From my understanding of past conversations, Discord doesn't track who deletes something, just that it was deleted. What if someone makes a post with a ping and a moderator deletes the post? That would still create a ghost ping, but should the original poster get warned?

(this is reinforced by the Mee6 action logs indicating when a post is deleted, but not who deleted it)

Suggestion for the Live Streaming Role: Can we have multiple rules to assign different live roles to people with different server roles?

In this example we want to differentiate between sponsored streamers and community members, but as it currently operates, anyone with the allowed roles will receive both Live Roles.

Suggestion: There is an inventory for where your premium can be stored.

Reason: You can have admin perms on a server, then buy premium for it, then get banned and lose the premium because you cant go to the dashboard to revoke it.

But we have experienced a very weird bug when we reach a lot of reactions (1k or more) where they disappear from people's discord client. Dming a staff member can get you what? Banned? How is that even a thing. As far as I know, dming staff will make the staff somewhat helpful I want to suggest that. The happenings on the server is not part of DMS, direct messages are private and should only be discussed privately, i don’t see the point of that being punishable. You are a staff it is an obligation for you to answer questions and their needs.

My suggestion is this one, dming staff should not be punishable. It is the staff’s choice if they will answer it or not. I really don’t see the point of that being punishable. If you want your server to be helpful then maybe don’t include that to as a ban or something.

Like in my server after we finish raids the invitees often thank the hosts. And it'd be nice to have a feature where mee6 recognizes a "thanks" or "thank you" or any variation of it along with a tag for a user, and have it automatically grant an editable amount of XP to that user. Or maybe even a separate figure that's also tracked along with rank. Like it grants 1 rep point per thank you. But doesn't effect XP. Something along those lines.

I have two suggestions and can't find if they have been suggested before.

1. Giveaway system - I think that if a decent giveaway system was built into the bot people would use it even more. Giveaways is becoming more and more a common occurrence in servers.

I'd like to suggest to include the feature to see a preview of the embeds. This would e. g. make it possible to do a quick check if the markdown is correct

make a !support command where you will get a role to post photos and after 1 minute (or 1 photo) the role get taken away. this would make a great addition to every server!
(the values of images or minutes should be editable also the command prefix, for example !photoperms or whatever)

I like this idea. It'd be useful for my own server. An editable command that users can use to create a temp channel. With the ability for admins to set which roles can use the command, a cool down timer, a default max/min time channel will be up, etc. I second this suggestion.

We can do one or the other already, I know. But it would be nice to be able to do both if needed.

I'm trying to come up with a better way for a guided setup process for when new members join our server. Right now there are a few holes in the process. And I'm trying to tighten it up.

Unless of course you guys/gals can come up with your own version of a guided setup/welcome process. Something that wouldn't neccesarily require me to setup and create multiple channels and perms and roles and reactions and this that or the other thing. Something so when a new user enters there is only one channel they can be in to start. It explains what they need to do, click something and it takes you to the next step/channel to do what you need to do, and so on until done.

Right now our server requires at least 3 steps to considered "setup" and ready to join the community. Reading our rules and agreeing to them, granting them a rules role, posting a screenshot to verify they're who they are and set them on a team, then changing their server nickname to match the info on their screenshot.

Right now most people do okay, but some seem not to be able to figure it out. Despite there only being a few channels, all numbered in order and one called "how to get setup" that explains each step and links to each channel needed.

Sorry for the book. But it's something that's been haunting me since we started. 😅

Step 1. Create a "verified" and "unverified" role
Step 2. Add them both to your reaction roles
Step 3. Untick "allow users to pick up multiple roles" and save
Step 4. Go to the message which was sent in the server and delete the reaction for the "unverified" role from the message

I see you're looking to create a verification system, here's what you need to do: Giving and Removing roles

1. You will need 2 roles called "verified" and "not verified" so when people react to the message, they become verified.
You'll need to add the "not verified" role as an auto-role for when people join the server, which you can do in the welcome plugin:

2. Go to your channel settings. :gear: > permissions >
Deny the read messages permission for the "not verified" role, for each channel so they can't see the channels.
Allow the read messages permission for the "verified" role, for each channel so they are able to see the server.

3. Create a channel called #Verification and allow the "not verified" role to read messages here in the channel permissions.

4. Go to your MEE6 dashboard https://mee6.xyz/dashboard and select your server, then the Reaction Roles plugin.
In the template provided, select the #Verification channel, and edit the reaction message to your liking.

5. Add some reactions for MEE6 to give by selecting an emoji, then click on the + to assign the roles (verified and not verified), also disable the setting "Allow members to pick up multiple roles" then click “Save”
MEE6 should have now posted your reaction message in your verification channel.

6. Finally go to the message and remove the "not verified" reaction by clicking the 3 dots on the message > reactions > click the X on the not verified reaction, to make things look clean

I appreciate the reply. Can't say as I understand the point of including the not verified reaction and then deleting the reaction from the message, and what purpose that serves.

But I already have a system like this set up. As of now, when new members come in they can only see the initial 4 setup channels needed. They cannot see the rest of the server until they've posted a screenshot and been set to a team. That allows them to SEE the other channels. But they won't be allowed to send messages in our main raid channels (for pokemon go) until they've agreed to our rules and picked up the rules role. The only step we really can't force or prevent access to the rest of the server until they've done it is the nickname change. And we often have people who come into the server without doing this. And I'm tired of having to chase them down and explain they need to do it. But I can't find a way around that one.

But, I do have an idea for how to accomplish what I'd like to do if the reaction roles had the option to do what I suggested. Both add a role AND remove a role with one click of a reaction.

Then the owner of the room could modify everything as he wants.

The admins could also create templates, i.e. they could rename the rooms as they want as "Tsune's channel 💎".

Define the limits of people, set up a "personal logs" lounge when the person's lounge is created.
