Hey guys! I just beat Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal for the first time and wanted to try the classics so I started playing the unlocked versions in Eternal and enjoying it so far but something about the old versions makes me start to feel motion sick after a while. I did change the motion blur settings and FOV in the new games and was totally fine with them but there are no options to change settings in this version of the games in Eternal. If I were to buy the newer Doom+Doom 2 bundle separate would there be better accessibility options that can help with the motion sickness?

Ahhh okay cool! I feel like lowering that might help a lot, I had to up the FOV and turn off motion blur and everything to be able to play the new games but after that I was good. Hopefully this would help then!

You can make your weapon glide and stay still, though I'd keep it a little bit above that for slow movement of the weapon instead of none at all. Gliding entirely can make you feel sick too

hey fellas, im having a little bit of a problem launching the mod-launcher for doom eternal, it refuses to open now...
i click it, steam goes green indicating that something is being executed however the mod launcher window never pops out, it just closes on itself

i've tried launching the thing from the Doom Eternal folder, i tried giving admin perms to the application however nothing seems to fix it

which is weird because this wasn't happening before, i've managed to open the mod launcher two times successfully if i recall correctly

OMG!!!! Finnally found someone talking about the same issue I have!!! But I have never been able to get idStudio to launch ever. Clean install, shortest save path as it gets, same drive as game, verify, all assests installed, nothing installing currently. I also have the requested Ram specs required and even went out of my way to turn off any other app I could possibly find to allocate all RAM to idStudio and still nothing. Curious if you ever find a answer. Please if you happen to, hit me up with your answer. I cant find anything. bethesda support told me to go to steam. heyyy I need help installing the doom eternal preview mod in the Microsoft store

well, install xbox insider hub, joined, wait for registration to complete. And here comes the confusing part.

The tutorial on how to install it said that if I already had Doom Eternal installed, I had to restart my PC and thus install it to the PC mod preview version. I did that, and the update weighs about 80 GB, that is, how much the game weighs???

Shouldn't it weigh less? And also, in the tutorial it says that it will direct me to the store to install Doom eternal, but, it directs me to the xbox application

Please help, if anyone has a video tutorial on how to install the mod preview in the Microsoft Store I would appreciate it.

hello frens, I started to play doom eternal in Xbox at 2020 and I vinculate my Xbox account to bethesda.net.
Recently I have bought Doom Eternal in the microsoft store (pc) and I log in with the same account of bethesda.net, but my skins and cosmetics does not appear.

So my question is: can I keep my cosmetics and skins that I unlocked on Xbox on my pc with that vinculated account?

Im not 100% sure, but i know savegames wont be transferred. Nor purchases.
And since the unlocks are bound to the save file, i think ur kinda fucked?

You are correct, savegames or purchases do not transfer from Xbox to PC; only things that transfer are Slayers Club unlocks (since those are tied to your Beth.net account)

I played Doom+Doom 2, Steam version. In Sigil's E1M2 Sheol, I see fps drops in certain areas, especially when there is a cacodemon near the end. I played the same map on the PS4 version and this doesn't happen. I would like to know if it could be a problem with my PC or if it is some kind of bug in the PC version

It goes without saying that I use MSI afterburner to monitor the fps and when this happens it does not register any drop in frames but it is something that is noticeable. I hope you understand me.

Suddenly today in Doom Eternal when launching the game, its hard capped to exactly 83fps, tried to check RivaTuner and Nvidia Control Panel, and VSync is off. I reset all graphic settings in-game and also tried to delete config files, still nothing. And 83 is not even lined up with my 165hz monitor, so it has nothing to do with vsync. Also tried to change monitor. Anyone have any suggestions on what else to check?

Im' having a bit of trouble running the game, it suddenly freezes, and breaks a lot of the hud visually, the music still plays, only way out is to close from task manager but if i do that it starts lagging my task manager to death, and other instances of the task manager will not solve the issue, if i open the game again it tells me that the game is already loading and that it will open shortly wich never happens.

However, now I want to play with mods via the beta mod launcher. The issue is that when I press Play, the launch parameters apply to the doom eternal mod launcher and in the launcher when I click Play Doom Eternal with Mods the steam launch parameters dont apply anymore and im back to having terrible performance.
I need help figuring out how to add launch parameters for the "action" or whatever it is that runs doom eternal with the mods.

I am playing the game again after some time. I started off on previous save file which was a new game on the Hell on Earth level. However, upon clearing the first mission and attempting to enter the portal in the Fortress of Doom to go to Exultia, I was left with a black screen but audio kept playing. There are no mods involved, I have deleted the save file and started over, reinstalled the game twice and validated the files multiple times to no success.

Hello, I recently felt the urge to play some doom eternal mods again however whenever I use the mod launcher's version of doom ("DOOMSandBox64vk") I get much worse performance than the base version of the game to a point where it is unplayable. I can get upwards of 240 FPS on the base game but a unstable 40 FPS on the modded beta version even with the same settings. It hasn't always done this and I did get new pc parts but this problem has been happening long before then. I have tried a number of things to solve the problem but nothing has worked.

Things I have tried include:

1. Uninstalling all the files and reinstalling the game.
2. Not loading any mods and uninstalling them.
3. Disabling steam overlay.
4. I flipped the sandbox client and the base game client's names and put them into there respective spots and interestingly enough it loads up with mods and everything, but I still get the same horrible fps even though it's technically the base game client that always works.
5. Reinstalling GPU drivers.
6. Running the modded version as administrator as well as disabling fullscreen optimizations in properties.

Videos of the performance metrics can be seen via the link. The base version is running on ultra nightmare settings and the modded version is running on low settings. Judging from the videos it looks like my cores are not being utilized properly. Any help would be appreciated as all I want to do is play Doom while I wait for dark ages.

Hey everyone, i recently got a game breaking bug on doom eternal where it would load to a black screen and menu music, after much trial and error (and frustration from lack of ripping and tearing) i found that reverting Nvidia drivers to the December version fixed the issue. Hey, not in common with DOOM itself but ive got an issue. whenever I try launching Wolfenstein: The New Order all I get is a black screen and this message: Failed to create XAudio2 engine, try installing the latest DirectX.

I have accordingly installed the latest DirectX version (12) and my PC meets by far all the requirements to play the game. I've searched on forums (which aren't even from the game but from its sequel as it doesnt even have this kind of steam discussions) and what apparently worked for many people was to install a really specific DirectX which is not even available nowadays. The reason why I post this here is because I have had the exact same issue in the past with DOOM 2016, which i couldn't fix either. If you guys have any idea of how to fix this issue with DOOM 2016 maybe ill have a chance to figure out why this is happening, and hopefully fix it. Thanks

I've had issues with Vulkan in the past for 2016

If you do want to use Vulkan specifically, I've heard it has issues with anti aliasing modes, use it with tssaa or taa

I'm on Windows 11 and Doom Eternal seems to be automatically adjusting my microphone audio via auto gain control. Is there a way to disable it for Eternal, since (despite disabling it on Steam and in the Windows settings) I haven't been able to get it to stop.

guys i need help. my doom eternal keeps randomly freezing whenever i die and end up in the respawn screen. the game was running completely fine on max settings and ray tracing enabled before i installed the new graphics driver update. but now it can only run with ray tracing off and high settings plus the crashing

I’m a huge fan of DOOM — seriously, it’s one of my all-time favorite games. So when Discord recently released a DOOM-themed avatar frame, I was beyond excited to get it. I immediately went to check out the quests section to claim it.
However, I ran into a strange problem. That specific quest is locked for me. All the other quests are available, but this one isn’t. The description mentions three possible reasons why it might be inaccessible, but after double-checking, none of them apply to my situation. I’ve gone through my account settings, logged out and back in, and even reinstalled the app — nothing seems to work.
I’m starting to think it might be a bug or some odd account issue. So I wanted to ask here: has anyone else experienced this problem? And if so, how did you manage to fix it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, because I’d really love to unlock that frame.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone had seen an answer somewhere or knew the answer. I got a physical copy of the collectors edition and that came in today and its added to my account now, there was no separate code for the pre-order bonus skins.

Is that something that will be automatically tagged onto the accuont when I log into the early access? I tried making a ticket last month about this on the bethesda store but the person responding didnt understand me at all and I tend to get home just before their desk closes so answers tend to be late/basically not helpful...I just dont think they understand what I'm asking them.

I tried preloading Doom TDA through the Xbox app on my PC, but when it's supposed to be done it gave me this error code: 0x80073cf3, and when I checked the Xbox website for what it means it says that I already have another version of the game installed on my PC already. I tried launching it when it was just a 10MB placeholder file (you can do that on both Xbox consoles and the PC up) and I got no errors

To those on AMD + NVIDIA, and the game just crashes on startup right after the "please use the latest drivers" dialog. If your AMD CPU has integrated graphics, I recommend disabling that in the BIOS. That fixed a crash on startup for me.

Anyone else getting random game freezes where the audio keeps playing? No error message, the game just freezes completely and I have to force close it. Happened once for me during the intro cutscene and once during gameplay. Game runs very smoothly, until the freeze. Yeah I have the premium edition of the game, and despite updating my drivers (like it forced me too), I couldn't start up the game. It was either I'd be stuck on the loading screen before I hit the menu, or it'd crash almost instantly. No matter what it always crashes before I hit the menu

Won't work for everyone but this worked for me, if your game crashes right away when trying to start go to device manager and uninstall the integrated graphics.

With regard to the extra section in the game menu, it shows that I’m logged into an old Bethesda account I think this was created with my steam account when I played eternal.

But I no longer use that Bethesda account since that was like several years ago, and I ended up creating a new account to redeem the TDA stuff. Ofc I contacted Bethesda support to unlink my steam account from that old Bethesda account so I can link it to the new one, but I am just wondering if all the progress I’ve made in TDA so far will be lost if I end up linking my steam to a new beth account. Or maybe not and all progress is saved locally? Thanks!

So I picked up my copy of the Premium Edition of Dark Ages for PS5 from GameStop. Only one problem though, the pre-order bonus code (the Void Slayer skin) shows for an Xbox code, not a Playstation code. If I were to redeem the code on my Xbox account (which is also tied to my Bethesda account), would the Void Slayer skin show up on the PS5 or do I need to ask them about any possible code switches?

Why is their no ai upscaling on consoles. It looks so much worse than it should. The resolutions it runs at on Series X and Ps5 would be the equivalent to between 4k dlss balanced and 4k dlss equivalent.

The reason I brought up the point was because that's how Eternal worked in my experience. Because back when that came out I pre-ordered the standard on PS4 which had the Rip & Tear pack. Later on back when Stadia was a thing, I bought the Deluxe Edition on there, and not only did the Rip & Tear pack show up on the Stadia version, the Demonic Slayer and Classic Weapon SFX were accessible on my PS4 version too. Same with the Slayers Club milestone skins.

Make sure that the Bethesda account you redeemed it to is the same as the Bethesda account that you’re logged into in game. You can see that in the extras tab from the menu.
It should show up though in game right after you redeemed it.

I think I speak for all of us who are having issues with DOOM: The Dark Ages on a Linux system (in my case, a Steam Deck). I think it's only fair that, since we paid for early access, we should receive some sort of compensation. I'm not saying a refund exactly, just a skin or something from the game, I guess. Yo man I had this problem as well, how exactly did u fix it? I swear I clicked on all the display/video options and it wouldn’t let me change the resolution or aspect ratio.

I reinstalled the Nvidia driver, doing a clean install. Then I launched the game, went to video options, clicked on my monitor display (even though it was the only one). Then I got all the options.

Is there any way to disable the command console for DOOM 2016 on the PC? I hate that I have to restart a run if I so much as accidentally tap the button to open it. I searched for a way to change the keybind but I cant do that, and as far as I saw in the settings there is no way to disable it as a feature.
