You can use the levels plugin, with it, you can see who is usually typing and whatnot, but there is only so much it shows, for example it can post a message when someone levels up, and you can keep track of a users levels in your server, other than that, it doesn't say who is active and inactive for x time

MEE6 can only use one mute role at a time, and you do not delete the old mute role. But Discord allows multiple mute roles.

First, create a new mute role from Server Settings → Roles.
Once that’s done, go into your channels and update the permissions for that role by disabling Send Messages and Speak.

Next, head over to the MEE6 Dashboard, open the Moderation section, and select the new role as the mute role. Don’t forget to save your changes.

The old mute role will remain in the server and can be used manually if needed, but MEE6 will now apply only the new one you selected.

I have more than 1 role in my server, thats not the problem. Theres just no option on the website, where the role can be changed. MEE6 creates the muterole the first time you use the mute-command. I think I cant change it, without deleting the other role.

I'm trying to figure out the difference between the Backstory AI subscription and the Characters Unlimited subscription.

I have a personalized bot in my server and I set up a backstory but in the process of testing it ran out of free uses apparently. When I was looking at the subscriptions it appears that the Character Unlimited sub is much less expensive with much more content than the backstory AI subscription.

With the character unlimited, as far as I can tell, the subscription is server wide, and allows infinite characters and infinite interactions with said characters, so I'm not sure what the point is of having the separate (and why the Backstory bot would be like 10x as expensive)

Can someone explain the difference and what the usecases are for each so that I can understand?

Likely someone in your server has had their account hacked.
If you are the server owner you might want to remove admin access from everyone else in the server. Also remove any non-admin roles from MEE6 Dashboard > Settings > Additional Bot Masters
That way no-one can access the MEE6 Dashboard until you are sure their accounts haven't been hacked.

I have a question. The Mee6 bot was already on my community server once, added by one of my moderators. This moderator is no longer part of the server, and I would now like to configure the Mee6 bot myself. However, when I try to apply Mee6 to my server, after a long loading time I receive the following notification:

I've never had any problems with MEE6 before, i've been using them for years, but this is by far the worst it's been. I've just built a server for a client, got them to pay premium subscription for all of it to not work? Looks very bad on my behalf 🤣. MEE6 says I have no servers, but that's not true...

Well, that can be caused by:
‣ You don't own any servers
‣ You don't have Administrator permissions or a MEE6 Additional Bot Master role on any server you're on
‣ You're logged on with the wrong account (the most common problem)

The third one can be fixed by following these steps:
1. Logout from Discord in your browser (not installed client or mobile app)
1.1 Open https://discord.com/channels/@me in your browser
1.2 Click on \⚙ icon (User Settings)
1.3 Scroll down, click Log Out and confirm the action

2. Logout from MEE6 website
2.1 Open https://mee6.xyz in the same browser
2.2 Click on the avatar icon in the upper right corner
2.3 Click Logout

3. Login using correct account
3.1 Open https://mee6.xyz and click Login button in the upper right corner
3.2 In the new window log in to Discord. After that, you will be redirected back to the MEE6 website
3.3 That's all! Now you're using the correct account and the MEE6 website lists servers where you can modify his settings

P.S. If you're on mobile and some elements are not visible, enable Desktop site mode or switch screen to Landscape (vertical) mode.

Is there a way to configure automation for a channel where an app does a post and not a real user?

MEE6 won't respond to its own messages or those from other bots. It only works with messages from real people.

There is no workaround.
There's very good reasons why MEE6 and other bots prevent responses to and from other bots. If this was allowed to happen it could easily be abused e.g. run in infinite loops between bots, hit Discord API limits and tie up resources that could affect the functionality of the bot for other users.

I just want a way that when I make a giveway with my custom bot

to have an automated message for those who subscribed posted like I have for the other categories.

Regarding Giveaways, MEE6's own giveaways plugin does allow you to announce to roles when a giveaway goes live. Just mention any roles in the embed and when the giveaway is posted, it pulls those roles out and puts them at the top of the message, thus pinging those roles.

Winners are also pinged at the end of the giveaway.

Well hopefully if you coded you own you can get it to ping the winners/subscribers outside of the embed. 🙂
