sword being buried with to each other. In other words, Moria stole Ryuma’s body while he was in Wano many years ago.
At first I thought Imu had used Uranus (or whatever the weapon is) to wipe GV off the map, but we haven’t heard of a crater like the one from Luluscia. Either way, Moria is currently 50 years old and is from the West Blue so he probably found a piece of GV by chance. I’m more impressed with the shipwright that made it tbh lol
Ochoku wasn’t one of the zombies as he was alive at that point. But interestingly enough there was a claw weapon zombie and a four arms guy both in rocks and as zombie generals
A four arms guy? Really, in Rocks crew?
In your picture
At Kaidous right arm , seems to be the face under the helmet guy in the face shoots
This isn’t ochoku but it’s very likely the same person
Some people even see the fishman guy
Oh I totally didn’t view him as somebody with 4 arms but I can sorta tell why now. In the officials, his right-side isn’t as visible as what you shared.
Captain Kidd is most likely Vegapunks dark/adventurous side and 7th satellite. There's going to be huge significance on why Kidd was created and why he isn't with the other 6. Maybe Kidd will get a power up when he's the final vegapunk left. Kidd himself might not be a satellite, but him bringing out a skeleton, calling him his "damned punk" and that punk has a 07 on it. It has to mean Kidd has extremely close ties with Vegapunk.
Each of the satellites are numbered as well:
The biggest piece of evidence (the 07 on the gun as well as punk reference). The anime episode came out recently and i noticed the big "07" on his gun: In the latest chapter, York says she's the only Dr. Vegapunk left in the world. In the same panel, Nusjuro says No. Not yet... He might be referring to something else but Oda doesn't do things on coincidence:
the armor (helmet, specifically) on the guy between the red and blue circles resembles the guards stationed around mary geoise
I think we still don't know enough about Haki.
They all apply a coating and advantages, yes, but how it does that is too nebulous.
I think all types of haki are derivatives of CoC and ACOC, for example:
Armament is the ability to Will/Command the body to harden and/or coat it in a way that prevents touching from happening. A bit like naterializing the energy of the soul.
Advanced armament could be to infuse an object with haki, ordering the object to either take different forms or explode and change properties.
Observation would be to observe someone else's will/spirit, allowing to better read an opponent's movements.
Advanced Observation would be to force yourself and your spirit inside someone else's and basically read their thoughts and feels like seeing the future because the entire process takes a lot of time.
Conqueror's would be the ability to impose your will to different people, like Luffy refusing Sanji's refusal and almost always winning arguments because he's stubborn.
It could also be when he makes weak-minded people faint in a large area, essentially dissipating their consciousness by force.
ACOC would be, as seen with Kaidou, to harmonize every type of haki in an advanced way and conquering your own self and subconscious.
With ACOC, observation becomes possible but almost useless.
Additionally, Devil Fruits might be a technology that works as follows:
A dream of the soul turns to reality by forcing the person that ate it to constantly use Conqueror's or armament on themselves. People that do or would of had haki potential but don't.
Armamemt/conqueror ACOC: Logias, ordering their bodies to change shapes and properties and the world around them.
Parametia: Armament + Advanced Armament.
M + Z: Account for previous user wills and haki.
Zoan: Observation + Armament.
Mythical Zoan: All types of haki.
Suspicious thing: Only Zoans or MZ have will of previous users. Could Mera-Mera be a MZ as well?
It also cannot be denied that there needs to be a reason why Haki can directly hurt DF and defend against them
Swordsmen:
A person would need tremendous haki to be able to bring a permanent change to reality, such as transforming a sword to a black blade or reaching divine swordsmanship.
Conquering oneself and keep improving.
human are animal like the others. That's why Zoan ( which are " beast devil's fruit ) contain legend like Buddha or Nika. It'll defo work on Luffy's DF. But at this point I don't see the usefulness for Luffy since he can already control his form at will and only his imagination is in the way. Rumble ball is, imo, a pills that allows you to bypass the limitation or traditionnal Zoan and allows oneself to outshape the fruits power's limitation.

This is a fun theory, but Moria absolutely was strong enough to sail the world in his prime. He's just gotten... complacent fat and depressed lately is all
Oh these are totally the same guys
is the regeneration power a part of the same immortality that the elders have? if so ( which i think it is )
cant the immortality be the same immortality given to people by laws devil fruit? i mean they know abt the operation
who says they didnt enslave the last 30 users of the ope ope no me and made all of them give immortality to the world goverments most important people?
seems like the regeneration works the same way a logia does. Imu seems able to grant bodies that same attribute. Maybe his own devil fruit is awakened in a way that allows him to give others his fruit's powers?
the “ imu has the devil fruit of all devil fruits “ theory is lame as hell but if it was true and oda didnt make it lame as hell it could probably work
i don't mean it like that, i mean that the same way awakened fruits can affect the world around them, like nika giving others rubber properties, Imu can make other people have properties as well. So Imu has some kind of abilitiy to regenerate and gives it to the God Knights and Elders
ohhh yeaahh that makes sense too
TL;DR: BB can't turn intangible because BB in a lit area is like Crocodile in a rainstorm
Saw a theory recently that the reason the Dark Dark fruit behaves so differently than other logias (as in why he can't turn intangible), is NOT because of the suction sort of "keeping him together" like I had been assuming this whole time - but because we've only seen him use it while there is light
Just like Crocodile turning tangible when struck with water, its possible Blackbeard is tangible at all times because of the constant light, whether it be artificial light, sunlight or moonlight (which is just sunlight again but you get my point)
and before you say it; Yes I am aware he said his darkness can suck in light, but Crocodile can suck up water and he still turns tangible when covered in it, so while BB could probably suck up all of Kizarus laser beams, I don't think he's able to absorb the constant lighting all around him
plus the one time we saw him in complete darkness (under the tarp at Marineford), we saw him walk out having done something no other DF user has managed to achieve (as far as we know) so I think it has some solid backing to it
anyone got good theory videos from the last week or so to watch? im feeling ill and need substsnce
Check out my theory on the true mystery of Elbaf resolved:
I have a crazy theory about what the one piece is....I think it's a manga of JoyBoys adventures
Because Rodger called the one piece a tale full of laughs and that's why he named the island Laughtale also I think it would explain the history of the void century
I know it's a quite farfetched and out there theory as everyone is speculating on what it is thought I'd toss mine out
What if Gaban was able to physically block the healing, not stop it, like how on Amazon lily, they embued haki into the arrows, what if hes imbued his on haki onto sommer's stopping the arm entirely?
(Heads up I havent scrolled through yet and will be doing so, ill update if I see a similar post)
i was thinking about something similar actually. but your theory is interesting. what if there was something more to than just haki that is stopping the healing of the arm and what if gaban knows the way to deal with the god knights
I do wonder how the WG never followed roger to laugh tale
I saw this from the crap cafe video. It’s an interesting theory but as I was watching it it felt like he was using some of the stuff I said the day directly before he released it in here and modified it. Part of me wonders how many people get their ideas stolen by theory YouTube’s and how many of them are completely original.
Welcome Back to The Crap Café! ☕️ Blackbeard has been one of One Piece’s greatest enigmas for over two decades—but today, we’re cracking the case! In this deep-dive theory, I connect the dots across the entire series to uncover the truth behind his powers, his strange body, and unique abilit to steal devil fruits!! From hidden symboli...
It’s probably coincidence but it’s odd that right after I typed out theory stuff the day before a lot of similar points are hit in this video like saying bbs power can temporarily pull out the soul of devil fruits and bbs bucanneer lineage messes with his soul
Any one have thoughts on if gaban’s ability to wound the dragons could be related to the material used to make the axes? Two thoughts are that we’ve seen sea stone infused weapons already in the lore and could this simply be another application of that technology? It gives another layer of justification to shanks and crew not utilizing devil fruits as shanks would have seen the value in being able to wield weapons that can damage imu/god knights. Second thought is we’ve already seen what can cut and permanently wound a god knight: a sea king tooth. The jagged nature of the back of gabans axe makes me wonder if this blade could be made from or incorporated with a large sea king tooth to imbue those properties (maybe even just dipped in their saliva or something along those lines too). Learning this tech would be a relatively quick but majorly impactful upgrade to our non df holding straw hats that would take up less chapters than the whole crew goes on a haki training arc again.
Luffy gets knuckles and combat sandals and he can’t do shit against the knights without them? But with them he just fights normally? I highly doubt that
ye it could be , gaban is not a df user but his axes might be made from sea stone which is interrupt the regeneration ability , i have read some theories some people says that he was mixing adv arm haki with conquerors , but that wasn't convincing enough to me lol
Just trying to think of ways that narratively the rest of the strawhats have a point to existing outside of non combat comedy. It would make sense that Imu would want to develop Nika-proof soldiers so making them impervious to all attacks a df user with the power of imagination makes sense, but it would also leave the blind spot of non df seastone shenanigans.
I have a suuuuuper theory on how one piece will end and it all revolves around the mural from elbaf
Prob just ends with jimbe using the ancient weapons to eliminate all non fish man just to give it a random ending
I think this is the right room so I’ll put it here :3
The main thing is from the mural, you saw that there was 3 worlds, one was nika, one was joyboy, one is the current world, nika and joyboy both fought to try and free the worlds and lost which caused those worlds to end, but with the current world the poem said surely they would meet again and then we see the sun god (luffy) fighting darkness itself (imu) with various troops supporting luffy and marines supporting imu. Back in marineford during whitebeards speech we heard him mention a war that would happen sometime in the future that the marines were scared of. Whitebeard never went to laughtale so he only knew because roger told him everything after he sailed the world. Then in fishman island madam sharyly made a fortune that luffy would be the destruction of fishman island, yet it never happened? That’s because it will be fulfilled after this war, when vegapunk died he stated in his speech that whoever lays claim on the on the one piece will flood this world. That’s exactly why the noah was in fishman island, the fishmen had to protect the noah for a prophecy was told a long time ago, so when the world floods the fishmen will bring the Noah up and every race in the one piece universe will get on it. The flood has been hinted at several times, from the bridge that was being built for 700 years, to iceberg wanting to make water 7 float, then we heard that wano flooded hundreds of years ago. The first episode of egghead we see imu use an ancient weapon to wipe an island off the map, and when egghead returned after the hiatus we saw islands flooding, earthquakes happening, so it’s obvious that ancient weapons are the reason for the world flooding. This is why celestial dragons live on the red line, they know the world is flooding so they choose to live high up to stay safe.
The next part to this theory is what will happen after the war, once this world floods and imu is defeated, the world will be flipped upside down (foreshadowed back when roger said this to rayleigh). The sun god will reign over the world while darkness returns to the bottom, the red line will surely be destroyed either during the war or after the war due to the flood. This is where every strawhats dream comes into play.
- All blue would be created (sanji)
- World’s greatest swordsman (zoro)
- Become a brave warrior of the sea (Usopp)
- To build a ship that can sail the entire world (franky)
- To meet laboon again (Brook)
- To create a world map (Nami)
- To uncover the rio ponegliff and learn the void century (robin)
- To cure any sickness in the world (Chopper)
- To create equality between humans and fishmen (Jinbe)
All of these dreams that may seem impossible currently will become reality after this war, once luffy destroys this world we will enter the final world where people won’t have to suffer, impossible dreams are possible now, that is what luffy’s 2nd dream is (the one we weren’t told at the end of wano)
There’s a theory that went around that said every arc is mirroring different arcs, and I believe elbaf would be mirroring marineford. Luffy trained with silver rayleigh to become stronger, and now we meet gaban, so I believe it’ll be another training arc soon, then blackbeard shows up on elbaf and kills a marine (garp) which would anger luffy and koby. That would lead us into god valley which would be luffy and koby vs blackbeard pirates, god knights will be deployed then which would spark the revolutionary army showing up which leads into an all-out war, ultimately leading into the one piece and the final war being luffy vs imu.
I believe the one piece is more of a story to be told, which explains why roger called the island “laughtale” a story that made him laugh until he cried, and after they left laughtale he said maybe that voice was telling the truth and that they were before their time.
That would explain how whitebeard knew about the final war, roger was told by a voice on laughtale, he knew about this final war and what the will of D really is.
Another side detail that I wanna add is roger died from a terminal sickness, so I believe if the story really is mirroring itself, luffy would be the opposite of that, being immortal, and the only way he could become immortal is from law, who could preform the surgery to make luffy immortal, if this were to happen I think it would be because law and luffy teamed up from punk hazard to wano so he can trust luffy, and would give him immortality so blackbeard wouldn’t be able to take it and become immortal himself
Oh it also explains why big news morgan is in a blimp in the sky, he was at laughtale with roger so he sits in the sky because he knows a flood will happen, Rayleigh also knows which is why he coats ships, crocus lives inside of laboon ^^
i dislike luffy being immortal tbh but the rest of the theory is really nice
him being immortal would be a direct restriction of him being unable to leave the mortal realm, which becomes a prison in and of itself (note the phrasing of the saying, the sweet release of death, where you get freedom to pass on to the next life)
unless oda does some "you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" thing and joyboy is actually imu so luffy ends up becoming immortal, and his devil fruit being as broken as it is + being immortal (which is unnatural) makes the sea hate him even more, granting luffy the title of "imu" and becoming the villain of the next cycle, therefore turning the series turns into another ouroboros ending which is extremely common in japanese literature and culture so honestly sure why not
but that outcome is so unsubstantiated and i dont like it so i hope oda doesnt do that
Ok. Here is a thought. During Egghead, we had Kuma's backstory, the rest of Reverie, etc.
I see Robin, Gaban, and rest of the library/school strawhat crew finishing off the god knights before the monster trio arrive with Loki.
We will get 2 things:
- Loki's backstory
- the Mari Geoise "emergency" that Shamrock was called back for, which is believe is either BB or the revolutionary army's continued assault
Yea that makes sense, but if that’s the case then im still wondering what oda would do with laws immortality surgery, could be like making luffy immortal to fight imu then he sacrifices himself by using an ancient weapon to defeat imu or something, seems a little wacky but I know oda didn’t just throw that ability on law to not ever use it
considering law awakened his df i think maybe he could use the awakened version to have the surgery done but not kill himself
there's no way oda is killing off law bc oda doesnt do that, although killing pedro did happen and was a hell of a surprise when it did
dude this timer is really annoying bc we can't actually discuss any theories. it's just post and let be
Yea the timer is very annoying ;-;
As far as we know (or as far as I know) eustass kid was “killed”
he wasnt confirmed to be dead or alive yet but yeah there's a big chance we see him work with the straw hats in elbaf, considering that we already got the luffy x law arc
and on top of the Kid = vegapunk / is related in some way to him theory, that'd be a great reveal to have especially this arc
i feel like the gods knights being dealt with before the monster trio shows up would be cool if we saw substantial upgrades to the other straw hats but....how are any of them (except jimbei) picking up armament and then further advancing it in one arc to luffy level minimum, and then beating the gods knights
bc scopper def used some form of armament, unless there's another power system to be added (in the final saga which i dont like)
if it was conq haki then there's just no chance anyone except luffy and zoro are doing anything meaningful, and if it was a form of advanced armament, add sanji and jimbei to the mix ig. but we need some powerups that allow every strawhat to deal with regen somehow and that points to a parallel form of haki imo (similar to spin and hamon in jojos)
@opaque steeple we already know, from Egghead that there is a level of Haki that hurts Imu
right but if it's raw haki then expecting any of the non trio+jimbei members to do damage isn't feasible bc the only other member to get even a semblance of haki was usopp in dressrosa, and that was observation
Plus I believe Gunko's soft spot for Brook will be her demise
idk abt soft spot bc she asked brook to ball out for her and when he refused she beat his ass
i honestly hope it stays as a fun little "younger generation keeps in touch with pop stars" thing bc it really doesnt need to be a plot point honestly
knowing oda it'll definitely mean something but also at the same time it doesnt need to
The power of love 💕 most likely
wait yall considering the parallels to sabaody so far (the straw hats are largely helpless, can't beat the new powers of regen in their current state, a wing of the pirate king is what saves them) what if we end up getting another timeskip? farfetched but we had the first timeskip right before the red line in paradise, and then another timeskip before the red line in the new world that lets the straw hats grow in power considerably (bc some of them are barely stronger than their pre-timeskip strength honestly) (like there's some upgrades but also damn someone help chopper out). maybe not an insane 2 year one like before but just a couple months to get their shit together which also helps prep them for the big war incoming. im talking an upgrade that'd make usopp stronger than alabasta luffy, so like a significant upgrade for every member
like surely oda doesnt plan on going through the upgrade arc for every straw hat in real time (though it's oda so who knows) and we're in a good position for them to get buffed (except for the monster trio ofc)
main counter to this theory is that scopper seems to handily get rid of regen in contrast to rayleigh putting in way more effort and attempting to even fend off the logia power in kizaru so it'll probably be way more immediate of an upgrade
I think it might be somehow tied to black blade. Black blade should be a new feat for Zoro and should have another perk than " making your blade black and strike harder "
my issue with these specific solutions to beating regen is how do u apply this to the wider crew, when the only other swordsman is brook and he doesn't even have armament yet. luffy being the mc will never be able to damage the gorosei and the knights and even imu if black blade is the solution
Another counter for this is Raleigh suggested two years for a very specific reason...he knows WHEN they need to get to Laugh Tale.
Another "training period" may cause them to be too late
The Gods Knight also know WHEN they need to prepare and gather troop for the " final war "
yeah i like this, this makes sense. all the same we gonna get some upgrades this arc if not never
I have a theory that ussop will use mjiolnir in elbaf. I was rewatching alabasta and I got to the part where he used the 5 ton hammer. Don't most of his lies come true?
Yeah. Most of them come true so I really just don't see the point of this one specifically being true just because it's a hammer
- His lies have been getting increasingly more false over time so I really don't see it happening at all. Thats like saying Luffy will take Sommers' thorn bat and use it in Elbaph just because he used it in Gear 5 on Egghead

Fair enough, didn’t realize this channel takes fiction so seriously
Especially when the author himself makes jokes into serious plot points
You’re welcome to explain those serious plot points in great detail here. But what you wrote previously about “Zosan EOS” wasn’t high-effort by our standards.
There are other channels like #manga that isn’t as strict and you can share your thoughts there.
i really think we will have Blackbeard vs Luffy
somewhere near fishman island
(or maybe wano)
because we know 2 ancient weapons location and both are protected by Luffy
now Blackbeard knows both and he will go for them and of course he will go with his crew including kuzan and they are no match for momo and other samurai
only Luffy can save them
Theories I have about future events:
Revolutionaries Vs Holy Knights & Admirals
Dragon makes his move once we see all of the HKs revealed?
Blackbeard makes a similar enterance as he did on MF
Impel Down prisoners possibly being moved to Mary Geoise as hinted by Doflamingo
Jailbreak and interferance with Mary Geoise shenanigans
The Sun returning to Elbaph and bringing a new morning
Whatever "The Sun" is will come to Elbaph in the future (probably very near) and will cause a great rebirth. I expect this "Sun" to be JoyBoy related. I predict Vegapunk's cutoff would be something along the lines of this had he gotten what he wanted to say out:
"For those of you that bear the D. within you there is a power known as the Sun"
-And then the Harley said Man killed the Sun and became god. It'd make sense if they were referring to the power within people who bear the D. in their name.
-Also I just think theres no room for doubt if we assume Joy Boy unlocked the true power within the D. label and it died with him once he was defeated in the 2nd world.Or it could just be the power of the awakened Nika fruit making its way to Elbaph
oh yeah it was that one
Hey, I just had a random theory popping into my head.
What if, while the Straw Hats (+ Gaban) fight the God's Knights and the Giant Warrior Pirates deal with the MMAs, Loki fights against the Giants that are trying to burn the school and the Library?
Loki has no problem at all with being the villain of the story, so him pretty much stopping the habitants of Elbaph from burning all the knowledge in order to save the children, kind of fits him. He says that he's doing it because he holds a grudge against everyone that imprisoned and persecuted him (which can be partly true), but in reality he is doing this so that Luffy and co. fend off the main enemies.
I could see that but it would be a shame to see loki holding back
So I was watching a Mr morj video abt the new Rayleigh feat and he discussed the possibility of lingering haki being the counter to regen. Being able to damage ur opponent then impart haki so that the regen just doesn’t work.
This is tied into black blades by saying that coating ur blade with lingering haki is what makes them black, and effectively hard as diamond. Since it’s basically saying that the sword has perma armament haki around it.
Based on this logic I actually am starting to agree with ur statement bc black blades having lingering haki could damage regen permanently, which is why oda also got rid of zoros black blade and gave him Enma instead so that he’d learn to blacken his blade and damage regen
If it were solely the black blade's doing, Buggy would have been dead in Marineford
Hardening, Morj already had that video made so he couldn't go in and edit stuff, I also mentioned arrow head and bullet but he didn't think of it at the time of making the video.
Black blade is material that's harderning through haki infusion forging, don't get it confused with black haki armament coating. The blade is just black in color because it's hardened.
Also yeah Oden forged Enma for sometime, but it's not completely hardnened into a blackblade yet, so Zoro will have to continue forging it with the new technique he's about to learn with Scopper. I don't see us leaving Elbaph withou Scopper giving Luffy and Zoro a few pointers, given he was about to fight both at the same time.
and Monet with Shusui
Maybe that could showcase that Buggy has latent Observation Haki, that he uses subconsciously as part of his Devil Fruit powers.
Maybe, given his df fruit was made to avoid being cut specifically
That would tie to my theoru of df fruits being bruteforced passive haki activation.
This all could very well tie to inherited will as well, and how Ace might be alive through Sabo as Sabo said he could feel Ace's will(haki?) in the Mera Mera fruit.
If Logia really can't store previous user's will, then the Mera Mera would consequently HAVE to be a mythical zoan
it could just be like sabo wanting to feel ace in the devil fruit somthing along the lines of the placebo effect
With how he mastered it half a second after eating it when ppl are supposed to train to get good with it, and how Oda has a tendency to hide things in plain sight?
I'm not so sure.
Ace used to be called to Sun Emperor or something, and now Sabo is called the same.
Clearly they've both awakened the fruit.
What if the Mera Mera No Mi is secretly the Nika Sun God fruit model Destruction and Luffy has the Nika fruit model Sun God of Freedom?
We now know there are multiple Nika
I dont think there would be multiple nika df. There is only one nika and thats luffy's fruit. That is one god fruit out of the four.
Ace was called Fire Fist
And the are not awakened
agree. i think there is only one nika. but there might be multiple "sun god" devil fruit with different model other than nika.
We don’t know there are multiple nika. All we know is that giants have different interpretations of their “bible” and different people have different expectations for nika. Some are scared of him and imagine him as evil and others as good. Saying there are multiple Nikas or fruit models is a huge leap from what we know, I don’t get how so many people are so sure about it being like that.
Eh, fair point but I'm confident in my stance
I think it’s pretty straight forward if we use vegapunks theory and also the first world as our basis. So we know that devil fruits can come into this world with enough belief or enough people wishing for the power to come to reality in some way shape or form. That’s how Nika originally came into this world in the first world and it seems like that’s how the rest of the devil fruits that we know today came into the picture (likely in the second world). So with that, it’s not a stretch at all to say that another version of Nika has came into reality and become a devil fruit. Oda has told us that the idea of nika being a happy going foolish warrior that brings smiles and liberation to the struggling is not common knowledge and is not something that everybody really agrees on, as we seen the giants having a heated debate on it, mind you Nika is the god that the giants have worshipped for many centuries yet they can’t come to a clear conclusion on WHO Nika is/was. This leaves room for the possibility for the other interpretation of Nika that is a “destroyer” to become a devil fruit, because we can assume that there were people around the world that have bought into this interpretation of nika and had wished for his existence, (i’m like 99% certain the majority of those who wished for the destruction of the world or wanted to take it over entirely also bought into this idea of destroyer nika and wanted to become just like him), so this should be more than enough to have this interpretation come into existence, the same way other people believed in the laughing warrior who brought smiles and wished to be him, so that they can bring a new dawn to the world.
Both perveted too in a way, and the ice powers too, feel like it's all connected

We know there are multiple Nika
I don’t know seems like a big stretch. If that was the case we would have heard the 5 Elders mention it by now.
Who’s-Who was sent on a special mission to secure the “Gomu Gomu no Mi”. So based on that if the Mera Mera was also secretly a mythical df we would have seen a greater presence from CP0 in Dressrosa.
That being said I can totally see Loki’s DF being related to Nika in some way shape or form.
When people say "multiple nika" i think its meant that there are multiple interpretations of nika that have grown throughout the centuries
There the multiple interpretations, but also if we look at the Harley texts.
There are both Sun God of the first world and the Sun of the second world.
In the third world, the Sun God is mentionned again.
In the first world the Sun God appears.
In the second world, the Sun got killed.
Not Sun God, the Sun.
In the third world, The Sun God already there and needs to remember.
If its not directly the Nika fruit, it has to be extremely similar or very closely related. People could dream of both being Nika as one other commenter supported: The Giants' opinions split in half about Nika being a savior or destroyer.
If Luffy has the Nika fruit and the Mera Mera is the Sun, then maybe its because of the giants splitting dreams in half or doubling them.
Maybe we'll only see a truly complete Nika if Luffy eats The Sun or teams up with it.
Maybe there are even more!
We know Bonney can change into Nika form.
We don't know for sure that Loki didn't eat a variant of the Nika fruit. Quite possible.
Either way, there's a lot going on and I think its more of a stretch at this point to say there isn't than to say there is.
Yeah I made a sheet on how related and similarly connotated the two are. Imo, it's just too well built out for it to be false or a coincidence
I had this Theory about the Harley Text regarding the Sun returning to Elbaph which is basically confirmed and bringing a new morning according to the Harley:
It could make sense in different way still tied to the Mera as well:
Sabo being on the move and hitting Elbaph would be a way to save the situation given its descent into madness and chaos and destruction.
Sabo must also convey to Luffy and Vivi that they are of the D. clan, and that would certainly trigger something otherwise it wouldn't have been mentionned.
Its probably also no coincidence that Luffy, as a child, allowed Sabo to use the D. name initials and that S.A.L were/are brothers.
Something is cooking for sure, and its gonna be delicious!
Also: Trafalgar D Water Law.
If not Sabo, then for the simple reason of being a D and the reawakening of the will or the Sun, Law would have to reach Elbaph too.
Its not too far from where he was defeated too.
It might be time for good ol D reunion
I personally don't think Sabo's fruit is as related to Nika's fruit as Bonney's or Loki's personally just because of how the government didn't care about the fruit's location after Ace's death and I feel like the only thing that makes the flame fruit feel like something on the level of or related to Nika is the people who wield it because of how saught after both Sabo and Ace were
But I think it would be interesting to see the flame fruit in more and more inspection as the story goes on and I wouldn't really be mad if it were intertwined with the likeness and abilities of Nika anyways
Maybe the world government doesn't know about possible duplicates or variations
Yeah they likely don't because of how suprised they were to see Bonney as Nika too
I've been thinking (like others) that Urouge is almost certainly going to show up in Elbaf in the heaven realm but I couldn't think of what connection he'd have until now: what if the Birkans were the "Valkyries" of Elbaf and Birkans would carry up fallen Giants up to the heaven realm
What adds fuel to this theory is Urouge being described as an incredibly attractive being and the Valkyries are described as "lovers" to warriors
TL;DR: Fujitora is going to take Sentomaru in as a subordinate
I think that Fujitora is gonna encounter Sentomaru at some point, then pardon him as well as bringing him along with him in a sort of subordinate position. Reasons why they seem like a good fit:
- They both betrayed orders from their superiors, and both did it for honorable reasons
- Fujitora was hyping up the Seraphim, and Sentomaru has the highest authority to them aside from the elders and VP (who they think are dead). Plus Fujitora probably doesnt have a chip because…
- …Fujitora isnt allowed on any marine bases, so as long as his own men dont mutiny, there won't be any marines there to arrest Sentomaru
cherry on top: Japanese aesthetic (sumo wrestler and blind swordsman)
It may be a play on the trope of Zatoichi ”adopting” children along his journey for justice, pretty nifty theory~
thank yooou
@little mantle this question fits more into #manga or #also-manga
Lowkey have a theory gunko is imus human form
wanna elaborate?
Well she is the only one besides the gorosei to have the abillity of making those pentagram teleporters. Their pentagrams have a number for each gorosei while her pentagram doesnt have a number. She can regenerate just like the gorosei and also says that she fears joyboy. This is a weak theory but i just thought about it a little bit. And if i recall only her role is still a mystery, We havent been exactly told she is a holy knight
Also her arrows look pretty similar to imus arrows.... but lowkey i dont even buy into this myself lmaoo.
Yeah but her having earthly connections to something as simple as brooks music kinda throws this off for me
Id like to think that gunko is just a newly introduced character. She may not be a full blooded celestial dragon like sommers and killingham but she can still be a holy knight.
Ever since egghead there as been a massive influx of "x character is secretly y character" or "x character is a clone of y character" theories. It makes sense in some cases but when everyone jsut says everyone is a clone or someone is actually secretly this person because x y z it gets boring to read everyday in my opinion.
what if shanks and shamrock has a mother from the D clan, the way i see it is that shanks embraced his D clan side while shamrok embraced his celestial dragon side
@dusky acorn
I wanted to ask, do you have any theories as to why Killer’s left arm is so strange? Unfortunately in pre time skip he wore long sleeves so we can’t see, but it’s always been odd from when we could. Was it just something he got from Kaido? It looks like a burn scar to me, but surely Killer of all people wouldn’t be the man marked by flames
True, her full name was hidden so it might be something more important in the future
I've never given a comprehensive theory on Killer's scar, but I'm willing to write one now that you prompted it.
Although the anime tends to simplify the scar and makes it look unclear as veins, upon analysing it thoroughly with the digitally coloured manga as well as Oda's official colourings of Killer, it's indeed a burn-scar. It's always tinted pinkish / red in such drawings.
There are a few possibilities timeline-wise for when this scar by Killer could have been acquired:
- As a child?
This would be the most interesting option for me personally, as this means it would then tie in to a backstory of Kid and Killer.
I have a few contexts I can put this in, starting with:
While Killer himself wouldn't be the man marked by flames, what if Killer got his burn scar during the same fiery scene or conflict that the actual burn scar man who now has a ponegliff did? Now there's an interesting backstory that could tie Kid into this mysterious man he mentioned to be hunting down. Even down to a more personal stance, after figuring out whoever his identity was all along--someone that actually has history with Kid and Killer, who is also marked by fire.
Another theory I have is a backstory tied into slavery. Killer's main two hobbies are performing music and cooking. With these skillsets, he could feasibly be imagined as offered at an auction shop at their lawless home-island during youth.
Thus, the scar would have been recieved as punishment by whichever master he had at the time, or he could have even been tortured just for sport.
I believe Killer's time as "Kamazo" which was effectively a mere puppet for Orochi could be helping to set up a backstory such as this.
This would also explain why Kid had a side-comment at the Sabaody auction house about being willing to free a slave.-- Kid would already have precendence for doing so before.
So, maybe Kid freeing Killer could be how their close friendship originally began?
Burn scar incorporated here or not, I think an enslaved context by Killer to have suffered is reasonable as a standalone theory too. Especially since Kid meeting and freeing him in such an emotional context would give an explanation as to why they were so friendly with each other, upon being rivalling gang leaders. Unlike Heat and Wire, who were purely enemy leaders at the time.
- Two years ago?
This is the most unlikely scenario in my opinion, but basically he would have gotten the scar from some arbitrary foe in Paradise or something.
Even though Killer never showed his arm pre-timeskip and wore a long-sleeved dress shirt, I think that's precisely why he wouldn't have been recently scarred during his voyage as a pirate. If there was a scar to show off at this time, Oda would have just made him wear a t-shirt to show it off to begin with.
- During the time-skip?
This is actually the most likely hypothesis for Killer's acquired scar, timeline wise. It would make sense if the scar is recent, since he's only now showing it off finally. I believe both Kid and Killer's post-timeskip designs are meant to parallel each other, permanent injuries on both their left arms, however bigger and buffer as well, showcasing growth through hardship and defeat.
The best theory for this timeline is of course the original Red Hair fight. Just like how Killer tried protecting Kid from Shanks Divine Departure and got caught in the crossfire, I believe Killer tried doing the same against Benn Beckman. Kid got the brunt of the attack, but Killer and his arm would have got caught and burnt in the explosion by Beckman's gunshot.
It can't have been from Kaido like you suggested by the way, as he had the scar ever since viewing Punk Hazard's broadcast, before Kaido plumetted on their hideout.
Pardon the wait, I appreciate you for reaching out on my theoretical expertise! 🙏
the seraphim were created as cloned child versions of the 7 warlords, but a specific set of 7 were chosen. along with the lunarian race being added to all 7, 4 of them are buccaneer, fishman, kuja, and celestial dragon. with 4 of them being either a special race or lineage, there must be a reason for the other 3 to have been cloned in particular, especially if they were chosen over teach (who we know already to be special in one way or another). we all know that mihawk has something going on with him, but this somewhat narrows it down a little. as for crocodile and moria, they currently have relevence in the story (one being on cross guild and the other making his escape)
basically, I just think there’s reason as to why those specific warlords were chosen to be cloned and made seraphim
Is Bonney a descendent of Joyboy? Not because of her being joygirl, but the bucaneers having direct ties to joyboy and being half giant and joyboy being a giant? I feel like her being joygirl adds more importance to her gaining those powers as well. I haven't read much into all of the lore behind all of this but I think it makes sense. It would also explain why St. Saturn was so committed to making Kuma a slave because the hate towards them seems so trivial for a person of St. Saturns importance.
Are there any going theories on what Harold’s relationship was with the holy knights?
I think after the current elbaf situation wraps up the strawhats are gonna stay there for several months for loki to heal up and after he heals up the red hair pirates are gonna arrive to see loki chilling with them
Average 10/10 Shimon theory
Cook again
bro the strawhats have been sailing for a total of like 3 months combined.
Luffy is showing interest in loki i dont think its that farfetched (the staying at elbaf part)
Either that or loki recovers quicker than expected which could be possible
There will probably be the obligatory celebration party at the end of the arc but the strawhats never stick around that long. They are on a journey not a leisure cruise. Also relative to the story 3 months is a massive amount of time. So much shit happened in just a week from the end of wano to egghead and then to elbaph and that was like within a week from them leaving wano.

Is it odas oficial colourings? I always heard those were as good as fan colors, but some people take them as canon.
The two images for my theoretical analysis on the scar of Killer were specifically ones I cherry picked knowing they were drawn and coloured by Oda himself. The first image is from the Worst Gen colourspread drawn soon after the time-skip to commemorate the new gen and their survival in the New World I suppose, and the second was another colourspread by Oda celebrating high ranked characters from the popularity poll, 4 years ago.
I do agree that the actual coloured manga chapters can't always be trusted to base analysis & theories on. Take the Twin Cape cover-story that gave Shiki's color-set to Gaban, for example.
Gunko, Uta, and Imu's demonic form
Bit of a rushjob since today is spoilers day and you never know what might be said. I want to quickly go over how Gunko parallels Uta from Film Red, and how this might foreshadow the next events of the story, as well as WHAT I think Imu is.
For starters, Gunko is suspicious. She's a Gods Knight but not called a Saint, yet doesnt seem to be someone important/strong enough to have been promoted to godhood like Loki could've. Her arrows are reminiscent of Imus attack on Cobra. Her heterochromia in the eyes is an odd design choice.
This has led many to believe she may be some vessel for Imu, or that SOMETHING is being hidden with her. As of right now, let's run with that.
Moving on to Uta and Gunko. Gunko was introduced alongside Shamrock, as his sidekick, appearing akin to Shanks and Uta, made more apparent by Gunko's hair covering one eye in her reveal. Her multicoloured eyes also might go with Uta's two-toned hair. Both also have a fondness for music, as we later find out.
Later in Film Red, Uta essentially kidnaps her audience into a dream world, paralleling the nightmare world created by the Gods Knights on Elbaf.
She then summons Tot Musica, a demon king, with her appearance matching that of Imu with her tall crown.
Oda has said that the concept of a 'demon king' , whilst seen first in Film Red, also exists within the canon world. After seeing the Gorosei's demonic transformations, and Imu's own being foreshadowed, one can draw a connection between Tot Musica and Imu through Gunko and Uta, and suggest that perhaps, on Elbaf, Imu will be summoned to battle as well through Gunko.
(1/2)
As for WHAT Imu is... I believe the answer is, Tiamat.
Tiamat is the primordial chaos, an entity representing an 'abyss' or 'void', both terms highly linked to Imu through the Void Century and Abyss which their subordinates travel through.
It was Tehom (another name for Tiamat), who opened the flood of Noah's ark, with Imu also having presumably flooded the world prior and intending to do so again.
Tiamat also appears in media as this draconic figure. Imu exists as the king of the celestial DRAGONS, a group also obsessed with typical European dragons to the point they demanded Vegapunk revive them from extinction, and from what little we saw of his form, he somewhat resembles the shape of one. In Dungeons and Dragons, an iconic piece of pop culture which COULD have inspired Oda, Tiamat is depicted with 5 heads, much like how they have 5 Elders following them.
Another god whose origin is the same as Tiamat's is names Ym, which also itself sounds very similar to Im/Imu. Ym is said to wield the power of the sea or 'depths', furthering the connections to the flood, the abyss, and existing ideas connecting Imu to the god of the sea in One Piece.
Tiamat is a goddess, a female. If we can rely on the idea of Gunko's connection to Imu, as well as their apparent obsession with Lili and Vivi, women are a central part of Imus character, even if they were implied to be a man originally, so being linked to a goddess of chaos and the void can still work.
Overall, I think at the very least, Imu has been INSPIRED by Tiamat, even if not literally being her or having her name. Oda could make Imus form an original demon, or just 'the devil', but I think the idea of the void, an abyssal dragon god, definitely would've reached Oda somehow when designing this character, and I think people should watch out for further parallels between the two.

Something like that. Also just a theory and still not confirmed.
If this is a theory, do you have any in-story evidence/reasoning to support anything you just stated? In this channel we expect to see someone make a premise and explain why it makes sense through evidence/reasoning. From what I can tell, this seems like a shot in the dark
Idk just a guess
I guess we have to find out

**Three people i think could be the man marked by Flames **
Rocks D Xebec
I have a strong feeling that the "Lurking Legend" and "The Man with the Burn Marks" may be one and the same: None other than Rocks D. Xebec himself who somehow survived God Valley (got majorly injured and severely weakened though and given the Way Lulusia was erased (which was most definitely was used on God Valley as well), could very well have left him with such immense Burnings) and somehow took the Final Road Poneglyph (which was declared as "being lost") with him and was never found out since he somehow was able to disappear from the Eyes of the WG and Marines (like Zunesha). We also never hear anyone explicitly and specificly stating that Rocks is dead or was killed.
Masked Deuce (Friend of Ace who was on the island where Ace found his devil fruit (Mera Mera No mi)
What if Man with burn scar is Masked Deuce first mate of Ace's pirate crew ? This character was introduced in the One piece novel Ace's story. In this story these two trapped in an island. And here were from Ace got his flame flame fruit. Ace and Deuce were hungry. So they split into half. Ace took the first bite so he got the ability. Another thing is the island where they found the flame flame fruit is surrounded by Whirlpools.
Somebody on Elbaf
After the strawhats, Kidd Pirates and the Heart pirates defeat Kaido and Big Mom, When they're all going their separate ways, and they start discussing the man with the burn scar, Kidd specifically picked elbaf of all places to go to, Kidd also seems to know a little about this Man marked by Flames, What if him specifically picking elbaf is a hint that the Man marked by flames is on elbaf? This can probably be debunked, but i just don't see why kidd would wanna go to elbaf specifically after hearing and knowing about the Man marked by flames.
The man marked by flames most likely came from the first or second world because and I think it’s because he has the time fruit or toki used it on them before she traveled to the future. We don’t know how the time time fruit works with devil fruit reincarnation, and we don’t exactly know what time period toki is from maybe she was from the first world and when she died, her fruit reincarnated back into the first world and a new user was able to escape like her before the destruction of the first world (or she simply sent them forward but I like the first one more) this also would explain why they’re so elusive and no information that people that aren’t from the first world or second world, wouldn’t know
That would make it possible for a lot of time travelers to coexist in the future. Even worse, it would imply history-altering type of time travel. For example if current user is man marked by flames and he dies in the present, the fruit reappears at first world and now there is a time traveler that can go to for example pre time skip era and change history, and so on and so forth. The most logical and non issue way for it to work would be for the fruit to reincarnate at the time where the user dies. For example the fruit would reincarnate at the year toki died at.
Maybe the man marked by flames isnt even a man. At this point it could also be an older toki, with burnscares who looks like a man. Its possible she didnt time travel after sending momo and survived the fire. And i guess she could have a clue where the last roadponeglyph is, cause she travelled with rogers crew.
Why would it even be toki, it doesn’t even make sense for her to play that role, anyone else from Roger’s crew would fit better

So a theory, it's said that Imus devil fruit involves controlling water. Is it possible they're the reason Devil Fruit Users sink? If they can go as far as controlling water levels to the point of flooding the planet, is it that far fetched to think they're the reason Devil Fruit Users sink? Maybe to weed out people who can defeat them like Luffy for example and put Devil Fruits back into the fold to use in the Marines. It would be pretty awesome seeing Luffy find himself in water after defeating Imu and all of a sudden realizes he can swim.
you seem to be a bit mistaken
imu is not confirmed to have a devil fruit, let alone a water based one
imu flooded the world by using weapons, probably ancient weapons (including very likely uranus to destroy lulusia)
Wasn't it stated that joy boy was the one to start the flood?
no, just that the war did
Possibly cuz "Imu" backwards is "Umi" meaning sea or ocean in Japanese
The abyss is another reference to Imu as well
There's evidence that shows he was likely the reason Wano country is the way it is. Pulling the ground up to form walls to save it but inadvertently causing the land to flood with rain water like a bucket across hundreds of years. In the same way he stretched Zunesha, I think he potentially even created the Bucaneers if that is the case with Zunesha.
“1150” can read as “ii-go” (いい号, “good authority/mighty call”) in Japanese goroawase and matches Strong’s Greek #1150 damazō = “to tame”, subtly hinting at Imu subduing a vessel. taken together, ts suggest chapter 1150 will unmask Imu inside a puppeteered Gunko—while displaying a “taming” power that parallels Joy Boy’s liberating one.

Its a Small theory But i Think Brooks Eyes Are important
From the Possible Gunko Connection with the "yohoho" and the Afro we can Assume brook is important to the story of Gunko heres my Big Thing though, What do brooks eyes look like?
In the Flashback we only see brook with Black Glasses and he never removes them, by the time he is a skeleton he Doesn't even have eyes so theres no way of knowing. Even in Sbs where oda has shown glassessless characters before in the CHildren art brook still wears glasses and i believe its intentional theres SOmething with brooks eyes
2 Options for me
-
Heterochromia: Gunko has heterochromia, which is two different eye colors which could have lead to assumptions about the fatherhood
-
Ring eyes: Hawkeye Mihawk and Posessed Gunko Have these Hawk eyes With circles around the pupils Which could relate to the posession of gunko
Ok I'm so hung up on Imu refering to themselves as Mu.
I think Imu is telling us their power and what they can do.
Specially since it would match mythologies too.
The power of "nothingness" Imu has a power which is copiable to the concept of nothing and from nothing everything can be created, which would mean their power would be wildly unpredictable like Luffys but in a different way.
Gonna call it, Chopper will be the first animal that we see, who will awaken haki.
This will be a huge development for Chopper, step closer to becoming human.
He's got the intelligence from his devil fruit, but his transformation was nowhere near human, and we've noticed it.
With latest chater 1149, With Chopper focus, it gave me a reason to believe Chopper will be able to awaken his haki. Either through training or mid battle haki bloom.
I think vegapunk says joy boy uses the weapons and flooded the world
Theory for Imu's power and Holy Knights
The Holy Knights are the kids that were kidnapped, brainwashed, and trained to serve and protect CDs/Imu ideals. Like Mother Caramel selling kids to the Government.
Imu can claim a person, making them immortal by marking them and enabling them to be teleported.
Imu's Power is a Paramecia type, and an OP-OP fruit was used on him/her to get immortalized for his/her fruit used in full potential. Because every time he/she "claims" a person and that person dies, it will cost his life, so to avoid that, he/she needs to get immortalized and he can claim any person as many as he like. I.E. slaves.
The Celestial Dragon slave mark (dragon paw) is an imitation of Imus Mark.
She probably got kidnapped and sold to be brainwashed and trained to serve the CD as the Holy Knight.
p.s. i post it here since i cant post on reddit. moderators wont let me.
We are told at one point that Brook was the military head of a “certain kingdom in the West Blue” (sound familiar? Any certain kingdom in the West Blue that happens to be the single most important location lore-wise outside of the Grand Line?). I believe Brook was the military head of God Valley and Gunko was the princess (Brook would be the Pell/Igaram to Gunko’s Vivi). First, the panel of Gunko’s flashback where she’s screaming for her father is separated from the panel where Brook is telling her about his dream to become a pirate. I think they are separate moments. And Gunko looks older in the first panel than the one with Brook. Further, Colon screaming for his father only sparked her memory, and when she called for Brook before she got possessed by Imu she just called him “Brook,” not “Dad.” Further, it seemed that Brook was in disbelief about who Gunko was but I would imagine he would be a bit more certain about his own daughter than the daughter of the king he served over half a century ago (even if he was close to his family).
Brook is 90 years old and by 52 years ago, he left to be a member of the Rumbar Pirates. God Valley was 38 years ago. I believe she’s screaming out for her father, the King, who was killed by Garling during the manhunt. Brook likely has no knowledge of what happened to his former kingdom since his soul was isolated in the Florian Triangle for 50 years and God Valley was an unknown even to top-ranking Marines. For whatever reason Gunko was spared from the human hunt and was kidnapped by the CD, and somehow rose the ranks despite not being a CD herself (when we’re introduced to the Holy Knights, we meet SAINT Sommers and SAINT Qilingham but not SAINT Gunko, implying she isn’t a full CD). We still need to see why she got immortality, since Garling clearly aged since God Valley vs. Gunko who would be in her 50s or 60s. Colon screaming for his dad brought the memory up because she wishes Brook had still been there to protect them.
Here is my theory on how the One piece will end and how every straw hat will achieve their own dream.
Starting with the Monster Trio: Luffy's dream is to become the Pirate King, but we also know he has a hidden, deeper dream. I believe this secret dream is to unite all races and people on one shared land literally creating a world that is "One Piece." To do that, he would need to destroy the Red Line, which divides the seas and upholds the power of the World Government and the Celestial Dragons. After defeating Imu and the World Government, Luffy could accomplish both dreams at once.
Sanji’s dream, the All Blue a sea where all the oceans meet would also become reality once the Red Line is gone. With no physical barrier dividing the seas, the marine ecosystems could mix, making All Blue real.
Zoro, who dreams of becoming the world’s greatest swordsman, might have his final battle against Mihawk or maybe someone like Saint Figarland Garling (if he's a top swordsman too). But imagine if Zoro is the one to literally cut down the Red Line. That feat would prove he’s the strongest in the world and contribute directly to the creation of One Piece.
Jinbei dreams of peace between humans and fishmen. A united world with no separation by race or geography would fulfill his dream perfectly.
Nami wants to draw a map of the entire world. With the world no longer divided, she can finally chart the complete, true map of “One Piece.”
Brook dreams of reuniting with Laboon, who is stuck behind the Red Line at Reverse Mountain. Once it's destroyed, Brook and Laboon can finally meet again.
Usopp dreams of becoming a brave warrior of the sea. I believe he’ll get his moment by risking his life to save the world or someone important. He might nearly die, but Chopper whose dream is to cure any disease and become the best doctor in the world will save Usopp with a miracle cure, proving he’s achieved his own dream.
Bringing back my theory from a few days ago because its relevant and most probable for Gyaban being able to prevent regeneration and it not being able to kill immortals.
I doubt that Luffy thought about teaching his crew about Haki, explaining Chopper's reaction.
Alternately but less likely, Gyaban could have coated his blades with a type of poison and Chopper would be able to reproduce said poison if Gyaban tells him.
This guy stolen my theory I’m certain cause I’ve never seen anyone say this until I posted it a few days ago. The man marked by flames would have to have been sent forth by Toki, so he has no bearing to the fruit and its implications. The fruit was simply used to send an important figure forward in time and give some more depth to Toki’s character besides just mother of momo who used her clearly relevant fruit for only one thing.
im not caught up at all but my theory is that the one piece is some crazy weapon that can destroy the red wall thing so luffy can be the most free and sanji can find the all blue nami will map, idk
Gunko = Daughter of Calico Yorki Theory
Pre-estalished info
- Brook hailed from the West Blue as the leader of his kingdom's battle convoy.
- Gunko was present in the kingdom Brook served for. She also had a father from the same kingdom.
- The Rumbar Pirates, Yorki included, all hailed from the West Blue as well.
- Brook held a significant position within Rumbar Pirates. In Yorki's darkest time, he wanted an audience only with Brook, and was counting on him to take care of the rest of his crew as acting captain.
- This leads me to believe the Rumbar Pirates started in the West Blue between just Yorki and Brook. That's why Brook held such an esteemed position within the crew. This would also implicate that Yorki came from the same kingdom.
- If Gunko's father is to be a known character, then the only option for a significant character in regards to Brook is Yorki.
Yorki and Gunko Physical Similarities
- Spiky, light-coloured hair.
- In the tiny hint of Gunko's flashback, her dark coat is akin to Yorki's with both having high popped out collars.
Gunko's Regal Heritage
- Gunko refers to her father in a very formal manner, saying "Otou-sama" (お父さま) in Japanese. This is the same as Shirahoshi calling her father, for example.
- Gunko holds Brook's hand on a platform above him in height, potentially signifying hierachy between them. As if he was the knight to his dear princess.
- If Gunko is a princess, and Yorki is her father, then this would make Yorki the king of Brook's kingdom. This would explain why his good friend Brook was appointed to such a high position as leader of the battle convoy.
- Yorki introduces himself as saying he has a reputation in the West Blue. Could this also be alluding to his presence in Brook's kingdom as the noble Gunko's father?
Pirating Dream
-
I believe over the span of time Brook serving closely for Yorki and interacted with his daughter Gunko, Brook and Yorki both realized how happy kids like her in their kingdom were whenever Brook played music.
-
This led to the two collectively coming to the shared dream of becoming pirates, to share those smiles across the world. Gunko being a primary example of why the Rumbar Pirates had the motto of "making children smile", even the saddest ones. Perhaps Brook's music was the one thing that could get Yorki's stoic daughter Gunko to finally laugh and smile freely?
-
Just like Yorki realized Laboon grew attached to Brook via music, so did his daughter Gunko.
The Rumbar Pirates were originally only planning on 2-3 years of a voyage in the Grand Line. They would then return to the likes of Gunko and Laboon. So this wouldn't necessarily make Yorki a deadbeat dad. Hopefully..
Yorki's Fatherly Traits
Yorki has actually expressed traits showing experience with children and potentially having been a father himself.
- Knows when it's time to give little Laboon the silent treatment to prevent him from being spoiled.
- Mediates conflict between his crew-mates
- Maturely comforts and persuades Laboon to stay at Twin Cape.
Escaping the Grand Line
- I believe Yorki and his dozen other crew-mates that sailed the Calm Belt with the original ship actually successfully made it back to the West Blue after becoming ill.
- This matchups up to their fate being left in the air as a possibility, multiple times.
And just think about this, as some food for thought: If Yorki's return to his nation or possible survival was never meant to be delved on further, then why not have had him die regularly with the rest of the Rumbar Pirates at the Florian Triangle anyway? I believe splitting Yorki off for a plot-line like this is exactly the reason why, all along.
Putting Gunko's Flashback into Context
- However, Gunko was appalled to see her father barely return on death's door with his plagued illness. Hence the flashback of Gunko crying out at her father's poor condition. We know her father was the one in a terrible state of her flashback, because Gaban being gravely injured with Collun screaming out is what triggers this flashback, as if to parallel the situations.
And somehow, this situation then led to Gunko becoming a holy knight.
Crowned a Holy Knight
What if princess Gunko, upon reacting to her father in such an awful condition made some sort of deal with the World Governent? As this was the only way to save her father from his seemingly incurable illness, as the Rumbar doctor supposed. After all, it doesn't seem like the true Gunko did become a knight on positive terms. It cost her mind and memories. She was originally a good child, to the likes of Brook and her father-- the theorised Yorki.
Yorki's Fate...
Furthermore, this could mean that in other to save her father Yorki's illness via attaining immortality, he too had to succumb to the same fate as her-- brainwashing and forced to act as a holy knight. There appears to be a silhouette figure next to Shamrock and Gunko that resembles Yorki's silhouette.
- They both wear hats that resemble horns when shadowed
- Capes with protruding shoulder-blade areas, and
- Popped-out collars.
Perhaps the culmination of all this could be Brook reuniting with his former captain, just as he thought he did upon dreaming about them in Thriller Bark.
It'd also be ironic that Yorki once told his crew "To feel pain is to be alive", when he can't even feel physical pain himself anymore as a holy knight. The essence of this theory takes wildly unexpected turns, but this is the end result I've drawn to. I believe that both Gunko and her father Yorki have been made to serve as holy knights, unknowing of their own relation to one another.
@craggy pumice @cobalt igloo This is the ultimate form of the Yorki theory
YORKI THEORY LETS GOOOOOOOO
Great theory, definitely retconned in since there’s no way I’m believing Oda thought of Gunko back in thriller bark, but this was a really good read.
Thank you so much, Diesel! I also appreciate you omitting the messages yourself that unfortunately ended up taking place in between all of my madness. You're a real one 🤝
great theory gang🤧
No worries I thought it was disrespectful and was taking away from what you obviously put a lot of effort into over the last few hours lol
Okay its peak but actually different than what I thought. My take was that Brooks and Yorkis kingdom fell victim to the Celestial Dragons hunting games and they believed Gunko died, but she was taken in by Imu instead. Brook and Yorki got away with their lives and fell in depression only music could save them out of. So they swore to make other children happy with their music that Gunko liked, even if they couldnt save her. So the question whether Yorki is a deadbeat dad doesnt even have to be asked. I agree with Yorki being related to her, could be her older brother too for example and the "father" was to the king that died back then. I feel like either Yorki was a prince that left (like according to your theory) or a King whose country got destroyed like I said, so a fallen king that turned pirate. Because I dont feel like Yorki was a king that just left his country but idk. Maybe he was like Oden or make someone else take over (Gunko might have been too young). Your idea about Yorki making it back to the kingdom and thats what made Gunko AND Yorki become holy knights is interesting for sure. Imagine the plague they contracted was also from the WGs side like Bonneys Sapphire scales lol. All in all you cooked and I would want to happen it a similar way, Yorki and Gunko related for sure, and Brook was their jester-like knight servant
I really hope that Imu possessing Gunko doesn't mean that they are going to teleport the children and the God's Knights. We need at least a confrontation of the Monster Trio against them.
Quick time query/theory:
I’m concluding that the Gorosei and HK’s ‘immortality’ is most likely linked through the black summoning circle or at least tied to it, and that they aren’t just permanently immortal.
Also believe that the HK’s have only recently been granted the authority to be granted immortality, easily explained by Garling & Shamrocks aging. Rather I believe that the ‘never aging’ part is somewhat separate to the immortality. It’s clear that Gunko hasn’t aged much, but she’s also immortal unlike what I believe the other HKs to be.
My idea is that the regeneration is gained through the summoning circle. A YouTube video I watched said something about Moria’s shadows and how the same concept could work and be getting used by Imu, maybe Imu has the HKs souls, while only sending forth their shadow and a body through the summoning circle. It would explain why Garling most likely didn’t have regeneration abilities at God Valley, since they weren’t sent there via summoning circle, and he did age because he hadn’t yet made a ‘deal’ with Imu. The whole idea of Imu being a devil of some sort would imply some sort of deal going on, I just believe there is levels to the ‘deal’.
Why would the attack on the Holy Kingdom be so grave if they’ve still got 9 Knights & 5 Gorosei with permanently active immortality, doesn’t seem right to me.
Yeah, the part where I wound up thinking Yorki turned into a holy knight in order to have his exceedingly difficult illness cured is when I realised I was amping the theory up to 200%. 😅
Your idea actually makes most sense to me, from an imaginative atandpoint. However, I'm stubbornly headbutting at these panels from a very stern angle. I don't believe anything negative is happening to Gunko herself in the flashback, as I think her stranded memories that are knocking on the door of her mind are strictly meant to parallel Collun's situation. He realizes his dad falls into harm, which I'm trying to push is what Gunko of the distant past is reacting to-- noticing something very negative has happened to her father.
Which aligns with Yorki having caught a severe illness and tried returning to the West Blue.
Yeah, it's hard to say how he'd have left the country, but I was thinking he just appointed someone in charge of things after leaving. Seems reasonably possible with things like Kuma's Sorbet Kingdom and Wano for sure.
I think it's hard for someone to nail everything perfectly, but I do think some aspects of our theories will come true, and not all necessarily. Gunko and Yorki being related yes, maybe not Yorki being a HK, even Gunko being royalty doesn't have to be the case, but we'll see. I do think we're on the right track with a lot of this though
So the library is burning, do we think the knowledge will actually be gone? I got money that the owl is a contingency.
They can't TP the children as they are not marked so they can't go through whatever passage the God's knight take
Let's pray for that
I am also hoping, Saul's a smart guy he probably prepared.
Also, assuming that the giant villages are autonomous, WG might have screwed themselves by threatening kids
!theories just fyi, let’s move the discussions about the Holy Knights possibly escaping and the knowledge in the library burning to #manga-serious since they aren’t theories

Back in Impel Down, Luffy gave the armband he stole from thriller bark to Buggy. During that interaction it's mentioned that it was a map to Captain John's treasure. Captain John was a former member of the Rocks Pirates and he was present on God Valley. Could be that his treasure is one of the stolen prizes from the human hunt on God Valley.
I'm rereading One Piece right now and this page made me think about something. Considering the entire theories of how Luffy could be related to Rocks this "or his destiny..." could actually be pretty interesting foreshadowing. I might be onto absolutely nothing here and it meant nothing.
I first thought he meant Dragon because he was also born in the east blue so the mayor could potentially know about all this but considering how he's specifically going on about him becoming a pirate (and Dragon started as a marine and then became a revolutionary so he never was a pirate) this doesn't really seem like the case.
I'll add on to this because the more I think about it the more this one panel can mean. Destiny and dream can possibly have the same two meanings. Its his destiny to become a pirate and his destiny to become Joyboy. It is also his dream to become a pirate and his dream to be free (be Joyboy)
Both Joyboy and Luffy are pirates (his destiny) and both were heavily hinted at to share the same dream (his dream).
The will of the D could also be connected to this. The will of the D is having and trying to fulfill their dream & destiny. Gol D. Roger, Monkey D. Luffy, Joyboy (who all share the same dream and all have a D in their name) Clou D. Clover (who's dream was to uncover the mysteries of the world)
You could probably find a similar dream/destiny with all the carriers of "D"
Why are you saying whitebeard is a d
Oh wait he isn't, mb thats my mistake.
THIS IS A PREDICTION!!!! I predict that Imu will beat up all the strawhats including luffy. But just like in Logtown, Dragon will show up to back off luffy and the Revolutionaries will take the strawhats with them. (Dragon doesnt really have intention of really fighting imu. And acts like a decoy)
All blue theory : The all blue could actually not exist anymore due to the redline. I think the redline blocked the natural ecosystem that was the all blue. Aka middle of the redline.
What if all the 4 different sea could merge into one. All blue.
theory about imu's devil fruit : all we know about imu is that he is a creature that fire cant harm ( as we saw when sabo attacked him), but i think that imu's devil fruit is a form of a methodical creature named Umibōzu, (or umi the opposedor imu). this creature is a black- like human that matches with imu's look. he is a sea creature that sinks ships that come near him and creates whirlpools. if we look at imu's devil fruit form we can see it looks like a giant black - human form.
i wanna add on to this theory because i believe there is a connection with this and law’s backstory. I think Imu and co were behind the diseases that were killing both Law’s family and what got Yorki in the end. I’d even reach and say it was even what got Ginny and Bonney sick. I think it all boils down to Imu and the Gorosei’s doing. Law’s family were secret D members that needed to be wiped out, so they caused a pandemic in that kingdom and the excuse “they didn’t want the disease to reach anywhere else” so the world government killed Law’s family and the people living there. So it doesn’t come off suspicious. What im getting at is that Yorki might’ve been a D member as well. I believe Yorki’s kingdom worked with the WG for years but finally had enough. Wanting to do things on their own terms, which Imu knowing the consequences of a D member rebelling, decided to start a war which led to the kingdom’s fall and Gunko being taken by the Holy Knights as a young kid, Yorki and remaining members of his kingdom escaped and formed their own pirate crew against the world government. I can picture Yorki and Brook believing they lost Gunko during the battle, but it turned out not being the case. Yorki the remaining D member though ended up getting “sick” which i believe wasn’t actually because of some jungle sickness but more of Imu and co’s doing during the battle in the kingdom which the sickness eventually got to Yorki and he died with a smile on his face. Now the reason Gunko is being controlled is because Imu particularly likes to take ahold of D members which i believe he’s currently using Lily’s body currently but i feel there is a slow time limit and he will eventually be using Vivi’s and if he can. He might have an ability to only be able to possess D member that have royalty bloodlines. that part is a little far fetched and im not extremely sure on why imu is taking control of her.
Wonder if Imu can see far far into the future. Like that's why I'm decided to take over the child of Brooks former captain.
Don't think it's brooks kid cause she calls him brook, not father. So she is probably an old crew mates daughter
I think I have seen this one about 30 times already, but its def possible.
Oh ok
I don't think it would be farfetched that Shanks learned stuff in the Holy Land that related to their plans and that it made him want to quit it and return to the One Piece,
Dragon having been in the Marines also learning about things back then, probably from Shanks.
Maybe the order to take away or kill all mewborns started all the way back then and was too cruel for them to obey, so they rebeled and it made a Navy vs Revolution Coalition with traitors. It would make sense with Mihawk's title of Marine Hunter at some point too, probably around that time.
A good representation could be when Coby stood up to Akainu, except back then it would of been people standing up to Sengoku or whoever was in charge back then.
There's something with Fisher Tiger as well and the Sun Pirates.
God Valley might have been about which side wins to take control over the world, an internal conflict that happened due to external factors such as Joy Boy's prophetized return and the birth of the Revolutionary movement happening either slightly before or after the fight ended up tied.
I want to think that Shiki night have been involved too, and Rocks is still a massive mystery.
A few months ago, when shamrock was revealed, I pitched the idea here that shanks may just be a clone of shamrock. Now the Toei adaptation literally confirms it for me.
It is suspicious that he was found in a chest, as if a Sanji version 0
And we can draw a parallel with Nami here.
Nami'a situation might be the same as with Shanks & Shamrock but as Nami & Gunko.
There are too many mysteries concerning the circumstances of the crew's births or existence outside of Robin & Ace
how does toei confirm?
"Will you put wano on your back?" refers to keeping wano above flood level as well now that we know the world will flood/sink. Pretty clever Oda.
But u see the picture, of Brook holding hands with her and sing his song? And she remembered all of that in the moment, who was scream daddy. Absolutly Brook is her father.
Let's get it started
•We know that , Zunesha got a curse that he has to walk For eternity in the ocean.
•And in the latest chapter spoilers We got to that how Imu can take over Gunko's body. ..
Now this is where we start cooking this theory
•So what If Imu Sama Took over Zunesha's Body and Plot the way to JoyBoy's Defeat
•And everyone thought that he has betrayed him , But in reality He was getting used like a puppet.....
Definitely not her father. No way Oda is going to give us Bonney and Kuma & Gaban and Colon then also introduce another family dynamic. It’s too predictable and in this end part of the series if every story is just parent and child relationship I’d be quite disappointed. I’m sure Oda is cooking something more unique and deep than “Brook lost & forgot his daughter”
I heard a theory that she might be Brook's previous captain's daughter
Far more likely and unique as well. Imagine the feels as Brook is getting flashbacks to promises or moments he had with his captains daughter. To me that’s way more moving than just another standard father daughter relationship where the dad is a deadbeat and forgets his child’s existence
True
Does anyone here take into account the Gorosei’s official role I.e. warrior god of justice when thinking of their future involvement or matchups?? I am trying to find links but it’s quite difficult. The warrior god of science (Saturn/Garling) would seem to be a fit for Sanji or Franky, but that’s obviously not happening. Nusjuro is the god of finance so you’d imagine Nami could be involved, but it’s most likely going to be Zoros opponent.
Tbh the whole 5 elders and Imu thing reminds me of Gecko Moria and Thriller Bark 2.0.
Moria controlled people with his shadows and he had a team of a few ppl like Dr Hogback that could be interpreted as St Saturn, Nosjuro that could be the Ryuma, Perona was part of it, Lila and Absalom that I don't remember their roles, and whoever else could of been somewhat of a major figure.
Moria himself of course would be Imu.
The small penguins could rep the HK.
Lots of parallels
Yeah I’m assuming the Gorosei regeneration comes from the summoning circle, where their actual souls are still in the holy land where only their shadow was sent for the expedition, which is why they regenerate. I’m more certain of this after the latest chapter, where Sommers is not dead after being sliced in half. It seems like he’s a shadow of sorts that can’t reform because of the specific Haki used.
alright i was rushing with this one, imma describe it better now
Brook’s og captain was a king from a fallen kingdom and his daughter was Gunko. Brook said back in Thriller Bark that he was originally a leader of a battle convoy in a kingdom, that’s where i believe he got close with the king and princess of that kingdom. I believe the king (Yorki) was a D member that was working with the World Government as his kingdom did for centuries, but I think at a certain point Yorki decided he didn’t want to work with the world government anymore for understandable reasons, but Imu knowing that bloodline were D members, did not approve especially with when Imu had to face this before with Lily and her kingdom. So a war started between The Holy Knights and Yorki’s kingdom (this is why Brook was the first to identify the holy knights compared to the other strawhats in elbaf). The war led to the fall of the kingdom and most likely the loss of Gunko, Brook and Yorki most likely think she died(Brook calling her zombie lady when he recognized her at elbaf). The Holy Knights likely kidnapped and brainwashed into becoming a new soldier for them. Now the reason why Imu has took a major interest in her other than being a D member is hard to say. Id say an interesting theory is that Imu might be using Gunko’s body just in case she doesn’t get ahold of Vivi’s. That’s if the theory of Imu possessing Lily’s corpse is true and there being a possible time limit to that. I believe Yorki got struck from a disease that was man-made by the Gorosei, most likely Saturn due to him being the head of science (which i believe was also the cause of Ginny and Bonney’s sickness just to torture Kuma). Yorki most likely got hit with that disease during the battle with the holy knights and it eventually got to him a couple years later after becoming a captain and he died with a smile on his face which could very well indicate he’s a D member.
I think these man made diseases were what got key D members killed just like Roger, Rocks (Hiriluk), and probably the worst case of it being Law’s family and his country due to Law’s family being secretly D members
Now... what are the odds that Zoro unconsciously used the same infusion that Scopper uses, but doesn't know it yet.
Because he was given a match up to Lucci instead of having him fight at least one of the other Gorosei with the other strawhats.
Zoro only had like a little clash with Nusjuro by the end, but he didn't get a cut in for us to know if he will regenerate or not...
If Zoro comes into contact with one of the God's knight and he is able to manage to prevent them from regenerating, that would be dope.
Zoro learned haki before we know what it was, and Asura still arguable that it may have been Conqueror's infusion, but again doesn't know it.
That's why Oda doesn't make him use it again until he cuts Kaido.
Also Lucci still standing, reminiscent of Kaido still standing after Zoro cuts him with Conqueror's haki infusion without knowing it.
Since Zoro's speciality is Armament Haki, I expect he has already awakened this, but we see it first time against Lucci.
Maybe be reading into black lightning, but it does accompanied by ZZT sound effect both Jinbei panel and Zoro's in bold characters.
We can see a streak of black lightning lingering on Lucci's chest after Zoro cuts him, similar to when Scopper cuts Sommers.
I'm keeping an eye on you Oda.
I'm not sure if other people have made this theory or to what degree but I think Gunko was the former princess of Brook's island and Brook was the Pell or protector of her as the leader of his convoy or king's army
The holy knights wouldn't accept anyone that wasn't already nobility of some kind, it's very likely why Loki was made the offer and why Gunko was especially offended when he refused. Brook may have been a fatherly figure to her but he's almost certainly not her actual father
It could also be that Gunko and Loki have very similar backstories. The Giants are predisposed to hating Loki and us, the readers, are made to hate Gunko but this chapter makes us stop and reconsider what we think of her
But if the celestial dragons organized a human hunt on where Brook's island was, I could see them executing the king and queen to assume control of it and it would explain why Brook's especially averse to cruelty
What if Imu LIVES in Gunko? We all saw that Cobra was killed by an Arrow, which is Gunko`s Fruit, not a gift from Imu like Yokai beasts, but Gunko wasnt there... or was she, but with Imu in long last posession, living. + Gunko has heterochromia
The previous user of Ope-Ope no Mi was a (Vivi-pastpast)queen alabasta from 800 years ago, she used immortality from that fruit to save Imu, but now he is full of angry because of that because he loved her.
It's mostly the differing hair colors
The mark of cestial dragons branded on slaves be marks similar to that of The Abyss, allowing Imu to do whatever they want to thoae lives and slaves.
We saw Imu take away an Elder's life, maybe Imu also absorbs the lifespan of those they consume and are therefore immortal partly thanks to this.
A variation of that mark could also be why Imu can possess Gunko and grant HK + Gorosei pseudo-immortality.
Like maybe when they take fatal damage, a branded slave vanishes and dies to extend their lives and recover from the damages.
In a similar way, Imu would have access to all DF powers of the branded slaves explaining Imu's use of what we suspect were Gunko's abilities.
This bring me to a different topic as well: Haki could dispell the mark of the abyss' effects when Emmett unleashed JoyBoy's haki, so this could be devil-power related or it could be haki related.
Leading me to this: A similar system might be in place for other brandings such as the Sun Pirates being branded with a sun dispelling the Abyss variation access and instead creating a comnection to JoyBoy or Nika or the Sun(God?).
This means branded crewmates could possibly use the blessing of the Sun or the blessing of gods or something, the inherent legacy of D.AWN being not a lineage but a promise and a bond and an oath, people that lead a fulfilling as opposed to that of the Abyss that are devoid of ambition and dreams.
Oh uh detail and example I forgot for D.AWN: Luffy and Ace allowing Sabo to use the D. Initial when trading sake cups with him as children
-we saw a flashback of loki asking rocks d xebec if he could join the crew
-colon is only a child and he is 20 years old
-rocks d xebec died 38 years ago at god valley
-that means 38+ years have passed since loki was a kid, yet he is already a full grown adult while colon lived for 20 years and he's still a kid
the math doesn't add up, does this mean the time dilation theory is confirmed?
Loki is almost double Colon's age, its like comparing a 9 y-old to an 18 y-old
- Loki was born ~63 years ago
- Rocks pirates were created 44 years ago (Loki is 19 years old)
- Rocks died 38 years ago (Loki is 25 years old)
Meaning Loki had 6 years between 19 and 25 to meet Xebec.
Colun is 20 and Loki, when he met Xebec was around that age range and both Colun and Loki at that time look around the same age and have the same mentality
Luffy’s mom theory (serious) :
I beleive that Luffy’s mother is non other than the previous empress from amazon lily.. Toritoma. Which died from love sickness. So why this person exactly? We know that Kuma teleported luffy all the way to amazon lily. But why? I think he did that because he knew that this was where her mother met with dragon. However dragon had to leave in order to lead the revolutionary. Also, Kuma can only teleport people to places he has been. So he has been gone to amazon lily once. But i suppose he was with dragon at this time. And kuma couldve maybe supposed that the current empress would know about luffy.
This is toritoma btw. And you can clearly see some resemblance
I think that’s a good theory
I have a theory that another time skip will happen after Elbaf.
Luffy's mom is still a slave in Holy land I'm telling you, and Dragon was cool calm, while Kuma was desperate to save Ginny, not knowing Dragon was in pain having to hold himself back
Some people have been saying time moves differently on Elbaf whether that is slower/quicker but dunno how true that would be.
My only question with this is why Reyleigh and Scopper are the same age because if there was time manipulation I’d imagine one of them would be far older or younger than the other
1000+ times. It even gets brought up that the first whirlpool of the series could be related
Oh, i don't necessarily believe it. I was just saying that's what some peeps have said and i was relating your comment on a TS. There is something relating to being Elbaf too long from the intro chapter from that guy narrating or whatever.
Yeah I think it’s a good theory too because the story arc starts off in that ominous way
Another TS either need the world to pause as a whole and nothing really important to happen then it just goes straight to the end battles because we wouldn't have enough time to delve into all the worlds event during that TS. Another void mini period or something. There's always the time travel theory
Oh that’s interesting. Like our crew ages but the world around us does not so it’s a way for them to gain the upper hand?
So I was working on a personal project and realized something about certain devil fruits: Where the rest of the Cardinal beasts at?
Kaido Has Azure dragon of the East, and if he dead that's up for grabs again. And Gold Kirin of the Center belongs to Rimoshifu Killingham right now in the current arc. Marco has a Phoenix fruit, but is it the Vermillion bird of the South and he hasn't awakened it yet, or another separate fruit since his animal form is clearly blue? Going by the dragon fruits initial location in the God Valley incident, and Killingham using the Kirin fruit, I can conclude that there is a high likelihood of the Black Tortoise of the North & White Tiger of the West being in Possession of world nobles currently if not in use right now by God Knights we have yet to see.
Needless to say as someone who was looking into the cardinal beasts last spring, this intrigues me greatly.
Holy shit... Something is gonna go down at wano. If Kaido is dead, even then people still think he dead if he not. That means his devil fruit is up for grabs and most likely could spawn in wano. Forget that other pirates could try to get in looking for it, what if WG could be sending in other God's knights to claim it while all this other shit is going down at egghead and elbaf?! This could escalate so quick...
If Loki can create nightmares and ussop is scared he should go through a boot camp.
Not a popular opinion but they should have wrote ussop as the second hand instead of Sanji.
If ussop wasn’t written to be a coward and had Haki he would literally be the gun version of zoro.
i will be honest, this reads like "if Oda had written Usopp differently than he has intended to, he would be a different character"
Your right
like i get it, people want to see more from him and sometimes i wish he had more clear fights or matchups, but Usopp in the end is not unhumanly strong, but even though he isnt he made it through all the adventures alive and is still going, he already is a brave warrior of the sea, he himself just hasnt realised it yet
Then a theory I think based on ussop’s actual character is that Loki will make him as strong as Zoro.
A sword should be matched with a gun and a fearless leader should be matched with a fearful leader.
Also zoro being an eastern warrior would go well with ussop being a western type warrior.
Then finally I think if Loki can believe things into reality he could believe in ussop based on some leadership giant rallying ussop might do like he rallied luffy in water 7 vs rob luchi.
My theory might suck but I tried
Maybe Oda’s focusing on Brooke to maybe foreshadow that we’re about to see the REAL Soul King aka Imu, and that he/she/it can collect and manipulate multiple people’s souls
gunko theory: i was thinking about god knight aging and gunko not lining up (because garling aged but gunko seemingly didn't) and i thought maybe she could be a clone or something. she isn't called "saint" like the others and they kind of look down on her like when summers makes fun of her listening to new world and qilingham says to be nice, almost like she's a kid, and she does seem impulsive too. cloning an army was set up with germa it definitely wouldn't surprise me if imu had something like that, could be that a lot of the gods knights are just drones that can be made again if destroyed, and either the clones don't age or gunko has died and been cloned again. I think it would make sense to have more disposable holy knights since idk how many CDs would sign up for being a knight. and maybe imu only possesses the clones. the memories are still there, so maybe they just get repressed or mixed up with imus mind, like how gunko says she fears nika most, imu fears joyboy, also her name in japanese has something to do with army child, military girl, etc which could just be relating to brook/battle convoy but if her name was changed
@fiery path Appreciate the creative scriptwriting, but this channel’s strictly for theories. Feel free to share things like that in the manga channels (like #manga ) next time
Can I use leaks here if I use censors?
Unfortunately no, all theories from leaks must stay in the spoiler channels. This channel’s name starts with “1149” for a reason.
Once the chapter’s been posted in #announcements , then it’s fair game and you can share your theory here, no spoiler tags needed.
I don’t see a spoiler channel?
You need to get the spoiler roles in #role-menu and it’ll be visible for you. You can even bypass the need for a role and add it yourself by using id:customize as well. Here’s one of the spoiler channels: #spoilers
@little gale it’s an interesting idea, but this channel is for serious theories that have a basis in the story (ie not headcanon stuff). Please use #manga to share your ideas on potential df powers.
Please refrain from using manga-theories for joke theories, casual chit-chat, power scaling, bounty predictions or low-effort memes. This channel is for serious discussion- please read the channel description. Posts here must be in paragraph form, preferably with evidence, not just a one line open question.
if i post a theory here does it have to be relevant to 1149 or can it just be a theory like overall
Any theory prolly
It can be about anything in the story. As long as it doesn’t reference 1150 leaks it’s fair game. Just make sure you have some in-story evidence/reasoning and your good to go 👍
alr thanks, i had something written imma post it now
Luffy Poseidon Laboon and the Fall of Imu’s Red Line
So I think Luffy is gonna use Poseidon and the Sea Kings to break the Red Line from underneath. The Red Line is way too massive to just break from the top especially since Mariejois and the Celestial Dragons are on it (we see Mariejois chilling on the Red Line in chapter 908). But the real weak spot has to be at the base deep under the sea where no normal person can reach. And since Luffy has a Devil Fruit he can’t survive down there (Devil Fruit users can’t swim from the very first chapter). That’s where Shirahoshi aka Poseidon comes in (her power was revealed in the Fishman Island arc, chapters 612-616).
Her power to control the Sea Kings is perfect for this. The Sea Kings are huge ancient creatures that can go to the deepest parts of the ocean (Fishman Island Arc chapter 612 and also Wano chapter 955). If Luffy teams up with Shirahoshi they could bring down the Red Line from the bottom and connect all the seas. That would finally create the All Blue (which Sanji dreams of) and bring about the Dawn of the World (Joy Boy’s promise hinted at in chapter 967).
PART 2 in a sec
Now here’s where it gets interesting with Imu and the Void Century. I think the Red Line wasn’t just natural but created or made stronger during the Void Century (which the World Government erased from history in chapter 903). It was probably meant to split the seas and hide the Ancient Kingdom’s true story (the Ancient Kingdom is mentioned in chapter 967 as the “True History”). Imu sits on the Empty Throne at Mariejois on top of the Red Line so if the Red Line falls Imu’s whole system of control falls too (Imu’s throne shown in chapter 903).
This also explains why the World Government fears the Ancient Weapons. They aren’t just physical weapons but keys to breaking Imu’s system (Pluton, Poseidon and Uranus are the Ancient Weapons from chapter 967). Poseidon is one of those keys since she can control the Sea Kings who could break through the barriers from back then.
And here’s where Laboon fits in. Laboon is waiting near Reverse Mountain (chapter 1 and the cover story “Laboon’s Promise”) and his story is all about promises and waiting. Brooks old crew left him with a promise to return but never did (around chapter 487 I believe), symbolizing how uncovering the Void Century’s secrets and breaking the Red Line takes time and generations. Laboon represents the old world waiting for the change Luffy and Shirahoshi will bring. His location at the Grand Line’s entrance also ties him to the path to Laugh Tale.
Finally this explains why Roger said he was “too early” when he reached Laugh Tale (chapter 967). Poseidon wasn’t born yet so Roger couldn’t use the Sea Kings to destroy the Red Line. Now with Luffy and Shirahoshi the pieces are finally coming together to finish Joy Boy’s mission, reveal the Void Century’s truth and take down Imu’s control over the world.
So yeah I really think Luffy will team up with Poseidon and the Sea Kings to break the Red Line from below, bring the seas together and fulfill Joy Boy’s promise and finally free the world from Imu.
what do yo uguys think
Good theory what method is luffy gonna use to stay underwater like is he gon stay in a sea king mouth or sum
I think Luffy will try to break the Red Line from the top using his huge Gear 5 form or maybe even hit the side of the Red Line from his ship. Since obviously he cant go underwater thats where shirahoshi and the sea kings come in and try breaking it from the bottom as luffy tries from the top
unless they find some way for him to go down idk 🤣
i dont think gunko ever was a CD so it makes sense she wouldnt have saint in her name (and her last name isnt revealed as well unlike the others). Since she is related to brook in someway, i reckon she would either be a princess of brook's kingdom or literally a relative (maybe his niece) or smth like that. and since imu can take and give immortality, it would only make sense if gunko was given immortality AFTER she became a bit older because imu didnt want immortality to someone who wasnt completely brainwashed since the CDs are already compliant but gunko being a normal person was tortured and trained very harshly to make her into an obediant puppet
that huge guy from the bb pirates ate a fruit which gave him his size right? and he was standing on the water pretty easily when garp fought him so...
(idr exactly since it was a long time ago)
oh yea maybe luffy can make himself big enough to just stand in the water
yah
thats a good point nice
like just so that the water is like below his waist or knees
@fickle sky
This lowkey mad creative hopefully by the end game luffy can get rid of the stamina drawback of giganto luffy
what i sent is fine right
and also what do you think of it
It looks great, thanks for sharing! I haven’t read it too closely yet, but I’ll try to sit down and read it later today and give you my thoughts
alr bet thank you
Roger didnt promise laboon it was brook.
I think soo someone used the special power of the law's fruit on imu 800 years ago because when imu realizes its Joyboys Haki from that far so imu is the only one i think alive from the war of 800 years ago
And i think if it was imu observation haki to realize it from that far then where was this same haki when sabo was there until he showed himself he was there unnoticed
i feel like shanks crew will fight blackbeards crew before luffy or anyone else does
and its cuz they alr have a long standing rivalry and its gonna be the same order in the animes photo lineup (in marineford war) so like shanks and teach , van auger and yassop , shiriyu and beckman , catarina devon vs the guy w the monkey etc.
this is where shanks will either
succumb to his injuries and learn blackbeards past and his weird body and his ultimate plan, and this is where i think blackbeard will awaken his devil fruit and leave behind a clue for luffy + his sword griffen , as we now know that nika had a shield a sword(which could be supreme grade blades(does a shield count as a supreme grade shield??)).
but this is just a guess
and the other guess being
he fights his twin brother figarland shamrock and we learn about shanks past w the celestial dragons and the god valley incident and he reveals his past where he had come back to the holy land to figarland garling, which could lead to the reason of imu's garden and why the 4 photos were destroyed and maybe a imu face reveal 👀 ( the garden of eden) and the straw had in the fridge, (completely unrelated but i hope zoro gets firgarland shamrocks awakened cerberus sword to complete his hellish swords so he has enma(king of hell) , cerberus ( guard dog of hell) and possibly another sword??).
but yeah thats my theory
then another theory regarding how i feel the strawhats will get more powerful is
zoro learns to control enma and either gets all 3 kitetsu blades or gets the hell combo which is cerberus ( figarland shamrocks sword) , enma ( the king of hell) and one more unknown sword.
robin awakens her flower flower fruit and is able to create a garden of robin clones who can do pretty much everything robin can
sanji gets a white flame and with his genetic enhancements gets unparalleled speed
nami learns more about the knots from the sky wizards and now can use better cloud based attacks via zeus and knots
ussop gets thors hammer or eats the mythical fruit : thor , cuz sure ussop is a sniper but his weapon was also a hammer ( example he used it against perona)
franky along with vegapunk creates a super robot or smn that franky likes
chopper awakens his fruit and its something related to the forest I would say, which helps him with medicine
luffy learns more abt nikas powers ( prolly a full zoan form) and gets nikas artifacts (his sword and shield)
brook remembers his past as a warrior of a kingdom ( maybe hes a holy knight)
lastly jimbei , explores the old relics of the void century and learns some old fishman methods of combat that let him talk to sea beasts like poseidon or control larger portions of water for his attacks making a stronger fishman karate
Is this Demonization the reason Loki killed his Dad? Like Imu turned the former king into one?
Ok so this most recent chapter has me thinking
This is usopps brave warrior of the sea moment.
Let's look at our situation, we're dealing with a bunch of people being taking control of by a sadistic female (could still be a man but unlikely imo). Where have we seen this before? A little island called dressrosa
I believe that in the coming chapters usopp breaks free and through some method let's go of imus control, still probably keeping their new forms but getting their minds returned.
The giants will then realise that usopp was the one to help them out and boom, brave warrior of the sea
did u guys notice the name/symbol on that magic circle? it's say's Eris D. Tar maybe this have a connection on D clan also?
so Imu transformed Joyboy into a big straw hat
So this is a theory that I have been workshopping for the last 2 years, I had given up on it a bit after sharing some of it here in the pastand being told it wasn’t concise enough but have been inspired to fully commit to developing it after imus recent power reveal and the mural on elbaf. It’s very long like maybe 2-3 posts lol
my brave warrior of the sea moment is Usopp defeating Killingham because usopp always fears the most what's right in front of him and so people will see him face off against Killingham, no new monster appearing and everyone misreading it as "he has no fear" or some shit
THE TRUE HISTORY OF THE WORLD
A long time ago, the world was made up of several races living together: humans, giants, dwarves, merfolk, sky people who mostly kept to themselves, and the Shandians, who were exiled from the sky for their rituals and snake worship. There were also the buccaneers, a race that was part giant and part human, known for their strength and wild laughter.
During the time we now call the Void Century, there was a powerful civilization known as the Ancient Kingdom. It was a place full of freedom, innovation, and unity. The people there were dreamers, scientists and thinkers who wanted to help the world evolve. Their biggest breakthrough was something incredible: the Dream Fruits. This was the original name of the Devil Fruits, created using people’s actual dreams and turning them into powers that could change the body genetically and inheriting the fruits spirits.
The dream fruits were sparingly used by the ancient kingdom as they realized that although they believed people to be good, certain people could use them maliciously and safeguarded them on an island factory that would later be known as Raftel.
Among the people of that time were two friends from rival but respectful families: Joyboy, a kindhearted buccaneer who idolized the Sun God Nika, and Imu, a curious and ambitious princess from the Nerona family. Despite their families’ political tension, the two were close. They were the first to eat the Dream Fruits to mark the unity and shared path to peace for the world by the ancient kingdom of buccaneers and humans who had long waged war. Joyboy, inspired by Nika, got powers of joy, freedom, and imagination. Imu, drawn to old stories of fox spirits, ate the mythical Zoan fruit of the Nine-Tailed Fox, gaining powers of illusion and shapeshifting.
Convinced by Joyboy, Imu joined him on a journey around the world with a diverse crew made up of different races and backgrounds. They called themselves the Dreamers, and their goal was to unite the world and share freedom with the people. Even though Imu didn’t fully believe in Joyboy’s dream, she went along, partly because her father wanted her to stay close to the Ancient Kingdom’s growing influence, and partly because of her complicated feelings for Joyboy.
Traveling with them was Princess Lily, a noblewoman from a smaller allied kingdom. She was close friends with Imu with the two considering themselves to be sisters due to their families close ties and having to endure the lives of the dysfunctional noble families. Eventually, Lilly and Joyboy fell in love, something that deeply hurt Imu and planted seeds of jealousy.
As they traveled, the Dreamers focused on helping people in poorer lands that were ignored by the major kingdoms. They brought joy and laughter wherever they went even visiting the sky lands and Merpeople nations. But Imu, though inspired at first, grew more and more distant from his ideals seeing the way some of the people lived as revolting. Eventually, Imu and Lily returned home. Lily while sharing her feelings for Joyboy to Imu accidentally revealed sensitive information about the Ancient Kingdom’s technology and locations of some of their factories such as the location of the original mother flame trusting Imu too much.
That information ended up in the hands of the 20 kingdoms that had secretly been plotting with the Nerona family. They launched a surprise attack, using the ancient weapon Uranus which was powered by the mother flame that was stolen from one of the Ancient Kingdom labs to bomb the Ancient Kingdom’s factories led by none other than Imu herself in her first act as The Nerona family general which was often passed down to the strongest sibling of her family. The result was catastrophic. The explosion of the Ancient Kingdom labs caused massive changes to the world physically and genetically. Whole landmasses were destroyed or reshaped, new races emerged from mutations (such as the minks, Lunarians, longleg/longarm, fishmen, etc.) and the dream fruits scattered across the seas ending up in the hands of people using them for good or bad going against the Ancient Kingdoms original wishes. The buccaneers were nearly wiped out, now enslaved by the new rulers of the world, the 20 royal families who declared themselves divine and formed what we now know as the World Government.
Joyboy, devastated by the betrayal and destruction, confronted Imu. Though she wasn’t as strong a fighter like him, she used the awakened powers of her Nine-Tailed Fox form to hold her own. But in the end, Joyboy’s haki and experience overwhelmed her, and she was left mortally wounded.
Lying broken and alone, Imu turned to the only thing she had left, forbidden knowledge of the Void. She had secretly studied ancient magic during her travels, collecting rituals and legends that spoke of beings from the void. In her family’s hidden temple, buried beneath what would become Mary Geoise, she performed the “Ritual of the First Seal.”
Through it, she reached out to something dark. Not a god, but a demoness, a being known by many names across different cultures:
Tiamat, the Mother of Monsters, Lamashtu, the Devourer, Sheba, the Witch-Queen of Forbidden Wisdom. But in the old texts, she’s simply called: the Great Mother Below. Imu asked for power not just to survive, but to reshape the world. And the Great Mother answered.
In exchange, Imu gave up everything:
- Her humanity, becoming something no longer fully mortal. A demon queen.
- Her ability to die, cursed with immortality until the pact is broken
- A curse upon all Dream Fruit users, stripping their power in the sea (Tiamat’s domain)
- And her bond with Lily — the sister she once loved, now cut off forever
In return, she was given control of a dark artifact, the demonic codex named Necronomicon that gave her powers beyond her imagining. Imu could now grant others through demonic contracts enhancements of their devil fruits as well as intangible bodies (but not immortal, this how she controls the Gorosei and Gods Knights). Imu was also given a corrupted version of her fruit, a twisted Nine-Tailed Fox that wasn’t born from dreams, but nightmares and thus the new name of dream fruits became devil fruits. It gave her powers beyond illusion: she could warp reality itself, feed on fear, and manipulate memory. Her new form didn’t just live it thrived on despair. As long as the world feared her, she couldn’t truly die.
Imu came back stronger then ever and killed Joyboy. His fruit disappeared, hidden away by the last surviving buccaneers on Raftel, which was once an advanced, mobile factory of the Ancient Kingdom.
From that point on, Imu ruled in secret. The World Government was established, the Celestial Dragons, who were also impacted by the nuclear radiation were born and chose to move to the top of the highest remaining peak of the world on top of the redline needing as much natural air as possible and adorning suits that always filtered their air for extra protection (though not all were affected), and the truth of history was buried.
As the “Queen Behind the Curtain,” Imu took on a silent, shapeless role. The Five Elders became her mouthpieces, bound by blood contracts and promises of power. The ability to feed on fear, despair, and corrupted dreams, sustaining her immortality, she lives as long as the world fears her rule, even if they don’t know her name under the shackles of the World Government and Celestial Dragons.
“Let your throne be built not on stone, but on the minds of mortals.
So long as they dream of chains, you shall reign.”
The World Government’s true structure is based on occult symbolism and the manipulation of dreams and memory manipulation. Imu is not just trying to erase history, but to imprint her version of it on the world. She isn’t just hiding Joyboy’s story, she is actively rewriting it in real time, using her power to erase symbols and truth from the collective unconscious.
Her throne is a literal spiritual seal, beneath which Tiamat still sleeps, imprisoned in the abyss, but growing stronger the more the world forgets its true history. The “Empty Throne” is not a metaphor it is a prison, and Imu sits beside it, not upon it, ensuring no one draws too close to its truth. Imu’s greatest fear is not Luffy. It is that someone will unlock the full truth of the Void Century, which could break the spell of fear, and starve her of power.
I was under a similar thought process but it seems were going with the egghead effect of something bigger coming up every couple chapters (granted we can't get much bugger than this besides luffy showing up)
Killinghams nightmares are sure still a threat but let's face it they aren't anything special when you look at imu
Princess Lily, shattered by what she helped cause, tried to make amends. She left the World Government with members of her family and, with the help of the surviving crew of the Dreamers and buccaneers, created the Poneglyphs (ancient messages carved in indestructible stone that told the story of Joyboy and the real history as well as the location of Joyboys Nika fruit.) These were scattered across the world, placed in places Joyboy had once visited. That act became the foundation of the Will of D, a legacy passed down by members of the Dreamers who carry on his dream.
PREDICTION OF EVENTS TO COME:
Now, in the current timeline, Luffy and the Straw Hats travel to Elbaf. There, they discover more about Joyboy, Nika, and the truth of the Ancient Kingdom through ancient murals and giant folklore after fending off the God Knights, GunkMu and the Nightmare monsters with the help of Hajrudin Loki and some of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet who had been planning to rendezvous with Luffy on Elva’s following his new bounty and so called assassinstion of Vegapunk.
Meanwhile, Monkey D. Dragon senses weakness in the World Government. With one of the Five Elders defeated, he launches a massive attack against the World Government and their forces. In the chaos, he kills another Elder and exposes Imu’s existence to the world though people around the world are skeptical and reluctant to believe Dragon as news outlets report that Dragon is Luffys father and this is their plot to take over the world with the idea that Luffy killed Vegapunk as the first part of the plan. Ivankov is captured, and Imu steps forward for the first time in centuries. She declares she will personally execute Ivankov, live and broadcasted, to kill the revolutionary spirit.
When the news reaches Luffy, everything changes. Thanks to Robin’s ties to the revolution, Luffy finally meets his father. They unite, with Dragon trying to convince that the fight isn’t just about freedom anymore, it’s about ending an ancient curse and breaking the grip of fear that’s ruled the world for 800 years. But Luffy ignores all of this and in normal Luffy fashion opts to take matters into his own hands rather than following Dragons plan of another combined attack against the WG.
I think its more the mythbuilding in this case, Killingham's nightmares are very real and obvious and him failing to produce anything against Usopp is enough of a moment to really help elevate Usopp. If he also wins, damn
On the way to locations of island sightings of Raftel, Shanks and Blackbeard cross paths. They agree to stay out of each other’s way for now. Shanks hints that he knows that Blackbeard’s body is “unnatural” due to a failed demonic pact, which may explain his ability to hold more than one Devil Fruit. They both know the final war is coming. And not everyone is going to survive it.
As the story nears its end, the full truth about Devil Fruits is revealed: they’re not random at all. They were made by the Ancient Kingdom using technology that could turn people’s dreams into real, living abilities. That’s why every fruit is so uniqu each one is someone’s deepest desire made true.
In the last arc, Luffy will have to face Imu and possibly even the Great Mother Below herself before he can complete his dream of finding the One Piece. It won’t just be a fight, it’ll be a test of everything he stands for. He may have to enter the dream world itself, either through Vegapunk’s technology or some ancient ritual, to end Imu’s immortality and stop the nightmare from continuing. Luffy, the man who carries Joyboy’s will and the power of Nika, represents freedom and joy. Imu, the fallen dreamer, represents fear and control. Their final battle won’t just decide the fate of the world it’ll decide whether the people of the world will continue to live in mental chains of slavery or finally, truly be free fulfilling Joyboys wish.
Yea I can see that, I can see that but idk, I think a solid shot on imu taking them out of control might be a bit of a bigger feat
/end lmk what you think 😄 (if you could delete your messages that would be cool)
this is not a theory anymore u are writing ur own story now.
I’m still trying to come up with an idea of the 1st world depicted on the 1st half of Elbaf mural but honestly the story is so focused on the void century that we don’t even question what might’ve before
Lol the mural basically confirmed a lot of what I was thinking happened but just couldn’t decide which is which and I’m unemployed and bored so that helps
Not really a theory, just a reminder to people:
Yamatos cover story is not over yet
Ulti is still holding the hat the group promised to deliver to Kawamatsu
the mural didnt confirmed nothing but talkes about the past. its not the future. the first world and the second world is in the past. the third world is the current world right now. the reason why i said the first and second was in the past because we now know that nika was somehow involve with the destructions of the 2 worlds.
I’m talking about confirmed but really mean corroborated some of my ideas and thoughts of what I believe may have happened in the void century and the past, there’s still a lot of questions like who and what the original sun god was as well as the other gods and even how the ppl from the moon shape into the world I’m open to any criticism
but i do agree with joyboy and imu being allies before.
i dont get how people doesnt see this as imu
It is def more of a story than a theory but there are still things that can be seen as a fact such as the original creation of the sun energy (mother flame) that the ancient kingdom possibly replicated to in the creation of the devil fruits thru dreams but Vegapunk already confirmed the dream part, and that a pact was made between a human and a demon from the 2nd half most likely imu
I think my belief that imu is a female probably also influenced my thoughts but it could still stand if imu is a male being jealous of Lilly and joyboys relationship
this is also basically what i was told last time i started to share some of my theories but meh thats just semantics
definitely feel you are framing everything as too personal, whereas Oda has made a move to show that this is just as much an ideological battle in the end
i understand that but imu has shown to have a grudge against lilly and joyboy that has lasted a millenia, it could both be an ideological conflict (dreams and freedom vs nightmares and oppression) as well as imu still feeling slighted by whatever joyboy, lilly, and the ancient kingdom as well as other races/humans did in the past
I don't think Imu feels slighted by Lilly, you don't hang a painting of someone who slighted you in your secret throne room, has to be more fundamental than that, but I also am drawing a blank on what it could be in the grand scale of things. Maybe Imu wanted to rule alongside her and she left and they never were able to let that go, who knows
if it helps, I think you definitely are getting the broad strokes right here
slighted as in the sense of imu believing lilly to be an ally that could never betray them but ending up doing that anyway but ya it would really influence my thinking more based on what imus gender is but im not sure i just have a headcanon that in the void century there was a trio of joyboy imu and lilly and something caused them to drift away from each other whether it be love, power or just an ideology clash
imu wasnt shown to have a grudge against liliy more like imu was just dissapointed of what lily did to the poneglyph.
i do think there is evidence to suggest that imu engaged in some sort of demonic pact with all the occult symbols being shown and now a demonic book that she can use while controlling other ppl plus it would make sense thats something the wg has erased is the knowledge of rituals
i mean throwing a dagger thru a picture of one of her descendants is a choice but the grudge is mostly focused towards joyboy/nika and those that follow the will of the d whether they know it or not
imu didnt cut vivis picture. only blackbeard luffy and shirahoshi
my assumption is that hers was next logically but otherwise its def a reach for sure
u could actually see imu holding vivis poster like it was important to him
the WG are searching for her but who knows why its not like she saw what happened in the throne room
i could look to add some of the concepts about the theory of imu actually being lilly in someway that the demonic pact caused her to become the corrupt version of imu and that could explain her fascination for vivi as maybe she resembles herself when she was younger
this can't be true because there was an actual king called nerona imu in void century
but that theory doesnt make sense to me since its believe lilly spread some of the poneglyphs, also it wasn’t confirmed if that imu was a king just a monarch (gender neutral term)
ill be back later with a shorter more concise version that isnt as much story telling in the future hopefully tie up and find explanations for some of the holes in my theory
i think im def ignoring how elbaf play into the void century war but ig ill have more after this arc ends
there is also the op-op fruit that grants immortality and can change personalities
and doflamingo wanted the fruit for the treasure of mariejoa
i actually have a head canon that joyboy was the original owner of the dark dark fruit and the first one to have multiple devil fruits. and is probably why blackbeard was so obsses on finding the dark fruit because at one point he probably told whitebeard he wants to be joyboy the one roger was waiting for. so why would blackbeard choose the dark fruit? maybe because he knew something about joyboy. back to op op fruit. i think joyboy had 3 fruit power. darkness, nika, and the op op no mi. and i really think that joyboy was force to use the op op immortally to imu for some unknown reason. and thats probably why joyboy went around apologizing to people and saying goodbye to his friends. for example joyboys conversation with emeth. sounds like he was saying goodbye or something.
Imu's power seems to be put in parallel to Mr. 3, but you could also compare it to Miss Goldenweek drawing black circles to force people betrayal.
Both of them had an elemental weakness : Wax was weak to fire, and painting could be countered by water.
So maybe Imu's power is the superior version of that, where you need a mix of the 5 chinese elements to counter the pact
Maybe it’s an aspect of the buccaneers dna that allows them to hold multiple fruits but that would lead into further questions of is Blackbeard also a buccaneer or if there were other buccaneers that could also do it so maybe I’m reaching there. But the buccaneer race is def an interesting one bc it’s believed that their race was an evolutionary process rather than just a human and giant having a kid since colon isn’t considered a buccaneer
i dont think its race related. i really think its the darkness fruit. probably have the property of housing multiple fruits in the body.
That would make sense as to why Blackbeard also wants control of it, I hope we get some chapters about him soon cause he seems to know a lot about the world that some ppl don’t
i mean blackbeard reads a lot on his free time. i think blackbeard reads more book than vegapunk himself.
Ok, so last chapter, the gunko/Brook connection was teased, only for her to immediately be possessed by Imu, then this Chapter, through Dorry and Broggy, we learn what Imu can do.
Methinks we are going to get the Gunko/Brook backstory, by her breaking Imu's grasp via her memories and "the power of love" (a repeated theme in this arc), and dying as a result of her stolen life span (which would mean that Saturn died as a result of Imu simply severing their link)
Sorry for just chiming in, just read the chapter. I think Gunko was the princess of the kingdom Brook worked for before Yorky. Maybe a God Valley incident was done there and afterwards Gunko taken as some sort of “spoil of war” and turned into Imu’s weapon.
I’m now convinced that whatever human body is underneath all the garments that “Imu” wears is in fact, Lily, but the real Imu is a male possessing her body like he is doing with Gunko’s. I’m not going to talk about the obvious mentions in the latest chapter of how Imus powers may work, but rather what Imu was originally in my opinion. I Believe they were in love & infatuated with Lily, but Lily died. In the aftermath, he did his own experimentation or research and ended up as the demon he is now. It seems to be like Imu is still a human at their core, just a very twisted one who has clearly delved too deep into demonic power. I believe Imu is holding the body of Lily in hopes of finding a way to return her soul back to her original body, or to just find it period. For me, the final part of one piece has been playing on the concept of love a lot, so it only makes sense for a villain we fight soon to be caused because of some love story, and we know this villain will NOT be Blackbeard.
I will also add, I don’t think Imu is the one that is destined to flood the world, but rather that is Blackbeards role. To me it seems like Imu is still very much fond of the idea of ruling lands. Why would he care so much if they’re just planning to flood the world? I believe the flooding of the world is more so of a destiny that is bound to happen, but it could be anyone that causes it. It could be luffy breaking the Red Line, or it could be in my opinion, Blackbeard destroying the world. I think at the end of the series Imu will get defeated/sidemanned so hard, as the story was always meant to conclude with a Battle of ideals between D clan members.
imu can't be lily because we know lily looks exactly like vivy and cobra literraly saw how imu looks like and he didnt say anytyhing.
Imu was in full Garments when Cobra met them what??😂
but not her face?
When has it ever been indicated that you could actually see Imus face behind the silhouette esque appearance we’ve ever got of them
Also in the meeting with Cobra, the first thing Imu mentions is Lily, making me more certain he was infatuated with her, but she died/disappeared and he’s trying to find a way to reunite with her
we could see imus eyes. yes us readers wont be able to see imus actual face because oda wasnt ready to reveal imus appearance. but cobra was litterally right in front of imu.
I don't think any indication cobra saw a face. Can't assume that.
So you’re headcannoning a way to discredit what I wrote
i wasnt trying to discredit you but for sure cobra saw how he looks like. and imu have no reason why he needs to hide his face to someone he was going to kill.
There is almost 0 reason to believe he saw a face, if he saw a face there would be an immediate mention. And obviously they’re going to show us Imus eyes?? They’re clearly relevant to some kind of ability or authority
Kid's Return in Elbaph: Theory on His Comeback, and "Damned" Conflict with the Giants
Introduction:
- I believe that the latest chapter, 1150 is the most pivotal chapter that signals Kid's return in Elbaph. This is because he finally ties into the narrative of the conflict Elbaph is facing.
To understand why Kid’s return is imminent, we need to consider his history with the giants, and how his interactions with certain characters such as Shanks, and even Rayleigh, Gaban, and Chopper will contribute to his transition into the upcoming battle.
Kid’s Hatred for the Giants: Dorry and Broggy
-
Unlike every other character on Elbaph as we speak, Kid is the ONLY character that already has a personal stake in the conflict between the enemy giants of Elbaph. Kid and his crew have a deep grudge against two specific giants: Dorry and Broggy, who are under Imu's contract of immortality.
-
During the Red Hair conflict, Dorry and Broggy decimated Kid's precious Victoria Punk ship they've sailed on since the beginning, named after his late friend Victoria. They also did all this even after his crew had already surrendered in combat and in ponegliffs, with an unconscious captain and his partner.
Unlike Kaido, these 2 giants weren't even trying to purposely keep anyone alive, they could have all died if this wasn't One Piece.
- Therefore, what Dorry and Broggy did to Kid is arguably worse than what even Kaido did. Kaido only fought because Kid and Killer didn't accept Kaido's offer, and Kaido purposely desired to keep everyone alive, ship included, in hopes of getting that submission. The only reason Kid was in prison and Killer ate a SMILE by Orochi was because they never submitted.
Kid’s Role in the Underworld and His Return in Elbaph
-
Given that this is the same series with countless fakeout deaths, I believe that Kid is still alive. He's currently in the Underworld.
-
Kid and his crew are viewed as criminals by Elbaph’s standards. Their attempt at doing battle with Elbaph, according to Dorry / Broggy would have lead to their banishment to the Underworld, where other exiled humans reside for the exact same crime.
-
This would parallel and be similar to Kid’s introduction in the last arc, where he was introduced in the prison of Wano's Udon mines.
-
Kid's recovery abilities are abnormally fast. He had exceeded even Shanks' expectations before their conflict, and the Beast Pirates who noted it only takes a few days for him to fully recover. Kid's last conflict was in fact 3 days ago, in-story.
Kid’s Meeting with Chopper and Scopper Gaban
-
I believe Kid will inevitably cross paths with familiar faces—Gaban, who is currently falling into the Underworld to potentially meet Kid, and Chopper, whom Kid met during Udon. Kid has once openly stated that he would never trust anyone, in front of Chopper's face.
-
However, Kid has grown since those days. While he may not have trusted the Straw Hats before, his interactions in battle with his fellow allied Worst Generation members have made him more accepting. Chopper aims to gain the crucial information from Gaban's on Imu’s immortality curse, which could be key to Kid’s survival against these cursed giants he wants vengeance against.
-
As for Gaban, he's the one with the original information of countering the immortality of Imu. Kid has knowledge of Roger’s crew through epithet and reputation, as seen by his reaction to Rayleigh, Thus, Kid would recognise Gaban's identity as a formidable ally and repository of information. Kid would be willing to take Chopper and Gaban’s guidance on the current situation of Elbaph and how to counter the demonic powers, to get his lick back at Dorry / Broggy. This is all if they were to hypothetically cross paths within the Underworld, in any case.
-
If the counter Gaban knows has to do with Conquerors Haki, Kid would be the perfect person to pass this information to, given Kid’s ability to wield this haki. Kid's physical contact against the Shanks' attack taken from the Pirate King may have already given him an inkling on the secrets of Conqeurors Haki, as well.
Kid's "Damned Punk" and His Battle with the Damned Giants
-
Kid's strongest attacks actually already have to do with demonic themes. Punk Rotten, Punk Corna Dio, and most importantly Damned Punk.
-
The latter, "Damned Punk" sounds like the perfectly befitting technique to unleash upon the cursed, demonified giants of Elbaph. "Damned" by definition means subjected to serve eternal punishment in hell, exactly what the giants seem to be experiencing right now by Imu. He'd very much be hammering the thematics home on them, with his retribution-fueled abilities such as this.
-
This would be even more impactful when consider that this very ability is the exact same "gun" that was pointed towards Elbaph which Broggy mentioned beforehand, and the move that would have hit towards the giants' direction if not for Shanks' intervention.
Revised version after several months, of my theory on Kid's comeback in Elbaph. Thanks to the story's most recent events finally converging all the "good guys" on Elbaph's goals / enemies with Kid's own goals / begrudged enemies @cobalt igloo @desert quest @slate burrow @simple bolt
Kidd has got to come back sooner or later anyway and he fits way more than law appearing right now. But I was thinking that the only people who could possibly help in this situation right now is Shanks crew, or Kaido & Big Mom spawn out of nowhere, so only Shanks can help. If shanks comes to help then Kidd will come out of the blue again too for sure.
i really want kid to come back because i think he will be the key to finding out who the man marked by flame is.
Kid has too much potential left to just kill off.
I’m bored so here is random theory. For the ringed eyes that IMU has that people are saying it’s same as mihawk. What if those eyes aren’t connected to imu but is his sword cos how enma has its soul and was sucking zoro same with mihawk. Just a ahh pull theory but what if when zoro gets black blade his other eye becomes like mihawk aswell 🤣 (guess im really bored)
im not sure if you notice. mihawk and imus speech pattern is the same.
there is a small chance that mihawk is related to imu.
Can luffy do magic? In the pre-OP series, nami asks luffy about black magic and he shrugs. In alabasta, when he inhaled the fruit, Zoro and sanji shout “are you a magician” at luffy. And now we have imu, luffys opposite, with a magic spell book
Luffy can do anything, like Imu I imagine. They just use it in different ways. Every devil fruit acts on real concepts that can be used without needing the specific fruit. I’m assuming Luffy and Imus powers are the origins of being able to alter reality and use “powers” with future devil fruits being branches of these powers. So yes in short luffy can probably use some kind of magic.
I CALLED IT!
WHAM!
Nice bro! I’ve also assumed that all of the “control” Imu has it to do with the mark. Their regeneration is strictly linked to the mark in my opinion, and isn’t just active 24/7
Sis* and yeah that makes sense a.f!
Haha my bad sis!
Well Imu said the trade of lifespan was specifically to be granted the demonic power. It would be interesting if everything Imu uses is powered by lifespan, but it could explain why they refuse to do any dirty work, as he could have to trade his life to make it work. All of Imus entire plan may have been accumulating so much lifespan so that he can use so much power. Good thinking
I don’t think this is true. Jango and miss golden week have their own magic systems that we’ve never explored
Both were hypnosis
do u think enel will come back
That’s probably something you can ask in #manga or #manga-serious and get a faster answer
ok
Imagine this is a foreshadowing that Imu will use Domi Reversi on Jinbe.
my theory is
imu's devil fruit is devil devil fruit
clearly a mythical zoan devil fruit
look at her form
it's literally classic cartoon devil
(exept the horns are missing)
she is also half naked considering she is a woman that's the best oda can do ig
she clearly uses the magic circles related to this dark magic type of shit
and a point to be noted is she pulled a book out of thin air and then uses the book to pull out a dagger and a gun 3 times her own body
so probably 30 times larger than the book
if you can pull out things out of thin air then why bother pulling a book first
so my theory is this book is a part of her devil fruit and she can only pull the book out of thin air as it's a devil fruit ability and this book allows her to store some items (or maybe even just spawn but thats too over powered)
I feel like it's been mentioned many times how Luffy Gear transformations take a big toll on his body and may have the same effect of slightly shortening his life span every time he uses them.
and the term devil fruit got it's name from the 1st devil fruit which is the devil devil fruit
else why would a devil fruit make you a literal god
doesn't make sense
i bet many of you had the idea already but i just thought: "mhm i dunno shit but i bet all members of the D Clan will be immune to the demonification" because they already crossed or stuff like that?
well ok guys this is my theory
THIS IS NOT LUFFYS PEAK YET.
Ohh boii, u guys will be shocked by this misconception which people have of " GEAR 5 ". So lemme cook here 1. When Luffy went "gear 5" for the very first time and when oda gave us the intro box it says [ Gear 5 ] and not [ Gear 5 : awakening] Luffy still hasn't gone through awakening. (2) The reason why people think Luffy awakened his fruit is cuz of the introduction which gorosai gave and what kaido said when he say Luffy the first time he went gear 5. (3) The reason why I belive so this is true is cuz in chapter 1069 when rob lucci is showed in his awakened form oda clearly gave us a intro box telling [ CAT-CAT FRUIT MODEL: LEOPARD AWAKENED FORM ] and guess what this didn't happen for gear 5 Luffy
oh if anyone wants to check out if whatever I told up there is true u can check urself (1) - Luffy going gear 5 : chapter 1044 last page (2) - rob lucci awakening : chapter 1069 page 6-8 and if anyone who doesn't know where to read manga - (mangafire)
I would love to believe that but I don't know if the will of D is enough to resist devil fruit powers. I think what someone said before about the sun pirates mark being the solution is more plausible
i just go by vibe here. Brogy and Dory were very loyal to luffy to be able to turn them so easy i think that there must be a limit. Imu easily forced their will on dory and brogy with this power. The D clan members are labeled as the "enemies of god" i can imagine an endgame where imu turns all characters we know without D in their name and the other characters are the players that will have to fight for an solution and liberation.
I really hope this contract is not a death sentence and can be null and voided somehow and these guys can come back to their normal selves. I cannot believe dory and brogy got slapped down so quickly as well. It really shows the power of Imu.
It was said once about gear 2 and it was a mistranslation, it meant stamina not life force in the sense of lifespan
Or he can just simply go to Gear 6 for his next power up.
guys what if shanks actually cut his arm off because he was once asked by imu to become a gods knight but shanks refused . after this shanks met luffy and thought he had the perfect opportunity to break imu samas curse which was in his left arm
I don't think imu even has a DF, cuz kaido said that haki rules the world in the end, and roger was evidence of that.
He could just cut off his own arm. No need to wait to save luffy lol.
the curse can only be lifted by something worthy or else it will regenerate
bro the to remove the mark of the abyss the person have to take a really bad damage from a foe , as it was show by scoper as he cut soms hand
Dont think we have any concrete info yet on how Imu's ability works. Plus scooper used some special haki (presumbly) to hurt sommers but he still ends up regenerating once Imu's takes over Gunko.
What imu did Here they did it to King Harold .
Loki is immune because of will of d and killed his farher to Protect elbaf.
If this is true and Loki did have to kill his father, then idk if Dorry & Brogy could be saved
Hear me Out... He had to be killed because Loki did Not have Access to the Powers of Nika WE know WHO does. Nika should be the other Side of this god/devil swip swap and will be able to use the holy Power of Uno Reverse
That's also probably not going to work. Maybe the gorosai and the giants devil contracts are different but nika didn't do anything to the gorosai it most likely going to be a haki thing
Interesting...he was also in the ocean - which if it is related to a devil fruit, might have also played a factor. He can also see into the future more than anyone else
The D clan being trapped in hell/purgatory. The abyss being at Lodestar and can only be accessed with an incantation written on poneglyphs. Only Demon child Robin can read poneglyphs…
I feel like this does make it more likely that imu and mihawk have some connection
Correct
looking for thoughts here. Do we think anything from Nikas timeline truly matters or is it more just a history lesson to a certain extent? OUR story seems to start during IMU and joboys lifetime. I'm mentioning this in reference to the mural. I have a working theory, but keep getting locked up on the first world's gods. And now I'm thinking that it doesn't actually matter the identity of the earth god, or the serpent because they're from 3000 years ago. whatever their identities were in the first world are not their identities within the third world if they even exist within the third world. a second thought on that is that the earth god and the forrest god are one and the same. same god worshipped by different people through the ages. forest and earth easily mixed up.
I just had the craziest thought,
You know how in marineford Blackbeard swiped in out of nowhere and stole whitebeards fruit? That gave him a logia and paramecia. If the 3 devil fruit theory is true then what if in the final fight when Luffy (prolly) beats Imu, Blackbeard swipes in and steals Imus fruit (Imus fruit is prolly like a satan satan Zoan fruit) and gets the zoan he needed and becomes an unstoppable final boss
other people have had that thought too
blackbeard will prolly die before he meets imu
Please refrain from using manga-theories for joke theories, casual chit-chat, power scaling, bounty predictions or low-effort memes. It’s not a joke 😭
Throwing a bunch of random claims on the wall without providing any in-story evidence/reasoning isn’t something we’ll take seriously here
What Gunko-Imu said in chapter 1150 reminded me of my shitty theory :v
I think BB is more endgame than Imu. We know Imu plan and everything more or less. We just don't have a backstory. BB kinda has more mystery than Imu lol. The goal of BB is still kinda obscure, his "body"/race, his backstory, etc
bb will gonna be a real deal but we still don't know about imu so can't be sure who will be the final boss
After seeing Imus powers , the words "man killed sun , man became God makes more sense"
Imu's power is vaguely similar to luffys
Ever think back to film red and wonder how much might be foreshadowed there? I mean to musica definitely had some demonic vibes now that I watch the music video again.
Heck Uta at the end looks like she's both terrified of what she's working with and regretful that it got that far. Can see many feeling the same about Imu, yeah?
Brook fruit might has to do something with imu transformation
maybe his fruit can stop it
They are basically opposites. One is freedom and joy, other is slavery and sadness. Creating anything they want from their imaginations. Imu probably has the opposite god to Nika. I hope Luffy doesn't go Naruto mode and start sharing our his Nika power energy to everyone. I would say she has the "moon god" fruit but there's also Blackbeard in the mix
What if BB is jusy pure into just the treasure like he knows who finds it will also be like the strongest but he is more towards like its the biggest treasure
Like a greedy
I think we are going to be introduced a new thing like first devil fruits then Haki and now the unique weapons of elbaph but rather than that also like magic or something
Doubt he knows what the OP is
Like the treasure that doflamingo was talking about i think it might be the scientific technology that they have about which dr vegapunk talked about
I think only imu knows what the one piece is and thats y she told the five elders to restrict people from finding the last island and also about the void century
I mean the Roger pirates literally know what it is...
And they are not telling it to anyone and also the navy isn't trying to find them and kill them
I mean the only people who knows what it is are the roger pirates and still the navy isn't finding them
Devil fruits come from desires and dreams. Now, who do we know doesn't ever sleep? Thats right, Blackbeard. And what can you never do if you can never sleep? Dream
Yeah Imu being moon god is my theory too , idr where I heard this but I heard " Moon always tried to imitate the sun" or sum like that
Just depends on who is the real final boss. At this point i'd probably pick BB and he ends ups with Imu's fruit/powers after getting defeated by Luffy somehow. I feel the potential 3 fruit BB would be crazier than Imu's opposite Nika fruit but who knows. BB has had information since he was a kid so that's also interesting what he actually knows
Ok. I just had a thought. Let me break it down:
- Gunko was NEVER introduced as a Holy Knight
- During the Reverie, we see Imu use the same powers that Gunko currently uses
- We know Brook served a "certain kingdom"
- We know that there is some sort of connection between Gunko and Brook
- Imu is in Elbaph through Gunko
Ok here me out: I believe its been speculated, for a while, that Stella isnt the only character with Satellites.
What if Gunko is an avatar or a satellite of Imu, themselves
what about gunko knowing Brook as a child
Rewatching a bit of wano, what do we think about Kaido’s attack “Destroyer of Death: Thunder Bagua.” Like Destroyer of Death doesn’t feel like just a random throw in
Maybe it has something to do with him being suicidal
Imus hands are clearly male, those sure af ain't Gunko's hands using the book
So I think the way Luffy will fight imu army of devils is he will do like he did ti bonny and make an army of gods and it’ll be a a final war of good vs evil thing black and white stuff. Bonney transforming we thought was her but it may have been Luffy unknowing giving someone their wish through his unknown awakening.
And how imu enslaves with its power luffy sets free with his
theory, the reason imu is able to control the giant warrior pirates is because harald signed a contract with imu where he pledged that the warriors of elbaf would serve imu for eternity, however this was a double-cross as he then worked to make sure that the children of elbaf would be disdainful of warriorhood, which would then serve to make them immune to imu's control because they dont consider themselves warriors.
also might explain why loki was isolated, as because he no longer considers himself to be a part of elbaf he dosent end up being controlled by imu, i imagine this was a contingency protocol by harald to make sure that if hajruding is taken, they have a backup prince avaialbe
i guess, this might also help ripley, as if she consideres herself a teacher over being a warrior, she might be able to use that technicallity to avoid being domi reversied
why would he sign a contract with imu if he planned on doing the complete opposite of what he signed the contract for
threats? or got fooled and realised too late
and that's why Loki killed him
yes, but he did it not knowing that that was hajrudins plan all along, there not being a king also makes it really difficult for this deal to be changed/upgraded, as there is no one who is capable of arguing as the king for all of elbaf

This is a good one and along the lines of what I think it is. But instead of Loki being the backup that Harald intended, it was one made by Loki's own intentions. Loki wanting to destroy Elbaf so that the country wouldn't exist and hence no king would rule and hence Elbaf would be safe from Imu's demonic contracts and dominion.
I think this ties into Loki back story nicely too as I think the ones Loki killed were converted into Imu's demons and Loki did that to save Elbaf
Aw man i’ve been doing a lot of Ai research just to learn, but I wanted to mess around with theories by feeding it info and making it learn from itself and the story and its been stupidly fun lol.
I got it to give me this over what it’s been yappin and it’s something I haven’t pieced together yet.
Who can un‑flip a Reversi victim?
1. Brook’s Yomi‑Yomi / musical “Soul Resurrection” – his canon feats already override Big Mom’s soul rules; spiritual counter to Imu.
All these little thoughts started poppin in my head about why Brook and Gunko are now so suddenly important. Perhaps the strawhats are protected by a learned “Drum of Liberation” That Brook will eventually teach the whole crew to play, tying in the entire reason why Luffy would have wanted a “Musician” as one of his first instincts in the first place.
Damn, it just said the Forest god might be Buggy, Rain god was Blackbeard, and Earth God is Imu, Knowing that these are all what we consider “Luffy’s Rivals” I see this theme of “Which God is Right” being played so well by Oda now because he’s already done it in similar situation back in Skypiea with Enel.
Even with the Adam Trees on Elbaph and around the world being reminiscent of the Shandorians Ancestor Trees. Nolan was the one to burn those down for the greater good even when Calgara couldn’t accept it, so I believe Luffy will help Loki burn Yggdrasil to the Ground. Not just setting Elbaph free from the chains of the world government, but as a Start of the new Dawn, Ragnarok.
Luffy’s gonna force the World to see that there isn’t One, Four, or a Thousand gods that rule over the World. But a Free united people that can learn and trust through anything.
Like the Trust and Bonds Luffy has made along this path, and is even showing us now by Us talking about any potential doubt in Loki despite his actions. We can all grow together to not trust what we’re told, but what we feel.
Based off all this, I’m gonna assume that we’re still in the Second world and that the Third World has yet to come…
-THE SECOND WORLD:-
“WITHIN THE NOTHINGNESS, THERE IS BREATH.”
An echo from Roger in an Empty generation, kick starting the Greatest Pirate Era the world had seen.
“THE FOREST GOD SENT FORTH DEVILS.”
Buggy and his Goons of Top Tier Demons in Mihawk and Crocodile, building their Luffy~Esque squad of Loser Power houses the same way Blackbeard is.
“THE SUN ONLY AGGRAVATED THE FIRES OF WAR.”
Luffy speed running every single war crime.
“THE PEOPLE OF THE HALF-MOON HAD A DREAM.
THE PEOPLE OF THE MOON HAD A DREAM.”
This might be something we’re about to experience as the D clan and Sky People have been big topics recently.
“PEOPLE KILLED THE SUN AND BECAME GODS.”
The Idea that the Sun was ruling over this world is destroyed by Luffy, showing them that a “Real god” wouldn’t want to be one, only wanting freedom for his people.
“THE SEA GOD RAMPAGED.”
Imus about to throw a Shit Fit they couldn’t keep Elbaph under their control and that Nika has finally shown their Face.
“HE AND THEY COULD NOT MEET AGAIN.”
Since we already know Gunkos true Fear, Nika, and based on Imus reaction to the Haki Rope from Emeth, Imu is going to retreat in Fear over not being able to claim Elbaph as their own due to the Overwhelming Liberation.
With the Third Worlds first passage beginning as follows
“WITHIN THE CHAOS, THERE IS VOID.”
It sounds like Blackbeard will finally take Action and use this Situation on Mariejois to cloak the World in Darkness like a Rain Cloud.
I love the Idea that Luffy, Buggy, Blackbeard, and Imu were all meant to be endgame rivals together, as they all coerce those around them to their side for whatever They believe to be freedom.
It’s all the way these people amass followers and why Shanks has never been a real rival.
With Luffy it’s real faith, Buggy it’s fear, Teach is greed, Imu it’s the illusion of hope.
The only one on here that will ever Truly prosper is Luffy and that’s because he wants what’s best for those around him, not just himself.
Shanks was never an Endgame threat because he was Luffy’s motivation, if he has to be the one to be Luffy’s final lesson of Growth I think that would be really great addition, but at this point in the story it feels like next week it could all end.
i think Imu possessed Gunko, because of Lili, maybe she remind of her somehow? Because when Imu destroyed Lulusia he said "I wan't Vivi" - to posses her body.
wait if imu is a devil and there are "devil" fruits does that mean he made them? and he made it so u cant swim when u eat them and thats why he raises sea levels to kill all df users who are not on marijoa? and the reason the marines are out to get the pirates cuz they are the only people who will remain when the world is flooded. this is a solid theory no?
discussed this with a friend irl and gonna type it here now. We recently saw imu control the giants in elbaph using their powers, but how could imu even possess the giants in the first place? I think this is related to the will of the D. , Imu cannot control or manipulate the D. Due to reasons we do not know of. Also the Wipeout of God valley has been related to the hunting game carried out there but doesn't really make sense considering the celestial dragon's slavery has been seen all over the world. I think that the island was wiped out due to rocks being there. Rocks wanted to be the king of the world not king of the pirates, so he was a solid contender for imu, also he was a D. So he couldn't ever be controlled by imu. I think that he somehow came to know of imu at god valley and thus imu had to destroy the island to prevent leakage of info. This also coincides with how kaido knew about joyboy despite not being able to read the poneglyphs, it was rocks who told kaido about joy boy at God valley. This is also why rocks and his name was deleted from the world and only the high ranking officials knew of him
I actually don't think Imu was the creator of the devil fruits, I think Imu is holding likely the last, or one of the last new devil fruits created. Joyboy may have been the one to create, or at least be the first user of the Nika fruit, and that scared the world's nobility, since one of their own possessed a power and will to liberate the world. A prince who didn't care about ruling his subjects, at least not with an iron fist. Whatever process may have taken place to create devil fruits may have led to creation of Imu's fruit, the most powerful one to fight joyboy and dominate. Joyboy died, perhaps for 2 reasons (1, somehow having the devil fruits grow on any tree, limiting WG power) 2. That his devil fruit couldnt fall under the sway of a dark power, and have a chance to live again. Imu's devil fruit obviously was so powerful that pretty much all of the worlds nobility quickly fell into his influece and heel.
Perhaps making a devil fruit is a rough process, since it requires the life force of a being. I wouldn't be shocked that imu's devil fruit was abnormal, it was a dark thing forged from the souls of dozens, if not hundreds of people.
This is also how the Gura Gura no Mi may have been created. The one mistake the WG did when making Imu's most powerful fruit...was using buccaneers or something like that in the sacrificial ritual. Their soul is not like a normal humans. It allowed a second devil fruit to be created, a void against all devils...whether of the full or half moon.
I think realistically the Devils, D clan...ect are all aspects of the same thing. We see this with shanks, who is was a CD, but lived a life as a pirate. Shanks might give us a picture of what it was like for joyboy. Somebody who was likely a high noble, but gave up that power. God valley was the former rulers of the world coming together....the old evil lords and their soldiers, the roger D clan who wants to liberate and forsake their royal lineage, and the renegade demons who want to usurp power to be the only kings of the world.
Never noticed this before, or should I say never paid attention. When WB visited wano the belief in wano was there is only 5 islands in the world. So before the great flood or however u wanna call it that's how the world of one piece looked
East, North, South, West blue and a 5th, the Great Kingdom
Old news I know but this scene never triggered me before.
i dont think imu has a df. hes the original entity. so just like "nika" he is the original entity
A continent surrounded by water is just a big island 😜🤪
“Ragnarok” will be the name of the war arc
Do you have any further analysis or evidence you can draw from to support this prediction of the war arc's title, to turn it into an actual theory on par with this channel's standard? It may be subject to omission if not
Well sorry for not going more into depth
Ragnarok in norse mythology means “Doom of the gods” and its a cataclysmic event that marks the end of the world. I feel considering our proximity to the final war being triggered, probably at the end of Elbaf, I just find it a fun thing to say that the actual name for the grandiose war is Ragnarok.
hints and evidence that Gaban is the one who has the last poneglyph:
a) his thematic connection to Sanji. The latter has whirls as eyebrows. According to Lafitte the person in question can sink ships by creating whirlpools. Scopper Gaban whirls around wildly during fights. Further, his theme is love, similar to Sanji, who has curly eyebrows. "Love is also always a hurricane" which is a tornado over the sea, which should be able to whirl water around.
b) he told Luffy to meet him once confirmed Luffy has a white form and once Elbaph is still safe once they leave. Roger knew they were too early and a crew will appear, which will surpass theirs. So Scopper chose to keep the poneglyph safe close to elbaph, where also all the literature is stored, and waited, while others waited in east blue, reverse mountain, shapondy archipelago. no proof ofc but it fits elegantly imo.
thats a good theory, giving luffy the final poneglyph before he heads off
but that will wildly change the events of final war since everyone will be going after luffy instead of desperately trying to find the final poneglyph
HOWEVER theres a counter to your theory as well
You use latiffte mention of whirpools as substantiated evidence, but choose to ignore Shiryus statement which claims that its probably in the possession of an government man
remember the World government keeping a poneglyph to themselves would prevent any pirate crew from reaching laugh tale
So unfortunately, even though your theory in large does make sense, theres one big piece of evidence that makes it hard to believe
Also connecting actual whirpools to sanjis eyebrows is a huge stretch honestly
how likely would it be for kuma to be the last strawhat?
Unlikely considering he’s on death’s door and idk if Oda would want two former warlords on the main crew
so you think kuma dying is gonna be a major plotpoint instead?
I think kuma won't have another major plotpoint.
crocodile is joyboy
this is probably troll but elaborate
first i think nika was a demon summon by the use of music by the slaves during the void century which is why the devil fruit does not exist in the cyclopedia
because joyboy died and made a deal with nika to manifest the hito hito nomi model nika into the world
but joyboy escaped from the underworld and would have to 1.hide his appearance so that he would not be recognized 2.carried a relic with him from the ancient kingdom (crocodile golden hook👀 )and the 3rd thing pluton which is a boat used to gain access to the under world and who check all these boxes CROCODILE who was after pluton
xotol who represents the moon God were know as the dog face man and if you search and image of him he looks exactly as the wolly hippo on drum island whats the biggest imagry you get from drum island?? the MOON(moon God) what crocodile favourite hobby? mushroom hunting WHO have the mushroom devil fruit CHOPPER what island is that on DRUM ISLAND who is the forest God
queen lily the first forest God who ruled alabasta then created the poneglyph hence joyboy is undercover as crocodile who was in alabasta trying to find the ancient weapon and trying to figure out how to read the poneglyph
this might be wrong but i really think this is his big secret😭 😭
I just saw a Monkey D Quel theory stating Crocodile is joyboy 😭
he the goat frr
Not sure if crocodile is joyboy, but with how we don't know shit about him and that golden hook of his + the pirate king crocodile image😭 i'm starting to think crocodile is way more important than we thought
My theory is that its actually mad simple to bypass holy knight regen. Its not a new haki, its ryuo. The reason luffy couldnt perm damage elders is cuz he used coa and acoc. After wano we aint seen him use ryuo at all. Its internal destruction. It could be a stupid theory tho
Maybe Ryou was Mastering Armament so that you not only up your physical stats but extend that power outward - Supreme King is how you add Will-Power to each hit - and then maybe you can add Observation Haki into your hits to prevent the future you don't want? We saw Scopper clearly has some really powerful observation haki. Probably not too much of a long shot to assume that there might be a way to imbue observation haki into your attacks the same way that Supreme King haki can be imbued into your attacks.
yo there is a tiktok about a book that is in mihawks possession that resembles a text “saint imu” the video is not viral but has a point i hope yall check it out , https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSkFqFfHp/
Idk about that one since they had to blot out parts of the book title to make the letters. But you might want to read into Empress Wu Zetian, who Imu Nerona might be based off of. She was the first and only female emperor of China, lived to be 80 years old (*10 = 800?), which is super ancient back in those days ; and they claimed to be the Buddha Reborn becoming the Holy and Divine Emperor. Her father was a lumber merchant (maybe a reference to an Adam-Wood Merchant?) and she claimed some ancestrarl ties to other legendary Chinese figures such as Laozi. She also wasn't the heir to her father's name, meaning she shouldnt' have been the queen but took the throne by force and exiled her half-brothers to prevent them from taking power when she started to come to fruition. Shen then married the extant Emperor, who died without bearing children with her resulting in her becoming a monk. She later married the next emperor and took the throne by some controversial means after she bore four sons and the rightful heir to the throne got sick and named her the acting empress. Idk if all that is really relevant, but her story is definitely impactful on history and might be the real world reference that Oda is attempting to make by claiming that a female emperor took power by controversial means.
I have a theory about Buggy attacking Holy Land with cross guild. To be fair this would be dope as fk, even better than dragon attacking mariejoa. Of course they gonna lose, and will be captured, but Buggy, Mihawk and Sandman gonna survive and will be slaves.
And you know, Oda would like to do something like this
Second theory: who is the man with flaming scar? Hm what about Roger, I know he is dead, but maybe in his coffin there is a map to the last poneglyph? Maybe his body was cursed by something and that’s the reason of the burning scar. Before he died he said he gonna die soon, because he was sick, maybe that was the reason?
it is possible. but since Gaban pinpointed Laugh Tale's location, he may as well tell Luffy where is is. Then he wouldn't need a poneglyph at all.
Rewatch saboady again lol, luffy crashed out at the mere suggestion of being told where the one piece is
no he didn't want to know whether the one piece exists
Also the fact that if Gaban just tells Luffy where laugh tale is, there is truly no point in yknow.. EVEN INTRODUCING the man with the burn scar or the idea of the final poneglyph being in contestion by EVERYONE, that alone will ruin the stakes of the final war
Read the dialogue again pls @cobalt frigate
treasure vs the island
Youve seen the dialogue and now youre just stretching this debate out. You know full well now that your theory is unlikely and would also be out of character for Luffy
Imu and nika fruit are from the same "tree" and they were both the original fruits. Okay so hear me out, in the bible the story of Adam and Eve involves the tree of knowledge of good and evil, I believe Oda is representing both in the first 2 fruits that came to be Imus fruit is the evil and Nika fruit is the good.
do ya'll now the redline theory
I might know of it depending on which one it is, do you mind explaining it for us?
sure bro, whatever you say
You havent provided a single valid counter argument yet 😭
It is possible. There is a cain and abel aspect to this as well we might see. The thing is we could go into so many directions. Why is the eve tree inside the red wall? Where is the top of it? Is there even a top to it? How do devil fruits flow around? Was that intentional? Did joyboy set up this process?
so this is a theory im sure has been presented before, but screw it
so when the harley text was shown, it mentions 4 gods, the sun, earth, sea and forrest gods, one of which we know is joy boy/nika and another is assumedly imu, but if we have 2 that represent 2 of the gods in the modern age, what if theres 2 others? then i remembered, when imu was introduced, they were cutting up the posters of luffy, blackbeard and shirahoshi, so heres the theory, what if those 2 are representations of the other 2 gods? it would explain why imu has any level of interest in those 3 specifically, especially shirahoshi considering otherwise she should mean nothing to them, and in fact i think i can go one step closer in predicting who represents each god based on the harley text:
sun god is obviously luffy
the sea god seems to currently be compared to imu, due to them being assumedly the one to sink the world, but keep in mind we cant actually confirm yet it WAS imu who did that, and the idea of 'the sea god stormed' could also represent anger, so what if thats refering to shirahoshi and the promise joyboy made that he never fulfilled?
then i believe imu to be the forrest god, with the line 'the forrest god tamed demons' relating to their recently shown powers as well as forming the gorosei, who each have demonic abilities
then finally, blackbeard is the earth god, which seems odd at first, but 1- blackbeard currently has the power to shake and destroy the world itself, which could have been how the red line was formed in the past, 2- the harley text specifically mentions how 'The earth god raged, and with its serpent of hellfire, shrouded the world in death and darkness', with darkness being blackbeards entire thing, and 3- it would make blackbeard a more terrifying final foe, representing an older and more powerful god then even imu
i doubt this will be 100% true or false, but i think its an interesting way to think about it, and could make the final war way more interesting
the other thing about blackbeard i wanted to bring up is his current plan, people seem confused as to why he wants to become a world government king, but i think i know what he wants.
so currently blackbeard has a whole theme of 3s (3 skulls, 3 different main emotions, that kinda thing) and so its been theorised for a while he will eventually get 3 devil fruits, the 3rd most likely being a zoan to complete the trio, so heres the theory, what if hes trying to get imu's abilities?
its clear blackbeard knows at least somewhat about imu and stuff, as van augre and katerina devon were both unsurprised at saturn's demon form, and its possible he knows of imu due to his interest in archaeology, perhaps he learnt about the original world nobles and saw members of the gorosei or found the harley text and decyphered it. but if he knew about the demon powers and how they can make you practically immortal, what if he wanted to become a king so he could access the reverie and steal imu's powers? this could also explain why he wanted a copy of saturn's body and why hes been seemingly preparing an attack on the holy land, hell with the newest chapter saying its on fire he could even be undergoing his plan now, though i think he'll be repelled if so, but at some point in the final arc he could steal imus powers and fully represent an opposite of luffy- light vs darkness, creation vs destruction and liberation vs subjugation
I've been catching up with the anime and thought about something else, a new element to the story. Something a bit stretched and outlandish but also plausible.
Who is Blackbeard?
He was part of Whitebeard's crew and sailed in rivalry against the Roger pirates aboard that ship, he's been to Elbaf long before Luffy set sail on the seas to the Grand Line yet was on his way to form a crew around the same time Luffy was.
This is no coincidence.
According to a SBS, if Blackbeard had had a job irl he would have been an archeologist.
I also want to believe that he went to Ohara before it was destroyed by the Buster Call and may have contributed to its destruction by leaking info out of the kingdom to the navy.
Blackbeard, way back in Mock Town before Skypiea, saw Luffy use his fruit and was already aware of it being the Nika fruit.
He knew about the Sun God, Haki, The Poneglyph, the Harley Texts, the first 2 worlds and the many interpretations of the Sun God (Nika or JoyBoy).
I think this goes a lot deeper, him being aware of the prophecy and waiting for Joy Boy to show up just to engulf him in darkness... much like Imu does.
After all, if it weren't for Ace intervening he was going after Luffy firsthand.
Here goes the crazy: Blackbeard cannot sleep and is shown weeping under the moon, dreamless. Luffy and Zoro also call him a "they", denying he's a single person.
I think its also quite reasonable to assume "they" is aware of Imu's existence.
Blackbeard either:
1- Is the reincarnation of the first dark god we see in the first world or the one from the 2nd world.
2- He found out about those first devils and gods and wants to either side with them or.... absorb them!
The same way Doflamingo wanted to swap personalities with Imu to take control of the world, Blackbeard would want to absord Imu themself or Imu's powers to rule over it.
He wants to drown the Sun God in darkness, maybe he's even a descendant of someone involved in all of this that suffered (part 1)
Horrible fate because of their alliance to Joy Boy and Nika.
He is somehow banned from accessing the realm of dreams, yet he's extremely aware of them.
He might have the same knowledge Enel has about "The World Of Dreams", and seeks access to it to either destroy it or conquer it.
I can think of 2 ways he does: Imu's summoned book in the lastest chapter, or Luffy's Sun God fruit as they both seem to be able to pull real objects from thin air and from their imaginations/thoughts/dreams/ambitions.
This guy wants everything, his greed has no end and it very well may be out of revenge.
I want to say its out of pure lunacy, but he's too level-headed for that.
I want to say he wants to destroy the world, but he already could of if he wanted to with Whitebeard's fruit.
Now, he ate 2 devil fruits.
He could have that potential by being related to Imu or other ancient devils or gods or being from those bloodlines, the Devil flowing through his veins allowing to consume multiple fruits at no risk of dying.
A news article, as opposed to a theoretical one? If it's grounded in theory you can post it along with some sort of further summary / explanation of it here, but if not, it's best to share it in chats such as #manga. Which don't have the same posting rules/limitations as here anyway, easy
Doflamingo hints at a powerful secret behind his survival and influence over CP0 — he knows about a “crucial treasure.” Later, in Chapter 906, he mentions Marijoa’s “hidden treasure” while speaking to Tsuru. If we rewind to Chapter 761, Doflamingo reveals to Law that if he had the Ope Ope no Mi’s immortality surgery, he could’ve used Marijoa’s treasure to seize ultimate power. He also brings up a “personality-switching surgery,” subtly suggesting that Imu may have used it to steal Queen Lily’s body.
Fast forward to Chapter 1150 — Imu summons a Grimoire and declares:
“In exchange for some measure of thy lifespan, thou wilt receive an undying body and uncanny strength under fealty to Imu. Thou art unbound by common sense and logic! Demons are the only proper form for life to take!”
Imu continues, saying:
“I give thee the power of evil,”
before summoning a demonic pentagram and unleashing a technique called “Domi Revers,” transforming Dorry into a full-fledged demon.
This reveals two crucial things:
The Grimoire consumes the user’s lifespan to activate its powers.
Since Imu is likely immortal thanks to the Ope Ope no Mi’s immortality surgery, they don’t suffer any side effects — instead, they sacrifice the lifespan of others to fuel the Grimoire’s dark magic.
I'm I reaching?
What are you saying the treasure is am confused
the treasure is Imu’s grimoire, which is used to grant the victims the power of evil and turn them into demon troops via diabolical contracts.
Oh
thats what Doffy was trying to do if he got the immortality surgery, spam the grimoire and create armies of demonic troops. It’s a secret fitting to shake the core of the world like he said.
So the grimorie is how imu is able to do all this and how the god knights get this ability’s but it comes at a cost of your life span each time you activate it so you need to immortal surgery to be able to use it to it full power cause without the surgery you would just die kinda like the pills from fish island
Imagine if the One Piece is a "treasure" only Joy Boy can use
How viable is it for Kidd to come back and make some sort of play with Elbaf with some Haki/power up? I know he wouldn't randomly repel and send Imu back or something. He got 1 shot off the coast of Elbaf so he either floated to shore, got picked up by someone on a nearby island or truly is dead. No one ever did anything with the big sword in Wano, do you think he'd possibly do something with the big Elbaf sword or is that more a Giant Luffy/Loki thing? Or just a part of the background lol
Afaik Kid's crew is 100% done for nobody seen swimming.
Law has a higher chance of showing up cause Bepo
!theories @torn plover don’t be a dick with reacts like that. If you disagree with something, feel free to verbalize it. Otherwise don’t use this channel
@sharp fulcrum hi, this channel is for longer theories with more evidence/reasoning. Your idea about Zoro’s eye being a one-up to Mihawk and Law sacrificing himself for Luffy are interesting, but need to be fleshed out more before it can be shared in this channel. You can also use #manga-serious for shorter ideas and brainstorm evidence/reasoning there if you’d like.

Kid and killer cant swim either so if they were to have survived they had to have been taken by someone
I mean maybe dorry and broggy captured them but i feel like we'd have seen them in the underwolrd atp if they were there
Where is this from ? I read Egghead, did this happen in the anime or also in the manga (I can't remember)?
Demons and Angels, One Piece and the Bible
The Bible is a heavy influence on the One Piece story and the more we see of Imu and the Demons it becomes more evident. Think of all the references so far - Adam and Eve trees, Noah's Arc, Seraphim, the Bible that Kuma carries, Sky people with angel wings and now Imu showing up in the shape of a devil which would reference Lucifer in the Bible.
When it comes the the Underworld and the Soul we can see Imu turn Brogy into a demon, which could be a way of seeing Brogy's soul being tempted with strength and power in exchange for a part of their lifespan. The Soul which would exist in a separate dimension, the Underworld, could be the true nature of a person's being, their true desires. When a soul of a warrior which desire strength and power would gets tempted with power ups then it would be hard to resist.
Joyboy in a similar way could have the power to influence souls, but not directly with raw strength, but with freedom. Every soul would have desire to be free and Joyboy would be a liberator of the Soul and not rule over them the way Imu would subjugate and rule over souls. Imu would rule over souls to create a great army that they Control, while Joyboy would free souls and them then of their own free will join Joyboy.
I have a strong feeling that the Ancient Giants are Demons from the Underworld set free by Joyboy in the distant past and then joined his first pirate crew, this could be key in fighting Imu if the soul of Loki would be immune to Imu's temptations because of Joyboy.
A symbol which would associate with Nika is the cross which can be seen in the Church where Kuma is from, the same symbol can be seen on OZ in Thriller Bark, and even the Jolly Roger of Pirates can be seen as a cross if turned a bit.
The fundamental difference in mindset between the World Government and Pirates could be reflected in what drives Imu and Joyboy and the main driving desires of the souls, Raw Power vs Freedom.
Egghead anime OP
It is at the top of mariejois and it's roots stretch to the bottom of the red line, I believe that the eve tree might have been the first devil fruit tree.
@raw scarab check out this old theory it talks a lil bit about what I think the origin might be there is obviously new information with Imu now so in its entirety it has changed a lil bit I still believe alot of this.
(Part 1)
I don't think it's demons vs angels. I think One Piece is a space opera.
We know from cover stories that the Moon has at least one city on it and there's space pirates.
The Moon City looks very similar to the first world in the mural, imho.
What if Imu was the leader of Earth and Nika the leader of the Moon/space confederation or whatever?
First world:
Humans are under an oppresive regime. The Earth God is literal in this sense, kinda like an emperor of mankind? supreme leader of earth? The peasants touch the forbidden flame, probably some tech from outer space, and come in contact with the advanced civilisation of Nika. They begin to pray to Nika as a god (like asgardians in MCU) to liberate them, and a war breaks out. The Hellflame Serpent could just be a spaceship made by Imu to fight the Nika confederation or whatever.
Second world:
Nika lost. With the technology he had he made devil fruits and spread them to Earth, hoping to give the people the way to break free by themselves. The Devil Fruits were created (the fires of war in this case) and the forest god spread them out? Like parasites or something.
But here's the thing: the Devil Fruits come from the Moon itself. And the Moon controls water currents. The fruits, who were originally meant to be a tool of fredoom, became a tool of oppression. People abused their powers, and that wasn't what Nika had hoped for. Some fruits still have wills, Zoans to be precise, and they rebelled.
I posit the Sea wasn't always dangerous to DF users, but after abusing their "gifts" the fruits themselves want out. They were not created for this. So when a user lands in the ocean they pull them towards the Moon, hoping to escape. Moon and Sea are tied together.
Third world:
Now. What's happening right now in One Piece.
(part 2)
This would explain the MANY weird races of One Piece. Lunarians, Giants, Buccaneers, Fishmen, Shandians, etc etc etc.
This doesn't break Vegapunk's idea about fruits being dreams, they can still be dreams made manifest from the Nika civilisation or they created some way to manifest dreams and infuse them with the will of Nika? Possible?
This could also explain why the kozuki, fishmen and minks are in a coalition. Cause they were part of the same galactic federation or something. Pluto is probably a spaceship. Wouldn't surpirse me.
Vegapunk also said that the void century wasn't good vs evil but a battle of idelogies. I could see why this would be the case: given great power it's only natural. Some believed the powers were best served for freedom and should be given freely (JoyBoy) others feared what might happen when a random dude off the street can start shooting fireballs from his nose (20 kings) and both are neither good nor evil. Both have a point.
Would be terrifying if the holy knights are ppl who straw hats met or know them as friends or anyone close. All of them, controlled by imu. Like luffy loves shanks, but also means anyone impersonating or shafeshifters can trick luffy and kill him ngl (shamrock on high iq or tht one person on BBs crew)
I also think imu can gain control over others bodies by bringing them to the throne room, by staring into their eyes or something else. Imu controls the 5 elders and the holy knights by making a deal with the devil. Teleportation, mythical powers/fruit, regeneration, immortality in exchange for service. Its as if, you cannot use your powers unless you get summoned or summon yourself with a pentagram. All the gorosei and holy knights are powerless (excluding high haki users) until they use a summoning skill to do so.
Imu killed Saturn without even lifting a finger which means saturns body was already under the supervision and control of imu.
St.Figarland also says he has has been assigned new powers when he enters as the new 5th elder.
Imu wants vivis body for her bloodline powers or some info maybe
This msg has been sent late due to phone being switched off while typing 2 weeks ago
I have a interesting theory I just unveiled
Imu possessed on gunko. So what if the person on shadows is the body of lily possessed by imu
How many people in this server want to take my ideas and use them as their own lol
“Just unveiled” as I’ve posted this idea on 3 different platforms
Dude calm down on the plagiarism accusations.
People have better things to do than that.
We think and reach the conclusion slower, doesn't make us thieves.
Calm down you know
Also when did I ever accuse you of anything lmao, I just made an observation. Also there is no conclusion it’s just a theory, so I find it odd that 3 of my theories have been used in the last week after I uploaded them. I have actually been posting the theories for a while and I have made sure to check that no one else has said them before Becuase I don’t like using someone else’s idea without crediting them (I’ll always say I heard this idea from somewhere else if I did)
Here's one that I doubt was covered:
Luffy's Gear 5th isn't mastered and he'll soon power up. Basis?
His form is white and its pointed out through the story. Its not coincidence and there's an additional reason he's called the Sun God and that Sabo is known as the Flame Emperor.
Tsk... no permissions to upload picture...
So google the White Dwarf Sun and you'll see that its a sun nearing death.
"A white dwarf is a stellar remnant, the leftover core of a star that has burned all its hydrogen fuel. They are named for their white color and are some of the densest objects in the universe"
Luffy's white form and him getting "older" for a moment after using G5 is a representation of that, the Nika Fruit itself is either out of fuel, or Luffy isn't strong enough to keep up with it yet.
"A red giant is a massive, evolved star with a reddish hue and low surface temperature. They form when a star runs out of hydrogen fuel for nuclear fusion and begins to die. The core contracts and heats up, causing hydrogen fusion to move to the outer layers, which swell and cool, giving the star its red"
The Red Giant Sun could be what Loki has, but I think its more likely that its the Mera Mera fruit (esp eith Sun/Flame Emperor thing and Ace's will being in it).
That means Luffy should have to eat that fruit to reach full power or eat a Mother Flame, either way, he's near death and Sabo's life should be as well but when combined then the True Sun God Nika can show up at full power to be able to challenge Imu.
It either that or since the Sun needs Hydrogen then Dragon's fruit would be the one required to be eaten to properly fuel him, but Luffy's fruit isn't complete.
Its also really weird how commonly its pointed out that his form is white and not in color.
Fair only if applicable. Back to my theory.
White dwarf and red giant could also be based because the Gorosei and gods of One Piece are based on the Solar System and how it revolved around the Earth or Sun at the moment.
- There's the thing about inherited will, meaning that Luffy still has to earn a legacy from a past generation to get stronger.
It could be from Gyaban teaching him more like Reyleigh, Garp and Dragon's deaths, maybe Shanks betraying him or teaching him a final thing before dying.
Why Kaido went to Marineford Theory
"I believe kaido went to marineford cause he wanted to save and recruit Ace. (Kaido might've thought Ace was joyboy, cause he's Rogers son and also a D, Now, Remember the confrontation between Kaido and Shanks? I believe Shanks told Kaido that Ace isn't Joyboy, and that Joyboy will come to him in Wano (Luffy). Even when you look back at the moment Kaido kills luffy, He specifically says, "You couldn't be Joyboy EITHER it seems." Now think about this, Kaido has King, Queen, Jack, and Doflamingo (AKA Joker), These are all different playing cards, And what are they missing?? An ace, So i believe Kaido wanted to rescue and recruit Ace simply cause he thought Ace was joyboy."
Shoutout Quel for this
Okay @wraith cradle you cooked with this one that's solid a.f
Good theory. And as we see with kaido, he thought when he was young he was the only one who could change the world. Rocks may have also told him information he learned. Kaido may have thought he could be joyboy for awhile, one reason he went to wano. But something happened when he realized he wasn't joyboy. All of rocks crew may have felt they were on a destined path in some way....that showed cracks when Rocks was defeated.
this goes hard, thanks for the dish mr chef
yes, I agree with you
and I appreciate you both for the support on the Kaido theory @grand comet @kindred quail
is there any theory on blackbeard being subject to imu
bro that actually sounds like official lore
Me and my friend were discussing the Playing Cards connection bro, it made so much sense
isnt this theory from monkey d. quel?
majority of it is, yup
made sure to quote it and put a shoutout at the bottom btw
lol
So its not Loki that cooked, its Quel. sigh
🕊️ 💔 Myf

Still can't upload pics, but here's one still related to inherited will:
The baby in Makino's arms recognized Luffy in the newspaper, or so she says.
This may very well be true, but there might be more to it and that old man drinking next to them doesn't seem surprised by the fact.
He knows things about D, commented on Luffy's Destiny after seeing G5th.
I'm pretty sure the old man knows what the One Piece is.
We know a form of réincarnation is possible because of Joy Boy's prophetized return and his many iterations through the Eras.
I think Makino's baby is Ace's reincarnation.
Ace once unleashed Conqueror's Haki as a child, and its a possibility that he retained his memories from his past life hence not only recognizing Luffy but also reaching out for him from the posters. He wants Luffy to know he's there and he's ok.
I think that at some point, Makino's Baby a.k.a Ace.R(eincarnated) will unleash CoC when those people are threatened and it will protect that hometown and keep everyone safe either for a short moment until they're recovered or it will last a long time and keep everyone safe until the final fight is over.
Either way, its kinda weird that this kid is so attracted to Luffy, there's a difference between recognizing and enthusiastically reaching out for someone.
The owl will tell Chopper what was written in the books.
I think Luffy’s dream is to touch the sun. And the one piece is a giant piece of the sun.
@fiery path @lethal oak since this channel is for longer theories, could you both please elaborate and provide some in-story evidence/reasoning to support your ideas?
Oh yeah sure
Will we get a 2nd awk for luffys fruit cuz i dont think throwing rubber punches will do anything to imu
Rocks d xebec is dragons father and garp is dragons father in law
since this channel's for longer theories, could you please elaborate and share some in-story evidence/reasoning?
@sour nova don’t be unnecessarily rude. If you disagree about something in the theory, feel free verbalize it. Otherwise, don’t use this channel
Either Loki becomes nakama or StrawHats will have to sail away with giants on board, giving an excuse to upgrade Sunny to its final form now that they have access to the Adam's Tree
Yes, I believe Franky and The Owl in the library will play a part in making the sunny bigger
i think shanks a fruit that makes him able to see what will people end like(basically seeing the future) because when kid attacks beckman says "i guess he was a future he didnt like" and anotheer thing supports that kind of thing is the reason shanks saved luffy because he saw that he will be the key in final war and bring peace to the world
Shanks can swim, he has no devil fruit, when he defeated Kid he just used future sight like Katakuri
i forgot about future sight lol
my theory is getting more and more clear
Oh shit, you're actually cooking😭
its not headcanon,
Dolflamingo said the awakening occurs when one User and his fruit are synced and aligned.
Dolflamingo awakened his " string fruit " because his fruit allowed him to manipulate people, and Dolflamingo became also a manipulative perosn at the same time, so both fruit and user became the same and it allowed the awakening.
Luffy fighting for freedom and putting his line for it on Wano aligned him with " The Warrior of liberation" and allowed the awakening
The change Id personally make is I think its more likely Harald was asked to be the holy knight and gave in. The way loki reacts when gunko asks him to be a holy knight is as if thats his first time being asked. I think Harald prolly was gonna be one, or was one, and Loki ends up saving elbaf by killing him
What if the kids under caramel actually ended up being holy knights. This is the only panel I recall with this resemblence but look at the masked dude at the top and the dude at the very left they look rly similar, and also caramel was gonna sell them to the marines or sm so it could be that they eventually became holy knights
slide the link
i was about to say, you can share a link as long as you give like a short description what it is about
Except doflamingo never said that
There were many theories back then that those kids were the cp0 members
Makes more sense for them to be CP0 honestly
Ok I can't be the only one concluding that Imu has game master powers? The ability to assign rules to reality?
Seems like it especially after they showed the game board in last chapter.
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/1l3zr5q/imu_is_king_redacted_chapter_1150/ great theory from the melee reddit, top comment makes it even better
This makes a lot of sense tbh. Which also gives the SHs room to work. If the games have rules, that means you can play by the rules and win, so possibly they might be able to turn the giants back
I could see it but i hope it’s only an inspiration, like how son wukong is an inspiration for nika
yeah him or Kaido, don't remember, anyway, it does not invalidate my point
The process of Awakening is rather vague at this point in time, however, in the Wano Country arc, Kaido, one of the Four Emperors of the Sea, who was engaging in battle against Luffy, explained that Awakening only happens when the mind and the body of the user finally catch up with their Devil Fruit ability.
That's why I believe Kizaru did not awaken his fruit and never will, he is a lazy and slow minded character, while it need to be fast thinking and really speedy
Aokiji could have since he's kinda " cold blooded " anyway, and Akainu is as ruthless and has a destructive mind like his fruit, so he could have too
My current working theory is that Imu has what’s called either the Devil-Devil fruit or just straight up the Devil fruit. The contracts, lifespan removal, pentagrams, and soul corruption from Domi Reversi all fit classical demon powers and tropes. I believe the Go board was meant to just be symbolic and not a direct showing of Imus powers. Additionally it makes a nice parallel for the final fight between Luffy and Imu with a benevolent God and his angels (the straw hats, grand fleet, other allies) versus the Devil himself and his army of demon underlings
Additionally, having the power of the Devil himself would make sense as to why he was capable of copying Gunkos arrow-arrow fruit, as having the power of the Devil would allow him to channel the power of the Devil fruits, since they are rumored to be created or connected to the Devil himself
could be someone dreamed of being a devil to the world. Reflects Robin's Demon Form in a way of owning the label forced on you. Maybe Imu had a similar past of exclusion and trauma and it turned them into this cold ruler who wants immortality out of a fear of a profound fear of death.
That doesn’t mean you have to have a similar personality to your fruit. Catching up means being at the same level. I don’t get why so many people interpret “chatching up in body and mind with your ability” as “having the same personality as your fruit”.
Here is an alternate translation
Please note paramecias and logias aren’t even said to have a will of their own and at least paramecias can awaken. With no fruit will what are you supposed to match personality with?
Imu devil theory:
Imu is actually the devil summoned by a certain kingdom to face the highly developed ancient kingdom and joyboy, imu possessed the king of that kingdom but never left his/her body and continued to rule the world in shadows after defeating Joy boy. Imu erased the history since he doesn't want the world to know it's being ruled by the devil. The df's were developed by the ancient kingdom to counter attack the devil's powers. The first nika fought the devil but neither won and perished together.
Is it possible to have lord cobra as one of Imu's devil as we see what's happening in Elbaf?
since this is more of a question than a theory, please ask this in #manga-serious
I'm asking for theory
what if blackbeard's devil fruit the Yami-Yami no mi had a secret ability like law's fruit does(inifinite life surgery) that allows the user to surround a person in complete darkness at the cost of the user's life. in doing this, the person will turn evil. So, If this is true, then Imu was a good person at one point until they got turned evil by somebody corrupt who had the yami-yami no mi.
What if the next Cover Story we get is the Fullalead assault, with a Blackbeard interruption. 🧐
So much potential in that Battle alone; wouldn’t even need to show the New Seraphim if they’re interrupted by BB, could also use the Cover Story as a way to “off-screen” most of the Guerilla assault as well in Teach fashion.
Imagine Mihawk dying in a cover story right now
I feel like Sanji’s “Dream” about the All-Blue is about to end pretty soon, so it’d be pretty fitting for Zoro to lose his Dream as well- Since both of these goals are what’s ultimately holding them back from their Family.
Just a fun little thought that Oda would definitely consider atleast lol; esp after just granting Yamato Page-One and Ulti as retainers; after All of wano none the less.
with this, luffy would have to somehow find a way to remove the darkness around Imu to reveal her true self.
I think the control Imu has is more of a way to show all of their “Imperfectness”
By having such a “Godly Fruit” they’re allowed to manipulate anyone on their side, like a coin flip that will always end up tails.
Luffy on the other hand, has the fruit that doesn’t just Give him access to this “flip” but it’s Luffy’s own willpower that allows for it.
The fruit realized this as well and that’s why it chose him infront of Shanks; Roger’s “True” son.
The “D” in the end is gonna be this “Families” imperfections as a whole and the Smiles they use to cover it. Not until Dragon, whose name, belief, and even flag is irony in its own right, decided to put a stop to this for everyone’s future.
Dragons gonna have the most impactful backstory, because Ultimately it’s gonna be Luffy’s real backstory.
Just like we got Luffy’s right side, his “Yang” in Zoro. Where in Wano we learned his true backstory, and that he actually didn’t have that bad of a childhood.
WCI on the other hand with Luffy and his left side Sanji? The absolute “Yin” to Zoro’s “Yang”?
There’s a reason they call him Goda…
It’s time…
I can’t wait to watch a Real Dragon filet this “Celestial” Dragon.
The “Monster Trio”,
is about to become the “Godly Trio”.
so if they all three combine their attacks into one, they will be a lot stronger? Maybe if zoro and sanji have a way to give luffy haki or something to boost an attack or something idk?
that would be cool to see nonetheless
I think Zoro has been using his Eye scar as an unhealthy way to make himself stronger against Mihawk. Because all it has done is make him even less Vulnerable, Open, and Geologically aware lmfao.
so you think zoro can just open his other eye?
Sanji on the other hand has Always held himself back. Not hitting women, not using his hands to fight, and so much more.
End of the line is that neither of them have any Self-Respect; and until they learn this, they can never be at their 100% for their crew.
We see these exact same unhealthy traits Now in both Gaban and Rayleigh.
Honestly just knowing how stupid that meat bag is, Yes. And I think by that time in the story the Entire crew will be Mature enough to not care, and glad that Zoro is finally not holding himself back anymore.
Think about the outrage that’d cause with fans, but hey, moving on Is life sometimes.
Same thing with Sanji though???
Why is this “Number 3” not using his Hands- which he could Most definitely light on fire; knowing that he can with his feet due to his Passion in the fighting style. But he feels just as passionate about his Hands, as his feet, and Oda has told us this.
he could also just use his hands and feet at the same time maybe if that is possible?
There’s a reason Oda used a “Gay” Bon Clay to fight this ultra-womanizer in Sanji, and had them relate in such an absurd, but beautiful way.
Same thing with Kuma sending him to New Kama, Gaban being the “Minister of Love”, Sommers being such a juxtaposition to love in his own beliefs as a Celestial Dragon imbedded in the system.
So much emotional depth and thinking behind these characters, that you really never see until you step back, and take a look at yourself 🤔
Almost like there’s a reason One Piece has blown up so much in the US right now; with its relations to Christianity, Toxic relationships, and Father issues…
But even if you look at the story from Everyone’s point of view, these concepts are ultimately just Religion, Love, and Family…
We as people sure do love our Unhealthy coping mechanisms!
Everyone can, and do everyday. It’s just the Unhealthy ways that Sanji currently does it, that prevents him from truly Growing with his Crew.
For example; a main reason Sanji doesn’t hit Women, and we’re told this Time and Time again, is because he doesn’t respect himself.
And as a person, if you can’t respect yourself, you can’t respect those around you. Fictional or not.
also the fact that Sanji also threw out the raid suit which he should have kept imo.
EXACTLTY. FRANKY IS RIGHT THERE. WHAT THE FUCK.
There’s so much to explain there alone that just shows how much Wrong there still is with Sanji.
And I love the Man, no matter how much he pisses me off.
I also feel luffy might be holding himself back too by not knowing his devil fruit's true name and still calling it the Gum-Gum Fruit.
Maybe that’s why there’s so many “Sanji” and “Zoro” guys.
You need to be a Luffy to understand both sides to allow them to grow together 🤯
And even then Luffy still has a lot of Emotional trauma himself he Neglects for his Crews sake. Which is why he’ll probably have the last True backstory after maybe Nami?
But if anyone has taught him it’s okay to cry with your family, blood or not, it’s fucking Monkey D Luffy the King of the Pirates.
You’re right on the money my friend. Good thinking!
But even then, Luffy believes it’s the Gum Gum fruit so much, that Shanks lie literally came true in a Heartbeat inside luffy’s mind.
This is exactly why Shanks knew to trust Luffy IMHO.
maybe shanks will tell luffy the truth about his fruit which will make luffy stronger.
You don’t just Earn that trust, it’s either There, or it Isn’t.
And to be any kind of Leader those are the qualities you need, and by being a positive father influence in Luffy’s life, he was allowed to forget Dragon and grow into his Own Man, not the one his Grandfather, or even Dad wanted him to be.
And by Shanks refusing to be in Luffy’s life, even telling him he was never allowed on his crew, Luffy vowed to make a stronger one.
And those words from the Start were enough for anyone to see how beautiful of a story this would become.
Unrealistic Inspirations are Healthy. Because the real ugly true ones we see everyday are not something we learn from in the slightest.
Would love to see Shanks do this, but like everyone has already predicted I think the last step for Luffy to be his own person is Shanks to die.
Shanks shouldn’t tell Luffy anything, but Yasopp has the World to tell Usopp.
so have shamrock kill shanks?
Unrealistic Inspiration/Realistic Family.
One Piece in general?
Oh the lesson our boy is about to finally learn about Family
I could see shanks and luffy teaming up for shanks to die in the final war like how ace did in the war at marineford. then afterwards do another timeskip.
That or right when he and Shamrock unite as family against Imu, Blackbeard kills them and launches them into his own New World of Darkness.
Blackbeard would do that too.
Oh my god the Mural wasn’t the Past or Future, but the Present during each chapter release as we learn each step of the process 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
That’s Dragon on the Far Right attacking Mariejois, Imu in the Middle attacking Elbaph, and Teach on the left with the Reversi Fruit with his Titanic crew against the World.
so the final battle is luffy vs. blackbeard not luffy vs. imu.
That’s why there is all the Tattoos on the Dragon’s body! It’s follows a “Red Line” design like Monkey D Dragon!!!
The Middle is clearly Imu’s Reversi hybrid form.
And the left is Teach finally with his Third and Final “God” fruit?
To me, the entire point is that there “Isn’t” a final battle, because We will never have a “Final Battle”.
The story will remain with everyone forever, as long as people who understand, love, and respect the story can continue its Legacy.
One Piece Live Action, Toei, Wit, Lego, it never ending now.
maybe he kills and steals imu's fruit if imu has one
Like he did with the Last “Earth God” in whitebeard.
Maybe that’s why he thought he was putting on such a show? He really thought his captain had the “Earth God Fruit” but it was just the Gura Gura 😭
He literally broke up his own Family in the Whitebeard pirates, just for a chance to rule the world. Disgusting piece of Filth. Exactly why Newgate told that trash Roger wasn’t waiting for Him.
Luffy learned this all; never truly separated from family, but by his father being absent, he could focus on his own goals and be the Change the world needed, so they could truly start the New Dawn
maybe ig Brook awakens hs fruit, he can bring back people like whitebeard and roger from the dead or at least let luffy have a conversation with them.
That’s why Garp is so broken and just gave up on fullalead too. He kept trying to pull a Batman and replacing his Robin(Self-inflicted Emotional Trauma) Never having the space to fully heal.
Even just allowing Roger to see this new world he started would be enough to Luffy. Not even to mention how Ace would make him feel.
Maybe Brooks awakening is about to kickstart Luffy’s emotional nirvana? Fully unlocking Gear 5’s true potential?
With Sanji and Zoro becoming a complete Yin/Yang, Luffy would be allowed too as well.
It’s something the Three of them as brothers, hell Nami and Usopp as well, all have to come to understand as they raised this family from that Barrel.
Maybe Chopper being the only outsider during Elbaphs intro had a deeper meaning 😳
Let’s let the Doctor give some Family Therapy
I think allowing luffy to talk to roger or ace would be a good thing for him and would allow him to get things off his chest if luffy has anything.
Exactly, just the one chance to speak his mind to Ace about how stupid he was to die, or Father figure in Roger to leave everyone as well should be enough, especially considering they aren’t Blood.
Luffy’s gonna learn the Hard way just how much pain a father can Take, as well as Give, in the hardest way Possible 😭
I’m done thinkin about this ; ( I need my freedom fighters to show up already 🐉
But daaaaamn do I think we both had some good ideas @wise narwhal
Oh man poor Ace :((((
this lets zoro talk to kushina, sanji talk to sora, nami talk to bell-mere, robin talk to olvia, usopp talk to his mother, chopper talk to hiriluk, luffy talk to whitebeard roger and ace, jinbe to fisher tiger, brook can talk to his old pirate crew, and franky would talk to tom again. which could be healing for the whole crew.
Brooooo this Brook/Gunko relationship, with Imus powers, as well as how fast everything’s moving, these signs are Red Herrings for something Story Changing about to happen.
Don’t wanna say it feels like 2D2Y since Oda has been taking some much deserved rest, but there is No way it ends here, or even in the next 2-3 years tbh
ayo Revolutionary Koby when tho????
Literally the robins to Garps batman
I had a thought one time. what if luffy finds a rocketship on the last island or at least a way into space. He then uses it and find the planet that was home to the buccaneers or some other race wihch has it's own grand line and seas which are more tougher than the current planet they are on.
That would be fucking Hilarious dude, Orrr lowkey back in Jaya there is a “Father Storm Cloud” I belive,
Imagine if this was a Collection of the smartest Buccaneers who remained in the strongest cloud; far from the touches of Imu, who can’t touch sea water themselves.
The old men on Weatheria already do this.
Holy shit what if that’s the storm that blew past Nami after the crew split 🤯😳
Luffy and his crew in space would be funny to watch tbh. make the series go from pirate themed to space pirated themed.
Ay another thought I just had that ties the Earth God role to Imu even more is the Uranus connection.
By stealing the strongest Ancient Weapon from the Sky People; and remaining Atop the land where Poseidon from “Neptune’s” lineage, would eventually be born. Imu has control over a 2/3 god majority in this current world, rather than the old “Fair” ways of Four Even Gods.
Also the fact that the only light Fishman Island gets is directly from Mariejois is pretty tragic.
The Layers to this story are like the world’s biggest onion at this point.
It took me this long to realize that the Red Line is one giant ocean trench. The world is inside out. Explains why it’s hollow inside. Feel kinda dumb for never realizing. That might explain what Joyboy was apologizing about to the fishmen. Even explains Zoro’s sense of direction cause he’s going the correct way if the world were not inverted
it might be one reason why sun tree eve is producing so much light, the top of the tree is not in the redline, but far below fishman island. I don't know why this never occurred to me until you brought up inverse.
I also feel dumb for never connecting what the World Government symbol stood for. It's all pieces from the game Go where they're all flipped black. Imu and Joyboy have an unfinished game of Go for centuries. The board is currently mostly if not entirely black. But it's Joyboy's turn and just one piece will flip the entire board from black to white, flipping the world right side up. Imu has done everything possible to stop the game from progressing since they automatically lose to just one piece
I see, and that is why Roger knew everything had to wait. When it tilts so much in one side, Nika can flip the board. It might be why joyboy could have created the flooding, he saw that bigger picture.
my thought was that Nika is all about freedom, and we know Luffy loooves games and is very serious about winning by the rules. It's the only way to bind Nika under any rules, if I had to guess. So invite Nika to play a game, set everything up in your favor, and use the rules of the game to limit him while you cheat your ass off
also might be why everyone said Whitebeard could destroy the world. That power might be able to brute force the world right side out
I don't think imu was on par with joyboy, he literally trembled and got scared when joyboy haki released from emet
" Reverse mountain " you got it now ? 😉
It goes along with my theory that laugh tale is beneath reverse moutain ( as well with All blue )
sorry to ask but is this a mihawk upscale cuz joyboy/nika uses a sword
No, mihawk wasn't alive back then. Mihawk is the current strongest swordsman
Also, Imu isn't a mihawk upscale for using a sword (do we even consider a trident a sword?) Imu's power primarily comes from their whole yokai stuff they've got going on right now, the sword is an accessory to that. It doesn't make them a swordsman
Like, pretend g5 luffy is stronger than mihawk rn. That's not a mihawk upscale bc luffy used a sword once or twice, luffy isnt a swordsman. There's a difference between using a sword and being a swordsman, and it's about character perspective. Like, yes, technically Whitebeard used a sword, but people classified him as the strongest persond in the world. That's not a mihawk upscale, just because edward newgate used a sword, it does not mean he was nessecarily a swordsman. He primarily used his df powers to fight, not the sword. Mihawk is considered the worlds strongest swordsman by the people in one piece, he's stronger than other people that a majority know about and consider swordsmen, it does not mean he's stronger than every character who's used a sword.
Guys could mosa be Donquixote Mjosgard? Has anybody checked their speech pattern in japanese? Is it similar? It seems to be a possibility.
@sage copper Here is a theory on Mosa = Mjosgard by someone that also happens to be a fluent Japanese speaker. However, it seems they didn't mention any speech pattern similarities between the two characters, if there is supposed to be one
@versed hamlet Is the speech pattern of Mosa and Mjosgard same? Other than the situation do you have any other hints?
I have a theory, the One piece is a drawing of Joy boy , that’s why Roger laughed, as it’s said that Joy boy makes everyone laugh around him which might be a reference to why Roger would have laughed, The one piece isn’t that strong most likely so it’s nothing to serious
I think all OP fans know than the one piece is not something serious. Its likely something simple. Luffy's dream is also similar. Its childlike and beautiful
I know this is not popular. But Roger and his crew came from laughtale with detailed information about the future, this is a fact, they knew when it was going to be the appropriate time, that someone would come, about shirahoshi etc. They also seem to have seen Nika/Joyboy in action and laughter about his adventures. And Rayleigh told us they knew the whole history of the world, and I doubt the final island consists of a pile of books they sat and read. From this I think it’s not that hard to infer that whatever was in laughtale was something that allowed to look into the future and maybe the past too. If it was to the future they could have seen Luffy as joyboy and the treasure is being able to see all history, the hidden story of the world being a main point in the story, this makes a lot of sense. One prediction that people are making is that while Luffy will be the real pirate king , somehow Buggy will gain the fame, that would surely make Rogers crew laugh their asses off.
We might have gotten a sneak peak in Elbaph. We see the mural the children drew. We also see Gear 5 is also the form a young child would think of. A laughing cartoon who can pull out whatever he needs. A being without rules and bounces like a rubber ball. Laugh tale might be about this future, about the power of youth and dreams to create a future. Self-fulfilling destiny.
Sapphire scales is pretty clearly an invention of Imu. If nobody can see the sun then nobody can pray to the sun God.
If that happened I would laugh my ass too
My read is that Imu is absolutely not on par with joyboy, as joyboy is Imu's existential threat. Imu shaped the world to try and prevent a joyboy from ever emerging again, imo.
The way I see it is: Nika cannot be tethered down by reason, logic, or laws of reality; the only way to defeat someone like that is to figure out how to have them opt into something that limits them - for Luffy, that has consistently been shown to be games. And when rules are established he's determined to beat them, not break them. My assumption is that with Imu emerging victorious, it was due to exploiting a weakness like that for Joyboy
And the white warrior of liberation can flip any black piece (Imu's) to white. I always thought Luffy's secret power was making other people Nika-like, so for me this really connects that dot.
Not sure if this was thought about but do you think maybe Loki was reversi by IMU and killed Harold due to that instead of Harold being the one being under IMU control and could explain his rampaging and why shanks seemed to be the only one to stop him bcuz maybe he knows how IMUs powers work due to his family being so close to him
If Loki was already controlled by Imu then Imu would've likely killed Jarul when she had the chance
If Domi Reversi was used back then, I doubt there'd be any need to stretch everything out over 14 years. Also Loki would have to follow Imu's order and will which can't be true since he went to sea and became a pirate directly after killing Harald
Blackbeard ate a third DF; a mythical Zoan type
but then why do you believe imu says harald failed them ?
I would say he did something they didn’t like and decided to use Loki to kill him and take over similar to what is happening now with forcing the Giant Pirates to kill Jarul…not saying it’s full proof or has any legs just offering something for conversation…sometimes Oda likes to pull off twists to what seems like he is setting up…in the new chapter Loki not knowing the Haki from IMU probably tosses this out
Theres lots of interesting options with it. I may be going basic, but my guess is that Harald was trying to help Elbaf sincerely, and at some point met the holy knights/imu and was given an offer. Whatever that offer was, seemed to be good for Elbaf, but he had to be a holy knight. He was turned into one, and then Loki finds out somehow and kills him as the only option. Then Imu considers Harald a failure
I have another crazy thought…Do we think the fruit Loki got is the actual Gum Gum fruit and that’s why he thinks he will be the sun god? Seems like all nations or tribes that know about Nika knew about the rubbery way he seemed…also could be why only he can handle the Hammer bcuz it produces lightning so much it hurts the user unless they were rubber
Oh yeah
That doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist
you guys think blackbeard shows up on elbaf?
Unlikely IMO. Too soon for Luffy and Blackbeard to meet
And besides BB is plotting on Marijoa it seems.
Marijoa burning reference by Imu probably involves either BB or the Revolutionary or both
Who do you guys think the next straw hat will be
Assuming there is a new one
Bonney feels like gonna be the newest one. If there is a new one. They dont have a apprentice role and she fits since she's basically multi-roled.
I was hoping someone said that, I’ve been thinking the same exact thing lol. I also could see the vegapunk Lilith joining also. Both Bonney and her have been accompanying them so far in elbaf . Then there’s Loki but it’s to soon to tell with him.
Yeah plus Devon has Saturns identity now, not sure how much that will aid them... perhaps they can use the black abyss to warp around with it? who knows
It was mentioned by Saturn in 1103 chap when he mentioned that white form of nika hasn't been connected with bonney internally yet. So, I assume Luffy should be able to power up someone like imu.
yeah that was one of those observations that stuck with me. Been trying to figure out the black/white motif for a while, whiffed entirely on their use of the game during Wano, etc. You think it could be a conscious thing he learns, or something he inspires in people?
Devon is gonna get screwed by gorosei or imu as they don't know saturn is gone and they try to clone him to try entering in castle
Most likely one of power ups he will get in this arc beside learning how to kill immortals with haki
do the other gorosei even know saturn is dead? I know it’s assumed but it was never outright stated to them
Yeah I was thinking he'd figure out he can revert his friends back to normal for this arc, and then eventually how to make the whole world Nika-like
yeah when garland declared himself as new science god/elder
aot like god creature exists very very long ago
imu took its power and wanted to rule the world
joyboy also stole some powers to fight imu
joyboy lost, split his power and threw away everywhere in the form of devil fruits
df users drown, because joyboy wants to remind them the original purpose of eating df
shanks and rogers dont want df users coz they dont wanna follow joyboy, their intention is different
idk
I believe luffy dies at the end
Listen, joy boy dies at the end of his story so does Nika maybe. Not only that using gear 2,4 and 5 takes his life span. It is also stated Luffy could die, passing on his dream or ideals to the next generation — much like Roger, Whitebeard, or Ace. And Luffy’s vow to never die until he becomes Pirate King may foreshadow that he will die after reaching that goal — once he’s fulfilled his promise. Last but not least Roger reached Laugh Tale, found the One Piece, and died soon after. Luffy is often considered Roger’s spiritual successor. If the story mirrors Roger’s journey, Luffy might also die after fulfilling his Will of D.
Yall agree. Or not agree
I believe that scopper might be kureha's son . With kureha being 141 years old and gaban likely being under 80 it wouldn't be too crazy of a theory. Not to mention that they both sport similiar glasses and are both good with dual wielding weapons ( kureha with her knives and gaban with his axes) . Kureha also mentions Roger's real name and the will of D something that her son could have told after maybe coming back for a visit since we see in the cover story that gaban did visit reverse mountain during the timeskip , whose to say he couldn't have stopped by drum island. Also Gaban's epithet is mountain eater , a title he could've earned by chopping mountains on drum island.
Yeah Its possible they will get screwed, I hope its something more than that for the effort that was gone into setting it up.
Hopefully also we get the reveal of Laffitte devil fruit ability and what they are about.
Big fan of blackbeard pirates, can't wait to see the fight between blackbeard and luffy
There definitely some resemblance to them. And the mountain eater theory could work.
There is potential considering Queen being Franky's dad is also a heavily implied thing and they like alot of resemblances even in cover pages
They needed saturn to control the seraphim imo.
Anything above would have been discovered a long time ago
How was that heavily implied? Any examples? He was in mads before he became a pirate.
oh yeah what happen to them? where is the doflamingo seraphim?
they were sent by akainu to handle something (s-flamingo, s-croc and s-gecko)
Hear me out:
the D in every name doesn’t have a specific meaning, I think it’s everyone that is directly blood related with joyboy
My second theory:
joyboy didn’t die, joyboy was getting too old and couldn’t let Imu get any kind of chance to get ahold of his power, so Joyboy made himself a devil fruit, he gave a trusted person most likely queen lily since she was the one that spread the poneglyphs and probably hid the devil fruit in a very sacred spot so Imu couldn’t find it. The thing about the Gomu Gomu no mi might be, since when a person eats a devil fruit some kind of spirit takes it over so there can’t be a second devil fruit, but instead of the spirit in the hito hito no mi it’s Joy boy spirit, and assoon as the user of the devil fruit dies, Joy boy takes the body over for a short time unlocking gear 5 and revives the user of the devil fruit again, so the requirement to unlock the hito hito no mi is too die so joyboy can take the corpse of the user revive the person and activate gear 5 , I think the first few seconds we saw of luffy unlocking gear 5 when he was starting the smile was joyboy , he then revived luffy
Do people agree that Nika fruit may have been inspired in some way from a child? The cartoon powers, the innocent joy, and rubbery powers..ect. Perhaps this devil fruit....or all devil fruits are imaginations from kids, but at least Nika is. That takes me to Imu. Imu as people have made comparisons to classic devil images, as well as the devil from Cuphead. Imu is also playing games with his powers. What if Imu is a child? Or perhaps a stunted adult? What if you took joyboy when he was young, but he got treated like Doflamingo. Somebody isolated, treated badly, perhaps only had 1 friend in their lives who may have been taken from them. What if this child had the opportunity to create a devil fruit. The cartoonish over the top devil. We SEE THIS THEME over and over in one piece. Demon Child Robin, Hodi getting corrupted in his youth, Doflamingo's lost of innocence childhood. Whereabouts we see the D clan time after time uniting those cast aside, forming bonds and hope. Luffy vs Imu in the end is just two beings who are still children at heart, one who wants a world where everybody is friends, and one who wants the world to reflect the childhood of domination and hatred they grew up in.
Dunno, but since York doesn't have punk record anymore and is cut off from the knowledge about the Seraphim, it's possible she won't be able to reprogram them to fit the new Gorosei, thus, Catarina impersonating Saturn might lead to BB having control over the pacifista and the Seraphim. Being " gorosei level " the order won't be able to be overwritten by any other Gorosei, and thus, BB would have the total control of the Military might of the WG. This is the ultimate move he was aiming for and a golden opportunity that nobody could counter in any shape or form. Add to that ancient weapon or whatever + is ace card we do not know about, the WG is toasted
Do you guys think Bonney have ultimate authority over S Bear as vegapunk said he would not let any clone of kuma not harm Bonney?
I don't think seraphim would be controlled by BB in any significant fight including WG, even if they do it would be for very short period
I want to add something too this,
Like we know devil fruit users get sick when they get near laugh tale, this might be a curse Joy boy puts , since the spirit inside the devil fruit users might be against joy boy in some way, the except luffy , since he doesn’t have any kind of spirit but joy boys spirit, W or L theory?
I personally think Joy boy was a slave that’s why he is all freedom and likes to bring joy to people so they don’t experience the same thing
Yes, although the conquerors haki throws me off a bit, there is something about it which makes me think it carries the blood of ancient royalty (although that doesn't mean your lineage is immune to later slavery.) JoyBoy might also have been similar to Oden, in the sense he was a royal who did what he thought was right, have their own goals or for just amusement. We see Loki not too dissimilar.
Im not too sure abt the thing I say is gonna be right but but, conq Haki could also be achieved by having a strong will , Luffy wants to become king of the pirates - conq haki
Zoro wants to become the strongest swordsman - conq Haki….
I think conq haki isn’t something that is passed by blood by more of the will of the person and its dreams
It's possible, though I think the evidence we have seen has said you cannot develop the ability to use conq haki, you have to be born with it. You can however develop that natural gift.
why that? I don't think anyone can stop them RN
Because that fight most likely would also include gorosei at this point of time they are becoming more active who would also be able to command seraphim
I dont think the gorosei could override catarina devon
York would most likely reprogramme seraphim to follow new member of gorosei. You said York doesn't have punk record anymore, you are clearly wrong she does have access to punk records as mentioned by other clones of VP
we dont know if York would be able to program them, how long that would take, were the labs damage...ect. I believe the seraphim were taken off the island currently.....so if York did reprogram them, that would be interesting, but also a good chance that could take a long time. We just don't know. Vegapunk had spent some time on getting them working.
Subtle change like that shouldn't take that much time
it could, it might require authority from the world government to alter, and they have their hands potentially busy. I mean even Imu has to step in and help now since things are getting stretched thin.
It's also same for devon
it is convenient in the story that the only person who knows the serphim could be commanded by somebody on blackbeards crew now, and it can't be overriden easily....is dead. Loopholes have been closed.
It may also setting stage for BB crew get into trap. Sorry It's just that I feel final antagonist would be Imu not BB
Yeah, I am not saying blackbeard could take over the entire world with serphim or anything, but it could create headaches. And I still don't know exactly what Blackbeard is. Perhaps he is the mirror that Imu was for Joyboy. Imu def. has the cartoon villain angle going, but something is more interesting with BB for sure to me.
They have god knights, admirals, gorosei and Imu himself [Seraphim too] weaker of them can take on 1st commander lvl and even Emperors for some time. Even Luffy to take them on he would need to get all the help he can get from all the allies he got through his journey.
well, the marines are split up, some in marineford, across the sea, and a couple on the redline. The gods knights are strong, but small numbers. My theory is still BB has a reason for wanting a highly captured marine. I dont think he wants a real negotiation as I ahve stated in the past, but what he wants is Marineford 2.0. This time, the admirals and serphim feel like enough to take down the blackbeard pirates, but if the serphim suddenly switch, the marines are complete toast. Shattered, BB now can negotate with the WG on supreme terms. The marines broken and maybe even feeling betrayed by a BB/WG deal, eventually side with Luffy.
Imu careless about marines, he would most likely bombard BB with Uranus if the situation told by you came into being
its possible, imu attacks BB who has setup shop next to red line...could lead to its destruction.
It was also mentioned by gorosei once that time for great cleansing has come. That's why I think is one of the reason every member of WG seem more active now
oh for sure, they know a war is coming fast. That is why they want the giants, they clearly see them as an ancient force that can turn the tide. During the void century, we dont know exactly what the giants did, though they seemed to be a dominant and violent force along the grand line. Perhaps the WG is ensuring it is 100% on their side.
Imu clearly saw Egghead as a way to help ensure their victory, and the gorosei and a buster call could not defeat one pirate crew. Although there is nuance....Imu doesnt really care it seems, it was a failure in many ways aside from the mother flame.
The way he change someone very nature and personality why would he even care for such things. Only thing that may oppose his power is either Nika fruit or BB yami yami no mi if his devil powers comes from a devil fruit which would be nullified if BB comes into contact with Imu himself
depends on if his powers have limits. Are elbaph giants decended from a pack of demons, and do they have a bloodline that allows imu to take advantage? Does have a devil fruit make you immune to the devil, unless you make a new willing pact? For all we know, Imu cannot leave his castle, which may reveal some other ways to limit his power.
If BB gave them order first throug Catarina's saturn guise, the other gorosei are toast since they can't overwrite the previous order of the same level of authority
Same goes for devon
? That's why I said " if she gaves order first " if she does not, then they are toasted, but at this point its leaning toward BB's and Catarina's element of surprise. They could raid Egghead and its GG for them
What if Devon could not even command them. we even don't know how does Seraph takes order from someone. Is it solely based on their appearence, their bloodline or something else we don't know
I think it's going to work since the BB 's pirate went specifically on egghead for a way to counter or control the Seraphim after BB mets them on Kuja Island, and Catarina fell upon Saturn which was unexpected and something more than what they were searching.
They're gonna try, they just have to raid a specific island and wait the WG to dispatch the Seraphim there, and if it works, the WG will lose all of their seraphim in one swoop
We don't know why they went for egghead. It could also be due to they may be someone planning against WG after they got knowledge from Caribou about ancient weapon. When they went for egghead, they had no knowledge if Saturn would be even there when they already knew Straw hats pirate were fighting against marines
we do know once catrina touched saturn they said the mission was complete. They may not have known saturn himself would be there, but they mentioned him being their made their mission quite easier.
And they left right after. They didn't need a map, plan, or stuff, they just needed someone's guise , so , someone's Authority through disguise.
So its perfectly safe to say that they needed that to either control the seraphim / pacifista, or use Saturn's authority elsewhere
One other thing, BB was interested/fearful of the pacifista power when he engaged them the first time. He seemed to have general knowledge of how pacfista's operate, but was surprised this lunarian kid was one. The other thing is he saw Koby command them to stop attacking, so at that moment confirmed to him exactly how to take control over them.
And if you just link the dots, Catarina and Augur were there long enough to witness Saturn's authority over pacifista. thinking about it, they never went on eggehead thinking they'll end up on Saturn's, but his presence was enough for their plan, so, without Saturn's presence, outside of having Pacifista's control chip, I don't know why they would be there , being only two, but to steal something to protect them against the pacifista / Seraphim
because they wanted to get vegapunks authority, and they know the 5 elders rarely leave the red line. Finding the highest authority in a heap on the ground was super lucky....which is typical for a BB plot
. We don't know exactly the mechanics of authority, like I dont think orders over a snail works, you might have to be in the general area using your actual voice.
oh, snail does not work
which is a blessing for BB, because the Gorosei
1- Don't know Saturn's guise was taken
2- Are never behind a pacifista or a Seraphim when they are dispatched
3- Don't even think they'll be stolen by BB at some point.
BB strength is the Gorosei's weakness. He can be in direct contact with the Seraphim , give them order. Gorosei are most of the time in their sanctuary and dont move
correct, and with the WG struggling, the seraphim are likely on missions, not ready to hang back in a lab for awhile for reprogramming that may not be urgent in their mind.
He juste have to wreak havoc somewhere to the point the WG will dispatch the pacifista and he'll control them all in one sweep and the WG will just cry after
if York can reprogram them. It's possible that she doesnt have the knowledge anymore since she's cut off from Punk Records.
My theory last year was that BB is going to make trade negotiations with Marineford, handing over Garp, but both sides are being deceptive. The Marines may seek to betray BB, by having admirals and seraphim there (as either backup or the main force to rid themselves of their BB problem.) BB really just wants an excuse to get close to marineford, and to get the navy in one spot. BB gets control of the Seraphim, and Marines fold quickly. Sakazuki potentially saved by Koby, becoming an admiral. As we see, Sakazuki's loyalty is so shaky right now to the CD.
You‘re right
Just fight Luffy. That tends to do the trick.
I think it would make for a crazy final fight is Blackbeard sitting on the empty throne at Mary Geoise and luffy gets there - then the final fight begins. While I do think it might be Imu... it would also be fitting if its blackbeard
Would Imu join in?
If this were to happen it'd be interesting if Imu senses their Haki and hurries down similarly to how Road did when his space was being invaded
Blackbeard is going to third party the IMU and NIKA fight, it's in his fav number. 3 skulls, 3 scars on Shanks, 3rd party on the God fight
He never takes a fair fight, even if IMU would win, he hits the opportunist vibes
I have a theory about what happened with the sun in the second age.
Imu is in possession of that very same, albeit dead, sun and has been the past 800 years. It's their engine for all of their powers. It also functions completely the opposite in this form. Originally it was like a miracle tech that likely made the world post-scarcity (infinite food for everyone!). But the sun collapsed into a black hole, metaphorically.
The reason the World Government demands tribute from all the nations is because that void needs to be constantly fed, destroying all those resources in the process. It creates scarcity as a natural byproduct. That's why I think the sun's original form was a reality warping object.
Imu has the inverse version that instead eats dreams. It also needs fuel in order to tap into its powers, meaning Imu can only afford to power up a handful of goons at a time. The power granted is contingent on enough consistent sacrifice, which would explain why only a precious few seem to be blessed by Imu's gifts under normal circumstances.
[I wonder if the Celestial Dragons are like emergency food for Imu when they don't have anymore coal to shovel in 🤔]
Anyway the sun was probably limitless in contrast, creating a byproduct instead of requiring fuel. My guess is it produced what are currently fossilized clouds. I think DF's are the evidence that proves it's limitless as well. Logia types seem to have no limit to how much of their element they can produce freely and at will. Places can be permanently changed (Enies Lobby, long ring long land, punk hazard etc). The fruits persist beyond death.
Guessing that Imu thinks recreating the mother flame will restore it back to how it was, too, since that would make them a true god instead of a loser imposter
One of the more recent SBS tells that Queen had a child before joining. I forgot about the others
They even have same pose on two covers and same position. It's again another one of those like the goat + luffy, buggy, shanks and bb picture which ended up as the final 4 yonko
I think Imu and BB are destined to fight.
I think BB is a survivor of God Valley and witnessed something - maybe Imu appeared to take control of the situation and fighting Xebec or something. Thats why the island disappeared because everything tied to Imu , including witness, should've been erased.
After all, Gunko should've been there too probably
Yeah that would make for great fight - The Abyss vs BB Darkness / Quake
can we (de)confirm Harald's "Miserable Failure" Imu speaks of be that he was supposed to get the Nika fruit from Shanks?I find it much more likely it's just that the giants should've been all inverted into demons years ago (though how could Harald fail? Is it simply bc Loki defeated him?)
the non-crack theory is Harald had to do something but Loki realised the plan and stopped Harald before the plan was executed, of course
I see it as: Harold making a deal/allying with imu/WG for whatever reason -> loki learning about this and wanting to stop it -> they fight -> loki wins and kills harald -> harald being killed is his "failure"
Im not really sure how Harald getting the nika fruit from shanks would make any sense
I have a theory about All blue
Fish man is island is just below the Red line (right the opposite of Mary Goiea)
And we know all if all the Seas will merge together
All blue will form .
So the water that surrounds the Fishman island is the combination of all the sea currents of 4 seas and we know that Sanji never Mentioned about All blue after Post time skip.
So most probably He already knew that
TL;DR: Captain John's treasure will be important, and he's also Kureha's son/grandson
I believe we have yet to see the last of former Rocks crewmember Captain John, more specifically, I believe his treasure (which he hid in a secret cave which his armband leads the way to) will, along with several riches, also contain something that could provide Cross Guild with some sort of leg up on the other crews, or at least provide them with something that the other crews have
My ideas so far are pertaining to the poneglyphs. Perhaps it's a rubbing of the last poneglyph? Perhaps it's a poneglyph translator? rubbings of the other 3 lode poneglyphs? Regardless, I believe Buggy's quest for captain John's treasure will serve to benefit the Cross Guild. The how and why are up to your own headcanon, but I'm sure Buggy will fail upwards once again
Oh and for the Kureha thing:
- I mean look at them
- John is described as greedy, and while Kureha isnt flat out greedy, the way she comes across to others is indeed very greedy, which might be the more surface level interpretation John picked up as a kid
- Kureha mentioned something about "following dangerous people" while comparing Luffy to Roger. This likely means she has experience with "following a dangerous person", which could be Roger, but given we know so many of Rogers crewmates already (and the fact he later got Crocus as a doctor) I think its more likely she followed a different dangerous person - namely Rocks. But if it was Rocks, where was she during God Valley? Was she just staying back while everyone else was fighting? Personally, I don't believe she was ever a Rocks member. But I believe she knows the dangers of following dangerous people because she saw her own son/grandson end up in that exact danger
Also about her knowing about the D in Roger's name, I saw a comment in a GLR video mention that it could be possible the mountain doctor Roger and Scopper went to see was Kureha. If thats the case then itd make sense for her to know his real name, and probably also get a bit fond of him during his stay. She mightve even been the one to diagnose Roger in the first place - directing him to Crocus who lived just a few islands away. Why did she not join as their doctor innthat case? Well, because she knew the dangers of following dangerous people
theory about imu
so imu backwards is umi and umi is sea or ocean in Japanese
there is also a Yōkai that has the name Umibōzu and it's said "umibōzu appears to sailors on calm seas which quickly turn tumultuous."
all depictions of umibōzus also all show them in pure black silhouettes exactly like every time we see imu
all these things just seem pretty convenient and that's why i think when we eventually do get the imu reveal it might be based off a Umibōzu or have a DF with it's abilities
yeah umibozu had been speculated for a while
I have a theory that the 6 devil fruits at god valley were buggys chop chop fruit gecko morias shadow shadow fruit Hancock's love love fruit black beards dark dark fruit kaidos fish fish fruit Kuma's paw paw fruit
And they were all given to CDs to be in the inner circle but once god valley happen they made their way through the one piece world, they all have importance to the story and so do the users of the fruits, I have alot of evidence but let me know what you guys think
Crazy theory Brooks devil fruit will awaken save Gunko is devil fruit will awaken to save her life
What’s the evidence?
@cerulean surge given that this channel’s for long theories, do you have any evidence/reasoning you’d like to share? Or is this just an idea?
@opaque breach please ask questions about ideas like that in #manga-serious . If you have a proper theory about it you’re more than welcome to share it here
Narratively and also the fact that every other straw had needs an upgrade it's one logical idea where Oda can go next also I might have just thought of it when I was a little bit sleep deprived so it could just be ramblings of my crazy brain side
lol, but Brook hasn’t dealt with possessions before I think. Is there any base ability he has that you think will be amplified/upgraded when Brook awakens?
Since Luffy awaken his devil fruit the rest of the crew would have to awaken their devil fruit soon in order to be a match for the final war as well so just the theory either oda's going to see this and say damn it or who knows
Old song they used to sing Bing sake or who knows
Wdym? How does that relate to undoing possession?
These are all theories either it's crazy and therefore Oda's going to work in somehow or they make no sense and he's just laughing at us either way we buy the manga
Okay 👍
If you have any more shorter thoughts/ideas you’re welcome to share it in #manga-serious and (if you want) brainstorm ways it could be possible. But here we’re looking for people to substantiate their claims/theories the best they can. It can be wrong (and most will be), but that’s part of the fun. So keep that in mind when you’re sharing things moving forward
I haven’t seen if anyone else has discussed it before, but a personal theory I’ve always had is that the Yeti Cool Brothers, an unknown species of giants who are much larger than the actual giants species, could very well be related to the Florian triangle monsters that we saw at the end of Thriller Bark.
I originally was gonna open with how we saw similar silhouettes in Jaya but after realizing those are merely the silhouettes of the sky people (also supported by the wings and spears they possess), and the fact that Luffy gets a very similar treatment, that’s out of the table.
I don’t have image perms yet but the anime AND the digitally colored manga does depict them with red eyes and we know Rock and Scotch also possess red eyes. We aren’t exactly sure how gigantic those Florian Triangle monsters are but considering they significantly dwarf Lola’s ship just from a far distance, and how the brothers easily dwarf Franky with just one hand, I think it’s safe to say they could be the same height. Or Rock and Scotch could just be smaller than the Florian Triangle monsters, potentially younger or something else.
Anyways that’s my epic gamer theory, I dunno if it’s actually original or not but I did try looking it up and didn’t find anyone else discuss it sooo yeah
What I think the One Piece is all about:
First, the title One Piece in Japanese ワンピース(WaN Pi-su).
Arguably you could stretch it to わたし/私/watashi/(ワ/wa)
の(no)/ン(n)
ピース(pi-su/piece).
Watashi translated to "me" or "I", in this context "my".
No is a possession noun adding to the "my" as in to who does it belong? To me.
Pi-su usually translate to Piece like the piece of a puzzle but could be referring to something else such as peace.
"My Peace" could be a reference to Luffy's dream that requires him to become Pirate King to have a chance to make it a reality. This is too simple to my liking and only a part of it imo.
"My Piece" holds more ground, such as "You've been talking for a while and now its my turn to give my piece about this topic".
"My take/opinipn/though/piece".
How could I support it? Glad that you asked!
We have seen through the story time and time again that if even the weakest members of the crew weren't there then the drean wouldn't be possible. All of those adventures would of ended either lost or in total failure, not just the crew but also everyone they encountered.
Part 1, part 2 after the cooldown
Part 2 (cooldown over)
Every single person Luffy encountered, he helped only after they asked for help. Not just his help, asking for help in general.
Luffy pushes people to impose their ambitions into the world, affirming their own dreams, making them say what they have to say and try when they're otherwise too cowardly to do so.
We can see it in the crew but also in Coby and even Helmeppo.
We can see it in what type of princesses Shirahoshi and Vivi have become, the slight personality changes he had on Ace and Sabo.
We could see Dorry and Broggy find harmony in their individual Pieces, falling together like a Puzzle.
We could see it in Gin who saved Don Krieg and found new loyalty.
How Mononosuke became a great leader because of this encounter.
Within the crew, every single one pledged to serve their own best self interest not Luffy.
We can see it when Whitebeard finally decided to acknowledge that The One Piece is real after seeing Luffy's CoC and made his crew pledge to help him, finally confirming that its real. I think Whitebeard was also speaking to us directly.
"One Piece" is "My Piece". Everyone has to be their own person with their own ambitions and dreams, everyone has to take their chances and conquer their fears and self-imposed limitations.
And everyone can do this in full respect of one-another like Whitebeard's and Shanks' crews.
War isn't needed, its evil incarnate and people that know their piece and expresses it healthily don't feel a need to wage wars unless said dream is mindless masses in ex: Doflamingo, Kaido, Crocodile, Imu, Wapol(?).
Hmm but would that be luffy's piece or joy boy's or oda's? Kinda weird that it would be something that changes depending on who finds it
It sounds too spiritual to be something found at a particular location
Every single character's Piece, together.
Without Usopp, the Going Merry was impossible and Thriller Bark too. Both of those moments needed Usopp's piece.
Without Nami's piece, navigating would be impossible.
Without Robin's piece, getting poneglyphs wouldn't happen.
All of their dreams, all of their pieces, individually, everyone Luffy ever encountered was required.
Its a piece that influenced other pieces to action and pursue their own.
Without a single one of those individual pieces, nothing works
One piece isn't just the series name tho, it's also referred by characters inside the story. Doesn't make much sense to me that Roger would be referring that treasure to "my piece"
The One Piece treasure is inherited will, Laugh Tale had no treasure that's why Roger Laughed.
Or maybe Laugh Tale and Roger's treasures are all this specific knowledge, Joy Boy's realization written on the one last Poneglyph.
All of this represented by the All Blue and state of the world.
But if ur talking about watashi, the it means that piece belongs to a single individual, otherwise it'd be oretachi piece lol
That would make sense, but that might be the point.
"WAN' could be a red herring translation pun and (I think? ) Oda likes puns
Interesting, I guess that could make sense...
When people asked oda if one piece could be "the friendship we made along the way" oda did say it would be nothing close to that sort of thing. Makes me kinda skeptical it's gonna be some kinda of deep philosophy stuff
OP is definitely getting spiritual too, always was with Ineherited Will and Haki translating as Will.
Mihawk calling Luffy's influence(piece) being the strongest power in the world at Marineford.
We're here fighting possibly the Devil that forced Dorry and Broggy's pieces to change literallt and metaphorically
What was the word he used for influence ?
Yea I'm not talking about the power of friendship, though itd very close to that.
I'm talking about having the courage to be true to ourselves, each individually, in respect of all others doing the same.
A world of true harmonious individuality
Not exactly influence, but its implied as such
This quality is him freeing their desires to be themselves
I'm not saying u said, I'm saying it would be nothing simular to that
I understand but I'm not referring to some Wizard Of Oz type stuff.
Its something more pure, more raw, less fluffy
If u say so 😅 it feels like they are in the same category for me
That's because I lack the proper words to convey what I mean, but I'm confident in my take.
I’m a little more skeptical of this idea that “the One Piece isn’t any actual object.” Oda himself has already said that it is a real tangible reward and I doubt he’d pull his words on that. Even privately in Oden’s journal, it’s referred to as a vast treasure.
The first thing for my theory you need to know is that I believe logia awakening allows you to transform others into what you are.
I believe Imu and Nika/Luffy are connected, perhaps devil fruit siblings, because both have similar powers but contrasting themes.
One dark; other light.
One black; other white.
One enslavement; other freedom.
I believe they have the trifecta of powers in one:
- Zoan awakening=transform themselves
- Paramecia awakening=transform environment
- Logia awakening=transform others
We see examples of 1) in gear 5 and Imu’s weird appearance back in Mariehoe; Examples of 2) Luffy rubberizing and Imu’s summoning circles; 3) Luffy transforms enemies into himself (rubber) and makes everyone have cartoon eyes, Imu transforms others into himself (demon) OR when Luffy summons/creates goggles and imu creates a gun
I think the board shown of reversi with the black and white pieces is a reference Oda gave us of the nature of their powers. They are the handlers of the board. They manipulate their “reality” however they see fit. Both with similar powers to control all around.
And to finish of, I believe BB is trying to achieve this sort of godhood, by he getting this trifecta of powers in other ways. BB is essentially trying to reach godhood. If he gets all 3 types of devil fruits and he awakened them, his powers mimic those of Imu and Nika
Yes I have evidence I tried posting the whole thing I wrote but I don't have the nitro or whatever so I have 1900 too many characters but I have eviddenden!!
You can always post it in parts like others have. Alternatively, if this is something you posted on reddit or someplace you can share the link to it and people can read it at their leisure
So Crocodile could turn others into sand?
He can already do that. Turning them back is the issue
What do yall think about shanks being possessed by imu to use domi reversi on harald at elbaf, and he gave his arm away to prevent it from happening again
I don’t understand, are you saying Imu has done it before? Are you saying Shanks was a Holy Knight 20-ish years ago?

If giving away an arm would stop domi reverse then brogy wouldnt be a demon, right
imu did it via a mark on shanks' arm
it's more of the possession aspect like what imu has done to gunko
I dont think imu would let shanks stay in the east blue for a couple years with the nika fruit
Idts logias have been shown to manipulate the environment as shown with punk hazard (aokiji vs akainu)
But Luffy is zoan, it doesn’t make sense. If that was logia awakening, most logia awakenings would only serve as defensive, because what’s the point in turning someone else into your element? For them to gain the defensive logia traits? Because otherwise it would be insta kill. It makes no sense that the only use for akainu for example of awakening is to share his power with others. We have seen an example of two admirals fighting and they left punk hazards weather permanently altered. That’s most likely the logia awakening, permanently altering an environment, and it would explain a lot of weirdness in OP world.
*Mythical Zoans might have logia and paramecia aspects to them, i.e Marco's Pheonix fruit allowing him to dissipate as fire or take form of bird.
also healing
Yes, but Luffy has no logia elements, the only logia element would be turning others and that’s one of the theory’s assumptions. The basis for the theory is its own assumptions then.
Luffy's element would be freedom of Spirit, breaking contracts. Liberation. He IS the Sun God.
That’s a huge stretch. So far we haven’t seen anything that can make us think Luffy has logia like powers.
Red Hawk's fire, Creating baseball bat and goggles out of thin air, shining white
Red Hawk is with friction, He didn't create a baseball bat he bite a palm tree to the shape of a baseball bat, goggles out of thin air was with his hair was for a gag like the paint bucket for the bat, he is a zoan
If Shirahoshi is Poseidon (basically neptune) and we have Pluton (pluto) and Uranus ....im thinking they are all people. Enel could be Uranus, and Frankie could be Pluton or turn into Pluton with the schematics as Frankie said he was his own final battleship. If all the elders are the inner planets, why do the ancient weapons need to be actual weapons....but rather why not people?
How do you think Luffy gets fire from Red Roc? Could it be friction too?
ya probably
Who would Uranus be?
Enel, Uranus is traditionally God of the Sky
This would be a great way to bring Enel back. I'm anticipating it'll be dramatic anyway
makes sense with the planets themes too. All the elders are planets, Shirahoshi is poseidon which in greek would be neptune
Yeah + how Enel has been shown to foreshadow whatever Imu used on Lulusia
is enel being on the moon canon or just a coverart picture
cover storys are canon
