Because if you think about it the chapter started with a flashback of York KNOWING the CDs would betray her and then she said to vegapunk AFTER THE FLASHBACK she’s still gonna become a CD. The Fourth Haki: Seimei Kikan or Bio Feedback

Rokushiki by in itself is actually an absurd power along with the fact that some characters like Miss GoldenWeek and Paulie apparently has not to mention characters like Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Jinbei has survived things like impalement and injuries that would have outright killed them. And with what we currently know about Haki there is no literal explanation for why someone like Whitebeard can even survive getting impaled multiple times in Marineford or hell why the world government agents and Marins can do insanely strange things with their bodies using Rokushiki unless you hear something interesting with Kumadori during the Enies Lobby arc. He mentions something called Bio Feedback and being able to control bodily functions and the extents of that are unknown but so far Kumadori has used it to control his hair and body to consume food at a faster rate than any normal human. Perhaps this Bio Feedback can have different kinds of application like surviving more than lethal blows and still being able to push your body to the limits like what we see with Zoro and Luffy in most of their battles and how they survive seemingly more than fatal wounds.

Trafalgar Law will survive his fight with Blackbeard because of a writing principle called Chekov's Gun. Basically an element in a story must be necessary. If a writer features a gun in a story, it must be necessary and you should expect it to be fired later on. Law's gun in this instance would be the immortality surgery. I also wouldn't be surprised if he became a Straw Hat later. The prerequisite of Straw Hats are usually that the person has a dream they want to accomplish and a sad backstory: Law has both.

Aight, hear me out. The word SHOCK is used even in the Japanese. This is kinda unusual word to use in Japanese.

The word shock reminds me to one of Kuma's move, Ursus Shock. Ursus Shock uses the kanji 熊の衝撃 (Kuma no shogeki) literally meaning Bear Impact. A bear that will impact the world, it's Kuma.

A lot people points out that Egghead looks like the Fuji TV broadcast building. What if it's not a coincidence. Oda wanted Egghead to be the place where Kuma broadcast all his pain to the world.

Kuma broadcast will be a SHOCK to the entire world. This will be the infamous incident that happened in Egghead. Kuma's past being broadcasted will show the world the truth about the World Government. This will be the fire that start the world revolution. This will make the World Government make a move for their great cleansing, thus making them the big antagonist for the final arc.

It's hard to say with any certainty, but there's gotta be some connection.

So, since Luffy is Brazilian, I found(from the most recent source I could find) the average life expectancy of a Brazilian, it is 74 years old, so let’s do the math.

74-19= 55-(10x2)= 35, now it is most likely less, especially with Gear 5th’s old-ifying thing. With Rayleigh also noting about how Gear 4th is bad for Luffy, so I’m going to take 5 years off, and my guess for Luffy’s life is <30, still a lot, but not great for a future King of the Pirates, without the research though. I say he has 2 years minimum.

I suspect law will die to BlackBeard due to the fact that blackbeard is based off an actual pirate from the 1600's-1700's
and if you take a look at the real Edward Teach's pirate flag, you will see a skeleton stabbing a heart and as we all know. Law's crew is the Heart Pirates so in conclusion Law MIGHT lose to blackbeard if oda is going based off the real Marshall teach's flag.

i have a cool theory about blackbeard's devil fruits and what makes sense to be his last fruit, the ice ice fruit. Don't take this too serious as it has a lot of holes, but everything seemed to add up, so I had to share!

Why Blackbeard currently has a mythical zoan
I think there's a very good chance that his current devil fruit is not the yami yami no mi, but is a mythical zoan, whether it's moon god fruit or devil or demon I don't know. When Oda revealed that he had lied to us about the gomu gomu fruit being a zoan, this opened up a new world of possibilies for other fruits, and it would make the most sense if his parallel in the story was the same way. Before the nika reveal, there were many odd things about his fruit that no one seemed to put that much thought into it because they shrugged it off for being a shonen, but I think every single detail matters, and Oda is more methodical in planning powers than we think.

So we know that just like Luffy's fruit had properties that seemed weird for its title, so does blackbeard's. The yami yami no mi does not behave like a logia in the slightest, with it's only linkage being tied to an element. One of logia's main characteristics, intangibility, is missing of course, and the fruit possesses a weird additional power: nullifying other abilities. No other logias have an additional ability like this. In fact, only one type of devil fruit seems to consistently give the user another paramecia-like power through its main one, and that is mythical zoans (marco - healing; kaido - fire, wind, lightning; orochi - extra lives).

Why the Hie Hie no mi?
First of all, the basis of blackbeard gaining Aokiji's fruit is that he will gain a logia to fulfill having one of the strongest of each type, assuming the yami yami no mi is a zoan. However, this is a baseless theory in it's self and its possible Oda gives him another paramecia (as paramecias are stronger anyway).

There are 4 different requirements I am looking for in finding which logia Blackbeard will gain.

1. Needs to be one of the stronger ones
2. Can't be in use already by a major villain Luffy has extensively thought
3. Needs to be at least possibly accessible/reasonable for him to obtain
4. Needs to have some kind of symbolic meaning and dynamic to Luffy and his fruit

For the first one, I think it's self-explanatory that blackbeard will obtain one of the stronger logias. After all, this is the end game of yonko-level monsters fighting, and Oda is trying to make the villains as threatening as possible and the fights as exciting as possible. Obtaining the swamp fruit wouldn't be exciting at all and wouldn't give him any threat. So I believe this can eliminate a bunch of fruits: smoke, sand, swamp, gas, and snow

I think the second requirement is very very important for Oda to keep fights fresh and exciting. This follows the same reason I didn't think BB would get Kaido's fruit. When Oda has a major villain use a powerful devil fruit, he very often extensively explores this fruit and its various abilities over the fight. It would honestly feel repetitive, boring, and cheap for Blackbeard to just be using the same fruit we spent so long overcoming and seeing. I think this can eliminate the magma, light, and plant fruit, belonging to the three admirals, as the Straw Hats' fight against those 3 will likely be long and we will just spend so long with those

The third requirement is also important. This means we can eliminate Enel's lightning fruit as he is out of the story, and it would be an asspull to bring him in for Oda to give his fruit to BB. Also, more importantly, this fruit wouldn't have an effect on Luffy as already seen in Skypeia, so it's pretty much pointless. I also think this can eliminate the fire fruit as well, because it would make no sense for Sabo to die, given the arc Oda is setting him on, and it would thematically contradict both BB and Luffy's fight.

Wow, that leaves just one devil fruit for us, the ice ice fruit, and guess what! This fruit fulfills the fourth requirement the best out of any of the other fruits in my opinion. As nika, Luffy represents the Sun, but he also represents fire (very closely tied to the sun). The fire and the sun are commonly portrayed as the same in One Piece by Oda thematically. For reference, "Relight the fires of Shandora" in Skypeia is just another parallel for the sun god and the dawn of the world. That's why ice is a perfect contrast for what Luffy symbolizes. It fits even more given that Blackbeard has a heart of ice.

Oh and did I not mention that out of all of the current logias, the ice fruit is closest to Blackbeard and Blackbeard will have a reason to obtain it, given that Aokiji is likely a traitor working for SWORD. Blackbeard is the most methodical character we have seen so far. I would doubt he doesn't at least suspect Aokiji might betray him. In fact, maybe he is trying to keep him close so that he can steal his fruit in the first place.

Logia fruits users are not intangible. The users have the ability to turn them intangible more or less reflexively.
The reason logias work like they are intangible is because they can let things attacks etc pass through them.
And Blackbeard explained why his fruit behaves the way it does. Since his fruit sucks in everything he can't let anything pass through him. So effectively he can't phase through attacks since his Yami Yami no me powers won't let anything pass through it.
This is also the reason why luffy could hit enel without haki. Enel can't let rubber pass through his body since he is lightning. Effectively if everything was made of rubber enels fruit wouldn't look like a logia but it still would be.
I would imagine that if you were to trap kizaru in a black box which does not let any light pass through ,you could probably crush him to death.

Additionally, do note that Kuma was asking where the straw hats would "like to go" right before he smacked them, so his devil fruit could have been playing on subconscious internal ideas the straw hats had about what they'd need to develop themselves as well.

But in my opinion, the seakings saying "this time" indicates there is a known cyclic nature to the world, which I think we all assume is somehow related to rotation of planets.

For example, previous mythology believed planetary alignment and/or positioning could have some sort of super natural effect on certain people on earth.

One day on Vearth is measured by the time it takes for the moon to make one full rotation around Vearth. Perhaps time is measured in rotation of other planets as well, and perhaps that is because notable events happen each time. The mechanism I have proposed goes something like this:

Every 200 years: Poseidon is born

Every 400 years: The Nika fruit chooses a new candidate to work towards awakening it

Every 800 years: The planet makes a full rotation around the sun, and if it is an elliptical orbit, it can also mean the time when the sun is closest to Vearth. So it is not enough for Poseidon to be born. And its not enough for Poseidon and Luffy to Nika to both be born. You need all 3 for the big event, and even then, it is not guaranteed.

I think the big hole in the time travel theory @lime cape is that the seakings specifically use the words "this time". By using these words, we are shown traveling back in time is not necessary for all of the information various people seem to have. It isn't that they are aware of exactly what happens. They are aware of what could potentially happen and there are many variables that could change the result dramatically

I pose a theory. Shanks is the Son of Imu

Shanks is the only pirate in the world who is able to have an audience with the gorosei. The Gorosei also only trust themselves a majority of the time, only trust Imu. They don't even trust Sakazuki or Borsalino completely. For a Pirate being able to just walk up to them and one of the 4 strongest pirates in the world and them not at all being hostile, something has to be up. Shanks also knows what the Nika fruit is which is really strange when no Yonko knew what it was. The Gorosei made sure to wipe that fruit from history so why does Shanks know of it's existence. Also, Shanks joined the Roger Pirates right after god valley due to Roger saying he had Shanks since he was a baby. What's weird about that is God Valley is where the Celestial Dragons called home so Imu was probably there as well, They probably purposefully set it up how they have a reason to call Shanks a Yonko and Shanks learned some insane Haki. I know Haki is a manifestation of ones on willpower but he would have needed to learn it as well.

In this crew there is 2 confirmed or partially confirmed members. Toki and Zunesha, it was confirmed that Toki came from the void century and she was told to go to Wanokuni and the person who sent her there was probably or more than likely Joyboy, Toki had a mission to get people to be there to save the world and Joyboy had such strong future sight he told her to go 800 years into the future and soon after she completed the trip the Roger Pirates arrived to that island with Kozuki Oden. Toki said she always dreamed of going to Wano and so throughout their journey Toki was dropped off at Wano before they reached Laugh Tale and there she raised one of the key players in the final arc Kozuki Momonosuke. I think this is a continually forced take and I personally disagree with the idea that Oda will kill off any of the Straw Hats; people like Shanks/Yasopp/the Giants who are all still generally considered great warriors of the sea are also all still alive today, and I think one of Usopp's biggest character traits is his storytelling which shouldn't be left completely unexplored after the adventure is over. One Piece has never enforced the idea that somebody has to die for them to leave an impact on the world.

He warned Whitebeard, then the Gorosei and Imu about Blackbeard and only Imu has had some fascination with Blackbeard but other than that no one is paying the warnings any mind and a common thing to happen is when an antagonist injured someone they are most likely on the chopping block for the main antagonist.

Blackbeard is the main antagonist and also this will be devastating for Luffy but I think Garp will die as well he is an old man now and Blackbeard needs a good power up to fight Shanks and Luffy in the endgame

And I don’t think Blackbeard will ever learn Haki because his devil fruits already does what Haki does

I have a theory that the D of the D clan stands for Dawn like how the very first chapter of One Piece is called 'Romance Dawn'. The D Clan are the natural enemies of the gods and they all might attack Mariejois in a similar way the scabbards did on Onigashima the 9 Scabbards could foreshadow the final war of One Piece. Why Cross Guild will invade Wano in the final saga

Ever since we found out about Pluton being in Wano, it's been pretty clear that SOMEONE, likely Caribou's "certain someone", will invade Wano to try and secure the ancient weapon for themselves.

Of course the natutal suspect is Blackbeard, since he's an opportunist. Shanks even said in 1079 that he was expecting Blackbeard at Wano (which is probably why he was there to stop Ryokugyu). But what if it's not Blackbeard, but rather the new Emperor force, Cross Guild?

Crocodile has been keen to gain Pluton in the past, and as the main brains within Cross Guild he likely has many spies and ways of gathering intelligence, one of which possibly being Caribou. Hell, Caribou's interior monologue about telling his certain someone about Pluton was in the same chapter we learned about Cross Guild.

Crocodile wanting the weapon is already a solid motive, but there's also another potential factor- Kozuki Sukiyaki.

As of now, both Blackbeard and Luffy have their methods of reading Poneglyphs. The Cross Guild would naturally want one assuming they are interested in finding the One Piece, and Buggy, having been on the Roger Pirates, would know about the Kozuki Clan's ability to read the ancient language, which he may let slip after a bit of roughhousing from Crocodile and Mihawk, who would naturally know he was on Rogers crew. While Momonosuke may not know how to read the Pongelyphs yet, Sukiyaki certainly would, as he would have been the one to teach Oden.

Wano also left us with many unresolved plot threads. When will the country be opened? Will the crew come back for Yamato so she can fulfill her dream? Will there ever be a cure for SMILE? Will Zoro's lineage be addressed (and will he visit Ryuma's grave)? At the end of Wano, the narration box says 'until we meet again' potentially implying a return to Wano before the end of the story. Cross Guild invading Wano, which bears Luffy's flag, would give-

The straw hats a perfect opportunity to return, and also set the stage for Zoro vs Mihawk, a fitting duel between the strongest swordsmen in the world in the land of Samurai. I believe that this is the payoff for Buggy's promotion to Emperor.

It may be too soon to go back right after Egghead, as we only just left Wano, but if the Germa cover series has shown anything, its that cover page events can tie directly into the main plot. A cover series involving Wano is likely coming soon with the end of Germa's emotionless excursion, and this could start the plot thread of Cross Guild in Wano.

Theory on void century:
If the world government is suposed to be the ones who kicked off the lunarians off the grand line wouldn’t their wills pass down to their descendants and cause the world government to be stronger?
The fish man civil rights robot that went to attack mariejois was going to where the lunarians would have been to attack them would. The robot carry’s a humongous weapon and obviously is a battle robot .These robots are autopilot so they were made and commanded to attack the grand line. Think about why it was carrying a spear, it could have been carrying anything, it was carrying a spear to pierce the lunarians fire defence l.
The lunarians an overpowers race would have demolished the world government back in their prime rather than being kicked off. Luffy a yonko is struggling against the lunarians fire powers, so how is the 20 kingdoms just going to demolish the lunarians.
They were either on the robots side or the robots were on their side I haven’t decided yet. But one things for certain that the robots and the celestial dragons were working together to take over the grand line and Maby do other things within the world.
Think about why devil fruits were made I mean really think about it. A devil fruit turns a human into a weapon or benefactor for war no matter how you put it. Personally I'll be surprised if this doesn't happen. It'd be a huge motivation factor in the oncoming war for both luffy and koby. If a pirate kills him it could even be the catalyst for a koby vs luffy fight

I have a theory for the reason God Valley disappeared and it’s that now that we know there’s an island island fruit (Avalo Pizarro’s fruit) im guessing that since the island is a person it will disappear with the person so with that said, the reason the island disappeared was because the user of the island island fruit making up god valley died and that’s why it’s gone from all maps in the one piece world.

My theory is that there was a cataclysm that happened, someone from the D clan made a research that ruined the world and plunged it into a post apocalyptic world. The research was probably some kind of fusion reactor or infinite power device.

From the ashes that remained, two group appeared, the D. Clan, and those who would gather to became the world government.

The D. Clan wanted to avoid to repeat this catastrophic event and hid this engine and the work around it, but used its power to defend it from the WG, who hunted down every member of the D clan to find this device and use it to assert domination. We enter in the " void century " , 800 years ago.

this could explain why Rayleigh said that the truth "is maybe not what you think it is ". D clan did stuff that ruined the world , so in a sense they weren't that good, but tried to prevent the world going further into madness by avoiding other to repeat their mistakes

I can't really say that I'm basing myself on something solid. I would say it's more because of my interpretation of Gear 5 that Luffy mentioned when he said that "He felt totally free". If he wants to be totally free, I can imagine that he shouldn't carry any negative emotions with him either.

Regarding whether or not Luffy has hatred towards Akainu or Blackbeard, I certainly don't have solid evidence to prove it. The best I can contribute are Luffy's expressions when their names were mentioned to him.

When Jimbe tells Luffy about Akainu's victory over Aokiji, Luffy touches the wound on his chest and seems to express anger as he remembers what happened in Marienford.

Something similar happens when he meets Burgues in the coliseum and he makes him talk to Blackbeard through a Den Den Mushi. Luffy's expression was not cheerful, but rather dark.

Elemental Haki Theory

If you eat a logia you become an element, if you eat a paramecia you can control things, but how do you control natural elements, Elemental Haki! The lunarian species for example could ignite fire and it's unknown if it's genetic, technique or both. We do know that through skill a fisherman can learn to control water, but why do I think that these are not connected to the two races?

Luffy and Sanji are both anomalies in this discussion so they will not be mention, sanji because of scientific development and luffy because of his devil fruit, both able to ignite flames. Some think that dragon has a devil fruit able to control weather but I think that is not the case, I think dragon is able to control the wind though elemental haki, to explain the rain it's simple him moving gas to form coulds above loguetown. But dragon is not the only person who can do this, when roger fought shiki and his fleet a sudden storm caused roger to win the fight, definitely not natural since shiki had like 50 ships and roger only one, roger was also confirmed by kaido to be a haki master perhaps he refereed to more than the 3 known haki we know of. But roger and dragon were acting in different eras so a devil fruit still isn't out of the question yet, but that is when sabo comes in. Sabo as we all know was though by dragon and one move stuck out to me. SWORD - What is it really?

In chapter 1080 we are given an explanation that SWORD is a subgroup of Marines that have given their resignation. They no longer get paid and can be "fired" at any point, but they do not need to follow standard Marine protocol such as needing authorization to attack an Emperor of the Sea.

Originally, we were introduced to SWORD via the communication between Koby and X Drake in chapter 956. Both are confirmed members, and so we now know they are both essentially ex-marines. The only difference is that X-Drake is acting as a pirate.

My theory is that SWORD is an organization created either by Kong to keep Garp around to train the new recruits, or created by Garp/Sengoku/Tsuru and they've used it to train their own force of new recruits with their better ideals behind it. In chapter 954, Kong has a meeting with Sengoku. Sengoku says that Garp has essentially resigned. Kong says that he retains his rank and that he cannot allow him to leave the service just yet and that he is needed to train the new young officers of the next generation. Sengoku himself is tied into this during the conversation as well.

It is notable that Tsuru's granddaughter Kujaku, Garp's "protege" Koby, and X Drake whom Sengoku had taken care of while he grew up similar to Rosinante, are all confirmed members of SWORD. Those three are all likely the sort of "good Marines" that Vegapunk had mentioned and are from the same generation. They could all be working together on this to some extent.

Spicy part of my theory: Many people believed that because X Drake was secretly still working with the Marines that all of SWORD operates in the same way, when in fact SWORD members can both be current and "fired" Marines. It was said that the SWORD members can be cut loose at any point by the Marines, but that does not mean that they cannot still act as SWORD members while being ex-marines. It's like the trope of a police officer being taken off the case but then going behind the back of the police and working on it anyways. Except in this case, SWORD as an organization is aware even if the Marines as a whole are not. This is why Koby was being secretive about working with X Drake.

I think just like Enel, Imu gathered up 200 'dials' (devil fruits) as his island was where these ones were produced, defeated a 'Sky Knight' (a Joy Boy) and deleted his home island entirely before absconding to Marie Joi and forcefully taking the throne in a quiet coup. using the kingdoms already established no tolerance rule on certain parts of history to delete anyone who speaks of the facade and no one is the wiser.

I think Imus home was God Valley. I think God Valley was abundant in devil fruits if not the source, and I think his faction is of the Kingdom that ruled before the void century, where the royalty were turned to slaves, and sadistic pleasure was taken in abusing them.

Heres my real theory:

Kuma is the Royalty of that Kingdom, And that memory of him as a child in a grassy land probably holds the memory of the day Kuma and Imu escaped captivity, stole their fruits, and deleted God Valley. For both of these things, Kuma feels terminally guilty.

I think Imu could be one of those creatures from the Florian Triangle. The creatures are based off of Yokai called "Umibozu" which are giant black humanoid creatures which drown and destroy ships in the ocean. We all know that Imu backwards is Umi which means "Sea" or "Ocean". A Umibozu means "Sea Priest" which is what Umi kinda means. And a Umibozu can be either big or small which explains why Imu could be smaller than other ones

I have a feeling Sabo and Shanks will die in the future. Pre-time skip and Post-time skip arcs have parallels with each other like Fishman Island the enemies are Fishmen like in Arlong Park, Alabasta and Dressrosa have princesses and main villains in both arcs are warlords and so on. Maybe there will be an arc in the future similar to Marineford in which both Sabo and Shanks will die which will make Luffy feel traumatized again.

sabo dying will be bad storytelling. He was left for dead once, then left for dead again twice, before dying for real after ? no way. If someone has to die it's Dragon, and Sabo will take his place

And ignoring the repeated fakeout deaths Oda is known for, it directly goes against the themes of the story as a whole. One Piece is a story about inherited will, and Sabo is meant to have to carry on Ace's legacy and flames and do what he wasn't able to do. Meanwhile, Sabo also represents potential for a direct display of character development for Luffy; this time, we can see Luffy save his brother after everything he's been through, instead of failing again.

I also don't see One Piece as a story that does things to have edgy parallels for the sake of being edgy. We've had Luffy deal with Ace/Whitebeard dying in Marineford, yes, but I don't feel that Shanks or Sabo dying would contribute at all to the narrative. We already had him at his lowest lows and spend two years straight focusing on improving himself instead of continuing straight forward towards his dreams.

This time, again, it would make more narrative sense for Luffy to be able to have the power to make the change he wants to. Imagine how unsatisfying it would be spending 1600 chapters just to see the main character fall to the same fate he couldn't overcome again...

Brief Theory:
Garp is going to die to Blackbeard.
Point 1: Impact Oda said that the Final War will be a "free for all" between the powers. But at the moment, what keeps peace in the world? The Hero of the Marines. This is the exact reason he didn't interfere in the Summit War as his turning on the World Government would have caused more death and chaos. So with a major supporting pillar of the world dead, that gives way for the current world order to be steamrolled.
Point 2: Motivation Luffy has no real motivation to fight Blackbeard at the moment aside from conflicting ideals. Everyone expects Luffy to fight Sakazuki because he killed Ace. So if Blackbeard kills Garp, Luffy has the drive to go to war with the Blackbeard Pirates.
Point 3: Strength Garp is by no means a push-over, he still is one of the strongest people in One Piece, but Blackbeard is simply stronger. Garp isn't in his prime anymore, and it's going to catch up to him one way or another. A decent point of reference would be Rayleigh as even he said that Blackbeard was too dangerous for him to fight, and given the fact that the Navy doesn't send anybody after Rayleigh simply because they can't speaks volumes for this comparison.
Point 4: Planning Blackbeard is intelligent, he sets up his machinations with precision and thought, so he knows that if he takes out Garp, that will give him the momentum he needs to further his own goals as it would rattle the government and the world.
Pont 5: Koby After Garp's death, Koby will step up to Garp's mantle, although not immediately. This would also allow for Koby to start his own journey and get his needed drive.

I quite disagree with the notion that Garp has to die for this. Blackbeard is the one who took down and kidnapped Ace, and is just as if not more responsible for Ace's execution than Sakazuki himself was. They even would've been able to get away from Sakazuki had Ace not piped up and went back to fight a fight he knew he wouldn't win. Blackbeard wasn't just "doing a job" he went out of his way to hunt him down and that's plenty enough motivation for Luffy as is.

Not sure if this is important or not... but it could be that the BB "Titanic" captains are a direct reference to the Greek and Roman "Titans" - Who were the predecessors of the "gods".
Or maybe a nice reference on how the actual "gods" of the one piece world will be defeated by a new generation of "deities".

As an introduction, i believe its interesting that the gods/titans that have been referenced in this series are:

Gaia/Gea - Imu - Mother of Earth and the Titans - Recident in the Pangea castle. Hidden ruler of the world, commands the 5 elders and has control over Uranus.

Uranus/Caelus - Represents the sky - Son and partner of Gaia, a primordial being, father of the first Titans. Was restrained by 5 of his sons who castrated him and hold him captive and took his power so they could become the pillars of the world, separating the earth from the sky.

Kronos/Saturn - Titan. Son of Uranus and Gea. Father of the first generation of gods - One of the 5 elders. Defeated by the Greek pantheon after Zeus/Jupiter cut his belly after eating his offspring, fearing they would kill him.

Poseidon - Neptune - Shirahoshi. The god of the ocean, brother of Zeus - Ancient weapon. Hidden in a country not allied with the WG.

Hades - Pluton - God of the underworld. Brother of Zeus. Ancient weapon. "Hidden" in a country not allied with the WG.

Interestingly, all the ancient beings that are in the side of the WG are also references to ancient beings; the primordials or Titans, who in the end were defeated by the gods.

Even more so, in the myth, Hades (Pluton) and Poseidon were, for a while, trapped within Saturn's/Kronos stomach, and were "liberated" by their younger brother, Zeus, who became the king of the gods after the fight with the Titans and primordials. The name of this battle is the Titanomachy and ended up with the Titans (the ones who survived), casted into Tartarus (A prison like place in the deepest part of the underworld).

So, understanding that Oda does not take direct correlation to Myths, but likes to take some reference from them what can we say/theorize about this history lesson?

1.- The Titanic captains could be in fact a reference to the Titans who were trapped in Tartarus, in the one piece world, Impel Down, that now are liberated and will take revenge on the gods that put them there.

2.- The elders are now "gods", who rule the planet, but as we've seen, they also could represent the Titans/Primordials, who are containing the the new generation.
Considering that, they could be named after the rest of the planets left in the solar system (Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn) that represent some deities... but they could be also named after the 5 Titans who killed the previous ruler of the gods, Uranus, and became "The cardinal pillars of the world", as a representation of the 4 blues + the GL.

Their names and roles were:

Krios - South pillar - Titan of the constellations and stars.

Koios - North pillar - Titan of Intelligence and Oracles

Lapetos - West pillar - Titan of weapons and mortality.

Hyperion - East pillar - The Titan of light and wisdom. Father of the Sun, the Moon and the Dawn.

Kronos/Saturn - At the center - The Titan of time, leader of the Titans. He ate the other gods, except Zeus, who ended up liberating his brothers from his belly and the defeated him during the Titanomachy.

3.- Luffy - The sun god - Came from the east pillar/Blue, Hyperion, the father of the Sun and moon. This could be relevant later.

4.- Luffy could have parallels with Zeus, liberating his brothers (Poseidon and Pluton/Hades) and start the war with the old divinities who are ruling the world. After this war he will become the king of the gods/the pirate king.

5.- A fight between Kronos/Saturn and Luffy/Zeus, could be the start of the Titanomachy. This could also mean the first blow that liberated the other gods, Poseidon and Pluton (Hades). Who are captive, waiting for the dawn.

I know basing one piece theories on real life almost never works out, but I would like to share some similarities between the one piece story and mayan folklore.

there is apparently a god called seven macaw who pretends to be the sun and moon and he has two sons, the underworld demon god and the earthquake god. Idunno sounds sort of black beard like and also sort of imu like.

mayan cultural greatness died out in the year 900, approximately 800 years before the year 1700, which is the analog of todays great pirate age.
one of the hero twins (the dudes who defeat the fake god and the main characters in mayan mythology) becomes the sun
the other one becomes the moon, I don't know how this moon twin relates to the story of one piece
the mayans had a pretty advanced civilization, the most advanced in mesoamerica ever in terms of writing and math before first contact with the europeans.
the mayan civilization died out, and we're not certain why.
the shandorans in skypeia have a resemblance to the mayans, so I don't know if oda will use on that cultural reference twice, but I thought it was interesting how some things lined up.

Here's my theory on how logia awakenings work (this may already be a current theory, but I'm not sure. There's so many theories that I can never be sure.)

Awakening are often really unique, because they just extend the current fruits power farther than it already is.

Zoan: Zoan fruits themselves physically change the user, and therefore the awakening simply gives them an even more powerful form to transform into

Paramecia: these awakenings are very unique. The fruits themselves give unique powers, and though they can physically change the user, that's not what they're known for. And so instead of giving the user some new power, it extends its current power to other sources, allowing the user to manipulate it's surroundings.

Logia: for each fruit, the awakening essentially highlights the difference in the fruit. So what's the difference in logias? Well it's an element. And with the fact that paramecias can easily be replicated (as shown in recent chapters), and Zoan can to, though not as easily, but logias have not even been attempted (iirc), goes to show that logia fruits are meant to only ever have one, and I believe it's because of the awakening.
One more note before I say what I think the awakening does; I believe logia awakening are far more rare than paramecias and zoans, but are far more powerful.
I believe that because the user becomes the element, in a sense, the awakening would have the element become them.
No I don't mean every volcano is going to have akainus face plastered on the side of it. What I mean is, they can draw power from around the world depending on how much of it there is. They would also be able to, in some way, manipulate the element globally, or the element may react differently or act differently depending on the user, but only slight changes.
They would also be able to use as much of the element as there is of it globally.

Devil fruits are known to be paths of evolution. This is why artificial devil fruits can only be made in the zoan category, as animalistic evolution is more natural and compatible genetically than the properties of logia or paramecia. In contrast to the relatively scientific approach of devil fruits, their weakness, stagnant water and mainly the sea, functions more like a curse than a biological weakness to water. As such, I believe devil fruits are either a gift to man or man made attempts at growing and evolving beyond their own humanity. However, the sea god (potentially Imu) was irked by humanity’s pursuit of evolution and thus placed a curse upon devil fruits, attempting to stagnate humanity and human society. This would explain not only the void century and the years since, but also the ancient technological advancements that far outmatch the modern day. It could also explain why, under Imu’s watch, the world has not progressed much since that time (rather than using sustainable technology, the celestial dragons use slavery to mimic automated machinery, primitive indeed). The theory of devil fruits and their evolutionary nature might also explain the exotic races in one piece (perhaps devil fruits existed in a more pure form amongst humanity before being cursed and confined to their fruit form). Such would explain minks (zoan characteristics) giants (gigantification fruit) and more. It is possible even that Sun God Nika was the opposite to the sea god/Imu, as he is associated with freedom and liberation. Devil fruits in a purer form were his gift to humanity, but when they were locked away within the fruit vessels, so was he. My belief is that the one piece is an item that was created at the same time devil fruits were bound; it has the power to reverse the curse and free the powers of devil fruits, returning these gifts to humanity free of a curse.

Theory: Kuina is now a man
I'm not the first to come up with this theory but it seems to be a theory not discussed often.

Kuina's death has always been a sore spot in the manga, since she died by falling down stairs. The strongest swordsman in the dojo(minus father) dies by falling down stairs? Really?

Pell survives a city-sized bomb explosion and Kuina dies by stairs.

I am sure Oda originally planned Kuina to be dead. But that was many ages ago when the manga first started and he now was able to reverse his decision through flashback hint

Shimotsuki Village is where the Dojo is located. The revolutionaries docked there for supplies and such during the time Sabo was shot down by a Celestial Dragon

If they got supplies and had contact with the village over a few days, it is likely Ivankov could have heard word/rumor about the dojo and Kuina

With the condition that it is kept secret and she travels with the revolutionary army? Kuina was already defeating Zoro with ease when she 'died' and was the strongest student. How else would she improve if she stayed there without anything to challenge her?

Zoro being the 2nd strongest pupil needed motivation past Kuina to become stronger as well. So her death also inspires him to become the greatest while she is off on a journey to become the strongest with her genetics changed to a man secretly.

Kuina would change her name and her appearance would naturally change due to being a man. This way until she reaches her goal and can have a final duel with Zoro for the title of strongest, he will be none the wiser.

Having Zoro finally defeat her for the first time and with no "I am a girl" excuse, he will accomplish his goal completely. He could even poke fun that she was stronger as a girl after. Maybe she has Ivankov revert her hormones back in the end so she can be herself and accepts Zoro as strongest.

Sure it is all far fetched. But I can't believe current gOda would have Dragon's ship docked near the dojo just because. I also can't believe Oda would be satisfied with what he did to Kuina with the stairs.

A Theory on how to make black blades

I think at this point in the story, Zoro is almost at the level of Mihawk. He has unlocked Conqueror's Haki. Once he learns from Luffy that he can coat his swords with Conqueror's Haki (Zoro using Conqueror's Haki against King seemed like him using it unconsciously because of Enma drawing it out from him), he seems to be done with his Haki progression. His next natural progression is him making black blades to finally reach Mihawk's level.

I believe the way to make a black blade is similar to controlling an awakened Zoan form. A swordsman will have to place the soul/will of the sword in himself. This will make it a black sword. If a swordsman can control it, he will have ringed eyes, just like Mihawk, Minks, and Luffy.

Let's look at the panels that allude to the swords being similar to Zoan wills. We know that Zoan awakenings are hard to control because of the wild nature of the Zoan animal taking over the host. Let's see what Kozaburo says about a sword.

When does Enma start acting out of control?

When zoro hears the shamseen played by hiyori. It
would be characteristic of Oden's sword to want to kill Orochi or for it react when Odens favourite song is played. Moon princess
being played signifies the presence of Orochi/Oden since its the favourtie song of both Oden/Orochi.
Similar to devil fruits I think one swordsman can only make one blackblade in his
lifetime, since the swordsman would won't be able to handle so many wills inside him.
My biggest reasoning for a swordsman making only one blackblade is the swordgod Ryuma.We know that Shimotsuki Ushimaru is a direct decentant of Ryuma. But Ushimaru uses two swords. We saw what happened when zoro became popular in his village.
Every student was trying to copy his three sword-style. It wouldn't make sense for
Ushimaru a direct decentant of Ryuma to deviate from the sword gods style, especially
considering how ringo still follows all the old customs of laying a sword to rest
with the swordsman. And still Ryuma had only one black-blade namely Shusui.Also all
the graves in ringo just have one sword on them meaning a swordsman only has that
connection with only one sword.

The only other known Black Blade is Yoru. I don't see why Mihawk wouldn't convert his kitchen knives to Black Blades, unless he can't. Also, Ryuma's eyes were never shown in the manga ever since he was introduced in Thriller Bark. Even when Hyogoro is remembering Ryuma, his eyes are blacked out. Since Ryuma's corpse was preserved in ice, his eyes/eye should have also survived. I think it is intentional because Ryuma would have had ringed eyes, and it would have made it very obvious why.

So for zoro to make a black-blade he will have to have the sword accept him and the swords "will" will flow from the sword into zoro turning the blade black and zoro getting ringed eyes. The biggest proof that something has to flow from the sword into the swordsman is revealed by gyukimaru (the fox who steals shusui) and again shusui.

In this panel, Gyukimaru says he overestimated Zoro since he wants Shusui. Gyukimaru also says Shusui was forged into a black blade by Ryuma. But why would it matter if Shusui was forged by someone else? It is because the only person who can truly wield Shusui to its full extent would have been Ryuma. Since Shusui's soul has already been transferred to Ryuma, the sword also dies with the swordsman, completing its life cycle. This would also explain why Shusui was not inherited by anyone (remember Oden's swords were passed down as an heirloom). Also, Shusui being Ryuma's sword should have meant it should have had a character, but it has no temper tantrums like Enma, probably because it's a dead sword. Even though Kawamatsu was using blades from the grave, they did not take Shusui to battle in Onigashima. This is also why Mihawk is referred to as a sword a lot of the time, because he has the will of the sword in him. This is why Zoro makes the remark that Mihawk is dead inside. S-Hawk already having ringed eyes would mean he would never be as strong as Mihawk without Yoru. S-Hawk already has the soul of a sword within him. S-Hawk also has a devil fruit (manifestation of will) which makes him more human than Mihawk.

This also explains the "Reaper" that Zoro saw after his battle with King. It is the manifestation of Enma. I think Zoro was about to be killed by Enma because Enma didn't find Zoro worthy (since Enma was with Oden who should have been much stronger). The reason Zoro survives is probably because of his Conqueror's Haki commanding the will of the sword. It is no surprise that Enma takes the form of a reaper when you remember what swords are made for and what their purpose is.

Kozaboru says named swords wait patiently for their owner. But how could that be if a sword is buried together with the swordsman? I think named swords do this by killing the owners they don't find worthy. This is why most of the great swords are said to be cursed, and their owners are found dead mysteriously (as mentioned by the swordsmith in Logue Town).

If I were to predict which sword Zoro would turn black, I think it would be his Sandai Kitetsu. Wado is Kuina's sword, and Enma is Oden's sword. I think by the end of the series, Zoro will return Wado to Kuina's grave, and Enma will be inherited by Hiyori and Zoro's child (Elden Ring reference). Sandai Kitetsu is the sword that chose Zoro. Zoro was drawn to the sword, and the sword accepted Zoro by not cutting off his arm in Logue Town. Also, there is the fact that it is the third generation of Kitetsu swords, with the connection being the number 3. This is why I believe that the sword Zoro will turn black is the Sandai Kitetsu.
It can also be wado since it is zoro's promise sword. It's the swords he draws to make all his promises

but after reading that my mind cannot agree with the concept of one sword per person since two sword style is also a common style in verse and i think it would be unfair for other non-one sword style users. I like the idea of swords accepting the user and sword's will flowing into the user but it was said that when a blade blackens it increases a grade so if a different person wields it, it is supposed to be stronger than it was before blackening but for whatever reason i want to agree that when the person who blackened it wields the sword it should get stronger than it was when others wield it. And about the one sword per grave thing, i think it is just the custom of the people of wano to bury one sword per user and a person can indeed blacken 2 or more swords if their swords accepts the user ((i actually liked the sword accepting the user concept but since you mentioned it is like zoan awakening i remebered that i read somewhere df awakenings happen when the users mind and body catches up with the devil fruit and it seemed possible with swords too)). Now onto the user's i becoming ringed it would have been cool so checked something and noticd that not just mihawk but zunesha, im and even cavendish had ringed eyes so i guess that is not possible. cavendish intially has iris-less eyes like the out of control minks when its just hakuba. But when he gains control and keeps hakuba in check his eyes become ringed. zusena/imu/minks/mihawk and lufffy in gear 5 have ringed eyes because of the presence of another will in them. I think kaido mention the bit of awakening to luffy, that would be natural awakening of paramecia. Kaido did think luffy was a paramecia. But we saw the awakened zoans in Impel down who don't have control over themselves. It's definitely possible that they both drowned. But we know Oda, and we know that he rarely kills people unless it completes their character arc. So, Kidd and Killer will for sure wash up on the Elbaf shores just like Big Mom did in Wano

I think that during the Elbaf arc, Kidd and Killer will come face to face with the prince of Elbaf (the person that Lola was supposed to marry). He will be furious at Kidd because he know how he was launching an attack on the island before Shanks got to him. At first, this prince might even try to kill Kidd right here and then. But after getting calmed down, the prince will instead say "If you promise to leave this island peacefully, we will let you live. Leave now, and never return or suffer the consequences" pointing to a nearby boat for Kidd and Killer to use. Kidd will pause for a few seconds, but then to everyone's surprise, he'll agree. Kidd approaches the boat but sees that Killer isn't following. Killer refuses to go with him.

"We lost our poneglyph scratchings. Our ship. Our entire crew. And for what?" Kidd will respond with "We'll get stronger. We'll regrow our crew and we'll get revenge on Shanks" But Killer isn't having it. I think this will be the moment that Killer will leave Kidd behind. Ofc, both will be heartbroken since they've been together for so long. But Kidd essentially ruined all their hopes of becoming pirate king and lost so many lives by attacking Shanks. So both of them will make their separate ways. Or, maybe Killer stays on Elbaf while Kidd essentially leaves the entire story. That's what I think Kidd will do in the Elbaf arc.

Remember in udon when Kidd escaped and willingly got caught to get to killer. A pirate giving up his freedom is like giving up his dreams. Kidd won't be the captain without killer to back him. For starters I think Oda said that the only super nova he had plans for was Kidd. Also there is his fruit jiki jiki no mi that seems important because of the magnetic waves of islands. I think that if killer is dead, Kidd might turn really bitter and set on a much darker path than he already is. We have seen how important killer is to Kidd. Shanks divine departure doesn't mean that Kidd is weak. Kidd doesn't know how to defend against Acoc attacks. If Killer is dead I think Kidd would do anything to get revenge.
Either Kidd has insane under utilized haki or his fruit is busted. Remember when he could assign polarity to Big Mom? Law couldn't teleport Big mom because she had stronger haki than him. Yet Kidd is able assign a polarity to Big Mom. So either his fruit can't be stopped by haki (like barrier barrier fruit) or he has stronger haki than big mom.

I am more incline to the idea that he's able to assign polarity on anyone and not because he has stronger haki than BM. How would Kid's revenge play a major role in taking down Shanks? Luffy and Kid vs Shanks or Kid fights and weakens Shanks then Luffy defeats a weakened Shanks? To me both aren't good because Luffy himself said that he would one day gather a crew that surpasses Shanks' so it's need to just be Luffy (SHP) vs Shanks (RHP) if they end up fighting.

Reasons:
He gone to asking to whiteboard about Blackbeard because he had a scar, he is probably scared because of it, and shanks was actually disappointed when he found out that white beard don't want to attack on blackbeard personally, he asked to take out ace, and take it seriously. He gone to even the mariejois because of Blackbeard, and probably requested the elders about attacking at Blackbeard.

Reason why I also mentioned jealous.

On the first island Luffy visited, Dawn Island, Luffy met Sabo, who became the 2nd in command of the Rev. Army. He is Dragon's first mate.
On the second island Luffy visited, Goat island, he met Koby, who became Garp's protégé, and will inherit Garp's will. If Bogart dies, he will likely end up being Garp's first mate.
On the third island, at Shells Town, Luffy met Zoro, who was the first person to join the crew, and is the most likely candidate for Luffys first mate.
On the first 3 islands Luffy visited, he met the 3 first mates of the Monkey Family. This seems very intentional.

coming back to this theory i had a few months ago, the literal next chapter gave it more weight lmao (ik im a bit late tho, kinda forgot about this one). So stussy and miss bakkins are actually the same person, which gives more weight as to how the original would have whitebeard clone. now, we know that whitebeard's greatest dream was to have a family, and he actually called all of his crewmates his sons. If whitebeard had an actual son in the form of weevil, i can be certain that he would want him in his life. Seeing as how whitebeard never mentioned his own son, it seems that he is unaware that weevil exists. As we all know from 6th grade health, it takes two to tango. Whitebeard would HAVE to know that there was a chance of him having a kid. What if the reason that weevil is refered to as whitebeard's son by miss bukkins is because in her mind, weevil being a separate living part of whitebeard that comes from him eftetively makes him whitebeard's "son". Now she is so confident in weevil being the offspring (in some way) of whitebeard that she says that vegapunk himself would confirm. Why exactly would vegapunk confirm? Unless there is paternity tests in this world that only VP has, he has no way to prove the lineage. but if weevil was a clone that was made by mads, vegapunk could just go "oh yeah we made that ugly fucker 35 years ago."

I believe that the pluton fits blackbeard better than any other candidate to start with it seems as though the final villains we have set up for the story are blackbeard and the world government. it would make for some fitting symmetry if heading into the end game of the final battle the world government has one ancient weapon uranus and blackbeard has another ancient weapon pluton but more importantly it fits what both evils represent if uranus the god of the sky that rules from above is fitting for the world government that rules over the world like god then pluton the god of the underworld darkness itself fits blackbeard especially considering what the weapon pluton is a weapon of mass destruction it destroys everything in its path that is thematically fitting with blackbeard and everything that he is about he is all about destruction and tearing down that is his goal to destroy everything tear it all down reduce the current age to rubble he himself has become a pure destructive force his two fruits that he brags about the darkness fruit and the guru guru fruit are purely destructive abilities as he himself explains the power to turn everything to nothing and the power to destroy whatever he wants pluton the warship that is built solely to destroy perfectly fits blackbeard himself it matches the abilities that oda has been giving him it matches his goal and vision and what he represents as a villain and even the namesake pluton invoking imagery of darkness and the underworld is perfectly in line with blackbeard's own persona so all things considered no matter how pluton is ultimately unleashed be it momonosuke or not i believe we will see the ancient weapon in blackbeard's hands by the climax of the war.

Dawg I just randomly re listened to the we are dub opening and there’s so much in the lyrics that got me thinking

First of all I think the one piece is most likely a place. I just got that feeling from really listening to rogers words. Like if you left EVERYTHING you’ve gathered in your lifetime achievements into ONE place. Then in this case. That place would be the one piece. Because it’s the place that has all of the things the world has to offer… they just have to “find” it.

Secondly, the song says that legendary place that “the end of the map reveals” (LaughTale) is only legendary until someone proves it real. Well if we go along with the idea that this is actually important, that would prove roger wouldn’t have found the one piece because that would make the one piece invaluable/ no longer a legend. So either it’s something that can be exposed with words or he never actually “found” it. The only option (in this theory) is that the one piece is something that can be passed on and isn’t tangible. Because it’s STILL legendary after 800 years. And the fact that even after being pirate king it is still legendary would prove that.

The only way that would be wrong obviously is 1. I got it from the song and 2. Agenda piece. Obviously all the theories. (The red line, luffy true goal, shanks real motives, etc.) it’s possible the one piece would conflict with this theory. But at the same time. It’s still a LEGEND. nobody knows what it is yet they go after it. Rayleigh and a few others know. Or maybe if Roger never truly obtained the treasure, just LEFT it there in that place, then Rayleigh doesn’t actually know and just wanted to test if Luffy is truly the one man with the desire to reach that island and surpass them. And to surpass is to do what could not be done before. Meaning yes the one piece is a legendary treasure that couldn’t be obtained by anyone, not even roger. While they made sense of the poneglyphs, they didn’t get the one piece. They only obtained the information. Which goes to explain the military, they fear the INFORMATION that could reach the world yet never proves if they even know what the one piece could be. Because according to clover, the ancient kingdom decided to scribe a secret message onto that text in fear that they may be defeated by an “enemy” that grew to become the world government. This means the government does NOT know what the one piece is and only the ancient kingdom citizens or transcribers knew. Maybe not even them. Maybe ONE person knew and that is what they are waiting for. They are waiting for one man to rise up. This just led me to another thought. A hint from ODA. Holy shit. the moon. Reverse Crescent moon is a secret code that will be understood when the time is right in order to make an uprising against their enemy. What if, the D is a code that is meant for an uprising against the celestial one day? The D will stand together to defeat their enemy? the question now becomes how does this play onto the ONE PIECE? Does the one piece come into play FOR the final war to occur?

That’s a good thought but back to the discussion. I think some key info is actually missing when they address the fact they obtained ALL the information in the world. I believe robin would have asked Rayleigh the truth. Her goal isn’t the adventure of seeking it, she just wants to know because she believes it is her birthright and duty to take up after her mother. But I could very well be wrong about that.

For about 3 or 4 chapters, you see Shanks right after Roger was executed, you see how he copes with his captain being dead and how he forms the Red Hair Pirates. At some point, Shanks looks out into the night sky and wishes that Roger were still alive, and that he could bring him back to life. Then far away on the grand line, the yomi yomi devil fruit begins to bloom. (Dr. Vegapunk theorizes that devil fruits are created from people’s hopes and dreams)

The Rumbar pirates find the Yomi Yomi and Brook eats it. Fast forward to present day. Luffy and the Straw Hats are fighting the Blackbeard pirates. At some point Brook had awakened his fruit; Luffy is killed in a one on one fight with Blackbeard, and he takes Luffy’s fruit and turns into the Gear 5 form.

Brook uses his awakened fruit powers which allow him to bring back one person to life. Shanks’ wish for his captain to come back to life unintentionally brought Luffy back to life through Brook’s devil fruit.

With Luffy back to life, he must defeat Blackbeard without a devil fruit and only his haki.

In Norse mythology it's common for giants dead bodies to turn to stone/landmass/rock.

This takes us back to Skypiea of all places. Nola only came to being after the original "god" was killed by Noland. This is a common theme of renewal with snakes from Japanese mythology (think Orochimaru from Naruto). Apart from that though Nola's growth limit is pretty much unknown.

Now listen to this: Jormungandr (the world serpent) is an unfathomably large sea serpent who dwells in the world sea encircling the world (Midgard) and biting it's own tail forming an oroborus. Jormungandr came to be in these waters when he was thrown out of Asgard (land of the gods) and into the ocean. Jormungandr's venom was utterly poisonous. When Jormungandr stops biting his tail, Ragnarok will begin. Nola is the descendent of the Shandians snake god (Kashigami [kashi "oak" & gami "god"]). I think Kashigami is the descendent of Jormungandr, who IS the red line, forever biting his own tail.

One of Kaido's attacks is called Ragnarok. I think Ragnarok has already happened. Jormangandr has already been slain by Thor, who died afterwards from the snakes venom. The land of the gods (Mary Geoise [Mary from Christian mythology and Geoise seemingly to point to a female member of the Bourgoisie. i.e. Imu]). Interestingly, Imu lives in Pangea Castle and many people point to the land mass of Pangea being what this is about. It's Oda though, it's a pun too; for Panagia; the all-holy, a title for Mary. I think Imu is Mary, the most holy. In Norse mythology the sea represents chaos (who the gods fight) and Imu is the opposite of the sea, which is Umi in Japanese. The snake also features heavily in Christian mythology.

I think that the land of the gods wasn't originally on the red line. I think it was once a sky island, or elsewhere. I think the land of the gods IS the D kingdom; Asgard. That's the secret; the world government killed the gods. Only 1 god survived Ragnarok too; Loki. The current prince of Elbaf.

Luffy and his crew make it to Laugh Tale, and there’s a final poneglyph that tells the story of the void century and then we get a good 5 of more chapters about what happened.

We learn about an advanced civilization with a king named Joyboy that wore a straw hat. Everybody who lived in this kingdom had a big red clown nose like Buggy, which was why Roger laughed. After Joyboy dies, their people wished that he would return one day, thus Brook’s fruit was born. The power to bring a person back from the dead.

Imu was Joyboy’s jealous brother who wanted the throne. They were the original person to use the OP OP Fruit to become immortal.

Because of Buggy being a blood descendant to the original civilization, he ends up becoming a good guy near the end of the series and sitting in the empty throne after Imu is defeated. Buggy the Clown becomes Buggy the King.

Okay, now that the chapter is out. I'll post my theory on who the guy with the mark is

if it's not Saul or Gabban I think it's this character that we haven't seen. I personally do not believe it's Saul anymore because he is in hiding and protecting the last memento of Ohara, so he shouldn't be sailing around with a poneglyph just because. There's no other mystery character that we know of currently in the story. That said, people have theorize this could be Gaban or Shiki but who knows. It's most likely not shiki because of the supposed "devil fruit" he has. I just refuse to believe Oda won't elaborate on this cover story thing. Perhaps it's not this guy but I think this is the strongest option rn. He's having a drink with Crocus (a member of Roger's crew) so he is at least aquinted with him. Perhaps he's the one sailing around with the road poneglyph.

Theory on matchups in final battle:
I’m skipping the obvious matchups (BB-luffy, shiryu-zoro, doc q-chopper, van augur-usopp)

1. Jesus Burgess vs Sanji: while there isn’t really that much of a thematic match, Burgess and Shiryu have established themselves as BB’s right and left hand men- since Shiryu is obviously fighting Zoro, Sanjis likely fighting Burgess.

2. Sanjuan wolf vs Franky: Franky’s the only SH who can realistically make this a size based battle. Also, sanjuan’s nickname is “colossal battleship” so it would be poetic justice to put shipwright vs battleship

3. Lafitte vs Brook: both lightweight floaties who use cane swords

4. Catalina Devon vs Nami: Oda seems to match Nami with female opponents in fights- plus with a fruit like Catalina’s I imagine this works out because it’ll likely be a less physical fight of devil fruit powers vs weather powers

5. Avalo Pizarro vs Robin: with the recent reveal of Pizarro’s powers: spoiler: ||island-island fruit this makes sense since it’s boil down to a search and destroy mission with both fruits being relatively omnipresent. Plus, it makes sense because it’s archeologist vs island||

6. Jinbei vs Vasco shot: because water washes away alcohol, and it’ll basically be a battle of liquid vs liquid.

7. ||Aokiji vs final SH: I think the last SH is gonna fight aokiji, since he is incredibly strong, but not one of the big 3 BB pirates, and seeing as how new characters scale stronger as the story progresses it’s very likely the new SH will also be incredibly strong||

Thank you thank you. To add something else, I’ve had a theory ever since cp0 showed back up that Yamato was awakened (screenshots below). It’s also a common theory that Aokiji is awakened (permanently transforming punk hazard). If both of these are true, then two awakened ice fruits would be such a cool fight.

I've had this theory for a while now and it surrounds Blackbeard, Luffy, and Law, and I think this chapter all but confirmed it for me. So if you search up the jolly roger flag of Blackbeard from history you will see a skeleton piercing a heart with 3 circles around it. If you see the jolly roger from one piece, you see 3 skulls. The number 3 is important because that is the number of types of devil fruits: zoan, paramecia, and logia. Blackbeard has paramecia and logia right now and both are the strongest of their respective types. This leads me to believe he is aiming for the strongest zoan, which we learned is Luffy's fruit. However, you can only take a devil fruit if that user is dead, and the main character can't die. But he can. Blackbeard can kill him and Law can resurrect him in exchange for his life. This leaves Luffy with only haki to become Pirate King like Roger. In the jolly roger of Blackbeard (from history) there is a heart being pierced. This gives even more foreshadowing that Law will die this way as he represents the Heart. After this chapter, we can only wonder where Law will go? Luffy. Law is alive and we see him get away unlike Kid because he has a crucial and vital role to play left in the plot. Kid doesn't. Law will go to Luffy and be with him until he dies for him

But it seems so weird to imagine Luffy without his DF and his fighting style change so dramatically this late in the story.

With the new info we got, Saul being the "man marked by flames" is making more sense. He's currently working/under the protection of the revo army. Let's dissect the info:

1. he can create whirlpools to sink his enemies in the sea
   It can be said that one of the revo members were sent to protect Saul since Dragon was aware what Saul holds. He saw him gathering the books out from Ohara, and he knows how important and dangerous those books are. It would make sense that Dragon would offer to protect Saul and the books. About the whirlpools, it could be a revo army with a whirlpool devil fruit, or a fishman. During Arlong's arc, we saw fishmen creating whirlpools by arranging rocks on the seafloor. We already know 1 fishman in the Revolutionary army.

2. rides on a black ship
   I wanted to include the Wind Granma (see picture below) as a potential ship, but apparently it was only black in the manga, but officially it has different colors. Although, this could just mean they have a different ship.

There is a general theme in a lot of media in which the lawful evil empire that the heroes have been fighting is overthrown and replaced by a chaotic evil nihilistic force of pure power. ||Attack on Titan, Final Fantasy games, Legend of Zelda games, Fire Emblem games, etc.|| So something like Blackbeard growing into the final villain, replacing Imu, would make sense. Because Imu and the gorosei are at the end of their goal. They spend most of their time maintaining and making slight improvements and they can never really spend any time conquering anymore. They are usually moping around or staying in their rooms. A similar argument could be made for the tenryuubito. Yes, they do unspeakable crimes, but they are also unathletic, lethargic, and typically stay in Marie Geoise. If Blackbeard took their spot and became King of the World, and the 10 Titanic captains took the place of the 19 families, and if they all had the immortal surgery that the gorosei seem to have had, then the world would be in a far worse position. Compare Vasco Shot to Charloss. There is no difference morally, but Vasco Shot would be far worse of a problem to have wandering around the world than Charloss. He would be a lot more hands on. There would be no information delay where a guy tells an admiral and the admiral is dispatched to that location. You would just be flambeed or worse. The other potential thing with the "Blackbeard ascension" scenario is that if Blackbeard were to take over Imu's spot, there would be an announcement to the world nobles that they were now all slaves. Charloss would object, and Shiryuu would then slice either his head or his hand off. And then the tenryuubito would be aware of their new positions.

A deep dive on awakenings

I was just thinking about yamato in this channel earlier, and I realized something else. Yamato and luffy (mythical zoans) have white clouds, while lucci and kaku (normal zoans) have black clouds. It honestly makes so much sense for Yamato to have been awakened, as he was fighting kaido all the time to protect wano. Now kaido seems to know a lot about devil fruits, so I hold his words about them in high regard. Kaido says that “your mind and body catch up to your powers”, meaning that you need to be physically strong and have the right mindset. The mindset in question is about the mindset of whoever wished for that fruit in the first place. I went on a deep dive of how awakening works, who has awakened, how, who probably already awoke, and people who DIDN'T awaken. I try to keep my logic consistent throughout, so I hope you all like this!

Now, let's go over why some people have been awakened and why some other's haven't. Doffy is the simplest to pin down. He's a manipulator, and strings are usually the symbol of a master manipulator. He can also use those strings to move someone's body. He also is stated to want to take over the world, and in the panel below he is explaining to law how law was to be used as a puppet. Kata doesn't make much sense at first, cuz why would anyone want to be a food? The only thing I can think of is seeing a starving family member, and kata is a notorious familyman that will do anything for them, especially his favorite sister Brûlée. The only reason he got strong was to protect Brûlée after she was injured, showing his commitment to his family.

Law trained from a young age to be a doctor, wanting to save people. He had lots of trauma from doffy and the white lead disease wiping out his family, becoming a cruel shell of his former caring past. But once doffy was defeated, he also had a talk with sengoku. Sengoku reminded law that just living and remembering corazon was the best way to honor his memory, reinspiring law about love. he started to chill out more and have more fun with the straw hats/kidd, as shown in the fight on the rooftop. It may sound cliche, but the main reason someone would want a powerful surgeon power that can save lifes is if the user values life and all the love and joy that can come from it. with his amount of power he awakened rather quickly. Kidd is shown to be working with metal as a kid (haha very funny what a joke kidd a kid), building toys from scrap. He most likely always had the mindset to awaken, but he reached the strength needed at a similar time to law after dressrosa.

Luffy had the mindset to awaken for a while (wanting to be free), but with his fruit being a mythical zoan that's also a godfruit, the strength needed must have been higher (when luffy awakened his df, he was already much stronger than everyone else shown). How much higher (woah wb reference) is unknown, and maybe luffy having a god fruit makes other requirements. Something else to mention for luffy is that while the goal we know he has is being pirate king, he also has another unknown goal. While I doubt this is the goal itself, he seems to want to make a world where good people don't have to suffer, by saying he wants a world where his friends (he is friends with anyone that isnt a blatantly "bad guy") can eat as much as they want. Joyboy is said to be a liberator, so luffy wanting a world where good people don't suffer lines up with that as well.

Lucci already had the mindset of a cheta (cold, ruthless killer) even before he got his df, it's just the strength that helped him awaken. Now my personal favorite to talk about is kaku, as the mindset for the awakening is by far the funniest. When he first ate the fruit, he was bummed out by the fact it was a giraffe. However, he started coping to zoro almost instantly about how much he "loves giraffes". Over the years, kaku might have actually gaslit himself into loving giraffes. In all honesty, the only person that would want to be a giraffe is someone that LOVES giraffes.

Now, a big question you're probably all asking is "Jupiter, what about the jailer guards? They're awakened, but they're all mindless beasts". Well the way I see it, they are forced awakenings. What this means is that they have a new form due to awakening, but it's different to the awakenings of kaku and lucci. The closest thing we have seen to these awakenings is monster point. While some people think that monster point is chopper's awakening, I think it's a forced awakening as well. My proof? look at a normal human (like the guy below). now look at moster point. now realize monster point isn't a fucking human. the awaking of the hito-hito would be expected to look like a prime human (like the rock below). instead, it looks like an actual monster. Plus, it literally is forced by taking a rumble ball and when first introduced, chopper is a mindless beast similar to the jailer guards.

Let's go over who might already be awakened. First up is the character that made me want to talk about this, yamato! Now I already talked about how yamato has white clouds like luffy, but there are many other things that point to a potential awakening. First of all, yamato has the Inu Inu no Mi Moderu Ōkuchi no Makami, which translates to Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Large-Mouthed True God. the Large-mouth true god is the deification (the act or process of exalting to the position of a god) of the extinct Japanese gray wolf, which was a protector of humans. Yamato hates kaido so much due to his enslavement of the wano people. If yamato fought kaido to the point he gained conqueror's coating, then yamato is totally strong enough to have awakened a mythical zoan. Something that people like to point out to refute yamato being awakened is the fact that in both of her forms there are white clouds. However, it has never been stated that awakened zoans only have one form. And even if they did, yamato is a mythical zoan which is very different to typical zoans. And refuting the arguement that "luffy has an awakened zoan", luffy doesn't know he has one. He still thinks he has the gomu-gomu no mi, and it's shown that other inexperienced mythical zoans aren't always able to control their transformations at first (momo (also that line from luffy aged horribly lmao(or really well depending on how you look at it)))

The admirals might also be awakened. Speculation about logia awakenings is that they might be able to permanently change the enviroment. Akainu is always angry and stops at nothing to destroy what is in his way, just like magma. Aokiji is a very chill (haha funny joke me) person. While I am reaching on this one, aokiji doesn't really kill people (saul was frozen in a way that would most likely let him thaw out), and freezing people seems like the type of power a powerful pacifist would have. If I'm being honest for this next part, I don't really know how kizaru, fujitora, and Ryokugyu would have awakened. If you have any ideas, let me know! But enies lobby seems to be in a state of constant light, leading to the idea that maybe kizaru or someone who had the fruit before him used the awakening here. Fujitora is a bit of a wildcard here (gravity is such a broad power), but Ryokugyu may have awakened based on the fact that he is passively growing vegation in wano just by walking. And obviously if akainu and aokiji are both awakened, it makes sense how punk hazard is like this.

A quick shoutout to the WOAT (worst of all time) blackbeard. He has the logia fruit yami-yami no mi, which is unique in that it doesn't allow intangibility. However, it does have some unique powers. it can suck people in and cancle devilfruit powers. It can for some reason also make him feel more pain???? While an awakening for the yami-yami would have unpredictable powers due to the nature of it as a fruit, we can reasonable speculate how it will/did awaken. Only a truely twisted individual would want to seep the world in darkness, and seeing as how blackbeard is a villain, that's a very clear goal for him lol.

Now it's time for a list of people that weren't awakened and why. kaido had the Uo Uo no Mi Moderu "Seiryū". Translated, that's the Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon. Kaido was no doubt strong enough to awaken, but the one key differnce was kaido's mind. The azure dragon is a guardian deity of japan, and kaido literally enslaved almost everyone in wano, which is based off of japan. Big mom also didn't awaken, and also had to do with her mindset. While big mom was definitly evil, she wasn't evil in the way I see the fruit used. If someone was scared of her, their soul would be taken. However, she also wanted to be loved by some people and respected by others. The way I see it, to awaken her fruit you would need to be pure evil with no love in your heart at all. Next, all the dinosaur fruits. I would say about 9/10 people that want to be a dinosaur are little kids. To awaken that power, as ironic as it seems, i feel like you would need to have the joyous wonder of a little kid or at least love dinosaurs as much as kaku loves giraffes. Finally, whitebeard. Now this is a special case in that I think this power SHOULDN'T awake. You see, the entire purpose of the gura-gura no mi is to destroy pretty much everything. An old whitebeard was able to shake marineford at its roots. To awaken this power, I believe the user must want to genuinely destroy the entire world. And just having this DF alone would give you enough power to awaken. I imagine an awakened gura gura could literally destroy the entire world. The only way I could see this awakening is if the fight between luffy and BB took place on the moon, and BB tried to destroy the entire thing (which would actually be pretty badass now that I think about it).

SHORT SECTION ON TIME TIME FRUIT
So as we all know, Toki is the last known user of the time time no mi. And the fruit should have respawned into the world again. Some think this is a major issue, or we might get something more from the fruit.

However, I'm just here to note that this is a self-solving problem. Say someone does indeed find the fruit. There's 2 options, either they use it, or not.** If they don't use it, there's no change, **they are just as irrelevant as before (except they can't swim)

If they do in fact use it, they simply moved themselves into the future where they have no effect or importance to what's going on right now.

In fact, the user of the time time fruit has no effect on what's going on in the world for one important reason, they can only go forward

With most time abilities in fiction, what makes them powerful is the power of hindsight. By knowing how future events should play out, they can change it in their favor. Basically the same principle as how future sight works but much more powerful

Toki doesn't have this

Sometimes, the power is to stop time, or control the flow of time, queue the jojo references, a fundamental control of the world. By being able to turn the hands of time as they wish, they can make events unfold in the order and mannner they want.

Toki also doesn't have this.

Basically there is no reason to think of this fruit as particularly important, it's about as useful as the jacket fruit in the grand scheme of things. it takes you from being a fly on the wall, to a fly on the wall in another time zone.

• a while back (punk hazard) he said to smoker "I'm just me", and I think he is still him and hasn't changed much, maybe gotten bitter cause of navy's direction and that akainu got the position even tho both garp and sengoku vouched for kuzan
• he said to Garp "it'd be a bad look if coby escapes while teach is away", which could be interpreted as "it'd be a bad look for me if I allowed coby to escape without getting involved", I think he's saying he needs to act as if he's trying to prevent coby from escaping, he's asking Garp to give him a solid beating so that when Blackbeard comes back he won't hold a grudge or suspect or even try to kill Kuzan for letting coby escape because he did indeed try to stop it from happening, it's like when Garp had to pretend to stop Luffy from saving Ace to not be accused of betraying the navy and was really asking Luffy to give him a beating just to save him from the difficult situation he's in

It has to be dragon, I think the "marked by flames" thing is actually about Dragon's tattoo. Only it is not a tattoo, but a brand. This also follows with the whirlpool. They are caused by wind, and Dragon has been show to use some sort of Wind powers before. It would also make sense for such a close friend of Clover, and as the leader/ founder of the revs to have a poneglyph.

While the getting the story started part is true, how exactly did being on alvida’s ship help luffy? Yeah koby was on it, but the only think he’s done to help luffy since then try to stop the war at marineford. In all honesty the story would remain basically the same if luffy was never on that ship, as luffy already wanted to recruit zoro, and the man marked by flames had no way of knowing koby would interfere at marineford. Long story short, the whirlpool had no effect on basically anything

My guess is that its either exactly how Lafitte predicted it in Kuzans flashback, and the WG is holding one of the road poneglyphs with some new character who has a broken devil fruit power. Otherwise it has to be Dragon who uses his (Wind-Wind fruit) tbc. to create the whirlpools. Another possibility is that Dragon does not have the wind fruit, and this new character is actually the one with wind powers.

Also I think what the mythical zoan is referencing is way back in Nolan's flashback, we learn that there are 4 god's, the god of wind, god of sun, god of rain, god of earth from the tribespeople, seeing how Luffy (sun god) has turned out to be a mythical zoan, it would kinda make sense for there to be a "wind god" who's fruit when awakened turns the user into the god of wind

i think that blackbeard's fruit the yami yami no mi is the fruit of the rain god similar to how luffy's fruit is the fruit of the sun god, and this could tie in with the blackbeard octopus theory because the rain god fruit could be personified as a kraken. i think that the yami yami no mi is like luffy's fruit where its not actually a logia devil fruit but a mythical zoan and the powers we see blackbeard using is just the power of that fruit, every other logia user are able to turn parts of their bodys into their element except blackbeard. and also with zoan devil fruits having a will of their own, blackbeard once told ace that "the power chose me" while he was fighting him showing him the powers of the yami yami no mi. i dont see the yami yami no mi as normal darkness like a black hole. i see it as deep sea darkness which would be how its able to cancel out devil fruit powers. and also the move "kurouzu" translates to "darkness water" which is the one thats able to cancel out people's devil fruits. It's also said in fishman island that gravity exists underwater and its pretty similar to the way the yami yami no mi is able to suck people into the ground with the black hole move. and rain could be the opposite of the sun since the rain clouds block out the sun making it appear dark.

Another theory I like is that Shiki is the man marked by flames. If we entertain the idea of chapter 0 being cannon then we can see Hatchi being referred to as Shiki on the last couple panels by Reighly. If Shiki is the marked man then i believe he has taken the rest of rogers crew which we have hardly seen any of and a couple other big time pirates who we have only ever heard tales of and is somewhere in the one piece world plotting.

I think, Kuzan still acting as a spy from marines, few evidence from the latest chapter suggest,

1. Kuzan' encounter with BB pirates
2. Kuzan shown off his broken leg as a proof to BB, and told them that it was the consequence of battle with Akainu, which further his acceptance among the crew.
3. Kuzan denying Garp's proposal to go back. As already it is established that Kuzan being garp's protege is not a weakling who have change of heart just like that, i assume it could be a planned strategy from WG

The first two points don't really have any relevance. If he were to join BB legitimately he'd still have to meet them and talk about his leg at some point.
He isn't weak in his convictions just like you said which is exactly how BB got him to join his crew. In order to be free and follow his own desire. Whether that may be taking down Celestial Dragons or reforming the Navy we don't know yet but joining BB to be free instead of his friend is the best way to achieve it.

I think what is interesting is the explanation for why more than one devil fruits kills the user. I’m paraphrasing but it was something like the devils inside fight and destroy the body. Blackbeard has a weird body and never sleeps apparently. What would be interesting is if the devils are always asleep within his body due to it never getting rest, which would explain why the devils haven’t fought inside of him. I’m pretty sure there isn’t even devils or anything to begin with based on Vegapunks explanation here recently, just a thought tho

I've been thinking it over and can't help but think Gaban is probably the most likely candidate with everything we've seen. We've seen Roger's crew get placed at strategic areas along the Grand Line. Crocus helped with initial entry into the Grand Line and Rayleigh helped ships get the coating to enter the New World. It makes sense that to access Lodestar, there'd be another major member of the Roger Pirates in charge of safe guarding the final Poneglyph. Scopper is the last major member we haven't seen. He doesn't need to be on directly on the island to control access to and from there.

This is just my personal theory and I know I am almost certain its wrong but I haven't seen anyone propose this theory. I believe the One Piece is a Mythical Zoan fruit with the power of a sea god. A Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Sea God if you will. Based on all the other theories that I've read and what we know, here is what makes me think this.

I'm going to ramble here for a minute but stay with me. Dr. Vegapunk theorized that Devil Fruits are manifestations of peoples dreams and hopes with the fruits having the ability to grant them these superpowers. I think that Devil Fruits were first known as "Dream Fruits" and that the Great Kingdom knew how to grow these fruits.

When the Void Century occurred and the history of the Great Kingdom was wiped away. I believe the knowledge of how to cultivate these Dream Fruits was considered such a threat from the other kingdoms that they waged an immense war to rid the world of this knowledge. I believe JoyBoy was a citizen of the great kingdom and he possessed knowledge of how to cultivate these Dream Fruits. When the Void Century is over, the World Government is created.

I think that when Imu was able to take power, the hierarchy was established with the Five Elders and the Celestial Dragons. I think Imu has some connection to the sea and that she is a woman. Especially since Imu spelled backwards is Umi. If this is true, one of the greatest things that an entity like her would fear would be someone with the power to control the Sea. (1 of 3)

When Roger and his crew made their way to Laugh Tale, he made several statements. That he wished he could have lived in JoyBoy's time, that he left them a tale full of laughs, and that they arrived to early to Laugh Tale. I think that Joyboy knew how to cultivate the Dream Fruits and that he was cultivating or through his will dreaming the Mythical Zoan fruit that could control the seas. The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Sea God. Roger found this fruit on Laugh Tale and it was still growing or required the person who could complete the will of JoyBoy and cultivate it.

I believe that the Clan of D. are the ones who knew the secrets of cultivating these fruits and that those who carry the "D." in their name are the descendants of these cultivators from the Great Kingdom. Not only that, but I also believe that those with the D. name are capable of having more than one soul which would sort of explain how Blackbeard was able to use more than one Devil Fruit. Imu despised those who could grow these Dream Fruits so she called them Devils. Her curse to those who ate the Dream Fruits was to claim them in the sea like the devils she thought they were. The Five Elders know them to be Devils as well. The one Dream Fruit that stands above this curse? The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Sea God.

JoyBoy promised Poseidon to help bring Noah to the surface where the Fishmen and Mermaids would live alongside humans. Why did he have to break this promise? Because the fruit he was dreaming/growing wasn't ready. His will had to continue at another point in history. (2 of 3)

In summation, Laugh Tale is a place that contains the knowledge of how to grow Devil Fruits. Devil Fruits are actually Dream Fruits. JoyBoy's dream was to have a free world where Fishmen weren't persecuted and no one was a slave. The sea is the ultimate expression of freedom and that is the essence of this fruit and the will of Joyboy. Luffy is JoyBoy reborn. He will be the one to complete the will of JoyBoy, cultivate the Dream Fruit, defeat Blackbeard, raise the ship Noah, turn the world upside down, bring down the world government, defeat Imu and liberate the world. All he needs is the One Piece to tie it all together. The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Sea God. (3 of 3)

I think there will be more there than simply the devil fruit. Maybe JoyBoys tales of his adventures he left behind made them laugh. We only saw one reaction they had. It would be pretty weird if they showed up, saw the one piece, laughed and then just left. I think they had more reactions and the whole Roger crew laughing was just one of the reactions we saw. So that Oda wouldn’t give too much away.

1. Why would the sea god fruit stand above the others when it’s also a devil fruit?

2. I feel like a devil fruit is too obvious, but the idea of Roger being to early because it’s not fully ripened is a fun theory. And that the One Piece is a bunch of different things, but the fruit being the main thing.

3. Can you explain the multiple souls thing for D people?

4. Why would the other countries not have taken this knowledge for themselves? And if they thought the ability to grow them was too great to have, why do they let people use the fruits and not collect and destroy them? (personally I’m thinking that they’re spiritually indestructible, so they will always reincarnate into another fruit because “a man’s dream will never die,” as Blackbeard said)

Thank you! Let me try to address each question one at a time. Starting with the first.

There are a lot of moving parts to this theory but it all started when I was just curious as to why there was no Water Logia fruit. I mean, it would be immensely powerful. Would it be immune to the sea curse? Well, why not? That led me to thinking more about Luffy’s fruit and the true nature of it. If Imu truly is the mother of the sea, then a devil fruit that could control the sea would be a terrifying power that could be used against her. Not only that, but if the one who consumes this fruit was not affected by the curse then that only adds to the power of the fruit and it’s abilities. For me, that would put it right up there with the Model: Nika.

2. I thought that as well. Why would it be another devil fruit? Well, if the fruit is on par with Luffy’s Model: Nika, it really isn’t just another fruit. I like to see it as the other half of an extremely powerful coin. Maybe Luffy’s fruit is the key to finish cultivating the sea god fruit?

I imagine, that there is a final grand poneglyph that brings all this knowledge together at Laugh Tale. Roger couldn’t fulfill the will of JoyBoy at this time because he didn’t have the Model: Nika. Maybe he and his whole crew laughed because they found the greatest treasure in the world and they literally couldn’t do anything with it! He said he wanted to live in JoyBoys era. Who wouldn’t want to live in a kingdom where your literal dreams could be grown into fruits and turned into amazing powers?

3. I think most of us are familiar with the theory that BlackBeard has multiple souls within him or one of the theories that allow him to wield more than one devil fruit.

When Zunesha claimed that JoyBoy had returned when Luffy awakened his devil fruit power, I thought that maybe, Luffy has JoyBoys soul within himself?

Granted this is the part of the theory I’m most unsure of but, hey, it would be really cool if Luffy could wield two Mythical Zoans. Maybe others who see this can add to my theory.

As cultivators of the fruit, the Clan of D. seem to have really special abilities. Either from devil fruits or Haki. What’s to say that the ability to house more than one soul isn’t something they could do? I like the idea that maybe the ability to have more than one soul could be a form of Haki.

We know so little about Rocks. Could it be that the will of Rocks manifested in Blackbeard and his soul resides inside Teach? I’m just spitballing.

I think Garp being an hero may be an opposing argument to kill him actually as he may actually bargain him. Also we actually see him make a decent deal of prisoners or try recruit people as with Aokiji/Moria/Law/Bonney and make prisoners which is something the real life Blackbeard was actually known for as he rarely killed prisoners and used his cunning to incite fear

I think that if Garp will die it would probably be in a Marine environment. Not in a quest for saving Koby. That would throw a completely away the hero narrative, and even if it’s old that’s not said in a “terminally ill” way but more in a fashion of giving reason on why someone that was on par with Roger is not one hitting BB’s crew.

I‘m not so sure if there will be a narrative of Garp opposing Akainu in a serious all out fight situation and it would be weird if Akainu were again in a position of being the killer. And again, Akainu killing Garp might open up Kuzan to enrage out of revenge for who his mentor still is even if he’s playing hard. But overall giving Kuzan the power to overthrow Garp would be something too much, we don’t even know oh he will get up from the latest Garp hit. I’d rather see Kuzan losing to be honest in this scenario even if that would be a bad image to BB’s eyes. But again, Garp’s quest is not to fight BB now or to capture or kill anyone, it’s just a save and run situation so if anything he just really needs to injure Kuzan or to trap him enough for them to get to the ship again

Well, we don't know anything really about Imu. If Imu is the Mother Sea, like I think she is, then she would know that JoyBoy and the cultivators of the devil fruits could possibly grow a devil fruit that could control the sea. It would make sense that Imu and the Five Elders would go to such extraordinary lengths to get rid of the Great Kingdom and wipe this knowledge from the world. Taking the power for themselves would have been extremely risky, because if the Clan of D. are the ones who are capable of growing these fruits, then they could have used that power and fought back against the World Government.

Keep in mind, the World Gov has tried to make artificial devil fruits and they never truly succeeded in replicating a true devil fruit.

Ignoring the first point, I do see what you mean by your second point. The big question here is whether a Zoan awakening is the same as a Zoan user’s beast form. On one hand, we have plenty of examples of Zoan df users going into their beast forms. On the other hand, the best reference we have to a Zoan awakening is the Jailed Beasts in Impel Down. They are explicitly called awakened Zoans by Crocodile in chapter 544. Regardless of their mental state, this is the clearest reference to how a Zoan df’s awakening should look like. In this case, the jailed beasts are not in a form that resembles their beast form. Rather, their form is a hybrid form. For those reasons, I don’t see G5 as a “half awakened form” as you’ve asserted.

It is still very unclear if a human that ate a Hito-Hito Zoan df would have a hybrid and beast form like other Zoans. Maybe we’ll get an answer later on and see a form similar to what you are looking for. But for now, Luffy’s awakened form seems just as complete as the jailer beasts. Only difference is he still has his mental faculties.

Ive been thinking. Perhaps the reason why Blackbeard can have multiple devil fruits is because he is a combination clone of multiple people that had a devil fruit prior to their DNA/lineage factor being extracted from Mads. This could mean the reason why he can have multiple fruits is because the body is already accustomed to those specific devil fruits. We know that he sorta shares his namesake with Whitebeard who was also a Rocks Pirate. Its heavily implied that they tried to do something with Rocks pirate dna such as Weevil and Stussy. So I think maybe he needs to go after specific devil fruits like the Yami Yami(Xebec`s fruit) and Gura Gura(Whitebeards fruit).

My apologies, I was actually thinking about this more. So, I think that the other nations weren’t able to take the knowledge of how to grow these fruits because it was most likely closely guarded by the Great Kingdom. More so, I think that the Clan of D. were the cultivators who were the only ones who had this ability or knowledge to grow the fruits. When the other nations knew they wouldn’t be able to harness that knowledge, they now saw it as a threat or a power to be used against them.

The world government actually tried to replicate the knowledge by growing artificial devil fruits but it wasn’t a true replica of a devil fruit. Which is why I believe it’s possible on D. members can grow them. In order to preserve the knowledge, knowing that the Great Kingdom was probably going to be defeated, I think that the D. members took as many of the devil fruits that they were cultivating and tried to hide them. Maybe they took them to Laugh Tale which was a location hidden away from the other kingdoms in order to preserve them. Potentially these fruits were found as members of the Great Kingdom were escaping and over time they just made their way throughout the world. If that were the case, it would make sense that Imu, if she is the mother sea, would create a curse to take a devil fruit users ability to swim away from them as a way to rid the world of them. But as Blackbeard says, Peoples dreams never end. With my theory that these are dream fruits, the fruits just reincarnate and continue to make their way through the world and the world government is doing their best to reclaim them.

I like the idea of the personality of the fruit being related to someone who dreamed of the power to begin with. In general I am not a fan of the idea of fruits being born from dreams, but within that framework, I think it makes sense for the personality/will of the fruit to reflect that.

For Katakuri specifically, he loves donuts to such an extreme extent to where he essentially lives a second, secret life where he immerses himself in the pleasures of donuts. So from that perspective, I can see awakening making sense in that way.

Since Mochi can be modeled into many different shapes, you could say Katakuri serving as the 2nd in command of the BM pirates and generally being a very protective/accomodating brother to his siblings works well with the idea of mochi. Many times older siblings need to move around between being a "sibling" and being a "kind of parent". So maybe I am stretching and just trying to think of something that makes sense, but I think the flexibility of being an older sibling can be compared to mochi.

Luffy's awakening: I like your thoughts on this, and I do agree Luffy has an inherent desire to be free and allow others to be free. And the things that really grind his gears the most are times when people try to inhibit other people's freedom.

I don't remember if we have discussed Luffy's awakening, but just in case we have not, I will paste my thoughts on it here:

If the Nika fruit represents absolute freedom, rubber is the perfect encapsulation of that because it represents the highest amount of “levels of freedom”. The ability to undo deformation and return to a baseline state could be argued as the definition of freedom: the ability to withstand outside interference. If people aren't able to change you or harm you, you are entirely free.

If Luffy’s fruit allows him to give this same resilience to other people through rubber properties, it makes sense that it would be the ultimate threat to the WG. It prevents ruling by force. If you buster call an island made of rubber, those cannon balls are just bouncing right back, for example. It begs the question why LRLL is so unique and why the old man recognized Luffy when he showed up. I view Luffy’s fruit and it’s awakening as the ultimate form of defense and in turn the most direct path to freedom. Luffy’s reason given for not wanting to be a hero was the fact that it would fundamentally limit his decision making. The external societal pressures assorted with heroism inhibit decision making and you could argue make decision making less flexible. Flexibility is really the definition of freedom in many ways. Luffy's definition of freedom, and idea how to keep freedom, are highly related to flexibility and the freedom to do whatever you want.

Kaku: lmfao @ gaslighting himself into loving giraffes. I have thought about Kaku's awakening a lot, and I still am basically out of ideas as to how his personality could somehow relate to giraffes. As you point out, Lucci is easy and makes tons of sense. Born a cold blooded killer. Basically only in CP0 because they let him kill people. Makes sense. Giraffe??? I guess just loving giraffes is consistent with giraffe philosophy?? I am honestly at a loss here, and I think your explanation is the best I have heard. He really likes giraffes. That might be the best we'll ever get.

Jailers in Impel Down: I have my own crackpot theory about Chopper's fruit being some kinda mythical zoan forest god thing, but if we assume it really is just a simple hito hito, monster point being some janky awakening is interesting and makes sense. You are right to point out that Chopper's monster point does not make sense in the context of his fruit making him a human. But also all his forms are the same. He is always just some kinda humanoid version of a deer, but all other zoans are literally just animals other than Lucci. But like X drake? Just a straight up dinosaur. Same with many others. Chopper is unique in how he transforms into a fuzzy human with deer hands. I won't rant about why I don't think Chopper actually has the "base form" hito, but if we assume he does, I think your analysis is on point.

Yamato: Agreed 100%. Kaido wanted him to have the fruit because he wanted Yamato to rule over Wano. There is likely some kinda history involving this deity protecting Wano just like the Azure Dragon. Nothing more to say other than I think you are right about Yamato.

Green Bull: I am not convinced he passively makes all the plant stuff. I think he does it intentionally because it allows him to pass between all the plant stuff he is connected to. So he is incentivized to create as much plant stuff as possible. Both to manipulate it and to pass his consciousness within it. When his original body got clobbered by Momo, he was able to sprout back up by existing in another part of his plant environment/body. So I am not convinced he is awakened. But who knows.

Blackbeard: no freaking idea. But similar to Chopper, I basically say "nahhh" to what we have been told by Oda. Turns off devil fruits? Feels extra pain? has some kinda pocket dimension inside himself where he can store things like Caribou? I don't buy it. Dude ain't a logia. But if we do assume he is a logia, I agree a villain would be a great person to awaken it. But you already know I don't think BB is a villain, so I'll leave it at that

I agree Kaido was incapable of awakening because the fruit loved Wano and Kaido did great harm to Wano.

I feel like there is something extra regarding devil fruits other than the dream thing, but I do think the dream stuff might be a part of it. In Lucci's case the full zoan form would be a full leopard. Don't even remember if we've seen him in full leopard. We have to keep in mind that in Chopper's case the full-"beast" and default forms are actually reversed. If other zoans have <human form aka base form>, <human-beast hybrid form>,<full beast form> then chopper has <reindeer form aka base form>,<reindeer-beast aka human in this case aka hybrid form> and finally <full beast aka full human form>.

I saw people mention dragon but I don’t buy it since he has his own base and I don’t see the character being affiliated with the world government, that felt like a misdirection. So I was thinking what could create those tornados around the ship and I don’t buy that it’s a devil fruit but I was thinking it would require good control over the sea, and I I thought that maybe sunbell Is there with him using some sort of advanced fishman karate

Scopper seems to be the most popular theory. I’m not sure tho. I think it might be another old pirate from legend like Captain John or someone from Rock’s crew, maybe the man himself. The ominous black ship and the hazardous whirlpools seems to fit well in theme. Also, the other two benefactors: Crocus and Reyleigh were never presented like this before. They were just on their own, chillin, and hiding away from the world. I don’t think if a bunch of pirates like BB or Kidd knew about them it would fit with the pattern.
