Vr is limited by speed. The game cannot exceed a certain speed without massive nausea and such

So I decided to look up how many pellets are typically in a shotgun shell because I want to mod the Doom 3 shotgun to distribute the damage across more pelets (so damage falloff is more consistent) and wanted to see know how far that could go with looking/feeling like too much.
The results were that 8 pellets is most common but it can be anywhere from 6 to more than 500 depending on pellet and shell size. IIRC the total Doom 3 shotgun damage is a little over 200 so I could have 200ish pellets doing 1 damage each and that wouldn’t be too unrealistic. However I don’t think that would feel quite right so I think I’ll play with distributing it across maybe 30 pellets (the vanilla version uses 7 IIRC)
This should help make shooting a guy with the shotgun outside the sweet spot have more consistent damage falloff

I myself pair it with Weapons of Mars Destruction, for it also has ammo rebalancing. And even though the Chaingun has 120 rounds in the belt and faster firing rate, it still has the same overall DPS as the vanilla version.

There are also altfires for certain weapons, operated with a dedicated, bindable key in the options.

Chainsaw: Primary holds it forward like vanilla, alt swings it.
Fists: Left-click for left punch, right-click for right punch. Can throw hefty hooks with proper timing.
Pistol/Machinegun/Rocket Launcher: Aim down the sights. RL uses the front-sight, as we're still trying to find a way to make a functional scope out of a camera-based GUI.
Shotgun: Barrel choke, mildly tighter spread.
DBS: Primary for one barrel, alt for both.
Chaingun: Pre-spool the barrels, for instant-firing.
Plasmagun: Hold alt, then press primary to fire a spread of plasma bolts. Eats up 5 cells per use.
