Also you can add the link to your Twitter account using the URL to your profile page as an alternative way to do this.

Hey @green tusk I just saw your suggestion. I think they haven't added the ability for you to send DM's as MEE6 to server members because it would be used by a minority to carry out scams, or be used to spam people and advertise things in your server which could breach some of Discord's ToS.

Yeah thats true you do have the ability to add a welcome message. Perhaps there could be a way monitor this / add a limitation

It's possible! With the welcome message, they had to add that little footer telling you which server it comes from because that was also being used to carry out fake verification scams

There's fake MEE6 websites out there where it asks you to drag a button and it probably installs a keylogger on your computer where it watches what you type and can then obtain your login details for anything

Like with so many things in our world, a minority spoil things for the majority

Therefore, safeguarding users of the bot is really important 🙂

Getting IDs on Discord

Discord objects (user profile/server/messages) are composed by IDs.

Currently, there are two ways of getting those.

1st Method - With Developer Mode

1. From your computer
1.1 Click on your User Settings (\⚙ icon)
1.2 Click on Advanced and enable Developer Mode

2. From your mobile
2.1 Swipe to the right (to open the bottom menu)
2.2 Click on the bottom right tab (your profile)
2.3 Click on Appearance/Behavior, enable the Developer mode

Now, from your computer, all you have to do is right-click the objects and copy their id.

If you're on mobile, you just need to long press, or click on objects to grab its ids.

Using the syntax (replace the ids you just copied):

MEE6 says I have no servers, but that's not true...

Well, that can be caused by:
‣ You don't own any servers
‣ You don't have Administrator permissions or a bot master role on any server you're on
‣ You're logged on with a wrong account (the most common problem)

The third one can be fixed by following these steps:
1. Logout from Discord in your browser (not installed client or mobile app)
1.1 Open https://discord.com/channels/@me in your browser
1.2 Click on \⚙ icon (User Settings)
1.3 Scroll down, click Log Out and confirm the action

You can invite your Custom Bot back to your server at any time.

Do this and then activate it again with the new token.

I think the only thing you will have to re configure will be the bots role.

All other messages and settings should remain the same as far as I know.

So the bots role permissions will have to be reconfigured I think and also you'll need to move it's role back to the appropriate place in the roles list so it can assign any roles it may need to with reaction roles/level roles plugins etc.

I don't have such a button in my dashboard. Unless you are referring to the plugins on off switch. Typically when I need to reset my custom bots token I just:

• kick the custom bot

• invite regular mee6

• re activate it in the bot personalizer plugin with the new token

• kick regular mee6 once custom bot has joined.

But I think the process you are describing will work the same way. I just haven't done it.

MEE6 says I have no servers, but that's not true...

Well, that can be caused by:
‣ You don't own any servers
‣ You don't have Administrator permissions or a bot master role on any server you're on
‣ You're logged on with a wrong account (the most common problem)

The third one can be fixed by following these steps:
1. Logout from Discord in your browser (not installed client or mobile app)
1.1 Open https://discord.com/channels/@me in your browser
1.2 Click on \⚙ icon (User Settings)
1.3 Scroll down, click Log Out and confirm the action

2. Logout from MEE6 website
2.1 Open https://mee6.xyz in the same browser
2.2 Click on the avatar icon in the upper right corner

It is but you need extremely elevated permissions. You need administrator permissions. Most bots require manage server permission but mee6 needs administrator.

And to manage the dashboard once it's added:

For free version you need: administrative permissions (effectively grants all server permissions)

For premium they can add a role to the "bot masters" list in the settings tab of the dashboard instead. That will allow you to manage the bot if they give you the same role they add to that list. Anyone with that role can manage the dashboard.

MEE6 says I have no servers, but that's not true...

Well, that can be caused by:
‣ You don't own any servers
‣ You don't have Administrator permissions or a bot master role on any server you're on
‣ You're logged on with a wrong account (the most common problem)

The third one can be fixed by following these steps:
1. Logout from Discord in your browser (not installed client or mobile app)
1.1 Open https://discord.com/channels/@me in your browser
1.2 Click on \⚙ icon (User Settings)
1.3 Scroll down, click Log Out and confirm the action

2. Logout from MEE6 website
2.1 Open https://mee6.xyz in the same browser
2.2 Click on the avatar icon in the upper right corner
2.3 Click Logout

3. Login using correct account
3.1 Open https://mee6.xyz and click Login button in the upper right corner
3.2 In the new window log in to Discord. After that, you will be redirected back to the MEE6 website
3.3 That's all! Now you're using the correct account and the MEE6 website lists servers where you can modify his settings

P.S. If you're on mobile and some elements are not visible, enable Desktop site mode or switch screen to Landscape (vertical) mode.

You said you are entering your log in and it's popping up with your old account

That would suggest you are logging in with the wrong account information.

You need to use the new email and password for the new account. Not the old one.

Other then that I'm not sure what to tell you. If you truly wiped your browsing data and are using the correct log in information for the correct account it will log you into the correct account.
