Bb is a buccaneer
I think it’s going to address the ancient kingdom and its downfall by the forces that would become the WG.
me too, seems like the "big secret" that's been hinted about during most the series. also it narratively makes sense for it to be something like this because if it amounted to a big betrayal/exposes WG + CDs as frauds it could spark a big global rebellion to work with dragon. and spark up the "big final war" Oda has teased number of times
Right. I think he’s going to cover what made the ancient kingdom such a threat to the WG forces that it would merit wiping them out and imposing a ban on even researching it.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Joyboy’s history/promise to Fishman Island is tied into the end of the ancient kingdom
Hush
- Ancient weapons 2. First ancient civilization3. Sun god nika
ya i've noticed a weird popular theory from people that VP will reveal something we already know and i think this is silly as hell that people are suggesting that.
we know the WG has genocided ohara, genocided the buccaneers, ordered the destruction of their top scientist and arguably one of their most valuable assets Vegapunk, ordered a CP0 agent to death just to help Kaidou with Luffy and continue hiding the secrets of Nika/Joyboy.
the WG has a secret we've received hints it has something to do with the "big lie" that formed their govt in the first place and it suggests that hte lie is so big that WG makes it priority numero uno to protect it. so if Vegapunk is gonna give us some big secret it makes perfect sense that the secret is whatever they've been hiding not something silly like Imu or the existence of Nika.
yes only way i see joyboy being mentioned because we know Joyboy had something to do with the void century. him and the promise of his return
vp: hey guys imu sits on the throne 90% of you don't even know anything about
entire world: k?
Joy boy had the ancient weapons correlate
I can’t imagine VP’s revelation has anything to do with Nika. Topically, only a handful of people in OP even know the story of Nika. Luffy himself doesn’t grasp the history behind his DF yet, and I guarantee you he would hate the notion of suddenly being burdened by the expectations of a grand hero.
ya it doesn't sound plausible at all to be nika related. especialyl considering - granted we don't know the extent of VP's broadcast but the implication is that it's a global broadcast - if VP's gonna announce somethiong worldwide it has to be something relevant to the world not some nonsense about ancient weapons. what would be the pt of drawing up this whole story just to be like "heeyyyy there's a guy named nika, there's ancient weapons!"
ok cool story vegapunk? thanks for the secrets i guess
There are three big mysteries that I wouldn’t be shocked that VP knows about: the ancient kingdom, the will of D, and maybe deeper history of Joyboy/Nika. But I think the latter two would really only serve to put a bigger target on Luffy’s head. I think the truth behind the ancient kingdom and the WG’s insistence on suppressing it would be a lot to shake the faith, especially if he attributes Lulusia’s destruction to the WG.
the other interesting pt is that according to oda "a certain professor" will explain complex mechanisms behind all of the devil fruits in the series and future. and he hasn't really done that much yet so mabe its related considering hes dying here
id add the void century but i feel thats analgous with ancient kingdom
I feel like it’s safe to assume that the void century immediately follows the ancient kingdom’s downfall. It wouldn’t shock me to know that the void century was basically a century-long campaign of genocide and destruction by the WG to wipe out every historical trace of the kingdom that they could.
100% they go hand and hand
buccaneer is just a term for a pirate and there are thousands of books about blackbeard, some percentage of which will have an author who has a middle name that starts with D
there's far more evidence against BB being a buccaneer than there is for him being one. he lacks the stature and strength that the two known buccaneers have, and Saturn called Kuma the last of his kind, which would contradict what he knows about Blackbeard if he were a buccaneer.
Or the theory is true
Given the open hostility Saturn has shown towards the buccaneer race, it would utterly confound me if someone as notable as BB was a buccaneer and he never noticed or acted on the information.
sure anything can happen but there just isn't much evidence for it lol
not to sound like im trolling, has it been considered that blackbeard's special case is that his "other" self (the multiple soul theory) is one of a buccaneer? It leaves kuma as the actual last of his kind, with blackbeard also being a weird special case amongst the rest of the cast
That would require proof of the multiple soul theory as well as the acknowledgement of what the other special trait of the buccaneers is in the first place. It would take a fairly solid explanation to enshrine the idea of someone having a second soul that embodies the traits of a race they don’t physically appear as
Idea || what if the D stands for Dragon? Think about it. I don’t think anyone knows what D means, but one person does. The #1 enemy of the WG. Now what has he done to earn that title? Nothing really, nothing worse than what yonkos do. Sure he’s opposing the WG but that’s not enemy #1 status, no. It’s because he’s openly carrying the meaning of D, even though nobody realises it. Also makes sense why the nobles would call themselves the Celestial Dragons, an appeal to nobility of some kind, righteousness. Just a thought ||
Doesnt that make dragon's name Monkey Dragon Dragon? (replied to the wrong message)
Yeah it would, I guess. Would be weird but also interesting, in a way. I just find it odd that they’re celestial Dragons specifically, and we have a character named Dragon who is the WG enemy number 1. Why call themselves Dragons? Why not anything else that would make sense to the people of the One Piece world?
for what it's worth-- Dragon's name is written with the katakana for the english word Dragon, while the celestial dragons are written using the kanji for dragon
I only suggest it because of marco saying that blackbeard had a biology different to other humans + the special lineage bit mentioned now by saturn, which is very odd to say when he can outright state that blackbeard is a buccaneer / other species, I dont think oda will introduce a not seen yet species to highlight this biological quirk (+ why blackbeard never needed to sleep), given that its a special bloodline my guess is that it has something do with the vanishing twin concept (when one fetus of twins digests the other in the womb, absorbing it), justifying the multiple soul theory from a biological angle (one twin sleeps and the other stays awake, twins holding the devil fruits of WHITEbeard and BLACKbeard, direct contrasts) and explaining his bloated appearance
Seems pretty likely that it means Dawn. Also, if celestial dragons were afraid of dragons, which they're already clearly shown to be obsessed with, it would be weird. I think there's a lot of holes here
Its very much a stretch but the best I can think of for biological reason that blackbeard can hold two fruits, especially since "bloodline" emphasizes this is a trait passed down, meaning it cant just be blackbeard absorbed a soul randomly
Yeah probably, just a fun thought. I mean they could be afraid of Dragons because well, they would lose all legitimacy if the true Dragons came back? Idk. Probably not a sound theory
Dragon absolutely deserves his #1 enemy status. The Yonkos control petty little empires in the New World, which even without them would be a ridiculously dangerous frontier area full of monsters, difficult to map and traverse, with violent unpredictable weather. They are a nuisance, only worth mentioning because of the danger of one of the finding the One Piece, which considering it's relation to the Ponelglyphs is probably something dangerous to the CDs.
Dragon on the other hand heads a globe spanning resistance group that supports dissent and revolution wherever it can be found, he's much more of a thorn in the side of the established order.
There's also the jaya thing but that's been debunked(ish) to meaning that luffy and zoro could have been referring to the crew of BB instead of just him, but its still a possibility for it being evidence for blackbeard's bloodline being about him being more then one person
To your point, Dragon has an influence on potentially every country in a way that Yonkos do not
We'll get the kingdom name, a date, and a summary of bucc and luna races. Maybe even some context on birkans or an otherwise now "extinct" race.
Then the tincan in the basement moves as vega reads the kingdom name in the last panels
Know this: D is the smile of those who die smiling.
Those living a life worth dying with a smile named themselves D.
Dawn Don Demon Dream Destiny Dragon D as a half moon. No its the smile
RE: Vegapunk's secret of the world
- Void Century is a history of a war between the ancient kingdom (probably - advanced civ of the past) and group of 20
- 20 kingdoms won, and devleoped WG
- to ensure the ideals of the ancient kingdom COULD NOT BE PASSED DOWN they erased all traces of it
- anyone who finds out would be eliminated
- Fact taht Ohara was eliminated is evidence that the WG admitted this was true
- Shaka admits "Then it is the TRUTH" truth is bolded (truth of the world)
- dragon presumably knows this truth, he also knew clover. dragon used to be a marine and abandoned the marine life to fight against the world.
because of this i think the most likely truth relates to the above, and the truth galvanized Dragon a marine raised by Garp - himself a very dedicated marine as well - who threw away a cushy marine life to fight the govt. i think whatever we learn will also prompt the countries of the world to also rise up and side with the revos against the WG.
more evidence imo that the "truth" is the info contained in ohara's books which we know focused on the void century + the war between WG20 vs ancient kingdom.
Okay, that little twist brings be around to liking it a bit more
I wouldn’t be surprised if it came out that Nika ruled an island that was home to the Buccaneers (maybe the advanced city that Vegapunk alluded to) and Imu ruled an island that was home to the Lunarians (Kingdom of the Gods, an island before being elevated due to the red lines creation).
Would explain why the Straw Hat at Mary Geoise is so big and would explain why the Buccaneers/Lunarians were hunted down. Imu didn’t want anybody who knew about Nika/themself to tell the story of what happened.
just came to mind: it would make a lot of sense if Oda starts introducing some of the Ohara discoveries in the next chapters.
i imagine Elbaf will focus also on Robin meeting up with Saul again, and learning (us too) better what Ohara had discovered.
What if:
Luffy gets caught in Egghead Island, while others being rescued by the giants and they get power upgrade in elbaf arc without Luffy? And after the power upgrade, there will be marineford 2.0, where Luffys allies + Crew come to rescue him? 👀
minus hte luffy getting caught thing i kind of expect elbaf to be a big power up island for various members in prepf ro teh final war as well
As much as I'd love to see the SH fleet raid impel for luffy I can't see it happening unless oda wants to make this final saga extend for another 10 more years.
lol, that's what I am saying the message is for whole World and not just the Island.
Heres my theory on the void century, The WG destroyed the world during the void century and caused a great flood. That’s why wano got submerged with water and the people do fishman island have a boat called the Noah. It’s to escape a second great flood. Thats why the government is so terrified of people finding out the truth. If people knew what they did they will no longer support the world government. They will definitely try this again in the future. This is the great cleansing Venusjuro talked about
Blackbeard will kill Marco and take his devil fruit in order to become nigh immortal and will have taken a devil fruit of each type from a Whitebeard pirate
This may pave the way for “the great captain usopp” to plan a strategic advance in order to rescue Luffy also while receiving a power up in elbaf. 🫡
Especially if hes able to hone/master his haki in Elbaf, giving him an edge in identifying threats from afar.
thats a great theory, i've also read a theory that WG's end game plan is the flood the world.
it suggested that the giant bridge the revos have been building is a counter measure since Dragon knows about the void century. also if you look at enies lobby there's that giant hole in the water. its eerily reminiscent of the same hole that appears when the mother flame is used on Lulusia. a hole in the ocean is obviously a weird thing, and after Lulusia got sunk it was stated that the ocean rose all over the world. so maybe multiple mother flame shots could cause thist o happen again
i feel like narritively this wouldve made the most sense during hte payback war no?
I guess that means that the ancient weapons were once use by the government to flood the world. Probably similar to what happened to lulusia. So where did they use it? Maybe somewhere close to laughtale.
hard to say, its possible they used a different method last time like you said involving the ancient weapons. there's plenty of evidence that the WG have done this before tho
- the "old" wano is underwater
- the WG made their home atop the red line
- the mother flame causing sea to rise
- the lulusia type hole near enies lobby
- dragon's bridge
- imu backwards is umi, means water in japanese. perhaps imu is related and maybe the "goddess of the sea" that hates devil fruits is related?
- there's also the ship that's underwater at fishman island, noah's ark. it was built by teh fish men as a promise to joyboy. but why build a ship underwater? esp a massive one like that, also interesting paralell to teh world sinking such as in the parable noah's ark. perhaps the ark will be used to save people from the sinking.
also if you combine this theory with Vegapunk's big reveal. it's possible the WG will look to wipe out the entire planet again similar to the void century once everyone realizes what they've done. WG will try to do a mass reset and maybe Luffy can fulfill the promise with noah's ark that joyboy failed to do the first time.
People bring up the imu umi thing a lot and I don’t really think it’s a thing
People forget one piece is written in Japanese so oda would be writing a word that if translated phonetically could be read backwards as something is a little extreme
If he wanted to imply a tie to the sea that’s subtle all you need is to insert the character for ocean or sea or water etc
i agree its a stretch its just one part of the theory not even that big of a part
Especially when the Gorosei shorten it to great im
Yeah it’s just a major pet peeve of mine that’s tacked onto so many theories without any need to
i get that, i had a similar thought but i dont know enough about japanese and thouht it was also possible the localization team could have been involved in the naming but again still seems like a big stretch given what we do know.,
Localization is handled by people with very limited contact with oda afaik
Very intriguing, I think you have something there. The idea of a flood does slot in very well with what we know about Joyboy and the surviving relics from the Void Century war.
Current day Wano has a sea wall putting it massively above sea level, making it resistant to flooding.
Fish Man Island is already underwater and has built an ark tellingly named Noah.
Zunesha's sheer height would make it more resistant to flooding than most normal islands.
All 3 are apparently important sites entrusted with Road Poneglyphs iirc, and the Poneglyphs themselves are resistant to flooding.
As Luffy's rage reaches its zenith, a cataclysmic transformation engulfs him, radiating power that shakes the very foundation of the world. The ground quakes, mountains crumble, and oceans churn violently as the entire planet quivers in fear. In his final form, Luffy's aura blazes like a raging inferno, his eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity that pierces the very soul. With a thunderous roar that echoes across the cosmos, he declares his ascension to unrivaled supremacy, and all who witness it can only cower in awe and terror at the overwhelming might of the Pirate King.
could be dawn or dreams considering those who have the initial generally become great figures with heavy dreams/wills
i think dream is a fair guess too
i think dawn makes a lot more sense though
Explicitly said that CDs moved to marejois after the war in the void century too
Also this comment. “If we could use its power freely… conclusion” re the mother flame suggests if their goal is to drown the rest of the remaining world the mother flame would help that
st ethan has the first kitetsu blade

I don't expect I'm the first person to bring this up, but I don't believe the Ancient Weapons are weapons at all; not in the formal sense of being objects manufactured for war.
Poseidon is just a princess who can influence Sea Kings. I don't think a strong argument is needed as to why this doesn't feel much like a "weapon" being more of an ability that could easily be weaponized. The idea is even acknowledged within the manga itself by her mother in chapter 626.
Pluton I'll invest more effort into exploring. It's described by Crocodile in 193 as a weapon capable of destroying islands, with no mention of Pluton being a ship. Later Spandam, Iceburg, and Franky both refer to it as a weapon as well in 399.
Crocodile and Spandam are both villains who haven't displayed any deep understanding of what Pluton is. Franky and Iceburg are traumatized by their experience having Franky's creations turned used to commit atrocities on people close to them.
Tom the shipwright himself describes Pluton as a monster in 355. But the text of that entire flashback leans very heavily on the theme that a ship isn't made good or evil; it is the intentions of the user who make it such. I might go so far as to call that the central premise of the entire story.
We the audience don't know why Pluton was created, and neither did any of the characters describing it. Seeing something capable of destroying entire islands, and living in an age of such struggle, it isn't hard to understand why they would make the leap that it must be a weapon. But the ancient civilization might not have seen things the same way. I admit the case for Pluton being a weapon is pretty strong on the surface but, I think it comes from a lot of unreliable narrators with preconceived notions.
I'd like to touch more briefly on the Mother Flame/the weapon utilizing the Mother Flame. We don't know whether it is Uranus or not. The Kanji for what is located on Egghead Island translates to Fusion Reactor(according to the wiki, I’m not fact checking the Japanese manga). Between that, the destructive power of the weapon, and Vegapunk's interest in new energy sources stated in 1068, I think it's fair to surmise it is analogous to nuclear power, capable of being harnessed for good or evil. Not to mention the likely inspiration for Vegapunk’s visual design.
I agree, I've been saying it for a long time. The correlation of real history also gives reason for the D to mean Dragon.
- Luffys hat
- Nico Olvia defintion
- The sacred wood the Sunny is made of and the spirit that's in the Going Merry
- Elbaf and Usopp and who he represents in real life.
- Neferteri D. Vivi and the name of ship she was on in ch. 86
- Nami and who she really represents
- Who blackbeard represents with a character that doesn't sleep.
These all have one specific connection to each other and Nefertari D. Lili under one assumption...
Anyways, I don't think the D is a middle name so, it's not pronounced Monkey Dragon Dragon, The D is an honorific. eg. Monkey Dragon of the Dragon clan, kingdom, race or country.
Problem is that dragon is in the place of the first name. If it were the last maybe that would work. But in the case this is the truth. What’s Dragons actual name?
I do think the D in the name is actually someone actual name from the void century. Hence the Will of D. Not sure who that D would be. Could be Davy, from Davy back fights. Or someone notoriously famous which we don’t know the name of yet.
I think Dragon and Luffy both represent the will of D pretty well if it to be free.
Dragon is fighting for freedom to bring victory to the people and achieve peace in own his way. Luffy will bring freedom to the world his own way.
So, The will of dreams, desire, drums ect all all very possible but I think "The will of D" is an unfinished sentence and could be said like "The will of D is to be free or to dream ect."
Dawn and Dragon and Davy being the "D".
apparently there are rare den den mushi capable of broadcasting stuff to the entire world. Uta had one of them, Vegapunk too... It was prototype invented by vegapunk himself
Not surprising to me that Vegapunk would have the ability, he probably set up the WG broadcasting system
I'm still considering photonic boots to be the case
most likely Germa's blood dna modification. I don't know why ppl are surprised, queen's sword broke on his neck, and he was crushed to death and all of his bones mended themselves....
So there is reason to believe that his body may react to external element and damaging threat and that allowed him to block laser somehow.
If that was the boots, everyone ( including Atlas ) would go on and block the shit out of laser with their gloves and feets
But I find it weird that Altas' glove were not mentionned nor used in this particular case VS Kizaru. It's like Oda just showcased them to explain how Atlas could fight hologram and that's all
they could block if they were ABLE to, sanji's feat was being able to block kizaru's laser by being fast enough
not sure it's a legit argument ( with all due respect ) because ppl tends to avoid laser and shit from Kizaru when plots demands it
Why do i see this from their names?: Jupiter Mercury and theres Saturn 💀
I'm not saying they could block it. I'm saying that IF it was the boots and gloves, people would try to use them to block it. there wasn't even a try for that so we can assume that's its not the boots or gloves. you'd guess that Satellite would use an entire suit that could refract light if it was something that could block lasers
which brings me to point 1. I'm pretty sure it was Sanji's Germa's power that did this. His whole body can be immune to damage as we saw before and we don't know the limits of his actual capabilities yet. ( nor the downside )
I think its part of G5 awakening, I can't see how Sanji awakening new Germa powers fits into the current storyline or his arc at all
Will Luffy actually destroy Fishman Island or will another with a straw hat do it?
I think its the speed of sanji when he deflects the laser which impresses everyone because he deflects a laser in chapter 1106 but in 1107 he just appears in front of the laser and saves bonney
betting on caterina devon to copy luffy's appearance to destroy fishman island considering how caribou plans to tell blackbeard about poseidon
Open at your own discretion: ||I have a feeling. That the next chapter. Vegapunk is going to talk about Aliens on One Piece. And that the gorosei are from a different planet. The mother flame is an alien saucer.||
I think he'd go to Wano first, assuming it's closer
please let this shit be fake because it would be so not funny
I have a longstanding crackpot theory that || Enel didn't reach a real moon but rather a high altitude weapon that's still in atmosphere ||
Can we see a return of Marco? Bucking said go ask vegapunk something like that could it be Marco is on his way to egghead?
Will Urouge at some point loose his left hand? Since its a reference to the Barbarossa Brothers.
uranus
thats just what the planet is called (not a moon)
I think maybe the one piece was joyboy’s dream to unite all the kingdoms together into "one" piece by destroying the redline I mean it’s already ironic that the castle in marijoi is called Pangea which is the name of the mass of land where all the continents are connected
roger wouldnt laugh at a dream, it was confirmed that the treasure is indeed a physical item
I think luffy destroys the red line which in turns destroys fish man island but he helps them come back and live on the surface
With people complaining about how gear 5 makes luffy not take fight’s seriously enough, what if that’s why joyboy/Nika failed in the void century?
Would give some merit to dragons serious/slow/meticulous approach to defeating the world gov. And maybe luffys strong willpower will allow him to overcome the influence of his devil fruit
Also, what if luffys dream is just ‘for everyone to be free’ something simple but very very difficult, mirrors his fruit and character, wano would remind him of it and it would mirror blackbeards
i have a theory that the one piece, is gaimon, see the mini arc with gaimon is a random bit of one piece, filler but uneeded, we arent gonna see him every again, and all he did was get stuck in a treasure chest, what if gaimons story wasnt just the fact he got stumped on a nameless island by his crew, but his crew was rogers crew.. leaving him behind they realised they need to go back for him and uhh, he became, the ONE piece.
This might be my favorite theory ever
I don't get why people are saying that Gear 5th makes Luffy not take fights seriously.
He was pretty much serious during his fight against Kaido when he used that form after reactivating G5.
He was still somewhat playful but that's just how he is.
It's has been so since the start of the story.
Him being playful doesn't mean that he isn't taking the fight seriously.
The Gorosei (chapter 1044) and Dr Vegapunk (chapter 1069) have mentioned that Nika's antics could make people smile and the Warrior of Liberation being playful fits that.
It's like saying, Oda introduced Nika to be this funny playful Sun God only for it to fail in liberating the world.
In SBS Volume 65, someone asked Oda why he gave Luffy rubber ability instead of other cool or strong ability.
In which he replied;
"...No matter how serious the story gets, Luffy is there to stretch and inflate. He always gives me a chance to fool around. That's the kind of manga I wanted to write."
With Luffy already awakened, that only gives more room and creativity for Oda to do that.
Fighting goofily (like with water luffy) is different from goofing off while fighting (like stopping to chat with sentomaru mid-fight with lucci)
I like gear 5 a lot but it is does make most of luffy's fights significantly goofier and lighthearted (which I also really like).
nika/joyboy DID fail in liberating the world 800 years ago that's one of the only things we know about the void century
I wonder if we'll find out what was happening before the anicent kingdom was founded
Could the D be the name of the kingdom that got destroyed during the void century?
maybe
i mean maybe, coz Zunesha is older than 800 years too right, so maybe they do tell what was happening before
but then again, didn't tell Zoro's past properly either so who knows
The giant in last chapter asked if labophase was a sky island. It’s an innocent looking remark, but giants knowing about sky islands is a big deal. This links to giant jack back in Skypea, which was a huge bean stalk growing from the ground to the clouds, straigh out of the tale Jack and the magic beans in which he used the stalk to reach a giant’s castle in the clouds. Elbaf has a giant tree that could very well reach into the White Sea and that stalk being somehow related to giants seems more and more likely. This also ties to the unknown High West which was an alternate method to reach the White Sea , mentioned but never described in detail.
so what you're saying is that on the island of giants they too could have their civilisation up on a sky island, which they'd access through the giant tree. And the giants living down below which we saw would be more of...a port or something, but not where majority of the giants live?
it's kindof ambiguous how much people know about sky islands in general right. Like Skypeia was a secret but it's been implied a couple of times that others exist?
yeah no definitely others exist right, weatheria or wtv was a sky island too right? Or was it on a lower level like altitude wise, like a smaller lower sky island
it's artificial apparently, but yeah
Well, Enel came from Birka, another sky island. That shares the same name with the city in the moon. The one with ancient kingdom robots. And sky island birka had plans for building a flying airship capable of destroying whole islands. Sounds a lot like Uranus and the Pluto plans situation. I think like in Plutos case, there is the weapon lying somewhere and plans to replicate it. Uranus would be what destroyed Lulusia. And Enel made a replica with the plans from Birka.
And Ganfall when he thought Luffy and co would have arrived trough the high west was surprised they knew nothing because they should have visited at least a couple sky islands to reach that point coming from high west.
Nvmind
I think it was stated that there are many more sky islands.
Like Urouge, the Mad Monk is from a sky island,
not necessarily Skypiea.
There was also the sky island were Kaido had his free fall (his introduction scene)
There are at least weatheria, baloon terminal and Birka. With the last no more an island since Enel presumably destroyed it
Also the sky island that Bege gets sucked into
That’s not a sky island it’s not high enough
Isnt any island in the sky technically a sky island?
Vegapunk's message is going to be about joyboy and the final island. He is just going to complete what clover partially said since he was killed before he could say his message.
And also give a tribute to the archeologists of ohara who lost their lives
All the hype of Ussop with the Giants is making me think his final match up will end up being against San Juan Wolf
very true
Ganfal mentions two more unnamed islands in the manga image I posted
Luffy will get all gorosei and BB will get imu. This will give both of them a status of god level threat.
luffy will get caught by gorosei, and everyone gonna try to rescue him, final battle in mariejoa
now we're talkin
Ussop hot
Luffy is the main protagonist of the series and we follow his journey so narratively, I don't see that happening.
Oda literally made him an Emperor and have the powers of a God the previous arc, to only have him lose the next (current) arc?
He loses here then he lose his status as an Emperor so what's the whole point of making him one? Only for some short lived hype?
People: "Luffy is still weak to go up again the World Government so he's getting captured at Egghead which will lead to the final war"
Then what next? Luffy magically gets huge power up all of sudden and able to defeat the WG?
A lot of events still need to take place before the final war and no way while everything is going on, Luffy is not present in any.
The gorosei also want Luffy dead, because they fear the knowledge (and power) of Nika getting out that much
So I feel like it wouldn't make any sense for them to set-up a marineford 2.0 with Luffy - why risk the chance he gets rescued and/or made into a martyr figure? If, hypothetically, the WG was placed in a position where they were actually able to capture/incapacitate Luffy, they'd just kill him right away.
Dragon has to come now.
Wrong channel, read the descriptions
Kizaru hit vegapunk in the same place that Saturn did to burn his wounds and to close the internal bleeding. Just like the surgeons do with electrocauters
Theory: Nami is from the royal family of God Valley
any logic behind ur theory?
Yes, this is not original to me so I forget some of the details, but all the princesses in One Piece are named after flowers and so is Nami
Like in some Japanese pun type thing, and I can't help but feel that with Sanji's family name having ended up being such an important and hidden aspect of the plot that the won't apply to Nami. Plus it does feel like something 90s Oda would've written down as a potential plot point.
Think of Franky who even though he has the same origin story as Nami, being an orphan found and raised by someone else, he still has a family name. Only Usopp and Brook and we already know that Usopp's family has some larger connection to the One Piece world, even if Yasopp won't end up being that important. idk about Brook tbh. I just picked God Valley at random to be honest, but any island that could end up being important to the final saga could work. Thinking about it the timeline doesn't even line up with God Valley being destroyed way before Nami was born but I think the point still holds.
One Piece is nothing but Imu's Fav Dress stolen by JoyBoy... To gift it to her wife i.e Lily. Or maybe JoyBoy had a affair wid both and Imu caught him while he was taking away that ONE PIECE
Vegapunks last msg-"World u want my knowledge? U can have it. I have left everything I learnt in one fruit now you just have to find it.... "thus begings the great nerd era
Wrong
What chapter (exactly) will Dragon come to egghead. And willl Akainu come to? And what about his enemy not in blood but in vain and symbolically the elements, sabo. Will sabo fight my boy wakainu, because it symbolises his victory over magma with fire that was previously unable to conquer the magma. Willl the fire emperor carry ace’s willl on his shoulders and tame the magma beast with the same flame?
Can they not do something like outsmart him instead of overpowering him what leads him to be captured
I noticed you can never actually see his eyes in this chapter
How is there a pun in Nami's name?
@fast radish we do not allow making parallels to other-series in the manga channels.
... what is the differene between this and #manga-serious ?
This is for discussing theories
I saw it in a video, I can’t find the original one but I did find an AI voice stolen version https://youtube.com/shorts/tmSX-uH3otA?si=JEBxdgEQ7Zp1UDUg
That's a huge ass stretch
yeah
Guys don’t quote me but I think the goroseis are showing up next chapter
maybe the man marked by scars could be dragon
I think Dragon is the only other known alternative to Saul. They refer to him as the “man marked by flames.” I think it could apply to Saul for saving the books in Ohara during a fire, but it could also apply to the marks on Dragon. They almost look like a brand of sorts
This isn't the channel meant for throwing out single line comments how characters resemble stuff from other works of fiction or pop culture.
Does anyone have ideas on why onigashima is underwater? We have seen it before and it was on land
If they can capture Luffy regardless of how then it makes no sense for them to not kill him immediately.
Kaido was attempting to drop it on the flower capital and Momo stopped it. But I can’t imagine there was any reason for Momo to want to move the island back to its original place, so he settled for the sea above old Wano.
I find the Gorosei's demeanor quite disturbing throughout this. None of them are showing any shock or emotion.
to kill him like they did roger ?
The Elders have mentioned that Luffy’s DF has eluded them for hundreds of years. If you could actually contain Luffy, it would be just as practical to imprison him in the darkest pit of the world than allow the fruit a chance to respawn and elude them elsewhere.
Bu killing him is not bad idea too
It’s not a bad idea. I think they would definitely just kill Luffy on egghead and not risk something happening in a marineford style execution. But if they could imprison him, it would also buy them time before the DF could reincarnate.
Hey move this convo over to #manga-serious
Luffy will lose here but he won’t get captured. Unless anyone wants to tell me Luffy fleeing five elder stars demonstrates that he is not competent as an Emperor, it doesn’t mean anything in his status. Kaido was captured seventeen times but that doesn’t make him lose his emperor status, he chose to avoid confrontation with shanks, but even then that doesn’t change Kaidos status . Luffy is an emperor because of his feats, antifeats don’t take anything away.
pretty sure that time kaido was a hobo
you forgot where he said he get captured just to eat and stuff
I have a feeling this is where shanks and crew shows up, we know that his conquerors is long range so perhaps him or one of the other crewmates can see across islands with observation, then take a trip from elbaf to pull a marineford
yeah the Gorosei threat is serious. Someone gotta help Luffy, he ain't going to defeat them before his Haki runs out. It seems like Egghead is immune to Imu's nuke
Also at this point the Gorosei have likely a thing going similar to Vegapunk and his satellites. They may not be connected to Imu, but they are with each other given how they can summon and are connected telepathically
So what are the theories on what truth Vegapunk wants to tell about the world?
Oda might pull something completely left field and add another 200 chapters of explanation tbh
i don't think its the void century that's robins job but maybe exposing the world government
Why have all the youtubers assumed Momo moved Onigashima.
Theory: BB is already there and Onigashima was thrown by Burgess or something
I noticed that the communication between the gorosei wasn't by snail but actually by telekinesis. I have an idea. I don't think the op op fruit has been used on all the gorosei but instead it was ONLY used on imu. He has a demonic devil fruit but it's probably related to earth in some way. Like literal demon shit and he absorbed the gorosei into his powers so they are like his pawns. They have their own wills but they all act within the best interest of imu. So they are communicating with each other because they are all one. Imu is the earth, centre of the one piece universe because they use a globe centric model and not a sun centric model. The planets are all associated with him directly. So they all communicate through him as they gave their life for imu in the void century. Like in that final panel, they said it was black lightning but ngl it kinda looks like a hand almost. And that hand could symbolise imu placing his pawns down. Also to link the demon nature of imu and the earth link there was a book I read ages ago that had the whole heaven and hell aspect but instead it was in layers. And the dimension they were in was the first layer of hell but it was basically just normal humans. There just happened to be higher levels of murder, deceit, Treachery and all that stuff. That could be how it's kinda linked with an earth power and demons. Additionally I think there has to be some linking for why they exist on the red line. All the gods are on the red line and they see everyone below the red line as lesser. Kinda like they are heaven and everything on the seas is hell full of demons which then plays into an opposite where Luffy is on the seas and wants to be free on the seas and he is happiness while fear and demons exist in the place that is seen as heaven on earth
I'm only interested who will assist luffy in taking on 4 other gorosei and kizaru at the same time.
It's gonna be an epic showdown, can't wait!
And blackbeard crew might still be sneaking around.
Theory sanji, zoro power-up development will be interesting to see and boringly bonney and her new crew pacifista seems OP enough.
Shanks might show up out of nowhere on the fight but seems early for him yet.
@tribal pumice Yep, should be hype, but let’s take those matchup/power-up ideas to #manga please
!theories
Please refrain from using manga-theories for joke theories, casual chit-chat, power scaling, bounty predictions or low-effort memes. This channel is for serious discussion- please read the channel description. Posts here must be in paragraph form, preferably with evidence, not just a one line open question.
I don't know if anyone has proposed this before—I'm guessing it has been—but I was thinking what if the Gorosei are all members of the same family who aligned with Imu/the Nerona family but they're all from different generations
I saw somewhere, maybe reddit, an idea that the gorosei are satellites of Imu.
But with the way gorosei respect Imu I doubt it’s true.
I was thinking this too to parallel the VP satellites and I could see that as well
With all the strange powers Saturn is demonstrating (telepathic comms, summoning, etc), it would be helpful if it all came from Imu. Also, I believe there’s some precedence for those magical feats if we look at other devil fruit powers. For example in ch848, we saw Napoleon, a special homie, telepathically learn that there’s an intruder in the treasure room in WCI. Also in Dressrosa, we saw that some devil fruits (like Sugar’s) can give you an unaging body. So, it’s possible Imu’s df does that to its user and their followers (ie the Gorosei). But if Imu is the reason for those powers, then how can Saturn wield effectively 2 df powers: his own df powers as well as Imu’s? Does Imu’s powers affect the Gorosei’s shadows (kinda like the Kage Kage no mi)? Is that how the “earth” aspect you mentioned gets applied here?
It’s an interesting idea, but didn’t we learn the Gorosei’s family names back in ch1086-ish? None of them were from the Nerona family. The 19 families as a whole are already allied together since they’ve formed the WG.
I think when the gorosei transform they trade the original bodys for this demon form and the original body goes into a different dimension. The demon body cant be damaged if u dont have the counter for it and meanwhile their real bodys ,which can take damage, are safe in the other dimension.
I feel like there HAS to be precedence for the op op immortality operation. And the most logical location for that to be is the ruler of the world. And I don't think Saturn wields 2 Devil Fruit powers but very similar to how vegapunk has been introduced and has his satellites which exhibit personality traits. Maybe imu has done the same with his power. But the earth is more that imu is the centre of the world government and the world. In the same way that the ohara planet system display thingy featured the one piece world at the centre. And then I just tied in that to the idea found elsewhere that earth is the first layer of hell. And then he would be the lord of hell basically. And Luffy is the one who will bring the light in the darkness, lifting the world out of hell.
Ok I kind of see where you’re going, but we do see Saturn’s “awakened” form get damaged and recovered, somewhat like logias getting hit with normal attacks. Is there any evidence though that there’s some kind of dimension that keeps them safe? Has any other df user showed that kind of ability?
But I guess to make it clear. I think Saturn is a part of imu, and the power Saturn holds originates in imu. It makes sense for why they have telekenisis. Why they have similar forms in the throne room. Why all their forms have some similarity to what we have seen of imu. I think that's the best way to link it. And the way we are truly introduced to the gorosei in the flesh is in the same arc that we meet a man who has become 7?
Yeah I think Fat Snake and elle mentioned the satellite idea too earlier. Okay, so if Saturn’s powers originate from Imu, then we’re treating Imu as if they can bestow df powers………which is cool but imo is hard to prove because I don’t think we’ve ever seen something like that happen in the story. Doesn’t mean it’s impossible, just that it’s hard to make it plausible. Also in the throne room, the fact that the Gorosei were shadows isn’t indicative of anything to me personally, it just means Oda wants to hide their forms. What did you mean by “the same arc that we meet a man who has become 7”? I can’t remember what that refers to
Oh wait you mean VP nvm. We met the Gorosei back in Jaya arc so I was confused lol
Why would the Red Hair Pirates be nearby Egghead?
Shanks has no plans to meet up with Luffy yet.
They still have to deal with Bartolomeo.
I think it could be possible that the gorosei and Imu may be all the same person
We met them back then but we learn more about them with VP. Also it's not that he gives them fruit powers. But they are an extension of his fruit aka they are apart of him
Yeah it's a lot more likely the straw hats encounter the Red Hair crew in elbaf, I think they're strong and lucky (with plot armor) enough to just escape at this point — they need to be at least since we're near the endgame
I am most interested on the concept of how the elders are able to summon themselves ontop of being able to transform/regenerate like they do.
If Luffy derives his power from laughter
Do you think Oda has the 5 elder stars derive their power from Fear?
I am also in the boat that Vegapunk plans on broadcasting the current state of Egghead to the world showing the true forms of the elder stars
And with Luffy in tow.
How I imagine it playing out, people will first see the 5 elder stars, everybody will be in pure shock and horror. But when they see luffy fighting against them, it will show Nika to the world, therebye giving people hope. And with his cartoony powers make them laugh. Thus drowning out the Elder Stars source of power.
I heavily disagree Because it was recorded. How would he know that a gorosei would pop up? I think instead it might be something to do with imu or the world government in general
somebody else pointed out that the 10 minutes was to force the goroseis hand into revealing themselves within their panic to stop the broadcast. Thus when the 10 minutes are up it would be programmed to switch to a live feed showing the battle that ensues.
As shaka pointed out to dragon
He feared he was going to die.
Also this is vegapunk. He routed all control of the kuma's to bonny without the WG knowing
The reason why he created so many vegapunk satellites was that it would be harder for the WG to kill him.
He was able to turn a frozen wasteland into a tropical island and built so much in the span of a few short years.
He probably has contigencies ontop of contingencies.
That is possible, but again. The probability of a gorosei going to the surface is miniscule. No one knew a gorosei was going to appear.
i think he was betting on that miniscule chance
Yeah I was thinking that the next arc would be the gorosei dealing with the chaos of uprisings in countries and trying to suppress as much of what VP said from those who haven't heard
my prediction is he was betting on the arrogance the five elders had because of how powerful they are.
carefully crafted a scenario where it would force their hands to reveal themselves
he may even crafted york betraying him
How would he know Luffy was going to head to egghead as an elder comes to egghead? How does he know luffy is Nika? The world shaking event is clearly going to be what vegapunk knows of the void century being revealed, thats why the elders are so concerned. Hes been researching the void century
I think what vegapunk is going to show is the gorosei there with their wild forms and show egghead's situation alongside luffy
Nika was the sun king of the world aided by his 9 planet companions he shone his light on the dreams of the people to make them come true in the form of DF,he had a chosen person on each village to represent him and thats how royal bloodlines started, Imu the earth warrior God became jealous and (other villain motifs) instilled nightmares on the other planet-warrior gods, 5 of them allied with Imu and found a way to betray and bring down Nika and the other 3 planets (ancient weapons), after that they rallied other "kings" to rule the world instead of nika, but he managed to transfer his will into a df before dying and inherited his will to his loyal followers until one day he could return.
After the void century the now WG tried to cover the history , and framed the sun God as a devil, while calling themselves the new gods, therefore the powers that emanated from Nikas light and peoples dreams became know as devil fruits.
Luffy has 9 nakamas who will be the new warrior gods, he will power them up to gorosei level without needing the use of a devil fruit , and the 3 that already have one will be the new weapons.
Make your nakama-planet alignment proposal
Hmm idk. I don't think that's what his crew is going to become.
Yeah not a fan
you know what, i recon luffy is gonna get captured in the next few chapters, his all alone at the moment with most of the crew having there hands tide up. the last thing luffy would do is insure his crew escapes egghead, it would make a really interesting follow up ark involving the crew finding a way to get there captain back. thats the most interesting conclusion to the egghead ark
Hmm just my random theory:
The D family name will be revealed on Chapter 1111.
D means Destroy.
😄
Don't forget about the ancient robot that has been teased twice as of now. As it seems to be activated by Nika's heartbeat, it wouldn't make too much sense if it didn't come into action now. That should be a moment of power tide change so I'm not too sure if Luffy gets captured after it happens.
He sent the giants there for a reason, to bring luffy to elbaf, if they're struggling to fulfill the mission then the red hair pirates may show up
Is that a confirmed fact?
I think so but I could be wrong, I mean how else would they know luffy is Nika if not for shanks telling them, then sending them off
For example from the Newspapers that his Gear 5 form appeared in 😄
Or his bounty picture
Shanks be needing Luffy to unlock the One Piece. Seems like he was waiting for Joyboy.
Also is there a possibility that there is a Water - Water fruit user out there somewhere and we might see that person soon enough. Maybe in Egghead?
Five Gorosei must have to be devils who can take human forms who didn’t consume devil fruits.
Because most Saturn's face is still same even after transformations.
Unlike other Zoan fruit users for Kaidou, Yamato, King and other Zoan fruit users, who completely changes their physical form after reaching their final stage.
Giants of elbaf have known about Nika long before. They have a dedicated holiday for Nika. So when they see Luffys bounty picture they realise he is Nika and come to rescue him
guys, I have a few theories about One Piece Chapter 1110, The first one is that the secret will be a tiny bit of the void centry or stuff we know already as not even Vegapunk knowsit all the second one is that it will expose the WG but not the void century third ne is vega punk gon be cut of forth one is that everyone but the readers will hear it fifth one is that the void century all of it will be shown however it's highly unlikely
Giants lifespans are three times more than humans so if some people like Kureha lives 130 years or more then there might an elder Giants living on Elbaf or somewhere for 800 years to help Joyboy.
the average lifespan of a human in one piece is over 100 years if i remember correctly, around 130-150 years old, so 3x that is nowhere near 800
maybe the giants' grandparents, definitely not this generation, no, unless theres some giant that managed to live double the average lifespan
maybe giants back in the void century were way bigger than giants currently in op
The gorosei and some selected folk have access to teleportation or manifestation. That's what saturn bought in the latest chapter. And we're gonna see some knights
sorta like tot musica?
this is definitely not the right channel to ask that question, more fitting in #manga or #also-manga
Thank you
!theories Probably better to ask that in #manga-serious if you’re looking for other options.
Please refrain from using manga-theories for joke theories, casual chit-chat, power scaling, bounty predictions or low-effort memes. This channel is for serious discussion- please read the channel description. Posts here must be in paragraph form, preferably with evidence, not just a one line open question.
usually this channel is for longer theories so you wanna elaborate why you think that and what that means for their potential fight?
that actually sounds dumb lol
I know
@ebon topaz @sick spear please use #manga or #manga-serious for one-line takes like that. If you’re stating a theory here, you have to add some in-story evidence/reasoning to support it
If there's gear 6 for Luffy and if it's his ultimate form then he should have characteristics actually similar to that sun rather than being a rubber guy and turning his surroundings to rubber.
Gear 6 should've great destruction properties. Maybe like fire or nuclear punch or stuff. And for hell sake he's Sun god. Why is he getting burned? I hope gear 6 will do justice to Nika.
I’m around 90% sure that Vegapunk’s announcement is meant to be bait for the Five Elders to show up at EggHead so that Vegapunk can broadcast their demon appearances to the World. Everything flows together perfectly for this event to occur in the future such as Wapol being right next to Morgan at the moment.
We can assume that Kizaru landed in the ship so he will survive but Saint Saturn storms back on the island so Saturn will die
i actually like this line because mariejois is vulnerable and vp did give the heads up to dragon. only issue is cameras are supposedly disabled in egghead rn so 1. he cant broadcast the elders and 2. dragon doesnt know whether they took the bait or not
Do you have any evidence that Luffy’s df should/will have a “gear 6”? The story’s gone through great lengths to tell us that a df’s awakening is its “peak”.
Why would Saturn die if he’s on the island? I used to like the idea that Saturn would die in Egghead, but that was before I read ch1109’s ending. Is there anything that hints to Saturn’s death right now?
I would say plotwise. And well you see Catarina Devon touched Saturn so his death would secure things. Also Blackbeard Pirates believe in Fate. They are Fatalists. Which means they have a vision that Saturn dies so they can be an imposter or they will kill Saturn after Luffy beats him. Maybe Saturn survives Egghead but he will probably die
I never heard someone call the BB pirates fatalists. It kinda works, especially for Van Auger. OK so you think they’re collecting “copies” of important people like Saturn just so they can impersonate him later in the future, which will lead to his death….although we don’t know much about their plans, it would be interesting if that is their intention and Catarina still brazenly “copied” Saturn in front of his face
Currently their isn't any more stages than fully transformed Zoan fruit powers example like Kaidou being a eastern dragon has multiple skills and powers like conjuring lighting and fire.
So for luffy who is already burning his life force for using his Gear 5 techniques in battles. Mostly their might be more techniques in his Gear 5 because Sun God's powers are Ridiculous among Devil Fruits limited to his imaginations.
If Luffy needs more upgrades then he had to become immortal or any other source of way to get unlimited power without reducing his life force
!g2 just wanted to share a quick note (see below), Luffy wasn’t burning life force in Gear 2, so I doubt he’s burning it in Gear 5
My mistake as long as Luffy has energy source to back him up like the huge amount of meat received in egghead Island while Saturn ordered to capture Luffy at his immobilized state, Luffy ate all the food and returned to Gear 5 after digesting it so as you said it wouldn't that Luffy is burning his life force
Like Buggy broadcasted the incident happened in Marine Ford on the Paramount war their might be highly likely that someone else or Vegapunk's other satellites must have planned beforehand to show the truths about Ancient Kingdom or Void century incident or about the Five Elders true identities by their Devil Fruits
The Vegapunks appearing in the video right now are Stella, Shaka and Pythagoras.
Those are also the three Vegapunks that are dead.
Could this be, rather than a recorded message, a virtual world hosting the Vegapunk personalities that have died ?
What would be the implications of that ?
Thousand Sunny can be a replica of Pluton or smaller version of that ancient weapon itself, because Franky had the blueprints for about some time after Iceburg gave it to him before that Franky and Iceburg already have seen it when Tom showed it.
Also Franky used Adam Tree's wood to build for some parts which also his dream that his ship must sail all the seas.
Well in order to infiltrate the World Government. Mr.Mojr made a theory of it. And finally fatalists because they believe in fate which is what binds them together. Doc Q and Van Augur speak about fate a lot and Teach as well. And everyone else also thinks Teach is special for a reason.
Teach is the antithesis of Nika. The Will of Xebec.
I was thinking along the lines of what if the Stella was just another branch and not the source as well
I believe so too
The One Piece is Binks’ Sake
the term “one piece” has several meanings, including “that which unites people.” And that fits the song “Binks’ Sake.” A song which may tell the story of the Ancient Kingdom through its lyrics and has the Japanese equivalent of the term “laugh tale” in them! The treasure is believed to be Binks’ literal sake. Sake figures prominently throughout the story, uniting characters! And what do the Roger Pirates sing before they reach Laugh Tale? “Binks’ Sake!” No wonder they laughed! Finding all that sake would certainly help with Luffy’s worldwide party too!
So, I've had a long-running theory regarding Imu, The Devil Fruits, the Ancient Kingdom, and Some other things:
The Truth of the Ancient Kingdom is that it was a multi-cultural Advanced paradise. Humans, Fishmen, Giants, Minks, They all worked together to build and live in this great kingdom. This kingdom had a ruler, but rather than being one who actively controlled things, he followed his heart and encouraged everyone with a laugh and smile to follow their dreams and work together. This man's name was Adam, the king of Olympia.
However, within the world, there existed supernatural forces and entities. One of these entities was The Sea Devil. A cruel, petty tyrant, the Sea Devil enjoyed the suffering and subjugation of those in his charge in the bounds of the Underworld.
Adam, meanwhile, wanted to share the gifts of Olympia with the world, to unify everyone together to bring genuine peace and prosperity to all. He opted to travel the world and form alliances with other nations. However, in his travels, he also encountered the Red Line, a massive continent that spanned the globe, and realizing how it blocked the two halves of the world apart, Adam resolved to destroy part of it to allow access. It was through this he met the Lunarians, and after talking with their leaders, the tribe agreed to help, identifying a key weak point in the Red Line: Reverse Mountain. Adam met with his 7 master Shipwrights, who took on the task of building a ship capable of destroying Reverse Mountain to connect the world.
The Sea Devil, realizing that if Adam succeeded in this mission, it would result in humanity collectively ascending to a point that no soul would ever enter the Underworld again, sought to sabatoge the mission. Posing himself as a nobleman named Nerona Imu, The Sea Devil lobbied other kingdoms against Adam by telling them about the terrible weapons he built and how he sought to subjugate the world and wipe out any resistance, and formed an alliance against Adam.
The Alliance was made of 20 or so kingdoms, including Alabasta, who's reigning monarch, Nefretari Lily, was apprehensive and skeptical of this strange Nobleman warning of death and destruction. Lily had heard of Adam before, and nothing she knew of the man lined up with what Imu was saying. Desiring to investigate further, Lily joined the alliance, but remained neutral, if only to protect her people.
Needing a further catalyst to fully push the alliance to war, The Sea Devil visited Adam, and offered a deal. He would give Adam and his people a portion of his power, in order to acheive their deepest desires. Adam, desiring to be something that could bring happiness and joy to everyone, was given the power to become a white-haired entity with a rubbery body and a joyus disposition, named after Adam's very own style of laughing: "Nika". Many other powers appeared amongst Adam's people as well: Magnetism, Shockwaves, Mythical Creatures; If one could imagine it, it existed!
The Sea Devil believed that by doing this, Adam and his kingdom would doom themselves to coveting further power, but to his shock, Adam and his kingdom began using the powers they gained to further aid in the growth and prosperity of their kingdom. Realizing his attempt to corrupt Adam failed, The Sea Devil began to rally the alliance against Adam further, stoking fears by showing how their powers could easily wipe out any smaller kingdom with little effort.
Bolstered by this seemingly imminent threat, the Kingdoms went to war, launching an assault on Olympia and its allies, in a war that would last 100 years, and would see great destruction across the globe. The suffering and pain was great to the Sea Devil, and relishing in it, he gave individuals in the 20 kingdoms pieces of his power as well, to level the playing field.
After 100 years of fighting and turmoil, Adam decided to end the fighting in 1 last one-on-one battle. Tasking the Wano stonemasons with inscribing the history of the war, as well as an apology to the Mermaid Princess, Posideon, on unbreakable stones, Adam fought against The Sea Devil, and eventually lost. However, before The Sea Devil could claim Adam's soul and drag it down to the underworld, as he did with so many others, Adam revealed his last trick: He "freed" the powers the Sea Devil granted to others from the Sea Devil's control, causing them, and by extension, the souls they were bound to, to reincarnate as fruits that could be given to anyone. These "Devil Fruits" would forever be reborn again and again, embodying the wills of their original users, free to be used however anyone desired.
The Sea Devil, realizing he had been tricked, and unable to undo what Adam had done, resolved to erase the Kingdom from existence to prevent Adam's will from ever being fulfilled. Becoming Imu, he formed the World Government, with the 5 most trusted Nobles as its overseeing Elders. He took any and every measure he could to fully snuff out Adam's ideology, from subjugating the Olympia's citizens as slaves, to fostering anti-human views and tensions in member nations, to persecuting any ally of Olympia, all to ensure his control. He even sought to hunt down Adam's Devil Fruit, hoping to either contain or destroy it, but when he saw that it continued eluding his grasp, he had the WG rename it to avoid suspicion.
Now that the history of the world is to be revealed, Imu is faced with a choice: Does he begin the purge and face world-wide opposition, or does he seek out a new solution?
Trafalgar D. Water Law has one of the most broken Devil Fruits in the series. With the Op-Op Fruit’s operation powers, Law can manipulate anything in a given area, including people’s bodies. But Law’s fruit is highly sought after because of a particular ability it has - to grant someone else perpetual immortality through surgery, at the cost of the user’s life. While this raises plenty of questions, the most important is - who will Law use it on himself? Oda wouldn’t just drop that ability without making Law use it. And the answer most people land on is Luffy. While Law plays it cool, he clearly believes in Luffy. We could easily envision Law giving his life to make sure Luffy goes on living - permanently.
Similar to Gorosei or so
SWORD is a still mysterious faction in the Marines. While their overall purpose remains unknown, they have had at least one member go undercover as a pirate, X Drake. Law, meanwhile, grew up admiring Doflamingo’s brother, Rocinante/Corazon, who was himself an undercover Marine. Law and Drake have had several other connections, from Drake being on the same island where Corazon died, to him freeing Law on Wano. In addition, Law is tied to the mysterious Rocky Port Incident, which another SWORD member, Koby, was involved in. “One Piece” is a small world, so these could be mere chance connections. But wouldn’t it make sense for Law, whose childhood hero was an undercover Marine, to grow up and become one himself?
Another interesting ability that Imu could have up their sleeve is the power of chaos. In One Piece 1085, Imu was seen referring to themselves with the pronoun "Mu," which is a childish way to talk and indicates that Imu might as well be a child who is immortal, but at the same time it also translates into "Infinity" or "nothingness." It could also closely translate into "Void," which would mean that Imu could have the powers of the void itself.
In One Piece 1085, Imu managed to transform into a giant creature with sharp teeth capable of swallowing fire. This could mean that Emu might be able to transform into a mythical creature with the power of Chaos. In Greek mythology, Chaos is a state that existed before the creation of the universe. Before the new world, as fans know it now, was created, Imu could have used the powers of chaos to cause the Void Century. Essentially, this power would make Imu the God of the Void.
Added thought on this: While I do believe Imu to be the Sea Devil, I do think they may possess a Power, albiet the only one they were left with: The Umibozu. If the 5 Elders and Imu are all themed on Japanese Yokai, having an Umibozu as the Sea Devil would be a fantastic way of lining that parallel up. In Japanese Mythology, Umibozu are gigantic, black humanoid spirits that appear in calm seas and destroy ships by causing the sea to become tumultuous. It's said that the only way to avoid one is to hand it a bottomless bucket when it asks for one, as it will become confused and provide an opportunity for the ship to escape.
If we also attribute the idea of "Chaos" and the "Void" to the Umibozu, then it certainly can line up with your theory, as additionally, I can imagine Imu in this way to be a "Dark" Nika. Unbound in form and appearance as the darkness has no real "form" or shape, so the appearances it takes can vary widely.
Similarly in the Ohara library there were some other planets around the Earth the One Piece universe.
So it's likely that each Gorosei including Imu might get energy source from their respective planets.
The most important bit about the Gorosei is actually present in their name itself. 'Gorosei' literally translates to 'Five Elder Stars' or 'Five Elder Planets.' Given that one of them is named Saturn, it can now be assumed that the other four are named after planets as well. It is a known fact that the people of the One Piece world live on planet Earth, and so it is most likely not included among the Gorosei, which would mean the remaining of the elders will most likely be named Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter, with Saturn, who was recently revealed, being the fifth and final Elder Star.
In ancient times, only five planets were believed to be observable from Earth and these planets were thought to be revolving around planet Earth itself. If the Gorosei are the five planets, then the one they worship would be the Earth and, in this case, that would be the sovereign of the world, Imu. Earth represents mother nature and what's interesting is the fact that if the word Imu is spelled backwards, it literally translates to "mother sea" in Japanese.
Mother Sea is the reincarnation of nature itself and, as recently mentioned by Dr. Vegapunk, hates those who have consumed Devil Fruits since they go against the natural order of things. This is why they end up sinking into the ocean. This clearly implies that Oda based the power of the World Government on this olden model that was once followed in the real world as well. Imu is mother nature or planet Earth while the Five Elders are the five planets orbiting around it. This also ties directly into the struggle for power between the Ancient Kingdom and the 20 Kings.
it's discord's own function, they said it was spam
What's even more shocking is the fact that One Piece's connection to these celestial bodies had already been drawn long ago. Fans knew quite a while ago that the races of Shandia, Birka, and Skypiea come directly from the moon. After running out of resources, they descended to the earth and decided to settle there. Initially, only the Skypieans and the Birkans lived on the Sky Islands, while the Shandians lived on the Blue Sea.
However, thanks to the Knock-Up Stream, they were knocked into the sky as well. More importantly, it was recently revealed that Luffy is none other than the Sun God himself. This is especially interesting when compared to the deity that the Gorosei currently worship and that is the Earth. In ancient times, it was believed that the earth was at the center and these five geocentric bodies revolved around it. However, it was then later found out that the sun is actually at the center of the universe, with all the planets revolving around it.
What's more, the three Ancient Weapons that were created by the people of the Ancient Kingdom also draw connections to the planets. Uranus, the only one of the Ancient Weapons to not have been revealed yet, holds the name of a planet. Meanwhile, Poseidon or Neptune is yet another power that fans already know is an Ancient Weapon in the One Piece world.
Finally, Pluton draws a connection to Pluto, the last planet and the solar system. All of these planets actually revolve around the sun, meaning Luffy, being the Sun God, needs to dismantle the current system and replace it with the new and the actual order. This will only happen when Luffy, who is the Sun God, will bring about a Dawn that will enlighten the entire world.

When Gold Roger and his crew were sailing across the One Piece world, they kept a mysterious object aboard their ship.
Every time the Oro Jackson was shown, it would have an enormous egg with polka dots on it. With the disbandment of the Roger Pirates, the fate of both their ship and this egg is unknown.
When Roger was about to be executed, he claimed that he had left all of his spoils gathered in one place. In addition to the legendary One Piece, this would likely include all the treasures and valuables he collected throughout his life, among which the egg could certainly be counted. It also stands to reason that the egg has hatched by now -- after all, it was last seen over 24 years ago before Roger was executed. Whatever type of creature is contained within, it has had plenty of time to break out of its shell and grow to maturity.
It should be noted that Roger's egg is unlikely to be directly connected to the One Piece. Roger didn't find out the nature of Joy Boy's legacy until his crew arrived on the then-unnamed island, by which point the egg was already aboard the Oro Jackson. He may have realized that his crew arrived too early, but that would imply he thought hatching the egg was an unrelated matter and probably wasn't counting on the egg's involvement.
In any case, if the egg did hatch into a dragon, then it would make even more sense for it to be on Laugh Tale. Dragons are well-known in mythology for being protective of hoards of treasure. Even if it's not intentionally guarding One Piece, it could very well be guarding the rest of the treasure Roger left on the island.
Or can this be another Ancient weapon
Yeah it is recorded message morgon confirm it
I believe That was Gear 2 weakness not Gear 5
Nico Robin need to have powerful haki if she has, with her Hana Hana no mi devil fruit she would be simply overpowered.
With it she could easily sprout many Haki armor hands or other body parts to fight opponents
Laugh Tale inside a whale
Luffy’s adventure being first island was inside Laboon an island whale,
The Straw Hats enters New World welcomed by island whales,
Viola’s DF destruction power is whale shaped tears.
The Ponegliff in Zou is inside a whale shaped tree.
So Many examples which leads me that Laugh Tale is inside a whale.
Enies Lobby, Impel Down and Old Marine Ford triangles a current of water inside them so it might also be where the whale might be
hear me out, on april 4th oda may release a chapter with the elders coming into alignment to send a powerful force towards luffy
irl The next planetary alignment takes place on April 4, 2024
Yes, that’s what the note was explaining. resolefildne was implying that it happened in G5 as well. Luffy has a weakness w/G5 but it’s not literal life force
As we know, many characters in One Piece, the way they laugh is taken from the name of their fruit…Teach's laugh is "ZEHAHAHA." What fruit applies to his laughter?
Answer: There is a mythical creature called Bai-Ze, and it is called in Japan, Hakutaku. If we combine the first and last letters of [the creature's] names…we will get ZEHA, which is Teach's laugh, and the strange thing is that this creature has many things that literally apply to Teach.
The Bai-Ze is a spiritual being that is described as a tiger, sheep, or lion…It has several horns and has three faces: one on the front and two on the sides. Each face has 3 eyes. If you notice, the flag of Teach's crew is three skulls. A skull on the front and two skulls on the sides, and he also has three guns. According to the legend, Bai-Ze has three souls, and this explains why Teach ate two extra Fruits. Each demon from a Fruit has a soul!
The most common belief is that the Bai-Ze tiger has [lived for] several centuries, and this explains why Shanks said that he was surprised at how Teach managed to scratch his eye. So maybe Teach transformed into the Bai-Ze (the tiger) and surprised Shanks.
If this theory came true, Teach would be able to collect mighty Fruits of each of the three types:
Zoan Fruit: Bai-Ze Fruit
Logia Fruit: the Darkness Fruit
Paramecia Fruit: Earthquake Fruit
Mentioning Kraken fruit as a mythical zoan is not matching because Shanks got three scars from BB.
Which leaves Cerberus out of loop because of Thriller Bark ARC.
What other characters have a laughter that is tied to their df? Oda has given a lot of characters their own unique laughter.
Luffy shihihi hito hito no mi model Nika
Whitebeard gurarara gura gura no mi
Brook Yohohoho Yomi Yomi no mi
Gecko Moria Kishihihi Kage Kage no mi
Kaidou Worororo Uo uo no mi
Whitebeard’s a perfect example. Brook kinda fits too. But I’d argue Luffy, Moria, and Kaido are a bit of a stretch unless I’m missing something in the kanjis used in their laughter and their df’s name. Either way, there’s at least one other example of laughter=df-name
Sorry couldn't remember any others
This was plenty dw 👍
i saw this theory a while ago and i love it
more believable than the cerberus one
Yeah I read that too, about Baize having three souls or smt allowing the user to get multiple fruits.
There's also something else linking an user's laughter to their devil fruit, the fact that failed artificial fruits SMILE affect your laughter
Laugh tale is in heaven
best theory yet
bro finally i get to see actual theories instead of kuina being mihawk☠️
Laugh tale is in heaven because it is located at he ends of the seas and in greek mythology at the end of the seas are located the ,makarioi nisoi, meaning islands of the dead heros commonly said Elysium fields or just heaven, first mentioned in odyssey of homer. In odyssey you could go alive to the realm of the dead. There has to be a connection with the Elysium because both are located at the ends of the seas. Moreover i want to add that something else that is at the end of the seas is the rising and setting sun. And in some maps and in vicky e viking that oda likes the sun is located at the end of he sea and in maps and when they reach it. The heavens is mentioned a lot of time in the story by characters like oden.
Hello
stopped at laugh tale is in heaven cause wtf💀
Yo what if their will be a swordsman with a sea prism stone sword🤯
!theories @night hazel cool idea, but unless you’ve got an extensive theory on it, it’s probably best to keep shorter ideas like that in #manga or #manga-serious

I think "The will of D is to be free"...through liberation.
@iron zephyr lots of people have different ideas on what the will of D means. Per the channel’s description, do you have any evidence/reasoning to support your claim?
I guess from what I interpret,
Luffy is all about adventures and being free, and that to him is liberating which is why he's pirate.
Dragon is trying to bring freedom to the people by liberating the world from the WG. He made the vow to carry on the Will of Ohara in chapter 1066. He was also freedom fighter.
Nico Olvia translates to Victory of the people, peace.
The drums of liberation is the sign of that freedom to come.
@sick spear as I’ve already asked you and others previously, please use #manga or #manga-serious for short one-line takes. Read the channel’s description.
My theory is that green bull took big mom and kaido to impel down and that there will be another jail break and they will all be free
that just isn't possible he fled wano and Kaido/BM were underneath wano in lava.... and he was alone without any backup
One Piece is a series that often sees characters survive extremely fatal situations, but author Eiichiro Oda has explained why so few characters die in his long-running series. Until the recently concluded Wano arc, characters would often suffer fake-out deaths like Alabasta's Pell and Igaram and Bon Clay in Impel Down, only to appear in later episodes or on the manga's cover pages. However, there is one big reason why One Piece's author avoids killing off characters.
There have been enough fake deaths throughout One Piece's storyline that it eventually became a running gag that any supposedly dead character would return. While there have been exceptions, such as Ace's tragic death, Oda has revealed the reason why characters don't usually die is his love of drawing celebrations and parties.
Oda (2018): The reason I don't want to draw scenes where people die is because I want to draw a party after the battle. If someone dies, you can't have an enjoyable party. A party is my ideal form of friendship. I want to end with One Piece with a big party.
Grand celebrations filled with food, drinks, and laughter often bookmark the end of the series' most significant arcs. The Straw Hat Crew's intervention often changes the lives of citizens who have been oppressed by One Piece's despicable villains for years (sometimes decades). Luffy has brought about liberation throughout his journey, and times of grand celebration usually follow, especially at the end of arcs like Alabasta, Skypiea, and Wano. As Oda explained, if beloved characters died and stayed dead, the endings of those arcs would be less joyous than they were.
One Piece is usually guilty of portraying characters meeting fateful ends only to reveal they ultimately survived. Vivi's bodyguard, Pell, survives carrying a city-destroying bomb that explodes at point-blank range during Alabasta's tearful ending. The trend isn't exclusive to early arcs, either. Pound, the 25th ex-husband of Big Mom, attacks his powerful stepson, Oven, to save the lives of his daughter and her happy new family. A giant flaming blade descended upon him as he viewed his grandson for the first time in a seemingly emotional death. Their sacrifices were often necessary for their arc's happy ending, but their loss didn't damper the ending's celebrations. Still, they both survived to show up again in the series.Eiichiro Oda has become a master of creating emotional storylines filled with tears and triumph over the 25 years of One Piece's serialization. Creating backstories filled with heartbreak and suffering makes moments of happiness and partying feel more substantial and earned. Many citizens in One Piece's world have gone through hell, which is likely why Eiichiro Oda has so much fun drawing his characters living life to the fullest after hard-earned battles instead of grieving for their lost comrades, even if this means that One Piece's characters rarely stay dead.
So decide it for yourselves who can be dead , which is author's desire.
Please explain briefly about your quote .
Currently from the manga it isn't enough data about Vegapunk's death unless a solid confirmation from the story
To begin with Dr. Vegapunk’s recording continuing to play. It’s also confirmed that this message was recorded sometime long ago in the past, as Vegapunk Shaka and the other Satellites can also be seen in the recording.
The issue then claims that Saturn communicates with the other 4 Gorosei members here via some sort of telepathy, which is most likely related to their powers. They ask him if Dr. Vegapunk is really dead, which Saturn says he believes is the case given how Kizaru attacked him. This can likely be taken as official confirmation that Dr. Vegapunk has indeed died. The Gorosei then say that his death likely triggered the message, which is broadcasting from the Labo-Phase.
Please one sentence isn't enough about your argument also read the description of this theory server.
Emporio Ivankov and Monkey D. Dragon are also seen in the Kamabakka Queendom, with the latter pondering Shaka’s last words to him.
Im pretty sure that Vegapunk did actually die because on the panel that the recording started playing there was a heartrate monitor and it flatlined as soon as the message atarted playing. It could entirely be someone elses but who else would vegapunk have on a heartrate monitor next to the monitor he used to record his death message. im not sure if im using this channel right if not sorry
Some of you guys can write like 500 Pagés essays of one piece like nothing
Just elaborate like this will give deeper proof answers 😊
Buggy is from the Red Nose bloodline ,Roger Pirates laugh at Laugh Tale cuz of something there (maybe a red Sakura tree,a flag or statue) resemble a huge red nose like Buggy's ,Laugh Tale is known as Red Nose Land ,which is also the only part of Red Line that was separated from it,also Red Line was originally called Red Nose Line.
One Piece in the series might have same function as Bifrost in Norse mythology,to travel between Realms, the main story right now is Midgard and Elbaf was the first Giants settlements in Midgard, they come from Jotunheimr until One Piece suddenly unusable (maybe out of power ) ,Powers like Sun God Nika's might be needed to activate it just like Ancient Giant Robot.
Loki have Mjolnir in his possession but it's powers might be depleted, and the battery might also be Sun God Nika's power.
Fax , and it seems like ai
If a big banquet is luffy's dream and that's how one piece ends, pretty much a big L.
who thinks nami and zoro will be shipped zami
After this manga chapter I was thinking about how Luffy is going to be able to beat the five elders. Taking into account that he hasn't been able to hurt Saturn yet, dealing with five opponents with that amount of strength doesn't seem possible unless there is something we don't know yet. And that thing in my opinion is the ancient robot. Considering that it can be controlled by Luffy and that it has ancient technology, maybe it has unkown abilities to hurt them and fight them back.
I know this theory hasn't that much info to back it up but I cannot think of anything else.
Hear me out
Robin is Roger's daughter
Roger said the one who will find the one piece is his son
but it will be fulfilled in Oda's way by doing it in a different way
it will be his daughter
Kinda intriguing how these zoans work in a group way
Oda personally and secretly ships Nami and Luffy evidence is a slice of life manga having Luffy, Nami and Usopp
If we go by the assumption that imu can bestow the gorosei these zoans powers
So i'm wondering if imu powers work like Big moms
Imu being some sort of alien like Kaguya was, or being some sort of primordial entity that's responsible for the creation of the Devil Fruits.
However, this suggests that Imu was simply one of the 20 kings responsible for founding the government. This makes me think that Imu, was most likely, a human.
Imu is probably just a powerful mythical zoan user(a dragon or a demon?) that had the Op Op no Mi immortality surgery performed on him/her.
Sabo referring to the Gorosei's powers as "hellish" suggests that they aren't devil fruit users, but instead something else. I highly doubt that's true. The silhouettes also remind me of other zoan silhouettes, like Jabra and Lucci's in Enies Lobby. I doubt they are anything more than mythical zoans or even regular zoans.
many theories about the Gorosei being some centuries old entities who were present in the Void Century. They could be a few hundred years old(maybe they also had the surgery performed on them?), but they aren't that old. They were literally talking about how the government failed to acquire the Nika fruit after all.
Overall, while Imu and the Gorosei definitely are major characters who are connected to lots of important things in the story's overall lore, evidence seems to suggest that they are just normal humans, not primordial sea gods, not aliens, just humans.
Of course this could easily be proven wrong, but for the time being, I feel like it's heavily implied that they are just normal humans with fruits.
Unfortuantely for you the Alien stuff will be around considering we already have the the connections to the Moon ppl (via Enel and the discovery of a civilization) and the Planets. If you subscribe to the theory of the strawhat logo upside is a secret message of Aliens in an UFO (this one intrigues me).
Yeah ok i get that part but i just didnt like it shoehorned at the last minute
Heard the theory that Vegapunk wants to show something visual that the gorosei might all be shown to the world, it's very unlikely but it would be so satisfying, ripping off the mask of the "gods" showing they're devils
In the cover story it could be the CP0 Agents Guernica and Maha surviving
Instead of Kadio and Big Mom because honestly if they are alive, they will become Emperors again for sure.
Hey man, could you please remove the Naruto references you’re making here? It’s a spoiler that can’t be discussed in these channels except in #other-series Edit: deleted it for now since I haven’t heard back in a few hours. Just please be mindful to avoid such spoilers in the future
It’s a cool idea, do you mind elaborating on that theory a little bit more? How long ago do you think he’s been planning this? Did something happen recently to trigger the need to make this elaborate ploy?
Could you elaborate a bit? Why do you think Guernica and Maha are being referenced in that cover story?
So i got this from another theory. The guy who made the picture of Nika was Guernica who was believed to be killed by Kaido but he still managed to make a photo. Maha was shoot by Izo but here comes the thing. Oda is not the wasteful type to just introduce mysterious characters and kills them off like this especially what i like is how Joseph was the only survivor. Guernica talks about fate and how he envies Drake for having his own justice so he secretly hates the Gorosei too. I just feel the way how they were referenced was amazing. Plus Guernica is a major cause for Nika Transformation in the end so i doubt Oda made him cause it for nothing. Fate has also brought Guernica into that situation in the end.
And i think Guernica talked about fate a lot and the way how he talks for example saying to Izo "We will surely meet again one day" goes to show that he has a vision for the future. It was a mysterious character just likd Maha and i feel like they have more to offer.
So i had a feeling Oda would not kill them off plus why not all 3 of them? Why only 2? Why did the third one remain in the plot? It is weird how Oda did it
Well I didn't come up with it someone said it in a tekking stream but I'd say that VP didn't know that the gorosei would be there so it'd be a happy coincidence that when he shows a live feed of egghead they'll be seen. As for the timeframe when he recorded the message I would probably place it around when Shaka called Dragon, I wouldn't see him recording it way in advance but thinking you're about to die and setting up a plan seems like something he'd do
I would’ve guessed a few months ago when cipher Pol agents kept coming over to Egghead to investigate. But what you’re saying makes a bit more sense.
Thanks guys for providing more context to your theories
Naaa Gorosei gonna do a team attack on Luffy 😭
I have a theory that says wg kidnapped lili, because she had something important about finding the one piece. Oda said that he watched a spesific anime and there are some things not like similar, but i am feeling they are hints. I am saying that, if you watch this anime it has clues about luffys hat and maybe something that Lili had. Some things, that when you combine them, its the way to find one piece. But i have observed that, particularly the wg is not worried about anyone finding one piece. And i asked my self why? Maybe because imu sama has this big hat of joyboys locked in her treasury? Maybe thats why they are feeling safe of a meta revolution? Holding the last clue for one piece?
the one piece is not supposed exist at that point right? since its something related to joyboy who lived during lili's lifetime and all
I've always thought that the "D" middle name was actually a smile. It's something that can't get lost in translation no matter what the language of the person reading the manga.
Fun fact, every D bearer died with a smile
According to you every D clan members died with a smile so how did Cobra D. Nefertari died?
Yeah that's the only flaw, we don't see his face when he died. Though even Luffy smiled at rogue town
I mean saying "every character with a D in their name died with a smile" would still be accurate
Since Cobra, to my knowledge, despite being a D, never has the D. shown in his name
I’m high asf rn, and this is conspiracy me talking,
I truly believe the world of One Piece is a parallel of what’s happening in our world today. A certain “Goresei” controlling how the world thinks, controls wars, controls civilizations, etc.
And Oda will reveal that in the next chapter.
I would uh, steer away from real life politics as a subject like that
Might ruffle some feathers in here, and nobody wants things to get heated
But there’s literal parallels between what’s going on in our world today and One Piece
I wouldn't doubt that but I still think such a topic should be avoided
People get really upset when it comes to real life politics, and this is neither the time nor the place for that stuff
If someone gets triggered off of a theory, they just need to log off. It’s just a theory 😭😭😭😭😭
Man, regardless of what the One Piece is, one thing is for certain:
It is going to be the most spoiled thing in anime history. You will not be able to escape knowing what the One Piece is
if vegpunk dies, do you think other vegapunks would go down with him?
I firmly believe that all of the admirals will betray the WG in the final war. I bet Akainu will create his own version of the Marines, Fujitora allies with Garp , Kizaru is still unpredictable where he is going
Precisely, exactly why it's now or never to follow One Piece and actually be able to experience the thrill of being a OP fan before the biggest reveal of the story
hey this channel is more for longer and thought out theories and the discussion of them, if you just quick thoughts but still want a decent discussion around them stick to #manga-serious
Since there’s an elder named after a planet, let’s assume the other elders as well as imu are named after planets. Now how many planets in the solar system? 9 including Pluto. 5 elders, 1 imu, 3 ancients weapons. I think that the elders and imu either have a power of an ancient weapon each, or are reincarnated ancient weapons like shirahoshi. When ||the planets are alligning||, does he mean to summon not only the elders, but imu and the ancient weapons? (or perhaps im tweaking)
we know this, but i was tryna relate/connect them to the ancient weapons
i mean yeah thats fair, their might be a connection and you think that there will be a moment of "the planet alligning" what ever that might mean, possible
and you think Imu represent "earth" in this case?
yeah
#manga-theories message I've actually written an analysis of that
The 10 minutes window is definitely a trap from vegapunk to draw out the gorosei.
He made the weapon that destroyed lulusia, he knows 10 minutes is way too long
i have seen others bring that idea up and its definitely possible but thats more a short idea so it fits more into #manga-serious
Oh thanks , if i may just get an answer here, what do ppl think about this idea ?
i have seen people arguing for and against it
One piece universe is completely different from ours The world is an as-of-yet-unnamed planet on which One Piece takes place. While similarif not identical to real-life Earth in many aspects, it is drastically different in others.
The abdundance of water in one piece earth, the moon's ancient inhabitants referred to planet as the ,Blue Star.
Ohara's Tree of Knowledge, before its destruction, contained a geocentric model of the world with six natural satellites (which presumably includes the world's moon), one of which had a second body orbiting it.
Each Gorosei might be named after 5 planets which leaves one planet moon alone.
Imu can be representing earth due to Cobra's relevance of Imu as one of the twenty kings before Void Century
Just a little headcanon theory I thought of about why Dorry and Broggy came to Egghead to pick up the SH crew.
They were ordered by Loki who is still heartbroken due to Lola (BM daughter) running away from his marriage proposal. Loki knows the legends of Joyboy bringing laughter and smiles around him (giants have long lifespan so there are just a few generations of giants in between the time Joyboy was around so some giants in Elbaf would know the story/abilities Joyboy has) and Loki wants Luffy to help cure him of his depression with Luffys G5 heartbeats, basically inspiring him with music.
This would line up with Luffy/Shanks re-union and they'd throw a gigantic party (pun-intented) together with the giants in Elbaf. Brook would be a key factor composing the sickest mixtape since the void century together with Apoo, whom I think would also re-appear in Elbaf (Apoo was such a bro with the Numbers of beast pirates so I'd say he would also get along with the giants of Elbaf). I also dont think Apoo witnessed/heard G5 luffy during Onigashima raid (correct me if I'm wrong) so after hearing G5 Luffy's heartbeat it could have some special interactions with Apoo's devil fruit and after hearing it would cause Apoo want to join or atleast team up with SH crew. Chopper would also get a moment to shine where he researches the effects of music for healthcare.
jumping on your last point: Nika's smile-bringing skills, chopper's goal of finding the ultimate cure, and "laughter is the best medicine" seem to line up very well.
Didn't Shanks make it clear Elbaf was a quick stop and he was about to leave when Kid rolled up?
Thousandth sunny on the back of his coat
Franky's bounty poster is the thousandth sunny, coincidence? I THINK NOT!!!!!!!
I think so? It's my guess still that shanks knows the future somewhat and knows where the poneglyphs maps will be and let the worst generation do the leg work. Same with black beard.
Bro his ass dead already
Indeed this why i am looking forward to it all. How powerful they are.

@ashen surge which part of the story is the Caribou manga ss from?
The caribou ss about pluton is from post-war Wano. When Luffy is conscious again and Robin asks if he wants Pluton, and he quickly says no.
I have a theory of how the final war arc will start and it will start when bb streams to the world him killing shanks and claiming to be the king of the world and he does as he sits on the empty throne which everyone sees most importantly being luffy who was just about to leave to go claim the one piece and while he is leaving he sees bb address to the world and in that he sees shanks die who he just had a reunion with and the red hair pirates not too long ago while at elbpah and that drives luffy off the edge which results in him and the strawhats set course to mary geoise and that's when u cut to the revolutionary army who now has to change their plan. From that point idk but this is the end of my short theory.
guys I have good theory
about imu and the five elders
here is my theory it is kind of an idea
The Goresei are the ancient kingdoms version of the seraphims, their authority chips got overridden and Imu seized control - along with the ancient weapons. The ancient robot is the ancient kingdoms version of Kuma / Pacifistas
Maybe that’s why the don’t take damage. Something Lunarian related
i have a theory, so, at the near end of pre timeskip (enies lobby-marineford) luffy started changing clothes in each arc, then the timeskip happens. could that mean it could be the end of something? well, in post timeskip, since dressrosa, luffy started changing clothes AGAIN recently. so, could it mean the end of one piece is near? who knows.
To be able to control "cursed" sword, you need to have strong will and haki, you need to prove yourself worthy of that sword.
Zoro is currently struggling with Enma, which is one of the 21 great graded swords.
Imagine how much power you would need to be able to hold one of the cursed 12 supreme graded swords - which is exactly what gorosei nasujurou is doing with Shodai kitetsu(one of the 12 supreme graded swords which is considered to be the most cursed out of the Kitetsu line).
So if anyone ever had doubts about Gorosei's strength, there is no question now. They are insanely strong.
it doesn't move really
yeah but its just a theory
A GAME THEORY (i apoligize in advance)
maybe
a series theory*
Doesn't roll off the toung the same way tbf.
interesting
I mean technically One piece odyssey exists so i'm not wrong
when it is dropping
I'm now officially Akainu hater
Real
it's a game.. you can buy it..SO BUY IT RN
we coo
I've always hated him even before marine ford because my friends told me what he did
YESSS
this won't bring ace back
Look here mother fu if I was in the one piece universe im killing law eating the op op and then killing akainu
dumbASS akainu is hero of society killing these pirates scum
Better yet I'll take brooks fruit then go on a fruit eating rampage cause I'm already dead and also the soul soul makes me come back to life after death
Speaking of which why TF didn't brook eat another devil fruit like why he could've done it his original fruit would've brought him back to life
I'm going to school bye now
This is for theories right?

Oda talked about this with bonney. Basically the devil fruits bend to the wishes of their user and seek them out. As with the case with Bonny wanting to be older and wanted to be able to use nika’s power. Because the fruits bend to the user it’s most likely that brook feels satisfied with the one he has now and doesn’t fully desire another ability since he just wants to ||reunite with laboon||
Ah
so i made a theory, more a collection of evidence pointing towards something, but posted it on reddit. would it be ok to post that link here to avoid filling the chat with several paragraphs?
Also has oda even explained how black beard got a second fruit I think the eating a second devil fruit and u die is a hoax I believe that like u said it the user desires u can but also with Blackbeard's fruit he can absorb things so even if the two devil fruit is a hoax or not I believe he was able to because he absorbed the fruit in his fruit instead of eating it
And also the thing with laughtale I believe only certain devil fruits aka luffys and the crew of the true pirate king can't get sick and will be able to go there cause roger laughed when he got there maybe he realized hes not the true pirate king and that the reason hr started the pirate age is so that thr true pirate king can get ti laughtale and get the one piece I mean luffy has two dreams become the pirate king and make the world a place where people can do what tgey want like eat whay they want and nit be governed by peoplr like kaido or doffy and crocodile so maybe the one piece is tge thing thatll make him
Do that cause why else would roger start the pirate age one other for laughs it makes no sense cause roger is also based off a pirate that did the same thing irl hid a bunch of treasure and as he's being executed he said go find my hidden treasure or smth like that but they both did the same thing they started a pirate age so maybe the reason roger did it is either for laughs or so the true pirate king can get the one piece but thats just what i think
But yeah I'm just ranting my theories but I think they make since cause a lot of the pirates in the one piece universe are based off irl pirates so yeah
here's a fun one i thought of: luffy isn't going to fight blackbeard at laughtale. it'll be the strawhats VS cross guild. we have the first pirate villain of the series, buggy, the first huge obstacle for luffy to win against, crocodile, and zoro's EoS opponent, mihawk. i think blackbeard is going to storm mariejois and try to kill imu. if imu has a zoan, as we've seen the elders have, then blackbeard would then have all three types of devil fruits given he wins against imu: dark dark for logia, quake quake for paramecia, and imu's fruit for zoan. then, after luffy wins against cross guild, the final fight of the series will be luffy VS blackbeard for the fate of the world.
Yeah sounds right
quick question. on pinned . the theory about crocus being the man marked in flames. why was it dissaproven by chapter 1089? im rereading that ch and dont see anything noteworthy. just 1 panel of laboon screeching
I would like to present my evidence for why the Red Line is fake. I'm not sure how well accepted this may already be since I only recently caught up to start theorizing.
The Whales
Island whales' migratory paths are disrupted by the RL, we see the same markings on many of the larger whales the Straw Hats arrive in the Grand Line around that we see on Laboon, as though they have collectively been trying to break through. These paths could be taught generationally, they could be following a magnetic path interrupted by the RL, or depending on how long island whales live some might have the path in their living memory. Either way, it's clear that something has gotten in their way and the old or brave are mad enough about it to literally throw themselves at the problem.
Whales in particular are seen several times throughout the story as key figures in architecture or design, usually accompanying the beginning of or entrance to something and always in a positive way. Orange Town, Whitebeard's ship, the Mokomo Dukedom, the entrances to both Paradise and the New World, and even the Sea Kings note that the whales are excited at the birth of Shirahoshi. So I really think the behavior of these whales is worth paying attention to with the new dawn coming.
Reverse Mountain, and Why
There is nothing natural about Reverse Mountain. Even very forceful water currents would not cut out such clean lines up the surface of a slope over time, that's just not how eroding into a mountain works. For it to be fully decorated with clean walls cut out for the water to flow up seems like an engineered outcome, because who would bother to climb up a mountain with fatally rushing currents to put archways up after the water is flowing and making the route even more dangerous by narrowing the path? Beyond that, Reverse Mountain is part of the Red Line, meaning it's of a material that is stated to be indestructible. It was either shaped by old technology or created supernaturally in its current state.
Before RM was created, someone knew that the water currents of the 4 Blues would be flowing towards that central point. They left an entrance but one that strictly limits the size of the ships that can enter it with stone archways that will smash apart boats made with pretty much any material available in the Blues. Just having a ship that's too tall risks breaking your mast, assuming it doesn't get stuck on the arch and cause a worse issue.
The currents forming the Grand Line being far too convenient, even if POSSIBLY natural. If the above is true, much more likely that the Grand Line formed as a purposeful result of merging the currents from the 4 Blues. This could be for a few reasons I can see:
-To separate the Blues while also maintaining a global water current system, preventing stagnation on a larger scale in each of the Blues if they were completely cut off.
-To allow those of sufficient power or influence to still be able to travel the world while cordoning off most others.
-To be able to better track those who do try to navigate the world on their own.
With the sudden and convenient creation of the Calm Belts, sailing from one Blue to another is impossible directly. Even if you make it into the Grand Line, your path will follow set routes based on a few moments of randomness. Your best way to cross is at government approved transfer points, and placing Marine outposts at islands surrounding RM entrances allows you to monitor anyone who follows the RM/GL route as well as having the bulk of your forces within the Grand Line itself, where any threats to the World Government have to sail around the entire world to reach their goal, assailed by Marines the entire time. Traditional navigation is pointless in the Grand Line so why would Marines bother with patrols in the traditional sense either, simply sailing a given area to see what they can find? By following news or military reports, the WG can calculate what path any given pirate crew is on and intercept them along that path, using an Eternal Pose that takes them in the right direction although the timing might not be precise because of the weather patterns in the GL.
Eve and the All Blue
Sunlight Tree Eve is stated to be the same type of tree as those of the Sabaody Archipelago, so it being stuck in the Red Line as opposed to surrounded by the same kind of land as the rest of its kin sticks out. This, coupled with the theory that Luffy will destroy the area of the Red Line above Fishman Island resulting in its destruction as well, leads me to believe that Eve is meant to provide ample sunlight and oxygen throughout the entire water column in at least one area of the world. It would handily align with a pocket of ocean that could support any and all life regardless of pressure needs. Sanji and Zef's All Blue. By just sailing a boat up to the tree to stick a knife into it you could slather yourself in its sap and free dive to any depth to fish, releasing a few corks from a coated or watertight container to take yourself back up while amply illuminated the entire way AND with something to keep your back to. A single cork could be sealed in a container on dry land, strapped to the base of that container with a few inches of rope, then tied to the belt or wrist to pop the seal, release the cork, and sail back up with the coating protecting you from the bends.
It is stopped from performing this duty by the Red Line, kept solely for use by those in Mariejois (the Celestial Dragons only breathe the air from atop the Red Line, where Eve's leaves would be producing the freshest oxygen) and the absolute necessity for Fishman Island down below, again to keep a continuous water current globally as well as a spawning point for their favorite slaves.
A small secondary theory tied into the above: The Trees Adam and Eve are likely meant to represent a universal father and mother respectively. Adam provides nigh indestructable building materials, giving protection. Eve brings light and oxygen, giving life. Here again a potential tie in to the All Blue.
So uh, yeah. The Red Line is fake and Imu made the Ancient Kingdom pay for it.
/end
are you saying that the red line is completely fake and doesn't exist?
No, that it is an artificial creation.
ah, fake as in not natural, got it. was confused there. solid theory! i can totally see it.
Thanks! The RL has always bugged me, now I feel confident in saying it shouldn't be there at all
i support the theory that luffy's dream is to destroy the red line. it accomplishes all of luffy's goals: helping sanji find the all-blue by merging the seas, free as many people as possible from their home seas, and making himself the most powerful and freest man of all
Who do you guys think backstabbed mihawk, if you are confused, oda said someone backstabbed mihawk in the latest sbs
I actually agree with the theory that Luffy's dream is to have the entire world throw a huge party. The SH and their allies throwing parties is enough of a trope that it's made it into the Odyssey RPG as a mechanic. One of our best early hints for Luffy as Nika was the Skypeia party. The SH think Luffy's goal is unreasonable because how can you get the ENTIRE world to all party at once? Meanwhile Chopper, naive and childish, is touched by the notion.
i love that theory as well. to coincide with that i once heard someone say that the one piece is all the materials to throw a worldwide party. not too sure about the one piece part, but i can for sure see luffy wanting to make the whole world party
This is a TOTAL potshot but given we've seen how Shanks could transmit a detailed message through Haki on Wano, it'd be cool if Luffy's Conqueror's Haki gets to the point he can unleash a worldwide message. Either a command to party or the announcement of the civil war's end in some way, which is probably about to ignite due to Sabo's influence combined with Vegapunk's message
Ye, that was the first thing that came to my head when i watched the gear 5 wano scene in the anime. Luffy can split the skies with his haki alone and it's just going to get stronger, though I don't think he can use it to send a message to the entire world, i definitely feel he could do something similar
Main reason I believe it MAY happen is we've seen the previous Pirate King as well as the effective successor to that role both use their influence to get a message out to the world, first with Roger's execution announcement and later with Whitebeard's death. Luffy even used his notoriety to get a message out to all the Straw Hats around the world.
It seems like this is a running theme. The best way to combat the WG may be to find ways to get information spread that they have no way of stopping.
Another theory that has been in my mind since the most current chapter is that i believe dragon would finally do attack marijoes during elbaf
If you think about it, after egghead, the WG is going to send everything they have against the SH, as they have already attacked a gorosei and an admiral, moreover they are somewhat responsible for vegapunks message, this is going to leave marijoes unprotected and is would be a perfect time for dragon and the revolutionaries to go and launch an attack on it
True, because similar things like this have happened to all the pirate king contenders, and seeing how powerful luffy is becoming, this is plausible.
And the slowmode timer is so long

That’s a long ass theory
Exactly
@zenith dragon per the channel’s description, do you have any in-sorry evidence/reasoning to support your claim? Edit: I’m going to delete this msg for now. Please feel free to repost your Warcury/Enel idea again but with the necessary evidence/reasoning to support it. Thank you
Source?( I agree on the enel one)
The origin of Devil Fruits, the Void Century, and the existence of the winged races, among many other things, are finally going to be revealed here, which brings Enel back into the fold as well. Enel holds secrets that are somewhat related to Dr. Vegapunk. The automata that were sent to the moon were created by a resident of Karakuri Island, which is where Vegapunk is from as well. In fact, on Egghead Island, fans get to see the automata working for Vegapunk.
Vegapunk, despite being smart, might not know everything there is to know about the automata, the winged races, and the truth about why they descended from the moon to the Earth. This is where Enel comes in and, given that this is a very important part of the story
Enel's return is almost certain at some point in the story and when that happens, we can expect a strong adversary for Luffy who has become much greater in terms of power, and, at the same time, a source of deep information about the races that live in the One Piece world. Of course, this can happen only if the Straw Hat Pirates go to the moon and, given that One Piece's adventurous scale is boundless.
The One Piece Soul Realm
The Red Line Is Fake

2 additional theory threads have been made:
1: [The One Piece Soul Realm] + [How To Kill The Gorosei]: https://discord.com/channels/164970986284777473/1197653024181604372
Discussion of 2 separate but very related theories. My theory is intended to be a comprehensive summary of all mentions and hints of separate realms from the "real world". I relate haki, devil fruits, and other topics to show why I think the One Piece may turn the world upside down by allowing interactions between 2 separate realms and potentially invalidating the entire idea of death. @night crag has a lot of similar ideas but expands on it in an interesting way by wondering if the Gorosei are already dead and can only be "killed" in the realm of the dead.
2: **The Red Line Is Fake: ** https://discord.com/channels/164970986284777473/1214957728179687434
Cale017's theory adds a great deal of detail and evidence to an idea many have pondered before: whether or not the red line was artificially created or not. He highlights a great deal of compelling evidence that the red line at the very least did not always exist on the planet.

the concept of a soul realm may not exist as a separate domain. Instead, souls and the afterlife might be integrated into the natural world in a different way:
Soul Integration: Rather than a distinct realm for souls, the souls of individuals in the One Piece world could be believed to integrate back into the natural cycle of life and energy, becoming part of the environment itself. This could be supported by the idea that certain characters in the series have been shown to inherit or carry on the will of those who have passed, suggesting a more interconnected relationship between the living and the deceased.
Reincarnation: Another counter-theory could propose that the concept of reincarnation is more prevalent in the One Piece universe. According to this idea, souls are believed to be reborn into new life forms, carrying with them the experiences and essence of their previous existence. This could explain the continued influence of past figures on the present storyline.
Alternatively, the absence of a soul realm could point to a more existential view of life and death in the One Piece world. Rather than a specific afterlife destination, characters may grapple with the significance of their actions and the impact they leave behind, emphasizing the importance of living meaningfully in the present.
And brooks fruit could just be a way for him to actively control the integration of his soul back into a body
Great thoughts and feel free to repost them in the thread about soul/death realm stuff!
idk how to do that, im new to theories
thank you
At this point attacking marjoa isn’t that big of a feat. It’s been attacked in the past: the iron giant, fisher tiger, Sabo and his revolutionaries, kuma, and low and behold the city is still standing.
And granted none of the attackers were at a 100% of totally destruction of the place. They were all just trying to get through it.
Lore?
I feel like this person cooked with this theory
She explains that the D clan could be living inside the red line because since the kingdom of dawn (joyboy's kingdom) was more advanced than egghead they could have used the same technology as walkthrough walls on egghead just in reverse, so that nothing can get in but things can escape
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfDrFCWIC_4
@bright sentinel it’s an interesting idea, but I’d recommend using #manga-serious for thoughts on future haki power-ups. Edit: deleted for now
This is quite a jumbled theory, it just comes to my mind so I didn't have time to sort the hints out:
The One Piece world has subterranean caves, and Laugh Tale is located under the sea floor
The D kingdom lived underground, they're separated from the surface world by the sea, they could not cross it because they're all Devil Fruit users
Nika/Joyboy was the first D member to bring the D clan out to the surface world, and that's why he's worshipped as "the Sun God"
20 kingdoms led by Imu feared the underground world would conquer the surface world, and that's the reason they made war with "the Devil under the world"
Imu defeated the D clan by closing the entrance hole to the underworld (by freezing it, flooding it, or manipulating Red Line in some kind)
The holes created by Imu (Enies Lobby, Lulusia) lead the seawater to fall into the remnants of the caves, under the sea floor, and the water simply get back up by other holes that's created in Void Century War
Pluton, just like its namesake, is a "ship" designed to explore and create underground caves
Knock up stream near Jaya is caused by gas escaping the underground caves, and the holes were created because Imu warred against the Shandians there in the past
The statement "Wano was connected with the rest of the world" means there's another underground entrance below Wano that's intentionally flooded to protect the D kingdom
Noah ship purpose was to carry D clan (who couldn't cross the sea) along with the fishmen to the surface world
The reason why everyone seems sure that the D clan will return after 800 years, is because it's impossible for Imu to completely destroy the caves, and they still exist underground
Oow okay.

Ayoooo
yeah I never really liked that conqueror's was something you needed to be born with

Wow that is actually a clever theory. It would time in some concepts regarding Wano and Noah. Would be a huge blind spot for fans if this proves true about the great kingdom being from the underworld. I mean everything about one piece takes places on the surface, the land the sea the sky, but we never considered anything below

I actually really like this theory since, technically 3 coordinates is normally enough to find one piece since you can just travel in a triangle. (Unless each poneglyph aren't each a complete coordinate but instead for example one is the first parts of the 4 coordinates and the 2nd is the 2nd part, etc) one poneglyph telling its depth would make a lot of sense, maybe there is more to each poneglyph than just a coordinate. There has been such a large focus on whats in and above, that the idea of below hasn't crossed my mind.
Yo I have an absolute wild theory for y'all
BB wins the throne and takes over the world as he plans to. And the final showdown is King of the world Marshall D Teach Vs Pirate King Luffy
but tbh it would be more cooler for one piece to be in the sky, because we already not too long ago had this theme with things being underwater(and by that i mean wano arc), and considering many people are waiting for urouge's and eneru's comeback it would make even more sense
tbh I don't think enel would come back. His story arch seems kinda complete, he ended up in a civilization where he is their god.
good point too, but imagine him reuinitng and visiting egghead island where vegapunk is searching for an infinite source of power/energy, and eneru is like the best person for this because of his devil fruit
yeah but by that logic of power and energy, ace's fruit would work also as infinite fuel.
If enel comes back it would be on Elbaf, since they seem someway connected to the sky islands
well maybe, but it's way more logical to use a literal electricity logia than a fire one cuz electricity is easier to use, plus the fire logia is now in hands of sabo and i dont think he would return soon lol
Also his arc isn't really complete since he found out the moon people decended to the world becuase of a lack of supplys, which enel himself would have issues with up there.
idk seems like too far of a stretch, since there probably is limits to enel's stamina.
him and or urouge making a comeback in elbaf would be the best thing ever
I mean he only needs minimal supplies, since he is just one person, and oda would have to show enel coming down or something., and a supply run doesn't seem like that good enough of a reason for him to appear story wise again, he would have to have a bigger reason for coming down.
There was also the murial of the achiencent weapons so he's learnt stuff up there that he could bring back
but why would he care
Well he has an empire of automota and nothing to do up there
Plus if he wants to grow his civilization he will need a lineage
he may return to the earth purely because of his ego and the lack of will to help the moon people, like again he powered their whole city accidentally sorta and he's not the type to help people out of kindness
and also the lightning island that urouge has seen is probably the best comparison to skypiea, because both at the start of the arc and from urouge seeing the island for the first time we see an old woman, and both of them have to do something with sky so
Urogue I feel would 100% turn back up around elbaf, specially since he hasn't turned up in a long long time
So this wild idea came to my head just now. So we know the gorosei can be summoned and transform when a pentacle appears on the ground. Pentacles lead me to believe that loadstar island takes the shape of a giant star like those seen on the pentacles the gorosei have. What if the load star island was like a giant ritual star or summoning star
This is just one of those crackpot theories i just need to get out of my mind lol
Or mayby even a giant summoning star we see the cultist thought they summoned satan with but was actually brook
Could oda be incorporating the Hollow Earth into the manga? Is that the true purpose of the three ancient weapons? To forge a path from the underworld to the surface?
Though that won’t explain the rising sea levels after Imu used it to destroy lulusia. Unless the water is from the underworld and is seeping into the surface world due to the bedrock being broke and creating breaches.
The thing about Enel cover story is the idea that automatas were built under the moon surface. If there's civilizations inside the moon, it could be a hint that One Piece planet has similar feature
I still have no idea how the rising sea level works, but the falling water must flow somewhere, and that could only work if there's something underneath the sea floor
Highly likely that the poneglyphs are created because they won't find anything on the surface even if they search for it, because the entrance is underwater
!theories @bright sentinel unless you have in-story evidence/reasoning to back that up, please ask that in #manga-serious

my theory on devil fruits
devil fruits originally came from a place called the Great Kingdom. Vegapunk, explains that devil fruits contain the "inherited will" of the Great Kingdom. This theory implies that devil fruits are manifestations of the desires and powers of the ancient civilization.
Another theory proposes that devil fruits are the result of a continuous cycle of reincarnation. They are believed to be reborn into new fruits after the death of the previous user. This theory suggests that devil fruits have a spiritual essence that allows them to transfer their powers to new hosts.
Vegapunk has his own explanation for devil fruits. According to him, devil fruits are simply a possibility for human evolution. He states that all the devil fruits that exist are just variations of a single fruit, and they grant different powers based on the user's imagination and desires.
But it could be anything, as this is all my speculation
@maiden trail sharing a link is fine, but we ask that people add a short summary of what the link contains in text. Could you please add a short summary of the theory being proposed here and the evidence/reasoning you think supports it? Edit: deleted for now
Idk about the fruits being the variations of a single fruit cause there was a whole encyclopedia on them which Sanji and Blackbeard were confirmed to have, but your theory about a devil fruit granting powers based on the the users imagination kinda makes sense. What I think is that a single devil fruit will give a power based on the name of the devil fruit but could differ slightly based on the imagination of the user. For example the person who ate the giraffe fruit before kaku (this info is from the Ace novel which isn't confirmed to be canon) looked way different than kaku in his full zoan form.
Ye, this is quite plausible
People just forgetting they already ordered his assassination in wano
not to mention the multitude of plot points being set up for Elbaf + BB Showdown I can't see oda just throwing it out for marineford repeat
yea it's highly unlikely but the argument for capturing him might come with the msg VP is about to send. if he gas up the Nika stuff to the point of no return then Gorosei might choose to go with another public execution to contain hopes of rebellion.
To whoever has wisdom, what do you think:
Luffy’s dream
This has really caught my attention. Luffy told shanks his dream when he was still a child; Shanks was willing to bet on the new age because Luffy’s words were exactly what Roger said, how old was Roger? Who knows… … …A big party? Really? A kid wants to party? Doubtful; I believe luffy decided to become the king of the pirates after he told shanks, sabo, and ace his dream, right?, luffy wanted to be the king because shanks didn’t let luffy go with him, probably because he knew that someone with that dream should forge his own path, right? “Come find me when you’re great…” shouldn’t his dream have to do with what he was going through when he was still a child? When he was with Garp and then Ace and Sabo; I don’t think he remembers dragon but certainly Garp; you think he felt trapped and helpless? Is evident that is about freedom, because being the king is just the means to an end; what do you think? Something like “I’m gonna free the whole world” everyone around him was in some sort of trouble, and if you really don’t want to be a hero, why save everyone who is in need? I don’t believe he sees in terms of good or bad; even when the people are bad (whiskey peak) zoro told him they were bad guys and Luffy said, don’t care, they feed us so you pay… he doesn’t want to see himself as a hero (or he probably just don’t) but he proceeds to engage in heroic acts; what? Does this make sense to anyone? I’m just trying to make a little sense out of it.
Plus what would be the theming here ? they aren't strong enough to save luffy here but would be able to save him from even tougher situation ?
that's why it's unlikely but realistically SH don't have what it takes to actually win rn.
to win outright no but they don't have to do that they just need to stall for a short period of time and they have giant backups plus VAs are tied down dealing with pacifistas.

rising sea is because imu has a water assymilation fruit, like pika and the stone assymilation fruit,
lulusia was turned to water via awakening and so when an entire column of water plus the matter living on top of it were turned to water, imu doesnt have to 'render' it anymore and the rest can be used
I really hope the 5 Elders will not be rushed
All 5 of them have an aspect so i hope they will have their territories later. One of them is in charge of Justice. Maybe Akainu will fight him too once the truth of Imu comes out.
Akainu will unleash his rage on someone but it might be on Blackbeard rather than the gorosei/Imu for using him. It'll be interesting to see who angers him more because it'll say a lot about how far his beliefs in the World Government's purpose go: the most chaotic and powerful pirate since Roger, showing he still prioritizes maintaining world balance from pirates or the Gorosei for manipulating him, showing he hates being used more than anything else

There are several reasons why the marines could potentially have a civil war. Here are some possible explanations:
Uncovering the truth: When Luffy or Vegapunk uncovers the truth of the void century and shares it with the world, it could lead to a division within the marines. The truly good marines who believe in justice may join an alliance to fight against corruption and those who wish to maintain the status quo.
Buster call incidents: One of the most feared things in the One Piece universe is a Buster call, which involves sending 10 huge Navy Battle ships and 5 Vice Admirals to destroy an island. If there are disagreements within the marines about the use of such extreme measures, it could lead to a civil war.
Garp's plan: There is a theory that Monkey D. Garp, a prominent marine, is planning a civil war against the marines. If this theory holds true, it could be a significant factor in causing internal conflict within the organization.
Operation Utopia: In the One Piece storyline, there is an event called Operation Utopia where a complete civil war breaks out. During this battle, rebel forces charge in to defeat the royal army and force the king of the Arabasta Kingdom to step down. This event could serve as a catalyst for a larger conflict within the marines.
This is becoming clearer in the story as Kuzan disagrees with Akainu's ideologies, Kizaru is caught in a dilemma, and Fujitora's main goal is directly opposing the Marines.
Aight
Im not really a fan of the captured luffy theory but honestly all that stuff you mentioned could be a red herring. Its kind of Oda's whole deal to circumvent expectations. Introducing all these powerful allies only for Luffy to get captured days after becoming an emperor. I could 100% see him doing something like that.
Personally though, it seems like a lot of people are thinking the strawhats are in for a big win now that the Giants have appeared. I dont think itll be a luffy capture but i could def see something big happening that makes it seem like less of a win. something like dory or brogy being killed for example. Luffy in the gang are about to be in a fight with 5 demon giants, could def see someone dying.
i am totally with this actually. it would make so much sense esp with how things are going in the recent chapters. theres def going to be a split between the marines that'll cause a massive uproar.
No, this arc is to settle luffy as an emperor for the whole world to see. If he's captured itll undermined his title by a great margin and he'll be a laughing stock.
Agree. I believe the marines will be divided into factions especially when we already have secret force like sword thats already working independently
@dark forge per the channel’s description, do you have any in-story evidence/reasoning to support that claim? edit: all right, deleting it for now, please provide some evidence/reasoning next time
What makes you say that exactly?
If anything he is anticipating what Roger saw comming and is trying his best to minimize what might happen. Hence his whole crew being mostly fence sitters that keeps the peace. In comparision to other Yonko who want to take control of the world.
Which is more plausable, as well as Shanks already knows what the Roger Pirates found out. Which somewhat contradicts your whole long term future sight theory.
Yeah, I agree with everything you said, except I'm not convinced that Shanks knows everything that the Roger pirates found out.
I was going through theories on reddit. Have you people seen this theory? It basically predicts Hancock as the last strawhat. (The color spread and Nami trying the clothing style actually has me tickled on its validity)
I'm 50/50 I think shanks knows the prophecy part Roger was given. Understands he has a role as a fallen celestial dragon as well as Roger's protégé. That much I'm certain however I do believe he has an idea of what OP is. But more so knows what is going to happen and that it's the new age comming to take out the old age.

I have a big theory about Vivi, Lily Imu and Uranus
https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/1bdb8ey/spoilers_for_manga_egghead_island_ancient_weapons/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
TLDR: I think that Nefeltari D. Lily was the only person who could control Uranus like how Shirahoshi is for Posideon, and that Imu had someone use the Ope Ope Fruit's personality switching abilty to gain control of this weapon and Lily's body
oh and Vivi is the reincarnation of this power which is why Imu wants her
and it builds off things we have already seen,
Croc wanted to use alabasta to get to the ancient weapons
and Dofy wanted to use the Ope Ope to become ruler of the world
Lili = awakend user of the chop fruit, chopped and sent away the ponelifs. Xebec is a descendant of lili ,As a descendant of lili he was discovered and had to become a horrible pirate to live and wanted to kill the government and celestial dragons for making his life hell. He has a son (buggy) with a member of the red nose tribe, who gets taken in as a slave and killed, making him want to take down the world government even more, after this buggy is found by roger at god valley and does his thing. this is my crackpot theory
Yeah, I'm down with seeing something along those lines as we go forward
reading the first part only make me laugh 😄
- Vivi, Lily Imu and Uranus
Best headline so far.
be interesting if Shanks also has some old school magic since it seems the celestial dragons are more of old sacred bloodline with magic in stuff. So he can use it too. GUessing he has some form of it as he can traverse really big distances quick. Which the Gorosei seem to be able to do.
I think the evidence so far points to the gorosei having some sort of "magic" power, but I think that has more to do with their relation to serving Imu, as opposed to being celestial dragons. The whole deal with the gorosei's travel seems to be associated either with their DFs, or that they're just literal "devils", but I don't think Shanks appears to travel any faster or further than most other pirates we see.
I think ussop is gonna die
Ussop wants to be a brave warrior of the sea and to be that he has to see himself as an brave warrior and I think he only will think that when he dies
Proof
Also there is this cover story which shows ussop holding a death card
The same method was used to foreshadow 🍩 Death
Shanks has moved around really fast. Like intercepting Kaido's pirate fleet so the MF war could go on. Then showing up there the next day. Also we saw that While in Wano Shanks met with the Gorosei and then a short time later he was right outside wano.
tbf, we don't really know where exactly he stopped Kaido right? Kaido could have been fairly close to Marineford already.
and Shanks meeting the Five Elders happened around two weeks before he showed up outside Wano
This was a nice theory. It did a good job trying to reference all these little cases that creates the possibility that Hancock could have been the next SH. However, given that it was written before Greenbull’s decision to go to Wano (ch1052), I can already tell how much the story’s diverged from this theory. Also, the usage of cover art and openings doesn’t really convince me tbh, especially since she hasn’t had enough interaction with the rest of the crew yet. What I will say is this theory reminded me that there is a secret passageway Fisher Tiger used that has not been explored yet, not even in the Revolutionary Army’s escape of Marijoa. I really hope we get some answers to that and maybe it’s through Hancock flashback in the future.
Pretty interesting, I like the idea that Imu is in the body of the person she has hated for 800 years. Do you think that Imu took over Lily’s body after her “mistake” that led to the dispersion of the poneglyphs? So now, does Imu want to switch bodies to Vivi or just kill her? What was Lucci’s purpose back in ch1083 saying “we’re here to protect you” and trying to convince Vivi to come with him?
rocks d buggy isn't that crazy really, but the awakened chop chop link to Lili is probably too much of a stretch. With the foreshadowing of Vivi eating the paw fruit, it would fit well to have Lili paw the poneglyphs to strategic locations
I don't know what Imu would want, maybe a "Now that you have seen how powerful I am join me" type thing, maybe just to get back at Lily by killing her last decendant with her body. I interperated Lucci as the world govt thinking that Vivi might know what Cobra does, so it's best to have both Cobra and Vivi under control at the same time during the whole confrontation
Ahh okay makes sense. Thanks!
I believe it was stated it was King during a SBS, however we do know he went from the New World where the clash was stated to happen all the way to MarineFord within a day. Which its needed to go under the Redline and through fishman Island.
I wasnt sure the time between Shanks meeting and him showing up, I thought it was def. within a week. More like 2-4 days. Since we know luffy and company was ok like the day after defeating Kaido, and the raid happened near the meeting time. (Im not 1000% sure and do need to reread.)
Still him meeting with the gorosei, how tf did he get there because of the navy base right by it, parking a yonko ship out front def didnt happen because it was a hidden meeting.
i think it was a Vivre card. King was with Kaido when they went to attack Whitebeard.
but yeah, Shanks met with them before the Reverie started. Luffy and co. arrived on Wano on the first day of the reverie, or at least around the start of it, since they were reading the news about the royals arriving just before entering Wano. it then took two weeks for them to prepare for the raid on onigashima. and Ryokogyu/Shanks didn't go to Wano until a week after the end of the raid. so that gives Shanks about a three week window between him meeting the elders and being at Wano
thank you
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN??? NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT HER???
(i cant send images yet im not lvl 10 😭)
people keep bringing her up, i mean obviously Imu has people serving them, there is not much to say about that person
Or it could also be a god's knight

well for the unknown king of the world it feels like thats one too many people knowing about said king
I think Vegapunk stream is in the virtual reality world
Oda already did that with Uta and we know Vegapunk studied that with the laser gloves and holographic people. We thought Luffy was going to use the gloves to fight Kizaru but nothing happened. Luffy will use the gloves to fight with Vegapunk together
Vegapunk will have his moment revealing the past, he will fight Gorosei to avenge Kuma and have a glorious death. Probably one of the satelites will live with part of his knowedge but as another person, not Vegapunk itself, just part of him, like his son

I just have to clarify that Mercury is not a "Houki" yokai, he's a chinese myth called the Fengxi. Oda just transliterated it into japanese
yeah TCB explains that at the end

@fathom flax please ask in #manga-serious
What if grorosei are the same race of demons that created the devil fruits? That would explain why they have the awakening clouds, maybe the demons had fruit powers and granted the people who wished for the powers (vegapunks theory), in exchange for their ability to swim, like a deal with the devil (get a cool power but loose something bad)
It’s possible the awakening clouds are actually just something the demons had, and awakening a zoan uses the full potential of the devils power, giving it the clouds.
Also most of them have fire on them and all have red eyes, another common trait of demons (hell fire, evil red eyes)
Nice theory but this channel is for theories with extensive evidence, also wdym red eyes, it's a monochrome manga
are the colored versions not official? Thought they were, mb
@fast mist please use #manga for short predictions like that, this channel’s for long in-depth theories
It’s wierd that most of the 5 elders don’t have proper yokai as far as I can tell
The Bakotsu and Hoki have no references at all online so it might be a mistranslation
I do think that the sand wyrm is actually an Onamazu and catfish yokai that lives underground and causes earthquakes
This isnt a theory about chapter 1110 but just a good old regular crackpot one that i just need to get off of my mind. So we know that roger describes the one piece as "a vast treassure" meaning the treassure is pretty huge in size. We were also told that the one who left the treassure before roger was joyboy. Now there are many theories going around that joyboy was a giant with horns or a lunarian so on and so on but i think joyboy was a human hybrid of a bull. A mink mayby. Why do i think this? Because all the many theories point out to how joyboy had horns like oars and how there were byson/bull skulls in skypea in which the sun god is worshipped. Theres also luffy riding uci(the bull from dressrosa) So i asked myself this. What does bulls and cows like? What would a bull human hybrid treassure and value? Two things came to mind. A giant island of straw(wheat field) and grass to eat forever. That would be silly, stupid and laughable(to roger and his crew atleast) That i believe is the island of laugh tale. Now im not done im gonna write the second part lmao.
I wouldn't know. The only Elder who's power was written in katakana rather than kanji was Ju Peter. I think everyone else is either a yokai, or some other kind of monster from Japanese mythology.
Now how would a wheat field turn the world upside down? Tbh i think the poneglyphs and the wheat field is both part of the one piece and thats it lmao. So how did nika/joyboy, a bull mink/human bull hybrid get the ability to stretch and run on air? In the one piece movie that had shiki in it we was shown and island where animals had evolved to spew fire and had some wild traits. I think joyboy went there and ended up with these powers. That concludes my crackpot theory
And what the ponyglyphs record is a tale of laughs. A laugh tale. A tale of joyboy and his mink companions. A fable (elbaf backwords)
It makes so much sense for the youngest Elder Star to have a mythical demon that’s relatively new to mythology
my theory is what if devil fruits are devils but inside fruits, and the gorosei are the devils but outside fruits
seems about right, the way that they're being introduced without referencing devil fruits, and a few choice panels stand out that corroborate that they're literal devils
The reason Saturn looks diff from the other yokai could be because hes not in his full zoan form (assuming it is a df).
Oda explained that Black Maria's true hybrid form was way different from what we saw in Wano. Her arms become spider legs, her eyes become spider eyes etc. And her altered hybrid form is the sort of spider-centaur we actually see her as.
Saturn's two non-human forms show similarities to Black Maria's two hybrid forms, so he could just be doing some Chopper-esque multiple hybrid forms
food for thought, jus saying that its a possibility
Theres not enough crackpot theories in here(the good ones)
Even though this isn’t related to the manga chapter I have a really good theory so you know imu’s big frozen hat and the pink haired guy from thriller bark (sorry that I don’t remember his name but) and we all know that joyboy died right what if imu has joyboy dead body and is storing it under the hat and he is frozen so he can’t rot so the guy can remake his (now that I rethink this theory it sounds kind of dumb not gonna lie)
The hat came from Roger, so there could be some sort of connection to Rogers unknown origin story and the original joyboy or void century that ties it all together. Like maybe he had some secret knowledge of the void century that not many people knew, like if the hat is some sort of old common ancient kingdom uniform or something
True
General motif is that everyone is inspired by someone else and they inherit their 'will', almost all the good guys have people that inspired them. Who inspired Roger? Maybe he was inspired by an old folk tale or story book and the main character wore a straw hat?
My theory since Roger flashbacks is that the one piece is a logbook with the some sort of 'future future' sight that allows the person who reads it to read the story of those they inspire. So when Roger was saying 'i wish I would have met you joyboy' he was talking about Luffy. Which makes sense why Oden knew about the 20 year wait etc. I think that ties well with the theory that maybe Roger was inspired by some sort of old folk tale which was actually real and the owner of that massive hat
now i know why luffy is a threat to gorosei because in astrology sun become red giant "super large luffy" until it goes supernova which is destroying everything under the habitable zone (earth) the gorosei just want to prevent that to happen in my theory the mariejoa is not just a castle but an spaceship the reason why theyre bad is because they are looking for the best human without fear, no disabilities, a perfect human to bring their new planet seedling it they are more earth too i know imu mass murder people but a great sacrifice for the better world they are experimenting the people of the world.
for example of good gorosei:
planet jupiter is preventing aasteroidsto hit earth by attracting them
thats it all my theory.
The Gorosai seem to have demon-Yokai type devil fruits. They are mostly based on Japanese and Chinese Mythical creatures (aside from the sandworm). They could be Zoan Type but also the Gorosai could not be human.
No other Zoan DF, has the power to summon 4 others (even if it is limited to a certain amount of time). What I assume is going to happen in the future is that Oda explains the power and that the Strawhats are going to escape to fight another day.
@gilded wasp @solar grotto please don’t ask questions here. Use #manga-serious or #manga
Luffy is called the “sun god” but isn’t a literal sun. Why do you think he would go supernova (ie die)? What conversation has the Gorosei had to make you think they want to save the world? Why is Pangea castle a spaceship? You have brought up one idea after another, but I can’t find any in-story evidence you’ve cited that supports any of it. Do you have any such in-story evidence/reasoning to share? If not, then this is mostly headcannon territory
@true path would be cool to get that next chapter, but please use #manga-serious for shorter predictions like that. This channel’s for longer in-depth theories
@gaunt idol would you like to share more about this “Imu is Mother Nature” theory? Do you want to give us a summary of it and/or a link to the one who made that theory?
Imu’s large straw hat came from Roger? Did I understand that correctly? Or are you talking about the “remade hat”?
I was thinking that maybe there is some sort of famous figure , someone from the story books that had the large strawhat and Roger really looked up to them and decided to make one for himself. And that Imu has the real hat, like the original joy boy or something
@coral niche unless you have more evidence/reasoning to prove that next chapter is Zoro’s chapter (I understand the birthday connection), I’d recommend you use #manga-serious for shorter number predictions like that. I understand you’re serious but for this channel you’re gonna need more than just that
That is related to the Joyboy-Theory someone brought up quite a while ago.
If you have a link to that I'd be down to read it. I feel like the fact that it's frozen means it's super old and I'm wondering if Roger knew about it's old history
Interesting link, however given the nature of this channel, all theory links need to be summarized in text so that people know what they’re clicking on. 2-3 sentences is enough. If you’d rather not write a summary for something so short, then I’d recommend using #manga-serious since it’s less strict there.
There used to be a long one but that was a while back, it was a really long theory. He also did post it on reddit but I do not have the link. It was for a theory like that well received.
@half burrow please don’t write one-line takes here like the one about holy water. Please use #manga or #manga-serious next time
Rogers story has been the parallel opposite of Nolan’s story so i think oda uses one to explain the other.
I read in a theory that it’s clearer in the Japanese version as his diologues forshadow way more than in English.
So while Nolan found the island that went up (near skypeia), roger found the one below (ironically below enies lobby)
While Nolan was crying in his execution, roger was laughing.
While Nolan was called a lier, roger started the pirate era etc
And as the theory goes. When roger declars it in his execution in Japanese it comes out as you can find it below in one piece.
So perhaps the mystery is about that island
I was dead serious
Then per the channel’s description, please elaborate on this and provide in-story evidence/reasoning to support that. One line isn’t enough here
You just don’t forget it when it happens
Ok
my theory answer for ur question why would i think he would go supernova? i dont mean that he literally like sun go supernova what i mean is he could cause a destruction and lost control of his power because of he's super happiness and excitement u know what im saying like a 5 year old kid will destroy everything when he plays too much to the house. second answer for ur question on what gorosei conversation to make me think to save the world my answer they are actually the one put balance in the world for example the redline if human and sea monsters meet each other what do u think would happen? they are trying to protect humans from that so if luffy goes crazy goofy big giant like half of earth he wont see people stomp them. third answer for ur question did u count the castle roof its 16 and its imu number he likes to drive ship like he did in lulusia thats my reference to that the 16 castle rooftop is a rocketship and imagine how do u think they build it up the red line its bcs they landed in there not built
I can understand the first two points. But with the third point, I don’t think we’ve ever heard that Imu likes to drive ships. More importantly, are you basically saying Imu “flew” Pangea castle to Luluscia to destroy that island? Also, what does the red line have to do with this spaceship exactly? I’m not following what you said at the end
u know the redline is giant red wall i think they landed at the top in there with pangea castle in the first place. im not saying imu flew to lulusia with pangea castle im just saying that pangea is a type of rocketship or station
Okay. The idea that it’s a rocket ship is pretty shaky imo since it’s hard to prove it, but I get what you’re trying to say in the end. Thanks for explaining it to me 👍
Hi all I have a question that could be a theory but I don't know if I'm on to something or missed something lol
Hi, probably best to ask in #manga-serious
That’s a better place to brainstorm ideas and figure out stuff
Will do 😊 thanks
Np, thank you 🙏
Thanks for the link. With all theory links, we request that people provide a short summary of it so people know what they’re clicking on. Nothing major, 3-4 sentences summarizing it is enough. Just give an idea on the premise and the kinds of evidence being used
uh
nvm
sort of a fun theory
What if Devil Fruit Users are not cursed by the sea but it is IMU or someone from Marines who has a Sea-Sea fruit (just a random ahh name for Sea controling Fruit) is constantly messing with the sea and users who fell into it
they would have to constantly keep using their fruit which would surely drain their energy
I mean they can be someone like isolated from world and protected by everyone constantly on life support
going on about for more than 1000 years?
just when they are about to die extract their fruit... just like BB did and give to other successor
also if there is any water/sea-related fruit it would completely contradict the agenda oda has set
Devil Fruits users are hated by the sea
this theory is what I am trying to say... they are not hated by sea...
that would seem too unnecessary
and there is nothing that can be kept hidden for this long so someone would have gotten their hands on the fruit except the govt
this can be necessary as the countries which vanished from the map can have some remnants in the deep ocean and someone powerful enough to extract them can only be a DF user so trying to hide any kind of proof of the lost history

Theory: Chopper's devil fruit is Nika's companion before and they are always bound by fate.
Theory: Mihawk/Yoru and Imu/The Empty Throne
In the empty throne room, theres the 20 swords that represent the 20 kingdoms. I believe there could be more to this - Mihawk and Imu both have the ringed eyes with the swirl. Yoru has strange markings on its hilt area that look oddly like the WG logo/markings on the empty throne. So what if Yoru was originally in place ON or right infront of the empty throne to represent, in a way, the actual WG or Imu (possibly secretly). After all, Yoru is the strongest sword in the world, and Imu is supposedly the king of the world, wouldn't it make sense? So what I propose is that it's possible someone stole Yoru from the empty throne and whether that was in fact Mihawk or not it ended up in his hands
DISCLAIMER: There's a 2nd version of this theory that is mostly the same but with added tidbits that could make it more viable and it involves Supreme Grade blades and/or just graded blades in general, but for now these are the main things.
did i cook?
it can be that Mihawk is a descendant of him.... belonging to Nerona (iirc) family and the sword is just stolen/given to him
you have a crazier theory for chapter 1110
that too, the main thing is that i fully believe yoru could've been one of/the main sword that was previously at the empty throne room
oh yeah
world's strongest sword/king of the world, wg markings
The Houki is a mistranslation, it's the chinese Fengxi which Oda transliterated to japanese. The sandworm is just a sandworm, wyrm is a mistranslation
Mercury takes the form of a Fengxi, a wild boar from Chinese mythology. In mythology the Fengxi was killed by the legendary archer Hou Yi who was a god of archery who descended down to earth. It seems like Usopp vs Mercury is the most likely matchup
nah crrently the 5 planets are split off doing their own thing
It's more likely that Roger was able to hear the voice of all thing from a younger age and it guided him , like a homing instinct, to place he eventually found answers. Like when he was on Lodestar and he said " There is something , another island after this one, I know it ". if there is a connection to the Void century, that might probably be the only one he had, outside of the D. name.
It's possible Xebec got also the voice of all thing and gathered the information he got from the feeling and awareness it raised from it for more nefarious purpose
@sweet elk interesting idea and while I understand what you mean, please use #manga or #manga-serious for shorter thoughts like that. This channel’s for longer theories, preferably with evidence/reasoning to support it.

Gotcha 👍
Quite interesting theory yall might wanna check this out he basically says that the gorosei ain't df users but they are the df themselves.
https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMMkkkPwQ/
IMU IS THE SEPRENT FROM THE GARDEN OF EDEN .So as of recently we have seen the full fledged forms of the Five Elders. Mars is the 'Istumade', Nusjuro is a 'Bakoustu', Saturn is the 'Gyuki', Warcury is a 'Houki' and Ju Peter is a 'SandWyrm'. And they looked similar to their shadows. But what about Imu? Well we saw Imu was crawling down his throne, with a large seprentine body and two arms - that were portionally smaller then him. And back in Eden, the Serpent had arms before G-d cursed it for deceiving Adam and Eve. Where do we first find Imu? They are shown in Pangea Castle, in the Room of Flowers.Pangea can be split into two words 'Pan' which is all. And 'gea' which is 'gaea' aka the Greek Earth Mother. So Pangea Castle - All Earth Castle. All-Earth/Eden. So the Devil/Serpent that is Imu is first found in the Garden, in the realm of the Gods (The Celestial gods). Concidence? I think not. My theory keeps going. We knows the Serpent was cursed to forever crawl against the Earth and be the natural enemy of Eve's descendants (all mankind). But in One Piece, Imu was cursed just not in the same way. The Earth cursed the Devil, so it may never touch her waters again. And what do we see Imu do as King of the World. Subject the children of 'Eve' as beneath them. Even more so: The Head of Sunlight Eve is located on the Red Line - which Imu controls as the Ruler of all Mary Geoise so even till this day Imu still decieves Eve.If Imu is the Serpent, it explains why the Gorosei are also demons. The Original Devil has five other devils working beneath them, giving them roles that subvert the natural order. Mars being in charge of Enviroment, yet as the 'itsumade' feeds on the suffering of others, usually caused by natural disaters: droughts, plagues, famine. And Saturn being incharge of science, he should be curing diseases but instead gives people them as a result of his experimentation. Imu is the Serpent, tricking mankind into worshipping him as One Above ALL.
bump
But if they are the df creatures "themselves" why do they have the characteristics of an awaken df ( as the black fire that is around users with zoan awaken df)
Like mentionned in the video it's like that when a zoan df user awaken his df and gets that black fire he tends to resemble to the devil fruit form itself like we've seen with the gorosei so based the theory it's the opposite of what u said it's the zoan df awakened users that have the characteristics of the df itself.
Bro you dont fool me you say "Quite interesting theory yall might wanna check this out he basically says that the gorosei ain't df users but they are the df themselves.
https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMMkkkPwQ/ " And the video do points out this too until i told you the gorosei had flammes like zoan awaken df users do
What if Imu is Lili, but not in the way we think?
What if imu nerona (the original one) somehow stole the body of Lili after Lili had already gotten the perennial youth surgery
that sounds plausible. and assuming that Imu has their eyes on Vivi, perhaps they might want to take her body as the “next host”? or perhaps eliminate her to close out the Nefertari bloodline.
yeah that’s what im thinking. im also thinking that lili was chosen by uranus and so was vivi and that’s why all the wanted posters and shirahoshis poster were ripped up in imu’s introduction but vivis was fine
- Pangaea refers to the original prehistoric continent
- Imu is unlikely to be a very religious figure for obvious reasons, chances are he's a folkloric creature of some sort
The original devil has five other devils..
where's this from?
I just had a theory idea, but it’s pretty long. Can longer theories be posted here?
Can Vegapunk be killed by killing his body?
The anime this week reminded me that Egghead Island is actually just house for Vegapunks brain.
I think that Vegapunk is alive because his brain is, his brain and everything on the island doesn't seem to have stopped just because his main body was taken out. So he is probably actually alive in the monitor at the moment. Which means that the marines could wipe out the entire island without actually hurting vegapunk directly.
So I'm wondering if the brain will end up destroyed or captured at this point.
This Literally channel whole purpose for
So yea
Alright lol, thanks
In 1110 when the gorosei’s forms were named, all of the gorosei’s forms were based off Yokai except ju peters, which is based off a sandworm. This in conjunction with the fact that he’s visually appears significantly younger than the other gorosei makes he think he was picked out at a different time than the rest.
If I had to guess, the other four have been around sense the void century, he was picked much more recently. Potentially becuase of either a betrayal in the gorosei by who had his spot previously, or someone killing that gorosei. I like the idea of the latter a lot because it would both make the world feel more lived in, while also giving luffy a convenient way to learn a way to damage the gorosei. If I had to guess who I’d probably save either the iron giant robot or a past revolutionary movement. Also another idea in this theory favor I feel is the yokai entered the public’s consciousness a lot longer ago than the idea of sandworms furthering the generational divide.
Cont, too many characters
So, if the powers/essence of the gorosei are not inherently yokai, but instead monsters of different mythos then I feel that also brings into question their origin. Instead of, say yokai being real being the explanation of their power then must being something else. My theory is that they were all either beings created by imu, or people given given powers by imu based off the worlds ideas of, or fear of monsters. Not only would this explain why there are monster or different origin. Maybe yokai were believed in in the past, and sand wyrms were believed in now or some time more recently. It’s also be a great foil be luffys power. Instead of the power being ideas from the self and bringing hope to others it’s be getting power from other people darkest thoughts and fears, and instilling fear/dispare on others. l also think that the idea that the power of the leader of the world government being people fears would be fitting considering that fear in the world government is inherently what gives it its power.
Anyway, I’ve never written a theory before so sorry if this crappy lol and if you have any thoughts on it let me know! Also, the theory gets more out there as it goes along so if you only agree with the first part lmk
If you look at 1086 when the order to attack lulusia comes out and they're discussing it, look at how ju peter is framed compared to the others. For example in the their first pannel it's all the Gorosei sat down, but Ju Peter is distinctly alone to the left hand side with all the others on the right.
He is certainly an odd one in the group by all feels, I always got the impression he was younger than the others too.
I go checked and yeah, I think you’re right. No matter what he seems to be the biggest odd man out
if they destroy his egg there wil be no message damn
The Fengxi (Houki) is not a yokai and the Bakotsu barely passes for one, any thoughts on that?
I think Oda just thought they looked cool guys….
Sure but he chose specific names after all
True. I’m not saying he didn’t draw inspiration from yokai and other things, but that sometimes inspiration is all it is. I am usually quite analytical of Oda’s design choices, but in this case, I really think Oda just did what he thought looked good
Guys if y'all are gonna continue I'd suggest #manga-theories
Ju Peter could be a replacement to Uranus. Since in mythology, Uranus is sky itself but Jupiter takes that role as god of the sky
What do you mean by replacement?
well going off the theory that I replied too, they believed Ju Peter could be a new member of the Gorosei, an add on, a replacement for someone else since his fruit is different and looks alot younger then everyone else. Since we have nothing on Uranus as of yet, it could the Five Elders hiding his/its existence for a reason
Ju Peter is a giant worm/Onamazu
he's just a sandworm chill
It definitely takes design inspiration from an Onamazu imo and also it doesn’t make a massive difference either way
Probably, but they all take inspiration from multiple sources
or Oda could have taken it from Dune since its not a yokai like creature
Oh I see, that’s an interesting theory, but to me it would be odd if there were four elders and then just a secret weapon amongst them. It makes sense why they would keep it secret, but when we imagine the gorosei, we think of them as a collective rather than a group of 4 and some other guy. If Oda revealed Ju Peter as Uranus, I think it would still work, but it would be a bit weird imo
Both are just big monsters that line underground and cause chaos but it definitely takes inspiration from yokai as well
Peter's sandworm doesn't really look like the dune ones, Coco is pretty accurate
Yeah, but just because it doesn’t look like the Dune ones, doesn’t mean it wasn’t inspired from that.
Sand worms predate dune
guys can I direct you to #manga-serious
The worm idea is just cool, cause he's supposed to take care of the Enviroment as while earthworms can be a postive influence, they can also be a threat. Ju Peter might have the capacity to be a turned ally or was original a good guy before joining the Elders
I know Oda is a pretty genius guy and all, but we should still treat him like a human. Like, he is still capable of making spontaneous decisions, but yes, the yokai idea is much more probable 🙂
#manga-serious , please
I'm pretty sure that the knock-up stream was done by purpose by the WG 400 years ago. We all know that there're alot of parallels between noland and Roger. Both of them at the end of their story were executed in their hometown, both of their descendants suffered the same way. Ace wants to know the answer if it was worth for him to live despite his relationship with his father. Cricket had a burden from completely opposite angle other than Ace, while ace was criticized due to the acts of Roger becoming the pirate king. Cricket was laughed at cause of what happened to noland and the whole story of being a lier.
Roger died proclaiming a great treasure existed somewhere called the one piece. noland died proclaiming a treasure existed within the great city of gold Eldrado existed. But there was a specific difference between the two characters. at the moment of their death, they set-up a random dude for noland to proof that noland have lied to the king. But why did they do that. the king was able to tell the citizens about noland's lier and ofc afterward they will believe in the king. the propaganda is a signature mark in the world of one piece. by this time you'll probably tell me that ik all of that but let me ask y'all a question. who did kill noland. the king, NO. It was the scheming of the WG by using the knock-up stream.
Even though noland stayed in shandora ( city of gold) for 1 month, he didn't notice the knock-up stream from far away nor did he conclude that it was the cause for the disappearance of jaya. then returned to his kingdom to inform the king about the dozens of gold that he found on the city. 4 years later the reverie was held, and the knock-up stream emerges for the first time and send jaya flying to sky island. coincidence?? I don't think so. the shandians reaction surely indicates that this was the first time the knock-up stream emerges from seawater. three evidences that makes me think that the WG was the cause of what happened to jaya behind the scenes.
1. noland returned to his kingdom to inform the king about the dozens of gold that he found on the city. 2 years later the reverie was held, after 2 more years the knock-up stream emerges for the first time and send jaya flying to sky island. coincidence?? I don't think so.
2.kalgara said that since 400 years no one has ever set foot on the island, and that there were intruders who have a map and eternal pose of jaya, and who is the entity that produces eternal pose in one piece ? THE WG. so by knowing the place, and planning all along. we can finally predict that the WG was behind this incident.
3.from what we've seen after noland returned 5 years later. the king said to noland for the expedition we do not need your crew, and that they got permission from marijoa. why do a member from the WG have to get permission, and excluding noland's crew for the expedition???
Why The world government doing all this
I think there are several ways to discover the void century and the truth of the world other than reading the poneglyphs. being a botanist may provide to someone a huge knowledge behind the secret of DF and the truth of the world perhaps.
The answer is no and the explanation is pretty simple
First, earthquakes from unreleased Knock Up Stream do happen frequently in Jaya. In fact, Noland was trapped between rubbles the first time he step foot on Jaya, and the Shandians said it's the fifth quake in that week. And that's the actual reason he thought Shandora sank, because of the earthquakes he experienced while being there
Why did Lvneel Kingdom need Mary Geoise permission? Because they need to pass Red Line to enter Grand Line and it's impossible unless they use the gondolas to carry their ships up and down. Only pirates use Reverse Mountain route
Why did the king use his crew, then replace witness testimonies with fake crews? Because he's petty. It's just that simple. He was overconfident, getting beat up by storm, then getting "scammed" by Noland. So he smeared his name and executed him. We have a lot of petty monarchs in One Piece, he's no exception
And Skypiea is probably the arc with the fewest Marines/WG appearances ever in the entire series
it was never confirmed that the earthquakes is the unreleased version of the knock-up stream, they literally saw it the first time here
I don't understand why out of every speculations so far, you're focusing on that one when Calgara saw the frequent earthquakes change the island landscape just few years prior (and that's why he knew it's serious)
There’s 2 ways I can see the Iron Giant waking up. The most simple one is that he would wake up from hearing what Vegapunk is going to say, but that wouldn’t really make sense.
The other reason, which I think makes more sense is because there are 4 more mythical zoan users on the island. There’s nothing saying the devil fruits of the elders were significant during the void century, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was significant . Also the Iron Giant got the way it was because it Mary Geoise
tbh, i didn't understand ur point. ur literally ignoring that for 400 years the knock-up stream didn't even emerges from seawater, even though the first appearance of the knock-up stream was 400 years ago and coincidently enough in that year the reverie was held and the knock-up stream sent jaya flying to sky island. i just said that.
And that it would be possible if they knew exactly where is jaya, since the WG is the only organization that can produce eternal pose
it wan't confirmed that the knock-up stream was the main cause to the frequent disasters. In contrast, they believe it to be the wrath of their rulers. And one more thing i'd like to mention, Cricket's explanation was just a theory so we shouldn't expect much from him
Yeah but like the Earth do what the Earth do sometimes it ain't people causing Earthquakes in 1 random location that they don't even know exist
What do you mean by "for 400 years it didn't even emerge from seawater"? Knock up stream just happened on Noland's time. Unless you wanna make another speculation that 400 years prior, during Void Century, it happened, then idk where you got that information
"coincidentally enough in that year the Reverie was held"
How? 400 years is counted from pre time skip. So if Noland arrived on that exact date, then Reverie happened 2 years before and 2 years after his landing. And 5 years after Noland first landing is also not Reverie year. And even then, like so what
"they believe it to be the wrath of their rulers"
That's exactly the point of that mini flashback, to show that Noland remove the islander's superstition. There's natural explanations for every disaster they experienced
How would the reveal be in current timeline anyway?
Gorosei: "btw, we totally killed Noland, for uhhh... going into expedition that we sanctioned ourselves and uhhh.... willingly pointing us to the island we didn't even bother to search for? Also we sent the island to the sky even though we can just Buster Call the island, for no reason"
Luffy: "who?"
right now in the current one piece verse is 1524 400 years ago is 1124 so let me rephrase it.
noland returned to his kingdom to inform the king about the dozens of gold that he found on the city. the king immediately calls marijoa to give them permission to set sail to grand line. 2 years later the reverie was held. after **2 more years **the knock-up stream emerges for the first time and sent jaya flying to sky island. The world government were affiliated on two of these occasions
-
WG permission to the lvneel kingdom , and assumably they were scheming throughout these two years.
-
the reverie, to progress their scheming even more, they need to at least talk with the lvneel king and and put a proper plan
What i mean by"for 400 years it didn't even emerge from seawater" is the 400 years that was after the void century.
It's important to note that this is all pure speculation, it doesn't have to be correct and it might even be wrong. That's all
I could see Kaku getting a slight redemption in a few chapters.
I think Mars is gonna go to the main labostratum room to find York and ask where the broadcast is coming from (as well as to save her), and Kaku will be in the room asking for his boss to free him from the bubble,
with Mars telling him he "doesnt have time for weak insects" or something, triggering Kaku to have an inner conflict
I think that blackbeard IS cerberus. The elders dont seem like they have devil fruits really, and I think that they might belong to a seperate race of mythical monsters that blackbeard is also part of.
Sanji’s Kindness and the Starvation of the Celestial Dragons
Resource deprivation and hunger are significant themes in One Piece. We’ve seen it many times, such as Sanji and Zeff getting shipwrecked onto a rock with next to no rations. Crocodile drove Alabasta into chaos with dance powder, and by monopolizing the rain, he left certain areas barren. Kaido turned Wano into a factory, rendering the land infertile and the water so tainted that people had no choice but to consume the failed SMILE devil fruits. The Heavenly Tribute is a particularly prominent theme in the story. Countries affiliated with the World Government are forced to pay Celestial Dragons to fund their lavish and hedonistic lifestyles. Entire nations have been driven to famine and ruin because of these Tributes.
The blatant evilness of Celestial Dragons has recently reached comical levels in the Kuma flashback. Since then, many readers have called for the CD’s death. I disagree with this sentiment because One Piece is a story about breaking away from the perpetuated cycle of violence by the World Government. There will be conflict, revolution, and even war—a necessary conflict for people to break away from the cycle of violence. However, this conflict doesn’t necessitate the mass execution of the Celestial Dragons. Such an act would not only contradict the story's morale but also the treatment of past abusers of power. There will undoubtedly be retribution for the Celestial Dragons, and it will be starvation. Vinsmoke Sanji, the defected prince of the Germa kingdom, will make them seek penance and abandon their previous life of nobility and privilege by cooking for them.
My previous theory (#manga-theories message) focused on Franky’s character arc beyond his personal dream, and here I want to delve into Sanji’s character arc. Character arcs encompass more than just a character’s personal dreams and goals; they encompass their entire journey—what they do, what they learn, and where they end up. Sanji’s goal is to find the legendary All Blue, but the story may present him with the most challenging question his personal morals could face: Do the Celestial Dragons deserve to eat?
When we first meet Sanji, one of the first things he does is feed Gin, who is on the brink of starvation. We learn that he believes everyone deserves to eat. In his backstory, we see him being somewhat obstinate about not wanting to eat passenger leftovers, but his seniors teach him to be grateful for every bite he receives—a lesson he learns through a traumatic experience. This experience transforms Sanji into one of the kindest characters in the series. Even his and Zeff’s assistance towards Gin and Don Krieg leads to a conflict over the future of Baratie. Eventually, that kindness makes Gin break rank with the Don Krieg pirates, and the conflict is resolved in favor of the Straw Hats and Baratie.
The Celestial Dragons are so detached from reality that they have no idea what starvation entails. While Mary Geoise has experienced some violence, they are unfamiliar with hunger. Some may believe that losing their titles and privileges could be the worst fate the Celestial Dragons could face, but I believe those are superficial concerns. When the final conflict arrives, they won’t have the luxury of caring about such matters. The materialistic reality will already have caught up with them.
When Kuma climbs the Red Line and wreaks havoc at the Holy Land, we see the Celestial Dragons bickering—albeit in a petty manner—about the deprivation of resources in Mary Geoise. They are so reliant on the Heavenly Tributes that they would be utterly helpless without them. The Tributes are also the primary means through which the Celestial Dragons directly cause suffering to much of the population. It's essentially a protection racket, akin to organized crime. If you don’t pay the protection money and join the World Government, you risk attacks by pirates or even by us. If you do pay, you have nothing for yourself but a false sense of security. While the Marines can protect you from external threats, they can't shield you from your own starving community. Lack of food and water can quickly lead to crime and violence. Eventually, the common people will realize that the Celestial Dragons and the Tributes they pay are the core reasons for their suffering, and they will stop paying. This outcome is inevitable according to the theory of dialectical materialism. Then the Celestial Dragons will find themselves saying, Nous n'avons même pas de brioche.
“We don’t even have cake.”
When Sanji got his second bounty after Dressrosa, the wanted poster said “Only Alive”. There have been a series of hints in the story about Sanji having a secret past before coming to the East Blue and in Zou it was finally revealed that he’s actually royalty and belongs to the Vinsmoke Family of the Germa kingdom. The Whole Cake Island is all about Sanji coming to terms with his past and being the frivolous son in his father’s eyes. Judge Vinsmoke clearly wanted his children to be a perfect extension of himself. He wants them to rule and win wars, and emotions and kindness are things that might come in the way of that. The very things that make Sanji the triumphant character he has grown to be.
Sanji’s life was hell in the Vinsmoke family, he was abused and beaten by his brothers and his father. He ran away and hid his legacy because he wanted nothing to do with them. In Whole Cake Island he submits to his fathers wishes only because he’s trying to keep the Strawhats and their friends safe. Ultimately he rejects his father, but ends up saving them anyway. He is kind and even if he could argue that Judge was responsible for his wife’s and Sanji’s mother’s death, he cannot turn his back on them.
After the Whole Cake Island incident, Sanji was given his own Raid Suit as a parting gift. The Raid Suit is designed based on Sanji’s childhood comic book hero, Stealth Black, from an in-universe comic book. The suit grants Sanji the ability of flight and near-invisible camouflage. The invisible camouflage was something Sanji had always wanted due to his less flattering characteristics.
During the fight against Queen, Sanji realized he also awakened dormant abilities due to genetic modifications in his mother’s womb. This not only allows him to move so fast he’s technically invisible but also grants him an accelerated healing rate and much greater durability. Sanji decides to destroy the Raid Suit out of fear that further use would rob him of his emotions and empathy. He even asks Zoro to kill him if he goes too far. The destruction of the Raid Suit, modeled after his childhood hero and created by his previous family, is a symbolic moment where he finally cuts ties with the Vinsmoke Family.
Even though Sanji has formally cut ties with the Vinsmokes, the Germa science is still ingrained in his DNA. He has chosen to utilize that science to become stronger and a better fighter. Sanji has accepted these qualities as part of himself, but he must also contend with his bloodline for the rest of his life. He must ensure that he doesn't lose his better qualities to Germa science. Although Sanji asked Zoro to kill him, it can be seen as a moment where someone troubled by his past seeks help to move forward in his life.
While the portrayal of the Celestial Dragons has been largely homogeneous, it would be lazy to accept them as a homogeneous group. I’m not implying that there are numerous "good" Celestial Dragons among them, but we have seen a few outliers. All of them benefit from their status and the abuse of common people. However, the Celestial Dragons cannot escape their status; going against their own people can result in execution. And as we saw with Doflamingo's family, the very understandable wrath of the common people will catch up to you if the status quo is sustained. It's ironic that those who believe themselves to be the highest hierarchy in the world are still subject to a secret ruler, Imu. Even the Celestial Dragons are deceived.
What if the system of the Celestial Dragons were abolished? Every CD would lose their status, and the system of oppression and abuse would cease to exist. This system has made Celestial Dragons prejudiced, helpless, and even racist, with death seeming like their only redeemable action. While this may be true for some, even most of them, there are likely Celestial Dragons who, when confronted with the weight of their actions, could understand and choose to change. It will require significant effort to overcome the pride, privilege, and prejudice they have acquired. Some may fail, but there are also young people with better chances to grow into decent individuals. I’d argue that even Doffy would’ve grown into a decent person if he ever got the chance.
The real difference between Sanji and the Celestial Dragons is that while the Celestial Dragons have learned and perpetuated their depraved values and qualities, Sanji faces the risk of losing himself to Germa genetic modifications, which are ingrained in his DNA. Sanji has a much steeper hill to climb than the Celestial Dragons, but if he can let go of his past and pursue a kind and virtuous life, so can they—especially if they are shown mercy, kindness, and a simple meal cooked by the kindest chef in the One Piece world.

So basically,sanji will have coc
This is a bachelors thesis
Fr,bro needs to teach me I got a thesis myself
Once we learn more about them, each of the five elders will be an antithesis of sorts to each of the east blue crew members. Maybe in goals or values, each member will have a direct opposition to a specific Elder Star. Giving nice payoff to each of them once the elder stars are all defeated,
Blackbeard is the son of rocks and is currently working to revive him. He is keeping garp alive to lead him to god valley and using Moria’s devil fruit to revive Rocks and the duo (Blackbeard and rocks) will serve as major antagonists in the final war
Interesting theory, how do you think Blackbeard plans to revive Rocks?
My guess is through Moria’s devil fruit but for all we know rocks could even be alive
The thought of zombie Rocks terrorizing the world is pretty funny. Would also lead to some nighttime fights which is something i wish we would see more of in one piece. The thought of Rocks still being alive has crossed my mind a time or 2. You can never really say a character is dead in one piece till you see the body.
Yeah and im assuming zombie rocks would be like edo madara and would do something to bring him back fully.
I also think that rocks and Blackbeard may have some sort of connection (possibly family) to imu. That’s why rocks was so feared and why Shanks is scared of Blackbeard. Since shanks is basically confirmed to be a figarland, it would make sense that he’d know Blackbeard and rocks’ possible connection to imu. Also why rocks and Blackbeard have the same goal (the world). They want to take back their given right to the throne of the world government
you wanna elaborate on that, otherwise it would be more fitting to be discussed in #manga-serious
Anyone else find it funny how the 3 Ancient weapons (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluton) are named after planets.
Similar to the 5 gorosei (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn).
With Luffy being represented as the sun I think there is some connection between them all.
@fierce patrol it’s a good observation and many people have theorized the connection behind it. But since you’re not necessarily presenting a theory on what that connection is, I’d recommend you use #manga-serious instead to discuss this observation and brainstorming what possible answers exist. This channel’s for more in-depth theories that use plenty of observations/reasoning.
sorry i havent been in this discord very long, idk what this means
Don’t worry about it, you’re fine 👍

Kid is one of the Vegapunk's satellites? A lot of his moves use Punk, even his ship named Victoria Punk. He also has number 7, just like other satellites shows their number.
see here is the problem. We have gotten Kidds backstory in one of the recent SBS's and the Vegapunk clones are definitely something a bit more recent because not even Bonney knew about them, Kid is definitely not recent though
Rather than having devil fruits, i believe the gorosei are actual devils themselves (or Gods). Since Imu backwards is Umi (meaning sea), it very well could be that Imu is a god-like being who rejects the power of devil fruits, being the reason users can’t swim
I think we’ll actually see Kid interacting with Vegapunk soon if they escape to Elbaf.
he creates very complex machinery and weapons which we've only seen Vegapunk and Judge do despite being an orphan on some random island ruled by a gang, he shouldn't really have any knowhow to be able to make something like Damned Punk so easily, he would fit the trait of recklessness making Vegapunk discard him due to this for his own safety, he is also shown to have a toy robot and wrench as a kid and seems very interested in weapons as he was watching Ceasar's Punk Hazard broadcast, he is also stated that he would be a weapons merchant in real life, him and Killer share a similar relationship to Shaka and Lilith where the masked one is the voice of reason while the aggresive spiky haired one is a menace(lol), also what caught my eye is that the "07" is very emphasised in this panel which is kinda weird, he also puts numbers on all his named attacks like Punk Gibson and Punk Corna Dio which feels very similar to how Vegapunk numbers his machines
All I'm saying is we got the backstory from Oda and unless he changes it, he can't be one of the clones really
Damned punk isn’t actually super complex it just looks like it because it’s made of scraps it’s just a big gun barrel essentially it’s entirely made and powered by his own power
Hey guys, though I like Zoro, I think Zoro and Jimbe will be going with rest of the crew leaving Luffy and Sanji behind.
This comes from the interaction between Sanji and Jimbe. Jimbe specifically says he will drag Zoro with him if he has to. And this was after Sanji had asked the crew to go ahead without him and Luffy. Conversation is not explicitly pointing to it but it seems to be leaning towards this.
Also, based on other theories online that Zoro took that much time with Lucci because he might still be carrying injuries from Wano (which has always been a theme with Zoro throughout the series). Man is never fully healed. This time his injuries might be too big as he came back after seeing the grim reaper.
Dawgggg good fucking catch
Mayby kidd is like vegapunks hidden eye
Theory: part of the purpose of Impel Down is to imprison specifically Devil Fruit users and keep them alive.
While the prison is brutal and certainly directly kills many prisoners, it is odd how it isn't just an executioner's stand. Why go through the trouble of maintaining such an enormous prison with various tortures for pirates that you never intend to free?
My theory is that it is because of Nika. Since the Nika fruit is apparently somewhat sentient and difficult for the WG to keep track of, it would be easier for them to trap a Nika user (in human form) with seastone cuffs.
The crux of the issue for the WG is that the Nika fruit is so flexible. For Luffy, it manifested as a rubber-power, but given how now that it is awakened, he has shown all sorts of other abilities, it seems likely that other users might start out with a different subset of Cartoon power.
Because of this, it is hard for the WG to pick out a potential Nika among all of the many devil fruit users. Killing users just puts their fruit back into circulation, so rather than kill them, they lock them up for life. This limits the pool of potential imposter-Nikas that the WG has to deal with.
This also helps explain why it is a constructed undersea fort: to make it harder for devil fruit users to flee. The WG seems to control the Red Line, so they certainly have land they could build other prisons on, but an undersea prison is the best for devil fruit users.
Alternate theory: Impel Down could also serve as a pool of sturdy humans for other uses. We know that the WG does experiments that need test subjects (see Kaido backstory). We know the WG can clone, so they'd want strong clone sources. We know the WG has pretty detailed info on the available devil fruits, including ones like the Shadow fruit that can turn prisoners and corpses into powerful soldiers. All of those are good reasons to not execute even extremely powerful criminals. You might need them later.
I am actually pretty sure I know what the shtick of the Gorosei is. Theory: The Gorosei were actually monsters to begin with, and somehow they came under the leadership of Imu. Using the Sunlight Eve Tree to gestate the devil fruits, the Gorosei + Imu actually wished for the Hito Hito no Mi to manifest in order to better camouflage themselves when acting like the leaders of the world [World Government]. This would also have a tie to Chopper immensely because he is the one that has the connection to the original wish of becoming human. Think about it. Why would anyone wish to become a human when humans are the ones that make the wishes that Devil Fruits eventually manifest and become? This would also tie in about Oda revealing the beast names of the Gorosei and not their DFs because they were never Devil Fruit users. This also is foreshadowed about Saturn's method of giving devil fruit powers via the extraction that gave Bonney the Toshi Toshi no Mi. They were administered to the Gorosei to become Humans. So in reality, the Gorosei we have seen for the last 20 years are the Zoan human forms of the original yokai/demons. If you look closely at every Gorosei, you can see how their human characteristics are indicative of their transformations. Shepherd Ju Peter is a Sandworm, and he has a maroon suit with a youthful looking appearance with sandy hair, and a scar on his neck. Ethanbaron V. Nasjuro has a fully bald appearance, with a white gi and a sword. He looks more emaciated then the other Gorosei, further hinting at his Baketsu origin. Topman Warcury has a large elegant mustache that looks like boar tusks, and birthmark spots on his head that looks indicative of his yokai form. Jaygarcia Saturn has a bushy white beard, and dreadlocks which looks like spider legs, and he has a scar on where he would be vulnerable to an attack in his yokai form. Lastly, Marcus Mars has a tall, lanky build with long white hair and a bushy long beard with a goatee that looks like flowing hair of his Itsumade form. Their regeneration abilities come from Imu I believe, but in the Void Century they were definitely originally yokai. What are your guys thoughts?
Why would anyone wish to become a human when humans are the ones that make the wishes that Devil Fruits eventually manifest and become?
We don't know that. there were also many alien races ( I mean outside of human ) during the void century and maybe some of them wished to be human to avoid persecutions
every theory has flaws. i think that theory is pretty cool, and i wouldnt be surprised if thats how oda sets them out to be in the end. he also could pull something better than what the most popular theories are combined
Long ago, the Lunarians lived on top of the redline as gods before Mariejois. This means that they were the caretakers of the Sunlight Tree Eve, meaning they had control over the devil fruits. Why would a Lunarian wish to be a human? Maybe the Void Century flashback will tell us the original system of cooperation between the races.
So there's this order in which the Gorosei have been presented most often in the manga : from left to right, Ju Peter, Nasujuro, Warcury, Mars, Saturn.
It's always seemed to me like an order of age, with Ju Peter being the youngest looking one and Saturn the oldest.
Now chapter 1110 reveals all of their forms, but also that they've got numbers. Those numbers fit the existing order, with Ju Peter at 1 and Saturn at 5.
Now this makes me say two things :
1 - The fact that the numbers go from Ju Peter to Saturn and not the other way around, reinforces the theory that the Gorosei received the Immortality Surgery. The surgery prevents aging, so the earlier you get it, the younger your body will be. This would mean Ju Peter was the first recipient and Saturn the latest.
2 - The monster forms seem to look closer to their human appearances for the higher numbers. Saturn (5) 's human traits can still totally be recognized in his face in monster form. Mars (4) and Warcury (3) don't look human at all but do have attributes resembling their human form (hair and mustache respectively). For Nasujuro (2) and Ju Peter (1) there's no resemblance at all.
The theory is this : all of them received the Immortality Surgery and the ability to turn into a monster upon joining the Gorosei. The numbers indicate the order of entry. And they (Imu ?) got better at making the monster forms over time.
What is the sunlight tree eve ? This could be a sound theory, alright, but it references many unconfirmed stuff to base hypothesis on though
The tree that has it's roots at the bottom at Fishman Island and goes 10,000m above to Mariejois on the surface of the Red Line.
After the hint about BB's "lineage" in a recent chapter, it got me thinking. I have seen a good bit of theories on him being a buccaneer or having split personalities or even being a clone of rocks, but one theory I wanted to extend on is that one of his split personalities is Rocks.
I want to expand on this a tiny bit by thinking that maybe by hinting at his lineage, they were possibly hinting at him being related to Rocks in some way. If Rocks was the previous user of BB's fruit, knowing the powers of the fruit, it wouldn't be fully out of the question that the DF can't absorb people or living beings too aside from powers. The way his lineage could psosibly play into effect is by allowing Rocks to "take over" or switch personalities easier because of being part of the same bloodline. This is just a random theory, especially the lineage part, but at this point, anything could be possible.
What if Imu is a "fairy" that came from the moon. Isn't it curious that Enel calls the moon fairy vearth and that imu is assiciates with nature (butterflies and greenery)
May not be original but what if Luffy is Gol.d.roger? we know time traveling exists from toki in wano from her being from the void century. what if thats what the one piece is? because The similarity between Roger and Luffy is very identical. We also know that Roger suffered from an illness. Luffy has this desease-like problem with him cutting his years with Gears. ✅ If its Valid❌ if this theory sucks
What do you mean by “fairy”? Are you saying Imu is of a completely different race from the typical 3 Sky people? A Tontatta?
You’re right we do know time traveling exists, but not reincarnation. More importantly, if Roger reincarnated into Luffy, why doesn’t Luffy remember the things Roger knew in his past life? Yes they have similar dispositions, but that’s just a byproduct of inherited will imho, not reincarnation. It feels like an uphill battle to prove that Roger reincarnated into Luffy if the only evidence you’re using is that they have similar personalities.
!g2 Also, Luffy’s gears isn’t cutting years off his life, that’s a mistake in the way many people interpreted Lucci’s remarks in Enies Lobby
@wide jewel please use #manga-serious for “what if” ideas, this channel’s for long in-depth theories
well uhhh luffy could possibly time travels back to the Prime time of pirates and starts a crew also known as rogers crew
Okay, now how does that make sense given what we know about Roger’s journey? Could you provide some in-story evidence/reasoning for your ideas?
we know time travel is a thing and we dont know what the one piece is. not the most logical ideas but the one piece could be a time travel device. and we know luffy to love to fight so why would he pass up the offer. it would make sense because no pirate is picking up a ginger red head in a destroyed island.
i actually got that from the panel wear luffy turns old right after gear 5
So Luffy, a df user, went back in time to become Roger, a non-df user? Also yeah you’re right, not even Roger knew he picked up a treasure chest that contained baby Shanks.
Gotcha. Then that would be over-exhaustion, which he seems to recover from with either time or by eating food. We still don’t have any reason to think it’s affecting his lifespan
well time travel would work in a mysterious way. maybe if he went back he would lose the devil fruit but still find it. he would also probably know what the future is so maybe he faked an illness to start the story all over again.
At this point, anything is possible. Oda could take the story in whatever direction he wants. But with how we need to constantly add more and more circumstantial headcanon to make this particular time-traveling theory plausible, it makes it difficult for me at least to believe it’ll happen. Again, not saying it’s impossible, lots of people believe that some time-travel stuff is gonna happen, but it’s a hard sell without more concrete in-story evidence to back it up.
i had the most insane theory involving kuma a few weeks ago during an hour long drive, cant remember it anymore though
I have a big hunch that Usopp will die he makes a comment when meeting the two giants about becoming a true warrior. Along these lines he mentions about as long as he becomes a great warrior of the sea and dies alone on a deserted island he will be satisfied. This deserted island i think will be on Pirate Island (clash with blackbeard). This will also be after he meets his dad and shanks.
I still think world government and imu will be the final battle of the story where friend and foe (law, kidd, big mom etc. and even blackbeard) will join forces much like the ancient alliance except this is towards the world government.
big mom is dead
With Sanji's family wrapped up and Luffy's being most likely plot armour. That leaves Usopp's family, with his mother's passing so early and his dad being apart of shanks crew and little to no info this late in the story. This is why I think usopp will die the emotional hooks were planted pretty early on along with a reunion with his dad into overcoming his dream this late in the story into his death, i think the molding is set for it.
Unknown technically was never confirmed. Remember kaido jumped off clouds to end his own life with no success. As far as Big mom she could of reincarniated herself with her wacky devil fruit.
all depends if she had some sort of item with her before she went down then the reincarnation thing would make total sense
But yea i don't think kaido or big mom are dead. Their honor is for sure after being defeated. Now someone like Ace is completely dead. Fruit out in the wild.
would like to hear some opinions
I think they're both dead, they did say multiple times that this is where your era ends and all that stuff.
Exactly though you said it yourself era = honor. Not death. All the characters we assume are dead have always been on this non confirmation limbo death that oda does. Ace on the other hand the point was driven home that he is dead. I'm calling it now they will end up teaming up with straw hats.
also regarding chapter 1110 since all the elders left is imu watching the broadcast and talking through the transponder to stella?
Snail has a moustache and devilish eyes with no pupils
Mhm, but Oda needs to get rid of the old generation and old Yonkos for the new ones to rise and continue.
I have theory that robin’s bounty will be second highest of the straw hats after egg head arc most likely due to vegapunks announcement
Ye or maybe after elbaf if robin does something with the information she learns there
Okay hear me out a little bit as I have a lot to say. Imu is a pokemon trainer. Well a demon trainer to better say it.
I think that the gorosei were originally inanimate objects that were given devil fruits. They were nurtured by Imu thus gaining their companionship as pets. I think that after achieving awakening they gained sentience along with the ability to pick what their 'human form' looks like. (There was a theory around their hair being the original hint towards their powers like Saturn's dreads looking like spider legs.)
With them originally being objects they won't age or really feel pain. Also with them being demons they innately have a healing factor. So all in all I believe they're the personification of their devil fruits in the truest sense.
Theory on Shanks in the End Game
TLDR: We won’t see Shanks until the final war if the story continues to parallel previous arcs and Oda continues to draws inspiration from The Lost City of Gold.
Parallels from/Mirroring Previous Arcs
A running theme in One Piece is that arcs somewhat parallel each other (e.g., Egghead is pretty similar to Sabaody, Dressrosa to Arabasta, etc.). After Romance Dawn, we didn’t see Shanks pre-timeskip until the Marineford War, where he comes in at the end to stop the war. I think instead of coming at the end, we’ll meet him at Laughtale where he and the Red Hair pirates will be waiting to protect the One Piece for Luffy and crew since the post-timeskip arcs seem to mirror the arcs they parallel.
Out of all of the candidates to find the OP (aside from Cross Guide), Shanks and crew are the only ones who didn’t mention or talk about the “Man marked by flames”, which makes me think he may already know how to get the last poneglyph (or know who it is… I’m leaning to the Scopper theory).
Parallels to the Lost City of Gold
Oda’s favorite anime growing up was the Lost City of Gold and it’s evident that it has inspired OP in many aspects (e.g., plot points, islands designs, character designs). In the Lost City of Gold, when the main characters reach the final island, they meet a mysterious figure whose role was to protect the treasure for the chosen ones to unlock. This mysterious who ended up being revealed as the main character’s father. While it’s possible Dragon could end up taking this role, I’m betting money that it will be Shanks in the end as he’s the father figure who sparked this adventure for Luffy (and isn’t a deadbeat).
Oda never kills anyone
He only kills characters when it seems like it's their time
yamato will join the crew properly
-in the cover story she wants to be like oden and discover the rest of wano, which he also did before wanting to see even more new things outside of it. Just like how yamato originally wanted to go out and see.
-yamato is also keeping momo in the loop about everything and I don't think he would hold yamato back at all saying not to leave Wano.
-Oden, after seeing everything and doing the things he wanted to in wano eventually joined up with a yonkou crew, yamato will also join the strawhats in the same way
-luffy and the crew already know yamato and are not against the new member. She can be a fighter and log their journeys onward like Oden did as well,
-in order to keep up with old parallels as well as current new developments like kuzan joining the bb pirates, the sh's need another powerhouse as well. Yamato and Kuzan both are similar with their ice abilities so it would be a good match up.
-yamato also knows luffy's dream and before jimbei joined he got a cover story. Also has a backstory with ace talking about luffy and that he is an upcoming goat
-momo needs to get strong enough on his own and shouldnt have to rely on yamato for protection
-yamato also wouldnt become just a fleet member because thats not what oden wouldve done and would be going agaisnt what she originally wanted which is to be like oden and go out to sea.
it just feels like a whole waste of time going over all the stuff of yamato wanting to join and being accepted and everything to do with her character if she doesnt eventually join. Especially her flashback with ace and wanting to explore the world, she is one of few characters who can relate with luffy about him.
But brother the main difference is Roger took oden on his crew because he was able to read pony glif and yamato can't do that and strawhats already have Robin
So the chances are slim.
she was already accepted to join and decided not to cuz she thought wano is too weak without her also luffy is fine with her joining regardless of that. also oden joined wb crew just cuz as well
maybe because i'm feeling a bit tired (fasting/eating/praying in this blessed ramadan)... but what if the repeated regeneration of the elders is due to a fountain of youth? and that's the treasure of mary geose doflamingo knew about?
if someone knows about nanatsu no taizai (especially the character ban) maybe my trail of thought is obvious...
I j dont see this happening, im j bias ig im not a big yamato fan
can someone tag me in the Franky Pluton theory pls
This is just something I cooked up, it could be terrible but I honestly would enjoy seeing how this would set up the rest of final saga
My theory:
The end of egghead could be a parallel to sabaody. At that time, luffy couldn't save his crew, but now, it will be the crew not being able to save luffy. He will be captured and egghead will be destoryed. He will be taken to imu (marijois) by the gorosei, where luffy will learn about everything void century, Nika, joyboy (cuz he's been sorta in the dark about this). We may also find out more about the red line and why imu is after vivi. Luffys escape in this situation could lead to Imu using uranus, the third ancient weapon powered by mother flame to eliminate alabasta like how lulusia was nuked, and this could lead vivi to seek out luffy and they have their own mini adventure, maybe picking up Yamato before meeting with straw hats, seeing Sabo, Koby, going to save garp, talking to kuzan about the fight with akainu, potentially an interaction between luffy and Blackbeard. The people of alabasta, just like Pell will not die and they will escape underground because of the gedatsu cover story and because luffy or someone warns them. Post egghead will be a solo luffy arc, the same way post sabaody was and the buildup to marineford. Meanwhile the straw hats, broken after the loss of their captain (especially Zoro who couldn't beat base Lucci, and potentially nusjuro after he fends Zoro off while Saturn, mars and warcury retreat with luffy), still reeling from whatever vegapunks message was, go to elbaf. There they will finally meet with shanks, and usopp will get his arc glow.up. now, the straw hats will have a mini training arc, with Sanji and Zoro training with giants, usopp meeting his father, Sanji and usopp training observation haki (I assume usopp will unlock use of observation at will at the end of egghead) with yasopp and shanks, and everyone else training and resting up (maybe some focus on chopper improving his medicine). The straw hats in elbaf would be cover story, and become manga after some time, to flesh out Loki's reveal and Mjolnir and joyboy lore and whatever
All of this is just my speculation and I don't really have much info to back it up but I'm not sure where else to post this without being annoying
Dk if it was a typo but if this involves 1111 u can’t post it here
Removed it, it wasn't very important anyways
I have a theory the giants are powerful, enough to keep up with the current fights / powers but they have 1 weakness.
A common rebuttal to the giants strength is when Mr 3. was able to manipulate Dorry and Broggy during Little Garden.
However when this was happening, the giants were in an emotionally vulnerable state which I believe is their sole weakness.
When they're overwhelmed by their emotion they loose their mental / obs haki becomes unavailable to them.
Their power and size comes with this drawback but also speaks to their good nature which will tie into life before the void century and Joy Boy.
Gorosei are heirs of WG founding families so they can't be " object "
I think that their power was a DF at first, and it's been transferred through bloodline by previous Gorosei generation.
Some people in OP verse got DF power through DNA and carry them to their heir, that's why Oda introduced it for Bonney to make us realise that DF power can be inherited and not consumed.
Doing this maybe prevent a DF to reincarnate into a fruit, locking them eternally to a specific bloodline.
Saturn made experiment to improve the process with what he considered " useless devil's fruit "
The Gorosei have a number system that has been associated with their summoning circles, the reason Saturn had the number 5 in his summoning circle doesn't appear to be because he's just one of the 5 elders, and their numbers are represented by the order that they were shown in the panels: 1 Ju Peter 2 Nasjuro 3 Warcury 4 Mars 5 Saturn.
I think Ju Peter as the sandworm makes sense as a match up for Dragon. With the emphasis in the last arc on zoans (or mythical transformations), Dragon is probably going to have some dragon like zoan. Even if he doesn't, we know there's some association with the wind, and I think the worm/ground vs dragon/wind fight would be compelling.
Dragon being a dragon zoan would be the most lame thing Oda could do, it's like making Dolflamingo a Flamingo Zoan, ridiculous. People in one piece world don't choose their devil fruit according to their name ( exception, the Boa's sisters but that's because it was probably a sick joke from the CD that fed them the fruit )
My point isn't about him having a dragon devil fruit, and I don't really care if he has a dragon zoan or not, since we know he has some association with wind. My point is the match up.
It's only a theory and people can inherent names through adoption or being bestowed with the names.
Also there's nothing wrong with being wrong on things as we may get this information eventually. I just feel that the immortality surgery being the angle for their age never changing is a bit too cliche and wanted to present another option.
When has a DF been transferred through birth? Saturn said that they gave Bonney an extract of her DF while she was too young to eat solids, not that she was given the DF before she was born
Saturn was experimenting on pregnant women, not the babies right?
Incorrect; experiments continued after because he had control over their lives that created this timeline.
What I mean to say is, Saturn forced god power into her mother's body with science and used trauma to alter Bonnney's genetic power growth. Common evil tactic in humanity.
But then bonney's power manifested way later and not immediatly , meaning that there is a genetic transfer / awakening of power
i didn't think it was very clear if the power manifested later, or if she just didn't know how to use it until later on.
bro in elbaf we need all little garden characters from little garden to just get plot armored and come back
i think an interesting (and dumb) theory is that luffy died against kaido but the spirit of joyboy took his body over and thats who we're seeing right now luffy basically died but joyboy is possessing him now with his current memories and feelings. btw this theory is rly stupid dont take it srsly
it would be a cool and sad twist but that would be too sad for one piece oda would never let it happen. if he did he’d find a way around it like one piece’s version of senzu beans or something
@pure raven are you trying to say Sogeking is a Klabautermann of Ussop’s dream? It’s been an obvious conclusion that Ussop donned the persona of Sogeking for Enies Lobby, so I’m not sure what’s the point you’re trying to make here.
@gaunt idol i recall this being a contentious topic back when ch1043-1052 were coming out. Unless you have more evidence/reasoning to prove that Luffy post-Wano isn’t the same Luffy we’ve always known, then I’d recommend using #manga-serious for shorter ideas like that
!theories @marble owl please ask general questions like that in #manga or #manga-serious
Please refrain from using manga-theories for joke theories, casual chit-chat, power scaling, bounty predictions or low-effort memes. This channel is for serious discussion- please read the channel description. Posts here must be in paragraph form, preferably with evidence, not just a one line open question.
so considering devil fruits are the dreams of the people, at this point it is safe to say that the gorosei powers are the nightmare of the people... and that they are the same kinda? they keep showing powers we've seen in devil users already
As far as I remember, Oda hasn't really ventured into that kind of metaphysical territory before, beyond haki being a bit open ended in how potent it is.
Hopefully because the stuff coming is really going to lean heavily into some kind of jungian/lovecraft nightmare lorecrafting.
Because he always seems to be able to one-up his dark themes on those recurring heavy hitters, while maintaining the spark of hope.
Do you want to elaborate a bit? Are you saying nightmares also play a role in the creation of dfs?
@pure raven is there a larger point you’re trying to make? Otherwise, please feel free to make observations like that in #manga-serious
Just curious, who are you responding to exactly? What lorecrafting are you looking forward to?
Ah sorry, it was about that nightmares of the people idea.
I just feel like One Piece hasn't (explicitly/yet) been making such connections between mind and reality, beyond the own body and personal potency.
But I see it more as a sign that it has been saved for a truly grand finale, than not being ventured into at all.
Because concepts like collective consciousness and abstract/cosmic horror can be really potent in the hands of a really good writer, which Oda is.
@snow walrus firstly, please use #manga or #manga-serious for short “what if” ideas. More importantly, please don’t mention spoilers of other animes/books in the manga channels. Use #other-series or (in your case) #western-series to make those kinds of points
Hmm, some conceptualizing here, it has probably been mentioned countless times already, but im kinda new here and not very versed in earlier theories.
Some mythological sun gods (like Ra and Helios i think) are said to traverse the sky during the day, and descend into the sea (or underworld) during the night, which provides for a loose context as to why DF users are vulnerable to the sea. That is assuming the name "devil fruit" is a name imposed by the world government as a means of social control.
However, their domains primarily tie to the day, but more broadly/loosely also to light, wisdom, order, life or consciousness. In earlier ages, the day was of course the time of activity, humans were more aware of their surroundings when the lights were up, hence the term "being enlightened".
The sea shares a symbolical connection with the moon, night, darkness and chaos. Also masses of people in some context.
Now, back to the devil fruits.
I think the name itself is created by the world government to hide their own alignment and intents. Because that's what opressive governments do, they control the narrative and the language to pull at the root of the peoples thoughts.
The Elders themselves claim that the fruits (at least Model Nika) seem to have a will of their own.
So who's will would that be?
Some theories have been made, which claims that they contain the souls of the people of the lost kingdom, or something similar at least.
But i want to give a second option, or perhaps one that sheds some more light on it.
Again, assuming the world government imposed the name of the devil fruits, it seems implausible that they would go with a half-truth. Rather a full on lie, for maximum effect.
So that would mean the devil fruits are divine fruits, or perhaps something with Deus.
And the celestial dragons, they (or rather their ancestors) assumed the position as The Divine People, presumably to enforce a narrative that was true for the people of the lost kingdom, before themselves.
So where does Imu come in?
Or, why were the people of the lost kingdom divine?
The lost kingdom seems to have had vast knowledge, perhaps power over life itself (some indications on that from the ancient mecha reacting to joyboys heartbeat). This would be seen as divine by less developed nations. So the kingdom would be the embodiment of the sun.
And the current WG would be the antithesis to that, given that they excert control through withholding information, darkness.
So i think there are two polar options to who Imu is, with the name being Umi (sea) backwards.
Either Imu is the embodiment of the sea/darkness/chaos (kinda, a bit cliche though), perhaps with some control over devil fruits or their users.
Or Imu is a direct descendant of the divine people, a fallen star who got dominion over the spoils.
If the elders are not satellites of Imu, Imu needs to have power exceeding their own as they don't seem to be the types being subdued by knowledge alone.
But i don't think the Elders are DF users either then, which leaves just for the second option.
But if they are satellites of Imu, and/or true devils, i think that further supports the idea that devil fruits are actually divine fruits, their users being subdued by the light-engulfing darkness/chaos of the sea.
Now when reading what i wrote however, i feel like i'm just tired or media illiterate and are stating the obvious most of the time there.
The idea of the sun sinking into the sea/ night Ala ra is interesting ngl
Some further expansion now that I finished my duties at work:
We haven't seen any directly moon related devil fruit yet, as far as I can remember. Maybe understandable, as the moon controls the sea, and the sea subdues DF users. Unclear if DF users then dominates the moon in a round of janken, or if the moon is at the top of that chain.
But there are multiple reasons to assume that Imu has some kind of moon related power.
Multiple moon deities have been said to possess healing powers, such as the Greek Selene or the Egyptian Khonsu.
But especially the Chinese moon goddess Chang'e/Heng'e is related to immortality as well.
These are themes that explains both the Elders healing powers, aswell as Imus long lifespan. Or was it even explicit that Imu was super old, or just theorized? I dont remember.
Anyhow, that Chinese moon goddess also had a rabbit, Yu Tu, which ascended with her to the moon, which we see represented by Carrot, who is the first sulong we see transforming under the moon.
The moon also ties mythologically to dreams, and intuition. She (I'm certain she's a she due to the likelyhood of being a contrast to Joyboy/Nika) might maybe have something like mind reading, allowing for high potency in enforcing loyalty and narratives, syncing well with the role as a hidden puppetmaster.
There's also some stuff about Chang'es husband having been an archer who shot down nine suns that scorched the land as well (he got the immortality elixir as a reward, which was stolen by his wife Chang'e).
It sounds improbable that Imu is a whole package carbon copy of Chang'e.
But she might maybe have attained immortality or life extension as a reward for having ended the lost kingdom, being the nine suns due to their scorchingly high levels of knowledge.
This last paragraph is kinda loosely assumed though.
And yeah, theres the lunarians as well, glaringly named similar to the name of the moon.
I had just forgotten those though, so I have no idea what to make of that.
And when luffy awakens everyone’s memories come back like zunesha and they remember who joyboy was
@wind flower this will prove Oda's word to be TRUE since he said the series will end when the one piece is found,
Luffy goes back in time, fixes everything, return to laughtale to find the new one piece treasure and then everyone laughs........and they lived happily ever after.
It's very generic
Dosen't that mean it will become a loop?
nope ig bcoz if Laughtale really is a time travelling spot then... Roger would have been a time traveller too
I don't understand why so much theories assume Luffy care about world peace, Joyboy, the Void Century and whatnot. He clearly doesn't care, he only care about what his friends in present time is going through
It would make zero sense, and super boring, to luffy go back in time and write messages to himself.
Well idk prob cos he didn’t had the nika fruit
Would make all of one piece pointless while also making Luffy responsible for all the deaths in the series
Isn’t story to be ended when luffy also achieves his other dream besides one piece, well I guess that could become a prologue or something
his dream would be so silly and something that is so like him like having the largest party ever
@heady zealot please use #manga-serious instead since your idea about Brook and Venus being related is only a hypothesis right now.
@plain barn please ask questions in #manga-serious
oh okk thnx for telling me 👍🏻
@pure raven it’s an interesting set of predictions, but since it’s rough and is trying to capture everything that happens from now till the end of the story, it’s mostly in headcanon territory. Probably best to use #manga-serious if you’re looking for feedback on these predictions and/or find evidence pointing to it being true/false
Alr thanks
Do you have any in-story evidence/reasoning pointing to the final island having a Time Machine? Also, hasn’t Luffy already awakened and Zunesha did not suddenly get his memory back? It’s an interesting idea but it’s hard imho to make it plausible given what we know right now
Nah it’s just a theory on how could it become, I’m not using any clue already from manga/anime I’m just guessing.
Yeah I gotchu, but then that’s considered headcanon, something we don’t really allow in this channel. #manga-serious is less strict about this, so I’d recommend using it for out-of-the-box ideas like that in the future. It’s a great place to brainstorm different ideas about the story.
Please refrain from using manga-theories for joke theories, casual chit-chat, power scaling, bounty predictions or low-effort memes. This channel is for serious discussion- please read the channel description. Posts here must be in paragraph form, preferably with evidence, not just a one line open question.
Hear me out. The Iron Giant is an ancestor of Jack. This can be concluded since they appear to be very similar. Same horn, same iron guard, similar facial structure, similar body structure (though the iron giant is most likely larger than jack).
#ONEPIECE1111
It’s a robot
Franky is gonna land at least 1 good hit on V. Nusjuro, evidence?:
-
egghead was very much meant to be a franky arc and most hes done until now is do insignificant damage to Saturn
-
nusjuro is on his way to franky, bonney and everyone else
3)with kuma down for the count it does seem like a good opportunity for him to step up and just pull some armament haki out of his ass
- I really love franky and want my guy to do something awesome
I really don’t think Franky is going to do much frighting in the last war. Looking at Franky I can’t imagine a giant upgrade unless vegapunk intervenes however I do believe he will rebuild pluton.
I MOSTLY CALLED IT
ZEHAHAHAHAH

What if Saul is the original joyboy from the void century?
Luffys laugh in the recent chapter (shi shi shi shi) is very similar to sauls laugh (dereshishishi)
Saul is the only giant we know of who has the D initial
The giant straw hat in mariejois, wouldn’t that fit Saul?
Though this theory is most likely incorrect, it could very well be that Saul is an ancestor of the original joyboy
The giants have to be connected to joy boy one way or the other
might be a descendant but not joyboy himself
but it'd be strange if he was a descendant, too since he must have (imo) knew smth about his granddad and would have talked about it to his friend Olivia (robin's mom)
OK wild theory here, the apology on fishman Island wasn't actually from Joyboy, but from Joyboy's nakama and was misread or misinterpreted by Robin, the nakama or robot were apologising back then for betraying or failing Joyboy in his time of need. This matches up with Zou as well having failed Joyboy in the past.
Big brain
The robot has King's features though, I literally explained everything in the tweet lol. I can clearly tell you skimmed over it, didn't look at the comparison, or didn't even look at the tweet to begin with. Before talking about theories, maybe you should first educate yourself about the theory, and think of a counterclaim before saying something like this.
It’s a robot it literally can not have a child
His heart stopped we see it in a previous chapter
Idk about others thoughts. I don't believe the gorosei had immorality given from the op op. I think they're something else, since their demons and based on how Saturn's power was announced.
I think they have a literal power that allows them to be immortal below the recline. Similar to how the lunarians were near immortal. That this power is actually apart of them being celestial dragons. Where they have part of their will bound to the lower levels of the world. Some type of demon Magix shit.
Toki is nefeltari D lili
the symbol of the kozuki clan is the half moon, what else looks like a half moon, the D.
It’s confirmed Lili was a member of the D clan. Toki mentioned that she was searching for her family — the Amatsuki family. Amatsuki means “heavenly moon” in Japanese
The heavenly moon used to be “one piece” (the amatsuki clan) before it became the half moon, the D, which is also the symbol of the kozuki
so all of this connects back to one place — wano, which is revealed to have the ancient weapon Pluton within its borders.
We know Lili was a D clan member and was queen of alabasta— a member of the original 20 kingdoms. There are many poneglyphs in Alabasta— the most notable containing information on Pluton.
Toki also knew about the prophecy that joyboy would awaken 20 years from the time of her death — in the form of Luffy.
And lastly — quite an obvious observation but look at Toki’s hair colour
And also, if pluton was built in alabasta, but given to wano to avoid suspicion, that’s even more evidence
So if D is a half. 2 Ds is an O. What starts with the letter O?
One piece
There you go. We cracked it boys
Good point on the Amatsuki. It’s also worth mentioning that the other clans in Wano with the “moon” in their name: Shimotsuki (frost moon) and Kozuki (light moon), and Fugetsu (romantic moon). There is some strange connection between Wano and Alabasta and I agree that it all comes down to how we think that Poneglyph made its way to Alabasta. My impression was that Toki was told the 20-year prophecy from her family, but it could have been a thing she learned as Lili (or even nearby Lili). Also, we don’t know where Pluton was built, so it’s hard to claim it’s from Alabasta. But we can assume its blueprints were with the shipwrights of Water 7 for many generations if we think Tom’s blueprints were to make another Pluton, which makes it even more confusing.
I agree with most of what you said, but wanted to offer a slight correction: the Lunarians are very durable, but they aren’t immune to the passage of time. King grew older and there’s no reason to believe he won’t die of old age someday. Perhaps you’re referring to something like Sugar, who is “perpetually young” due to her df and won’t age. It’s possibly some sort of demon magic thing
@zenith wigeon next time please use #manga-serious for questions like what you had about Vegapunk’s alive/dead status
There is some similarity in their armor. Maybe it’s a style from the past. Perhaps it is something Jack inherited as a fishman from his ancestors that used to work with the Ancient Kingdom and/or Joyboy. However, I’m not sure about Jack knows about Joyboy and followed Kaido because of that. It’s not like Kaido walks around calling himself Joyboy. The fishmen have a legend about Joyboy, King Neptune seemed guarded when he was explaining who Joyboy was to Robin back in ch649.
I feel like he would know about the Kaido = Joyboy theory, not because of Kaido himself, but because of his crew. When King conversed with Kaido on who could ever beat him, Kaido said whoever was JOYBOY I believe, and I think King said that I believed Kaido was JOYBOY, meaning he was never going to be defeated for good. Jack and Queen would then learn about this information as well, and this would then spread to the rest of the crew, causing them to act all high and mighty because their captain is allegedly undefeatable.
King used to believe it but let it go once he got older because it was basically a fairy tale to him. I’m actually curious if Kaido even knew that Wano was the prophesized location for the return of Joyboy
A theory, i think robins mom is still alive because after the buster call the entirety of Ohara wasn’t destroyed and the books remained intact even Saul is alive, so it’s wouldn’t be much of a stretch that robins mom is actually alive but is in heavy hiding because of the world government.
Well yea it’s possible, but honestly kinda rude if she didn’t tell Robin all that time 😭
Who knows maybe at the end she will tell robin if she lived
A theory, if Imu is the Umibozu, who makes DF users lose their powers in sea waters (it is sea will), then he can make exception for Goroseis, so they will be immune to sea water.
Nah, that would be almost like calling Kuma rude.
And we don't do that here.
The One Piece world is enormous. I think I might be onto something when I say that all humans in One Piece have become super tiny. Just look at Joy Boy's crew: a GIANT ELEPHANT, a GIANT MERMAID, and a GIANT ROBOT. Plus, Joy Boy himself was a GIANT with his GIANT STRAW HAT. And now, guess what? What do the Gorosei call people today? YES, EXACTLY, INSECTS!!! Tiny little insects. You can't tell me I'm not onto something.
Yeah sure, Joyboy was perhaps big, but the giant straw hat really doesnt look enormous.
Like, a diameter of something like 8dm or less?
Ain't the giants from Elbaf conciderably bigger than that?
Yeah the hat doesn’t seem big enough especially when there’s just very large humans like whitebeard and Kaido in one piece
Yeah.
If Dorry and Brogy are about 20 meters tall, their hat diameter should be like just under 2 meters.
But Joyboy should've been like 7+ meters tall if it actually was his hat, assuming proportions roughly like a human.
So still pretty big.
Yeah he’s definitely big but not like giant size
may be he was from buccaneer race
and i do do belive that not only kuma but Blackbeard do belong to buccaneer race
This is a shot in the dark, but what if the reason the Iron Giant is apologizing is because he wasn't able to wake up during the time that Joyboy was alive 800 years ago, and then 200 years ago, he woke up from some source of energy and attacked Marijoa because he was late. There has to have been something that Joyboy did during that time that he wasn't awake. I think it might have something to do with the day that Zunisha got punished and what Joyboy/Zunisha did that day. I just think that the Iron Giant wasn't awake at the time to help them, or at least not around. If I'm right about him being asleep at that time, then he probably would have felt bad about not helping them and letting the World Govenment win
Or it is going for an upscale hyperbeam and knows one of Luffys friends is probably going to get caught in it.
That was my first thought.
Does the Umibozu have that characteristic from its myth? Could you elaborate a little bit more on what you think the Gorosei’s powers are exactly? If the Gorosei’s powers are related to dfs, doesn’t that make Imu’s potential yokai status also related to dfs and thus also have weakness to water?
Are you saying Lili and Imu were also giants? I agree that if the frozen straw hat belongs to Joyboy, then it’s possible his crew were very big
maybe lili, but i dont think imu and the goroseis are human
Here are my predictions, I believe this is what is gonna be coming in the next final 150 chaps or so, in 3-4 years, first regarding JoyBoy :
Joy Boy and Roger and Luffy are descendants of the D clan. Imu, another D clan member, betrayed the clan 900 years ago. The D clan, likely the ancient kingdom, attained immortality and advanced science. Joy Boy, their leader, had a significant role involving the activation of advanced technology (his heartbeat). Later, devil fruits and devil furit users emerged suddenly.
ONE PIECE could be this knowledge and activation method by which Devil Fruits trap spirits of D Clan members. Facing certain annihilation, JoyBoy trapped their spirits till the "appointed time" that the poneglyphs (at Fishman Island) speak of. Gol D Roger realized they're all still alive, moving him to tears and laughter at how this could be and what a insane man JoyBoy was.
this is what Will of D is https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/490821050200883211/1221178470781030522/image.png , why devil fruits have a will of their own and act on their own, why df fed to even inorganic items creates life.
Devil Fruits are more than just peculiar fruits but vessels containing the spirits of the D Clan members, waiting to be released at the "appointed time" referenced in OP https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/490821050200883211/1221171572396523601/image.png https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/490821050200883211/1221171599831470090/image.png

Imu's betrayal of the D Clan aligns with the theme of betrayal and hidden agendas prevalent in One Piece.
-
The concept that One Piece involves the release or liberation of trapped spirits aligns with the notion of a treasure that carries immense significance beyond material wealth.
-
Gol D. Roger's emotional reaction upon reaching Raftel and discovering the true nature of One Piece implies that it transcends mere treasure. The revelation that the spirits of the D Clan members are still alive.
During Roger's flashback, he cryptically states, "I'm not going to die, partner." This statement has puzzled fans for years, as it seemed to defy logic. However, if JoyBoy made it so that Devil Fruits are indeed vessels containing the spirits of the D Clan members, Roger's statement takes on new significance. Instead of dying in the conventional sense, his soul may have latched onto a Devil Fruit upon his death. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/490821050200883211/1221174226657214503/image.png https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/490821050200883211/1221166933873918162/E-YYZhSWYAAFEpf.jpg
Otherwise what a bizzare thing to say ?! How did a man who kept saying I am going to die soon all his life especially for the last years of his voyage suddenly say THIS ? What changed ever since he found the One Piece.
JoyBoy, the leader of the D Clan, modified the souls of his people so that they become spirits attached to Devil Fruits. This modification could have been a means of preserving the essence of the D Clan members for a future purpose when the "appointed time" comes. For which both Wano and Fishman Island need to prepare.
Devil Fruits are trapped D Clan members THEORY
Roger has long been a DEAD man when the war between WB and Navy starts, then why did Whitebeard say THIS "The man that roger is waiting for ... ... is definietly not you Teech." ? How can Roger be "waiting" for anyone at all, unless the theory is valid and we know Whitebeard is one of the few people to whom Roger has revealed the whole TRUTH. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/490821050200883211/1221184616992342099/image.png
Fishman Island and Wano need to prepare to assist the D clan when the time comes. It's possible that these Poneglyphs contain instructions or prophecies regarding the liberation of the spirits of the D Clan members trapped within Devil Fruits. Since both Wano and Fishman Island have gone through oppression and adversity, they could be sympathetic to the D clan and still resonating with the ideas of their old scientifically advanced ancient kingdom. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/490821050200883211/1221182093850312714/image.png https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/490821050200883211/1221182435744546896/image.png
Here is my thoerie why Zoro will become a woman
Hey, sharing links to theories are fine but we always ask ppl to provide a short summary of the idea and the evidence that it uses just so people know what they’re clicking. 2-3 entrances would suffice. edit: it’s been a day and I haven’t heard back, deleted for now. Feel free to repost when you have that summary with it
I’m sure people have already said this but Roger must’ve known he was too early because there was something on laughtale that didn’t make sense. But when joyboy appears, things start to awaken, like zunesha and the robot. So after reading the new chapter, I think there’s something that will “awaken” in some sense when Luffy gets there and transforms into gear 5

Elders and Imu
Once on Reddit I made a post noting the sheer nightmare fuel of the Yokai forms of the Elders and the significance of how they clashed with the tone of every other character design in the series to that point.
Then I noticed something more concrete their designs have in common... the EYES.
Their eyes are ALL THE SAME...
The same eyes as each other.
The same eye design... as Imu!
Though Imu's are usually different, they took on an eerily simular shape when they became enraged at Sabo appearing in the throne room.
Imu's eyes are, if not exactly the same, very similar. If any different, perhaps just to show he us the top... or maybe the original.
The Elders power may not come from devil fruits....
They themselves may be offshoots of Imu, or had their power granted by him.
Then I remembered the scene with Sabo witnessing them. They were silhouettes.
Imu has always been a silhouette. Speculation has run rampant on this.
But... all the speculation until now that I've seen assumes he is human-looking. But what if he is permanently yokai form?! Or just an in-between, like a Zoan?
Yokai, especially of the variety the Elders take the form of, are often associated with demons or demonic spirits.
Making Imu akin to the Demon King.
Or... the Devil
More likely an allegory, but still...
The irony that the "Gods of the World" are, in reality, men who defeated the ancient kingdom by making a Deal with the Devil!
Those are where my thoughts led. What do you think?
Also
Theory: If there is to be a 10th Straw Hat at all (still skeptical of that, but if there is) it will be some form of Dr. Vegapunk.
I'm predicting the awakening and reveal of a secret 7th satellite, possibly functioning as a new body for the Stella.
Lili is Toki
Posted this theory yesterday but I have even more evidence now
First of all, Tokis hair is very similar to Vivi’s.
Following so far?
We know toki originates from the void century, and so does Lili.
Imu claims that it was Lili’s fault the poneglyphs were spread across the world. Many people believe that the world government just had Lili killed, but that might not be the case. Imu genuinely seemed surprised when they found out Lili was a member of the D clan. If Lili truly disappeared, it would make sense for her to have gone to the future.
The first time we see Poneglyphs is in Alabasta, where Crocodile was trying to use Robin to get information on the ancient weapon Pluton. Since we now know Pluton is located in wano, why would the poneglyphs containing information on it be in Alabasta? Because Lili was the queen of Alabasta.
Toki’s eventual goal was to go to wano, where her family, the “Amatsuki” clan was. Amatsuki directly translates to “heavenly moon”.
The moon is very important in the one piece world. It is likely that the D stands for “dawn”, while also representing a half moon.
Let me explain.
Toki knew exactly when joyboy would reappear. If the original name for the D clan was the Amatsuki clan, and if we’re assuming joyboy was a D clan member. The Amatsuki clan that Lili was searching for very well could have been the D clan.
Lili’s letter said something along the lines of “bear the flag of the dawn against the world”, and Toki’s final words were “you are the moon unaware of the dawn”
I also have a similar theory to this that I’ve been working on getting evidence for a while now. One of the core mechanisms in OP lore is the combination of deities and entities across different myths and ancient religions/cultures. We’re seeing this rn with the yokai form of the elders (japan) the giants (Norse). My thoughts led me to believe that it’s possible for Imus character to be based on a maternal figure from Greek or Roman mythology. This lead me to believe Imu draws a lot of similarities with Echidnas mythos. Echidna the mother of monsters gave birth to many iconic Greek monsters and was known for being extremely hidden. I believe Imus fruit has to deal w some mythological deity and echidna would make the most sense and might give an explanation as to the origins/powers of the elders
In that line, Imu's power may not be a Devil Fruit... but it may share an origin with Devil Fruits themselves.
Some source of power that existed 900 years ago... linked to Echidna in some way. Perhaps some Echidna rep spawned Imu...and Devil Fruits
That’s a good point bc I still haven’t thought about where the origins of DFs impact/are caused by Imus existence. This makes me think the events that led to imu gaining that power are the catalyst for what caused the world to change back then
Another interesting thing about echidnas lore is she was killed by a giant with 100 eyes, this could tie in with nika/joyboy being tasked to defeat imu 900 years ago but failing and as a result imu and her monster children rule the world from the shadows
I might posit that Imu might not be Echidnas herself.
Imu is probably male, maybe even formerly human. The same Imu as one of the original 20 kings who made the original "Deal with the Devil" at least because... wait for it.... he desired Lily Nefertiri. Now he desires her descendant who might even greatly resemble her.
(Yeah, the Great Imu has dedicated incel stalker tendencies. Don't pretend it's impossible)
Imu might just be the first or primary benefactor of the Echidnas character
Why did you have to make me look up the wiki on Echidna.
I did absolutely not expect that statue.
It dawned on me after watching the new episode last night that the iron giant was climbing to marijoa to save the previous user of the hito-nika fruit which was 100% a giant wearing a straw hat whom obviously lived 200 years previously (he could very well be older than 200 years) and was able to awaken the fruit in the middle of a fight with the gorosei/Imu (someway somehow perhaps through a near death experience like luffy). It only could have awoke once that previous users heart started beating to the drums of liberation, robonosuke was then activated and started making its way to Pangaea Castle but either it was stopped by someone or it ran out of power before it could make it to joyboys side (joyboy was defeated and thus the power source of robonosuke was no longer sending out its signal)
i remember that kid said for finding the last road Poneglyph they should find a man marked with flames
the only person that i can think of is dragon
i know its a dumb theory but yea
@golden crown do you want to elaborate a bit and explain why you think it’s dragon? Are there any clues that connect the two?
i fell like his face marks should have a back story cuz they are so specific and if we have seen the man whom is marked with flames already i think it could be him
but there is a big chance that we havent seen him yet
actually I fuc wid this theory, that's also what I noticed btw, my conjecture was that probably Imu has a chess fruit or something and the 5 are like the horse, rooks, bishops etc.
@steady prism can u delete ur messages in between, I have stitched together the theory maybe it will make better sense now, what I thought how events will unfold or what will of D is.
I’m really invested in the theory that joyboy had a crew similar to luffys, ancient robot = franky, zunesha = chopper, but maybe in there time they somehow let down Joyboy, with the SH not letting history repeat itself
Laughtale is not a sky, underwater or "conventional" island, it is and island that's beneath the ocean´s floor
That I agree!
I believe that BB wanted Boa's fruit not for power but as a gift for the giants that supports Rocks' Ideal, and was planning on making an alliance with them. HOWEVER, it will be Buggy that will gain the favor of those giants, making BB's plan fail in the process.
Since Sabody is an reversal of egghead. It would be hilarious that elbaf will not only be an inverse to water 7/ennies lobby, but a little bit of amazon lily. The reason would be related to Buggy.
As Luffy made boa hancock fell in love with him, Buggy will copy the same procedure towards the leader of the giants that supports Rocks. (but in a more humorous way).
Theory about Laughtale:
Whitebeard saying "The one Roger is waiting for"
Roger having told Rayleigh "I won't die"
Some form of Gold Roger is probably waiting at Laughtale. I know he was executed, but this soul theory of Vegapunk combined with Joy Boy's connection to both the One Piece and the advanced Ancient Kingdom has me thinking some fragment, copy or even disembodied consciousness of Roger was left there or even transferred there.
When Luffy arrives, there might be a hilarious scene where Roger talks to him...assuming that he is Ace. Since Roger insisted his son would be the next one there. Would be a mixture of awkward, funny, and heartwarming
Another thing: Ever wonder why Garp was so obsessively hunting Roger, even before he made a name for himself at God Valley?
I think it's because Roger had influenced Dragon. Dragon saw Roger in some positive light after an encounter, along with seeing how the Marines served more as enforcers for the Celestial Dragons than defenders of people, and questioned a lot of things, leading to his desertion and founding of the Freedom Fighters.
Garp would blame Roger.
Then, years later, Roger's apprentice would become a "Bad Influence" on Luffy.
😉
I still Believe that Buggy would be another option of who Roger is waiting for.
the 3 ancient weapons,
shirahoshi (a kid) posiedon
momo (a kid) : pluton
and this also only leaves another kid to have control of the other weapon uranus .
and we recently found out that a character who is actually a kid is jewelerry bonney
it is highly likely that vegapunk or kuma in their memories have shown her something or given her command of uranus just like how she has command over all of the pacifistas.
and considering an ally of luffy/nika she is highly likesly to play a huge role further on
ive been thinking about shanks' alias "red-hair" a lot. its what everyone refers to him as and its even the name of his movie. having red hair isnt that crazy in the grand scheme of one piece tho. we have minks, giants, fishmen, people with horns, and etc. so having red hair isnt something notable. I mean kidd and ichiji have red hair too. then i realized something. did oda name shanks' crew the red hair pirates just because red hair sounds like red herring?
did u just make that theory after seeing the screenshots I posted here
Nope. Been had that one for years
I see, alright 👍
My theory on the ancient weapon Uranus
I believe it’s a giant robot like the one at egghead
you wanna elaborate what makes you think that? evidence?
The robot climbed the redline what 800yrs ago I think and they mentioned there was an advanced civilization and it awakened and said I’m sorry joyboy so possibly it could be a giant robot just a theory I thought about
It climbed 200 years ago actually
Wouldn’t Uranus be the weapon used to destroy that island?
It would also match with the mythology that links it to the sky itself
!theories Let’s maybe move this Uranus discussion to #manga-serious unless there’s more evidence to prove that the robot specifically is Uranus
Please refrain from using manga-theories for joke theories, casual chit-chat, power scaling, bounty predictions or low-effort memes. This channel is for serious discussion- please read the channel description. Posts here must be in paragraph form, preferably with evidence, not just a one line open question.
But joyboy exist in 100 century void and robot climbed red line 200 years ago. It doesnt add up.
What was robot doing for 600 years then?
Theory: Kizaru faked it all since the beginning
1: Kizaru didn’t get hit a single time by Luffy, but when he notices Luffy is about to reach his limits, he gets hit?!
Bro what if Kizaru purposely took himself out of the game for a few minutes. Maybe that’s why the fastest man got hit
2: Genuinely tho it’s curious that Kizaru dodged everything and than when he openly admits Luffy is near his limit, he can’t dodge it? And it took one hit to knock him down? And even more, he was conscious the whole time. He was acting like he acted last panel “Oh give me a second I’m hurt can’t get up”
Has anyone noticed how almost every arc after the timeskip can have a theme for Gigatification.
Punk Hazard- The Experimented Kids
Zoa- Giant Elephant
Dressrosa- Forming of a Giant Fleet
WholeCake Island- Big Mom and her Giant lineage.
Wano- Giant Skull, The Numbers, Zunesha, Pluton, Giant Walls
Egghead-Giant Robot, Giants, Giant Devil forms
With all that, I'm thinking that the Ancient Kingdom was a Kingdom of the Buccaneers.
This ties the whole Pirates had control 900 years ago playing with the fact that Buccaneer is or can be another name for Pirate.
