Role Hierarchy

The role position, and permission are crucial to enable your bot to give roles.

* Visit your server settings -> roles

1. Locate the bot's role and bring it upper than the roles you're expecting MEE6 or Custom Bot to give out.

2. Open the role settings, on the same page, and ensure it has at least Manage Roles permission. Giving Administrator sorts this and many other issues you might have.

PS. Bear in mind that if you have invited a Custom Bot the role is different from MEE6 role, unless you have given a "generic bot's role".

Hey friends, looking for ideas on which Mee6 tools to use to allow my members to nominate others for an end-of-year award privately. Last year I had them DM the mods. Thought about a Google form but would prefer to keep it on the server. Ideas welcome!

There's 2 possibilities for this that I can think of:

1. A custom command similar to the report form detailed in this article MEE6 Custom Commands Arguments
   You don't have to use Arguments with it unless you want to, but the idea of it sending to a mod-only channel would work.
2. Use the Ticketing Plugin, which is simple to set up.

Note that with 1 if someone is in the channel at the time that someone uses the custom command, they may briefly see the submission from the other person before MEE6 deletes it (and sends it to the mod-only channel).

Social alerts from different platforms take differing times. That's in part down to the platforms themselves.
Instragram can take 2-3 hours but make take up to 6 hours.
TikTok takes 30 mins to 1 hour.
YouTube takes up to 10 mins (livestreams aren't supported).

Hey @manic tendon, unfortunately, it’s not currently possible to block a ticket via a role. Tickets are restricted to one per user, and this cannot be changed. Sorry!

No worries! First of all to removed “Channel & Roles”, head over to Server Settings > Onboarding and start removing the setup process by adding and removing roles and channels. (See images)

Regarding Events, you’ll need to disable the following permissions:

1. Create Events
2. Manage Events
   Please note that Admins will still see the Events category and setup.

For the Members list, this permission is granted to anyone with a Modulative ability/permission, including:

1. Ban Members
2. Kick Members
3. Timeout Members
4. Manage Messages

I see, well you should be able to add MEE6 back via https://mee6.xyz. You can set up some, but not all, of the plugins back into their original state with the new channels. However, without the premium plan, you’ll be quite limited to what you can do, so I’m unsure if you’ll be able to get your server back into its “grandfathered state” without limitation. 🙏

We have Mee6 Premium and we have our tickets set up but only The Founders Role which is my friend and myself can see the tickets. But as our server grows we were wanting to add our admin role to the ticketing system. I log into the Dashboard and go to my ticketing system and I open the ticket panel i want to add another role to. It says 1/10 because currently only the founder role is added. and when i click add role its 'x'ed out and wont let me add any additional roles to any of my ticket panels. I googled it and it said to ensure me6 has heirarchy in the server, which it does, its directly under my role the founder role and also to make sure it has manage roles permission which it does. Do i have to allow the roles access to the mee6 dashboard in order to add their role to the ticket panel? is that why its 'x'ed out and wont let me add any more roles? because currently only the founder role has access to the mee6 dashboard

Hey @inland path, yes, it’s normal for all social alerts to come with a delay. Since it’s an API limitation, the embedded content will be sent as soon as all the data has been fetched. 🙂

It usually takes around 40 minutes or less. (time can vary)

Resetting Levels

There are two important things before wiping levels...

1. You will need any of the following permissions to reset the levels on leaderboard:

+ Ownership
+ Administrator
+ Bot master

2. Take this in consideration

- It is not possible to "accidentally delete a level/xp" as there's a confirmation button before you go ahead
- This is a permanent action and the only way of recovering the lost level/xp is unlocking premium and using /give-xp @member

But how can I delete it?

• Go to your server and type /levels
• Or, visit https://mee6.xyz/dashboard/ -> click on leaderboard -> click on see leaderboard button
• Next, hover the mouse on the member's name and click Reset XP
• Alternatively, you can reset the entire server's xp

Yes, that may be true, but as I said, it really depends on the individual “person/company” and how they want to manage their server and operations.

Additionally, MEE6 is the number one Discord bot for server owners/admins, which is why it’s widely used and “trusted” (not saying all bots aren’t safe). However, this again depends on the purchaser and what features they want or need or their “security concerns”.

If you click on it, that optional action is to claim your /work.
This just claims your paycheck without starting /work again.
IMO this is a bit pointless, most people will want to start work again, in which case just use /work with no optional action which both claims and starts the next work.

I believe MEE6 staff designed the bot for general use in a range of areas so some more sophisticated features that some users may want aren't in the feature set.

You could look at Automations, which can be used to respond to messages that, for example, contain certain key words. That might work for you, so worth checking out.

Regarding Polls, MEE6's does have some features in it that Discord polls doesn't, such as restricting who can vote in them, timing options etc. So worth playing around them some more to see how you feel they compare.

There are /give-coins and /give-xp (and the remove equivalents) that you can use.
You can also use Automations to give and remove XP and coins in various ways.

For TickTok and YouTube, what happens when you try using them?
And for the muted role, MEE6 will make sure that the muted role will have an in all the channels, as long as users have for send messages, then it will work as expected. Muted role does also allow you to customize it more on how it will behave for the user, example if you want someone to talk in a specifc channel when they are muted, then the role will be perfect for that

Having problems muting someone/they aren't muted? Check the following

Prerequisites:

• Moderator plugin is enabled
• !mute command isn't disabled
• Bot has role with Manage Roles and Manage Channels permissions
• Muted role is under the MEE6 role
• You're trying to mute someone using !mute @mention reason, otherwise it will not work

If a user got the Muted role but still can talk, it means there's an issue with your channel permissions
Go to Channel Settings -> Permissions

• If it is a public channel, it can be accessed by anyone:

• Set Send Messages for all roles except Muted
• Set Send Messages for Muted role

• If it is a private channel, it requires *special* role to access it:

• Set Send Messages View Channel for special role
• Set Send Messages View Channel for Muted role
• Set Send Messages View Channel for @​everyone role

Hey! There isn’t an exact way to “level up quicker” because MEE6 levels are designed to prevent abuse (see embed).

You have two options:

1. Buy MEE6 Pro Subscription, which grants an additional 50% XP boost to any server that has it enabled for Pro Subscribers, as well as unlocking personal rank cards.
2. Subscribe to a server Monetise subscription, which may grants an additional XP boost if the server offers server subscriptions managed by the server owner.

How I get a bot

MEE6 says I have no servers, but that's not true...

Well, that can be caused by:
‣ You don't own any servers
‣ You don't have Administrator permissions or a MEE6 Additional Bot Master role on any server you're on
‣ You're logged on with the wrong account (the most common problem)

The third one can be fixed by following these steps:
1. Logout from Discord in your browser (not installed client or mobile app)
1.1 Open https://discord.com/channels/@me in your browser
1.2 Click on \⚙ icon (User Settings)
1.3 Scroll down, click Log Out and confirm the action

2. Logout from MEE6 website
2.1 Open https://mee6.xyz in the same browser
2.2 Click on the avatar icon in the upper right corner
2.3 Click Logout

3. Login using correct account
3.1 Open https://mee6.xyz and click Login button in the upper right corner
3.2 In the new window log in to Discord. After that, you will be redirected back to the MEE6 website
3.3 That's all! Now you're using the correct account and the MEE6 website lists servers where you can modify his settings

P.S. If you're on mobile and some elements are not visible, enable Desktop site mode or switch screen to Landscape (vertical) mode.

Hello, I usually buy Blaine's Tier 2 through YouTube, but something changed, and I can no longer access the videos, etc. Now I've bought MEE Premium Tier 1, but I don't think that gives me access to the paid bots for things like Shiny Miraidon. Or does that work with MEE too? I just saw that if you access it via the desktop website instead of mobile or the app, you can also subscribe to Blaine's Premium Tier, and I think that's how it works!? Could you change my subscription, or can I access the content this way?
